Cost Of Starting A Business In Dubai
Tumblr media
Dubai has emerged as a favored location for entrepreneurs and investors globally. Renowned as the commercial nucleus of the Middle East, Dubai is acclaimed for its superior global connectivity and business-friendly legal framework, making it an attractive destination for new ventures. The demographic benefits further enhance its profitability. However, grasping the financial requirements for establishing a company in Dubai is crucial, as insufficient knowledge might lead to extra costs.
Mainland business setup / LLC company formation costs
Tumblr media
Experts advise that the fees for company incorporation in Dubai are subject to change. Therefore, engaging with a knowledgeable and cost-effective business consultancy in Dubai is recommended. These professionals assist in understanding early-stage fees, keep clients informed about changes in legal and government fees, and offer advice on minimizing unnecessary expenses.
The investment for starting a business in Dubai varies based on the business type, chosen jurisdiction, required approvals, and certifications. To simplify, Shuraa Business Setup has compiled a recent list of standard business setup costs in Dubai, categorized into Mainland, Free Zone, and Offshore.
Costs Involved in Mainland LLC Business Formation in Dubai, UAE:
Initial Approval from DED: The Department of Economic Development (DED) grants initial permits for commencing business activities. A nominal charge is levied for a period of six months, allowing time for further documentation. This is a one-off cost in the business startup process.
Trade Name Approval: The trade name represents your business identity. Costs may vary depending on the chosen name and include reservation fees, commercial name fees, foreign company name fees, among others. This is also a one-time expense.
Office Space Rental for LLC: For a mainland business in Dubai, renting an office space is compulsory, facilitating legitimate operation checks and adherence to immigration laws. This cost can be annual or for a specified term.
Attestation of MoA: The attestation of a Limited Liability Company’s Memorandum of Association, involving partners or shareholders, varies based on share capital but is a one-time fee.
Drafting LLC Contract in Arabic and English: The LLC agreement, drafted in both Arabic and English, requires mutual agreement of partners. Translation costs may be additional. This is a one-time expense.
DED Charges: The Ministry of Economy charges a one-time registration fee for LLCs, with additional annual fees varying per business.
Mainland Trade License Fee: Acquiring a trade license involves a one-time fee, which can vary based on business activity. A security deposit may also be required.
Commercial License Fee / Tejari: This annual fee is mandatory for commercial activities.
Dubai Chamber of Commerce Fee: An annual fee for general trading companies, with varying rates for industrial or manufacturing businesses.
Commercial Services Improvement Fee: An annual fee for governmental department improvements.
Administrative Services Fee: A one-time charge for paperwork processing.
Additional Costs:
One-time fee for general trading company setup.
One-time contracting license fee.
Real estate broker company fee charged by the Economic Department.
Government levy on rented premises (5% for office or shop, 20% for warehouse).
Additional fees depending on business nature.
Free zone company formation cost
The UAE’s free zones operate under unique regulations and procedures, leading to varying costs for company setup. Commonalities include local sponsorship, rental, and visa fees, but differences arise in areas like smart desks, office units, warehouses, license fees, registration fees, share capital requirements, and bank guarantees, which depend on the chosen free zone.
Notable Free Zone Licensing Costs in Dubai (as per Private Wolf experts):
International Free Zone Authority (IFZA): AED 17,900 (including one investor visa) or AED 11,900 (without visa). Prices vary by company type (e.g., FZE or branch office).
Components of Dubai Free Zone Business Setup Costs:
Free Zone Company Registration Fee: A one-time fee paid to the free zone authority when registering a business, varying based on the company type.
Free Zone License Fee: An annual charge for all companies within a free zone, applicable to trading, service, and industrial companies. It’s included in the company registration and handled through a single-window procedure by the respective free zone authority.
Rental Cost: Office rent is a primary expense in free zone business setup, offering 100% ownership of assets and liabilities. Rental costs, which can be monthly or yearly, depend on the free zone and type of space rented. The rental size also influences the number of visas available and permissible business activities.
Rental Options in Free Zone Setups:
Smart Desk: A cost-effective option, typically a single desk, ideal for freelancers and small businesses.
Office Units: Small, self-contained office spaces; costs vary by area.
Permanent Offices/Warehouses: Larger, full-fledged office spaces or warehouses, offering more benefits but at a higher cost.
Share Capital Requirements: Free zone companies must have a specified share capital, either divided among shareholders or as a total company investment. Most UAE free zones mandate a minimum share capital for company formation.
Free Zone Visa Fee: Limited employment visas are available based on office size, with annual renewal fees. Additional costs for new employees include residency stamps, medical fitness certificates, and ID cards, varying if the employee is inside or outside the UAE.
Bank Guarantee for Free Zones: Companies must provide a bank guarantee for each employee.
Registered Agent Fee: A local agent is required for governmental procedures in free zones, with fees applicable at initial stages and during license renewals.
Other Key Expenses in Free Zone Company Formation:
Name approval charges
Notarization fees
Insurance costs
Premium bank account setup in Dubai
Typing and shipping fees
Medical checks
Police clearance
Emirates ID card
For specific free zone choices, these costs may vary.

