I love that you did the meme with Tony Stark and rise Donatello. Those two are in my top ten dynamics that don't exist. They really need a TV show together.

Thank you! I had to pair my last hyperfixation with my current one. Before I was consuming turtle content, marvel and specifically Tony Stark was my roman empire. It's kind of a mystery to me that there isn't that much Tony and Donnie fanart or fanfics. Maybe the rise fandom just doesn't overlap with the MCU? I would give ANYTHING for avengers 2012 era/rise content. But alas, it feels like one of those things that I gotta do myself if I want to see it.

Uggh there's so much potential and if I wasn't working on five different things, I'd explore it more.

Blitz: Hard guro + intense porn and hentai + lots of political arguments. Gets banned a lot and keeps coming back. Hated among people he even agrees with. Super edgy and aggressive on purpose. Occasional fandom blogger.

Sydel: Fanfiction writer, specifically of the 'x reader' variety. Has certain fandoms she generally sticks to and most of the time her writing doesn't get too intense, but occasionally comes out of left field with something quite weird. Well respected among others and has a professional attitude.

Apollo: Art blogger. Posts very rarely, doesn't use tags and rarely responds to things. She's just really afraid of getting death threats despite her art being generally unproblematic. Gets tons of notes.

Artimes: Cosplay blogger, mostly. Tons of pictures of her motorcycle and random photos of places she comes across in her drives. Link to her PayPal in her bio. Her cosplays are EXTREMELY high quality.

Maria: Leftist, scenecore and fandom blogger. Draws a lot of fanart for dark fandoms and has an atrocious DNI on every art post. Makes a lot of posts about different concoctions and potions she makes. Will hit you out of nowhere with a bunch of photos of her gun collection.

Natalie: Claims to be an art blog, hasn't posted art in forever. Mostly reblogging cute anime panels and photos of animals. Reblogs so much cutesy stuff but also is so very aggressive and uses an unnecessary amount of cusswords.

Amber: Conspiracy blogger. A lot of them are deranged and completely insane, some of them are believable. Completely sincere and genuine. Not even mean just batshit insane.

Ty: Meme reposter, hates Tumblr. Enough said.

Charlie: A little bit of everything. Mostly runs on a queue. Unless she's drunk then she's doing discourse and venting hardcore.

CC: Aesthetic blogger. Dark acedemia and cottagecore and whatever other bullshit aesthetics these types like. People think she's a tradwife, but she doesn't like the political connotations of that.

Nova: Blocked by most people and keeps getting banned for breaking so many rules. Similar to Blitz except she goes out of her way to doxx and harrass people at random.

I’m back!

So, I kinda quit using this blog a while back. There are some notes about it in my old pinned post and probably on my fanfics, lol, but basically, I felt overwhelmed by fandom and everything going on irl and I crashed. I just withdrew from like, everything. I still logged in on Tumblr but I just liked things to later view them with the boyfriend or laugh at them again myself.

Honestly, it’s not that fun, just doing that, and not really that fair to people who put effort into their posts like art, music, writing, etc., or even just people who are very passionate about a subject and may want it to reach others that are the same. Because I know I’m like that!

But anyway, this is going to be my new pinned post. So! (More under the cut, please keep reading!)

About Me

You can call me Prowess, I’m a FtM transmasc (he/him please)! I use this space to elevate my personal works, such as art or writing, while also occasionally posting about topics I am passionate about. I realized I was trans in 2020 at the age of 19 years old, in the midst of a pandemic and college fallout, so as you can imagine, I’m still riding the rollercoaster of emotions that come with that. I’m also ADHD... so expect some posts about those sort of things.

But that is hardly the focus! I am big on art and writing. While I am mostly obsessed with Pokemon, I am a lover of stories, and so generally, I love most fiction, even the really bad stuff. Along with my Pokemon stuff, you can expect posts involving ARK: Survival Evolved, The Tales of Miraculous Ladybug & Cat Noir, animated movies (Luca, Toy Story, Spirit - you name it, I probably love it), and plenty of other stuff.

While I have too many older posts to go through and try to sort out the unclean tags, going forward, I am going to use these sort of tags: subject (whatever the post is about, for example, Pokemon), characters depicted, media (whether it’s art, writing, animation, or a mix), and any warnings that may need to go with it (for example, cussing when stronger language is involved, or racism if racism is getting discussed, etc). Memes or one-off posts will likely be tagged with simply “memes.” While this is pretty true for most any blog, this is so you know if you need to block certain tags! For example, if you hate Miraculous Ladybug, you’d just blacklist ‘Miraculous.’

I will also reblog a lot of posts asking for help or boosting awareness. I will try not to inundate the blog with these, but as I will likely have to make a post asking for help at some point myself due to unfortunate irl circumstances, I want to pay it forward in advance. These will be tagged with simply “help needed!”

Below are some projects I’m working on + what you can expect from this blog.

Pokemon Retold

By far, my biggest project to date, is Pokemon Retold.

This is an expansive written anthology of all the pokemon mainline games as far as generation 8. Red, Heart of Gold, Omega Ruby, Platinum, Black, Black 2, Y, Ultra Sun, and Sword are all intended to get rewritten and posted on both my FanFiction.Net and Archive of Our Own accounts. I may also post some chapters here, but I admit Tumblr makes that difficult sometimes.

These stories are very personal to me, as I started writing them when I was struggling in college with undiagnosed ADHD, and felt like my life was falling apart and I was alone. I started writing a retelling of Sword, but the more I wrote, the more disappointed in it I felt, so I started writing Black instead and scrapped Sword altogether.

I’ve had some rough road since, but Black is complete, Black 2 is also complete, and Ultra Sun is (mostly) complete (but with plans to be heavily altered), while Red is underway!

WARNING: These stories can get DARK, and I would rather my readers be over 18. They are not dark with the intent to squick out or upset people, however; they are dark with the intention of exploring thoughts and ideas I find too difficult to think about directly. There are more personalized warnings at the beginnings of each story. With that out of the way, please just try and move on if you find yourself disliking a specific story or part of a story of mine... If you want to give constructive criticism, you are more than welcome, but tearing into me and my writing just because you didn’t like something helps nobody. Keep in mind I write these for fun and as a form of self-therapy throughout some of the worst years of my life.

Furthermore, I edit them a lot. And I do mean a lot. My FFN profile acts as a “changelog” for what has changed in the stories over the course of the time they’ve been posted.

