A feast for the Bubblegum Prince.

Alphonse woke up, tied to a chair hus breathing became erratic as he looked at the table he was sat at. It had so many foods and candy he loved, it almost seemed like...Boo's? A door was kicked open as Seth walked through with his dad tied on a chair.

"Oh! Your awake, good!" A crazed smile was paired with the greeting Alphonse got. Seeing those sad brown eyes again was messing with him. It didn't help they looked manically as well.

"S...Seth what's going on?" Testing the waters gently to see where Seth was mentally was the best choice Alphonse had right now. Seth's dad was knocked out head slumped on one side while having cuts all over him. Seemed like Seth finally got his revenge from all those beatings as a kid.

"Oh! Just a go away party! I was able to have your new friend cook for us!" Showing off the food Seth grabbed a taffy and ripped it open. Slowly coming to Alphonse he gently held his chin and held it up for him to eat. Not wanting to anger him Alphonse opened his mouth, now chewing in the taffy he thanked Seth.

"That was um really good! But Seth? Where...Where's..." Alphonse cut himself off when seeing a big silver platter on the table. Sucking in a breath he looked at Seth his eyes wide with tears. No...no his soft boy would never do that to someone-

"Oh! Me and Jolene made a special snack for you!" Slowly going to the platter Seth held the top to it. Blood rushed in Alphonse's head thinking of what was there, then the top was ripped off the platter.

"SETH NO PLEASE!" Sobbing out Alphonse leaned forward to not look at the platter. He didn't want to see Boo's head there, but he heard a crazy laughter from Seth. Brazen himself to look Alphonse finally did but only saw....hair? Wait that-

"It's Jolene's! Sadly I'm not that good of a barber but their tied up at the moment!" The last bit made Alphonse remember that day Seth tried to teach him how to tie a knot. The pinkette started to cry ugly at the thought that his partner might be dead or trapped somewhere where you can save them.

Seth placed the top down and walked to Alphonse cooing at him as he tried to touch him. A flinch was his response as Alphonse tried to control his breathing. Seth pulled him in closely whispering words to comfort him but nothing work. The bubblegum prince was crying for his partner he lost and he doesn't even know if they were alive.

"Come on! This feast is fit for you. Enjoy it okay? My Bubblegum Prince." Love or obsession was filled in those words. Alphonse didn't care anymore, his emotions were everywhere and his Boo was no where to be found. He never was religious but he started praying to whatever God would help and save them.

Viktor's Sources of "Inspiration"

The hexcore is incomplete. Currently Viktor only has the runes of Precision, Domination, Sorcery, and Resolve. To complete the hexcore and unlock it's true potential he'll need Inspiration, but where will he find it?

Viktor could find Inspiration through Sky. The most noteworthy possible hint was in Sky's last scene. Sky's last words to herself were how Viktor inspired her, and in that moment we get a glimpse of her notebook. Some have speculated that the emblem on the cover of her notebook resembles the Inspiration rune itself.

Sky also left a series of notes from her undisclosed research project. From the quick shots we get of her notes we can assume Sky was researching methods to stimulate plant growth. Her research may be in a similar vein to Viktor's research where he experimented with how the hexcore reacted to organic plant matter and stimulated its growth in turn. Could Sky's research be the key that will help Viktor stabilize the effects of the hexcore on organic matter like plants (and people)?

Even in death Sky's character could serve to reflect the theme of inspiration that Viktor desperately needs...

Except the Inspiration rune does represent the literal definition of the word "inspiration". In Runeterra, the Inspiration rune is meant to symbolize the ability to "Outwit mere mortals". In-game the Inspiration path gives players a set of tools they can use to apply unconventional strategies to outwit their enemies. And the one character that demonstrates those traits the best in Arcane is Jinx.

The first time the Inspiration rune's meaning was applied correctly in a sentence was when Viktor was describing the design of Jinx's chomper grenade. And it's true, thematically Jinx's chomper grenades and they way she uses them align with how "inspired" tools work.

Jinx was able to pull off a 3-in-1 trick with her chomper. The grenade was the bait and the snare against the enforcers, the distraction Jinx used to steal classified technology and info from Piltover, and the means that Jinx would use to frame the Firelights in her crimes. Technically she's gotten away with it all so far. What Jinx with her tools does isn't just outwitting her enemies, she's running laps around them.

Another possible clue that could mean Jinx will help Viktor discover the Inspiration rune is that her champion tag was disguised as a rune within the hexcore in Viktor's Magician tarot card. The same tarot card that gives us a brief shot of the Machine Herald's silhouette.

Maybe this all leads to Viktor working with Jinx next season, even learning from her to the point where he'll even end up taking a page out of Jinx's playbook. Viktor's set to be banished from his research bubble in Zaun, in a time where allies will be hard to come by and enemies will be easy to make.

Sky and Jinx are two very different characters that manage to apply the term inspiration in two very different ways. I want to think that was on purpose by the writers. But who knows for sure though, we can only see how things turn out next season.

tldr: Sky represents the traditional definition of inspiration, while Jinx better embodies the Runeterra's definition of the actual Inspiration rune. Sky's death may also be a weird rune pun.

