In recent years, FB has become more of a hub for younger men 25-34 and also 18-24 and unfortunately they’re more likely to have biases against a romantic relationship like Caryl’s. That could be one of the issues you’re running into.

I’ve also talked before about how Caryl fans are retreating to more private corners of the internet or avoiding online spaces altogether because of increased bullying, but to address your concern about the GA, I think some are having a harder time recognizing the romance that we know was written into the show early on because of how much Gimple pulled back on their arc and how much AMC pulled back on marketing them (for reasons that had nothing to do with the story or with changes in the market, I will add 🤨)

The good news I suppose is it all comes down to target audience. It’s better to have 2 million guaranteed fans who will follow you to the ends of the earth than 4 million wishy washy fans who won’t guarantee viewership and take A LOT more effort to market to.

The marketing for S2 of le spinoff is most definitely aimed at Carylers, so AMC knows there’s a lot to be gained from their viewership. I just think with the damage S1 is doing and the gaslighting from actors and EPs on top of the mistrust from ruining S11 and the original spinoff, they’re going to need to hit a lot harder and soon.

While S10 aired, the Caryl fandom was booming and once the spinoff was announced, we were like weeds that wouldn’t stop growing (I started my blog a month after the announcement). They were the runner-up in TV Guide’s best endgame ship poll, they made Tumblr’s top 100 list, the social media manager for Skybound at the time said the Caryl engagement beat other TWD ships by miles. I think we can get that energy back, but Caryl fans 👏 need 👏 fuel. We need to feel validated for shipping them.

I completely understand feeling like no one is listening, so my advice is keep reminding them that you’re here. Keep being vocal about what you want and what you'd pay for. I know what I'd pay for…👀

Endless Gym has a variety of brochures in the reception area, and they cater to all sorts of gym-goers, from beginner level to advanced.

The brochures have all been pre-tested to a random sample of their target audience, and comments and suggestions made by the group were taken into serious consideration.

(There are brochures for tai chi classes, extreme sports training, self-defense, dancing, etc.)

Destruction's brochure underwent the pre-test stage as well, though I suppose he's more involved in the creation process and had insisted on the exploding volcano and raining hellfire theme. 😂 His target audience is, of course, very intense people (who would voluntarily sign up for classes named Surviving The Zombie Apocalypse Regimen 💀), so the brochure was approved in the end. 🤷‍♀️

It's a mystery how Hob got Destruction's brochure. Maybe Jo just picked one at random, thinking that the contents of all the brochures are the same?

Definitely the most ""refined and pristine"" of the bunch I am about to talk about, I acknowledge this. But it turns out I didn't care about mormons when I saw Book of Mormon back in the day and went "eh." and I STILL DON'T CARE ABOUT THEM NOW. I unfortunately was not strong enough to finish this show. The first two episodes barely had Andrew Burnap and it was hard to continue knowing that there was some unsavvvvourrryyyy content waiting ahead of me. I'm always torn when talking about shows like this like what do you do when you know it's technically more competent but alsooo....it's more boring to you?

They did my girl so dirty. This whole movie has the aesthetic of a high schooler's first photoshop project being a mood board inspired by a Taylor Swift song but all they use is the first 5 images you find on google search when you type in 'fall' and 'latte'. This movie told me "salt is spicy :(((" This is like if you could turn a cursive live, laugh, love sign into a look of a whole movie. They are dressing Phillipa Soo up like the most interesting thing she has to put on her dating profile is "I like reading :)". Two points though because for exactly one brief scene she was shoulder out, hair swooped dramatically and I whispered "slay".