Creatively Destructive

This incredibly well-titled story is an idea I have for a retelling of Miraculous Ladybug. I know, I know - absolutely never been done before /s

While I know there has got to be a thousand retellings of this show by now, based on just how.... terrible, the writing is, I want to try anyway. Because I genuinely love the premise of the show! I’m just constantly disappointed by how it seems to never go anywhere with its plot or characters.

So, Creatively Destructive will be a fanfic, and when I have more information on it, I’ll post it under the tag “creatively destructive.”

Roleplays

Me and my boyfriend love to RP a lot. From Monster Hunter to Pokemon, we do a lot of different stories. Sometimes, I really get inspired by what we come up together and I want to share it with others! Be it quick art based on a scene from the RP or a quick rundown of what occurred in an RP, you can catch these in the ‘Prow RP’ tags.

Currently, we are having a lot of fun with an RP based on the Hoenn pokemon games that I am sure I’ll be posting about!

I may also be open to RPs with others in the future :> Don’t be offended that I’m not open to them already... I’m just a very easily overstimulated person.

The Ballad of the ARK

ARK: Survival Evolved is a lot of things. It’s an amazing concept, an open-world game where you befriend dinos and fight alongside tribemates against other tribes, or work together to survive the hostile environment. But the true tragedy of this game goes so much deeper than that, and I want to explore that in writing, starting with my story, my experience, and then graduating to where I think the issue primarily stems from. 

This strange memoir will be posted under the tags of “Ballad of ARK.”

I currently live with my grandmother, having left my abusive home with my father, and although she generously allows me to live with her for the low cost of merely helping with some electricity and my own food, I struggle to remain abovewater financially due to difficulty finding work (thanks to issues with ADHD and physical problems following a bout with COVID in early January 2021).

Do you have any tips for starting a TF:FC blog? While I personally still have a bit to go before I feel I should make one, I do think the information would be helpful!

hfshdshgjfjhgHA I’m flattered that you ask me, as if I have any freaking idea what I’m doing fhfhfhffff

First tip, figure out what you’re comfortable posting! I’m still struggling with perfectionism, which means I don’t share WIPs and miscellaneous bits and bobs, because I just don’t think anyone would be interested in that, despite the fact several people have told me they are. So what do you want to post? Doodles, info files, ficlets, character designs, stream-of-consciousness rambling? All of those are valid by the way, curate your content as you see fit, your followers will love everything because we as a fandom are starving.

Second, look at other folks! Many fan continuity blogs I like have a taglist or about page somewhere, or at least a tag system that makes posts easier to find (assuming tungle’s tag search function works properly smh). Also consider, do you want asks and submissions open or not? Some folks have it set up so that they post everything to their main or art blog and then reblog the relevant Transformers stuff to a dedicated sideblog.

Third, aesthetic. Okay this is admittedly a little less important but I like choosing the theme and color scheme of my blog. This also kind of ties in to what you’ll be posting, make sure whatever format you choose is readable and easy to navigate, for both you and your followers. A useful thing I’ve seen a few blogs do is pin an information post or linktree at the top of their blog, so people can navigate it easily.

Fourth, get a backlog of content before you start and then post it regularly but sparingly. Not like, once a day or anything, but don’t dump a thousand posts in a week and then have nothing left to add. If you draw a few things, post one or two of them, and then post the rest the next day, so you feel less pressure to make some kind of post every day oh my god I’m out of new things to post I have to make something right now but I’m tired and uncreative hhhhhh. Backlogs help.

(Side note about content- mystery is always enticing, so maybe save some major plot points and spoilers, but hint at them. Just sprinkle in some winkwink nudgenudge and ominous foreshadowing so people get to wondering. Same with references to canon! Lil easter eggs are always fun to spot.)

Fifth, which you’ve already started doing by sending an ask to this blog, get connected to other fan continuities! Reblog their stuff, send some asks, treat other fans as you’d like them to treat you, and curiosity about your continuity will follow. I know for a fact that there are at least three Transformers fan canon ask memes out there too.

Sixth, but actually first and foremost,

this blog is for you.

Seriously! Do whatever you want with it! That applies to your whole continuity too. Don’t be afraid to post and reblog stuff that you like, even if it’s not necessarily Transformers, and on the other side, don’t feel bad for avoiding posting or reblogging anything if you want this space to be only about Transformers! Your blog should be set up for your ease of use and enjoyment, with your followers as an important but secondary consideration. Just Have Fun.

A Letter to WordPress

Dear WordPress,

Tumblr has been around for a good while now and many of us have been here since the beginning (or close to it). It’s become something of a comfort and a home base for many. You can understand then why it’s so terrifying and tension-setting when a new owner comes around.

This website has been through a lot of changes, very few of them good in recent years. I want to open up a dialogue from the user base about our feelings and desires surrounding this site, because to so many of us, not only its design and function, but its success and future are a big deal.

Obviously not all of the things I list below will be universal opinions, but I’ll try to outline some of the things I’ve seen the majority of users want. I’ll also throw in some things that are more personal, because I can’t claim to know everything the rest of the users want, but I can tell you where I see obvious problems.

First and foremost, here’s an obvious one. You can’t really go anywhere on Tumblr without knowing: we want the bots and the nazis gone. We need some kind of captcha system for every time someone wants to include a hyperlink in a post or response. Until the staff count gets higher, I would honestly suggest closing down the report system for everything but bots, nazis, and death threats/suicide bait.

Make NSFW content welcome again. Outside of porn bots, the pervasiveness of NSFW content is slim to none. As long as minors and those with ‘NSFW’ blacklisted aren’t seeing the NSFW content, there’s nothing wrong with it being here. A large number of the people posting NSFW content on here are artists who use this content to make a living on commissions. The ban has done nothing but make valuable members of the Tumblr community leave and take their art elsewhere. The focus should be cracking down on anyone who isn’t properly tagging NSFW content with ‘NSFW’. If the focus is put on that, the problem with NSFW content will be null.

Please keep Tumblr unintegrated with other social media. Most users will agree, the anonymity is such a huge part of what draws us to Tumblr. Other people only know what we tell them and it’s very appealing for our real life accounts (e.g. Google, Facebook, etc.) to be completely separate. When users want to share links to other accounts, they can do so easily with links on their blogs.

Replace ads with either, better, more sensible ads or members content. A large part of the ads on Tumblr make absolutely zero sense just by looking at them. Not to mention, they’re all completely unfit for the user base. I’ve seen weight-loss ads (harmful to the many people on the site recovering from eating disorders) and ads for products most people wouldn’t need or want until their forties. Most of the user base is 13-35, if I had to guess. I can tell you right now, you would make more money and the user base would be much happier if ads were removed in favor of members content. Adding a paid membership that allows users to gain access to new features (rather than restricting what’s already here) would be a huge boost in morale and company income. Use that income to improve the site. Don’t get comfortable making more than the bare minimum in profit until the website is functioning reasonably well. Hint: it’s not right now.

