Hi there, I'll give writing as them a shot, I'm so sorry if it's OOC.

Ben and Aasim with an S/O who’s normally tired (even falling asleep against them!)

Ben

"Yeah, I don't blame you.."

I mean, surviving and fighting for your life everyday isn't easy.

He had to admit, sometimes he was worried you were sick, or something.

You weren't.

Just really bloody tired.

If you've ever got lookout duty, but you're feeling exhausted,

He'll take it for ya.

He'd sit in those freezing temperatures, nipping at his skin in the dead of night.

Just to make sure you don't pass out, or get sick.

God knows how tired you'd be if you got sick.

"It's so they don't go to sleep on watch. I don't want walkers creeping up."

That's what he says.

Whenever he's questioned, anyway.

He's a naturally jumpy lad.

And especially these days,

When anything could be the rotting, decomposing hand of an ugly ass walker,

He rarely took any chances.

The poor boy jumped out of his skin when he felt a pressure against him.

Was it a walker?

Did he break something?

Is someone attacking him?

He'd look over, hesitating.

Oh.

It was you, asleep.

You'd leant into his shoulder.

He didn't understand how it was comfortable, honestly.

But as long as you were fine, he was too.

Ben grabbed the nearest blanket, slightly worn from use.

Wrapping it around your figure.

He put his arm around you.

"Making sure they won't fall. that's all.."

He'd tell himself.

Sure, Ben. Sure.

He resumed watch, keeping an eye out.

Tapping his fingers on his knees,

Hoping the darkness would disguise the definite blush. 

It wasn't just that.

You trusted him.

HIM.

The screw up, the new guy.

He didn't understand. 

Nobody understood a lot these days, he supposed.

But for the first time,

In what felt like a while..

He smiled.

"Are they gonna fall asleep during hunting, or something?"

That'd be what he'd first think,

But he'd shake that thought out of his head.

You weren't irresponsible.

Just more tired than the others.

And hey, who was he to judge?

This world could be hard.

There's not always time for a nap. 

He'd find himself unconsciously keeping an eye on you,

Whenever you were asleep, that is.

He's not a creep.

He's making sure nobody disturbs you.

That's one of the first things that set of alarm bells.

When someone else fell asleep, he was never that interested in making sure they weren't woken up.

What was so different with you?

"They've been working extra hard. They deserve the rest."

That's what he'd say to himself, every time.

An affirmation.

Quit the bullshit, Aasim.

He was writing in his journal,

When he felt a pressure against him.

He knew you were next to him before.

Were you peeking into his book?

Nah.

You wouldn't do that.

He was correct, you weren't.

You'd fallen asleep.

Leaning against HIM.

"Oh.."

Never fear, reader.

This wasn't a disappointed "oh".

He took a moment to pause.

Breathing in sharply,

Looking around.

The others would tease him endlessly if they saw.

But when it came to you,

He didn't necessarily mind.

Plus, the others were busy themselves.

Mostly playing card games, but eh.

He grabbed one of the blankets,

Which was abandoned on the nearby step.

Slowly putting it over you.

He didn't want to wake you.

And, with another furtive glance to the surroundings, 

He put his arm around you.

You looked so peaceful in your sleep.

Not stressed at all.

It was a nice change.

He glanced up at the sky above Ericsons,

The stars lining the sky.

He wasn't Violet, star gazing on a rooftop, 

But it was pretty.

And, adding to the already present blush on his face,

He couldve sworn a group of stars lined up,

Creating a small image.

A heart.

Could you please write s1 groups reaction to a young reader (like, 9 years old or smth) looking after a toddler, sort of 1-3 year old? Like, the reader is the sort of kid that's depressingly wise beyond their years. Sort of like dynamic between clem and aj (s3) except the reader is wayyy younger than clem was in s3. (IF possible, could you add Carley and Lillys reactions too? If not for any reason that is perfectly fine)

Let’s say one day Lee and Kenny went on a run to find food

While they’re in an old store, they hear something fall over

You had accidentally knocked over a can

The toddler you were looking after got scared of the noise and started crying

“Shhh!”

