you're in deep shit.

staring at the broken screen of your boyfriend's ipad, you know you're in trouble.

with jungwon's schedule packed with practice and shows, you decided you wanted him to come back to a clean and tidy home. so you used the spare key he'd given you to enter the boy's dorms and do them a favour.

upon opening the door, you were met by the sight of clothes spread around the floor, piled on top of each other. unwashed dishes sat in the sink, and- is that a receipt from something sunghoon bought two months ago?

yeah, you had your work cut out for you.

taking a deep breath in, you mentally prepare yourself for the next hour or two.

you got through it though, and seeing the place get cleaner made you feel proud of yourself. it's like the dorms suddenly increased in space, with the lack of clothes and displaced furniture littering the rooms.

you only had to polish the surfaces though. so you'd been wiping the dining table absent mindedly, thinking about how jungwon would react once he saw the place. maybe you could even pull a few kisses out of him.

but you should have paid more attention, and you would have noticed his ipad sitting on the side of the table.

the device fell to the tiled floor with a loud crack, having fallen on its corner before flopping onto it's screen. you'd knocked it off the edge.

a gasp escapes you, and you quickly knelt down to inspect the damage.

the corner had been scratched, the damage seeping into black at the corner of the actual screen. a crack striked through the screen, and colourful lines lit up rather than the lockscreen when you turned it on.

god, how did it even manage to get that bad? you hadn't thought the fall was that bad at first. clearly you made a misjudgment.

panic seized through you as you realised how important the device was to your boyfriend, using it in his practices almost every day. and now it was sitting in your hands, broken and unusable.

your hear the door unlock and voices filtering in.

perfect timing, you groan in your head.

"oh- y/n?" you hear jungwon's voice shout in surprise, the happiness in his voice making you apprehensive.

"hi..." you greet him weakly, trying to hide the broken ipad behind your back.

"wow, you cleaned up the place?" riki gasped. "it's amazing!"

"i wish i had a girlfriend who'd do this for me," heeseung chuckles, placing his bag on the table.

"oh my god, what's this?" you hear sunoo gasp from behind you.

you quickly spin around, turning to look at him, while the device stayed behind your back. you and the boy stare at each other with wide eyes, and you're about to say something, when jungwon speaks up.

"y/n... what happened here?"

only then do you realise that you'd forgotten jungwon was right behind you after turning to face sunoo.

"i... accidentally knocked it off the table..." you admit hesitantly. "it happened just before you guys entered."

"ah..." jungwon sighed, taking the ipad from your hands.

you gulped as you watched him check the device, before deeming it completely useless, seeing as it couldn't even show the screen.

he gave heeseung a look, who then signalled the others to go to their rooms. they didn't want to see their leader angry after a long and tiring day on stage.

"look at this... do you even realise how stupid that was? how am i supposed to practice tomorrow?" jungwon says to you, pinching his nose bridge.

"i know... i'm so sorry. i should have been more careful."

"yeah you have! i just wanted to come home and rest today, you know? but now i have something else to deal with after a busy day."

"i'll buy you a new one," you offer.

"no, i just- i don't want to talk about this right now. not to you," he shakes his head and turns away, opening his phone to text his manager. "it might have been better if you never came in the first place."

you're shocked. you understood that he had a tiring day dancing - that's why you wanted to try and lift some weight off his shoulders. but is he seriously disregarding your own efforts?

"are you being for real right now?"

"yes i am, why wouldn't i be?" he challenged. "i just spent all day on stage, using up all my energy, and i come home just wanting to sleep but instead i have another problem to deal with?!"

"i just wanted to help you!"

"i didn't need your help! it did less for me than you thought," he shouts.

"you aren't the only one working your ass off all day! i also have my own job, and still decided to go here straight after to clean up the dorm - which, by the way, was so messy?! it's like you guys don't know how to clean up after yourself."

"you know we don't have time! isn't that why you wanted to help?"

"oh, so you're twisting my words on me now, huh? i spent two hours cleaning the floors, the dishes, i even washed the clothes just laying around! you seriously didn't have enough time in your packed schedule to just put a piece of clothing back in your closet? you just let it pile up like garbage!" you huffed out.

"if you're just gonna shout at me, leave! you know how much this is going to set me back? if you didn't break my ipad i could easily do my work with no problem," he yells at you.

"i can't believe you right now. you're letting a stupid device - which i obviously broke by accident allow you to ignore everything else i did? to get in between us?" you stare at him with exasperation in your voice. you want to cry, and it physically hurts having to stop the sobs from escaping your throat.