Mel 🔆, Viktor 🌌, and Jayce 🔥 symbolism

SUN 🔆

Mel's association with the sun is self-evident and still mostly shrouded in mystery, though her love scene with Jayce is notable, which is overlaid with starry imagery, where her silhouette and her freckled face are compared to the cosmos. The sun is also a star. It's just the star that's closest to Runeterra and has the most influence over the world.

Mel and the Hexcore are the POVs of the scene.

Hexcore and starry imagery is more strongly and consistently associated with someone else, though!

STARS 🌟 / THE COSMOS 🌌

Viktor's blue to purple pipeline is real

But seriously, the starry/swirly shapes point toward distant stars, the cosmos, a galaxy. There is no moon in Viktor's night scenes throughout the season, only stars.

Viktor's character regresses as the season goes on (blue to purple, ready to fall into Shimmer-like magenta as his corruption nears its peak).

His hubris opens him up to some kind of corruption by the Hexcore, or by whatever - or whoever - is using the Hexcore as a gateway, like what Jinx points out. Singed as his mentor plants and encourages the lie that Viktor believes, that he's better off alone and that the ends justify the means.

These perfectly ruinous circumstances lead to him getting Sky killed (Sky like sky blue, like Inspiration, lost as Viktor has lost sight of good in his pursuit of great).

In his running scene, Viktor runs not from left to right, filmspeak for progression - he runs from right to left, as though backstepping.

(And also for the Rocky Balboa reference called out in this brilliant post, but hey, I think it all works)

It's also worth laying the foundation that Viktor is a fantasy interpretation of Nikola Tesla, the Serbian-American inventor who was fascinated with electricity, radio signals, the cosmos, and [REDACTED for another post probably lol]

If you've fallen down the rabbit hole of League lore like I have, you might have picked up that peoples and warriors who are sun-worshipers are (at least anciently) tasked with hunting down and destroying Void beings, who are eldritch beings associated with the distant stars, or are Runeterrans constructed by the Void Watchers trapped between realms. The sun fights against interlopers from other dimensions or celestial bodies.

Mel and Viktor have the same ideas about risk and the nature of progress, and they are both technically foreigners living in Piltover and pursuing that progress - in two very different (but complementary) ways. They are most likely the two characters whose literal bodies are celestial, imbued with the Arcane. Their bodies are most likely augmented with magical metals.

Yet the arcane imagery that seems to accompany them respectively are diametrically opposed - Sun vs. Void, possibly. (Also, purple and yellow/gold are opposite or complement colors on the color wheel.)

Whether they wind up working together or whether they clash (as Viktor loses himself) or if it's a mix of both, I think Mel and Viktor are destined to collide in season 2.

So where does this leave Jayce?

FIRE 🔥

Fire for Jayce means more than one thing. The first thing that should come to mind is the fire of the forge. Creation and industry. The legacy and hard work of his family.

However, his FIRST imagery with fire occurs when Elora says "Speak of the devil" and Jayce is framed in flames at Mel's fundraising party.

He's similarly framed in the flames of a Molotov cocktail on the bridge between Piltover and the undercity with Viktor, after he's just called the people of the undercity dangerous.

What I think we're being shown here are Jayce's choices. He can use his talents and influence for good - creation and industry - or he can use them for destruction and oppression. A hammer can create.

A hammer can also be a weapon, a tool of destruction:

Fire can quickly burn and spread out of control.

Hey look, blue all the way to magenta in one scene!

And if you know his original League lore, the reason why his rivalry with [REDACTED] crosses the point of no return - fire and destruction. Yeah.

Jayce is interesting because his point position in the Mel-Viktor-Jayce trifecta makes it tempting to assign celestial imagery to him, too. However, adult Jayce is only present with Hexcore, star, and sun imagery when he is sharing a scene with Viktor or Mel respectively.

The show makes it a point that Mel and Viktor are the reasons he is the Man of Progress at all:

Note that Jayce in the center of his Man of Progress posters is backed by a gear (Viktor) and the sun (Mel). If Viktor had not intervened in episode 2, Jayce would be dead or disenfranchised. If Mel had not intervened in episode 3, then Jayce AND Viktor would have been kicked out of the Academy if not imprisoned or exiled, and Hextech with Jayce and Viktor at the helm would not exist.

(This is reaching, but I like to interpret that the circle + notches in the gear shape are like Viktor's star symbolism, but even if that's the big reach that I think it is, Viktor is a machinist, engineer, and techmaturgist with Artificer parents - the gear definitely represents him on a meta level)

The imagery that I believe is Jayce's and Jayce's alone is that of fire. He is terrestrial, using magic contained within tools the way he has always wanted to bring Hextech to every household, while Mel and Viktor are influenced by magic on a whole other level.