Charmed (2018)

Verdict: 3/10

My worstie. My bestie. The beginning of the end. The moment that cemented that my bar was low. Honestly this would have been far and away the worst thing I watched for a Camelot cast member but One True Loves swooped in last minute and took home the gold(?) for being even more incompetent and even cheaper. I honestly have way too much to say about it though, which is proof that I somehow got emotionally invested. I'm convinced they had some sort of business deal struck with the Zara brand because everyone dresses like a business casual 35 year old woman on her way to the office (NO MATTER WHAT THEIR PERSONALITY IS THEY ALL DRESS LIKE THIS.) They must be getting awful direction or something because nooobody is doing a good job in the acting department (I'm typing this through tears. I'm choking and sobbing as I confess this to you all). There's DEFINITELYYYY a colourism problem. The show does NOT know how to utilize it's fun setting seriously for a show with witches you'd be SHOCKED how little magic is used in this show. THERE'S SO LITTLE WHIMSY!! and yet............I found myself bewitched (I'm sorry) by the show. I have given episodes rewatches. I have literally fallen to the floor, on all fours, WHEEZING, watching the bad credit card product placement in one of the episodes. My friend and I got to the episode where they say 'The curse is lifted! :) But the struggle continues' (the struggle....IS RACISM!!!) and our jaws DROPPED. A character projectile vomited on a man and he EXPLODED and all that were left were his boots in a smoking pile. It sucks but in a way I can't look away from. I wish there were ungodly amounts of seasons of this show. I wish Jordan Donica was trapped in a 13 season cycle of being this show's damsel in distress (no actually no I don't)

So I've got two I'm actively working on right now, one is To Whom it May Concern, my Age of Burning Fields AU, and the other is another FicsForArt!2024 oneshot!

The first is hovering at about 30k words and I really love it. It's about coming of age, and finding out who you are, and forgiving yourself, and trusting yourself and giving yourself permission to pursue the thing that makes you happy, even if it's scary to do or you don't think you deserve it. It's very moody. And by moody I mean slow and long-winded, ha! But I went into it knowing it would very much be a piece where the target audience is 100% me so I am enjoying being selfish with it 😂

The oneshot is a TotK piece, hashtag bittersweet but hopeful! and I'm struggling with which voice I want to use a bit but all the pieces are there in my head, just gotta figure out how I want to say it. 😆 But the art is bomb and the sentiment behind it is 🤌✨ so I'm enjoying it a lot!

I know I was gonna do notes for the new Percy Jackson book, but in true Percy Jackson ADHD fashion, I stopped like a third of the way in bc it started feeling like a chore. And now I’m making this post days after finishing it 🤷🏻

But congratulations Rick Riordan on once again attracting his target reader audience

It was really good tho. If I wasn’t so bone tired lately, I would’ve finished it two days, but it took me like four lol. So if you have problems focusing on reading for long periods of time, this book is phenomenal (granted, I read oodles of college level books last year for my degree so middle grade is like a walk in the park but…my point still stands). This book is lower stakes than the original series, but if you love Percy as much as I do, this is great 😅😅 GIVE THAT BOY A BREAK

I’ll post a few spoilers below if you’re curious and nosey on what happens but don’t want to read the book. I encourage you to look up the general synopsis tho bc I’m not gonna write about that. This is gonna be my highlights.

Poseidon is a crocs and socks guy and I couldn’t be more happy. This is my biggest highlight. I’m not joking. Like of course he is. He’s also building an infinity pool in his underwater summer getaway which is just great. He’s trying to build a relationship ship with Percy so that’s great. Percy seems to be chill with that but he knows Poseidon’s gotta work for it.

Zeus being the reason why Percy’s gotta get 3 letters of recommendation. And why his first and only kite as a kid was struck down 😭😭😭

The existence of the restaurant Himbo Juice in this book surely means that Rick is aware of the femboy Hooters meme. Like I feel it in my nuggets

Percy and Annabeth sure are Percabeth-ing in this book and it gives me life. Like I can’t pinpoint an exact moment bc it’s everywhere.

I looooooove how Ganymede is painted as a victim of grooming in this book. Bc of course. And I looooove how Iris sympathizes with him bc she understands his situation and knows how he got an even worse deal than she did in his position. It’s also interesting how Riordan hops around this within the confines of middle grade fiction.