"what?" his tone shifts from an angry to a more dejected one.

"i know your ipad is important, and i had planned to get you a new one because of it. i just wanted to take a burden off your back. but if i'm clearly not doing enough, then i guess i wasted my time here."

you pick up your own belongings and make your way towards the exit.

"wait-" he grabs your wrist, but you shake him off.

"i'm leaving, like you asked. sleep well jungwon, you clearly need it."

jungwon hadn't left you any missed calls or texts the next day. and you hadn't really expected him to.

in your time dating him, you had learned that it was best to give him some time to process things. then you'd start pestering him to talk about it after a day or so - you two always came out of your arguments stronger this way.

by the time his first attempt at talking to you again came - a call at 10pm, of all times - you decided. decided that you wouldn't make this easy for him, not when he made it hard for you the other night.

so you ignored the call. sat and stared at your screen, waiting for him to stop.

when he did, you turned your phone off and watched some new series on your tv until you fell asleep peacefully.

the next morning, you woke up and found that your boyfriend had tried to call you five more times, but went right to voicemail since your phone was off. you also received the 20 messages he had sent.

still, you resisted the urge to reply, and went off to the store.

again, jungwon tried calling you throughout the day, when he presumably had breaks during practice. every time your phone lit up and rang that familiar tone, your fingers itched to press answer and accept his apology and offer for a date out on the town. but you persisted in your resolve to keep him on his toes. he's going to have to grovel for your forgiveness.

after picking out a new ipad, you paid and left the store with the box in your hands. you fished your phone out of your pocket and finally turned your phone off again, so his incessant calls would stop disturbing your peaceful shopping (read: everyone was giving you weird looks for not answering the ringing of your phone).

someone should give you an award for not giving into your strong urges to do so.

looking at the time, you think jungwon's probably leaving practice now. no doubt he'd find you soon, if he wasn't already on the way.

is it unfair? you ask yourself, but you know the answer is no. jungwon had been completely unreasonable during the argument. you understood he was tired and how important the tablet was to him, but it didn't give him an excuse to overlook everything else you did. to shout at you like that, over something stupid like a cracked screen, none the less.

okay... maybe it was more than a cracked screen. you should apologise for it again.

"y/n!" ah, there he is.

you turn to see the face of your lovely boyfriend, who's been chasing you all day.

"jungwon." he ran up to you, panting, but not giving himself time to breathe when he took your hands in his.

"please, y/n. i'm sorry, really," he started, staring at you with those wide, beautiful eyes. "i know i was harsh, and it was stupid. you did so much for me, a big favour, and i had the audacity to react like that. over an ipad!" he laughed.

"i'm literally the biggest idiot on earth. in the whole universe. you're amazing, you know? i feel like you give me way more than i give back to you. so i want to show you how sorry i am.

"let's go watch the latest movie at the cinema tomorrow. it's on me. and then, i'll ask for some time off so we can go to that butterfly garden 20 minutes away - i'll try to catch some for you. not that they'd be as pretty as you, though."

you watched as he gradually lowered to his knees, looking up at you with pleading eyes. you quickly pulled him back up, shaking your head.

"don't- don't beg for my forgiveness," you sigh. "i understand. i'm sorry too, for breaking your ipad. so i got you this-" you handed him the bag that held his new ipad. his jaw dropped as he took it from you, gaping back at you.

"thank you..." he trailed off softly. in disbelief.

"this doesn't mean i forgive you just yet, though," you harrumphed. "you'll have to work harder. that butterfly garden does sound nice."

jungwon smiled and followed as you began walking away, arms folded.

"i'll bring you to that cat cafe downtown," he said, trying to take your hand in his, but you refused.

"even if you're allergic to them?"

"i'll just take my meds," he shrugged nonchalantly. "as long as you're happy. i know you love their little calico."

you gasp, remembering the adorable cat from the cafe. "i miss him so much! can we go now?"

"you have your own cat! me!" he pouted, going in front of you to stop you.

"well, it seems like my 'own kitty's' been misbehaving," you rolled your eyes playfully.

"i know, i know! i'm sorry. i'll bring you there right now."

jungwon called for a driver, who picked you two up and dropped you off at the cat cafe.

you failed to keep your snickers to yourself as you watched him sit in your booth, sniffing and rubbing at his (now red) nose, while you played with the cute little cats.

the corners of your mouth tug upward when you see him open the case you had bought, which you had customised at the store to have your lipstick stains all over it. he immediately ran to you and snaked his arms around your waist, hoisting you up into the air, and spinning you around while shouting 'thank you, i love you'.

