So, let me get this straight. First, Vegeta lost to Thor. Then Trunks lost to Silver. And now the finale is Vegito vs Gogeta, meaning no matter who wins, Vegeta losses.

Bio: Luffa was raised by Space Pirates of the Hera clan after the destruction of her home planet & they raised her as a family member. Before they leave Luffa made a promise to be the strongest Pirate Warrior in the galaxy and bring peace to the entire universe.

The idea of making Luffa is from a Cartoon Hooligans video of Goku & Luffy Fusion (Goffu) vs Superman & Thor Fusion (SuperThor). After watching that, it gave me an idea for an OC. At first I made the twins Okara & Nakano, but I decided to give them a redesign to make a single OC.

A blast from the past...

Michael Steven "Myk" Friedman, also known as Toonsmyth Productions, was a youtube animator who did fun and silly fights. Vegeta Vs Mordecai and Rigby, Doofenshmirtz Vs Ash from Pokemon, even Adventure Time Vs My Little Pony. Sadly, he passed away in 2014 at the age of 45. So for fun, I figured I would go over the Second Season of Ultimate Cartoon Fighting where Goku faces everyone and with my own research and mostly others, determine if Goku can truly win.

His first opponent is the Hulk. Now you would think with Thor Vs Vegeta that Hulk would scale to him, right? Well, there are two problems with that: First, Thor has a lot more powers than the Hulk and those were definitely the thing that gave Thor the edge when Vegeta could get stronger via Ultra Ego. And more importantly, as seen with this video, Thor tends to beat the Hulk more often than lose. So Goku can definitely beat the Hulk.

Optimus Prime is Next. He should scale to Megatron and a popular opponent for him is Frieza, so he should likely compare. Though I don’t think Prime can beat Goku since Goku will always beat Frieza. Next is Finn Vs Jake. According to Vs wiki they max out at Large Planet Level. I’m pretty sure the majority of the cast of Dragon Ball can do that at this point and Goku is way stronger than that. So that’s 4 for 4. Good job Goku! 

Next up, Super Mario. The Vs Wiki has him at lowest Galaxy Level and highest Multiversal. Not sure how much I buy his scaling via Super Paper Mario but even including it Goku has the capability of destroying multiple Universes as a Super Saiyan God. And most of his abilities do not require additional power ups, so I can say Goku can beat Mario. Now Popeye will definitely be his first legit defeat. Death Battle may have put him at Star Level, but with how much he can literally destroy the fiction they’re on and survive disintegration, it's a matter of when for Popeye to overcome the Saiyan.

And now Superman. We had two Death Battles already with Goku losing both, but a lot of things have changed since then. Goku has become a lot more powerful, but DC keeps showing up ridonculous feats. And honestly, it wouldn’t surprise me if Superman can still beat Goku despite Goku now getting the multiple writers treatment. Also want to point out that most likely Hal Jordan, who was noping out after that fight, could most definitely beat Goku. And of course he can beat the Annoying Orange. Since that was an actual collaboration with the creator of the Annoying Orange, it counts.

Pikachu is next and he puts up more of a fight in the animation than the others. But can Goku beat the electric mouse of Ash Ketchum? According to the Vs wiki Pikachu has the potential to be High universal (somehow), he requires to be supercharged. So Goku can likely beat him or eat him. And I’m pretty sure Goku can beat the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, including the Rise stuff and those Dragon Forms. 

I’m going to skip a lot because there’s a ton of people who show up but don’t get an animated sequence like the others. So Sonic is next and I’m pretty sure he’s in the same boat as Mario. Naruto I’m pretty sure is also unable to beat Goku considering how often we’ve done calculations for him. And Inuyasha (I like to call him Inny) doesn't stand a chance against Goku. Pikachu comes back with Thor, Lum (an anime I actually know despite never seeing it) and I presume Nate Grey. Since I don’t know who he is, I’ll skip him

Thor definitely could beat Goku since we’ve seen him beat Vegeta and they’re both pretty comparable with each other. Ultra Instinct may help, but as of this writing Thor has access to all the Thor Force (Odin Force) and Goku doesn’t have the Ultra Ego “hit me makes me stronger” trick Vegeta has. Lum is apparently Star Level so she can’t win. And the final opponent is Skips from Regular Show. But in reality Goku from the Future. So by that logic, Future Goku should beat Past Goku right?

Well, he’s Future Goku alright… Future Goku of GT Goku. He isn’t the Goku from Super who shook the Multiverse, he’s a Goku who went higher than Super Saiyan 4. So he ain’t on the good stuff like God Ki Goku can produce. So Skips, either Regular Show or Future GT Goku, can not beat Goku. And of course Galactus can beat Goku. He could turn Goku into an inanimate object before he could do anything.

