she moves closer to you, “so you were lying about living alone?”

“payback to you teasing me,” you answer, your throat feeling oddly dry. jimin laughs heartily, “how could i not tease when your reactions are so cute?”

the camera pans to you two sitting down, the director asks, “so will we see you holding hands more often?”

“yes, definitely!” jimin answers, beaming. you splutter indignantly while hiding your red face in your hair.

she turns to you, “i said we would hold hands more, right?”

ACTS OF SERVICE: Chenle

I dont think Chenle is going to be very vocal about his feelings for you but instead he'll show it in little acts of service. You craved some fruits once in your relationship? Now your house is always stocked up with your favourite fruits.

You're too tired from work? He'll be at your house even before you reach and brings your favourite takeout so you can eat with him and go to sleep.

If you're arguing he won't apologise but would still do small things to show he cares. If he's drinking water and you're next to him, he'd not look your way and hand you the bottle so you can drink too. We all knew Chenle would be here. I've written more about Gift Giving on my 'NCT Dream as bfs who give their gf princess treatment fic' (hehe promo)

I'll say it again tho. He's the type to make you kiss all over his face before handing you his card and telling you to go all out.

He'd spoil you with expensive gifts even if you tell him not too.

Everyone has a hyperfixation, whether you hoard electronics, plushies, stickers, toys, stationery or whatever- hes supportive, buys you any new product in the market he thinks you'll find cool. Also the type to secretly keep track of your amazon wishlist, to buy you the things you like.

Yangyang will be more on the handmade gifts or small gifts type. Like things that aren't fancy but significant.

Like earrings/rings/jewellery you eyed in the mall when you were walking together. Guess what he's giving you on your anniversary.

A book your friend recommended to you which you asked to borrow when theyre done, he'll get it for you. Will also read your annotations and smile to himself, glad he gets to read the books that have a hint of you in it.

Another one to support your hyperfixations. He finds them cute.

PHYSICAL TOUCH: Yangyang, Chenle?

I have a feeling Yangyang is the clingy annoying types. Like y'all hang out together a lot in silence but after a while he'll get bored and decide to annoy you. Especially if you're the type to like your personal space, guess what- he also likes your personal space, he'll be all up in it.

Will sit on you, bite your cheek randomly, lick you for no reason (ew), tug your hair to annoy you, tickle you etc. His way of showing you love

Chenle at first will be a bit distant but slowly and gradually as he gets more comfortable he's going to get so clingy. But he'll be moody about it. He always wants to share a blanket, he'd share a pillow with you if you'd let him but as soon as you start to wake him up or try to pull the blanket to yourself at night when he steals it HE'LL GLARE AT YOU SO BAD. He's scary. The next morning apologises for being mean if you're sulking about it. Allows you to get a separate blanket for yourself so he doesnt repeat this. (He can't control it he was sleepy :/ )

QUALITY TIME: YANGYANG, Chenle

They both love to spend time with you. They find it very intimate when you are comfortable with eachother enough to sit in silence without feeling the need to talk. They LOVE when you're alone together spending time and you can tell what the other wants by their eyes alone. I'll elaborate;

If you're having a fight with your friend on text and you sigh and keep your phone down, they'll already leave everything they have and open their arms to you so you can bury your face in their chest and just relax. They'll hold you and stroke your hair. Only when you look up and smile at them softly they'll let you go and then ask you to talk about it. Cute.

WORDS OF AFFIRMATION: I'M SORRY NONE. a little Yangyang tho once hes comfortable with you. He'll say constant i love yous, tell you you're pretty, stuff like that. I cant see them saying much cheesy stuff so I'll keep this short.

DigiThoughts: Mju Mini/Stylus Verve

I've been shooting with a cam that sort of has some cult status in digicam community for a bit, here are my thoughts.

0. The camera

This camera is the digital cousin of Olympus Mju point and shoot analogue cameras the prices of which exploded after analogue photography youtube evangelized it. This one is in a very Y2K friendly alien shape and is ripe with potential to make tiktok go crazy at some point due to its physical, and not just photographic, aesthetics factor. In the digicam discord I was told that this is a camera that people love due to its form factor (cult status, barring its own emoji in the server) but also the pictures it can produce. I got it as a, stylish, replacement for a Canon Ixus 40 I was taking photos with before with the hope that it can be a replacement capable of good all around photos.

