5 Essential Types of Wire Mesh for Industrial Applications
Tumblr media
Wire mesh is everywhere. From the fences surrounding your property to the sieves in your kitchen, it’s a versatile material with endless applications. It is manufactured by weaving or welding metal wires into a mesh, creating a grid like pattern. Its history dates back centuries when rudimentary wire netting was used for basic filtering and containment purposes. Over time, technological advancements have transformed it into a precision engineered material with diverse industrial applications.
What is Wire Mesh?
Wire mesh is a grid-like structure made by weaving or welding metal wires together. These meshes can vary in size, thickness, and material, making them suitable for a wide range of uses.
Historical Evolution of Wire Mesh
The origins of wire mesh can be traced to the 16th century when blacksmiths crafted rudimentary mesh for sieves. The Industrial Revolution brought innovations like mechanized weaving and welding, paving the way for mass production. Today, wire mesh has become indispensable in industries requiring strength, durability, and adaptability.
Types of Wire Mesh: A Comprehensive Guide
Wire mesh is a versatile material used across numerous industries. The diverse types of wire mesh serve various purposes, from industrial to decorative applications. Understanding the differences between the types of wire mesh is essential to select the right product for your needs.
This article explores the five main types of wire mesh: woven wire mesh, welded wire mesh, expanded wire mesh, hexagonal wire mesh, and knitted wire mesh. We will delve into their manufacturing processes, features, and common applications.
Woven Wire Mesh
Woven wire mesh is created by interweaving wires over and under each other, much like a traditional fabric weave. This type of mesh is known for its precision and uniformity, making it ideal for applications requiring accurate filtration or screening.
Types of Woven Wire Mesh Weave
Plain Weave: The plain woven mesh weave is the simplest weave pattern with each warp wire alternates over and under the weft wire.
Twill Weave: The twill woven weave mesh allows a higher wire density by weaving one wire over two and under two wires.
Dutch Weave: The dutch wire mesh weave is designed for very fine filtration, this weave uses a combination of larger warp wires and finer weft wires.
Materials Used
Common materials for woven wire mesh include stainless steel, epoxy coated, nickel, aluminium, brass, copper, low carbon etc.
Applications of woven wire mesh type
Industrial Filtration: Used in oil refineries, water treatment plants, and chemical processing for separating solids from liquids or gases.
Screening and Sieving: Essential in mining, agriculture, and food processing industries.
Architectural Uses: Applied in decorative facades, partitions, and balustrades.
Key Features and Benefits of woven wire mesh
Uniform Openings: Ensures consistency, ideal for filtration and separation tasks.
Flexibility: Can be bent or molded to fit intricate designs.
Corrosion Resistance: Especially when made from stainless steel or coated materials.
Welded Wire Mesh
Welded wire mesh is made by fusing wires together at their intersections using an electric welding process. This creates a sturdy and durable structure that resists deformation.
Features of Welded Wire Mesh
Rigid Structure: The welding process makes the mesh extremely stable.
Customization: Available in various wire diameters, aperture sizes, and finishes.
Corrosion Resistance: Often treated with galvanization or PVC coating to enhance durability.

Can you keep me close, can you love me most?
I made the first sketch for this november 2023 lmao now i finally finished it!!! my opus for my tattooed Todd agenda!! I take him as someone who would looove the old school style so most of them are in that type of design! I think he'd like the wires/tech tattoos (representing interconnectedness), and the others are nods to his identity (testosterone chemical structure, ace of hearts, mesh of trans and anarchy symbol), personality/weapons (brass knuckles, molotov cocktail), punk (shitty nirvana stick and poke, flaming skull and tape, mexican funeral, jimi hendrix's 1967 guitar, spiderweb), rocky horror boss tattoo, a snake with florals behind it (forgiven 'traitor'), and of course the matching solar eclipse he got with Dirk! :3c Image description in alt!

Like Betta Fish Do Part 27
Wc:3213 Masterpost CW: Hospitalization, discussions of temporary character deaths
The hospital was pure chaos. Reporters were at the door, police were at the reporters to stay back, and the Waynes were pacing.
None of them had wanted to be left behind, not with this, so as soon as those who had been playing hero changed, they all headed for the hospital. Bruce had met them in a waiting room that had been cleared out for their use. There were benefits to having a wing named after one’s father.
“Clear,” Babs said as she and Tim finished typing on the tablets that they had brought from WE. “CTV cameras will just loop past this room.”
“There are no bugs. I’ve activated scramblers for parabolic mics or anything, not that they should be able to get to us in here anyways,” Tim said.
“What happened?” Steph asked, looking to Bruce.
Bruce looked to Dick. The rest of the eyes followed.
Dick sighed.
“It’s not my secret to tell.”
“I believe we are past that, Richard,” Damian snapped.
“Why don’t you start with a debrief of tonight,” Bruce coached.
“I was almost in suit when Babs came over the comms, telling us they took Danny. I started to look for suspicious vehicles given the time frame. I wasn’t successful at spotting anything before the…” Dick was really glad that Jason was back with Danny and not here listening to this. “…before the trap went off. I saw one of the buildings go dark.
"Cass joined me. We took out the henchmen at the van and leading into the building. Based on intel, I headed straight for the basement. The place was flooded an inch or two deep. They broke the sprinkler valve, I believe. Danny was tied to a metal chair bolted in the middle of the room. A wire had been tapped into the circuit breaker and was at Danny’s feet. His shoes were off.”
Dick swallowed hard and let his arms drop to his side. That urge to punch something was still there. He flexed his hands and then purposefully relaxed them.