But it was too late

Lee and Kenny had found you

They immediately brought you and your toddler back to the motel

Lee had assumed your guys parents had gotten bit, or maybe you ran away or got lost from them

He takes care of both of you

But sometimes feels like he doesn’t need to since you’re so smart

Sometimes he gets a bit scared of how smart you are

You were a 9 year old with the knowledge of someone way older than you

He’s super impressed with your knowledge though

And he takes care of you either way

When Kenny and Lee found you, Kenny wasn’t that surprised

He saw two little kids with no parents, a common sight to see in the apocalypse

But he noticed how smart you were

You knew how to survive

And you knew how to care for a young child

Even though you were also one yourself

Like Lee, he’s impressed with how smart you are

But he finds it sad too, because he knows how you probably gained that knowledge

He also finds it incredible how well you care for kids

Even kids your age or older

Clementine DEFINITELY looks up to you

You’re like an older sister for her

Even though you’re the same age

You know as much as Lee or Kenny does

She asks you to teach her how to care for the toddler with you

You teach her about taking care of children and survival

Clem loves hearing you talk about caring for kids or stories about outside the walls of the motel

Katjaa finds it so sad how much you know:(

But she loves taking care of your toddler with you

She would never ask what happened to you and your toddlers parents but would try and be like a mother figure for you

She’ll babysit your toddler so you can be a kid again

“I’ll watch them, play with Clem and Duck. It’s ok.”

She loves taking care of you

Brushing your hair, Finding you things on runs, Sharing her foods she knows you like

Ben finds it so sad:(

He’s shocked you know more about survival than him

And that you know so much about caring for your toddler

He would never ask about your parents

He knows what it’s like

He might be like an older brother to you

Carley would immediately feel terrible for you and your toddler!:(

She tries getting you and Clem to get closer to be friends

But understands if you don’t want to

She’ll take care of your toddler with you

Her and Lee might be like parental figures for you and your toddler

She feels so bad about your parents though

S1 Lilly liked kids, in the flashbacks with Clementine she was so sweet

She’ll keep her “tough girl” act around her dad though

She’ll take care of your toddler if you need her too

And will protect you (if you need it)

She admires how skilled you are

But finds it so sad at the same time

She probably won’t act as a mother figure for you

You know how after the Motel is attacked, Lilly shoots Carley/Doug? (S1) What if there was like a young pre-teen/teen reader (say, somewhere from 11 to 13.) and whoever Lilly aimed for, she either accidentally missed or the reader protected carley/doug, and the bullet hit the reader in the shoulder/arm (so not fatal just a bit like "bruh"). What would the reactions of the motel gang be? taking into consideration Lilly just shot a literal child 🤣

TWDG season 1 group reacting to Lily shooting (but not killing!) a preteen!reader

Lee

To say this man was pissed was an understatement

He didn’t care if Lilly meant it for someone else 1. There was no need to shoot an innocent person and 2. You just fucking shot a kid!

Idc what way you played with part wether you let her stay or no there is no was lee would let her come with you guys after that

After kicking Lilly to the curb he’d go back to you and gently carry you back to the RV before finding anything he can to patch you up

He’s so stressed and annoyed!

He wishes he could’ve gone back in time and changed it

He will fully take care of you till you make a full recovery!

He’d go through hell and back to get any medical supplies you need too<3

Kenny

He too was so pissed!

Like he’s shouting and screaming at Lilly

It’s by gods mercy that he didn’t shoot her

He tells everyone to help you get inside and find anything to stop the bleeding

I don’t have to say this because it’s obvious but he’s not letting her come with the group

As you all drive away he keeps shouting and cursing

It’s not very helpful but it’s all he can really do

Katjaa keeps telling him to calm down but yk that’s not gonna happen

He keeps a close eye on you while you recover and he gets a little (a fucking lot) over protective of you

She wasn’t there too see you get shot but as soon as she heard the gun shot she panicked

She put duck down in a chair and told him to stay calm and not too look

Once she saw you she started tearing up

She felt so bad for you!