Also Ganymede feeling obligated to fill and top off everyone’s cups (demigod or not) was a nice touch

Iris has a demigod child that only loves monochrome and it’s killing her. Amazing

Sally Jackson is living her best life with Paul and is now a published author. AND SHE’S PREGNANT 😆😆😆😆😆😆 AND PERCY IS EXCITED TO BE A BIG BROTHER 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆 oh I love it. Honestly, I could have a book just on that with him doing big brother babysitting.

Hebe has a Chuck E Cheese establishment called Hebe Jeebies where people can become younger as they play games and eat cardboard pizza. And she has killer chickens that will eat your flesh and conduct chicken fights. ALSO THE MAIN CUSTOMERS BEING BOOMERS BC THEY CANT GROW UP IS HILARIOUS. Burn.

When the trio was turned 8 temporarily, Percy was so anxious bc childhood trauma obvi. But Percy going “I don’t want to go through growing up again. I won’t. I’m so scared,” was owie.

In fact, Percy being so anxious he pressure washed (pressure bombed?) a cave is relatable. If every time I had a panic attack I became a pressure washer, my neighborhood street would be so clean.

The god of old age (whose name escapes me) being the one who stole the chalice made a lot of sense. AND PERCY EMBRACED HIM INSTEAD OF FIGHTING HIM BC HE WILL BE FIGHTING OLD AGE HIS WHOLE LIFE AND HE WANTS TO GROW OLD😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 I was tearing up. I think this was really targeted toward the young adult/approaching middle age audience. Damn you Riordan

Percy broke into Zeus’ chamber in Olympus to return the chalice and the only god to notice him was Athena!!!!!! They literally went “👁️👄👁️ 👀” She’s more tolerant of Percy being Athena’s boyfriend now!!! It’s gettin serious

They have a good relationship! They have very different personalities though and disagree on a lot of things, including Thomas’s choice to return to acting which Laf finds stupid for good reason. Quick backstory: the trauma of being a child actor™ eventually caught up with them after they left their Disney contract so they were messy as fuck in their late teens/early 20s (mostly in their private lives, so to the public it seems like they disappeared post-disney and popped up years later all grown up). Like between the two of them, at least one was gonna end up in prison or dead in a dumpster so they made the mutual decision to leave the industry for good.

Idk if I see him doing much in this au, he’s having a blast running a company and building their luxury sneakers line. I think he and Alexander would really hit it off if he came on set to say hi to Thomas, leading to Alex calling Laf “the good twin” around Thomas lmao

Alex is a few years younger than the twins so he was their target audience at the height of their popularity, although obviously they were much more prominent in the US. He probably caught a couple of episodes, enjoyed their movies, and didn’t think much of it until meeting Thomas. When he does bring it up it’s to mock Thomas or accuse him of calling in favours from old friends to get onto their current project

He wouldn’t……. he always threatens to because “it seems like it’s what you have to do these days for a little attention, what has Hollywood come to🙄”, but realistically he’d be too embarrassed to sink that low and he’s still frustrated about all the dumb things he did in his teens; you go a lil crazy after falling from grace as America’s Sweethearts to a sentence or two on page 16 of a teeny pop magazine.

Prior to returning to acting, he was always talking to Laf about how they should’ve/could’ve done this or that to further their careers if they hadn’t gone off the rails and lost focus (ignoring that that happened because they were literal children who were extremely sheltered and abandoned by the adults in their lives after aging out of profitability) and they’re lucky no one cared enough to publicize their more unflattering moments (Laf tunes him out). "Oh, you can handle it! This is barely anything. Besides, having your hands go numb from too many bags is an essential part of the mall shopping experience. I promise this is so authentic and neccessary." Against your words, you hold out a couple fingers to grab the handles of his bags. He lets go and sighs gratefully, rubbing his hands together to get feeling back into his fingers. You start to lean as you realize the bags were much heavier than you first thought, and you have to do some quick shuffling to avoid toppling over into him.

"I know you said it was easy to get distracted, but I guess I wasn't expecting…"

"Yeah, sorry. I just wanna make sure I don't forget anything we actually came here for."