Sure would be a shame if Jayce found a reason to choose the path of destruction and be corrupted further, diverging from Mel and Viktor's core values

Sure would be a shame if Viktor's personal choices had consequences that radiated out further than season 1 and he gets put on a disastrous collision course with everything that Jayce and by extension Piltover hates and fears

Sure would be stressful for us if Arcane decided to be a Greek tragedy about it

Though possibly the most important piece of this picture is how Mel - gold like the sun, gold that doesn't tarnish or rust, gold that is an excellent conductor - has already faced the abyss and said NO to her own corruption:

Hi! I ended up reading through Choas Plan in pretty much two days (your writing is actually phenomenal) but I was actually curious on your inspirations to write it? Did it come from any other particular works or maybe episodes from sp?

You can't just ask me shit like that dude I will respond with a huge fucking essay I LOVE questions like that!!!!

I honestly have several inspirations, many come from the show itself and some I've drawn from cyber crime documentaries and books I like (namely the Six of Crows duology by Leigh Bardugo, you might recognize the scene with Mysterion and Harris in chapter 3 is very VERY similar to the one between Kaz and Jan Van Eck at the beginning of the book), but if you've read the notes in the fic you might have seen that the story idea was initially born when I was playing TFBW.

The Idea

The U-Stor-It scene where Butters/Chaos locks the C**n and Friends in the facility and talks to them through a screen was just so fascinating to me, it reminded me a lot of Jinx from Arcane and the Joker in The Dark Knight (especially because of the flashy decorations and graffiti). Mainly the story evolved from the question I posed to myself in that moment, which was: "What needs to happen for Butters to become someone like Jinx?" and that's how I started brainstorming the backstory.

The Backstory

Obviously that was inspired mainly by Linda's behavior in Butters' Very Own Episode, but it features elements from stuff all over the series and the games that prove just how fucked up Butters' parents are and treat him.

(Remember when in TFBW he mentioned that they bought an electronic lock system to keep him in his room because he left the bathroom once while grounded? yeah, that convinced me Butters' home life probably would only get worse with the years, especially with him entering his teens & puberty, and Post Covid honestly just confirmed that.)

The Villain/Hero Concept

I hadn't yet watched much more of South Park than up until seasons 15/16 so I didn't know about Post Covid's Vic Chaos yet, I mostly just wanted to do something with Mysterion and Chaos that had a darker and serious tone without either of them having any Marvel-esque powers or tech-organizations aiding them, something closer to the South Park lore at hand and realistic enough to feel like it could happen in our world.

Chaos' Methods

With Butters having a knack for Internet-related shit and him being able to hack into a baseball stadium screen to broadcast his evil plans in the Professor Chaos episode, and ofc his whole thing in TFBW and the episode of him becoming a pimp, I figured he has the stuff to be a hacker and entrepreneur.

I started getting spoilered a lot on the whole Vic Chaos and NFT scammer thing so even though I hadn't watched Post Covid I drew a lot of inspiration from that as well. I've been watching a lot of documentaries on Cryptocurrency scams and other cyber crime related stuff, so yeah all that shit also gets my brain generating a bunch of ideas as well.

Mysterion

As for Kenny/Mysterion's side of the story- I'm a huge fan of the "criminal who gets paid by a shitty pig/capitalist who would normally never hire them to take on a job" concept in Six of Crows, so that's how I got Harris involved, later further fueled by his Thin White Line arc in TFBW.

The way Kenny used his death powers in the C**n & Friends episodes I found very intriguing, and I absolutely LOVE playing around with them, so I included my own interpretation & spin of it as an active "superpower" he uses in order to be successful enough as a vigilante to be taken seriously. His canon powers separate him from your average humanbeing. It's a way to show the audience "hey look, Kenny really is just some guy, but also no one else could take on this role, ever. He may not have super strength or speed or money for equipment backing him, but he can get into places and out like no other person ever."

Coming up with a kryptonite-type weakness was also super fun, because I didn't want things to just be too easy. Mainly it's his need to remain anonymous, but the biggest reason for that need is because he needs to keep up his ability to financially support Karen. That, I obviously got from the show-, namely episodes like Mysterion Rises, The Poor Kid and City Part of Town, but his dynamic with Karen got increasingly more interesting and influenced in the fic after I played the TFBW DLC From Dusk Til Casa Bonita. The fact that he's so obsessed with keeping her safe the best way he knows how but completely overlooks to consider letting her have a say in it, is absolutely delicious. Like fuck yes, let's go complicate these character relationships (rubs hands evilly)

TL;DR

Inspirations come from all over, but of course the main ones do come from the show and games. Kenny and Butters have always been increasingly fascinating characters to me the more I watched the show, so the fact that Kenny canonically is the only kid Butters respects (source: s16, Ep "Going Native"), to an extent that in the future Butters funded his entire career, I thought had a shit ton of potential. Hence their friendship in the fic before "the incident", and the way Butters goes about Kenny now that he's taking over the town >:)))

Hey guys, I just wanted to share a few thoughts on the #Moonvale criticism.