She’d tell everyone to keep calm as she tried to bandage your wounds

She’d be at your side 100% of the time and would make sure your as comfortable as you can be

Duck

He also didn’t see everything go down but this kid was so upset

You where one of his best friends (mainly because there where only two other kids in the group, one being you) and he was you you bleeding and in so much pain!

He was already bit and seeing you shot made it so much worse :(

He was willing to share any supplies you needed to help you recover btw!

He’d do anything for his amazing best friend!

He couldn’t really help you out at all or even take your mind of it because he was too sick to do anything

But he’d use any energy he did have to ask if your ok or make a silly joke <:)

Clementine

She was traumatised oml

She saw her best friend get shot

She screamed and burst out into tears!

Lee told her to closer her eyes and not look at you while they patched you up, but she didn’t want to leave your side

So she stood in a place where you could see her and closed her eyes, every so often taking a peek and giving you a sympathetic smile

After you got bandaged up she’s stay by you and got you whatever you wanted

This one time the group stopped off to get some supplies are they came back to see her routing threw all the cupboards

“What are you doing, clem?” -group member

“I’m trying to find a snack for (name)! They wanted one :(“

Lilly

She felt so bad!

She didn’t mean to shoot you!

She totally froze, unable to say or do anything

Before the group forced her to leave and everyone inside she gave you one final look of worry and regret

She knew that leaving the group was the best thing for them and she wishes that you survive the shooting

That always sticks with her, the guilt may of died down after a few years but the memory never leaves

She always stills wonders if you made it

And if you wanna drag this idea to season 4 she will definitely bring it up to clem

Doug

He totally freaked!

He felt so bad!

That bullet was meant for him (and ben) and yet you got shot :(

The guilt he felt was something he was never going to live down.

This man would risk death to get you any supplies you need for your recovery, it’s the least he can do.

It’s so obvious he feels bad like when Katjaa was patching you up he couldn’t look at you for more than a second

After your recovery he tries and shows you how grateful he is!

He’d either tell you that you where one brave kid and he’s very thankful for that

And/or he’d find you some old teddy that he’d think you’d like!

Carley

Like Doug she felt so bad!

She was shocked at first but then anger took over and she started screaming at Lilly

She helped you get inside and find anything to patch you up

All the time ever during your recovery you could hear her angrily shit talking Lilly for what she did to you

Like Doug, she was obviously a little guilty and would tell you that she was grateful of what you did but she wouldn’t let the guilt consume her forever

But she’s always looking out for you now more than ever

Ben

This poor dude was too shocked to do anything!

He just watched in horror

This was all because of him (and Lilly) but he felt so much guilt!

He never stopped feeling guilty

He doesn’t know what to do at all

He does get you anything you need!

But he just can’t look at you :(

It probably takes him a good few months just to be able to look at you

The only thing you can really get out of him is

“…so uh how are you?”

He just don’t know what to do he wishes he could just go back and stop all of this

First of all, this mans such a softie for you like i don’t even think he’d try to deny it unless someones hardcore teasing him about it, he’s completely smitten so you have a lot of power when it comes to him, ask and you shall receive type thing

The second the leaves start falling in Crawford, he’ll offer you his varsity jacket and insist he’s okay in just his hoodie even if you can see him shaking like a leaf

But if his jacket isn’t enough he wouldn’t be opposed to asking the group to take a bit of a travel break specifically so he can hold you and warm you(and him) up some

I’m talking setting up a fire if he can, finding anything to cover you guys with and holding you against his chest, he’ll totally tell you stories about his childhood and travis and stuff until he can feel the warmth coming back to your face and hands

Also expect thousands of kisses whenever you have that kind of downtime because again, this man would build a city in your name if he could bc he’s so down bad

This man would 1000% not let you sleep alone, even if that meant almost ripping a sleeping bag at the seams trying to squeeze the both of you in there, but if it’s obvious he won’t fit in the sleeping bag he’ll let you have it and just pull you close anyways

This man is completely in love and will drown you in affection for the smallest reason

It’s been months since the world fell apart. The dead walking around and gobbling up those lucky or unlucky enough to be alive. Things had been tough for you, trying to survive with your family and your group. Things had changed dramatically when your group met Ben Paul, a young teenager who was the same age as yours. He was a nervous guy but always willing to help. But to Kenny, Ben was the reason why your family was gone.