“I was sure he was dead, but when I called out his name he moved. I made sure the circuit breaker was off, disconnected the wire, and went to him. He was…” Dick snorted, shaking his head. “He was making jokes. He was conscious but not fully lucid. Confusion, slurred words, panic. He didn’t want to be taken to the hospital. He thought they would cut him open if ‘they knew’. I was able to convince him to come by saying we’d get Leslie and that we’d protect him.”
Damian scoffed. “Of course we will.”
“Case?” Cass signed, face scrunched up in question.
“And asked Alfred to bring a case, one that Jason put in the Cave that Danny gave him,” Dick confirmed.
“What’s in it?” Tim asked.
Dick just shook his head.
“He’s a Meta, isn’t he?” Duke asked. The question was quiet, but it felt loud in the tense air of the waiting room. He wasn’t staring at the ground rather than any of them. “Something new. Maybe something dangerous or, worse, something useful. It’s why he’s afraid they’ll cut him open.”
Steph cussed and turned to punch the wall only to be stopped by Tim.
“Is he?” Tim asked.
It seemed like there was no getting out of this question. “’Close enough’ was the way it was put when I stumbled in on… the secret.”
“Are his powers electricity based?” Babs asked. “Is that how he survived?”
Dick laughed. The bitter sound made a few of the others flinch or grimace.
“No, opposite, really. He’s weak to it. I think they only got him because they used tasers and it really knocks him out.” I’m so sorry, Danny, Dick thought. “Danny… Danny’s been electrocuted before when he was a kid. It killed him, however briefly. Really… I’m not sure if it didn’t actually kill him again tonight.”
This time Tim didn’t stop Stephanie from punching the wall.
“See, that wasn’t so bad,” Dr. Thompkins said as she peeled off her gloves.
Danny just glared at the IV in his hand that had been carefully tapped down and put under a mesh glove.
“It’s like she doesn’t trust me,” Danny whispered loudly to Jason.
“She’s right not to,” Jason said.
Danny pouted at him.
“Fish,” Jason said with a wet chuckle. He ran his hand through Danny’s hair again, which seemed to soothe him. “You said loudly and repeatedly that you were going to go out the window as soon as she stopped watching you or if she took your blood or if she put the IV in.”
“She did take it,” Danny whined.
“I did,” Leslie said, “and I also promised you no one else would get a hold of your blood and I meant it. I need a baseline for you though. It’s my job now to make sure that you’re well.”
“And no clones,” Danny said.
“And no clones,” Leslie said.
She shot Jason a look who just shrugged helplessly. He didn’t know enough about what went down with that to answer her questions.
Leslie gave up with a sigh. “You really went and found someone who fit right in with the family craziness I see.”
“Nah, Doc, he goes above and beyond.”
“Well… that should make for an interesting file.”
Danny flinched at that, hard enough for Leslie to notice and stop what she was doing.
“Danny, listen to me,” Leslie said. She waited until Danny met her eyes to continue. “No one else will see the file. It’s encrypted by Oracle, Batman’s tech person, and that’s understating them. I need to keep a file so that I can treat you and keep you healthy, that’s all.”
“No experiments,” Danny croaked.
Jason wanted to punch someone again.
“No experiments,” Leslie promised.
Danny gave a little nod, turned away from her, and all but climbed into Jason’s lap.
“Make sure he doesn’t pull that IV out,” Leslie ordered and went back to making her notes.
Not long after Jason had gotten him and Danny settled into the hospital bed, there was a knock at the door. Jason’s hand went immediately to the scalpel that Leslie had generously pretended not to notice Jason palming earlier. It didn’t matter that it was a knock Jason recognized, he wasn’t taking any chances with Danny right then.
Jason only relaxed when Dick had stepped fully through the door alone.
“Hey Danny, how are you doing?”
“Leslie took my blood.”
“Yeah, she does that,” Dick said. He was smiling, words cheerful, but Jason could see the cracks in his brother’s facade. “Alfred is going to be here in just a moment with the case. Can I send him in when he arrives? Or I can bring it myself? Or any of us. We’re all out there.”
Danny turned his head enough to be able to peer at Dick with one eye. “You’re worried.”
“Yeah, little fish, we’re all pretty worried. We care about you,” Dick said gently.
Jason resisted the urge to kiss Danny’s pout away as he shifted his gaze from Dick to Leslie.
“Can they come in?” Danny asked.
Leslie pursed her lips. “Only for a half hour. After that, it’s only Jason and one other allowed at a time and that’s only because I want Jason to try to get some rest too. Whoever else is in here is on a minimum two hour shift so not to wake you up every five minutes.”
“Yes ma’am,” Dick chirped.
“And tell them to keep it calm,” Leslie called after Dick as he slipped back out the door. She sighed and shook her head before focusing back on Danny. “Now, there will be nurses who come in.”
“Noooo,” Danny whined.
“Yes,” Leslie said. “They’ll just be taking your blood pressure, which they’ll know to expect to be low, and changing out your saline and pain medication. I’ll be back in the morning myself to check on your burns. Everyone who steps foot in this room will be approved by Bruce and I. Someone from the family will be with you the whole time, you’ll be safe in every way.”
Danny’s pout deepened before he sighed heavily and seemed to deflate. “Fine.”
“Thank you, Danny. Now please try to rest after the group leaves, both of you.”
“Sure, Doc,” Jason answered and sent her a smile. He’d have to do something to help her clinic out soon, she really went above and beyond for them tonight. He managed to get Danny turned around so that his boyfriend wasn’t buried face first into his pecs before his family invaded.
It seemed like everyone was really trying to listen to Leslie and they all filed in orderly and tucked themselves onto the couch and chairs and each other. Bruce and Alfred stayed standing.
