[A/N: Hello anon. I hope I was quick enough in writing this for you! It was hard getting away from my chores .-. Hopefully this is able to help bring you any form of comfort. I don't write for Dabi, so apologies if I portray him weirdly. I enjoyed writing for him though, so I might add him to my list of characters that I write for, hmm. Thankfully, many years later I'm no longer in that mindset, so you can definitely get through this. Shaky hands lift to the door, knocking desperately on the chipped painted wood repeatedly until you hear heavy footsteps approach from the other side.

The door rushes open as Dabi appears before you with a scowl on his face, ready to yell at whoever was behind the insistent knocking. Seeing you in front of him though, his resolve crumbles and his expression returns to normal.

“What do you want, brat?” he sighs rolling his eyes, then looks you over, noticing the school bag hanging over your shoulder, “Shouldn’t you be in school?”

You ignore his questions and scoot past him, into his apartment, throwing your bag onto his couch as you plop down right next to it.

“Wow, yes hello, nice to see you too Y/N. Are you gonna-” he starts, but stops as soon as he sees your panicked expression and he’s immediately in big brother mode as he closes the door and makes his way to stand in front of you, “What happened?”

“Please stop me Toya, I don’t want to hurt myself,” you finally confess, tears threatening to spill from your wavering eyes.

He forces his tongue back at the use of his real name, much preferring when you called him Dabi, but your words shock him enough to ignore it.

“Hurt yourself? Y/N what’s going on?”

“I don’t know how else to deal with my emotions other than taking it out on myself, but I really don’t want to because I know I’ll regret it once I’m done, so please stop me! Distract me! Something! Anything!” you scream out at him, desperate to not feel so helpless and horrible inside.

His eyes widen and his mouth falls slightly agape, but he quickly collects himself and takes a seat beside you on the couch.

“Oi, look at me,” he finally says after a few moments of silence as you fidget with your hands in your lap.

You refuse to look up at him, hating the way that you felt like you had to rely on your friend in a moment like this when you so desperately wished you could help yourself.

He sighs but continues to speak anyway, “Look, I’m not the greatest at this kinda...stuff. Y’know, comforting people or whatever, but you’re not people, you’re like my little sister, my friend or whatever, so I’ll try my best,” he pauses and sighs while rubbing his face. “I don’t know what it is that you’re going through, and you don’t have to tell me, but this ain’t the way to deal with your emotions.”

“Easier said than done. My whole body is screaming at me to hurt myself. So I can feel something, punish myself, or just get these negative emotions out from inside me, I don’t really know,” you try to explain, still fighting the nagging voice in your head that was telling you to do these horrible things.

“You’re killing me here,” he mumbles, trying to rack his brain for words that would hopefully bring you some sort of comfort.

He wasn’t used to being positive and up-lifting. Your friendship consisted of bickering, but at the end of the day, he was there for you just like you were there for him, so he needed to do something for you now when you needed him the most.

You patiently sit beside him, waiting for him to speak again, though now that you were in his presence, the urge to harm yourself was slowly dissipating.

“All right,” he turns to you, making direct eye contact with you as you were already looking at him, “I know things are rough and you’re feeling shitty. Again, I don’t know your entire situation, but I’ll be ready to listen whenever you’re comfortable enough to share.”

He clears his throat, wanting to look away, but feeling like it might be better to maintain eye contact so you know that he cares.

“Just please know that I’m here for you, all right? I’ll be damned if you think I’ll let you lay a hand on yourself while you’re here, so get comfy. You’re not leaving until I’m sure you’re feeling better,” he awkwardly looks away from you, shuffling uncomfortably on the couch.

You give him a small smile, knowing that this was hard for him, but grateful that you had a friend like him who genuinely cared for you. Though the urge to harm yourself was slowly being forgotten for the moment, the negative feelings from the day still lingered, but you knew it would be okay as long as you remained by his side.

“I have left over pizza in the fridge, want some?” He asks you, trying to ease the tension in the room and act like things were still normal; the last thing he wanted was to treat you like a psych ward patient or like you were about to crumble in his hands.

“Mm, yeah. Sounds good, thanks Toya,” you hum, thanking him not only for the pizza, but secretly for his kind words that you honestly didn’t expect from him; You merely expected him to yell at you or criticize you for threatening to harm yourself, so it was a nice surprise.

“Yeah, whatever,” he gets up to head towards his small kitchen so he can heat up the pizza for you, but stops after taking a few steps and turns around to you again. “This conversation isn’t over though. Once you’re feeling better we really need to talk about this so I know how to help you, moving forward. And maybe talk about what YOU’D like to do to help yourself too... if that’s okay.”

You sigh, knowing that you’d have to talk about it eventually, but you smile slightly as he eased back a little at the end of his statement, giving you more freedom to choose to help yourself rather than forcibly receive it.

“I know,” you sigh, nervous at the thought of having to speak about things that were on your mind or going on in your life.

He notices your blank, far-off stare and walks back over to you, ruffling your hair a bit as his hand sits at the crown of your head.

“You’re gonna be alright. Don’t overthink it,” he reassures you, and with one last ruffle to your hair, he disappears into the kitchen.

It was reassuring knowing that Dabi was watching out for you in a way that you knew your other friends couldn’t.

Dabi was cold, and refused to show care for the people in his life most of the time, but in the rare case when he did show his caring side, you knew it was genuine. For once, you looked forward to a day when you wouldn’t be trapped in your negative thoughts with no way out aside from harming yourself. One day you’d be able to cope with your feelings in a more productive way, you were sure of it. But you knew it wouldn’t happen over-night. Many difficult days lie ahead, but you knew you’d have to face them, and now that Dabi knew that was going on in your head, maybe it would make things a little easier.

you’re great and you know it - your family comes to one of his shows, and he meets them for the first time. 

you rarely get to see your family. you started touring when you were 19, and you spent every summer in college on tour. when you started touring, your first job was to help set up the stage. you made sure that each speaker was in place on its marker, and then after each show, you helped the crew strike the stage. you did this all summer, and you made enough money to pay off some of your college tuition.

eventually, before your 4th year of college, you needed to complete a stage management internship in order to receive your bachelor of fine arts in stage management. you applied to intern at a touring company recommended by the stage manager from one of your previous tours. somehow, you ended up on Harry Styles: Live on Tour. your job on this tour was as a backstage manager. you set up the dressing rooms and made sure each of the musicians had everything they wanted before each show. you spent a lot of time running errands to get snacks for the artists. you rarely got to see the band since you set up long before they arrived at the arena and tore down after they had already left.

one night, Harry stayed a little longer at the arena than he usually did, and you got to know each other. ever since then, you had both been super close. he stayed in your small hotel room every night, just because he tended to get lonely in his big room by himself, and it was nice to have someone to talk to. you hung out and made snack runs ever night in the hotel gift shop while he showered and got in his comfy clothes. when you got back, you would do the same while he made himself comfy on your bed finding a random movie on tv.

soon after that started, you started to become more than friends, and then eventually you made it official just between the both of you. you hadn’t had the chance to tell your family, but you weren’t sure if this was just a fling while you were both on tour. you didn’t know what would happen after the tour ended so you spared yourself the heartbreak of having to tell your parents that it was over. the less they knew, the better it was for everyone.

you hadn’t even considered telling your parents until they called and asked if there was anyway they could visit you during one of the shows that was near your hometown. you were kinda surprised by them wanting to come to a show. you had just expected to grab dinner with them when you were in town, not take them to work with you. of course, harry, the overeager boyfriend who wanted to do overly nice things for his independent “i don’t need anything-im fine-please don’t buy that for me-i love you regardless” type girlfriend, offered to set your family (FAMILY not just parents, ‘yes the cousins could come too’) up in a VIP box. you obviously declined and attempted to find resale tickets that wouldn’t burn a hole in your pocket on StubHub. with no luck (Harry even helped you look because he knew you were going to be stubborn about this), he offered again. you accepted and told your parents that your boss was very generous and gave them a box to stay in for the show.

             “how do i look?”

             “haz, you look great,” you say running your hand down one of the lapels on his jacket. “i really like this suit.”

             he turned back to the mirror. “mmhm, that’s what you said last show.” he gave you a pointed look.

             you met his eyes in the mirror, and you threw your arms around his waist. “what? can you blame me? each suit is better than the last. i love them all.”

             “yeah,” he murmured before throwing an arm around you. “i suppose you have a point.”

             you pull him to face you slipping your arms completely around his waist. “what’s got you so bugged out? i’ve never seen you second guess yourself this much.”

             he wrapped his arms around you. “suppose ‘m just a bit nervous. i just want to make a good first impression.”

             “haz, don’t worry about it.” you place your hands on each side of his head. “they’re gonna love you. i mean, they already love you. they just don’t know that you’re my boyfriend.”

             “yeah, i guess so.” he rubbed his hands over your arms mindlessly.

             “yeah, you’re gonna kick ass. just like you always do, right?” you said trying to get him to meet your eyes. you bend your head into his line of sight. “right?”

             he met your gaze. “right.” he pulls you into a tighter embrace, and you rest your head on his chest.

             you both rest like that for a minute before he finally speaks up again. “is that my sweatshirt?”

             you look down to the black merch sweatshirt that you pulled from his bag this morning. “yeah, it is.”

             “rude.”

             at 6, you met your parents, brother, aunt and cousin at VIP entrance. you chatted with the staff while they received their badges. once they got in, your cousin practically tackled you in a hug.

             you both laugh and exchanged “i missed you”s before you gave both of your parents, brother, and aunt a hug.

             “how are you? are you sleeping? eating?” your mother starts fussing over you.

             you gently pull her hands from your face. “yes mom. i’m doing fine. i’m sleeping and eating.”

             “good, good.” she finally let you go.

             “do you want to stop at a merch table before we go up? it’s less crowded now.” you said pointing to the nearest table.

you mom and aunt spent the next half hour at the merch table looking at all of the different options before deciding on a sweatshirt similar to the one you were wearing while your cousin bought the signature black “treat people with kindness” shirt. after that exhausting trip the merch table, you led them upstairs to the VIP box. after showing the staff member your crew member badge and your family’s badges, you were able to enter your suite.

             “wow, you’re boss is very generous,” your dad said. he hadn’t been to a concert in so long. you were excited that he was here.

you awkwardly scratch the back of your neck after he mentioned your boss. you try to ignore the fact that “your boss” that you told them about was actually your boyfriend that you hadn’t told them about.

             “umm, yeah. he’s great. super nice.” you said taking a seat at one of the bar stools next to your dad.

your mom took a seat next to your dad as you all chatted and caught up. your aunt soon followed sitting on your other side. your cousin and brother wandered out to the seats that were outside your box. you watched them make conversation pointing out all the things on the stage and watching the crew and staff wander about the arena. “i have something to tell you guys,” you say to your parents and aunt in a semi-serious tone. you were finally going to tell them about harry.

             their conversations halts. “oh my god.” your mom gasped covering her hand over her mouth.