Whenever Ben came around, the atmosphere changed. Kenny would turn into an angry person and you could feel the tension in the air. You knew that Kenny was grieving and he was lashing out, but it wasn’t fair to Ben. Clementine tried to talk to Kenny, try to get him to see that Ben wasn’t to blame.

It was on one of these days that you found yourself alone with Ben, trying to steal some supplies from a grocery store. You two had formed a great bond over the weeks and you were finally starting to feel something towards Ben. You and Clementine were the only one who understood Ben. And he understands you. It was the time you kissed Ben. It wasn’t anything special, but it was the start of something new, something hopeful. Ben was shocked but smiled, "I-i've been... Hoping you'd do that... For a long time."

You couldn’t help chuckle but smile back. “You have no idea how much I wanted that too.”

From then on, you and Ben were dating. It was a slow start, but having someone to care about, someone to love made all the difference in the world. However, it wasn’t all roses and unicorns. Kenny would still become angry whenever he saw the two of you together. It wasn’t until one night when Kenny was drunk that they realized how much he was hurting.

“We lost our damn family because of him,” Kenny slurred, pointing at Ben. You could see the pain in his eyes, the agony he was going through.

"Dad, please!"

"Please what? Huh?!" He yelled.

"It's not Ben's fault!"

"It damn well it is! He was the reason our family died!" Clementine flinched at his yelling. Lee had to interrupt.

"Woah, Kenny-" Lee was interrupted by Christa's hand, but he shoved it away gently. "No need to yell."

"I can yell whenever i want to!"

"DAD SHUT UP!" Your yelling made everyone in the room in complete silence. "We're lucky, y'know? We get to see our family in their last moments. And Ben? Ben doesn't even fucking know where his family is! So stop blaming him for everything! What he did, did not kill mom and Duck! He's staying, where you like it or not." You pulled Ben out of the room.

"You okay?"

He nodded. "Thank you..."

"You're welcome as always." A smile on your lips.

Sleepiness overcame you. You woke up in the lounge room. The first thing you saw was Kenny hugging Ben, you smiled at them before sleepiness took over your body once again.

Sleep It Off

Everyone in the RV was silent. The only thing you could hear were the walkers that we drove past. No one spoke a word of what events had just happened, especially Lee and Ben. Y/n turned their gaze at Ben. He sat at the mini dining table at the back of the RV. His face in his hands, his leg moving up and down out of stress. Y/n noticed how shooken up he was. They carefully moved through the moving RV towards ben.

They sat across from Ben at the mini table. Y/n just realized how this affected Ben. He didn't want this to happen. Hell, all he wanted to do was save his friend. He didn't mean to put his entire group in danger. He didn't mean to get someone killed. “You okay, Ben?” they ask, scooting their hand across the table, setting it near him. His breathing was shaky. “I-I didn't mean for this to happen! I just wanted-” he paused himself, his breathing getting a bit worse. “Hey, hey. Breathe, Ben. Breathe.” Ben looked at them, with a panicked look. “You just have to calm down ben.” Y/n says trying to reassure him. “How can I calm down when someone died because of me?!” Ben yells, getting Lee’s and Katjaa's attention.

Ben hides his face once again in his shaky hands. Y/n shifted their gaze at Lee giving him an apologetic look, then shifted back to Ben. “Do you want to talk about it?” Ben's head shakes left to right. Y/n scoots a bit in their seat moving a bit closer to him. “I'm not going to push you, but it would be alot easier for you to get this pressure off of you if you just talked.” Y/n comments, looking at Ben with a reassuring look. “I d-don’t want to talk about i-it right now..” Ben's voice, sounding less shaky than it did before.