"I get it. I really don't mind." He smiles that smile at you, the one that always makes your face light up and your heart sing and your worries and doubts and regrets sound like dull buzzing of the past underneath the loud simmer of your affection for him, and he points at a set of chairs in the nearby walkway. "This is my first time having to get so dressed up. I'm learning a lot."

"Well, it's not like I'm a pro at it either. You've seen what I wear to the office sometimes." He laughs and nods, and he tugs gently on your arm to steer you away from bumping into somebody. When your shoulder brushes against his arm, you take advantage of it to lean your head against him before leading him across the stream of people toward the chairs. You set your bags down and roll your wrists, looking around for a map. "I didn't think it would take quite this long to find something good, though."

"I promise, I don't mind." He taps the top of your head with one finger. You hum, so he leans down and presses a kiss in the spot he just tapped. As he stands back up, you lock your arms around his neck and pull him into a proper kiss, albeit one that's much too quick for your liking. You are in public, though, and having him spontaneously combust just wouldn't do, so you'll have to settle for his nervous laughter and wobbly smile for now. "Especially if I get more of those."

"So you're saying you wouldn't mind even if we stopped at every single store, right?"

"Well…"

"Ooh, and what about that one? Something for you, perhaps?" You nudge his side and point your elbow toward the lingerie store just behind you. He barely glances before snapping his head in the opposite direction. When his hand comes up to rub at the back of his neck, you're honestly not sure if his discomfort is emotional or physical.

"I… don't think I'm their target audience." You catch even yourself off guard by how loudly you laugh. You slap a hand over your mouth, clearing your throat in an attempt to disguise your remaining giggles.

"Well, I admit that would be pretty fun to see." You take a mental screenshot of the way his cheeks light up, filing that information away to use later. "But I meant for you. Like… as a present?"

"But you… Oh! I-I-I see! You don't need- I mean I don't need- it's not- we, um. That is-"

"Hey, baby." You tap a finger over his lips, and he stops talking just long enough to nod. "I'm just teasing." His smile is still lopsided and his cheeks are still warm, but his shoulders creep away from his ears when you kiss him, and you think you might just melt from how endearing it is. You pull away to slip the bags back over your arm, laughing when he jerks forward to snatch some away from you. "We should focus on what we came for, anyway. But, if you change your mind, let me know."

He shifts all his bags to one hand and reaches for you with the other, rolling his eyes as he pulls you toward the second floor.

You'd be lying if you said you weren't worn down by now. You'd started off hopeful and excited, but one store after another had been a disappointment, and if this one didn't meet your standards you were probably going to have to go home with nothing helpful to show for the hours you'd spent. Serizawa was doing his best to remain cheerful, but you could tell it was getting to him, too. You believed him - and agreed - when he said he was just happy to spend the time with you, but it was way more people than he was used to being around, and you could see the pinch at the ends of his smile and feel the way his hand twitched in yours when the volume swelled. You wanted to get him home.

"Let's make this the last one."

He didn't have the energy to fight you, just nodding and squeezing your hand.

You wander around, scanning the rows of clothing as you make your way down the main aisles.

"Should we just go home? I might just be tired, but I don't see anything good." He hums, low in the back of his throat, so you nod, turning to head for the door. Your arm jerks as you feel resistance, and you look back to find him staring off into the distance.

"Wait." He points to a mannequin in the back corner, then to another a couple racks over. "What about those?"

"Holy shit." They're clearly separate outfits given their distance apart, but everything about them looks like they were made to go together - from the color, to the fabric, to the pattern of how the stitching on the sides is tailored. "Katsuya."

"Hmm?"

"You're a fashion genius."

"I am?"

You don't have time to see his pleased expression before he's stumbling to follow behind you, practically running as you pull him along. You set your bags down to rummage through the racks, and he picks them up just in time to catch the clothes you haphazardly chuck at him.

"Sorry! Stay there!"

"R-right!" He straightens, standing awkwardly still as he waits for you to sprint over to the other rack and find the right size of everything for the other outfit. You sling everything over your shoulder and take the clothes back from him, looping your hand into the crook of his elbow to drag him to the fitting room.