             “YOU’RE PREGNANT,” your aunt shouted as your parents went wide-eyed at you.

             you jolted back in shock. “oh my god, no.”

             everyone let out a breath. “thank god.” your mom dropped her hand to her heart. “you scared me for a second. i’m not ready to be a grandma.”

             you roll your eyes at your dramatic mother. “what is it?” you dad calmly asked leaning to look at you.

             “i’m actually seeing someone right now,” you finally let out.

             “oh,” your mom said shocked. you hadn’t had a boyfriend for a while. “is he on tour with you?”

             you nod. “do you want to meet him?” you ask looking up at your family.

             “absolutely,” you aunt answered for your parents. “text him.” she grabbed your arm that was holding your phone and shook it. “text him. have him come up here.”

             you laugh. “he’s busy right now. he’s getting ready for the show.”

             your mom and aunt lean back in their seats. “oh,” your aunt said in a suggestive tone.

             “oh,” your mom repeated looking at your aunt.

             “is he in the band?” you aunt asked like it was a secret.

             you laughed. “kinda?”

             “damn girl, good for you,” your cousin shouted from the doorway. your whole family laughed along with you.

you slyly sent harry a text.

             “haz, they are so excited.”

           “good, i can’t wait to meet them.”

harry was phenomenal. he floated across the stage without a care in the world, confident as ever. he was amazing, and you were so proud of him.

you aunt turned to you expressing how impressed she was of him. throughout the show, you and your cousin danced and sang along to the music. you had a blast, and you were so glad your family was there with you.

at the end of kiwi, Harry looked up at your suite and blew a kiss in your direction. you smiled down at him with a hand over your heart. you shrieked and cheered loudly for him. you looked like a mad woman, and your family laughed at you. you didn’t care because your eyes were on your man. you caught him laughing at you before he turned his attention to the rest of the crowd. Sarah and Mitch waved to you as they moved to take their bows with Harry. You waved back at them laughing as you clutched to the railing that enclosed you in your box. you loved your tour family just as much as you love your actual family. 

when they finally left the stage, you helped your family pack up their stuff.

             “are we going backstage?” your cousin asked.

             “yeah,” you nodded your head. “is everyone ready? we are gonna take the back way to the backstage so you have to stick with me.”

             “yes, let’s go,” your mother said gesturing toward the door. it was getting a little late for your parents, but they wanted to meet your boyfriend. you sent him a warning text to let him know you were on your way to him.

you led them down to the backstage area. you passed through all of the guarded security check points with your badge. your cousin and brother were amazed at everything. they were pointing at everything and had to make a comment about it. you rolled your eyes at them. they could be goofballs sometimes.

when you reached the dressing room area, you turned to your parents.

             “so he’s in here,” you point to the door of Harry’s dressing room. “are you ready to go in?”

             “yes, let’s go,” you mom waved at the door.

you knocked twice before opening the door. you peaked your head inside to make sure he was still dressed before fully opening it. Harry was standing next to his suit rack hanging up his jacket.

             “hi,” you waved entering the room with your family following.

             he turned to you. “hey,” he greeted before pulling you into a hug. he finally looked up at your shocked family. “hi, (y/n)’s family.” he gave them a small wave.

             “holy shit,” you cousin whispered.

             you turned to your family with Harry’s arm still around you. “so this is Harry, my-uh-boyfriend.” you gestured to him. “Harry, these are my parents, aunt, brother, and cousin,” you said pointing out each of your family members.

             “hi, nice to meet all of you,” he said shaking each of their hands. “would you like to take a seat.” he offered gesturing to the sofas that were in his dressing room.

they all took a seat and began to gush about how much they loved the show. they asked you both question after question about your relationship as you leaned into his side with his arm still wrapped around your shoulder.

he looked down at you, and you smiled looking up at him. it was a good day.

later that night, as the two of you curled up in your hotel bed, you placed both hands on his face and stared into his eyes while he held you close.

             “see i told you.”

             “hmmm?” he hummed tiredly.

             “you’re great, and you know it.”

Kota Chapter 30: Bombs Away

It wasn't easy to line their schedules up, but eventually Marinette managed to meet up with Fu to discuss relaxing techniques.

They met right after school, but it was already late afternoon by the time they were finishing up. If Marinette hadn't promised to meet up with Alya, she would have stayed even longer. But after cancelling two study sessions because of akuma attacks, Marinette didn't want to stand Alya up again.

Still, there was something she needed to say first.

"There is one thing I'd like to talk to you about," Marinette said.

"Yes?"

"It's about the temporary heroes," Marinette said. "Im starting to think we should be trusting them more."

Fu hmmed thoughtfully. "They have proven to be trustworthy. However, I do not know if it is safe to trust them with anymore. Putting more miraculous out in permanent use isn't safe."

"No, but there are other things we could do," Marinette said. "We don't have to give them their miraculouses permanently, but we can lend them out - give them some time to talk to their kwami, maybe bring them on a patrol so they can learn how to use their powers in a situation that isn't a battle."

"An interesting idea," Fu admitted.

"I was thinking of starting with Rena and Carapace - If that's okay with you, of course. But I want to give everyone a chance - except for maybe Kagami. Since Hawkmoth knows her identity, it might be too dangerous."

"If you think it is wise, I'll go along with it," Fu said. "I'm sure I can live a few days without Wayzz."

"Great!" Marinette said. "I'll come by tomorrow to pick them up!"

An akuma attack that night forced her to bring out the miraculouses a lot earlier.

The akuma called himself Ghost - according to his monologue, he had been stood up on a date. His powers included phasing through objects, flight, and shooting love potions grenades that made you fall in love with the first person you saw after being hit.

Chat Noir had been hit, but since he already had a huge (and sometimes annoying) crush on Ladybug, he didn't show any signs of being affected. Still, Ladybug decided having a few more allies was a good idea.

Carapace and Rena Rouge were her first choices. Not only did they have the experience to not be hit, but they had the same safety net as Chat Noir. Ladybug debated grabbing Alix, thinking that perhaps her being aromantic would keep her from being affected. On the other hand, if she never had a crush before, a magically-induced one might be twice as distracting.

Ladybug also considered Kota. She was a romantic, and had self-proclaimed herself someone who crushed easily, so there was a good chance she could focus through the effects of the love potion. But Lacy had been strangely out of it through out the school day, maybe it wasn't a good idea.

"It's your decision," Tikki said when Marinette relayed her thought process to her.

When Fu opened the miracle box, Marinette grabbed the fox and rooster and asked for the turtle.

"And will you be leaving the miraculouses with Rena and Carapace?" Fu asked.

"Yes," Marinette confirmed.

"I hope you know what you're doing."

"Me too."

It was the middle of the night, so Ladybug ended up having to wake up Alya, Nino, and Lacy (she was starting to suspect that Lacy never slept, and was glad to be proven wrong.)

Chat Noir was waiting for them on the rooftop, with a rose for Ladybug. Ladybug ignored him, and instead filled the other superheroes in on the plan.

Well, it wasn't a plan. More like a general idea.

Ghost was terrorizing a small apartment building, flying in front bedroom windows and startling the people inside. In a dark gray suit and butterfly mask, the akumatized object - a blood red rose in his chest pocket - was obvious.

Rena Rouge dropped onto the street behind Ghost and casted her mirage.

Ladybug watched her sorta-plan unfold, sparing minimum attention to Chat Noir's frequent flower-bringing.

Maybe the potion was having a stronger effect than Ladybug originally thought.

Ladybug swung from her perch across the street to the apartment building, landing on the roof just in time to see Ghost raise his arms to aim two potions at the mirage. She jumped, wrapping her yo-yo around Ghost's arms and yanking him to the ground.

Ghost was halfway there before he went intangible, phasing out of the yo-yo strings. He aimed a potion at Ladybug, but Carapace jumped in front of it and it bounced harmlessly off his shield.

Ghost turned tangible again and dove for Ladybug, but Kota jumped onto his back. The forced caused Ghost to fly into the concrete, sending him and Kota tumbling.

Kota was back on her feet in seconds, but couldn't dodge the potion as it hit her.

Ladybug grimaced. This was not going well.

"Lucky charm!"

She reached for her lucky charm, and the action forced her to drop her guard. Ghost launched another love potion, and Ladybug abandoned the lucky charm to reach for her yo-yo.

The potion would have hit her if Kota didn't jump in front, using her kite to knock the potion back.

"Thanks," Ladybug said, picking her lucky charm off the ground.

Kota flashed her a smile before Ghost forced her back on the defensive.

Ladybug watched the fight, keeping her eyes out for what she needed for this lucky charm. Very slowly, a plan started to form.

"Rena, I'm going to need your help."

It wasn't until after Ladybug and Kota landed in Lacy's apartment that Ladybug realized something.

"Did the love potion not affect you?" Ladybug asked when Kota had detransformed.

Lacy dig a granola bar out of her desk and opened it for her kwami.

"I guess not," she replied, handing the bar to Orikko.

"Course it didn't," Orikko said, mouth full. "Considering who your mom is."

"Your mom?" Ladybug asked.

"Oh, um, it's nothing," Lacy stuttered.

Ladybug frowned. As far as she knew, Lacy didn't talk about her mom at all. Whenever the topic came up, she usually mentioned Elisabeth, and most of the class was probably under the impression that Elisabeth was her biological mother. If Lacy's mother was important - maybe even magical, considering the context - Ladybug wanted to know, but if she didn't want to talk about it...

Orikko also seemed to decide to respect Lacy's privacy, because he didn't mention it again. Instead, he landed on Lacy's desk and started looking through a fresh batch of photos she had printed.

"Thank you for your help tonight," Ladybug said. "I know these late-night akumas are horrible."

"It's not that bad, with the rooster miraculous," Lacy replied with a shrug. "Must be rough on you and Chat though."

"Ugh, yeah," Ladybug agreed. "I'm starting to think Hawkmoth doesn't sleep."

Orikko finished his granola bar, and Lacy handed the miraculous over.

"Hope you still have time to sleep," she said.

"That depends on if there's another akuma," Ladybug said. "Sleep well."

Lacy yawned and waved goodbye, and Ladybug swung away.

Carapace and Rena Rouge were waiting for Ladybug on the rooftop of the apartment building Ghost had attacked. They were cuddling together when Ladybug landed.

"Ladybug!" Rena Rouge jumped on to her feet, blushing. Carapace followed suit. "You, uh, said you wanted to talk to us."