"i love you too," you laugh as you kiss him on the cheek, leaving another mark on his face, identical to those on his new ipad's case.

ok ok so. um.

I use she/her pronouns, I've got big wavy hair that has a bit of a curl to it. I used to do competitive swimming/general swim classes for about 7-8 years until Covid (meaning: my poor. poor. poor. hair.). I am average height at 5'5 and a bit, and I've got big brown eyes. I struggle a LOT to find good clothing cuz I'm very heavily on the curvy side and dress modestly, but I tend to be a little extra with my clothing and like to dress up for the smallest occasions (like. i will go to the mall. in an evening gown. i dont care.) I looove collecting things like rocks, old records and specifically pins- I wear a hijab so I adooooore collecting little things I can use to pin it with. Super fun. I love cooking but I hate cleaning up after, I sleep in a lot, and I love to read romance books. My favourite colour is green, and I dress in a lot of earth tones, and I am heavily touch starved, my love language is....I think physical touch or gifts cuz I loove making things for people!! I write a lot, fanfiction and novels (less on the novels lmao). Ummm, I loove parties and social gatherings, and I like someone by me who enjoys going on adventures and exploring the world (biggest history nerd you will meet its so bad)

Hello!! So I noticed I made a few grammer mistakes. Also, it's not because english is my second language, buuuut its because I'm too excited to write these, and I just wanted u guys to see them. It's finally going to happen. Hatsuharu, Ayame, Shigure and Tohru watched as the battle continued to take place.

Yuki's delicate features concentrated harder on the chess pieces, waiting for his opponent to make his move. Swiftly lifting his gaze back to Kyo, he patiently stared at the car zodiac.

Kyo's frustrated expressions were hilarious to haru and Shigure who snickered together about this absurd look he had. Yet Kyo disregarded with a grunt. Finally he moved forward but victorious grinning "I got your other Bishop too rat boy! Prepare to die!"

Tohru in the background prayed that no one was going kill anyone. Though it was unheard. Yuki raised an eyebrow, and he sighed coolly. "Baka neko (stupid cat), do you think chess is something you can play without a strategy?"

"Huh???!!" Rage flooded in the ginger's face, Yuki's blank features examined Kyo before speaking."So I guess I'll have to claim your king now,"

"YOU CAN'T-!"

Barely able to finish, Kyo watched as Yuki gracefully eased the rook closer to his king. Panic flushed, he forgot about thar sneaky rook of his. Kyo looked back and forth, realising none of his pawns were active. Not even his Knight was allowed to move when Yuki's pawns pinned him.

Afterwards with a futile attempt to cut off Yuki's Knight, Yuki smirked "Checkmate"

Between a growl and a snarl, Kyo staggered back with defeat.

Haru smiled now seeing how things will never change especially with Kyo and Yuki's rivalry.

However. He wanted to see Yuki falter for once.

"My dear brother! I am so proud of you!" Ayame's expressions sparked with happiness and Yuki stared at him "Who invited him?"

Shigure grinned and that itself answered him. Before anyone could say anything more, Kyo snapped abruptly, startling Yuki a little.

"Fight me again, this time properly! I learned the grappling technique from master! No objections baka nezumi (stupid rat)!"

Yuki felt fatigues mentally, but he sighed instead. Rolling his shoulder to flex himself and prepare for this sparring session, Yuki mentally wished Kyo could give up for once.

"Fine, but remember I'm not paying for your bandages in future,"

"You!" With that Kyo lunged. Tohru squeaked in fear as they began to roughhouse in the middle of the living room "please be careful..."

Her innocence made Haru assure her "relax they aren't trying to murder each other for real"

She nodded hopefully, and Haru continued to observe with her. Meanwhile, Ayame and Shigure lost interest in it and were discussing things to themselves of god-knows-what?

Yuki was gaining the upper hand as usual. He hooked his feet under Kyo's ankles, which sent him stumble backwards, with thst he grabbed on to Yuki's waist for support something unintentional.

Yuki yelped loud, which is so rare for the normally composed student council president.

Kyo noticed it but was wondering if he hurt him. He backed away a little and lowered his attempts to try it again. Haru, on the other hand, had to ask, "What's up, Yuki?"

Yuki's face flushed to a lovely pink colour, which made Kyo suspicious now. "Oi. What's wrong with you?