You push the door open for him before slipping in behind him to lock it. He looks a little shell-shocked as he sets the bags down in the corner, and you drop the clothes onto the bench to reach for him. You slide your hands up both sides of his face and pull him down to press a gentle kiss to the tip of his nose.

"Sorry. I got very excited."

"I noticed." He tilts his head to kiss you fully, and your fingers slide back into his hair. "It was cute."

You click your tongue, ruffling his hair as you pull away to hide your flustered state. "Oh, stop flattering me and put these on." You pick his set of clothes out of the pile, wrinkled as all hell by now, and hold them out in one hand as your sift through your own clothes with the other.

"Okay." He gently takes the clothes, a huge smile plastered across his face, and you can't resist the urge to kiss him one more time.

Ordinarily, you would take every chance you had to tease him in a situation like this, but both of you are so tired that you strip without much pretense, throwing your clothes in a pile by the door like it's your hamper back at home. He laughs when you trip trying to take your shoe off and lets you scramble to catch his shoulder, but otherwise keeps his eyes politely in the other direction. It's not until both of you have stopped moving that you look over at each other, and you take a sharp breath in as you survey him.

"Damn." You reach up to straighten his tie, smoothing your hand down his chest as your gaze makes its way down his figure. "You clean up nice, Serizawa."

He's too busy staring at you to respond. You'll take that as a good sign.

"Here, let's see…" You put your hands on his hips to spin him toward the mirror, and he seems to blink himself back to awareness as you take your place beside him. He holds his arm out to let you wrap your elbow around it, and he smiles when you lean against him. "What do you think? Do we look good, or what?"

"Yeah." His voice is breathy, and it makes your own breathing catch in your throat. He pulls his arm out of your grasp and reaches around behind you, resting his hand on your hip to pull you against him again. He presses his nose into your neck, kissing you as soon as you lean toward him, before straightening to rest his chin on your head. You can feel him surveying you more than you can see it, and your temperature shoots up when his hand tightens on your hip.

"Hey…"

"Mhm?"

"Can we go back to that...?"

You blink, looking up at his face in the mirror.

"You said to tell you if I changed my mind, so..."

You bury your face in his chest and let out a breathy chuckle. "Tell you what." You pull yourself away from his side to lay your original clothes out. "When we get home, we can do some online shopping instead." You don't miss the way his gaze hovers as you pull the fabric over your head - just high enough over your shoulder that he could say he wasn't looking if pressed, but close enough that you both know he's staring. "That way we can both be flustered in peace. Deal?" He slips a finger into the knot of his tie and jerks his hand out. It comes easily undone, one end fluttering across his wrist to drape down his arm as he swallows thickly.

"Deal."

I might have finally convinced my dad to give it a try to KDramas... 😳 🙊

How? He keeps working on his french skills (he's already fluent) but he's getting tired of watching Star Trek... understandably since he's been watching it for years and ignoring me. So I gathered several dramas that I liked, and that according to his requests were sort of friendly and not so violent. All of them have the audio on french. Except one 👀 but he actually looks interested on it because of my arguments:

* KDramas are more likely to follow guidelines and keep NSFW and violent content at bay. They're clean. Most of them.

* They're reliable. Unlike other content. They stick to what is promised. Again. Most of them. But honestly this is a huge thing that makes me to not worry.

* Most of them avoid inappropriate talk and/or are soft compared to other shows.

* There's a bunch of content, that depends on your targeted audience, not only romance or comedies. It can be really interesting.

For now our best bets are:

♡ Law School (not in french but it piqued his curiosity. But personally I think he's probably gonna drop it cause he doesn't like subtitles ^^u)

Vampire!Shinichi. Working title: Different Means. This fic would also feature magicalblood!Kaito (he’s basically vampire catnip in this scenario, let’s be real) and would be rated E for sexy times as well as for violence. (Whump? You better believe it.) The idea belongs to @kiwi-tries-to-write and their friend, but I got real obsessed with it and they said it would be okay if I wrote my take on it : ) This would be a little bit of a longer fic – chapters instead of a one-shot.