"Yes," Ladybug confirmed. "The two of you have proven yourself as useful allies, and I think it's time you took the next step forward."

"Are you letting us keep our miraculouses?" Rena Rouge said, face brightening.

"Not permanently," Ladybug replied. "At least, not yet. But I want you to have them for a few days. Get to know your kwamis a little better. Maybe learn a thing or two about your miraculous. In a few days, I'll still take them back, and it will be harder once you've spent time with your kwamis, but I think this is the right thing to do."

"Thank you!"

"We won't let you down."

"Trixx, let's rest."

Alya collapsed on her bed, watching as Trixx flew around her room. She couldn't believe it -she would have a whole couple days with her miraculous!

I wonder if Ladybug would mind if transformed without an akuma around?

As Trixx sniffed and investigated Alya's room, Alya sent Nino an orange heart emoji - her code for getting home safe after an akuma. A second later, he replied with a green heart. Satisfied, Alya locked her phone and plugged it in.

That brought her attention back to Trixx.

"I have so many questions," Alya blurted.

"I'm sure you do, pup," Trixx replied.

"What were the other fox heroes like?" Alya questioned. "I bet they were awesome rogues, tricksters, thieves - but with secret hearts of gold that earned them their miraculouses."

Trixx scoffed. "Sure, pup. Rogues and thieves could definitely be trusted not to abuse a miraculous of illusion."

Alya frowned. "That's a good point. But does that mean fox heroes are usually the opposite - people dedicate to the truth?"

"You're a good fox hero," Trixx said. "What category do you fall in?"

"I'm dedicated to the truth!" Alya declared. "Though I've been told I'm pretty gullible too."

"Yes, because the average 14-year-old is smart enough to know instantly when they're fooled," Trixx droned. "You're young, of course you're gullible. It's not necessarily a bad thing."

Trixx finished flying around the room and settled on Alya's laptop, like a cat seeking out the warmest place in the room. They curled up like a croissant.

"Next question?"

Alya tumbled for a moment before digging out her ultra-secret notebook and opening to the page where she had written down questions for Trixx and/or Ladybug.

"Why is the ladybug miraculous the only one who can purify the akumas?"

"I don't know the specifics," Trixx admitted. "Save the question for Ladybug."

Alya made a note and moved on. "Okay. Do miraculouses have any affect on dreams?"

"Not in the way you mean," Trixx replied.

"Huh?"

"I'm not an expert on dreams," Trixx explained. "But I'm pretty sure everything you encounter can affect your dreams, but there's no magical side effect - at least not with mine."

"Oh."

"If you're having magical dreams, it's probably hereditary," Trixx said. "You do have a magic smell around you."

"A what?" Alya asked.

"That's all I can say," Trixx said. "Your parents would know."

Alya scribbled a note to ask her parents later - because magic? - before continuing on.

"So it's possible that I could dream a memory of something," Alya pressed. "Like one of the past fox heroes?"

"Yes," Trixx agreed.

"Interesting."

Alya made a note and yawned.

"Tired?" Trixx questioned.

"No," Alya lied.

"Good," Trixx said. "It would be a shame if my new pup could tire out only after - oh, what was that, an entire battle? In the middle of the night? On a school night? After probably staying up late working on schoolwork or whatever teenagers do nowadays."

Alya yawned again. "Okay, maybe I am tired. But I have so many questions! Are there any side effects I might experience? I already think my hearing has improved, but Nino says I'm just imagining it."

"You're just imagining it."

"Am not!" Alya argued.

"Well, there you go," Trixx answered. "Your hearing and other sense might improve. You could gain night vision. You also might start screaming around Carapace."

"Screaming?"

"It's a fox's mating call," Trixx said. "Try not to do it public - people may stare."

"No kidding," Alya said. "What about turtles? Is Nino going to start doing weird mating calls?"

"I don't know," Trixx admitted. "Something to ask Wayzz - the turtle kwami."

Alya made a note and yawned again. "Alright, we'll continue this in the morning. Anything I need to get for you?"

"I'm good for now," Trixx said. "I'll need food in the morning, and someplace to hide during the school day, like a backpack."

"Okay," Alya said. "What type of food? My mom keeps our pantries full."

"You figure it out", Trixx said. "Night, pup."

"Goodnight."

Trixx clearly didn't like any of the food Alya offered - even the things that foxes were supposed to eat - but still ate their full. They had no problem hiding in her book bag, snuggling up next to some of her hygiene stuff. Alya had read that foxes were nocturnal, so she expected Trixx to sleep throughout the day.

Alya hadn't noticed it the night before, but her miraculous had changed from a fox tail to an orange heart with a white center. She had planned on figuring out how to hide it, but with the change there was no need.

She was the first in her group of friends to arrive to class, though the other side of the classroom was bustling with activity. Sabrina and Chloe were talking animatedly, Kim and Ivan were arguing, and Lacy, Alix, and Nathaniel were huddled together in the back whispering. Alya hesitated, wondering which conversation she was most curious about.

Max ended up breaking up the argument, so Alya headed towards the back to find out what had her classmates whispering.

"It's nothing," Lacy said, way too fast, when Alya asked.

Alya narrowed her eyes. "Is that so?"

"What she meant was it's none of your business," Alix said with a scowl.

"I'm just curious," Alya defended.

Alix rolled her eyes. "Aren't you always."

Marinette bursted through the door, looking disheveled, so Alya went to help her. But she wasn't giving up.

"You okay, girl?" Alya asked, sliding into her seat.

Marinette popped down in hers. "I had a horrible dream last night! I overslept, and missed the whole day of school, and Bustier got so mad that she said I'd have to repeat the grade-"

"Sounds scary."

"I could not get here soon enough," Marinette said. "I guess it's kinda silly."

"Nah," Alya replied. "There's always those few minutes after a dream where it feels real. Besides, it got you to class five minutes earlier than usual!"

"Morning!"

Adrien and Nino walked in, Adrien flashing his bright model smile at them and Nino stifling a yawn.

"Morning," Alya replied.

"Morning," Marinette squeaked.

"Did you hear about the akuma attack last night?" Adrien asked. "The love one?"

"Yeah, Ghost, right?" Alya asked.

"Kept me up all night," Nino complained.

Adrien gave him a curious look but didn't argue. Alya figured Adrien was well aware that the akuma hadn't kept Nino up - maybe he knew that the akuma hadn't lasted that long, or saw Nino's icon on whatever online thing had kept him up all night.

(Then again, Nino might have been too occupied with Wayzz to be online.)

"Have you checked your phone?" Nino asked.

Alya raised an eyebrow. She rarely missed notifications on her phone, but Nino's tone of voice implied he sent her something and she hadn't seen anything from him.

She dug her phone out of her bookbag, not surprised to see Trixx had fallen asleep. Her phone had a text notification from Nino.

Alya grinned. Thank you, Wayzz.

Marinette searched her bag and her locker with no luck.

"I can't believe I lost my notebook!" She complained.

"I'm sure you'll find it," Tikki reassured her. "Didn't you leave a notebook on the table at breakfast?"

"No, that was my other notebook," Marinette said.

"What about the notebook you left on the balcony?"

"No, that's the other notebook," Marinette corrected. "The designs I need are only in this one."

"Wait, didn't you lend Alya a notebook?"

"No, that's my school notebook," Marinette said. "I know! I left it in the art room."

She closed her locker and headed up to the art room, which was fairly full for a room of that size. Three students from a different class were huddled around one table, whispering while eating lunch and planning some project. On the other side of the room, Lacy, Alix, Nathaniel, and Marc were hunched over something.

"Hey!" Alix greeted, waving at Marinette.

"Hello," Marinette replied, before going to the desk she remember putting her notebook on.

She found it under a couple of papers, untouched. Marinette slipped it in her bag, noticing one of the other students glaring at her as she did so.

"Don't mind them."

Lacy slid next to her, talking softly.

"They're in Lila's new class," she explained. "She's pulling her usual stunts."

Marinette glanced at the students, feeling almost sorry for them.

"Maybe we should warn them," she suggested.

"Alix tried," Lacy replied. "They didn't listen."

Marinette sighed. "I thought we were done with Lila."

"You could be," Lacy said. "I mean, you're right to want to warn them and all, but she doesn't have to be your problem now. She's really hurt you, so take your time and recover."

"I don't know," Marinette replied. "I've never been good at letting things go."

"And that's what makes you our everyday Ladybug," Lacy said. "But resting doesn't mean letting it go or ignoring it forever. Just focus on something else for a while."

"You're right. I've got enough problems as is."

Her statement was further proved by the akuma alert going off.

Ladybug didn't get instant gratification a lot, but seeing that Rena Rouge and Carapace had not just beaten her and Chat Noir to the battle, but had already began getting citizens out of the way, did give her that feeling.

We've needed this.

Rena Rouge noticed Ladybug first. She glanced at Carapace, and the two heroes exchanged a silent conversation. Carapace moved to cover Rena Rouge as she joined Ladybug on the rooftop.

Chat Noir landed on the rooftop a second later.

"It's a tough one," Rena Rouge reported. "He calls himself Bombarder, and he causes explosions. As far as we can figure out, there's no way to stop the explosion."

Ladybug glanced down at the street, where Carapace was shielding a few citizens as a building exploded. The debris flew towards their rooftop, and Ladybug whirled her yo-yo to block.

"Big explosions too," Ladybug noted. "Any idea where the akuma is?"

Rena Rouge shook her head.

"Great."

Ladybug looked Bombarder over. The majority of his outfit was done in blacks and dark grays, with yellow accents. He had black ankle boots, tight dark gray pants, and a long, short sleeved tunic-like shirt with a yellow sash. The sleeves of his tunic were jagged with yellow edges. His black hair stood up on edge, with yellow tips, and a yellow butterfly mask covered the top of his face. Black stripes covered one of his arms, which stood out against his dark gray skin.

"Maybe it's in his sash," Ladybug figured.

"You don't sound sure," Chat Noir said.

"I'm not," Ladybug confirmed. "We're going to need a lot of help with this one. I think we need everyone."

Chat Noir nodded. "Agreed."

"Rena, can you and Carapace keep Bombarder occupied? Chat, I'll need your help getting everyone. Meet me on top of the hotel."

By the time all the heroes were gathered on the same rooftop, Carapace had been forced to use his shelter and recharge, leaving Rena Rouge fighting Bombarder alone. She couldn't protect bystanders as well as Carapace, but she had no problem dodging Bombarder's attacks.

Ladybug had gathered Viperion, Roi Singe, and Kota While Chat Noir found Ryuko, Queen Bee, and Pegasus. Chat Noir and Queen Bee were the last to arrive.

For a moment, Ladybug wondered if Chat Noir had given the bee miraculous to someone else. If she didn't trust her partner so much, she would have believed it.