An hour or two past by, Ben sat there in the same spot before still holding his face in his hands. He hasn’t gotten a second of sleep. Everytime he tries too, he just jerks right back up out of his slumber. Y/n laid across of him, head in their crossed arms for some comfort. “You okay Ben?” They said in a groggy, tired voice. Ben quickly flinched, being surprised to see Y/n awake. “Jesus! I thought you were asleep..” “I couldn't sleep.” Y/n replies, resting their back against the seat behind them. “I don't think I can sleep after what happened..” Ben comments. “Same here.” They both sat there in silence. Ben thought it would be awkward, but for some reason it felt oddly comforting. “I think I might have a way for us to sleep easier.” Ben let out a hum in confusion when Y/n stood up.

They went searching in one of the cupboards looking for something. After a few moments of struggling, they found what they wanted to find. A blanket. There were also a few extras, too. They grabbed three of the extra blankets and went around the RV to give them away. Lee and Clementine shared one, and Katjaa and Duck had gotten one as well. Y/n walked back towards Ben with the last blanket. They hold it out in front of him. “You can keep it y/n, I’ll be fine.” Y/n moves a lot closer to Ben by sitting next to him. “We can just share ben.” Y/n wraps the blanket around the two of them. Ben went to protest, but slumber began to take over. “Good night, Ben” Y/n yawns out, resting their head against Ben's shoulder. “Night y/n.. Thank you for everything” After a few moments of silence, the both of them had drifted off to sleep.

Pairing: Ben Paul x Reader ( The Walking Dead Game ) 

A/N: As I told you before I heard you, and I’m ready to deliver. I had to rewatch clips to remember a few things so I’m sorry this took a while to get too. This will be a sister piece to an early fanfiction I wrote for Ben, which was two years ago. I’ll link my other story, but I can’t say the writing will be good and to be mindful of the several typos I made.

Summary: A short prequel to Dead Birds.

Sitting on the RV she swung her legs back and forth watching the people below her go on about their day. From Mark and Larry working on the way to Duck and Clemintine playing together.  Turning her head to the sound of feet on metal, she saw Ben climb up onto the top of the RV. Returning his gentle smile, the girl moved to stand up opening her hands for a shy hug the boy gladly walked into.  Just as quickly as they hugged they pulled away. “Everything look okay?” He asked quietly, making his own quick scan of the place. He didn’t notice how (Y/N)’s eyes shifted towards the tree line as she replied to him.  “Yeah.” She turned back around to him, giving him another hug, this time clinging to him a little longer. “Everything is okay.” She muttered. She just hoped they would stick to their promise and only take the pills tonight.

* On the weekends when Ben’s parents would let him take the car, he would take you on road trips to new parts of Georgia that the two of you had never been to before

Sometimes he would get a bit nosy because he was confused, you where very young and you where looking after a kid??? What happened to their parents???He’d ask you about it and if it made you uncomfortable you’d get katjaa or Kenny pulling him away and apologising to you

Clem really liked you and your kid!

You where like a younger version of lee in her eyes, therefore she’s trusts you a lot more!

If your kid is more like duck then she’ll be nice but won’t talk to them as much :p

However if they’re more like her in the sense that they’re more relaxed or quite then she loves hanging out with them!

She always looked out for you and your kid

She’d make sure your child (and if they had enough you) had some food when it came time to ration food

She also always made small talk to your child she wanted to make sure that they where as happy as they could be in an apocalypse

She would also be there if you needed advice or to vent, her advice can be a bit honest and sometimes hard to hear but it’s pretty helpful tbh!

His man, like Carley, was never really good with kids

He would always back you up tho and he would always be there if you wanted someone to talk too

He would do anything in his power to make you and your kid feel safe!