Been a bit, but I finally resumed drawing the team! This time it's our local ex-Karrakin-Baron-turned-fitness-junkie-and-shoe-magnate, Artyom, otherwise known by the squad as Peepaw. Picture Teddy Roosevelt crossed with Gwyneth Paltrow and that's Artyom. Needless to say he's not in line to inherit anything anymore.
Despite Artyom being a more humorous character, he might actually have the most dramatic background out of all of us. The GM definitely has fun playing Game of Thrones when it comes to Karrakis...

...just heard about the upcoming perk changes...hmm...yeah. the only good one definitely is the adrenaline nerf. I've wanted them to take away healing off hook forever.
the other perk changes are ass.
ultimate weapon is still outrageously unfair, even if you take away the screaming! to me, it feels like they just saw the uptick in people using calm spirit following the addition of ultimate weapon, and decided "hm, the way to deal with this is to remove the screaming." no! this perks needs to be reworked differently! given a longer cooldown, something! it does way too much for just one perk!
DS buff isn't going to stop tunnelling. strong killers don't care if you stun them, and weaker survivors likely won't even have DS because it's licensed...waste of a buff. just as they should do with off the record, they need to spread out these important anti-tunnel strategies to general perks. it's so unfair that something this important be gated behind a DLC. and no one perk should ever be too strong!
also, I saw otz's commentary on the changes. I could not agree more that certain killers should be nerfed directly, rather than trying to just balance perks generally. not all killers interact with different perks the same... nurse, wesker, huntress, blight, etc do not care about a stun, even if it's increased in length. you need to change them & how their powers work in relation to stuns, so survivors have a chance to get away from them, rather than buffing the perk so that old man ghostface has an even worse time in this dogshit meta lmao.
#dbd#thoughts about media#I haven't been on twitter in a while. I'm sure survivor mains are crying real hard about the adren nerf.#as if it was fair that the perk would heal you off hook like that. again: one perk should never do THAT much.#like. steve has a perk that heals you off hook. but it does ONLY that and you have to heal another survivor FIRST.#that feels fair! it does one thing and there's a trade-off! and the heal isn't immediate.#it's 16 seconds and then you heal. and you have base kit BT for 10 seconds to get away from the killer.#tbh- a slight buff to second wind would have been better than a DS buff. like. idk. reduce it to 12 seconds to heal off hook?#but second wind is a licensed perk again. so they should rather focus on making some general perk that does something like this instead.#there are sooo many survivor perks that are total dogshit and do nothing. including MANY general perks. REWORK THOSE!!!#I can't imagine this DS buff going to be a problem for hux because he's kind of a way more fair version of nurse.#he's very mobile. he just requires a lot more patience and skill to play.#I haven't seen anything about his planned changes yet. I'm hoping so badly that it will be a slight buff.#and by that I mean PLEASE MAKE SOMA FAMILY PHOTO BASE KIT!!!!!!#or even partially base kit!!! he should NOT be so dependent on one add on.#making it fully base kit wouldn't even be a problem because that would not impact kill rates at all.#this total hottie is only played by myself and a total of 5 other people worldwide.#making soma family photo isn't going to change that LOL.#like...some people might TRY him if he gets buffed. but I assure you- it would take a miracle to make more hux mains.