Keep the base functions of Tumblr. Don’t try and get radical, hoping big changes will excite the community. They won’t. We’re creatures of habit and we just want memes, fandom, and relatable nonsense. Keep reblogging, replies, customizable blogs, tags, and likes functionally the same.

Be receptive to bug reports and post change logs so that the community knows that they’re being addressed and fixed.

These are the obvious pleas of the community. Please keep in mind that the heart of Tumblr is in its users and if you ostracize us, there will be nothing left. We love this website and we want to see it thrive as much as anyone. We just don’t want to sacrifice the spirit of the community in the process.

Okay, so, here are some personal opinions that are by no means the voice of the community. I think they’re pretty sensible, but what do I know?

Change back the color. I hate this saturated navy color and I’m pretty sure a lot of others do too. I’m part of the disabled community and I know and have seen people saying that these extremely contrasted colors that were added are making their Tumblr experience worse. It gives people headaches due to light sensitivity and, frankly, it’s ugly. If you’d like to cater to those who are visually impaired/colorblind, that’s fantastic! Do so with an account setting that turns on higher contrast mode or adds patterns to things to make them distinguishable.

Add an option to blog suggestions and posts that have shown up on your dash from followed tags that says “Stop Suggesting This.” I’ve been suggested a number of blogs that I’m not interested in following. I don’t want to block the user, but I do want some different suggestions and for those blogs to stop showing up in suggestions. I’m also tired of seeing the same post twenty times from a tag I follow. There is currently an option that says “This particular posts sucks.” While I think that was a great attempt at catering to the community, I don’t want to use it because my intuition says that there’s a negative connotation. Does me saying the post sucks make it show up less for other people? Does it lose popularity? I can’t tell. The only thing I know is that I don’t want to say that a good post sucks just to make it quit showing up on my dash.

Implement some of the features that XKit uses. I would bet at least a quarter, if not more, of Tumblr users use XKit to make using Tumblr less painful. That shouldn’t be the case. Tumblr should have these functionality options available in dashboard settings.

A very hot take here that many might disagree with: Make notes viewable more like mobile has them. As it is, it’s hard to tell which ones I’ve seen on desktop. It can be tricky on mobile too, honestly, but it’s easier than on desktop. I would also heavily suggest making the unseen notifications darker so that they stand out and making a button to indicate that you’ve seen them.

Keep the dash, messages, notes, and profile as separate processes similar to how mobile has it. The trek all the way down the damn dashboard is a long one. I want to be able to see notes and messages in full size without losing my dash progress. When I switch back I want to be right where I was. I understand if this one isn’t possible or practical. It was just something I like about mobile over desktop but I’m aware that they’re two different beasts with different capabilities.

As far as the aforementioned members features, I do have some ideas, but I can’t guarantee they’re the best the user base has to offer. I’m sure others could think of better. Anyway, some things I’ve thought of are groups/clubs, digital currency, and separate dashboards. So, as it stands, You can have multiple blogs on one account. People can follow them separately. That’s fantastic. What would also be nice though, is being allowed to make separate dashboards. This would probably take up another chunk of server space, so I understand if it isn’t feasible right now, but I would jot it down. The ability to separate shitposts, aesthetic imagery, fandom content, and NSFW would be amazing. If you follow a huge number of blogs, like me, you could even make a friends dash so that you don’t miss your friends’ posts. It would just be a matter of allowing people to add and name their new dashboards. Then, when they go to follow people, it prompts them to choose what dash their content goes to. You could even simplify it by making the follow button default to the main dash, but adding a little dropdown arrow beside it. You could then choose which dash to add them to from a list. Anyway, I hope this has all been helpful in some way. I’m fairly certain that WordPress will never actually read this, but it was cathartic to write and I hope it will be cathartic for someone else to read.

There’s a lot of shit that was bothering me lately and i need to get it out of my system. I understand a lot of you don’t wanna read that kind of stuff so i’m tagging discourse and putting the rest of the post under the cut. Hope it’ll work

The first thing i wanna talk about is the way Jack interact with us here on tumblr but also on reddit. Do you remember favouritism drama that happened last february? People were pointing out Jack rebloging from same people all the time, he said he doesn’t do it on purpose, things were talked out and were ok for a while. However we came back to the same place again. I wouldn’t call it necessary favouritism but idk, ignorance maybe? I payed attention who Jack rebloging from, who’s posts he see in reddit vids. Before ya’ll jump on me, i don’t blame artists or people who he interact with at all. I’m glad they post and i hope they continue. The point i’m trying to make is Jack going through most popular most of the times. I don’t know why is this. I tried to ask him, i tried to ignore it, i tried to convince myself that i’m just jealous bitch and he does care about us all still equally. It’s really hard to think that when you see over and over popular creators, who already got good amount of notes, being featured in vids/ rebloged/ interacted with. Again, i don’t blame creators at all. I just feel frustrated that smaller creators doesn’t have chance to be seen, not only by Jack but by anybody really since a lot of people avoid tag to not see tea blogs posts. And then Jack saying in videos that he’s sad creators leaving… Are you surprised? Really? It was going fo so long and nothings changing in that regard.

I remember Jack said something along the line once “it’s better to interact with few than to not interact at all”. That’s true when “few” changes constantly but if it’s same few over and over you shouldn’t be surprised when people feel like worse of a fans and leaving.

“Draw for yourself, not for Jack”. Yeah, i do. I do draw and colour and i’m being creative whenever i have time. I just don’t post that often here anymore. Don’t be hypocrite. You all posting in the tag because you want to be seen. If you wouldn’t be seen you wouldn’t post in tag or even anywhere online. It’s very easy to say “notes doesn’t matter” when you get feedback whatever you post. I don’t want him to interact with everybody. A little bit of variety wouldn’t hurt tho.

I’ll quote something he posted on tumblr early this year: “I know I reblog and interact with certain people here more than others, I don’t think it ever really occurred to me properly because I usually just fly through the tag each day and interact with stuff as I see it and what it pertains to. It’s never been on my mind to do it for some more than others or “play favourites”. Some people are just FAR more active here than others and in the tag way more often, so just by sheer number alone it would make sense that I would see their stuff more as it’s usually more current. I’m sorry if people felt left out or underappreciated as a result of that. It’s a byproduct of things rather than the intent.” First of all I don’t believe he doesn’t recognize people artstyes at this point. Secondly it’s not hard to see the same popular people if you only going through most popular posts.