It took me a bit to adapt to the camera, but I think im in a stage where I feel comfortable with it now!

1. Shaky

My first impressions were that every picture I take is quite... blurry.

Shooting mostly in the evenings and just starting with using AUTO everything the camera tried to compensate for the lack of light with long exposure times. The previous Ixus I had handled automatic shooting quite well but decided to dig a bit into the shooting settings.

2. ISO + Ev to rescue

ISO 400

EV: -0.5 or lower

Smacking ISO up high helps a lot already, adds some beautiful noise to the picture and made it lighter. The EV definitely needs to be hit into negative if shooting in lowlight otherwise the camera leaves it's shutter open for too long and you end with blurry pictures. Maybe a tripod could be interesting to use with it.

Anyhow, this lead me to nicer, noiser photos at a day trip to Rijeka with friends. Importantly tho, I felt like I needed to do some post corrections to "pull out" the colours id like. It's something I'd like to avoid, not necessarily because its bad - it's completely valid - but I work so much with a computer in my day-to-day that I'd rather not make my photography hobby depend on it too.

3. Cuisine Preset

A few weeks later I had the chance to visit my good friend Luka in Italy and this is where I feel like I hit the stride with this camera. With the quest to reduce the amount of editing work I tried out the "modes" the camera offers for shooting, like "Night Time", "Nature"... I don't know what exactly these modes change as its not clear, but I believe they act sort of like a colour filter as they don't seem to override the ISO/Ev (which seems odd for some modes like Night Time).

I found that for the warm, noisy photo style that feels very fuzzy using the Cuisine preset alongside the high ISO made for fantastic results. I guess it fit cause everyone I was shooting was a snack hehe.

Rambling on pricing

Last thing I'd like to note is, I love how gimmickry this camera feels in the hand. It has such a weird shape. However, I think the regular price of this thing, 100€ on Ebay, is outside of what is reasonable. I got incredibly lucky and found an almost pristine one on an Austrian second hand site for 50 with shipping to Slovenia. If your goal is to shoot nice photos, i don't think this is worth it.

What I want to say is that you can take photos of this style on cameras way cheaper as well. I also believe that the digicam spirit is to pickup something cheap and make it work. Another part of the digicam spirit, to me, is finding weirdly shaped things. In an era of glass slabs seeing some weird angular designs like this is exciting and harkens to a wild west of electronics design and this one is definitely in that category and it feels like this is being abused by sellers a bit. I don't know man, scarcity and collections are a weird thing.

hiii bun ! i'm so glad you like so many of my favorite songs hehe TASTE ... and yes, they definitely have less releases than one might think for an almost 3 year old group, but i do think a cb is on the way. as yg usual their artists don't have as many comebacks per year as other companies, and when i first got into trsr this was REALLY hard for me (and i literally had to wait an entire year for my first live comeback, bc i got into them right after my treasure ... 🥲). but now honestly as much as i miss them and am always eager for new music, i appreciate that they spend a lot of time making sure that whatever they're putting out is really polished and don't try to oversaturate an already oversaturated market. and they've been on tour for most of this year so i'm really glad they are getting to see teumes, traveling, and having fun performing; they mentioned that they are working on a cb so i'm quietly hoping they are getting ready to serve us the summer bop of the century !! and they have been giving us more content on their youtube channel too which is a nice change from like. the nothing we were getting for a little while there KJNDGJHB

as for recs, i'm not really sure of any truly dedicated, active treasure blogs anymore aside from @teumesource -- i run the blog, in case you don't want to follow right away to protect your identity -- but i reblog all visual content there, so you can find some creators to follow through it ! most of the ccs i know who create for treasure still (esp around cb season) are multi like me, shoutout to my besties @leewonseo @dongkwan @hoshranghaes @miyawaki for helping me hold it down lol ++ i also always recommend following adri @kimteume for updates from the boys and good vibes !