"What...?" Yuki played dumb, still keeping his defences high. He had his back to Haru when he was distancing himself from Kyo. "I'm fine... why did you stop idiot cat,"

Haru reached to poke his waist, "When Kyo touched you here, you were stiff as a log,"

By this, Yuki cried out, "Oi, stiff cheating!"

Kyo noticed the slight quivering of Yuki's lips and then tackled him rapidly. Before Yuki could turn the tables, Kyo dug his fingers on to the delicate sides of the prince.

Yuki arched his back, squeaking like a mouse, which dragged even Shigure's attention.

"Ohh? Is the little mouse sensitive?" Haru teased first. This made Yuki blush even more, "nohoho! It does nohot!"

It's was Kyo's turn to grin like a maniac. "Well, well, finally, victory?" He added with additional wiggles to his ribs, and that made his laughter kick higher and louder. "OhohoOHOHOI! STOHOHP THAHAHAT! NOHOHO!"

Tohru had no clue how to react, for seem reason, Yuki's giggles are so cute. She felt blushing with endearment. She smiled "Yuki Is adorable..."

"AHhahaha noho fair hohohondahaha sahahan!" He whined now. Suddenly, Kyo just pinned his wrists to the side, letting him catch his breath, knowing the bronchial issue at hand.

"Adorable...? Yeah, right, it's fucking funny how unprincely he is!" Kyo mocked him and now Yuki having recovered glared back at him.

"Well, if cheating makes you triumphed, I dare say go for it! I'm not yielding such a stupid method!"

Kyo narrowed his eyes. "Cheating? I just found a weakness, and you think I'm cheating?"

Shigure joined in out of nowhere now leaning in between haru and ayame "also Yuki, laughter is the best medicine,"

"Shut uhuhup!" A surprised giggle escaped when Kyo hand magically released his wrists now tickling his tummy. He squeaked even more loudly and curled front, then twisted to the side.

This made Kyo shock a little. He was surprisingly cute for some reason, but he couldn't let that stop him "ill tickle you to submission Yuki..."

"NohohoOHOHO! PLEHEHEHEASE MAHAHAHAKE IHIHIT STAHAHAHAHAP!"

"He's begging..." Haru stated amusedly "keep going Kyo you're winning after the seven hundred and-"

"I get it, kid!" Kyo snapped at Haru but didn't stop his assault. He dug into his hips, and Yuki burst into another melody of loud cackles and giggly snorts. Kyo heard him at last.

"YOHOHOHOU WIHIHIN! CUHUHUT IHIHIT OUT NOHOHOW KYOHOHOHO!"

Stopping slowly, Kyo watched those long lashes tear stained, yuki was beautiful, and Kyo blushed a little at thst "you lost... remember?"

He was silent, breathing with giggles, but then they shrilld when Kyo poked his waist. "Ohohokay juhuhust stop! You wihin!"

Kyo cried out in triumph and now danced in enthusiasm. Yuki sighed now, relaxing a little as he watched Kyocelebrating like a child. With a huff, Haru helped him to his feet. "Never thought you'd be ticklish yun yun... huh?"

Fear seized him the moment that nickname arosed, "Please... don't tell Kakeru... that's the last thing I want!"

He smiled and nodded "I won't, I promise,"

Yuki sighed in relief and joind with tohru meanwhile hatsuharu internally began thinking...

Because he's the one who told me you're ticklish.

Grinning excitedly, they all began to tease Yuki's behaviour today, as adorable, funny, and hilarious. Yuki still denied the fact that he squeaked like a mouse and giggled like a girl until Shigure said round two was necessary.

Still, Yuki can't say he's unhappy.

Damian gets jealous for reason you never expect. He gets jealous of his brothers and when you spend time with any of them. He gets when Alfred the cat sits on you rather than him. He only got jealous at another man once and it didn't end well at all. He was all over the papers and Bruce nearly had a fit when he tried to fix what happened. K = Kiss (How do they kiss? Who initiated the first kiss?)

His favorite memory was when he was trying to teach you to draw. Damian held the utmost patience for you and he genuinely enjoyed spending that time with you. Damian likes to draw on rainy days. He's got a great talent for it and doesn't get enough time to practice it. You'll be laying on his bed while he draws and the rain patters against the window. When you get lonely, you'll stare until he notices and then pout until he joins you in his bed. The half a drawing left no longer matter, he just wishes to hold you. S = Sad (How do they cheer themselves/others up?)

Damian cheers himself up by training. He'll spend hours working out and training like he did back in the League. When he's finally wore himself out, he'll find you and pass out in your arms. That's all he needs.