I don't really know how to write this, but somehow I was pretty disappointed with all the fuss about the release of the new episode. Not in Everbyte but more in the community, without wanting to criticize anyone. Everyone can say what they want and I thought it was nice that some of you emphasized several times that this isn't about hate, but about constructive criticism.

I understand the points of anger, but then again, somehow I don't.

AI is interesting for a lot of artists at the moment, which doesn't make it reprehensible. Also the point that AI steals works. Of course that's not good, but honestly it could just be a kind of inspiration. If you look, you'll always find a suitable comparison. Like Arcane. But just because there's a woman with blue hair doesn't mean it has to be a version of Jinx. After all, people look for inspiration everywhere. That doesn't make it a copy. (I understand your point completely, of course, and I don't think stealing from artists is a good thing. I'm an artist myself and can relate to it very well)

And about the diamond system... Sure, they spoiled us a bit with the premium package and the diamonds are quite annoying. But good work is worth paying for. (That doesn't mean that you have to pay $50 for it all the time. Especially because there's no obligation behind it.) I'd rather pay something (and that won't happen more than twice a year at the rate they're releasing) than let this studio go under. After all out there are so many artist who get support through.. money. this game isn't a expectation.

The work they do, the effort, the technology they need, the actors. All the work they do behind the scenes to produce this episode... It was so sad to read all these hate comments after they probably put a lot of effort into it for 2 years. I can well imagine that after the release, they were relieved

and hoped that there would be a little more gratitude. Just because they had written something amazing again. However, it quickly went from comments like "bring Jake back" and "I can't wait" to "the game sucks" "this is shit". But as the saying goes: Nothing is so hard as man's ingratitude. For someone who just consumes, it may be justified. But for people who have put their heart and soul into it, even if they made mistakes, it is extremely devastating. People are so quick to only see the negative that all the good is quickly wasted. If you tear it down, then in most cases the criticism only concerns AI and diamonds. The story is structured very similarly to Duskwood in parts. We even got the introduction of the characters, the time when "unknown" appears, the clues, the relationships and even Jake at the end.

And we can even repeat the episodes as often as we like without losing any progress in the game.

I am definitely in favor of appropriate criticism. There is no need to sugarcoat anything that cannot be sugarcoated. What I was actually trying to say here is that I found it so sad how quickly all the positive things are forgotten because the community is upset about "two" settings.

I can finally talk about the stuff that happens in the second fic (Seasons of Change) since it follows V, J and their other squad while everything in BTD is happening, especially now that I've actually got the storyline planned out!

Of course they've got the whole thing with clones going on, and V is not only hiding 5h3 fact that she'a carrying a child, while also having but during this time, a lot of worker drones in places were taken in to be factory reset or completely destroyed as the fear of the solver arose. V, J, P, M and PB get tasked with tracking down a rogue company disassembler and a worker drone that managed to escape containment.

There's a rumor of an underground sanctuary in the mountains of planet Vista, deep within a cave system that no human dares to enter.

(Coughs I definitely wasnt inspired by Kara and Alice from D:BH)

And now i've got an animation idea in my head that I cant make: it's a mixture of the Ekko v.s Jinx bridge scene from Arcane and the chase scene between Kara and Connor in Detroit: Become Human of like. J, V and the others each taking a swing at the two and lunging at them as they run and the rogue disassembler just fucking *bodyslams* V and dodges through the snow, dragging the poor little worker behind.

Get To Know The Mun

what made you pick up the current muse(s) you have? ━━ So, given that I have way too many muses on my blog and Monkey was gracious enough to only ask me about Jinx, I am gonna talk about Jinx. Funny enough, it is really hard for me to pinpoint what made me pick her. Back when I first started writing as Jinx about a year ago, maybe two, nothing about her character was up my alley. Jinx was probably one of the most not my typical muses, I have ever written.

Yet, thinking back on it, I actually remember why I picked her. Believe it or not, it was her mental instability. Back then I was in a really rough spot mentally, like I was overwhelmed with anxieties and worries and a lot of difficulties in sorting out my thoughts. Writing Jinx felt like I could embody this difficulty in my head. She was almost like a pressure valve in that sense. And she kept having that function in my life.

Nowadays, with me having started playing League and getting more involved in that fandom, I cannot think her away from my set of muses. Jinx actually made me grow a lot more confident as I was able to tackle such an unusual topic with her mania and madness. Getting compliments for that really meant a lot.