Queen Bee looked different.

She now had her hair mostly loose, the sides braided back like a crown and striped black. The circlet continued with a metal piece resting on her forehead. She had a black top that almost looked like a chest plate that covered her shoulders, and came down to her mid-stomach. Two yellow stripes lined her neck, like large necklaces, and the she had a yellow under-shirt that covered her arms and the rest of her stomach. She had a black belt and yellow pants with black stripes, black hexagonal knee-pads, and - was that a pocket? Her shiny black boots covered her ankles, and she wore elbow pads that matched her knees. She wore black gloves and black lipstick, and her mask was solid yellow with a black border.

"Why does she get pockets?" Ladybug wondered allowed. She wished she had said something a little more professional, but she wanted pockets.

"I don't know," Queen Bee admitted. "But it feels nice to be back. Thank you, Ladybug."

"Wait, you're Chl- Queen Bee?" Roi Singe asked. "You look totally different! Super cool!"

"I also want pockets," Ryuko commented.

"You look so pretty," Kota said.

"Do you two seriously not have pockets?" Viperion asked.

"Shouldn't we be focusing?" Carapace questioned. "Rena's down there by herself."

"You're right," Ladybug said. I'll talk to a Tikki about pockets later. "Okay, so I've thought about it, and I believe that the akuma will be in something small - something we can't reach easily. Queen Bee, you'll need to use your powers to freeze him."

"You can count on me," Queen Bee said.

"Carapace, stay on the lookout for bystanders," Ladybug said. "We want to minimize risk as much as possible. Kota, Ryuko, you're the most agile of us - you'll be doing what Rena is doing right now. Viperion, do your thing. Pegasus, I want you to help me with a trap - we're sending Bombarder away from citizens."

"To the arena?" Pegasus assumed.

"Yes," Ladybug confirmed. "Chat Noir, Roi Singe, you two will wait for him there to pick up from Ryuko and Kota. Carapace, I want you to follow Bombarder through the portal if you haven't use your power yet, and cast a shelter around the arena. Queen Bee, you'll also have to be at the arena already. Kota, I'll be trusting you to make sure Rena gets out safely as well. Alright, go!"

Chat Noir, Roi Singe, and Queen Bee headed towards the stadium. Kota and Ryuko charged at Bombarder, Ryuko landing a solid hit with her sword. Carapace and Viperion found a rooftop with a good view, and Pegasus hung back with Ladybug.

Kota deflected debris with her shield as the building behind Rena Rouge exploded. Ryuko engaged Bombarder, giving Kota time to usher Rena Rouge away. When she was close enough, Ladybug used her yo-yo to bring her up to the rooftop.

"You okay?" Ladybug asked.

"I'm fine," Rena Rouge said. "I could go another couple minutes. The buildings on the street, not so much."

"Good, because I'm going to need your help."

The trap worked perfectly. Bombarder didn't even realize there was a portal until he was on the other side of it.

Viperion, Rena Rouge, and Pegasus all needed to recharge, and Kota had been thrown several blocks away, but the rest of the heroes followed him in. Chat Noir and Roi Singe immediately attacked, both whacking him with their baton and staff. Carapace called for a shelter.

Ladybug landed on the bleachers, keeping an eye on the fight so she could intervene if needed.

"Lucky charm!"

A pillow fell into Ladybug's arm.

"It's a repeat," Queen Bee noted.

Ladybug didn't respond - she was already coming up with a plan.

"Be ready to go," she warned Queen Bee. "Hey, bomb guy! Explode this!"

With as much force as she had, Ladybug threw the pillow at Bombarder. Halfway there, the pillow exploded.

And a bunch of feathers engulfed Bombarder.

Queen Bee moved fast, launching herself off of the bleachers and whipping her top at Bombarder.

"Venom!"

The top smacked into Bombarder, freezing him into place.

"Nice one, Queen Bee!" Roi Singe called.

Ladybug and Queen Bee joined them on the field. Bombarder has frozen with his wrists bent, and Ladybug could see that the black stripes were actually ribbons that attached to a bracelet near his gloves.

"Alright, kitty, I need your claws."

Chat Noir swiped through the ribbons, shredding them easily, and a butterfly flew out. Carapace dropped the shelter, and Kota and Viperion joined them a second later.

Rena Rouge landed behind the heroes just as Ladybug released the butterfly, and Pegasus arrived seconds later.

"Pound it!"

Ladybug looked over her team. It was the first time they had all been together, and she suddenly realized the potential they had, as a team.

But they never really had a chance to work as a team, and that needed to change.

"I'm sure," Marinette replied.

"Okay," Fu agreed. "Let's do it."

let’s say you’re a college student

and you love to volunteer places in your free time cause you live like this

everyone knows that you volunteer places but never stay volunteering at one place for too long

cause you like to explore and see what you like

and this week you decide to volunteer at a pet store near your dorm cause!! you love animals

so when you first go in youre in awe because wow! these animals are super cute fat uwu

you walk up to a worker to ask where you can sign up for volunteer hours

and this worker looked a little surprised cause no one really volunteers

this worker was kind of cute....... just saying

anyone with eyes would agree

but anywho

so he goes into this office thingy and gives you this paper which you could fill out and start volunteering the next day

and you take a look at his name tag and it says ‘kun’

when you’re done filling the paper you’re all like, ‘thanks kun! the name’s y/n! i’ll see you tomorrow!’ :)

he gives you a smile and you melt and then blush 

you hope he didn’t see you blushing cause it was pretty intense

but he did

he found it endearing cause you’re cute too

so anyway it’s the next day

and you come into the shop at around 1 pm so you aren’t really early but you aren’t late either

when you go in you’re greeted by kun who probably saw you walking to the door

he hands you an apron and told you that you could feed the animals, the food is in the back

ALRIGHT YALL IM FINALLY READY TO FACE MY EMOTIONS AND WRITE THIS OUT!!! It’s mostly for myself because it was honestly the best night/concert of my life and the more time passes the more I’m gonna struggle remembering SO HERE GOES WOOOO (very very long mess of words BRACE YOURSELVES)

BEFORE (4am-5pm)

SO I actually managed to get up at 4am and I didn’t get much sleep anyway because I was so damn nervous BUT we got ready, ate some breakfast, and managed to leave my house by 6am! We took all the public transport we needed and walked to Terminal 5 and my friend and I were ahead of everyone else and once we were close a huge sea of people wearing rose quartz serenity appeared outta nowhere in the corner. WE WERE LIKE SHIT HOW DID PEOPLE GET HERE EARLIER THAN US YALL DEDICATED and they immediately separated us into our different sections so our friend group split up and I was in VVIP with 3 other friends.

We had a really good spot in line until a group of people who camped out the night before (SOME EVEN SINCE FRIDAY LIKE YALL CHILL PLS ITS ILLEGAL AND UGH) so they got priority in line and I was so freaking angry BUT YA KNOW WHAT MY NIGHT ENDED UP BEING GREAT SO DFLJKGH ITS ALL GOOD

We waited in line outside until 11am blasting music and dancing! Some people even recognized me from KCON and I was like UMMM HELLO??? They recognized me from my hair and now I feel like I should never change my hair color ever again LOL BUT THAT WAS COOL IM HAPPY TO GIVE HARU MORE RECOGNITION THRU MY HAIR WEE WOO

So at 11am we were moved to the rooftop and stayed there until the hi touch! It was pretty fun for the first half up until let’s day 3:30-4pm ish??? we were jamming to songs and singing svt while they were doing soundcheck right below us and THEY COULD HEAR US WOW AND one of the MMT staff (I think I heard her name was Jaylee but imma just say J) filmed us cheering for svt and shit camille and i were in the bathroom and suddenly everyone started screaming so i ran out and someone told me scoups said hi LOL SO MAH GIRL AND I WERE DANCING BY THE BATHROOMS WILDLY AND WOO we made svt laugh thats fun! my friends and i also played kpop charades/heads up to pass the time and i did 5 rounds in a row just to get cherry bomb but i NEVER GOT IT AND IM SAD BUT OH WELL

When we only had like an hour or so left it was the longest hour of our lives omg the sun was blasting its full rays on us and it was just the tail end of endless waiting that we had to endure because everything after this went by in a breeze OHOHOHO

HI-TOUCH (5pm)

ALRIGHT THIS IS WHERE IT ALL BEGINS!!! So once we started lining up and walked down the stairs my heart began to race and it finally hit me that it’s actually happening and i’m seeing svt up close AH. They had a box to drop off fan gifts on the way so I’m happy I got to pass along to Jun the Hui Hui plushie that I made! I wish I took a picture of it beforehand but I forgot ;-; 

NOW ONTO THE ACTUAL HI TOUCH!! Thanks to my lovely HARU peeps who have a much better memory than me the official order was: minghao, vernon, hosh, jun, jeonghan, jihoon, seungkwan, dino, wonwoo, dk, scoups, josh, and mingyu. SO NO ONE EXPECTED MINGHAO TO BE FIRST AND SHIT MINGHAO SHOOK ME SO HARD HE’S SO HOT IN PERSON MY HAND WAS SHAKING AS I LIFTED IT UP. To Vernon I said YO VERNON WHATS UP and he was like YEEAHHH wow vernon is so much more handsome and chiseled in person goddamn every angle in his face can cut mE. SEEING HOSH’S 10:10 EYE SMILE UP CLOSE WAS THE BEST AND HE LEANED AGAINST THE BARRIER LIKE WOW HELLO 

When I got to Jun hoh mah gah how does he exist his hair looked so soft and fluffy and YALL HIS 60 DEGREE NOSE DESERVES ITS OWN MUSEUM ITS SO BEAUTIFUL JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER FEATURE IN HIS FACE AND (WHEEZE) I said “你是My I(爱）” which means “you are my i/love” AND HE JUST STARED AT ME AND THEN LOOKED TO THE NEXT PERSON SO I FELT KINDA EMBARRASSED but at the same time it was really hectic so maybe he didn’t hear me properly or was just overwhelmed or confused I DUNNO BUT GAH ITS OKAY

Okay tbh bc I was so flustered from jun I breezed through jeonghan, woozi, and seungkwan that my memories of them are kinda hazy BUT ONCE I GOT TO DINO I SLOWED DOWN BC ITS DINO YALL PLS STAN THIS TALENTED HUMAN. i don’t remember wonwoo much either bc dino but scoups and dk were the nicest and dk thanked everyone like bless this boy!! I said WHAT UP to scoups and YO WHATS UP JOSH TO JOSH AND MINGYU HELD MY HAND LONGER AND SQUEEZED IT AND WOW THE LATTER HALF WAS SUCH A NICE EXPERIENCE IM SO HAPPY

After hi touch, we entered the floor and we got a really good view of the stage only two people in front of us! BUT THE THING IS THEY WERE HELLA TALL WITH PHONES FILMING THE ENTIRE TIME but that didn’t detract from the amazing time we had! They played most of svt’s mvs like the ones they performed and once don’t wanna cry played at the end the music got louder it got darker AND SO IT BEGINS

WEN JUNHUI STARING INTO MY SOUL

Interactions get their own section because oh mah gah I’m so shook that it actually happened and wow I need to relive these on their own. SO

After the hi touch, I honestly thought shit jun thinks i’m weird omg i should’ve said something else but he kept on looking at me the entire night and i still can’t believe it happened???? I made an exact replica of my kcon ny poster that said ”我爱俊辉“ which means “I love Junhui” and I know for sure he noticed it in the first half of the concert! 