“Hi guys,” Danny said with a wobbly smile.
Some of the family flinched at how ruined Danny’s voice sounded. The flinches weren’t obvious to be noticed by anyone by a Bat, except maybe for Duke’s, but they still happened and Jason noticed. They all looked wrecked, really, in various ways. One would almost think they had been the ones kidnapped and murdered tonight.
It was Jason’s turn to flinch at his own thoughts. Greedily, he soothed himself by pressing a kiss to Danny’s temple.
“Hi Danny,” Duke said back. “How are you?”
“You know, feeling a little extra crispy,” he joked.
The room seemed to lose all the air for a moment before Tim groaned. “God, there are two of them now. No wonder you’re dating Jason, you have the same morbid sense of humor.”
The tension in the room broke and Barbie even laughed. (They all ignored how the laugh was a little too tinged with hysteria to be truly happy.)
Alfred cleared his throat and stepped forward. “The case, Master Jason.”
“Ooh, is that…” Danny asked, zeroing in on the case.
“Yep,” Jason confirmed, popping the ‘p’.
Danny held out his arms, making grabby hands at the case. Alfred raised a brow, looking to Jason for permission, before he moved forward and handed over the case. Jason rested his hand on the lid before Danny could open it.
“So,” Jason started. He cleared his throat awkwardly, “no one freak out, okay? What’s in the case isn’t what it looks like. And… and we’ll explain?”
He wasn’t sure if they would.
He wasn’t sure if they could afford not to.
“We’ll explain,” Danny confirmed.
“Okay, Jay-lad,” Bruce agreed, though Jason could tell he didn’t know what he was agreeing to, other than trusting his son.
Jason took a breath and removed his hand. Danny flipped the lid open. It was innocuous at first, a simple black padded case. Then Danny plucked out one of the glowing, Lazarus green ectoshots and the stances of several Bats shifted.
“That is—” Damian started.
“Nope,” Jason interrupted.
“Jay—” Bruce rumbled.
“I’m sure,” Jason said. He glanced at Cass. “Really.”
“What are you going to do with it?” Tim asked, sounding a little strangled.
“Drink it,” Danny answered.
“Drink it?!”
Danny’s nose wrinkled. “Does everyone in this room have issues with that— what did you call it— Pit water?”
“Pit water or Lazarus water,” Jason said. He calmly ran his fingers through Danny’s hair as he made sure to not have a reaction to the ectoshots. Danny needed to drink them, he couldn’t have any of it spilled from misplaced panic. “And a lot of us, yeah. It’s… been a thing. My situation didn’t help any.”
Tim frowned at the vial, clearly itching to get his hands on it. “If that’s not Lazarus water, what is it?”
“Ectoplasm,” Danny sing songed and then just downed the vial to the wince of the room. A shudder ran through his body before he slumped bonelessly against Jason.
Jason plucked the empty vial from Danny’s limp fingers, pressed a kiss to his temple, and put it back in the case. “From best we can think without getting our hands on Lazarus water, they’re a bit related, but ectoplasm is a pure source where as whatever Lazarus water is, it’s fucked up. Beyond that, I think…”
Jason sighed and buried his face in the top of Danny’s head. He didn’t know how to explain the next part to his family. He didn’t know how to tell them he was still, at least a little, dead. He didn’t want to hurt them like that.
“Ectoplasm isn’t a miracle cure, not like it sounds they use Lazarus water for,” Danny said around a jaw cracking yawn. “Doesn’t work for normal people.”
“Does it work for you because you’re a meta?” Duke asked. The sympathy in his voice was hard to hear.
Danny’s laugh wasn’t any easier to hear. “Nope! I mean, like, sure how you count Superman as a meta I’m a meta, I guess. More a different species.”
Steph made an incredulous noise. “You’re an alien?”
“I wish,” Danny snickered. “I’m dead.”
“That is not funny, Nightingale,” Damian snapped.
Jason peered up at his bristling little brother. Demon brat really was already attached to Danny. “He’s not trying to be funny, Dami. Danny is half dead or, rather, half ghost.”
“Okay, which of your parents fucked a ghost?”
“Miss Stephanie,” Alfred chastised.
“Sorry Alfie,” Stephanie mumbled under Danny’s snickering.
At least having almost died (again) tonight saved Danny from being admonished too.
“Ancient, no, my parents hate ghosts,” Danny said.
“But you’re half ghost,” Babs pointed out, gently.
“Yeah. And there’s a reason that I changed my last name and don’t talk to them anymore, not that they know,” Danny said. He stretched out his arms, arching like a cat. Clearly the ectoshot was starting to have an effect. “No, I’m half dead ‘cause I died and then didn’t.”
“You’ve died before, Danny?” Bruce asked, voice carefully gentle in that way he used only when talking to his kids or those who were basically family through his kids.
“Yeah,” Danny sighed. “It was, um, don’t like talking about it. It’s a ghost thing. But my parents built a portal to the ghost’s realm to try and study them. It didn’t work, not at first. I stepped in it, tripped, hit the on button and bam… ten thousand volts of electricity later and I’m dead.”
Tim and Cass both reached out to stop Steph from moving.
“Thing is, the portal turned on,” Danny continued. “So I also got pure ectoplasm shot right through me. It brought me back, kinda. I’m a halfa; half ghost and half human. Half dead and half alive.”
“You’ve died by electricity before,” Bruce said into the silence of the room.
“Probably died again to it tonight,” Danny said with a casualness that had Jason tightening his arms around Danny. Danny just giggled. “But like I told Dick, I’m immune now.”
“You know,” Barbie said. She narrowed her eyes as Danny shrugged before she glanced to Dick. “And you knew.”