Over these two years, Jinx has turned into a pretty significant and important muse for me. Likely because I wrote her during such a time of emotional shifts and turmoil. She has stuck by me and I really hope, she is not leaving soon. I am really looking forward to Arcane Season 2, but even so, I hope my inspiration sticks around for a long time.

is there anything you don’t like to write? ━━ I do not really like writing pregnancy threads, but then I never reblog anything, which revolves around that topic. So, it is not like it ever came up. There are some topics like politics and economics, which I have difficulties with when writing, but I don't hate writing those and instead rather embrace the challenge. I just prefer it if you do not throw me into something, without giving me the chance to back out when necessary. A courtesy, which I try to give my partners too. Simply because I know that sometimes I can get a little weird and creepy.

is there anything you really enjoy writing? ━━ I think it has to be gore or horror. I genuinely really love writing anything under the angst umbrella, though, I admit I am very partial to a predatory style of writing. Predatory by the way can both mean animalism but also something in the more non-con and dubious consent valley. In short, I enjoy writing stuff, which leaves you in a bit of a yiekes feeling. I also really enjoy scenes where characters have to confront uncomfortable or tough truths about themselves. I like writing moments when characters actively have to engage with the darker parts of themselves.

how do you come up with headcanons? ━━ Most of the time, when I write a headcanon, it normally is there to answer a big question, I have. I tend to pick certain tropes and principles, I want to portray with a muse, including things I do not want to creep into my portrayal. My first big headcanons normally are there to explain certain core traits or actions in canon. Because of how they tackle broader topics, this also tends to create a domino effect when it comes to headcanons. Ergo one headcanon ends up growing from another. Of course, there are also times when my muses just decide to do certain things and I cannot really pinpoint why they do it. All I know is, that it feels right. Naturally, I also incorporate outside sources for my inspiration, from shows to talk with friends or pictures.

do you write in silence or do you play music?  ━━ I always have music on when I am writing. I am very used to the ambience music creates and I feel almost uncomfortable if I do not hear anything while I am writing. I also often pick specific songs for certain characters, themes, scenes or even genres.

do you plan your replies or wing them? ━━ I think I am a blend of both things. Usually, me and my rp partner have some kind of plan about what narrative arc, we are trying to tell. I try to lead my muses down that narrative arc, while also giving them the freedom to surprise me and my partner and let them do unexpected things. In my eyes, as long as I feel what they do is in character, my muses can make as drastic and curious decisions as they please.

do you enjoy shipping?  ━━ In the past, I probably would have called myself a shipping whore with very little hesitation. However, nowadays I am not so sure anymore. Do not get me wrong: I like exploring romantic dynamics, whether they be toxic or healthy, however, I am starting to come to terms with the fact that it seems that the dynamics, I thrive the most in, are familial and platonic dynamics. I feel like they often have a much bigger variety of possibilities and they can be just as powerful and gutwrenching as any romantic ship. Okay guys, I can’t just sit and wait for Dreamwork to make the Rise of the Guardians sequel. I just can’t. This movie has been keeping my spirits up since I lost my beautiful little pup, Chloe.

She was so young and was suffering to a lung disease and died a few months back. I’m still mourning her loss, but am slowly getting back into my old grove. One movie in particular has been my anchor since then, Rise of the Guardians. This movie gave me hope (no pun intended) for the future. It’s almost like I have an emotional attachment to it. That is why I can’t let it sit and rot in the dumpster. I want to come back, fresh and clean and ready for the whole world to see. I thought, if Dreamworks won’t write a brand-new story with the holiday Avengers/Guardians of the Galaxy, then I will. So, I turned on my computer and wrote out a sequel idea and want to share it with you:

So, this sequel will be inspired by the early concept art that was done for the movie.

The Guardians will look the same as they did from the film, but they will have more book accurate origins and settings. The cast will remain mostly the same, except Jack Frost and North. Look, I LOVE Chris Pine, but I didn’t feel that his adult voice fit the young 17-18 year old winter boy. Like TMNT Mutant Mayhem, he will have a teenage actor to voice him. Along with this, I casted David Harbor as North. Hugh Jackman, Isla Fisher and Jude Law will return as their old characters! Now, I was on the fence of adding a new Guardian in the mix. I enjoy reading Jack Frost/Original Characters just as much as you do, but I sometimes feel as though the new characters need depth or just need to be on their own for themselves to grow. That is why I decided to use a pre-existing character from the novels, Emily Jane AKA Mother Nature.

A bit of background, she is the daughter of Pitch Black, is Mother Nature and is known for being mysterious and unpredictable. As I was designing her for this sequel, I was stuck on making her a Goddess type character who serves as healer for the Guardians or an unpredictable, to-be villain like Jinx from Arcane. If you guys have any suggestions on Emily, please write me. I would love to hear your thoughts. Anyhow, Jamie Bennett and his group of friends (Cupcake, Monty, ETC.) will return, older and ready to help out their newfound friends! Since Jamie Bennett’s voice actor is now an adult, I will have a younger actor take his place. Now, it’s time for the nitty gritty…story and setting.

When watching ROTG, we get a scene where Tooth explaining to Jack Frost how each Guardian’s past is linked to their center. In between the conversation, North says, “You should have seen Bunny!” and laughs. Bunny’s expression hardens as he corrects him, “Hey, I told you never to mention that!” Don’t tell me that his response had didn’t have you raising an eyebrow. There’s another scene in the rising climax when Bunny shouts at Jack after he becomes invisible due to the children not believing in the Easter Bunny anymore. After he yells, he composes himself, “Easter is new beginnings, new life. Easter’s about Hope and now it’s gone.” See in the books, Bunny came from a race of powerful rabbit warriors known as Pooka. They had incredible abilities and were one of Pitch Black’s greatest enemies. When Pitch became evil, he sadly dissolated the population, leaving Bunny as the very last Pooka. Well, ladies and gentlemen, you will see his origins in this sequel.