During Highlight, he kept on staring at me during the chorus!!! Like we were on the right side of the stage (Camille and I were like OKAY RIGHT SIDE IS WHERE WE GET THE BEST VERNON AND JUN VIEWS) and every time the chorus came on and he was right in front of me, he literally stared at the me the entire time for all of the choruses!!!! and like I said before i couldn’t even move during highlight so he must’ve seen how shook I was and dfjghsjdklgf oh my god I couldn’t deal like having your bias stare you down the entire night and have you as his “target” is an experience. And his stares are like an experience in itself like they’re kinda sensual in a way with the way he looks at you. dfgjhslgjkhs

DURING MY I, for the second verse during his part HE STARED AT ME AGAIN while minghao was front of him on the ground and holy heck i was so triggered like of all parts it had to be that one and it’s my favorite part of the song because his “yeah” is so freaking cute and hot at the same time dflghsjdg

ALSO WHEN THE MEMBERS DID THEIR TALK RIGHT BEFORE DONT WANNA CRY, I caught him staring at me from across the room!! That sounds so cliche but he was all the way on the left side of the stage at the end of the line. I was looking at the members in front of us but when I turned my head to look at Jun I was surprised to catch eye contact with him like HELLO?!?! All i did in response was smile and then I turned my attention back to the members in front because fdkjlhgjskd I couldn’t man.

BUT MY FAVORITE JUN MOMENT OF THE NIGHT. During the encore some members had cameras that they would film with and Jun had one. So during healing, he came over to our side again and turned the camera towards us. I lifted up my Jun poster high up so it would be in the shot AND WHEN HE TURNED BACK AROUND HE GAVE ME THE BIGGEST AND MOST GENUINE SMILE EVER. Like ya know when he smiles really widely or when he laughs all his teeth are showing and his eye smile and nose scrunches a lil THATS THE SMILE HE GAVE ME AND IT WAS THE BEST MOMENT OF THE NIGHT. I’m so fucking happy all of these things happened with Jun and wow I’m glad I was his target/muse for the night and that I was able to give him happiness. :’)

One of the reasons why Jun is my ultimate bias is because of how into the performance he gets and “gets into character”. His stage presence definitely catches your eye and UGH HE’S JUST SO FREAKING TALENTED AND HIS MOVES ARE SO SHARP IT COULD CUT ME INTO PIECES!!! I LOVE WEN JUNHUI

HONORABLE MENTION: YOON JEONGHAN

OKAY, I knew Jeonghan was gonna wreck me in some way because he’s one of my main wreckers BUT OH MY GOD I DID NOT EXPECT THIS MUCH.

First off during Pretty U, he smiled at me twice at the part when they’re in a circle and Seungkwan does his high note!! The first time was when he was kneeling on the floor and and did the fancy hand arm move things and the second was when he got up to sing his part! I was smiling at him the entire time and wow such a lovely moment.

During the vocal unit stages, I caught him staring at me during We’re Gonna Make it Shine and ugh my god this is only the beginning. During Don’t Wanna Listen in Secret I caught him staring at me again during the chorus and I was also mouthing the lyrics so it’s like I was basically singing along with him AND DFJKGJSD IT WAS SO BEAUTIFUL

BUT WHAT REALLY SHOOK ME AND I CAN NEVER LOOK AT HIM THE SAME WAY EVER AGAIN. During the encore, Jeonghan was drinking water right and since he was in front of me I couldn’t help but look at him. So when we made eye contact HE WIGGLED HIS EYEBROWS AT ME AND HOLY HELL I WAS SO ATTACKED LIKE UM EXCUSE ME SIR I UM DFGKJHS. i was so flustered all I said to Camille after was FUCK YOON JEONGHAN!! he did it while drinking his ater and ugh my god I really think he was lowkey playing with me the entire night and this was the final blow. i’m so wrecked by jeonghan i’m--!!!

DIAMOND EDGE (7pm-9:30pm) [HIGHLIGHT ;) REEL]

Literally the best concert of my life. I’m never going to stop saying this because I know everyone’s really tired because having concerts at every other day is crazy af and jun, wonwoo, and jeonghan looked the most drained. despite this though everyone put on an incredible and breathtaking show. They did a lot of remixes for a bunch of their songs.

PRETTY U WAS THE OPENER AND IT WAS LIKE THAT ONE CHRISTMAS PRETTY STAGE AND IT WAS SO FREAKING CUTE!! Beautiful live was also just a huge bundle of joy to see because the members were joking around and playing with each other onstage like jun and vernon had a bro moment where jun walked past vernon and vernon stuck out his tongue like YEEE BOI hehe

When vocal unit started singing We’re Gonna Make It Shine I literally started to tear because everything was so beautiful and the song has so much meaning to it and WOW IM GETTING REALLY EMOTIONAL JUST THINKING ABOUT IT AGAIN but all of vocal unit’s stages were absolutely breathtaking and hearing their voices and harmonies live damn REASONS WHY THEY’RE MY FAVE UNIT ALSO DK. OMG. THAT BOY IS SO MUCH MORE HANDSOME IN PERSON. And his eyes are so twinkly like I’m convinced actual stars live in his eyes I compared his eyes to Jeonghan and Seungkwan who were beside him and wow his eyes just light up the entire room :’)

HIP HOP UNIT DOE. OH MAH GAH LIT DOESN’T EVEN DESCRIBE HALF OF IT. everyone was so freaking pumped but y’all vernon’s stage presence stood out the most because he was honestly just letting himself go and having the time of his life and feeling the beat and feeling himself LIKE YAAASS BOI U GO. He’s definitely of the top 3 performers of the night HE. IS. SO. GOOD. when he said pretty motherfucker I WAS LIKE FUCK YES AND I MADE EYE CONTACT WITH HIM FOR A BIT FOR PRACTICE WHAT U PREACH BC CAMILLE AND I WERE JUST GOING AWF IN ON THE FLOOR. Also WONWOO!! He didn’t show much emotion(? for lack of a better word) throughout the night and seemed kinda intimidating but there was something about him that made me keep staring at him and wow seeing him for the first time live since we wasn’t at kcon ny last year i was definitely captivated by him. And when we went FUCK YEAH I WAS LIKE DFKJGHJSD YAAASS

ALRIGHT. PERFORMANCE UNIT. H I G H L I G H T.  OH. MY. GOD. OHMYGOD. (omg was amazing too btw dlfjghdsk performance unit is DFKJGDSJKG) I literally could not move while watching Highlight. It’s my second fave svt song after Pretty U and I was in awe. I couldn’t even scream or move (my friend was shook that I was so still and didn’t make a sound LOL) I was so in shock at how beautiful it was in person. As much as I wanted a fancam of it from my perspective i didn’t even dare to reach for my phone let alone look anywhere else because it was such a masterpiece. AND OKAY THEY DID THIS THING WHERE THEY ADDED AT THING AT THE END AND JUN SLOWLY ROTATED HIS HEAD AND WOW HIS ADAM’S APPLE CUT MY PUPILS AND SNATCHED THEIR EDGES HOH MAH. ALSO I’m serious y’all need to stan Dino like everyone that I talked to about Dino they’re like he’s too young. But you can still stan him!!! Romantic feelings are not a requirement to stan people!!! appreciate him for his talent!!! His stage presence and dancing is THE BEST in the group and i’m telling you I call him the child prodigy for a reason. Hoshi and Minghao are AMAZING performers as well and ugh every single person in perf unit is PERFect okay. I’m so thankful I got to see OT4′s version of highlight because it’s absolutely amazing live.

MY I. HOOOOOOOH MAH GOODNESS. THIS SONG. THIS PERFORMANCE. THIS CHOREOGRAPHY. CHINA LINE. EVERYONE STAN CHINA LINE. Again I was in complete awe. I couldn’t move I couldn’t breathe I couldn’t LIVE. The way they smoothly incorporated the ribbon was so beautiful and during the part where jun and minghao do wushu jumps after jun did his thing he was smiling and laughing bc apparently he messed up? I’m not sure my friend said he did but I could’ve sworn I saw him do his jump and i dunno seeing him being so smiley and cute was dkjfhgjdf AND MINGHAO STROKED JUN’S CHEEK AT ONE POINT LIKE WOW AMPLIFIED THE EMOTION OF THE SONG SO MUCH

So the encore was ughhh the cherry on top! I’ve always wanted to get water splashed on me like ya know how the artists get so hyped and ish with the water YEAH IM SO HAPPY MY FIRST TIME WAS WITH SVT. The first time we got splashed was with scoups AND IT GOT IN MY EYE and the second time we were kinda drenched it was beautiful i’m so happy that happened and us jumping along with them during healing was the best experience ever. when they did shining diamond i was so happy to clearly see the part where hosh is in the front and everyone’s leaning on their thighs such an iconic part and considering shining diamond has so much meaning behind it and the song that started it all i’m truly thankful to have seen it its full glory :’)

AND I CAUGHT A BUNCH OF MEMBERS STARING AT MY BONGBONG NEW YORK POSTER DURING THE ENCORE! Like I noticed Vernon and Jeonghan looking at my poster but Seungkwan!!! Seungkwan was the most memorable because it was when he started crying so when he saw my poster he started to cry more AND DFGJHSJ BOO BOO MY HEART. Making that poster stressed me out a lil bit but I’m glad it turned out nicely in the end at that they loved it. :’)

LAST THOUGHTS

Okay this post covers a huge chunk of the night but my entire google doc of my memories has a bunch more. i’m so thankful for seventeen and being a carat and watching them grow. from debut to now, i can’t thank them enough for all the happiness and positivity and hope they’ve given me and i’ll never forget this concert and everything about this day. i will never stop supporting and loving them and i already can’t wait until they come back. thank you seventeen for everything and giving us a phenomenal show. 

we’ll always be your shining diamonds acting as your light whenever things may start to get dark. ♡

The smell of dough, tomato sauce, and cheese danced around in the air. You had always thought that the cheese had this stinking smell to it, but not to the point where you would barf. You were sat on the brown stool near the counter in the seemingly empty pizza parlour that your parents owned. It had been a month since you had started helping them out in delivering pizzas. You were on a three-month break from school and had been asked (correction: forced) to do something useful at the shop.