Dick sighed and ran a hand through his hair. “Little wing?”
“Go ahead, Dick. I’m pretty sure you’ve connected all the dots now,” Jason said. Maybe it would be easier, no, smoother if Dick explained it. He was better at hiding his anger.
Though by the way Dick had to shift on his feet, maybe not. “I… I think I have. Then you’re…?”
Jason nodded.
“Fuck!” Dick twisted and paced to the door and back again.
“Master Richard!”
“Don’t be so harsh, Alfie,” Jason said. He couldn’t make Dick be the one to tell them; that had been a selfish hope. “Dick just put two and two together that if the ectoshots only help Danny because he’s dead—”
“Part dead,” Danny chimed in brightly.
“—then that means I’m still part dead too.”
“Jay-lad?” Bruce prompted after a tense moment, voice rough.
Jason just smiled sadly. “The Pits healed me. It sorta… filled in the cracks, but it couldn’t fix that whatever brought me back didn’t bring all of me back… or couldn’t bring all of me back. I think that’s part of why the Pits had such a hold on me. Not that it’s an excuse, but just… whatever. Point is, I’m a halfa too, even if I’m still healing enough to be a proper one.”
The family practically curled around each other in grief. Dick tucked Damian against his side. Tim slumped into Steph and Cass. Steph reached out to squeeze Bab’s hand. Bruce took an aborted step towards them. Even Alfred raised a hand to his mouth.
“I’m alright,” Jason assured them.
“You’re still dead!” Dick snapped.
“I’m half alive, that’s more than I was before,” Jason pointed out.
Dick hunched into himself at that, prompting Damian to give Dick an awkward looking hug.
“What all does that mean, being a halfa?” Bruce asked. He held up a hand as he paused and took a measured breath. “I don’t mean that as an interrogation. Right now, what’s important for us to know to make sure you’re both healthy? Or is there anything that we should avoid doing?”
Jason snorted. He appreciated the clarification, the attempt at being gentle, he did, but, “I know you want to know more than that.”
Bruce smiled, though the expression was more mocking himself than anything. “Of course I do. You know me, chum, I don’t do good with only pieces of information, but right now I’m not the important one. I can deal with some… unease so that we can focus on you and Danny.”
“Danny should drink at least another ectoshot in a bit. They help us heal as halfas. Dick knows because there was an incident where I got stabbed. Danny sensed my distress and showed up to give me an ectoshot. I had called Dick already. Which means Danny also knows about everything.”
“Danny sensed your distress?” Tim asked.
“It’s a ghost thing,” Jason said with a shrug, unsure how to really explain it. “It comes from ghosts having cores which are sort of their central organ.”
“You core?” Cass asked, clearly struggling to verbalize right then with how her nose wrinkled.
“I do. Or, I’m getting more of one. Because the Pits put me back together badly I was really messed up.”
“It’s coming in well,” Danny said sleepily. He yawned wildly (a little too widely) and turned to bury his face into Jason’s chest. “Pretty lava core too. It’s good to have close for healing. It’s warm and lovely.”
Jason snorted and kissed the top of Danny’s head. “Go to sleep if you can. You’ll need lots of rest.”
Danny huffed a mumbled protest, but Jason could tell that Danny was fading fast.
“We’ll talk more later, Jay-lad,” Bruce said as he finally let himself come close to help Danny and Jason better settle into the hospital bed to sleep.
“Yeah,” Jason said as he fought his own yawn as the head of the bed lowered. “Have to have Danny show you his ghost form, it’s really something.”
Tim echoed ‘ghost form’ quietly in the background as Alfred murmured something to the group.
“Do you want myself or Dick here for the first shift?” Bruce asked.
“Stay?” Jason asked. His eyes dropped closed as his dad ran a hand through his hair.
“Always.”

This is kinda a questionable question but I figured who else to ask other than transformers-spike. What are cybertronian spikes like? Are they also metal? Or are they a different material and softer than the rest of their body? Since they’re still aliens and not just robots that’s something that keeps me up at night. Is it possible for it to have a silicone feel? Is it surprisingly organic for an overall mechanical species. Same question for valves. What do you think they’re like? Is it metal? Does have multiple metal moving parts on the inside that contract during interface? Or are the functional base mechanics metal but have some sort of softer material coating for pleasure. Is the color and look of spikes and valves dependent on their paint jobs or most similar to a part you’d find in a car (where it’s just gray metal? Would it be closer to a how a human’s look or are they more wild looking? Considering they’re not human. But then again we do have similar features. Or is it a some will have closer resembling spikes and valves to humans while others don’t situation? Does the type of mech you are affect how it looks? Are spikes and valves customizable? Detachable spikes? Do they have special features like vibrating?
Lmao this is a fantastic question! Well-explained too. @drunkeninlovesailor says she wants to kiss you on the mouth for this, anon.