When it comes to cheering you up, Damian became a great listener. He refrains from making snooty comments about the people that you are ranting about and tried to give a level headed solution to your problem. However, he's always ready to go petrify anyone that has made you upset. T = Talking (What do they like to talk about?)

Damian's got a well-rounded knowledge about everything. He could talk to you about every war that's ever happened or how the earth works. When he's in a talkative mood, he loves to spill facts about everything that he knows. It's not a way of him being cocky, he's just genuinely excited to tell you things. Damian doesn't relax. But when he does, its when he's injured or forced to stay home. You'll baby him for the night and even though he seems mad about it, he enjoys it (only when it's from you, not anyone else). Bokuto wasn’t at his best today at all. His spikes were off, his serves either hit the net or went out of bounce. Why, you might ask. well today you decided to get up early without waking up your boyfriend and go to school without waking him up. 

You walked into practice, scrolling threw something on your phone. Quickly looking up you gave the team a small smile before going to sit on the benches, your eyes going back to your phone. 

Bokuto let out another groan as you did’t give him a hug or a kiss or any type of affection. Akaashi soon caught on to what you were doing and marched over to where you were on the bench.

“Y/n-san stop ignoring bokuto-san,” the dark haired male said making you look up at his tall figure before giving him a small laugh. “how did you figure me out?” you asked while standing up and brushing your skirt. 

“Bokuto gets in his depressed mode when you ignore him,” The younger male stated before turning his body so you could see the spiked haired male whining.

You gave the second year a smile before walking over to your whining boyfriend. 

“kou are you alright?” you asked pressing a kiss to his cheek as he was hunched over. Golden hues locked into yours before Bokuto pulled you into his muscular chest.

“Are you done ignoring me?” his whispered as he nipped your ear.

“Yes sir“ you quietly responded, eyes darting around, making sure no one was looking at the two of you.

What have you done this time?” “Nothing,” Cal says, eyes set straight ahead. “Not yet.” You follow his line of sight, leaning into him gently as you do so. Straight ahead, sheltered within the grass, is a small Bogling, a creature native to Bogano - the planet you’re currently on. It digs away at the ground, brown fur flecked with soil and small pieces of gravel. It occasionally stops and looks around, displaying its large ears and eyes, which made your heart melt immediately. “Trying to get a new pet?” you ask quietly. “I can’t complain, though. Boglings are adorable.” Cal smiles. “Yeah. We have that much free time now that I figured I’d try and befriend one.” You shift to sit on the grass, moving as quietly as you can as to not scare the small creature only mere feet away. Cal rocks forward on his feet slightly, reaching his hand out. “Hey, little guy,” he says softly. “Come here, I want to be friends.” The bogling’s eyes dart up to Cal and stare at him for a second. You almost think that the creature will hop up to Cal and befriend him but, instead, it hops away from the hole it was digging, making small squeaking sounds as it scurries away. “And I thought Jedi were meant to be able to connect with animals,” you say, smiling. Cal rolls his eyes. “Meant to being the keywords.” You laugh. “Is that you, then?” “Nope.” Cal raises from the ground to stand. “I am going to be friends with a bogling.” “Well, have fun with that, Cal,” you say with a smile. “I’ll be on the Mantis.” You stand and press a kiss to his cheek before making your way back to the ship you called home. You spent the rest of your afternoon watching Cal from the Mantis, which kept you pretty entertained. Every time Cal got close to bonding with one of the little boglings, something would spook them and send them hopping away. One got so scared it hopped into Cal, which sent him tumbling back into a pool of water. He emerged from the puddle, poncho, clothes and hair alike soaked - you and Merrin had a good laugh at that. After hours - you had no clue that Cal was that determined to have a bogling friend - your boyfriend finally stepped into the Mantis, grinning. “Well?” you say. “Did you get one?” Cal nods and points down to a bogling who hops into the ship. Just like the others, it’s adorable and you just want to hug it forever. “You better look after that thing,” Greez says. “I don’t want it eating my plants.” “Ah, it’s fine,” Cal says, waving his hand. “I’m sure it’ll just go outside for its food -” Cal stops himself as he catches sight of his new friend over by Greez’s plant collection. It quickly extracts a seed from the soil and hops out of the ship, Greez following just behind, shouting at the poor creature. You can’t help but smile at how proud of himself Cal looks, even though the bogling just did exactly what he said it wouldn’t. His hair is all mussed and his cheeks are almost the colour of his hair, but the grin means everything to you. “Good job,” you say. “Merrin never thought you’d get it done.” “I never said that,” the Nightsister says with a laugh. “I said we’d be old before he got one.” “Same difference.” You make your way over to Cal and give him a quick hug before recoiling. “I forgot you fell in that water,” you say, shaking droplets of water off your arms. “Go get into some dry clothes before you freeze, Cal.” Cal smiles. “Will do, ma’am.” You roll your eyes and playfully smack his arm. “I’ll keep an eye on your new friend,” you say as the bogling hops back into the ship, scurrying behind your feet. “Greez won’t even get near the little guy.”