Gay drama! Working title: runner. Kaito’s deeply closeted and dealing with some internalized homophobia and it’s ruining his and Shinichi’s relationship. Can love conquer all? Well this one’s got a happy ending, so yeah, I guess it can lol It will be rated either E or M for sexy times – not sure yet. I’m guessing this will be a one-shot.

Porn! Working title: It Was Only Just a Dream. Starts out with Shinichi having a sexy dream and Kaito doing a bit of voyeurism. Ends with actual sexy times~ Rated E. No plot. One-shot.

Other porn! Working title: Rival Fantasy. Involving blindfolded Shinichi, a bit of bondage, and a bit of roleplay as sort of pre-relationship thief and detective (instead of the practically married couple they already are in this fic). Rated E. No plot. One-shot.

Blackout: the sequel to Tales of Travel in the Fall into Flying universe! I’ve been working on Blackout for probably three years now, and I’m still only halfway through the eighth chapter. The pandemic messed me up for a while, but if the people decree, I will get my butt back on track and focus in on this mighty beast of a story!

it's basically kind of based on real events. not that happened to me but i know the introduction happens a lot. essentially, my idea is mc is a call girl or escort. not selling sex, she is sold as a date. jumin is alone, v is dead and he has no one so on v's birthday, he's feeling very low and calls the service, just to have someone to talk to. he gets mc and they end up not as friends but jumin finds he can tolerate her presence when he's alone. eventually the fake dating trope comes in when his father starts trying to arrange marriages again so he pretends to date mc to get his father off his back. but mc falls in love while jumin does not. and one day, once his father has stopped pressing the marriage issue as much, jumin terminates the fake relationship with mc... and when he calls next to purchase her company, he finds out that she left the escort business suddenly and he has no way to find her.

and in real life escort services (and others where you can buy the company of a person), it is very common to get people who just miss someone. a daughter, a mother, an ex, a friend. they're not the "target" audience but it's ended up being a very common occurrence that these very sad and lonely people just need another person to listen to them, to help them with a difficult night. in some cases, the client will ask the service if they can pretend to be whoever died, or they'll request someone who looks like whoever they're missing. it's sad but beautiful in its own way and it's always torn at my heart strings.

will i ever write this fic? i really want to. i know the entire plot, i know the pivotal scenes. but for some reason, i've only ever written those first few sentences and nothing more. but if there's interest, nano is coming up and while it won't be 50k words, it might be fun to work on that.

For Royai I'm sorry but sweet with no angst is something I haven't come up with yet. And probably won't lol. I guess you can go with this extremely short prompt answer OR this fic that could actually stand by itself I think ? It's sweet alright but really starts with angst soooo (this is all I can write with those two. Whatever happens everything will be bittersweet... suits them). This one, for the Daredevil fandom, is just Foggy getting Matt a present for his birthday, resulting in him getting his signature glasses. It's just what it says on the tin. Sweet and fun friendship fic.

I even found one for the Ripper Street fandom, guys! lol

☕️ thoughts on social media as a whole and where you personally think it’s toxic 👀

I have. Very mixed feelings on social media. Part of it from a personal standpoint and part from a professional one. I’m a social media manager so I have a lot of thoughts on that front lmao

However, I mainly find toxicity stemming from influencer culture because there’s so little transparency. Especially on Instagram/tiktok. And a lot of them are famous only because they’re kind of good looking. And there’s no way for smaller creators to grow (in any genre really) because these platforms are all so overly saturated with big name accounts who have been in the game for years or even since social media first became a thing.

Twitter sucks ass because there’s no way for things to circulate for artists/creators without them just having to constantly repost. If it gets no traction, it’s gone into the void.

Lastly, unless you find a REALLY good circle, fandom spaces on social media are some of the most toxic places. They’re cliquey, bigger accounts can be so awful and it’s usually just the same group of people sharing one another’s stuff

On a professional note, social media has reached a point where the only way to grow your brand/image is to succumb to the TikTok-ification of platforms to appeal to the algorithm and younger audiences, even if that’s not your target demographic.