“fuck! goddammit,” denki grumbled, shaking out his wrist as he had just failed the six star version of the intro of blend-s on osu. he had gotten rather addicted to the circle clicking game. this further resulted in denki staying up late on school nights, despite kirishima’s warnings of him potentially falling asleep in class the next day. it was fine, he could always borrow notes from you or jirou anyways!

as he went to restart the map again, a soft knock came at the door to his dorm room. spinning off his computer room chair, he prepared himself to be lectured by aizawa for the fifth time this week about breaking curfew. “aizawa-sensei, i know that i’ve been loud lately but i swear this time it won’t happen- y/n?” he stopped mid-sentence as he saw you standing on the other side of the door. “what are you doing up so late?”

you shook your head, immediately hugging his torso instead. you were clearly a bit distraught about something, but denki wasn’t a mind reader. he figured that from the way you were clinging onto him, it must have been a bad dream of some kind. “hey, hey, easy there! nearly knocked me over, huh,” denki laughed lightly, pressing a soft kiss to the side of your head before closing the door behind you. you clung onto him, face buried in the crook of his neck. it made a small blush dust across his cheeks, a warm feeling spreading through his arms as he held you close. “i hope i’m not bothering you,” you mumbled, to which denki hummed. “you never bother me, babe. it’s okay, i couldn’t really sleep anyways.”

the two of you stayed like that for a long while, denki swaying the two of you back and forth. you could feel gentle lips peppering the crown of your head with kisses. as your heart rate slowed, denki piped up. “wanna stay here for the night? my bed’s missing out on some action! and by some action, i mean sleep. i really can’t sleep.”

you snorted at his words, your eyes flicking up to his goofy yet endearing smile, his eyes bright yet a bit tired from late night gaming. he poked his tongue out at you, making you roll your eyes with a tiny smile of your own gracing your features.

“how could i say no to that?”

you smell like lavender in the morning too bc he puts it in his pillow to help him sleep, thank you

shinsou lay awake in bed, eyes trained on the ceiling as he waited for himself to fall asleep. it was no secret that he barely got any rest, so it was simply easier to just sit and wait until his body exhausted itself to the point where he simply fell asleep. staying as still as he could, he kept counting the amount of times he breathed in and out. it made him acutely aware of his surroundings. the crickets outside his room, the way the moonlight streamed through his blinds, the miscellaneous creaking sounds of the dorms. yeah, he definitely wasn’t sleeping tonight.

he didn’t flinch as the door to his room opened, blinking slowly as his eyes adjusted to the light spilling into his room along with a new figure. “y/n?” he asked, not bothering to sit up. “hey, are you up? sorry toshi, i couldn’t sleep,” you explained softly, allowing the door to close behind you as you tiptoed across his dorm room. his hair was sprawled across his pillow, deep violet locks hiding his hands situated behind his head comfortably. it showed off his arms that were built from training for when, not if, he ever got into the hero course.

a lazy smile crossed his lips at your words, his heartstrings being played by you so seamlessly. “it’s okay, i couldn’t sleep anyways,” he replied with a tilt of his head towards you. he moved over a bit in his bed as to give you space to lay down next to him. you crawled beneath his comforters, inhaling the scent of lavender as you did. apparently shinsou had said that the smell helped him fall asleep easier. strong arms wrapped around your waist, encasing you in a protective embrace as your head rested comfortably against his chest. the comforter was thrown over the two of you. you felt so much safer already.

his large hands were placed on your lower back, his thumbs drawing lazy circles on your skin as his breathing began to relax noticeably. hiding your smile, you cuddled closer to him. to this day, you had never seen shinsou fall asleep so quickly since that night.

izuku midoriya

izuku was pacing around his room, vocabulary words spinning about his mind as he counted them on his fingers. he was mumbling definitions to himself, going over all of them in his head before referencing his notebook to make sure nothing went wrong. amidst his ramblings, a knock at the door made him jump to attention. “come in?” he called out, watching intently as he saw you come into view. his face showed relief, grateful to know it wasn’t aizawa or kacchan complaining about his incessant pacing.

“would it be alright if i sleep here tonight? i’m worrying about my grades and stuff again,” you rubbed the back of your neck with a small smile, trying to play off your question as relaxed as you could. it wasn’t exactly a secret that you had a crush on the boy in front of you. he was kind and humble, wanting to help as many people as he could despite all the circumstances that had the world against him. it was admirable. even now, he looked so concerned from the clear lack of sleep you’ve been getting these past few days. “of course you can sleep here. ah, wait! i have to, ah,” he stumbled over his words as you looked to the bed to see not one, not even two, but four all might stuffed toys on his bed.