Honestly making jokes is like my only personality trait so it's hard to remember one 🤔 though I still haven't stopped thinking about the time I said Matsuo's (from mob psycho 100) ghost container has so many stickers it looks like a gay person's laptop.

I dress in alot of wide legged jeans and knitted sweaters/baggy t-shirts. Lots of earth tones. Though when I'm picking out clothes I usually am looking for interesting textures more than anything.

If I'm being honest, I'm not much of a history person. I guess any time before humans existed lmao.

Lily of the valleys are SO pretty and it's always a joy when I come across them. But I also really enjoy the black spruce (do trees count as plants??) because it has a really interesting symbiotic relationship with the entire boreal forest. Fascinating things.

Right now I'm absolutely fascinated with hares. They're so expressive. Though I have to say cats are my favourite. I have three so its only fitting.

Daniel Stark (OC) Fluff ABC

A = Attractive (What do they find attractive about the other?) - Daniel has two things that he finds the most attractive, personality and looks. The guy can be the hottest guy ever, but they won’t get anywhere without being a good person. “Luckily Peter is both hot AND a good boy.”

B = Baby (Do they want a family? Why/Why not?) - Oh for sure Daniel wants a family. Eventually, He and Peter will have kids. Now, how many? That’s still being figured out. “We’re naming our son Benjamin. I think that’s a given.” Daniel says making Peter cry.

C = Cuddle (How do they cuddle?) - Little spoon, face pressed into Peter’s chest. He’s like a koala. Tony has walked into the living room many times to find the two passed out and clinging onto each other. “Pft. Gross.”

D = Dates (What are dates with them like?) - It really depends on what he and Peter want to do. If they’re feeling romantic they can be SO romantic. Daniel pulls out all the stops for Peter, not leaving out any details. If they’re both feeling lazy but still want to do something, Daniel will conjure up food for them and watch movies.

“I hope you’re enjoying date night Peter.”

“I am! Still can’t believe we’re at a restaurant at the bottom of the ocean.”

E = Everything (You are my ____ (e.g. my life, my world…)) - “You’re my entire universe, Peter. There isn’t anything I wouldn’t do for you.”

F = Feelings (When did they know they were in love?) - Daniel started feeling...feelings for Peter when he saw how the boy really did care for people and protected them no matter what. But he knew he was in LOVE when he saw the way Peter laughed at his dad’s stupid jokes like they were the best treasure in the world.

G = Gentle (Are they gentle? If so, how?) - It depends really. Daniel IS a gentle person by nature...but sometimes, especially in bed, he can get rough.

H = Hands (How do they like to hold hands?) - Believe it or not, Daniel actually doesn’t like holding hands. He does if Peter really wants some, but Danny doesn’t like how holding hands makes him feel clammy. However, he totally does grab Peter’s hand if things start looking bad or scary.

I = Impression (What was their first impression?) - Oh, Daniel and Peter got off on such a bad start. Daniel saw Peter as a replacement to him even though Tony tried to make it clear that wasn’t the case. Of course, that didn’t mean anything when he saw how Tony and Peter acted together. Daniel constantly tormented Peter at the beginning and used his magic to prank him all the time.

“Danny, I love you, you’re my son. So please...please stop messing with Peter.”

“I will when you two stop trying to replace me.”

“We’re not replacing you! Now please, get rid of that spider.”

“Mr.Stark please help me! It’s so big!”

J = Jealousy (Do they get jealous?) - Oh yes. Yes, Daniel gets very jealous. I mean take how he reacted to Peter and Tony at first. Then after they started dating anyone who flirted with Peter was in the danger zone. It was even worse because by then, Daniel had mastered more of his magic.

“Danny come on. Change him back!” Peter said as he lifted up his hand with a three-inch tall guy on it that Daniel had shrunk.

“I will when he apologizes for flirting with you.”

“Danny…”

K = Kiss (How do they kiss? Who initiated the first kiss?) - He loves to give passionate kisses. He wants all of his love to pour into Peter. He also of course does the quick pecks on the cheek when in a rush or feeling spontaneous. I feel like Peter actually would have been the one to start the first kiss. It was probably after some big battle and he just had that adrenaline to do it.