I've mentioned part of these headcanons in Blueberry Drizzle featuring best boy Knock Out. I'll split my ideas between two categories. TFP and TFA. TFP (at least per my headcanons) has spikes technically made of metal, but metal as in whatever the hell transformers are made of (Transformium?), including dermamesh and protomatter. Dermamesh is what the valve lips are made of (giving them a chewy and softer consistency), but it also covers the spike (especially the tip to protect it, while the rest of the member has a lighter coating). However, the internal casing is made of protomatter, which is way more durable. I assume the surface texture is more akin to silicone? But it also depends on the bot. Ridges are a thing as well, and with only a thin dermamesh cover, they irritate human genitals if lubricant isn't used, they can even mutilate them if the interface is too rough and no lube is used. Valves produce a huge amount of transfluid for this reason alone, and they're extremely durable (as in the dermamesh cannot be easily pierced and the valve structure can withstand almost any impact. Valves have pistons controlling their inner walls. This helps them stretch quite a bit to accommodate spikes - and quickly go back to their normal state after interface. Of course, they clamp down during overload. I assume the insides of the valve are made of dermamesh, probably "puffier" compared to the outer lips. Usually there are multiple layers of gummy-like bristles inside of the valve. They can both stimulate and be stimulated in return. TFP in particular has the wildest-looking interface arrays. Every bot is so unique by design, I wouldn't be surprised if almost every spike/valve was different. The color depends on the bot's natural mesh, but it can also be whatever. I personally like making them alien-like in design, so as long as its phallic-shaped it works. They can also get pretty wild, like Dreadwing and Skyquake having knots. Biolights are pretty common, but some frame classes (like the miners) don't have them (and Megatron's spike went from grey and red to grey and purple because of the dark energon he already consumed in the books - yes i guess unicron can change the color of your dick don't ask) Yeah I assume frame types may have specific spike traits in common, but it's not always a guarantee. TFA to me has add-ons. Aka their initial form of interface was through messing with hypersensitive wires. Extremely messy to deal with since transfluid was being produced inside of their frames, and putting important wires back was complicated and even dangerous if you fucked up enough times. Nowadays they've morphed into installing more "Organic-like" interface arrays, where the transfluid their frames produce is being rerouted to their their valves/spike. So on Cybertron you can change your array however you want. Still sticking to something generally phallic in shape though. Decepticons however have met more alien species since their exile, which means the slowly developing interface-market at the time got even wilder. Sky's the limit. Blitzwing with a tentacle dick, Blackarachnia with an ovipositor - no one can stop them! Also bots can change up their spikes like jewelry so... the features can get pretty wild depending on your budget . The best part tho is being able to choose the size. Everyone can interface with everyone

Blitzbee headcanons?
- Blitzwing and Bee have a cabin in the woods that they stay in each night. Its their little safe haven and its hidden where only they know.
-Blitzwing has nightmares that he doesn’t wake from so Bee will massage his chassis and hum songs against his spark to help calm him. It almost always works.
- Bee emerged with a dysfunction that makes him suffer in the cold. When Blitzwing found out he built a fire pit in their cabin. The cold also makes Bee’s frame hurt and makes it hard to move so Blitzwing holds him close and heats himself. He also just carries Bee around in the crook of his neck cables because he worries and wants him close to keep him safe.
- Bee is really good at cooking and so more often than not he’ll cook himself and Blitzwing energon that leaves the large recharging at the table.
- Bee loves using his wheels as roller skates while listening to music so he made Blitzwing a pair and slowly teaches the larger mech how to skate.
- blitzwing loves leaving bite marks on Bee. He especially loves softly nibbling on Bee’s horns.
- Bee has door wings he only reveals in medical exams and around the house with Blitzwing. Blitz understands why he doesn’t show them and he loves to groom and stretch them.
- Bee can’t take off in flight like Blitzwing can but he’s a hybrid mix of grounder and insecticon flyer. His door wings can open revealing intricate mesh and wires that are extremely vulnerable and perfect for soaring. Blitzwing holds Bee and takes off to the skies and Bee will spread his door wings open and flutter them before letting go and soaring besides Blitzwing. They both love to fly and Blitz is so happy he can do a type of flyer courtship with Bee. But he refuses to let Bee fly alone or past arms reach. His wings are able to soar but they do get tired kind of quick and Blitzwing won’t risk it.
- In his tank form Blitzwing is surprisingly fast and will race Bee. He doesn’t win but he does love being able to somewhat keep up with his hummel.
- the two oddly are sweet when alone. Bee uses sweet nicknames like my love and sweet spark in the most loving voice while Blitzwing looks at Bee like he hung the stars.
- their love language is touch. They both like personal space but for each other they have to be near the other or touching. Its something they crave and they have an easy time communicating it together because they aim to get their point across and be understanding.
I love this pairing i could go on forever

Out of state and my partner is building me shelves for the newly finished greenhouse & sending update pics and wow... I really did go ham and plant a few thousand seedlings didn't I
Tumblr media
[ID: A wooden shelf with wire mesh stapled over it, waiting to be cut to size. Somewhere between 70-90 pots, mostly standard 4 inch, are full of small seedlings. Some have just a few poking up, while others easily have 50 little seedlings waiting to be thinned]
Tumblr media
[ID: The same amount of slightly older seedling pots on a large white table, waiting to be moved to shelving. These are better thinned and larger by a week or two's growth. Labels of differing types and colors stick out from every pot.]
He's helping with some thinning, but I'm going to have my work cut out for me when I get back and have to uppot all of these.

Tumblr media
The door down the hall was also made of heavy steel and was built almost like a bank vault. It was cracked open, and I could see the glow of fluorescent light coming through the crack. Although the door was heavy, it opened smoothly. I walked into another vaulting warehouse space. This one was full of rows upon rows upon rows of weapons. It was like walking into a Costco, but just for guns and weapons of every sort. Racks going all the way up to the ceiling of crates made of wood, some of molded plastic, and others of metal lined each level of racking around me.
The racking was configured so that a path led into the back of the warehouse. I followed it. When I reached the end of the path, there was an area of worktables, machinery, and tools. Sitting beside the table was a massive man with a buzz-cut and thick beard. His arms were covered in tattoos, and he was the size of a fucking Mac truck. The other guys he had met were huge, but this man was massive. His eyes looked at me from under heavy brows. Bright like steel, they looked right through me.  In his hand was a machine gun of some type I had never seen before. Well, that told me I was in the right place. It wasn’t pointed at me, but something told me it could be in a microsecond if I said or did the wrong thing.