Cryptocurrency License via Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC)
Tumblr media
The rise of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology has captured the world’s attention, offering increased transparency, efficiency, and transaction security. Recognizing the immense potential in these fields, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has positioned itself at the forefront of the global cryptocurrency revolution. In this article, we’ll explore how to obtain a cryptocurrency license through the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC), a prominent player in the UAE’s thriving blockchain and cryptocurrency industry.
The UAE’s Crypto-Friendly Environment
The UAE government has been proactive in embracing cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology. In 2019, the Emirates Blockchain Strategy 2021 was launched, aiming to implement blockchain technology across sectors like healthcare, education, energy, and transportation. To provide a regulatory framework, the UAE Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) issued regulations for cryptocurrencies and initial coin offerings (ICOs).
Dubai, in particular, has emerged as a cryptocurrency business hub, thanks to its favorable regulatory environment. The UAE SCA’s regulations have created a stable and predictable atmosphere for crypto businesses, fostering investment and growth. The Dubai Future Foundation established the Global Blockchain Council to explore blockchain’s potential applications, while the Dubai Blockchain Strategy aims to make Dubai the world’s first blockchain-powered city. These initiatives have attracted talent, investors, and entrepreneurs from across the globe, resulting in the establishment of numerous crypto-related businesses, exchanges, wallet providers, and blockchain startups in the UAE.
DMCC’s Role in the Crypto Industry
The DMCC has played a significant role in nurturing the cryptocurrency industry’s growth in Dubai and the UAE. The DMCC Crypto Centre, a vital initiative, offers a supportive ecosystem for blockchain and cryptocurrency startups and entrepreneurs. The centre provides office space, licensing, regulatory support, and access to funding and mentorship opportunities.
Additionally, DMCC launched the “DMCC Tradeflow” platform, leveraging blockchain to enhance commodity trading transparency, efficiency, and security. This initiative illustrates DMCC’s commitment to innovation within the blockchain and cryptocurrency sector.
Collaborations with Crypto License Companies
DMCC has also partnered with various blockchain and cryptocurrency license companies to explore blockchain technology’s potential across diverse sectors. For instance, DMCC collaborated with Swiss-based blockchain firm CV VC to launch a blockchain accelerator program in Dubai, supporting startups developing blockchain solutions for the commodities industry.
Notable DMCC entities within the crypto sector include:
Regal Assets DMCC: Specializing in providing cryptocurrency investment solutions to institutional and individual investors.
Emirates Digital Wallet: A blockchain-based payment platform designed for fast, secure, and cost-effective transactions.
Future Blockchain Summit: An annual event promoting innovation and collaboration within the blockchain and cryptocurrency industry.
Obtaining a Private Wolf Cryptocurrency License
To obtain a cryptocurrency license through Private Wolf, specific requirements must be met. These requirements may vary depending on the type of license and the nature of the company’s operations. In general, applicants should:
Submit a comprehensive business plan outlining operations, objectives, and target market.
Possess sufficient financial resources meeting DMCC’s minimum capital requirements.
Have a competent management team with industry experience and a successful track record.
Comply with all applicable regulatory requirements set by DMCC and other relevant authorities.
Implement robust security measures to safeguard customers’ funds (if applicable).
The application process typically takes around four weeks. It’s essential to stay updated on evolving regulatory requirements in the cryptocurrency industry.
Conclusion
Dubai, through DMCC’s initiatives and its favorable regulatory environment, has positioned itself as a leading destination for cryptocurrency businesses. The UAE’s forward-thinking approach to cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology offers a promising ecosystem for startups and entrepreneurs. If you’re considering venturing into the world of cryptocurrency, DMCC stands ready to support you on your journey, making your cryptocurrency license dream a reality while handling the administrative complexities, so you can focus on growing your business.

i was watching a music video for a japanese song and it had built in youtube english captions so i went to turn those on but then i saw that there was like an option for "English" and then a second option for "English (Canada)" and i realized in a few seconds it was just a workaround to having two sets of english captions, one with colour changes in the lettering and one without for accessibility (the canada one was the non-fancy lettering) but for a moment i was living in a world where they were making dedicated canadian english translations for things..... measuring temperature in celsius and height in feet...... paying with loonies and toonies... going to the WASHROOM
#pencil crayons for colored pencils is a favourite but its mostly just an ontario thing tho from what ive heard LOL#calling electricity hydro is another good one. although that also depends on province <3 ontario and i think BC? and maybe more#sorry im ontarian. you can make fun of me for it its okay.#you know sometimes i think about attempts at 'canada english' settings in word processors and stuff#they always suck ass. because every person in this god damn country uses whatever word and spelling they want LOL#like theres some general likelihoods like colour and favourite are common. but centre or center? its like 50-50#i personally use both. depending on i dont know. context? the phase of the moon and stars?#theatre and theatre i see both as well and also personally use both but i have like specific rules for myself for some reason#i use theatre for playhouses and theater for movie theaters. i dont know why#and dont get me started on measurements. thats another combo of context and personal preference#people who work more in like trades switch a lot because of product labels but tend to lean more imperial#people who work in like i dunno. chemistry or something probably use a lot of metric#the average person working in neither? honestly they'll probably say both in the same sentence at least where i live#when installing art basically everyone uses both inches and cms depending on which ones more convenient on the ruler LOL#our drivers licenses in ontario say our heights in cm but literally no one can picture it with the cm measurement because#colloquially everyone says heights in feet and inches. its fine. its fine#edit: WAIT i got so distracted by measurement bullshit i forgot to mention the song. it was insomnia by eve#good tune as usual of eve and also a really beautifully animated and emotionally intense music video

gonna post the potluck2024 post tomorrow after work....which will be late because my caseload is too big and the nightmare is unending. however! there is joy in the small moments and the power of attacking people online for the sake of friendship and shared and unshared interests.
as we get closer to the actual event I might want to add ideas, but I work close to 50hrs a week so we're lucky I've prepped this much so far.