You sighed for the nth time that evening while scrolling through random apps on your phone.

“If you’re that bored, come help me with these pizzas,” Donghyuck groaned, placing pieces of pepperonis on top of the disc-like dough.

Your eyes stayed glued to the screen as you replied nonchalantly, “Shut up and do your job, Donghyuck.”

You swore you could feel him roll his eyes as he went back to what he was doing. Donghyuck was your cousin. Your parents adored him and saw him as an angel. You didn’t know whether to cry or laugh at that. He was nowhere near to being an angel. He was a devil. Always pulling at your hair, stealing your snacks, teasing you endlessly. What sucked was that you couldn’t do anything about it. Your parents would flip if you harmed their precious Donghyuck. You loved him, of course. He just did more mean than nice things to you, so no one should blame you for doing the same to him.

“Y/N, delivery time,” your mum called from the kitchen. She appeared with two boxes of regulars and settled them on the counter. You watched as she scribbled the address down on a post-it before handing it to you. Giving the note a glance, you shoved it in your pocket and balanced the boxes on both your palms. You had the car keys between your lips, ignoring how unhygienic that was.

“Be back soon,” you called out when you were in the car that was parked out front. After fastening your seatbelt, you punched the address into the GPS and off you went. The sun was only just beginning to set, sending a pomegranate-pink glare through your windshield.

“In 300 metres, turn right. Then, your destination will be on the right,” the usual robotic female speaker announced. You were about to make a right turn when your tires hit something and the car thumped, sending you practically flying up from your seat. “Shit!” you shouted as you lost total control of the vehicle. Grabbing the wheel and slamming on the brakes, the car skidded on the road before coming to a stop. You were so glad there were no cars around to witness this.

You pushed the car door open and stepped out, releasing the breath you didn’t know you were holding. You could feel every pound of your heart, and you were shaking. You were lucky to be free from injuries. Thank God you wore your seatbelt. The car was a totally different story though. The front right tire was completely flat.

Well shit.

You popped the trunk and unfortunately, there wasn’t a spare. You remembered taking it out and throwing it in the garage, complaining that you didn’t have enough space for groceries (and shopping bags, but no one had to know that).

You almost forgot you were here to deliver pizzas. Rushing to the backseats, you grabbed the boxes and basically ran to the large brown and white house. You double-checked the address, obviously.

You rang the doorbell twice, still panting from the unexpected workout. You lifted your black and red cap, smoothing down your hair before putting it back on your head, attempting to look less dishevelled. You heard a, “Coming!”, and a few seconds later, the door opened to reveal a tall blonde male dressed in sweats. Murmurs from the television could be heard from inside, and you saw a glimpse of three other people in the house. This boy standing in front of you, however, looked insanely familiar. And good-looking. You must’ve been staring for too long because he said, “Excuse me?”

You face grew red with embarrassment. “Oh, uh, sorry. Here you go.”

“Don’t I know you from somewhere?” he suddenly spoke, his eyes scanning you like a radar. You knew it! But you just shrugged.

He looked down at the ground before looking back at you again, his eyes all lit up. “I’ve seen you on campus!”

You mouth formed an ‘o’ shape. Was he called Jaeyung? Or was it Jaehyung? Before you could ask, a voice coming from inside interrupted you. “Dude, what’s taking you so long?”

This Jaehyung guy—you assumed—turned his head a little and shouted, “Give me a second.”

“Anyway, $23 please,” you stated. He dug around his pocket and handed you the exact. “See you around,” he smiled a little. You nodded and walked down the steps, only to realise your car tyre was still flat. You felt your jeans pockets for your phone to call your parents—or Donghyuck, only to become aware of the fact that you had left it back at the pizza parlour. Of course you did. The moment when you needed that device the most. Of course it wasn’t with you. You sighed in frustration.

“Are you OK?” the same guy from just now asked. What was he still doing out here? You turned to look at him, face burning from embarrassment the second time since you saw him. He was no longer holding onto the pizza boxes. “Um, it’s no big deal. I just need a phone to call my parents,”—you paused and took a deep breath from talking too fast—“I have a, uh, flat tyre.”

He looked at you in a silly way. “You can use mine.”

You accepted his phone gratefully. The screen lit up and you saw a photo of a girl beaming at the camera. He had his arms wrapped around her. Woah. Of course he had a girlfriend. You’d got to stop it with all the of courses. You excused yourself and started to dial, and someone picked up three rings later.

“What,” Donghyuck said.

“Brat, try sounding a little more friendly,” you frowned.

“Speak for yourself,” he spat. “And what do you want?”

“Why are you answering Dad’s phone? Tell him I have a flat tyre and ask him to come ASAP.”

“OK,” he said, ignoring your first question. “Whose phone are you calling from? You left yours on the counter.”

“Someone. Now hurry up.” You were about to hang up when you remembered. “Oh, and the spare is in the garage.” You heard an audible sigh from the other end of the line as you read out the address to him.

Walking back to Jae-something, you thanked him for lending you his phone. “It’s not a problem. Do you want me to wait out here with you?” he offered.

You shook your head and held up both your hands, palms facing him. “It’s fine. Go hang out with your friends.”

He looked at you hesitantly. “Alright,” he said before disappearing behind the door.

You walked back to your car and sat on the curb near it. Resting your chin on your knees, you watched as a car or two race by you, entirely oblivious to the situation you were in. It wasn’t like you wanted them to notice you, anyway.

The sun had completely sunk by the time your dad—and someone else—arrived. The truck was pulled over behind your car, and your dad stepped out from his seat next to the driver, looking a little more tired than usual. You realised soon that that someone was your uncle, who had so conveniently stopped by the pizza parlour to have dinner.

“You OK, kid?” your dad asked, popping the trunk and lifting out a car tyre. Your uncle gave you a small smile and you waved at him. You rushed over to help your dad, but it looked like he didn’t need any. So you just stood awkwardly beside him, giving him a bashful smile. “Yeah. My car isn’t though.” The slightest whiff of smoke made you turn your head towards the direction of where your uncle was standing. He had a cigarette pinched between his thumb and index finger, his other hand shoved in the pocket of his trousers. You fixed your gaze on your dad again.

“I’ll get this fixed in a jiffy. Why not you get Uncle to drive you back and help Mum out in cleaning the kitchen?”

“Alright.” You climbed into the truck and turned the knob to find a different radio station. The seats were so worn out it looked as if rats nibbled through them. Your uncle climbed in the driver’s seat after discarding his cigarette butt. Although this truck was old, he treasured it and refused to get a new one. Listening to the DJ talk about some of the latest tunes, both of you were soon on the way back to the pizza parlour.

Nothing particular happened during the next few days. You waited for your parents and Donghyuck to finish up the orders before leaving to deliver them to people’s front doors and taking money for those orders. There were plenty of pizzas to deliver today. You drove to a few houses, relieved that your tyres did not screw themselves up. As you arrived at the last address on the list, you got out of your car. Pizza boxes in hand, you climbed up the gentle steps leading to the same brown and white house from that day. The sky was a subtle hint of purple, notifying the coming sunset.

You rang the doorbell twice and waited. The same shoes from your previous visit were left messily thrown about the doorstep. The door opened a little while later, and you saw the same guy from the time you brought pizza here. Well duh. He clearly lived here.

“Hello again,” Jae-something grinned. Dimple-boy, you decided. You were going to call him that until the moment you knew his name. The night was getting dark and the air brought a new chill to it. You smiled back. You thought he was just going to take his pizzas, pay, and leave. But he had other plans.

“How long have you been working?“ he asked. You tugged at your red sleeve uncomfortably. He had guests over. You should probably reply quickly and leave.

“Since the break. I’m just helping my parents out.”

Dimple-boy looked at you in surprise. “Your parents made these? They are amazing.”

You laughed, abashed. “On behalf of them, thank you.”

He shook his head and smiled, revealing his adorable dimples. He pushed the money into your hands, telling you to keep the change. He stepped back and was about to push the door close when he remembered something.

“Oh, by the way, what’s your name?”

“Y/N.”

“I’m Jaehyun. I’ll see you around?”

You nodded and you face quirked into a grin after you turned around and walked towards your car.

So that was his name.

The three-month break was over—fast. You trudged to the entrance of the school, arms loaded with completed (and incomplete) assignments. You waited on the corner where you and your friend usually met before classes, only to receive a text from her minutes later telling you she fell sick after coming back from Japan. You ended up walking to class alone.

After three and a half boring hours of lectures came lunchtime. You tried looking for your other friends you usually had lunch with but remembered they had competitions and activities they were busy with. You considered skipping lunch. Your stomach growled in refusal.

Joining the queue, you squinted at the menu in front of you and contemplated what to have. Kimchi stew looked great.

You found an empty table in the crowded canteen and sat down. Students sauntered past you, chatting with one another, laughing at something, but everything became volume zero when someone placed his metal tray of food on the table and claimed the space on the plastic seat in front of you.

“Jaehyun?” you blurted. Your hand immediately stopped stirring the stew.

“Hi Y/N,” Jaehyun greeted you, giving you a boyish grin.

You looked around and spotted a few of the guys he always hung out with. They were a few tables away, so it was impossible that he had sat down at the wrong table.

You pointed in that direction discreetly and asked, “Aren’t you supposed to sit there with them?”

“I don’t have to,” he said, shoving a huge spoonful of rice into his mouth.

You munched on some kimchi as quietly as you could. “Why are you sitting here?”

Jaehyun stared at his bowl of soup. “To keep you company.” His ears were two shades away from a tomato.

You resisted the urge to grin now that he was looking into your eyes. “I enjoy my own company.”

He leaned back, clutching his chest. “Ouch.”

You let out a laugh. “Anyways, it’s OK. Really.” You turned to look at his friends. “You should go back. People might misunderstand.”

“A guy and a girl can have lunch together as friends.”

You opened your mouth to reply, but heard a recognisable voice. Donghyuck appeared at your table with a sandwich. You wished the ground would just open up and swallow you up right then.

“You know Jaehyun?” he asked a little too loudly for your liking.

You side glanced Donghyuck. “You know him?”

“Uh, yeah,” he replied, unwrapping his sandwich and taking a huge bite. “He’s my senior in basketball.”

“I feel so old,” Jaehyun commented.

Donghyuck was staring into your soul. “Are you two dating?”

You choked on your kimchi stew. “What the hell? I just delivered pizzas to him twice.” You wiped your lips with the back of your hand and then on Donghyuck’s sleeve. “Dude! This is going to stain,” he complained.