I walked over to him and said, “I guess you are the guy I am looking for, Mr.” He said nothing and kept looking at me. “Okay, I was told that you were the guy who could provide me with some specialty equipment that I need,” I continued. He still didn’t say anything and just kept looking at me. I was getting nervous now. My hand twitched to move toward the button, but I pushed that feeling down. I needed more evidence.  I needed to get him to talk. We both stood there in silence for another 30 seconds, and I said, “Listen, if you guys don’t want to do business, show me the door, and I can get out of here. If you are turning away money, then that’s cool with me. I will find someone else who can give me what I need. I just heard you were the man to talk to for things like this. Professional with quality goods.”
Again, silence until he said, “Who sent you, and what are you looking for?”  I gave him the name of the informant gave us and just enough background on the guy to make it seem legitimate. I hoped. He nodded slowly and said, “What are you looking for?”  Ice broken, I ran off a list of things we “needed”.  There were some esoteric things on the list that we hoped he had because it would put him and the rest of them in prison for the rest of their lives.  Again, he nodded and said, “I’ve got that. But ah, what do you need all that for?”
Okay, this is not an unusual question, but “Listen, Mr.?? Like you, we have our own need for discretion. I’m told that all the gear you sell is untraceable, which is part of why you get paid extra. It’s why I am here, your rep is that you can desperately supply damn near anything a man can need from a weapons standpoint.” I said. He nodded sagely again. It was when I heard footsteps coming down one of the isles of the racking.
A middle-aged man came into view with a tablet in his hands. He was beefy but not like these guys. He stood around 6’1" and had a belly, but his shoulders were broad, and his arms were thick and hard. He looked like your office type of guy who worked out—a guy who wrestled in high school but got a bit soft around the middle. He looked at me as he walked over to the “Boss,” leaned over, and whispered in his ear.  I couldn’t hear what he was saying, but I could see the Bosses eyes. Those hard eyes did two things: they went ice cold, and an evil glint twinkled in them. His bearded mouth smirked. The guy with the tablet reached into his back pocket and pulled out a clear bag wrapped around a mesh of wire. Oh shit. I could see my phone in the bag, a Faraday bag. My hand went to the 4th button on my shirt and started tapping It discretely.
“How long do you think it will take them to get here?” the Boss asked. He looked at me with a smile that did not reach his eyes. My finger was pressing against the button now, not trying to hide it. “What are you talking about? “I said, trying to keep my voice even. He stood up then, and I could see he was about 6’6” and seemed to be damn near that wide. I took an involuntary step back and bumped into something, make that someone. I started to turn when two massive pairs of hands grabbed my arms and held me in place—the two guards from out front were behind me and holding me in their vice-like grip. The Boss's smile became a grin as he walked toward me.
I sputtered and said a bunch of things that did nothing in the long run. When he stood in front of me, it was like being in the shadow of a giant monolith. Everything seemed small around him—insignificant.  He simply said, “Shhhhhh!” to me, and I quieted.
Turning to the guy with the tablet, he said, “Which one is it?” The tablet tech guy stepped in front, looked me up and down, and stopped at the buttons on the shirt. From somewhere, the tech guy pulled out a big folding knife and snapped it open. I jumped and tried to pull back. The hands holding me tightened painfully on my arms, shoulder, and neck, lifting me to my toes. The beefy tech expertly moves the knife to slide under the 3rd and 4th buttons on my shirt, slicing them off into his hand. Looking at them closely, he turned to the Boss and said, “Camera and emergency transmitter. They look like something Mossad made last year. It's pretty good tech. Not as good as ours, but pretty damn good. We’ve been blocking the signals since he got in the van. The camera is running on local storage since he came into the bar.  As far as they can tell, he disappeared when he left the bar. I’ve been retransmitting a false signal west of the city; they should be trailing him out past Naperville and Westmont about now. “
The massive man smiled genuinely and clapped the tech on his shoulder. “Good job as per usual Al. Lead the signal out toward the compound in western Iowa. You know, those wingnut survivalists the FBI is always looking at. Make it end there for now.”  The tech guy started to walk away, and the Boss said, “Wait, keep this with those.” He lifted the Faraday bag my phone was in, and I watched his gloved hand crumple the metal like it was a beer can. He crushed it once, then casually twisting it in his hand, crushed it again until it resembled a ragged ball of steel and glass.  He handed the bag and demolished phone to Al the tech.
Turning back to me, he leaned over and said, “Listen, I don’t have time to listen to your lies and denials. Then threats. Not only does nobody know you’re here, but they don’t even know who took you. Al will lead them on a nice little electronic goose chase through western Iowa, where they will raid that right-wing survivalist fuckers. When they don’t find you there, your handlers will be at a dead in.”
His big, gloved hand engulfed my chin, and he moved closer, “Right now, my boys here are going to have some fun. They like to pay with their food. Eventually you’ll tell them what I need to know.”  He said. The massive men holding him grunted in agreement. He pulled back with a dangerous smirk, and his big gloved hand patted my face roughly as he turned and walked back over to the bench.
The guy holding me shifted and the one on my left quickly slid his arms under mine and put me in a full nelson. The other guy walked around in front of me and, after rolling his shoulders, slammed his fist into my gut. Then again and again. The guy holding me pulled me up, and I could see the Boss back at his worktable and the Tech guy looking at me. His eyes were watching with lust and need as those guys were working me over. The Boss absently looked up and said, “Fellas, take your fun elsewhere. I’ve got work to do. They replied, “Sure thing, Boss.”  They started dragging me away when the Boss said, “Boys, it’s been a while, so, take your time and enjoy yourselves. Also, take Al with you; you know he likes to watch.”  All three of them said, “Thanks, Boss,” in unison as they dragged me away.