“oh.”

midoriya’s face erupted with crimson, shoving the plushies into his closet as he sputtered out various excuses as to why they were there in the first place. when he turned back to you, you were giggling. not at him, but because of the entire situation in general. “you’re adorable, izu,” you told him gently. a light feeling bloomed in his chest upon seeing the smile you held for him. you looked so undeniably beautiful to him, the way your hair was a bit messy and how you stood in your pyjamas. while others, including yourself, would find that you looked completely normal, midoriya loved seeing you be so casual, so comfortable around him.

“you’re sure i’m not interrupting you, though?”

midoriya returned your smile with his own, stepping forward to intertwined his scarred fingers with your delicate ones. “it’s okay,” he murmured softly, holding your hand as if you were the most precious thing in the world to him, “i couldn’t really sleep anyways.”

The Masked Singer Season 5 Episode 2 Recap: It’s Group B Time, let’s meet them! (Commentary & Guesses)

Hello my fellow Masked Singer fanatics! Welcome (or welcome back) to Ana’s Masked Singer recap, where I, Ana (nice to virtually meet you btw), recap every single episode of The Masked Singer. Here we are again with season 5, but this time another group, Group B, which consist of Black Swan 🖤🦢, Piglet 🐷, Chameleon 🦎, Grandpa Monster 👹 👴, and Phoenix 🦜.

So, let’s begin with the first eliminated contestant of Group B:

Commentary: Ok, so this wasn’t surprising whatsoever, she sang Tik Tok by Kesha and you can obviously tell that she isn’t a singer at all. Like idk how else to explain it to you guys, but I guess she was talk singing... kind of like Wendy/the lips last season... so it was kind of easy the moment she opened her mouth to start singing to recognize immediately who it was...

Having said that, she was revealed to be (as I knew, this one wasn’t hard)...

Caitlyn Jenner

Hehe I knew it! Again, like Wendy Williams aka the lips, this was way too obvious. She already walked around Hollywood Blvd with the Don’t Talk to me hoodie on so I knew she was going to be on the show but the min I saw Phoenix, the clues, and the moment she opened her mouth, I was so certain it was Caitlyn. No, I am not a big Kardashian/Jenner fan tbh but I used to watch the show way back when.... like in 2016? I am not sure, but I recognized her voice immediately.

Now onto my guesses for the remaining 4:

1. Black Swan 🦢🖤

Commentary: So she sang Barracuda by Heart and damn, she got a strong voice! It’s a really amazing voice, even though the song choice wasn’t my favorite, because it didn’t suit her voice completely and showcase her range, but she was badass (can I say that? Whatever, this is my show, I’ll say it, it’s not THAT bad of a word) tbh. In certain parts, she was like screaming a lot and I was like um maybe this isn’t her best song choice but her voice is amazing! She gives me Seahorse mixed with Flamingo vibes, I love her!

I think she is singer extraordinaire:

Reasoning/Clues: there are so many clues that match but her voice is the main thing that clicked for me that it was her, but let’s look at those clues so you can get the picture:

Wanted Poster with RV highlighted= she appeared in the movie RV with Robin Williams

She talks about being trapped and someone else’s prey and then getting out of it= she was trapped in her record label & there was controversy surrounding it and she had to sue her label for not releasing her music

A 5 on a watch= she toured with 5th harmony and has released 5 albums

Cluedledoo (Rooster) clue= she covered a monster= she covered one of T-Pain aka the Monster from season 1’s songs

2. Piglet 🐷

Commentary: He was my favorite of the night with his rendition of Speechless by Dan + Shay! You guys know if you have seen my recaps in season 3 (or even last week with Robopine) that I have a soft spot for a guy who has a super silky voice, like either boy band type or R&B smooth af kinda vibe (i.e. Fox in season 2, Turtle in season 3, Robopine in season 5).... or should I say any guy who can falsetto and Piglet is giving me those boy band smooth vibes, I love it so much! His voice is soooo familiar I am so sure about this one by the way.