This sequel will be cut into two acts - Act 1 and 2. There will be flashbacks interwoven when a main plot line ends. The first act will be set in Burgess/The Pole, Tooth Palace and the Warden, the locations from the first film. The second act will be set in an underground nightmare city that sprits such as the Groundhog or the Leprechaun go to collect and trade trinkets they encounter on their journeys. This city is ruled by Pitch Black and Emily who is working with him to find and defeat the Guardians. The city’s design is inspired by Knowhere from GOTG, Silco’s Nation of Zauhn (I believe I’m spelling that right), Pitch’s underground lair and the Coraline house location! You will see MAGIC!!

Finally, Score and how it will be written!

The score is complete! As you may know, I use specific music scores and songs that create a rhythm/plot line so when one goes to listen, they have an understanding of what will happen! Well, I have completed the score! If you wish to listen, here’s the link!

Now, how will I write this story???

This might have been the hardest decision! See, I was debating on a fanfiction or a script that will be posted on Wattpad when I get time to finish my other works! I was really struggling with the idea! I asked my dad who actually works in the film industry! Then, I though, “Hmm. If I wrote a fanfiction, it might just be treated as a silly fanfiction. I want it to feel genuine.” So, I decided on a script. Besides the fact that I write fun scripts for my class and have knowledge about films, I though I could structure things out! It would be easier!

What If Jinx and Local Cuisine (LC) Were in Cahoots?

A writer for Arcane confirmed that Jinx does have friends that will be revealed next season, and I realized LC might actually fit the bill as one of them.

First, I should explain what kinds of traits make people gravitate towards Jinx.

From the few scenes we see of LC, he actually demonstrates the kind of traits that would make him compatible for Jinx's circle. People in Zaun, from regular chempunks to Inx members admire (and even champions like Sylas) Jinx because she satisfies/inspires their desire for revenge against their oppressors in Piltover. These are people that accept the necessity of violence and choose to go further by reveling in it as a source of catharsis.

What does this have to do with LC? Well the first time we meet LC is at the brothel where he was seen wearing the Wolf's mask. The Wolf is a part of a twin personification of death in Runeterra, known as the Kindred. The Lamb represents quick and painless death and wears a wolf mask, while the Wolf wears a white lamb mask and represents violent and painful death. The Wolf associated with punishment because when you refuse the Lamb's "gift" by resisting death the Wolf will relentlessly hunt down the fying to tear them apart to make them submit.

LC's association with the Wolf, related to violent death, has fueled speculation on his purpose going into season 2. Even if you don't subscribe to the theory that he's related to the princess beheaded by Ambessa and he's on a revenge quest, the show chose to depict him as an entity kills with a violent passion.

If the theory's true why wouldn't LC want to see Piltover burn as much as the Medardas if the theory's true? The princess theory offers solid motivation for why he wouldn't just be targeting the Medardas, but Piltover too. While Noxus is the warmongering expansionist empire that killed the princess, Piltover is the nation that facilitates its survival as vital trading partner to the empire. The advent of the hexgates has likely only improved the efficiency of Noxian warband supply lines. People like the Medardas invest in Piltover to keep themselves wealthy and on top, hell the practically run it now.

A righteous thirst for revenge and no compunction with violence against Piltover makes Jinx and LC potentially birds of a feather. If that's true then LC could theoretically fulfill a critical component for Jinx's operation, information.

For Jinx to pull of even half her exploits she needs an intel source, and LC is the most obvious connection. LC is the only character from Zaun that can regularly move between the two cities on legitimate business to meet his high profile clients like Ambessa without drawing attention. If most of his Piltovan clients act like Ambessa, then they probably talk about sensitive topics at and around him all the time, like the one between Ambessa and Jayce that led to the refinery raid. LC is probably the best source of informal knowledge on ongoing developments in Piltover's highest circles of society.

There's no way Jinx could pull of the heist without prior inside knowledge. The shipment raid and the heist all happened on the same day, Progress Day, within a handful of hours. Jinx would have had to know that there was a hexgem to steal in the first place, because that was a guarded secret. Even the first time she robbed a home in Piltover required an outside party, Ekko, to case the joint for her. Instead of robbing a nice trinket from a great house for Silco as an apology, which she was entirely capable of, instead she KNEW to target the hextech workshop. Jinx knew where the guards would be posted and what abandoned building to set on fire and rig with explosives. Almost like she already had intel on the hexgem and decided to strike when it was convienent.

I'd also like to include the fact that even in the concept art for Jinx's hideout we see Jinx in the zone on her work bench while a mysterious figure comfortably leans into her space.

While the figure has few discernible features that matches with most of Zaun's cast in the show and the concept art, there is one determinable feature. The figure has a sleeve with a red and gold stripe pattern similar to the one LC wears at the brothel.