Another thing that’s bothering me are charity streams. Not that Jack raising money, that’s good. I’m not that much of a bitch. I mean the way streams are handle. Jack seems often unprepared. I don’t talk about games here, but about charity itself. Shouldn’t he know more about them instead of reading what they’re doing from their website? It was especially bothering me with team trees charity because this topic is talked about a lot and it’s really not that hard to find informations about it. “Let’s plant 20mln trees and save the planet!” No hun, it can and will help but it won’t save the planet as you claim.

“You’re going on the board” pissing me off so damn much everytime. I never watch streams if i don’t feel well mentaly because of that board thing mostly. I understand that you wanna reward people somehow, i get where it came from but again, it’s so unfair. Let’s give example. There’s person A who have a good job and earn quite a lot. It’s no problem for them to save thousand or two for charity. They will go on the board for that. There’s person B, who has shitty job, or is unemployed a lot of time. They have health problems and strugling everyday. They still wanna help out and give a dollar for a charity every month. Are you familiar with a biblical story about widow from Luke chapter 21? That’s what i mean with this example. Did you notice the way Jack read donations? How pumped he is when somebody give thousand dollars or at least few hundred and how he rush through one dollar donations? Because i did. Please don’t come to me saying he’s not guilt tripping people because he does. I don’t believe he’s doing it on purpose but don’t tell me you never felt that way. I just don’t believe you.

Forced PMA. This was talked about many times. Jack said it’s not about being happy all the time. Most of the community agree, yet i constantly see PMA = no negativity mentality and Jack incourage that by liking that kind of posts. Jack used to play “serious games” and tried to take opportunities to talk about mental health and about reaching out to friends, parents and getting professional help if it’s needed. I don’t blame him for not playing that kind of games anymore but he switched from that to making meme videos, and God forbid, yelling “a meme a day keeps the depression away”. And people take it seriously. They really do. I saw with my two own eyes on jse discord that somebody said they have depression and they don’t feel too well and another person replied with - go watch some MEMES because a meme a day keeps the depression away hehe. What is this??? Is it really the message you wanna send? Just google those memes. They’re disgusting.

Tea blogs. Again, are you surpriced they’re there? Are you surpriced that when one get deleted another two or three appear? I’m not at all. Because everytime someone try to voice their opinion respectfully (especially more popular people in community) they get anons saying things from “that’s not very pma of you”, “You’re just jealous”, “Jack would be disappointed”, “Jack doesn’t want you here”, “If you don’t like him then leave” to “go kill yourself”. Nobody want to get such lovely message. To avoid that they’re going to tea blogs. Sure, there is a lot of hate there too. Sure, there are people who just wanna talk shit and spread lies. But there are also issues like the ones i wrote above. They won’t disappear if we won’t talk about them. I do care about Jack. I really do. I want him to do well and i want have good time watching his vids. i wanna interact with people who i met in this community. That’s why i’m writing it all, because i believe we’re better than that. I wanna see us improve not go down.

Drawing!! Even though I have negative one million patience and just churn stuff out at random hours it’s so much fun to have that initial burst of creativity and just rush to create. Also just saving copious amounts of people’s art work for inspiration, like if I’ve reblogged from you your art is probably in my camera roll.

Finding things that fit my niche. Like gorgeously crafted tarot cards, devilish looking cats, cute clothes that have symbols I relate to like bees and dragons. Individualist type of stuff. also bears

Astrology and personality quizzes, because I love finding out about EVERYONE and myself because humans are so unique and dynamic to me I just want to know every little part of them even if I can’t.

Nothing satisfies me more than a freshly made bed. And I’m terrible at it because I have soo many layers so it’s really a treat.

Making jokes and coming up with weird and hilarious stuff like @otheliame and I’s conversation about using blood magic to increase dong size.

Finding random stuff in the back of the closet or garage like a penny board and just takin that bad boy for a SPIN! 

Coffee, coffee, more coffee. It’s so good, so good, so good. At the height of my addiction (when I was a temp at an office) I was consuming at least 8 cups throughout the day. And yeah ok it’s bad for me and none of you should do it but also it was freaking AMAZINGGGG

Mysteries, murder, detectives, oh my! I’ll never get tired of Bones, I relate too much to her character and appreciate her dedication to learning. What a dream!

Scary movies. What’s a sleepover without a little demonic sacrifice? Also, Ghost Adventures is a guilty pleasure because I think they get good stuff, even if I think it’s too monotheistic in their approach and obviously biased and not based in fact. Ok it’s fun i guess.

Eyeliner. it’s been my brand since sophomore year, and girl.... my wings.... woosh. When I get done up... wow. it’s a ... MOMENT.

Telling people I love them. There’s something extremely profound about just saying I love you to people. So much joy and happiness is derived from a shared moment of mutual affection, when two separate people bare themselves and say you are cared for in the most powerful way. Wow.

On that note, my boyfriend, he’s such a goofball like Alistair in real life. I love him so much and he always lifts me up everyday, and I appreciate him for being independent and confident enough to encourage me to pursue all my passions.

Making memes. I’m a meme maker, a connoisseur. I’m the back alley chef of memes who shoves five pounds into your coat and tells you to break left. The fool born of a line of court jesters beheaded and drowned for being too damn funny.

Did you make it this far? I love you. Fine, lastly, boba and sushi, because if I had to live a life without them I might fuck around and end it all. I went to Chicago for tour once and my classmates and I were freaking out because there wasn’t any boba so we found ONE place and it was powdery and terrible. Old Phandom Bullshit

This is to all the Old Phandom People.

I got back into the phandom a month or two ago and I have had a blast. There are so many new people enjoying and loving this show and it’s wonderful to see so much love for the show, especially after the collective phanbase took a hit after the trans!danny fiasco (i’m not here to debate that so don’t start pls, it just needed to be noted I saw shit take a nose dive after that)

So this revival of people so interested in the show brought back my own interest and I started following every DP blog I saw. Eventually I started recognizing people who joined around the same time as me (the 2011-2013ish era) and so I followed them as well because I was happy to see some of the older phans still around! 

But when I started following all the Seasoned Blogs I didn’t see the excitement and joy of getting new phans into a wonderful show, which is what I was expecting. Instead I saw people complaining about how the new phans don’t produce artwork anymore? How they don’t reblog anything? How they only shitpost and meme???? 