My guess and I am so sure of this is:

Nick Lachey

Reasoning/Clues: This one I recognized immediately, the voice was really easy to figure out, but these clues also are pretty convincing (oh and he was on Ken’s show, I Can See Your Voice, so it’s not surprising that he would be on this show):

The clue package had a dating show vibe = reminiscent of Love is Blind, the Netflix dating show he hosts with his wife Vanessa

The world saw his heart break= he had a very public relationship with his ex-wife Jessica Simpson and they even had a reality show together called Newlyweds

Cluedle-doo clue: “knows how to stay cool even in the heat”= referring to his past aka his boy band 98 degrees (get it? Because that’s the heat and they are cool because they are a boy band... well played Masked Singer well played... I wanna meet whoever makes these clues because they are great with puns and they seem super clever)

3. Chameleon 🦎

Commentary: Chameleon surprised me I am not gonna lie. I thought he was going to be another athlete like Whatchamacallit last season or White Tiger from season 3 because he was so tall but nope he surprised me with his rendition of Ride with Me by Nelly. He seems like a legit rapper and I liked him a lot than I thought I would honestly so this guess isn’t totally out of left field.

Wiz Khalifa

Reasoning/Clues: so yeah, the voice and the height kinda gave it away to me (Wiz is 6 foot 4 inches and his body type matches the chameleon), but also yeah clues I have to give you guys some logic bombs instead of being like eh that voice and height BOOM WIZ KHALIFA... yeah no it doesn’t work like that, so here are the logic bombs hehe:

Dice with 2 and 3 on it= he did a song with Miley Cyrus called 23

007 clue= he has a song called (yes this is real, look it up) James Bong (omg I am trying not to laugh while typing this but whatttt?! Google really is a gem omg 😳😂) and he played James Bond in the music video

His love of technology & “put tech in technicolor”= apparently, the guy is a huge tech geek and has said it in a lot of interviews (wow humans are so complex and cool, I would have never thought that this man is a tech savvy guy... but the more you know I guess <P.S. I Googled half of these things... like idk this off the top of my head duh, I usually go by voice with my guesses and then I google the clues>)

4. Grandpa Monster

Commentary: He sang Mambo No. 5 and yeah it’s a basic choice for a song, but I liked it. He is not my favorite by any means and now that I listen to it again, I can only hear this person and I am not a fan of him like whatsoever (even tho I gotta acknowledge he has changed and I have *I KNOW... I HATE ME TOO* agreed with stuff he has said in his podcast un ironically.... yeah I am so sorry, I hate myself for saying this too... anyways let’s just get to the person I mean

I have a sneaking suspicion that it is (unfortunately):

Logan Paul

Reasoning/Clues: Yup, um... I really hope I am wrong but honestly ever since someone said it in the YouTube comments section of his performance, I can’t un hear it and I am shook honestly (at least it’s not his brother... I mean we can get worse, and he has respected the pandemic and not been a prick like his *cough* brother *cough*... just saying.. oh and if you don’t know what I am talking about or who this is, he’s a YouTuber who got into some um controversy because he filmed a dead body in 2018 so there’s that... oh and his brother has done a billion worse things than him, but you can Google that one if you are interested in finding out more because it’s too much for me to talk about and we are not even talking about Jake (that’s the brother))... Anyways, sorry, I ramble, but ugh the clues seem convincing and it irks me that it is because I am not a fan of neither of these guys and I don’t want them in the show but whatever I guess he’s the lesser of 2 evils:

He was a troublemaking fool as a youngster= yeah probably regarding that suicide forest video a couple of years ago (that ok, lemme give him credit, he has apologized for it and has kind of proven himself... yuck I hate saying that, I am NOT defending him I swear)

Acting out for all eyes on me= he used to be very well known for pranks on his channel back in the day (before the incident) and he did some stupid stuff for clout lemme tell ya (I never liked these guys, like ever, I thought they were weird.... not my demographic I guess, I wasn’t 12 nor a boy)

6 in Xs and Os like football plays = he did play football 🏈 in high school, he was so good that and actually attributes playing football for long term brain damage he has that makes him as the Wikipedia article says it (I am legit gonna quote what it says because I thought it was fascinating) “affects his ability to have empathy and a human connection with others.” (Mind you, he himself claimed this according to this article)