The mysterious figure also lounges on the rail in a similar fashion to how we the audience were first properly introduced to LC.

Personally, I think it makes sense for Jinx to make friends with figure like LC because not only do the have similar goals, Silco would likely approve of it too. Silco doesn't like Vi or Ekko because they threaten his relationship with Jinx, someone like LC, who doesn't work for him, but is still under his purview won't do that.

And honestly, LC gives the same vibes as Chadd, a violent, organized, and prominent member of the Inx (Jinx followers), just with less hero worship.

Sidenote: Wouldn't it be hilarious if it were the case that the only reason Jimx knew how to break into the Kiramman's home is because LC told her about it. You can bet this dude went on jobs as an escort to atleast one Councilor's party in their home.

Have you guys seen the Unforgivable on Netflix? It’s not bad. I mean it’s not great but for a Netflix movie it’s not bad. I only watched it cuz I love Viola Davis (and the guy that plays Kingpin in Hawkeye). The story really gave me Arcane vibes and I’ve been obsessing on an Arcane AU where everything is almost the same except there’s a bigger age gap between Powder and Vi.

In the show, I HC that Vi is 12 and Powder is about 5 during the opening bridge scene and 16/9 during the rest of Act 1 respectively. That’s just my own HC (I’m sure most of you put Powder at around 10/11 or so but I’m sticking with 9 to make Mylo’s line to Vi line up—‘twice the person at half her age’).

I believe the time skip is about 7yrs so that would put Vi at 23ish and Powder (Jinx) at 16. So in the show, I HC there’s about a 7yr age gap between the girls.

In this AU I’ve been obsessing over, Vi is about 11yrs older than Powder.

In my AU Vi is 12 and Powder is an infant during the opening bridge scene. If we assume there’s a small timeskip of about 4yrs, that would put Vi at 16 and Powder at about 5 (the age she is during the bridge scene in the show).

So we’d get this Vi:

If that makes sense. Just having Powder be around 5yrs old during the accident instead of about 10 or so is the main idea. The age gap between the girls would be about 11yrs instead of about 6/7.

The age gap is not only a reference/inspired by The Unforgivable movie, but also based on my own personal life. For context I am 13yrs older than my fraternal (boy/girl) twin siblings. Technically they’re my half-siblings but I’ve never called them that. I’ve never seen in animation siblings with a huge age gap (w/o siblings in the middle—the only one I can think of is Camillo and Antonio from Encanto who are about 10yrs apart) so this Arcane AU would be my take on what happens in the show.

Incorporating Live Action and Animation in Production Planning:

As a solo creator, the coordination of live-action footage with animation in "Echoes of the Abyss" is both a logistical challenge and a creative opportunity.

I've watched ountless hours of videos now on how animators use pictures and live footage for inspiration in their drawings and how many have incorporated animations over live action footage. I acquired a great deal of this knowledge from Howard Weinhurst's channel again. Although in my story, mainly the live action narrative will be juxtaposed with the animated sequences, I still want to achieve a cohesive look and incorporate some typographical effects and 2D vfx in the live action footage as well. A great deal of inspiration for giving a visual to the "negative voices" in a person's head, came from none other the Netflix series : Arcane. In which one of the lead characters Jinx is dealing with this notion of fighting one's own demons and continuously sees or hears those disfigured demons in the form of scribbled artifacts around her.

Although I have'nt started filming anything yet, I practiced some of these vfx techniques on some old footage I had of a commercial, just to test the tracking method in After Effects and what sort of brushes to use in Photoshop to create such sketchy visuals.

As for recording the live action footage, Ive been watching a lot of videos which have multiple warpping effects and transitions, which I think will be a suitable template for my story, which shows the lead character moving in and out of a fantastical setting. The captain of the ‘royal’ guard huffed as she made her way towards Jay’s office, holding her side as it slowly bled out. “we lost her” Kuvira huffed out, nearly collapsing as she leaned on the heavy metal door, staring at the dark leather chair of the commander. her eyes widened as it turned, a much smaller girl in Jay’s place; ocean blue eyes clouding with blood-red “lost who?” the girl asked, pointing a clipboard at Kuvira.

Kuvira felt a rush of adrenaline and attempted to jump the girl who had been a thorn in her side for months now, only to be stopped by a tripwire. The girl put on a mechanical gas mask that easily latched around her jaw, and the room filled with green smoke ‘sleeping gas’ Kuvira panicked, holding out her hand towards the girl as she stumbled, only to hit her head on the desk as the girl mockingly waved her fingers at Kuvira. out like a light.

she awoke to the feeling of spinning and opened her eyes to see herself now strapped to jay’s chair and well, spinning. she soon stopped by a boot and was turned to face the girl, who smiled at her, her red eyes gleaming under the fluorescent light of the office. she sighed, tilting her head as she reached out towards Kuvira, who flinched heavily as the girl’s hand brushed her cheek “I feel like, you and I got off on the wrong arm~”