So buckle the fuck up because here is a post of all the shit the Old Phandom™ did because we weren’t hot shit and honestly? The kids throwing around memes and shitposts are better than we were because they fucking support each other.

1. Chased off any artist who was interpreted to be shipping pomp pep/shipped aged up pomp pep. 

Yeah this shit. So many artist came and went in the time I was here because they would A. either draw Danny and Vlad as getting along or B. draw them romantically (as adults) and suddenly they would be labeled a Toxic Pomp Pep shipper and they would get all sorts of notes to kill themselves. I don’t blame any of the artists that have left, we had some damn wonderful talent in the Phandom but if you treat people like trash they won’t stick around. Funny how that works.

2. Cliques

Old phandom had shit awful cliques that basically boiled down to if can draw then everyone worships you, if you do anything else you are shit. This mindset was the reason I always thought my contributions meant nothing to the phandom because the only time writing used to get acknowledged was if it was soul crushingly awful angst. (Seriously, tell me about one happy phandom classic, i’ll wait.) 

3. Shitposting you little bitches did it too don’t even front.

4. If you don’t accept this headcanon, you are trash.

I know I said I wasn’t getting into the trans Danny nonsense but god damn it’s the reason I took such a long fucking break from the phandom.

Breakdown is

People started to headcanon Danny as trans. This was cool and awesome and was great for exploring all the fun stuff that could come with the supernatural and hero fighting etc etc. 

Then people started to say that OTHER people had to headcanon Danny as trans or they would be transphobic. 

You see, old phandom people didn’t really understand what a headcanon was and people were chased off tumblr for refusing to conform to this. 

At it’s peak one of the self proclaimed phandom leaders literally blacklisted anyone who didn’t personally headcanon this and they weren’t allowed to partake in phandom events anymore. Like legit banished from the phandom. it was fucking crazy. 

I was literally on the Anti side just because I didn’t think we should be awful to each other over this. And I loved that headcanon until the discourse hit me.

 5. Jumping down the throat of anyone new.

I used to think this was funny. 

I’ll be honest. 

Now I just see it as damn ugly behavior. 

Someone would stumble into the tag and post something innocuous like “Wouldn’t it be funny if this was called the Phandom with a PH???” and y’all would just yell at them en-mass about how stupid they are and obviously it’s already called that like no wonder we were dying as a phandom, we had a big gaping wound and we were stabbing anyone who tried to give us a transfusion I mean come on.

6. Phandom events

We had phandom events too! Phanniemay, ectober, christmas truce, and other little prompt weeks and the like. 

Problem was, the phandom only cared about the art, not the writing or headcanons or anything else so it was pretty exclusive if you weren’t someone who liked to draw, made more exclusive by the aforementioned blacklisting.

I don’t know how to end this nicely so I am just going to end it with a summery.

tl;dr

Old Phandom is trying to say that the Phandom is going downhill, but to Old Phandom any direction that isn’t their’s is wrong so maybe their view is a lil fucked.

2. Is there a trope you’ve yet to try your hand at, but really want to?

Sooooooooo many. I’m a real sucker for soulmate AUs or royalty/historical AUs but have never had the right idea (or the stamina, tbh) to pull it off. I would love to write a classic fake dating or huddling for warmth/bed sharing fic as well.

4. How many fic ideas are you nurturing right now? Care to share one of them? 

Let me put it this way. I have a notebook dedicated to my future fic ideas that is ALSO packed with random pieces of paper I have written ideas on, and then there are the notes written in my phone and the random fic plans I’ve saved on my computer. But, in terms of actual ideas that I plan to write in the near(ish) future? I’d say about 15. One of the fics I really want to write is an Everlark fic where Katniss passes through the five stages of denial while realising her feelings for Peeta. I’ve also got a vague fic idea for a Lizzington S4 fic featuring quite a bit of angry smut. And a Ginny/Hermione fake dating idea. And a Buffy/Angel five things fic based around going for coffee. Or there’s the Nine/Rose Teacher AU...

I have too many ideas, can you tell?

8. Share a snippet from one of your favorite dialogue scenes you’ve written and explain why you’re proud of it.

Wow, you’re really testing me with this ask, huh?

So, one of my fav fics I’ve written is a Lizzington AU called Chance. Liz was stood up for a blind date and was rescued by Red and there’s just something about this scene that I enjoy. I frequently try to have little callbacks to the fic title or a conversation had earlier or something from canon in my fic, and this is a good example of that. I also like to write characters being playful with each other during conversations, where there is some nice banter between them. Flirtatious banter is just about my favourite thing in the world, but I think it’s the positivity of Red coming up against Liz’s cynicism that I like here:

“The colour of your dress caught my eye as I passed the first time,” he explained with a chuckle. “Red looks marvellous on you, did you know?”

Liz gaped at him, a little stunned.

“And as I said before, when I saw you looking so absolutely devastated as I came back again, though clearly trying to hide it, I thought that I should take a chance.”

“Take a chance? With a complete stranger?”

“Isn’t that what you were doing tonight? You hadn’t met the gentleman you were supposed to have a date with before, had you? Weren’t you taking a chance?”

“Well, I—” she stammered. “That’s different.”

“Yes, but only by a matter of degrees. I saw you and was intrigued by you. A beautiful woman like yourself is bound to draw notice, but I happened to notice—”

“That I looked miserable, I remember.”

“No, that’s not what I was going to say. I noticed that you were still here. Still willing to take a chance, even in spite of the difficulty.”

“You realised all of that as you passed by the restaurant?” Liz scoffed incredulously. “Just how long were you lurking about out there? My date could have been in the bathroom for all you know.”

He laughed again and shook his head, looking at her in a way that she could only describe as warm.

“And that was a chance I was willing to take.”

9. Which fic has been the hardest to write?

Honestly, the hardest would be a terrible Snape/Hermione fic I left unfinished over a decade ago, but that feels like a whole different life and different person to me now. So the hardest since I’ve started writing again would probably be Just for tonight, which is a Buffy/Angel fic I wrote for the IWRY marathon in 2018. It was surprisingly tough for me to write because it was the first time I was attempting anything for BtVS but I had been reading BtVS fanfiction for over fifteen years, so it was just weirdly intimidating.

Also, any multi-chapter fic I have ever attempted ... they’re all just ridiculously hard. One-shots are more my thing.

16. If you only could write one pairing for the rest of your life, which pairing would it be? 

You know, I actually thought about this question when I reblogged the ask meme and I genuinely didn’t know what I would say. The obvious choice would be Lizzington, purely because that has been the pairing that I’ve written the most for. And I guess as long as I was still able to READ other pairings from other fandoms, I’d be quite happy to stick to them.