Jaehyun was watching the two of you. “You guys seem close.”

You and Donghyuck looked at him. “He’s my cousin.”

You returned back to drinking your soup as Donghyuck stood up. “I’m gonna go sit with my friends. Bye, Jaehyun.”

“Bye!” you yelled after him. He looked back and sniggered. “Bye, Y/N.”

“Sorry about what he said earlier,” you said quietly. A flush of heat crept across your face.

“What did he say?” Jaehyun asked, the corners of his lips lifting.

You recalled seeing that wallpaper of him and a girl on his phone. “About us dating. You have a girlfriend, right?”

His smile disappeared as soon as it came. “Er, yeah.”

Both of you spent the remaining lunchtime eating in silence, and you only bid him farewell quietly when your class was about to start.

The week had finally ended. You ambled down the pavement on a Friday evening, happy to be out of school. Surprisingly, you only had reading assignments to work on over the weekends. Humming as you walked, you soon reached your parents’ pizza parlour. As you settled your backpack on the white plastic chair next to you, you wound your earpiece into a circle and shoved it into the front pocket of your bag. You collapsed on the chair, thankful to be in an air-conditioned place. Not many people visited to have the pizza right on the spot. This place was pretty small after all. Four round tables, two chairs for two tables, four for the remaining.

“Mum, Dad, it’s me,” you called out.

“How was school?” your mum shouted from the kitchen. “Dad’s out to deliver pizzas.”

“Great.”

At the sound of the little bell hung at the top of the wall near the door, you glanced up from your phone as two people walked in.

Jaehyun focused his attention on his phone, his friend beside him looking around with little interest until he noticed you. He proceeded to jab Jaehyun with his finger.

“What?” he grunted. His eyes seemed to light up when he saw you. “Oh, hey Y/N. Didn’t expect to see you here.”

You rolled your eyes jokingly. “Well, my parents do own this place.”

Your mum appeared at the door leading to the kitchen. “Hello,” she said with glee. “Having anything in particular?”

“One large pepperoni and three sodas, please,” Jaehyun answered.

You pulled your books out, attempting to look busy. Jaehyun started chatting with his friend and you eventually got to know his name.

Your mum came out with the orders and placed them on the round table beside yours. Jaehyun placed one can of soda on your table and went back to talking to Doyoung. You mumbled a “thanks” as your ears stole back to the conversation beside you.

The small bell near the door jingled once more. Three pairs of eyes were fixed in that direction.

“Hi Aunt!” Donghyuck literally screamed. “Oh, and you guys.”

“Donghyuckie!” your mum squealed from the kitchen. “Thanks for visiting. You’re such a dear.”

You eyeballed Donghyuck. “You should get my mum to adopt you.”

“Aw, but I don’t want you as my sister.”

You would’ve punched him right there and then, but Jaehyun was there, and there was no way you were going to be violent. Donghyuck sat his sweaty self down beside Jaehyun and stole one slice of pizza.

After several minutes of listening to chewing and sipping, Jaehyun said, “Y/N, wanna come watch the basketball game next Friday? I’m playing.”

You looked at him as if he grew another head. “Oh, sure. I have nothing on that day. I think.”

Donghyuck scoffed. “And you never agreed when I asked.”

You felt the heat on your face. “I went once.”

“Yeah, that was because I told you there was going to be free food.”

You face grew hotter. “Shut up, Donghyuck!”

He glanced at Jaehyun then back at you, smirking. Don’t you dare, you mouthed. Donghyuck sighed dramatically. You looked at Jaehyun, expecting to see a scowl on his face because you were clearly only interested in food. But he was laughing silently, hand covering his mouth shyly like he wasn’t supposed. Just looking at him, you wouldn’t be stunned to find butterflies fluttering about and petals falling around him.

Stop it. He had a girlfriend.

You wished he didn’t, though.

It was another cool Wednesday night. You were on your way to Jaehyun’s house. No, not to hang out. You wished. Your hands felt toasty from the warm pizza boxes. You were a few metres away from his doorstep when a girl barged her way out of his house. Her tears glistened under the street lamps. As she opened the car door, she wiped them off her face, swearing like a trooper. You watched as the car got smaller and smaller in the distance until it completely disappeared.

Ding-dong!

The door creaked open. “Y/N,” Jaehyun said. He wasn’t smiling tonight.

You didn’t expect you would be delivering pizzas to him tonight. You were just studying at the round table back at the pizza shop when you overheard your mum mumbling the address you almost knew by heart as she wrote it down. All you wanted was to see Jaehyun. You didn’t want to know why.

His eyes searched the floor like he was looking for a coin. They were soon glazed with a glossy layer of tears. Brows furrowed, he looked so lost.

“She…” he choked back on tears. “She cheated on me.”

Your heart sank and you felt tiny knots forming in your stomach. You drew a deep breath and grabbed his hand, leading him to his couch. Placing the pizza boxes down on his coffee table, you let him cry. He wept silently, shoulders shaking violently. Do you hug him? Perhaps pat him on the back? You thought no more because he grabbed your arms and pulled you closer, crying into your neck. You wrapped your shaky arms around him, patting his back softly. His sorrow was like an infectious disease.

His cries died down after a while. He fumbled with the piece of tissue you had offered. “Sorry you had to see me in this state,” he croaked.

You shook your head. “It’s totally fine.” You gave him a tiny smile, and there was an indistinct trace of a smile on his lips. “I’m sorry. For what happened,” you stuttered.

“At least I’m no longer with a cheater,” he said bitterly. “I don’t even know why she was crying. To make me feel bad? To make me believe that it was all an accident? That it was merely a mistake? The relationship wasn’t working out anyway.”

He looked as if he was about to cry again. So you rubbed soothing circles on his back, calming him down. There was a moment of silence until he stood up, eyes puffy and red from crying. “You’re the first person to see me like this, actually.”

“I feel honoured,” you said, trying to lighten the atmosphere.

He grinned that dimpled grin. “Thanks, Y/N.”

“Sleep early, alright?”

He nodded, walking you to the door. He stood at the entrance and watched as you climbed into the car, waving until you could no longer see him.

It was Friday—the day of the basketball game. You told yourself you were only going because you felt guilty for turning Donghyuck down countless of times, but you knew that wasn’t the real reason.

You spent the whole day fidgeting in your seat, wishing time would pass faster. Your friends even shot you curious looks, wondering why you were so squirmish. You could only manage a sheepish smile.

After what felt like years, lectures were over. You threw on a simple jersey, shorts and a basic pair of white sneakers you had brought from home in the changing rooms. The game was starting in five minutes, but you took your time, not wanting to show up too early. After fixing your hair in the mirror, you finally stepped out of the stuffy changing rooms, a sudden gust of wind messing up your hair. You groaned and headed to the hall. Who were you even trying to impress?

You searched the crowd for someone—anyone, in fact. You saw Doyoung sitting at the fifth row, sipping on some juice and munching on popcorn. You ran up the steps and plumped down next to him.

“Oh, hey. Y/N,” he said between bites. He tilted the tub of popcorn at you and you gladly took some, throwing them in your mouth. “Thanks.”

The two of you observed the crowd. Laughter filled the hall. “Here to support Jaehyun?” Doyoung asked, mixing the popcorn around for the dark yellow ones.

You stared at his soft blonde hair. “Uh, no. I’m here for Donghyuck.”

He stopped playing with his popcorn and gazed at you, one brow raised. “It’s only seniors today.”

You felt your insides churn. “I knew that.”

He smirked knowingly before returning to his search for over-caramelised popcorn.

Donghyuck slumped down next to you, making you the main ingredient of this boy-sandwich. He reached over to grab Doyoung’s drink and took a sip.

“Ahh… This is heaven,” he sighed.

“You’re welcome?” Doyoung hissed, snatching his drink back. Donghyuck pouted as a referee blew his whistle.

You watched as a couple of basketballers jogged out from behind a curtain, waiting for a particular person. There he was. His biceps. You blinked a few times and focused on other basketballers. However, you’d always find yourself staring back at him. He scanned the crowd and a smile spread across his face when he saw you. Or maybe you were delusional. You gave him a small wave and felt a warm glow of satisfaction when he waved back. You wished you’d went back to fix your hair.

Jaehyun ran around the basketball court, catching the ball, dribbling, and passing it on to his teammates. The game was so fast paced, and you clenched your fist as you darted a glance at Jaehyun. Suddenly, the referee blew his whistle. One of the team members from the other team committed a foul! You rejoiced silently and watched as Jaehyun represented his team for the free throws. The hall grew quiet, some shushing others. He raised the ball above his head, shot, and… Scored! The crowd cheered madly and you grabbed Donghyuck, shaking him.

“Ow!” he whined. “Loosen your grip!”

The crowd went silent again as Jaehyun dribbled the ball on the spot. Everyone was tense as they waited. You held your breath as he raised the ball again. Score! People around you stood up wildly excited. Doyoung spilled a little of his popcorn but he seemed unaware.

“Awesome,” he yelled, although no one sitting in the first row of the bleachers could hear him, let alone the players on the court.

The game continued on for 30 more minutes. The fact that Jaehyun was still on the losing team caused you to be on edge. The clock flashed 30 in red. The team only had 30 seconds to score a goal to win.

One teammate threw the ball to Jaehyun and he ran while dribbling, before throwing it to another team member. However, the opposing team got hold of the ball. You watched in horror as the ball was passed to the other end. The opposing team’s shooter got ready to shoot, but missed!

The ball was now passed on to Jaehyun’s teammate, then to another, then to Jaehyun himself.

10… 9…

Jaehyun jumped and threw the ball. It rolled on the edge of the basket and you heard Donghyuck let out a piercing shriek.

Score!

You shot up from your seat, cheering hysterically. Everyone around you was clapping and shouting. You watched as the other team shook hands with Jaehyun’s team. He suddenly looked to the direction of the bleachers, beaming at you as he waved. You and the boys to your left and right gave him thumbs ups. The whistle was blown and people started leaving. You lightly pushed Donghyuck towards the exit and walked out behind, with Doyoung following close.

The three of you waited outside the school, observing those leaving the place. After some time, Jaehyun strolled out with his teammates, laughing and high-fiving one another. He waved goodbye to them and walked towards you, towel drying his sweaty hair.

“You were on fire, Jaehyun!” Donghyuck began, grasping his hand. “I’m gonna train hard from now on.”

Jaehyun flicked his forehead. “You should’ve been training hard since you joined.”

Doyoung threw one arm around Jaehyun’s shoulder. “But really, that was impressive,” he said.

You saw Doyoung and Donghyuck sharing a glance before looking at you. “Y/N, don’t you have anything to say?” Donghyuck asked, smirking.