“Oh...sorry.”

Daniel of course pulled him right back in for more.

L = Love (Who says ‘I love you’ first?) - Oh this is a hard one. I might have to come back to it.

M = Memory (What’s their favourite memory together?) - Their favorite memory together would probably be when Tony had sent them both on a ‘business trip to the Carribeans and they got to relax for an entire two weeks. They got to stay in the Stark vacation house there and got to just be a couple and not heroes or a Stark.

“Can we not go back? Can we just...stay here forever?”

“I agree. Let’s tell dad we just got lost.”

N = Nickel (Do they spoil? Do they buy the person they love everything?) - Daniel really does spoil Peter. Daniel likes to show his love through gifts and will buy ridiculous things just because he thinks Peter will like them. It’s easier for Daniel, not only cause he’s a Stark, but because he can conjure literally anything Peter wants.

O = Orange (What colour reminds them of their other half?) - Red is the color that always makes him think of Peter. Especially if it’s paired with blue and black. It’s mostly because of his suit.

P = Pet names (What pet names do they use?) - Daniel has totally called Peter: Petey, Spidey, Honey, bug-boy.

Q = Quaint (What is their favourite non-modern thing?) - Cuddles. Daniel is a serial cuddler and he wants lots of them when he can. Peter doesn’t object, he loves cuddles too.

R = Rainy Day (What do they like to do on a rainy day?) - Honestly Daniel was probably the one to create the rain. Usually Danny tries his water magic whenever it rains or if he’s not feeling it, continue whatever he was doing inside. Honestly, a rainy day doesn’t change anything except his mood. He really likes when it rains.

S = Sad (How do they cheer themselves/others up?) - Daniel crashes in bed whenever he’s sad. That or he escapes to his own pocket dimension because when he’s sad, his magic could start to get away from him and he doesn’t need that to happen.

If someone else is upset, he’ll do everything in his power to make them feel better. From using his magic to just sitting and talking. Anything.

T = Talking (What do they like to talk about?) - Honestly just mention something about magic or dinosaurs and he’ll talk your ears off about them. He also loves talking about his family, but he likes to keep what he says pretty close to him.

U = Unencumbered (What helps them relax?) - Spending time with his dads or with Peter is a big help. He also loves to write to let things out.

V = Vaunt (What do they like to show off? What are they proud of?) - His dads and Peter. They’re the best things in his life and he loves showing them off. Not even his magic gets as much attention as they do.

W = Wedding (When, how, where do they propose?) - Call him a sap. Daniel will propose to Peter in his dad’s lab where they first met saying exactly that. However, neither are ready for that just yet so...mark that in your calendar.

X = Xylophone (What’s their song?) - the lightning strike by snow patrol.

Y = Yes (Do they ever think of getting married/proposing?) - Oh yeah, Daniel totally thinks of it. But again, they’re both too young and neither are ready for it, so they’re going to take their time and not rush things.

Z = Zebra (If they wanted a pet, what would they get?) - They end up getting a cat and dog. Daniel wanted a cat and Peter wanted a dog. Neither would compromise so that’s how they ended up with both.

the biggest conundrum of this AU was, how are jily not going to have met in school when magic exists? the solution was, of course, having multiple magic schools. but i couldn't let one of them have hogwarts, that didn't seem fair. i know i did sort of let lily have it..... but i felt more comfortable making hogwarts a university so there was a legit reason why james wasn't there and in gryffindor (if he'd gone he absolutely would have been)

once solved, i did the fun thing of naming them! ottaline gambol's was easy, i just scrolled through the list of ministers for magic and picked a progressive one. peverell hall was a whim, made all the funnier when lily's reaction is:

Much was made at Otty’s — one of the more progressive magical schools, named for one of the more progressive Ministers of Magic — of schools like Peverell Hall and St. George’s. The latter, I know, is chock-full of pureblooded elite. Peverell Hall is supposed to be slightly better, but still.

also, another interesting challenge here was making sure james has a reason to be the way he is in AU. i love playing around with james's childhood/background and seeing how that affects his character while (hopefully!) staying true to who he is. i did that in ttfs by having him move around a lot and not meet the marauders until after the flashback timeline, which is why he's less of a git — he doesn't have the level of comfort in a social setting that canon james has with hogwarts, which is basically his playground from day 2 of first year lol

here, james was probably a fkn nightmare all through school, but of course he gets a big ego check when his quidditch career is derailed. i imagine his years in italy as a continuation of that humility lesson.