“Acting out”= he has acted in a few things before and starred in The Thinning

OH AND DID I MENTION HE IS MAKING 5 MILLION DOLLARS FROM THIS DEAL?! any no no productivity guilt is 10000 percent understandable! i get it a lot (yes, a lot bc yes-) and honestly, i’ve just learned to accept that it happened, but never dwell on it ever again. and if i do it again the next day? i pick myself up (it won’t be easy, but you got this!) and say that i’ll just do better tomorrow, and mean it. the reason why we procrastinate isn’t because we have poor time management skills, it’s because we’re subconsciously trying to avoid things that could cause us pain, so we choose to avoid it instead. but if you get rid of the thing that causes you the pain, or at least make it easier, then you’re more likely to get started. 

as someone who has adhd and procrastinates more than anything else, a huge huge tip would definitely be to start with something that you know you can’t fail. for instance, just start off with something as simple as pulling up that Google Doc, or opening up your assignment, or flipping to that page in your notebook! just do the bare minimum, and start off with that.

some other productivity tips that have seriously helped me are: 

1. listen to lofi music, and i MOST DEFINITELY recommend Avatar: The Last Airbender for that specific genre! that’s because i’m always hanging around in the fandom, but if i’m listening to something from it, it’s like i’m already subconsciously hanging around in the fandom while i’m doing the work. 

2. or listen to some haikyuu lofi music by Ambition lol-  

3. clean your fricken room, this took me 50 years to get-- clear room, clear mind!

4. Use the Pomodoro strategy! do 25 minutes of deep work, block all other sites, and then after take a five minute break. it’ll go 10x faster than it normally does if you don’t get started, and you can always find Study With Me videos on YouTube!

I agree with your bts rant! but the wya i end up concluding it is “don’t hate the player hate the game” Like it’s such an industry deep situation. Even a societal one like everything we do is for money. Capitalism is a disease of its own. I mean def there are things to critic about artists like when they do bundling but that’s bc you can sell without it. But marketing is sadly necessary bc of the wya to industry works and just inevitable. I hope they tone it down tho but hey big hit wants that💰

lol ya my rant isn’t directed at the boys but rather at big hit. but also for all that the company is, i have so much respect for their sales/marketing/advertising team. witnessing their growth from dope onwards was insane from a business perspective. they really knew how to use social media to their advantage, how to give their fans free content aka bangtantv ( lol altho free i can only guess the ad revenue on their youtube videos!! hint: it’s millions), gayo & run episodes, their vlives and all of that, and make fans stay and convert them into ‘loyal customers’. they leaned into the fact that the public was moving more towards celebs that they find genuine and relatable and away from those that were over the top. they figured out how to make them feel accessible, relatable, before much of the industry figured it out. also, they understood how english could help them gain a lot of traction (iirc PSY talked about this too). it is also why bts gained such a following internationally, even bigger than in korea before they really blew up in their own country. anyway bang pd identified a niche early EARLY on, put together a team (boys, producers, lyric writers, content makers, just everyone at the company) that could bring it to fruition and capitalized on it. and i know we all go hehe haha bang pd but people seriously do not understand the brain this man and his team has. luck is one thing, but the way they’ve grown is more than just luck.

although im not part of the demographic that is willing to spend on everything, they knew they had people that do; that will buy all the concert dvds, summer package, winter package, muster, movies, bon voyage, in the soop etc. etc. etc. i could be wrong but no one produces as much content as they do. big hit is literally a content factory. all the merch, tinytan, bt21, etc. etc. etc. they take consumerism to the next level. as an individual looking at how much the company achieves year after year and all the profit i can only guess they make... it’s just amazing to me. the fact that they made weverse was genius. they really said fuq u to naver, vlive and fancafe and said we know how much our content is worth. don’t know when but when weverse starts doing live videos and if bts ever fully migrates everything over, add ads (especially curated ads based on the user data), profits are going to go through the roof and into outer space. data is worth more than anything and the fact of the matter is, the moment you download an app, you are inadvertently selling your data to them for the ‘free’ content you get. so yes, they are very smart. though i think they will always have a vlive presence because you need your hand in every cookie jar. and vlive is a way to reach ‘newer’ fans while weverse is for once you’re already in the ecosystem. acquiring pledis & source music to grow that ecosystem was also pretty smart. i can’t say much about the games they have released but i assume it’s a good enough revenue stream, data-wise and also probably coins that people buy or wtv.