And that’s a score of 16 Wins and 4 Loses (if you count Hal Jordan). Pretty good.

The thing “Superman vs” match-ups don’t get is that it isn’t about who can bench press more, it’s about the story you tell.

Superman vs Omni-Man would be a case of “first loss, second win” because of the themes both embody. Because Omni-Man is obsessed with the idea of strength overcoming everything, he’d probably get an early shot in based on experience, supposedly “proving” his point right. Then Clark would come back swinging and beat him based on intelligence and conviction and the values his human parents taught him, as a final “screw you” to his dismissal of humans, before making him realize where he went wrong.

Superman vs Homelander wouldn’t even be a contest. Homelander is a just another brute who thinks he can do anything just because he’s strong, hence Superman would give him a little object lesson on what happens when someone is stronger than him. Hell, considering the parody aspect of the character, Superman might parody him right back by beating him down with all the powers he pulled out of his ass back in the Silver Age. Imagine Homelander getting beat up by multiple tiny Supermans that he just shot out of his hands or Superman super-weaving his clothing together. It’d be hilarious.

Superman vs Thor is classic “hero misunderstanding” where they get to show off their cool powers, fight to a draw, and then realize that Loki and Lex Luthor teamed up for evil purposes and go stop them together. They end the story with “Clark Kent” getting to interview Thor at the tower while they experiment to see what Asgardian liquor actually gets Clark drunk.

Superman vs Goku is a fist bump that causes a gale force wind. Goku’s all for finding an empty planet to have a formal match on, but Superman has stuff to do, so he politely turns him down. (Vegeta tried it too, threatening Metropolis to coerce him into fighting. He lost. Badly)

With Discord Vs Bill getting a spotlight in the Death Battle Poll, let’s look back at previous fights..

Rainbow Dash Vs Starscream

For the time, I think it was pretty good. The banter between the two was great and for one of Ben’s earlier works it is well done. The research could have been better but that’s still in the early days of Ponies and they had weeks to do the research and animation on their own. Would the results be different if we did this now? I’m not sure. Starscream ain’t no Optimus Prime, but his match did show how powerful the Transformers could be if you look into them more. And sadly my knowledge of Starscream is limited to make the assumption one way or another. Meanwhile Rainbow Dash got stronger and faster. While others I feel put them a little too highly, it honestly wouldn’t surprise me if Rainbow Dash still beats Starscream. He’s a person that literally screams “please beat me up”.

Pinkie Pie Vs Deadpool

This is obviously a joke fight. It was always meant to be and I think it was pretty fun. Especially when they met the actual people behind the show. And seeing them visit other Death Battles was fun as well. Was it a good season finale, probably not but that was the way the dice was rolled. But if it didn’t end in a draw, who would really win this fight? As seen with Deadpool Vs the Mask, Deadpool has no real counter to Cartoon Shenanigans. But luckily for him Pinkie’s isn’t as extreme as the Mask. And if Deadpool has the Continuity Gem, he could defeat Pinkie Pie. We’ve seen numerous examples of Pinkie Pie changing because of an outside influence. So the Continuity Gem could give us Tribal Pinkie Pie or Sombra War Pinkie Pie or Marble Pie Pinkie Pie. But that is non-standard for him so I could see Pinkie Pie 

Twilight Sparkle Vs Raven

Sadly, I think this one got more hate than it should now. Back then, I was hearing stories about Death Battle Fans looking to the Pony Fandom for Salt when they were looking at the one person who believed Raven couldn't beat Twilight. Now I see people saying that Twilight was lowballed (still losing to Raven) and some people not wanting Death Battle to do ponies again. To the point that someone was making a petition to stop Bill Vs Discord from happening (there’s more to that, but won’t bring it up beyond this). The thing is that the match was still under the old style of Research. Everyone gave their inputs and opinions. While I don’t think Twilight is as powerful as people think she is, I think if she was done today she would be more buffed up compared to then. 

Look at Thor’s evolution from the three different generations. Thor Vs Raiden was still with just the internal team. Thor Vs Wonder Woman was when the research team was free to research any match and not research it when they wanted. And Thor Vs Vegeta showed how a dedicated Researcher to a character will boost them more. Still won’t beat Raven, as she was likely also not as researched as she could be now, but still would probably satisfy people who are Pony Fans and in the Vs Community.

Discord Vs Bill Cipher

Now that it has been revealed, I won’t saw anything since this hasn’t even started yet. But I do hope that whatever happens, everyone will be cool about it.

Honestly I think with Thor vs vegeta they barely fought bc they couldn’t get matching models. Which in that case why not use sprites but I digress

Keep in mind that DBX is sorta a testing grounds of sorts. It’s there to test new animators, and their mettle. While I can respect that, Thor vs. Vegeta was lacking, and felt rushed and lackluster in comparison to Mulan vs. Lucina.