Could I have a tutorial fir the sebastian mask and tail?? Im a sebastian kinnie and I'd love to have one to use for cosplay!!! /nf /genq
oh yes absolutely! I will try my best to include both pictures and additional links to videos for more precise tutorials.
» The Mask
you'll need:
feline mask base (I got mine off of aliexpress, it's also laminated)
light blue & black felt fabric
fuzzy wires (blue and yellow)
mesh (the type usually used for cross stitching embroidery)
1cm thick foam
hot glue gun
first, I've cut off the ears of the feline mask and glued on custom ones made from foam. I've also made the eyeholes slightly bigger and rounder + adding a third eyehole. I've then glued on small teeth at the bottom made from foam as well.
Tumblr media
then I grabbed the felt fabric and glued it onto the mask, going along the curves. here's a tutorial for making such a therian mask using felt fabric.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
next, I've cut out circle shapes of the mesh and glued it at the back side of the eyes. then I grabbed some acrylic paints and gave the mask some gradients to make it more lively.
Tumblr media
after the painting is done, I've made the hair - sadly I threw out the original paper patterns for it, but I suppose this part is pretty custom with how you want the hair to look like.
Tumblr media
I made several parts of the hair to give it a layered feel, then I again used acrylic paints for more gradients. lastly for the mask, I've used fuzzy wires to make the angler fish light - making a little bulb from the yellow one and then sticking the blue one into it. I simply then glued it at the back of the mask covering it with some felt fabric for extra stability.
Tumblr media
(a back view of the mask)
» The Tail
you'll need:
paper for pattern making
blue plush fabric & blue felt fabric (can be different shades for a more realistic feel)
black felt fabric
hot glue gun
buttons
firstly, I've made a pattern cutouts out of paper. I simply searched up whale plushies and got inspired by them when it comes to seams and such. there's also this tutorial for shark tails if anyone wants to make a bigger and more professional one.
Tumblr media
the bottom part - felt fabric and the two sides part - plush fabric.
Tumblr media
after sewing all the parts together, there still was a hole in the front that needed to be filled in. I grabbed a piece of the felt fabric and simply sewn it across the other parts, basically winging it. I left one line free for turning the tail inside out, filling it up and then using the invisible ladder stitch to sew it shut.
next I've made the bag details on the tail. I firstly had to measure the girth of the tail, note it down and make approximately 1cm thick "belts" from the black felt fabric to glue around the tail. then I've added details like the "bags" by simply cutting out rectangular and triangular shapes out of the black felt fabric and again glue it on places I deemed the best - this is a pretty custom part too. you can add as many bags or belts as you want. then I've sewn buttons below the triangular shapes of the "bags".
lastly, I've grabbed some old denim fabric pieces and made attachment points. this is how the mechanism for wearing the tail looks like:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and that's it! I hope this helps a bit - tumblr sadly doesn't allow me to add more pictures to one post. perhaps someday I'll make a pdf document pattern so it's easier to follow.

How to fix Transparency w/ Lashes and Alpha Hair in Blender! Cycles & Eevee!
(This tutorial also helps with adding transparency to Sims 4 Object cc. If needed, I can make a post on that as well.)
This is NOT a Tutorial on how to fix broken/ glitched lashes in the SIMS game!!!
It was brought to my attention that others do not know how to fix this issue in blender, so I've made this post to help out. This tutorial works for BOTH Eevee and Cycles! (This only matters at the end when in the materials tab.)
None of the CC is Mine! Ty to ALL creators!
This is work for all methods of DAE exports.
Tumblr media
This is Erecen. They will be our tutorial model today.
Tumblr media
As you can see, the Alpha CC hair and lashes are not... working like how we saw them in game. So! We will need to fix this up within our Shading Node Wranglers to correct this.
(If you use a GLASS mesh, make sure you are shade wrangling on the GLASS!)
Tumblr media
(This picture is only showing which is the Glass mesh!) Plz ignore this if you are not using Glass mesh export on Ripper.
Lashes/Hair Transparency
First import your sim and wire the texture nodes how you normally would. Stay in Shade Editor/Shading tab.
Tumblr media
You will now want to Add a 'Mix Shader' node. Search for it by typing in "Mix Shader". Select and now drop it between your Principle BSDF node and Material Output node.
After this, you will want to Add a Transparent BSDF. I added mine the same way as the Mix Shader and have place it under my Mix Shader node.
Tumblr media
With this Transparent BSDF node, you'll want to wire it to the TOP Green Circle of your Mix Shader node. (1 in pic below) This will disconnect your current wiring from Principle BSDF. This is fine since you now want to wire the Principle BSDF node to the BOTTOM Green Circle of your Mix Shader node. (2 in pic below)
Tumblr media
Afterwards, you will now need to go to your Base Color node; (Where your sims diffuse lies!) It should be the top left node, unless you have moved it. (3 in pic above) Now take the Alpha dot and drag it all the way to FAC on the same Mix Shader node. From here, we need to go to 'Editor Type'.
Tumblr media
After locating Editor Type, you now want to locate the sphere listed as Material.
Tumblr media
You now want to find the correct SETTINGS tab. Please note how you render your renderings. If you render in EEVEE, take note of the picture above. Same for CYCLES as taking note in the picture above. This is very important since the SETTINGS options switch between these two areas depending on the Engine.
In Eevee, this should be in the first SETTINGS tab in the materials properties tab.