the one thing i really do not agree with is the ads and products bts endorse. some of the ads are soooo boring. it doesn’t make me feel like buying the product but i am sure there are a zillion fans that will buy anything with their face on it but i will continue my thoughts on their ad/brand endorsement in another ask ahahahah.

but tldr: big hit from a business and money-making standpoint: amazing and i bet many companies want to emulate. big hit from a fan stand-point: i am tired from being bombarded with messages to buy things (i know i am not being forced so don’t come for my neck lol)

Quarterly Goals October-December

I started setting quarterly goals a little over a year ago and now I’m way more productive than I ever was before! I have to hand it to @jennamoreci​ for introducing me to quarterly goals and this quarter I wanted to do something a bit different and share them! I actually wanted to share these on my YouTube channel but I don’t have the room in my schedule to post a video about my goals so i figured the next best thing would be a tumblr post. (Side note: if anyone wants to see a video version of this next quarter, drop a comment)

Before I share the goals that I set for myself this quarter let’s see how I did this past quarter. I do make quarterly goals for all aspects of my life so there was a total of 22 goals for me this quarter, but for the sake of time and since I’m sure post of you don’t give a shit about my other goals, I’m only going to list the writing/author platform ones. (But of my other goals I achieved 7/7 of them damn!) If in the future y’all wanna hear my other goals let me know! 

Okay I’m rambling so the goals! Let’s go! 

July-September Goals

1. Adjust my publishing/marketing plan as needed ✅ 

I added a bunch of marketing ideas/strategies and I’m super excited to be able to implement them in the future! 

2. Complete 3 tasks from my pre-publication plan ❌ 

I actually don’t really remember what tasks I meant, but looking back on the plan there’s no way I completed 3 tasks XD

3. Finish my second round of betas ✅ 

Thanks so much to all my amazing betas! If you want to beta read for me, keep an eye out! My third round will be happening fairly soon 👀.

4.  Implement beta reader feedback ❌ 

I wasn’t sure if I was going to mark this as complete or not because I have implemented a fair amount of beta feedback, but since I structured this editing round a lot different than I thought I was going to, this goal honestly wasn’t really applicable anymore. But since I haven’t officially made my way through all the criticism I received from my betas, I’m counting this as a fail.

5. Recruit betas for round 3 ❌ 

I debated to recruit my newsletter subs early in Septembers newsletter, but it felt a bit premature so this is a fail XD. Round 3 will be happening soon tho! (And newsletter subs will get first dibs of applications hehe)

6. Start my 3rd round of betas ❌ 

I think this is a given fail considering my last goal XD

7. Win campnanowrimo❌ 

I may make a whole post/video about this, but I don’t think I’ll be doing camp/nano anymore because July campnano really showed me how much it doesn’t work with my writing process XD

8. Implement CP feedback ❌ 

To be fair, I haven’t gotten feedback from one of my CP’s yet, so I literally couldn’t complete this one lol

9.  Post as scheduled on YouTube ✅ 

I think this may be the first quarter I’ve achieved this goal? Honestly I’m very proud of myself for achieving this one XD

10.  Prep videos early ✅ 

Preparing my content for YT early has by far been the best thing I’ve ever done to make sure that my content is consistent. If you’re not prepping your posts in advance for social media, I’d highly recommend for you to do so!

11. YT engagement goal ✅

I’m honestly not that surprised. This was a very ambitious goal tbh.

I wasn’t very active on twitter this quarter, so again this isn’t a huge surprise that it didn’t work out for me XD

I absolutely love making my newsletters! Make sure to subscribe if you haven’t already. My newsletters typically go out the last Tuesday of the month.

That means I achieved 14/22 goals! I still haven’t really decided what I consider as winning a quarter - I know most people consider achieving half their goals as a win, but I’m not sure where I fall yet. I guess I can say that I’ve made a lot of progress in all areas of my life this quarter despite this quarter being super hectic, so we’ll count it as a win for now LOL. 

I will say that for this next quarter I’ve made a point to be a lot more realistic with my goals since, as we’ve already covered, I was a wee bit ambitious with my goals for this last quarter XD

Now onto this quarters goals! Let’s see all the work I’ve got in store for myself LOL

October-December Goals