28. Share three of your favorite fic writers and why you like them so much. 

This is a really tough one because I have at least five fandoms I read a lot in and I would be able to name at least 10 favourites in each ... So, instead I’m going to try to choose one each from three different fandoms that I have recently been reading.

TBL: Lady of the Refrigerator. I mean, I’m pretty sure that anyone who reads Lizzington fic is aware of their work. It’s just marvellous. Well-written, wonderful plots, excellent characterisation, humour, angst, smut, communication between characters to resolve their god damn issues... I mean, who could ask for more?

BtVS: Maquis Leader, this is the author I go back to when I’m feeling nostalgic. I would reread their Buffy/Angel fic over and over and over again. Good storylines, sprinklings of smut and a whole lot of happy endings that were never achieved in canon. Everything I’m looking for when I’m looking to go old school.

Dr Who: Caedmon, a master of Doctor/Rose fiction. I’m a Nine/Rose shipper, myself, and love the way they write this pairing. A mix of longer stories and short one shots, all with excellent characterisation, interesting plot lines, good humour, enough angst to satisfy my desire for hurt/comfort and plenty of fluffy fic for when I’m in the mood for something sweet. Just lovely. A real pleasure to read.

Some meditations on being a fat human being, in the era of Good Omens series fandom.  Not n//sf/w, really (hi my name is Jack I’m ace and supremely uninterested in sexytimes), but really personal and also long, so I’ll stick it behind a readmore.  I suppose if another fat human being had thoughts they wanted to tack on, they could reblog to do so, but I don’t expect this to be a particularly rebloggable thing.  Just thinkin’ out loud (via clickety fingies).

I have been... okay, more or less, with how my body looks, for a while.  (Minus all the things about it that make me get “she” and “her” and “ma’am” everywhere I go, with exactly three glorious exceptions in the ~4 years since I realized that those weren’t right.  That is a whole ‘nother bucket of bears.)  I’ve been on Tumblr over on my main account since 2013, and the entire time I’ve been immersing myself in fat positivity and in fat activism by wonderful accounts like ok2befat and bigfatscience and thisisthinprivilege.  So I’ve been basically okay. 

It sucks how hard it is to find clothing that I like which doesn’t completely exclude my particular set of proportions.  It sucks that my saint of a boss had to literally fight our HR department to change the company policy on flights for business, because the previous policy would have forced me to fly 18 hours in an economy-class seat much smaller than I am when I visit India in a couple months.  It sucks that my body is still the “oh, is this disgusting thing a dealbreaker for you” question on dating websites, and that it’s still the butt of every third Trump joke.  It sucks.  But I’ve gotten better over the years at the skill of seeing my body as not the problem, but an innocent bystander in everyone else’s bullshit.  Clothing and plane seats and humor don’t spring from the earth to be harvested and consumed raw.  People decide how to make them.  People can decide differently.

Anyway.  I’ve been pretty much okay with Body.  Body’s fine.  It’s a good pal.  It gets me where I need to be, and it lets me run around in little circles pretending to be an airplane when I’m bored.  I spend some time with it in partial states of undress now and then (I’m too much of a germaphobe to ever be a naturist, let’s put it that way), just so I can keep myself familiar with what it really looks like.  Y’know how the horror movie monster is really scary up until they actually show it?  Same thing, except fewer blood squibs.

But here’s all this Good Omens stuff.

A lot of the fandom has embraced the slight pudginess of Michael Sheen’s Aziraphale, and a lot of artists are putting that into their work.  And a blessed wonderful few aren’t stopping there.  They’re drawing Aziraphales that are more than just a tiny bit pudgy, sometimes that are just plain fat, unquestionably, not just “a little larger than the very thin rendition of Crowley” or “wearing a lot of layers” or “the clothes are just cut that way”.  Really, really adorable renditions of fat angels who are clearly loveable and clearly loved because look, the artist drew them together, Crowley is right there and he doesn’t have that look on his face by accident.

(There are book renditions floating around too where people have headcanoned a fatter Aziraphale, but I’m still talking miniseries right now.  Also, there are plenty of sort of... cartoony/stylized/silly renditions out there with fatter Aziraphales, but I’m not really talking about those either.  There’s a sort of area of artwork where the style or the scene being depicted is such that my brain is surprised when any of the characters is fat, because this is a pretty drawing of two people kissing or whatever and therefore obviously they have to both be thin.  Obviously.  Internalized fatphobia nonsense.  But that’s the kind of artwork I’m thinking when I type all these zillions of words.)

And that’s a choice, to say “I’m an artist and I’m going to draw this character who is worth being the recipient of a 6000-year-long love, and that character is fat, and that’s just how it is”.  And to keep doing it in one piece of art after the other.

speremint was the first artist I noticed doing this, drawing an Aziraphale who is loved by Crowley (the sacred apple tree art still cracks me up, poor Crowley) and who is definitely fat and who is adorable, and if you’ve read the notes on any of my fics you know that she singlehandedly changed how I picture my headcanon’d Aziraphale.  Then I discovered that dotstronaut and lonicera-caprifolium and toastedbuckwheat are out there too, giving me lovely art to shove into my eyeballs and extend my lifespan potentially indefinitely.  I bet there’s more I haven’t noticed yet.  I want there to be like a hundred more I haven’t noticed yet.

And this all ticks over into the second half of what’s apparently a manifesto at this point, boy it’s a good thing I’m a fast typist, which is the fact that in addition to being a fat human, I am also romantically and aesthetically attracted to fat humans.  It’s something I’ve pretty much literally had no opportunity to ever express, because in my Real Life I don’t really admit to having feelings per se and also I am... not the type of human who is the recipient of romantic thoughts from others.  Or who would ever act on my own unless the other party said something first.  (Which nobody ever has since 2006, you guys.  Supremely not the recipient of romance over here.)

So there’s this fandom environment where a fat character is being celebrated and loved, and I started writing fanfiction for the first time this century, and all of a sudden there’s a place for me to express feelings that I’ve been sitting on since I finally realized in about 2001 what it was about that one guy in high school that made me want to hug him, even though I also couldn’t stand his attitude.

Going through my fics from oldest to most recent, it is clear that I am getting more and more comfortable with that expression.  It’s getting ridiculous.  At this rate, in three weeks’ time I’m just going to be writing “Aziraphale is fat and beautiful and I just want to cuddle his belly forever” over and over again for five thousand words at a stretch.

