the sally face gang because i recently realized that there truly isn’t ever enough art of them🫶

except, in true lennon fashion i had to add all of my headcanons and modernize them !!! here’s some info about each of my designs for them!!

in my design, the gang as a whole makes up a band called LAST (their first initials). they have matching necklaces for their corresponding instruments. i’ll go further into detail for that during their personal designs!

I was never able to totally describe Ash’s style, but some version of mall goth (not pictured here ofc) and biker-ish were the closest descriptors i could find. she and sal have hair dying parties where he’ll dye her tips and she’ll touch up his roots. idk how to draw ladder-laced docs, but if she were following lace code then they’d signify that she’s lgbtq. i think she doodles on her arms (similarly to larry) but her parents bug her about it, so she wears long fingerless gloves. ash is LAST’s singer and bassist! her necklace has a small, poorly drawn, microphone on it!

Larry’s style was much easier to describe. he’s a metal head with a side of grunge. he’s wearing homemade patch pants with random patterns and other details about him on the patches themselves. i still don’t know how to draw ladder laces, but larry does follow lace code and his laces are yellow for anti-racist and purple for lgbtq. he’s a huge doodler and spends a lot of time in school drawing on himself. he’s got Sanity Falls’ logo on his arm nearby LAST’s logo. he has other random paranormal details (a ghost and an eye) dotted around on his arm aswell. he’s LAST’s backup guitarist and will do vocals when the song calls for it. his necklace is a pick to signify this!

You may notice that Sal has a chest. in my mind he’s always been transmasc, but for this drawing i decided to draw him when he wasn’t binding. I describe their style as hippie grunge most of the time, but i think they also dabble further into the grunge style. he doesn’t draw on his shoes himself, but every now and then ash or larry will. since their mom was blonde and blue isn’t a natural hair-color, i thought them dying their blonde hair blue was really fun! he doesn’t always keep make up on his mask, but he didn’t have the time to clean it today. they’re LAST’s lead guitarist and have a pick necklace to reference this!

Todd is generally under-appreciated. i think if he were to generally put more effort into his appearance he would dress in dark academia. he got his left ear pierced with ash and his right pierced with neil. i feel like in most fanart his hair is suspiciously straight, so i did my best to make it generally curlier. he’s telling larry some kind of fun fact and the gang is reacting to it. he doesn’t draw on things around him like larry and ash, but he does write poetry! dead poets society is his favorite movie of all time. he’s LAST’s drummer because i think he needs some kind of outlet to deal with his anger. he also helps with band management. there are two drumsticks on his necklace!

would correct others if they misgendered you. "Actually they dont use those pronouns"

he is your #1 supporter! if you felt like you ever needed a binder, he would look up the best and safest options for you.

would often cut your hair or do your hair for more feminine/masculine look since he is good with hair ! (i picture him in a hair salon doing hair idk why ^^)

at first he would be a bit confused.. "wait so...what are you exactly ?"

didnt mean it in a bad way, just confused a bit. but once you explain it a bit better to him he understands!

sometimes he would accidentally misgender you and apologize immediately.

"oh, ah shit! im so sorry!"

you would definitely have to tell him and comfort him that its okay and he is just getting used to it.

I hc Sal Fisher as transmasc/ftm. Ik some people will argue that he’s “too feminine” to be trans, or bring up the fact he wears dresses sometimes (the family photo of Henry and Lisas wedding,) but that doesn’t mean anything?

The whole point of his character design is to go against stereotypes (“who said pigtails were for girls?”)

Trans men/transmascs can be feminine? And even then having long hair and wearing a dress isn’t even inherently feminine, Larry has long hair too after all.

He’s always been relatable for me and I have a hc that the “Sally Face” name was intended to be transphobic at his old town (they probably knew him before he transitioned,) but Sal, being the badass he is, owned it, not minding the nickname, and ignored the bs they said about him not being a “real man” because he liked having pigtails. I’d like to imagine he’d started T about the same time he moved into the apartment, and that his friendgroup knows and support him.

But anyways yeah I got into Sally Face again and feminine trans men are VALID and the creator of the game is cool asf for having cool diverse characters 💯

Trans MTF / Fem / Girl

- Her dad treats her like a princess

- When she came out a lot of people said they knew

- It took her mom the most time to come around

- Her little brother was a little confused at first but after a bit of explaining he understood

- Ashley chose her named herself after a famous rockstar she’s obsessed with

- Ashley had lived in Nockfell for a while and it hadn’t been the most “progressive” area. School had been hard when she socially transitioned and in highschool she’d found herself quickly tied to some of the only other queer teenagers she knew.

When going to come out to her grandma she expected to basically be disowned, for her relationship with her grandma to end and for things to go horribly.

Society at this point wasn’t very accepting of trans people and her grandmas generation wasn’t any better.

So when her grandmother grabbed her hand and called her, her granddaughter it was more than surprising.

Ash nearly went on a rampage when his hoodies went missing, but couldn't stay mad when he saw that Hunter had taken them.

Lately I've been feeling overwhelmed (not to say miserable) by all the horrible news concerning LGBTQ+ rights all over the world. Trans folks in particular are the new favorite target of hate. From free aggressive hatespeech to physical abuse, transphobia is more prominent than ever and being made legitimate through loud, harmful misinformation, not to mention actual legal action and social repercussions. Never would I have thought to find a little comfort in The Evil Dead. It's not only about headcanoning Ash as a trans man — a handsome, powerful, brave, badass trans man. It's not just about his journey through masculinity, it's about him taking action, fighting and defeating the evil around him, the evil that left him isolated, scared, mutilated. A struggle that allows Ash to regain control of his own body and identity. Thank you Ashley J. Williams for making me feel brave 💙🤍💖