Kuvira glared, shrugging her left arm that had been replaced by a mechanical one after the girl in front of her blew it off upon her explosive introduction. “maybe we should try the other~!?” the girl gleefully suggested, taking the large dagger from Kuvira’s shoulder sheath and dragging the blade from her left shoulder to the right, digging into the armored skin. Kuvira let out a chuckle, and smirked “no need” she said in a low tone, carefully watching as the girl pulled back the blade “I think you already know who we lost.”

the girl tilted her head, her eyes darting off as if someone had spoken to her, but no one but Kuvira had said a word. “it's your aunt, CJ” the girl's eyes widened, flickering between blue and red. “she’s looking for you” then the girl glared; stabbing the dagger beside Kuvira’s head. “you’re lying!” she snapped, dragging the blade down, the edge cutting into Kuvira’s exposed neck. ‘she shouldn't know I exist’ the girl thought to herself, brushing away the voices that told her it was a trap, she knew that. this woman was just trying to make her mess up.

“you’re mother’s been looking for you as well” at this, all doubt left the girl's mind, Kuvira thought she was getting into it, but with this one sentence, she had failed to do so. “Harriet is missing her dear daughter, who left her all alone in neverland. leaves quite a message, don't it?” Kuvira cooed, smirking as the girl's head dropped, her shoulders jumping in a hitching breath. got her, Kuvira thought, then she grunted as she was shoved back and sneezed on as the girl did so, laughing as Kuvira hit the wall.

“ten outta ten toots~!” the girl sang, her eyes gleaming red once again. she leaped off the desk, rubbing her hands together before grabbing the back of the chair and getting into Kuvira’s face again “and I'll give you all a message to think about~ oh, and Harriet's not my mom” Kuvira’s eyes widened, but-Harriet was the only Hook old enough to realistically have a kid, CJ was still a minor when this girl could’ve been born, so who-. Kuvira grunted as she was spun again, something being sprayed in her face as the world dissolved into darkness once again.

Mal stared in horror as her captain was hung from the pillar within the main square of Auradon city, still alive but every bit of her had been defiled with gaudy punk like graffiti and ‘guess again’ written all over the walls of the buildings surrounding the pillar. Mal screamed, closing her eyes and stomping her foot as her magic forcefully released Kuvira from her bindings and dropped her to the floor “FIND WHOEVER THIS PUNK IS, AND BRING HER TO ME, I want to kill her myself” Mal growled out, leaving behind a concerned Jay and some weary guards; knowing only Jay would survive an encounter with the red-eyed demon they come to know as ‘Jinx’.

Because every encounter with her, ended with heavily bad luck on their end. Jay sighed, rubbing his eyes “guess again” he muttered, glancing around at the crude artwork of the perp. What could that mean…they had thought Jinx was the daughter of Harriet, could they be trying to say ‘guess again?’ to that aspect? Possibly.

Jay looked to Kuvria, who was being resuscitated with some droplets of condensed enchanted lake water, which had been turned into a powerful enhancement drug soon after Mal’s take over. He sighed, walking over to his captain, kneeling in front of her and tilting her head “Harriet’s not her mother” Kuvira gasped out, and Jay leaned back in surprise, tilting his head in severe confusion as he began to speak “but-she’s the only Hook here to be able to-“ Jay paused, well, not really but-Mal had returned Rose to her world just after she returned to Auradon, so-unless Rose had found a way back-Jinx couldn’t be Harry’s kid.

It was impossible, all of them, Harry, Rose, Uma, Gil, and Arwen, were in Rose’s world, and she didn’t have magic there. Unless… Jay’s mind had cleared for a moment, then he shook his head, no-impossible. Mal wouldn’t do that, she’d never. She had chosen good. They were doing everything for the good of Auradon and the isle. He sighed, helping Kuvira up and turning on his heel. “maybe Hook had another kid?” Jay guessed, rubbing his chin as his guard followed close behind. They glanced at each other and shrugged, Kuvira glaring at her arm and attempting to wipe off the neon scribble Jinx had put on it.

 ye, some more Arella for yall. and yes, Mal and co. think her mom is Harriet since well, no one knows Rose survived the attempted murder, or that she was pregnant at the time of it. so-logically, they think Harriet is the mom, as she's a good two-three years older than Harry and well, the only one old enough to be a mom, CJ was still pretty young by the time of the take over 15 and a half years ago. so yeah...Harriet.

and Arella’s code name is ‘Jinx’ and yes this is a direct link/reference to her inspo character, Jinx. hey if it fits, it fits. because Arella knows if anyone other than her family knew her name, they would sus out her true identity and sus out her mother. 

oh and a lil extra somethin’ Harriet and CJ are apart of the resistance, they put up a front in front of Mal, and Mal has a hunch but she's also lowkey scared of them due to the blood-god curse, which the girls had nearly mastered control of it. so yeah, hook girls are good but act like they’re on Mal’s side, and they heard of ‘jinx’ and have a heavy hunch of who she is and CJ is currently trying to find her and get some answers, like is their ‘sister’ alive and do they have a niece?