Your cheeks burned hot as you stared at your sneakers. “Um, you were good.”

Donghyuck punched you on the shoulder. “Just good?”

This brat.

“You seemed way too excited for something described to be just good,” Doyoung added. You made a mental note to never help Doyoung or Donghyuck, ever.

Jaehyun, noticeably feeling uneasy, muttered, “Guys stop it. You’re making her feel uncomfortable.”

Those two devils threw their arms over each other’s shoulders, walking off shouting, “No fun!” Doyoung was at least four years older than Donghyuck, but they were acting like those best friends you see in kindergarten. You shook your head, sighing softly. Jaehyun smiled at you apologetically and asked if you wanted to have dinner together. You gladly agreed to.

All competitions were over. Students visited the library more often. You’d tried looking for an empty table in there, but to no avail. You spotted Jaehyun (more like he spotted you first) in the hallway a few days after the game. You stopped to chat, both complaining about the amount of assignments given.

“So…” he started. “What are you doing this weekend?”

“Nothing much, I guess,” you replied. You wished you were less boring. It was times like this you wished you were those who would be like “Oh, I’m going to this party at XXX’s place” or “I’m going for a fancy dinner”.

Jaehyun didn’t seem to be bothered. “I heard about this café that opened recently and they serve good coffee and cakes. Do you wanna go with me this Saturday?”

“Oh, OK,” you said. Way to go with that apathetic answer, Y/N.

So you gave him your phone number.

“Shoot, gotta dash,” he said. You looked at the time on your phone screen and rushed off to your next lecture, thinking of Jaehyun the whole time.

You may or may not had spent two hours picking out the perfect outfit for this ‘date’. Was it a date? You wanted to spend Friday night choosing your outfit so you had more time. Plus, you could ask your friends if the outfit you had chosen was too wild or too plain. But no, you spent Friday night freaking out and Saturday morning panicking. You eventually wore this pastel pink knee-length skirt paired with a white top with sleeves that reached your elbows. You wiggled your toes in your white sandals as you waited for Jaehyun. It was only 11:50 a.m. Jaehyun ultimately came running towards you.

“Did you wait long? I’m sorry,” he apologised.

“It’s OK. I just reached, actually,” you assured him. You took a good look at what he was wearing. A large baby pink sweater with a pair of casual grey trousers. Adorable, you must admit.

He finally let go of your hand once the two of you entered the café. After placing your orders, the pair of you found a table leaning against the glass window. You looked fixedly at the table, inhaling the inviting smell of freshly-made coffee. You couldn’t think straight, and you came to realise you had been chewing on the insides of your cheeks when you tasted blood. Later, the cakes and coffees were placed on the table. Your cake looked so aesthetically pleasing, it calmed you down a bit.

“I actually have something to tell you today,” Jaehyun suddenly spoke as he cut his slice of cake with a fork.

You fixed your gaze on him. “Is it bad?”

“Not really,” he said. “It depends on how you see it.”

“Tell me.”

He traced the patterns on his coffee mug. “Um… So you know I broke up with my ex a while ago. Or she broke up with me. Never mind, that’s not the main point.”

You nodded and urged him to continue.

“I feel like she wasn’t the only “bad” person in the relationship,” he went on, using his fingers to do the inverted commas when he said ‘bad’.

I've been thinking about this game and I thought I might as well summarise it with a list of mistakes I've made so far, in order of shittiness 1) Making an alliance with my favourite dumb cunts literally-a-12-yo Aren and the totally unpredictable, emotional Emot 2) Allowing those fuckers to vote out Jay 3) Trusting Aren to be able to sort shit out for that last vote 4) Being stupid enough to convince myself (& Emmott) that blindsiding Shay was a great idea 5) Finding the solution to Pandora's box & sending it to literally everyone but ny host chat (and then 3 minutes later, because I decided I needed to fucking check again, someone else got in first) 6) Not taking out Alex or Ruthie when we had the chance 7) Not doing more to save Ci'ere & leaving it to the last minute 8) Not working my arse off to find an idol which would be real fucking useful right about now 9) Inviting Alex into that alliance at the beginning 10) Signing up to play in the first place and not turning down the last minute offer to be in this godforsaken season

At this point in the game I really need to start winning things or I will be viewed as a MEGA floater and I just don't want that to happen.  Tonight's comp is basically luck related though so... yeah, we'll see.  

If Emmott or Issy DID win tonight, I wouldn't be in danger, who ever didn't get immunity out of the two of them would be the one to go home.  I would love for one of them to win, especially Emmott because I love his passion so much, and he makes me laugh.  But I still want The Family to remain solid and that might cause other things to happen. :/ Speaking of The Family though...

Last thing I wanted to cover before finding out the results for tonight... THE JURY!  And seriously, I am sorry for all the noise, I'm not sure what possessed me to make video confessionals in the Cosco parking lot with my little sister and my 2 year old nephew in the car.

Aren's blindside went perfectly, and the fact that he actually had people writing my name down means that it was even justified!  Fantastic!  Nicole's random vote for Issy is weird and mildly concerning, but not too much so. The hosts have asked me to rank the players, so I am going to rank them in order of How Likely I Am To Give My Jury Vote To This Person. 6 – Emmot: This paranoid, flip-floppy motherfuck right here.  Fuck you, dude.  Pick a side.  Don't try and play both.  I can't see a world where I vote for you. 5 – Nicole: Don't get me wrong, being able to mostly count on your vote is great.  But at the end of the day, we haven't talked game.  You've been Ruthie's appendage and that's it. 4 – Lena: If our Family has a weak link, strategically speaking, it's Lena.  I love her, but she's mostly just a vote at this point – a vote who holds an Idol, maybe.  Definitely the fourth wheel, definitely not getting my vote unless I have to. 3 – Issy: I respect her iron will to eliminate me.  I don't respect her complete lack of ability to make it happen, or lack of flexibility.  Survivor is a game of adaptation, and she's banging her head against the brick wall. Richie and Ruthie are obviously the top two, and my vote between them really would depend on how I went out of the game, and how they got themselves to the end.  It would be a tough choice between the for me, and I can't make that call now. Before I get to talking about blind week, I once again want to wax philosophical about the game.  Specifically, I'm sure that a lot of people will be looking at my play in retrospect and saying “dude, what the fuck?”  Because from a purely strategic standpoint, my insistence on keeping the Family intact and, specifically, keeping both Richie and Ruthie in, is strategic suicide.  I'm aware of this. I've said before that I take these games really seriously, and I play with everything I've got.  I genuinely, regardless of what happens, like the people I'm aligned with.  And I want to see them do well, even at my own expense.  So I have a tough choice ahead of me, now, at this moment. Strategically, I should start looking to cut Richie and/or Ruthie soon here, because they kick my ass at the end.  But I don't know if I have a cold enough heart to do it, is the thing.  What I have to settle within myself is: how far will I go to win?  Will I cut them down to do it?  Because I could, I really could.  But will I feel good about it later?  And if I lose even after doing so, will I regret it?  Probably. Also, FUCK BLIND WEEK That's all, just fuck this shit.

Funny I should send in a post about how solid The Family is then do what I did last night.  I am such an unloyal snakey bitch and I really hate myself this week.  I hate myself a lot.  I remember asking the other day in The Family alliance if our alliance was seen more as 'Heroes' or 'Villains' and I really HOPE I'm not seen as a villain after tonight, although if I am, I hope to be lovingly greeted by the dark side.  Can I get some cupcakes with black and red sprinkles, please? So, the new Takeover was posted and just FUCK.  Literally anyone could be going home this week and in short I panicked.  I suggested to Alex that I talk to Issy and Emmott about bringing back our old chat and talking them into voting Richie out.  I suggested that one of us could vote with them and the other vote with Lena, Richie and Nicole. He was of course down but hesitant and kind of sat back a bit with it, and I really don't blame him.   This is SUCH a bitch move on my part and I'm feeling awful already but I WANT ALEX AND I TO GET TO THE END.  I WANT HIM TO STAY SAFE.   Anyway, we talked this morning and for now I think that The Family and Nicole are going to vote together and that Emmott/Issy are going to vote for Richie, thinking that we are too.  At this rate I'm not going to have any jury votes, RIP ME.

Blind Week is so ugly. This is so simple, guys.  Each person has a 1/7 shot at having Immunity, the odds are in our favor if we just pile onto one person. But no, Ruthie has to PANIC and go to Issy and Emmott to get them to vote Richie instead of me, just in case. First of all, that's not gonna work.  They're not buying it. Second of all, they're not buying it. THIRD of all, they are IMMEDIATELY going to run to Richie and tell him what you're doing because that is literally their only course of action!  What the shit!  Their best play is to break us up and you've just created the bullets, loaded the gun and handed it to them!  The fuck do you expect them to do, NOT shoot it? Christ. I am trying to keep things under control, and part of my method is making sure nobody notices that should there be a tie, we go to rocks.  Because let's be real, I'm the most likely to end up in a tie, and then I'd be safe. And if this fails, and I go home for it?  Fine.  Guess who has the moral high ground, kids?! But if I don't go home, my Legacy Advantage will let me see all...and that's useful info.

so...... this takeover is ugly..... i was going to try and take out nicole this week but with the uncertainty of not knowing who won immunity and blah blah blah its just not smart so its either issy or emmott tonight... and ive been lying hard core to emmott bc the votes not being revealed so im like being a real fake binch????? theres been so much messiness happening, ruthie threw me under the bus which wasnt fun to find out even if it wasnt necessarily true??? altho it could be true and i could be leaving tonight that would be wild???? also nicole gave me tea which made me trust her again which was nice so im happy i didnt try to vote her out this round i was just being paranoid about her relationship with ruthie which is still concerning but i feel better now as long as theyre telling the truth of course..... honestly idk wtf is going to happen bc with the immunity being a guessing game and not knowing who could have won ANYONE can be going home tonight especially with the no revote straight to rocks... like this is the ugliest round bc theres so little control over whats going to happen and i hate it i really hate it.... i just voted for issy but i would have rather voted for emmott bc ive had a better game history with issy (kinda?) so i would have prefferred to keep her around to try and make a move with later like there was tea she had an idol so she may play it tonight and i was lowkey hoping she would maybe play it at 5 and idol alex  but idk i wanted to vote emmott bc of the fear of her having the idol is strong....... and i havent talked to her..... i should talk to her...... make her feel safer so she doesnt play her hypothetical idol but lbr if you didnt know who had immunity and you heard your name going around youd play that mf idol no matter what..... thats why im scared to vote her UGH this is ugly its literally like picking a target and throwing a dart at it with your eyes closed and i hate it and i hate you goodbye !!!!!!1!!!