Your fic was good! I love short smut fics, sometimes you just want to get to the hot shit without all the fluff and exposition to wade through. I probably missed some things by not really being familiar with Goat, but I feel like the way you described their interactions let me get a good grasp on the characters and their dynamic (although any time I can picture Nick Jonas while reading smut is a good time whether I know what’s really going on or not lol). Just a heads up, there are a couple times at the end where Amy is suddenly referred to as “they” after being “she” for the whole rest of the fic. I always appreciate when people let me know about typos in my fics so thought you might want to know too <3

Also thanks for letting me know about the pronoun mishaps! I go by they/them and I've been writing they/them in my Joe fic so switching back to she/her for other fics has been a STRUGGLE and I knew I was gonna slip up at some point.

Literally the only context you need for not having watched Goat is Phi Sig is the frat and Chance is Brett's best friend and I believe they grew up together based on how much Chance cares about Brad (Brett's brother) throughout most of the movie.

I'd recommend watching the movie, but it's a hard watch. Even me who enjoyed dark fucked up movies couldn't watch it in one shot. The real Brad Land said the movie was "hauntingly accurate" to what he went through.

As for more Nick smut WE WILL SEEE

I do have a Jumanji WIP in the works that might be smutty - or I might just post smutty one-shots swperate about Jefferson because he's so hot in that role it makes me angry.

I have probably 5-10 trashy Spideypool AU's that are like... freeform plot outlines (enough detail that someone could easily take them and flesh out the story from beginning to end, some including dialogue or ending scenes etc). Stripper AUs, ABO lab experiment with a side of dubcon AUs, abusive caste system AU, that kind of thing. Hilariously little porn and probably way too much plot for any of them to hit with an audience, and while I'm a "never say never" kind of person, I'm more motivated to work on other projects at the moment.

What is your fave fic to receive comments/messages on?

The fics I lovingly refer to as "the weird ones". Every so often I will have a funky little idea for an au or something and it compells me in the late hours and I just have to get it out of my brain, target audience be damned. For Metal Gear this was "Rat in a Foxhole", which was an AU that imagined if hackerman/guy in the chair Otacon had been (stupidly) enrolled in the same military program as Solid Snake. An alternate first meeting story that ended in a way that brought it more in line with established canon (albeit with some added layers). This was one that sprung into my brain almost fully formed when I saw some art by the talented @polmcarts and I just had to write it.

For Spideypool it's "The Man in the Mask"- a story that ended up being oddly prophetic on my part. It was a story I wrote when I was processing my own anger about the detention camps at the border, but the AU involves a world ending pandemic... I wrote this in 2017 mind. It's a bit of a "bottle episode" that deals with a Wade who has more or less given up and has resigned himself to be shunted around wherever people throw him and a Peter who has given up being Spider-Man because the world needs him as a researcher more than it does a hero.

Since these were stories I wrote entirely for myself, it's really touching when they resonate with other people- for any reason, because it feels like we're connecting for personal reasons that come from something beyond fandom, and I think that's neat.

Is there anything you enjoy doing that you think your readers hate?

Hahaha, I have witnessed people dunking on multiple/split POV fics quite a bit. But I tend to co-write with others a lot, often in the form of RP (written with the intent of becoming a fic) so this is in inevitability. Stories do spend a lot of time in edits to make sure that there is a flow and to minimize confusion on who is doing/thinking what in any given moment, and I like to think I've gotten better at that with practice. I actually think my skills as an editor have grown as much as a writer. Maybe more, haha.

I'm probably not inclined to stop doing this any time soon. I enjoy the collaborative process way too much.

Since I don't even have a "rambled to my buddy at 3 am in a DM" plotline hashed out so much as "oh and you know what else would be good" pings in my head, I don't think it's really a WIP. Like, the ingredients are in the fridge but I haven't started cooking.