In Cycles, the SETTINGS you will need is located under the tab listed as Viewport Display. From there, a new drop down will be available called Settings. (This is the correct SETTINGS you want)
Either engine will now have a few modes now visible.
Tumblr media
For both Blend Mode and Shadow Mode, change them from Opaque to Alpha Hashed. (It is only required to change Blend Mode to Alpha Hashed for the transparent textures to work. Hashing shadows makes a nice balance of translucency and ambient occlusion.)
And that should be it! Your lashes/Alpha CC hair should be working correctly now!
Tumblr media
I hope this helps! If not, please feel free to msg me of any other further know issues. Thank you to @spookyxdoom for bringing this topic up!
I even had my bf try it out without knowing a single thing about Blender and they figured it out just fine with this tutorial.
I already plan on doing other tutorials on how I fix overlapping textures as shown below.

~"System Overheat"~
(Pt. 1/2)
(Queen x Fem!Reader Oneshot)
Tumblr media
THERE'S HARDLY ANY QUEEN FANFIC??? NOT on MY WATCH darlings this is not okay
Summary: Queen is delighted to see you at her party.
Note(s): Reader is said to be wearing a dress (specifically the dress that Orange Addison sells aka Mettaton's dress), reminder that Queen is like 7-8 freaking feet tall, Queen and (Y/N) are stupid as hell and in love, I only use a tiny bit of grammar for Queen so good luck, part 2 coming soon 🤭
How Long It Took To Write: 3 hours
~~~~~
"OHOOOOHOHOHOHO!"
Queen's boisterous laugh echoed down the hall. Swatchlings were bustling about, preparing food (which mostly consisted of battery acid pies, microchip salads, and spaghetti made of wires), and serving guests. Two Swatchlings had gasped at your beauty and insisted on walking you into the party, your arms linked snugly with theirs.
Other guests at the party wore nothing fancy. They all came as they were.
But not you.
You wore a beautiful periwinkle and sky blue gown. It felt cheap, slightly itchy, but it looked like it was worth millions. You felt glorious, you looked glorious. You were glorious. Heads turned as soon as the Swatchlings used their free hands to push open the large doors that lead into the Great Hall.
Queen, who had been in the middle of sipping from her fifth glass of battery acid, stopped everything she was doing to stare across the room at you. Her jaw dropped, her screen flashed a shocked "OMG", and she stood up abruptly. In doing so, she almost stepped on Nubert.
The Swatchlings unlinked their arms from yours to bow at the approaching Queen. Each then politely told you to enjoy the party, before they departed to help the others serve and clean. You waved goodbye to your escorts, then looked up as Queen's comically tipsy sounding voice spoke to you.
"(Y/N) Sweetie Honey Darling Gravy You Look Stunning"
"Lovely"
"Perfect, Even"
"..."
"In Fact You Are Stealing My Spotlight How Rude Of You" she prodded you in the arm playfully with her knuckle, so hard that she accidentally sent you stumbling backwards a step.
You gave a scoff of pure amusement, and quickly restabilized your balance. You opened your mouth to give a playful retort and a compliment to her in return, but you were unable to get a single word in before she started blabbering again. Even more delighted by her ridiculous ramblings, you humored her, and listened while she began going on and on about the most absurd things.
"Do You Happen To Be Lacking In Potassium Because I Ordered Bananas The Other Day And Meant To Type "5" But One Of The Tasques Jumped Onto The Keyboard And Accidentally Sent An Order For 5,936 Bananas. We Now Have 5,936 Bananas And I Do Not Know What To Do With Them. They Are Currently In Their Own Room Undergoing Professional Peeling"
"Did You See That New Swan Boat In The Free Pool That's Why I Asked About Your Favorite Bird The Other Day (But I Forgot So I Just Got The Swan Because Swans Are Pretty And You're Pretty Too)"
"Did You Notice That I Bought Myself New High Heels They Are The Exact Same As Every Other Pair I Own But Shinier. I Also Bought You A Pair So We Can Match- Oh Wait That Was Supposed To Be A Surprise LOL Dang (Damn)"
"Okay Enough About Me Let's Talk About You Have A Seat"
You blinked. All of her words had begun to mesh into one very long sentence that you hadn't been keeping up with, and before you knew it, you had absentmindedly walked across the long room with her, and now you were standing at the foot of her luxurious throne. Queen often invited you to sit with her on the throne. You usually perched on the armrest while the two of you went about spectating and playfully harassing people. This occurred so often that there was a slight dip in the armrest from your constant sitting on it.
Queen sat down and elegantly crossed her left leg over her right. She slung her arm around your waist to guide you to sit with her. With a bit of difficulty (due to how large the throne was), you made it to your usual spot, your legs neatly tucked under yourself. Queen reached her free hand over to smooth out your dress for you.
"Have I Told You That You Look Cool"
You grinned and nodded, leaning against her, a giddy feeling in your heart. Now that you could finally get a word in, you accepted the compliment. "Thank you!" You replied sweetly, "You look perfect, as usual, your Majesty," you replied in a frolicsome tone. Queen gave a pleased smile, lifting her glass to sip her battery acid. After a long sip, she looked at you again.
"Thank You Sweetie ILY-" she hiccupped, hand briefly pressing against her chest as she did. It was unclear if it was genuine or if she had done it to distract from the fact she said 'ILY' without thinking. She was never the type to shy away from showing over the top affection, but dropping "I love you" was different for her.
You just took it in a friendly way. "Love you, too!"
Queen's screen briefly flashed what looked like a keyboard smash.
~~~~~
Part 2 coming soon 👀 she's so silly fr darling I adore her terribly
Request Guidelines!