But that means Brain is thinking a lot about how Aziraphale is fat, and beautiful, and perfect exactly how he is.  And then Brain looks down at Body and is like “hmm.  Same hat.  ineffablefool is fat too.  Therefore, [insert math lady meme here]”.  And I will be, like, “okay, so if Crowley were to put his hand on Aziraphale’s belly, what would that feel or look like?  How would his internal narration describe it?  Well, there’s a belly right here, let’s do some science.”  And then the thoughts that I start associating with the experience of my own body are completely good thoughts, all of them, because they’re going to be going in Crowley’s head.  And my written Crowley is never going to be anything other than madly in asexual romantic love with my written Aziraphale, and is never going to see him as anything other than perfect, physically, no matter what he looks like.

And it’s just being a really good positive feedback mechanism, I guess is the tl;dr version.  External validation (via art, via others’ fics, via comments on my own fics, btw if you’ve left any of those then you are also helping extend my lifespan, especially the people who come back to comment on each new story, yes I recognize you and I do a little happy dance every time a familiar name pops up, please rejoin me on Monday I’m going to post my dickwheelie letters fic) is all well and good.  But the mental loop of “own body can be used for realistic descriptions of a fat body -> descriptions based on own body are all lovingly positive -> own body is therefore described by self as lovingly positive” is... it’s nice, is what I’m saying.  It’s very nice.  Last week I expressed, out loud in a group of coworkers, my desire that something be more size-inclusive.  Do you even know how many deaths I would once have suffered rather than say something like that in mixed company.  But why shouldn’t I say it!  There’s nothing wrong with my being fat!  In fact, it’s within the realm of possibility to see it as a positive thing, so let’s just all admit that we have eyes and then move on!  Geez!

So those are some of my thoughts on being a fat human being, in the era of Good Omens series fandom.

I totally did reblog that meme in July, but there are no time frames on memes -- mainly because I am horrible at getting things done on time when they don’t have to do with work where I’m getting paid for it and also somehow the boss how the fuck did this happen help me so I’m totally happy to do this!

Also you’re a sweetheart, thanks for the anon stalking and I’m really glad you liked be unbroken or be brave again! (For those who are not the anon who sent the message, immediately after sending this ask I got a second one apologizing for sending this one since it had been so long since I reblogged that meme.) 

I’m not going to lie, I am kind of stupidly proud of that fic. I also felt like I was possessed literally the entire time I was writing it. 

I have never written a oneshot that long. I’ve nearly never written chapter fics that long! So yeah, stupid proud. I guess that kind of counts for the meme? But that’s lame so we’re not going to count it. 

Secret secret secret, okay. 

Okay, so I did not write this story in order. I wrote scenes -- starting with Arya getting letters and Sansa’s very specifically not mentioning what was going down. The original plan was to do the first half from Arya’s point of view and then switch to maybe Oberyn or maybe someone in his party. So bits got written...and then I realized it wasn’t going to work. But I was left with like three seperate sections from Arya’s point of view, then one from Oberyns, then two from Sansa’s, etc. So I had to do a lot of moving around and a lot of switching POVs. 

So under the cut you can see an early scene that was, in the final version from Sansa’s point of view, but in the first draft was Arya’s. 

“Why not just have a bastard?” Arya asks, as a relatively small group made up of Sansa, herself, Jon, Lyanna, Sam, Gilly and Brienne break their fast, the next morning, in Sansa’s solar.

Jon, who is taking a drink when Arya speaks, sprays Sam who is sitting across from him. Sam is too busy choking on his own bit of breakfast to seem to mind. Sansa cuts into the meat on her plate evenly, unperturbed. “It was brought up, by the council, as the most important part of an heir is Stark blood, but I think there are more problems to it.”

Lyanna snorts, loudly, “More problems? You mean more demands,” and Sansa tilts her head in agreement.

“Wha’?” Arya asks, ‘round a mouthful of food, just to see the disgusted twist to her sister’s face before she finishes chewing and swallows dramatically. “What?”

Sansa sighs, takes a bite of potatoes, chews and dabs her mouth with a napkin before replying. “The lords feel they have the right to chose my bedmate, or at least offer very strong opinions, if it’s just to be for a babe, but not if he’s to be my consort.”

“Gods be good,” Jon says, slightly pale, and Arya wonders how the men ever thought he had the pragmatism to be King, “Who did they propose?” Everyone else studiously avoids making eye contact with anyone, except for Sansa, who glances up and smiles slightly.

“Jon,” she says.

Jon frowns, “What, am I not allowed to ask —“ he clears his throat and his eyes go wide. “Oh.”

“Quite,” Sansa says, still calmly taking polite little bites of her meal. Arya realizes the others aren’t shocked, which must mean that all but her and Jon knew already and — Arya wishes they served more wine with the morning meal than they do. Sansa is the only one who doesn’t seem at all embarrassed by the conversation, and if Arya didn’t know better she’d think her sister was, in fact, slightly amused by it. “So, I thought a consort might be a better idea, especially as the last queen Jon bedded he also killed.”

Arya surprises herself with a burst of laughter that seems to break the spell of awkward silence everyone else has fallen into. “Heartless, Sans,” she says, shaking her head and still chuckling.

They’re all left to eat in the quiet, less awkward this time, with an occasional chuckle, until Arya breaks it again. Best, she thinks, to get all the awkward conversation out of the way here and now, instead of drawing it out. “Alright, fair point, but there are five camps of people from the South out there — don’t we have someone who would suit in the North?”

Sansa frowns and folds her napkin into her lap, before shaking her head. “I can’t take anyones heir, as they would be giving up their holdings to be here and act in my name, and very few second sons have survived, here in the North. Or heirs, to be fair. If I chose a banner man then I elevate him and give more honor to that house as well.” Her mouth twists into a grimace.

“Also,” Lyanna cuts in, having been nodding along to everything Sansa had said, “the King of the southern kingdoms wrote — the letter got here an hour after we’d first started the discussion of the Queen’s marriage — and suggested we open ourselves to offers from the South.”

They all chew on that bit of information and the meal in silence for a bit longer, before Jon breaks the silence. “Do you think they’re trying to get you — the North — back?”

Sansa snorts, decidedly unladylike, and shakes her head. “I will not be known as the Queen who gave up our freedom after we’ve managed to keep it by the skin of our teeth, and my council wouldn’t let me anyways.”

“Maybe,” says Arya, thoughtful, “They don’t wanna keep choosing people to rule though, and you do have the same blood as the king,” she pauses as talking about Bran is still painful for all of them, “so they’re hoping you’ll provide an heir for them?"

Sansa looks a little surprised, then contemplative, as she shrugs, “Mayhaps, but I will not send my children south, unless they wanted to go when they were older, and I think Bran knows that.”

Arya can see Sansa starting to put on her armor again, piece by piece, must like she herself can put on a face, and she decides she wants to at least leave this meal on a light note. “We should take bets on how many are coming to win the hand of the incomparable Queen of the North.”

“Arya,” Sansa warns, but too late because Sam and Gilly have perked up.

“I bet there’s at least one duel for your honor,” Gilly says, proof that Sansa has been letting her read some of the historical stories now that she’s learned to read, “It’ll be ever so romantic.”

“I bet someone writes a song about you,” is Jon’s offering.

“Poetry,” Arya adds, “there’s going to be loads of poetry.”

Lyanna laughs, “Oh, there’s already poetry, and it’s awful.”

And Sansa laughs and covers her face with her hands and Arya considers her work done for the moment.

Draw Everyday Challenge: 2019

This challenge was created by myself and @markiplieristoblame

The rules:

           The point of this challenge is to draw something at least once a day and document it to hold yourself accountable. The drawing can be a full illustration or a simple sketch the only rule is you must have shown some effort. Don’t just draw a smiley face or a stick man to get out of missing a day, draw a smiling stick man doing something. You are not limited to pencil and paper, draw every day sounded nice but painting, sculpting, textiles, etc. all count. Your work of art may have taken seconds or it may have taken hours but in accordance with the rules a work of art can only count for a single day. For example, posting a progress sketch of a larger illustration can count for one day but posting the final illustration a week later does not count for another day. Feel free to post and share more artwork than needed, but this challenge is meant to make you find something to draw and draw it each day whether the inspiration be from life or from your mind. The point of this challenge is to force you to look for things to draw even after you have exhausted your go to drawings. This will help you to draw outside your comfort zone, learn new shapes, and see more things that you want to draw in the world as well as give you practice to improve your drawing skill. From beginner to expert this challenge can encourage you to improve and for those, like myself, who struggle with motivation we have introduced a motivator. Punishments. Following are a list of punishments (hopefully you won’t need more but if you do feel free to get creative!) Life happens, and we all know that. Many of these punishments are harmless. If there are any that you cannot perform due to religious or cultural constraints, please replace them with your own. If you just really don’t want to do one, all the more reason to draw! Should you find yourself with an emergency, you are granted one free pass for every 30 days you draw in succession. This is all up to the honor code but I hope you will participate to the fullest of the rules as it will bring you the most satisfaction come 12/31/19 when the challenge comes to a close. Now, what is a punishment if you can just say you did it? For a punishment to be considered complete, you must record video proof of your completing it and post it to the same account you have been drawing on with a tag or description containing the day the punishment is replacing. This may all sound harsh, but it is because I have so much faith in you to succeed. If you are going to participate in this challenge please post these rules on your blog. Punishments must be completed in numerical order. Yes, there are some easier ones down the line but that is because if you miss that many days we figure you need a break. If you found this after the first of the year it is not too late. For the number of days you have missed since 1/1/19 you may draw 2 drawings a day to compensate without punishment. THIS IS THE ONLY TIME THAT DRAWING TWO IMAGES THE NEXT DAY WILL BAR YOU FROM THE PUNISHMENTS ACCORDING TO THE OFFICIAL RULES. If you are planning to participate and use this challenge as a baseline for your own rules, please reblog this with your changes to the rules so that we can consider those changes for the official rules should this challenge be hosted next year.  Punishments:

1.    Publish an apology video

2.    Write “I will not miss another day” 50 times on any surface

3.    Do a piece of art in a medium you usually don’t

4.    Sing a song (karaoke is fine but no lip syncing)

5.    Dance on camera

6.    Caramelldansen (if you aren’t old enough to remember look it up)

7.    Show us your bedroom. Now!

8.    Do an exercise on video

9.    Walk a dog. If you don’t have a dog borrow one.

10. Review a product in your home

11.Go somewhere in your town that you have never been before

12.Go for a hike (complete the hike)

13.Make a collage of pictures of what matters most to you (minimum 5 pictures)

14.Attend a local class or function (school courses do not count this is an elective attendance)

15.Go to your local grocery store in a costume (this punishment must be completed at least a week before or after Halloween. Delay it if necessary.)

16.Find an instrument and play it as best you can in a video

17.Create a tutorial for a piece of art you feel confident in (if you are a new artist, follow a tutorial online and film that instead)

18.Cook something and film the process

19.Review the nearest red product to you (if you are colorblind or otherwise visually impaired reach out to your left without looking and review the third object you touch.)

20.Learn to say “I promise to try and do better” in another language and film yourself saying it.

21.Take a self-care day and post pictures and a list of your activities. You do not have to be in the pictures.

22.Call a relative over 50 years old and explain a meme they are not familiar with to them. (Obtain consent from the relative first if you plan to include their audio in the video.)

23.Go to the site nyan.cat (not sponsored) and listen for a minimum of 30 minutes.

24.Write “DRAW” on the back of your hand. (If you are prevented from doing this by occupational or otherwise binding restraints, write it on adhesive notes and stick one to either side of every door in your home)

25.Text a friend who in not aware of the challenge “art is shrek and skrek is <3 so art is life bro [eggplant emoji]” including the typos and lack of capitals. You cannot explain for a minimum of 10 minutes after they have read and/or responded.

26.Call the fifth contact in your phone without explaining why to them first. (Obtain consent from the person you called before posting any audio with their voice. If they do not consent and you do not have a way to remove that audio from your video, post a picture of your contacts showing just the names and then a picture showing them in your recent calls.)

27.Call your mom and explain the challenge to her and that you accepted it. Admit that you have missed 27 days so far and provide her with a link to where you are posting your art. (If your challenge has contained NSFW art just show her your punishments and at least 5 SFW drawings. Obtain your mother’s consent before including her in the video. If she does not consent post a video summarizing your experience with this punishment.)

28.Eat something you hate on camera.

29. Post a piece of art to Facebook for all your family to see. (If you or your family are not on Facebook, text the image of your art to at least 10 people.

30.Watch Nanalan’ for a minimum of 20 minutes. You can find it on YouTube.

The most important part of all of this is to have fun. This is meant to help you improve and stay accountable, not to be torture. Lets draw some stuff and have a great time. Feel free to suggest additional punishments to be added. If either @markiplieristoblame or I need additional punishments we will be sure to post a list here and on her blog.