I will fully admit I used to be a cocky prick. This is what comes of being a kid who grew up with everything. But one useful thing that the whole fiasco four years ago taught me is humility. I’ve learned how to ask nicely for another chance.

and so much of writing him in wtrf is juggling that typical confidence with the insecurity/fear of losing something he's invested so much in (and has seen slip away before). it's really new to me, because typically i give lily uncertain life circumstances, but i suppose it's both of them in this AU.

the car thing was... i swear didn't start out as smutty, it was purely because i wanted a way to establish lily as muggleborn in a world where the connotations of not having magical parents is very different. more to come on that!

also, come to think of it, by this metric...

literally the whole world knows i'm obsessed with needle drops that have no subtlety at all, but this one...

We just laugh, tangled together in a sweaty heap, as “Heaven Is in the Back Seat of My Cadillac” plays through the car’s speakers. “On the nose, isn’t it?” James says, sitting up.

...was pure luck, because i was looking up the top hits on the uk singles chart for the week(ish) this scene takes place in so that i could find a song that would realistically play on the radio, saw this, and was like omg the stars really do align

i feel like the thing i enjoy most about writing romance is the importance i get to place in noticing/looking/observing (and sometimes, not noticing!). it's just such a powerful but simple writerly tool, and god knows i am obsessed with pithy descriptions anyway, so this bit i am especially happy with:

James is already waiting, leaning against the car with his hands in his pockets. I feel as though I’m seeing him for the first time, the faint light of the flickering streetlamp catching him in profile: the strong slope of his nose, the hard line of his jaw, the curve of his smile. He studies the facade of our building with open curiosity, and I wonder what he’s looking for.

(one can only imagine james's train of thought in this moment. perhaps "ah. here lives the future love of my life"?)

“Thanks,” she tacks on at the end. I tip my head to one side in confusion. “For what?” “For, I don’t know. Being nice.” She laughs awkwardly. “I don’t do this very much.”

it wouldn't be a quibblah original tee em without some discourse to come about the nature of romantic/sexual relationships, would it? one thing i enjoy about this AU ("one thing" i say as if this isn't the billionth thing in a list) is that i get to write a romantic lily who's squaring that romanticism with what she perceives as the culture of the times. (this is a bit of a staple in all my characterisations of lily, but it is not often paired with casual sex, the complication of all complications!)

oh this bit literally wrote itself like i didn't even pause to think just vomited it out:

In the morning — and it must be early still — the sun streams through Lily’s sorry excuses for curtains with aggression that cannot be ignored. I crack open an eye to find myself sprawled out across her bed, quite literally spread-eagled. She’s attached to my side like a barnacle. Or a very pretty barnacle, anyway.

i'm especially proud of james's voice in this story. i don't often write first-person fic and i was worried how it'd turn out, but i think james as a character/narrator typically colours his own 3rd-person narration so strongly that it ended up a smoother transition than i'd feared!

also i just. i can't resist throwing in comic relief and i hope that this whole segment was a gentle enough preparation for the awkwardness that followed LOL

All of a sudden, the balcony door bursts open. I nearly drop the mug. “What the—” Mary pokes her head around the corner, sporting a righteous smile. “Morning, handsome.” Over her shoulder she shouts, “He’s on the balcony!” I blink. There’s a sound from inside the flat, as if something very large has just been dropped. Then a swear. “Oh, shit,” I say, realisation dawning, “you weren’t looking for me, were you? It’s so loud out here—” Mary cups a hand around her mouth and stage-whispers, “Lily was frantic.” She’s quite violently yanked back, and Lily herself appears in the doorway, slightly out of breath. “Should’ve checked the balcony first,” she says, and closes the door before Mary can insert herself into the space again. “Hi,” I say, which is agreed-upon best practice for greeting a woman you’ve just had fantastic sex with and ideally would like to have sex with again.

to this day i don't know what lily dropped. let's hope it wasn't expensive!

Captained the under-17 English squad at the World Cup some years back, Serie Primo’s lead goal-scorer of last year… Only an injury in what should’ve been his first season at Puddlemere mars his record. I wince reading about it and comparing it to a heap of press clippings. James Potter was hurt, and Puddlemere didn’t fancy paying for him not to play, so they shipped him off to Milan.

(you cannot imagine how much pointed interrogation of my brother it took to gather this intel.) i constantly worry that i've got dates or timelines wrong somehow — you might notice i tweaked under-17, which used to be under-19 until i realised that made no sense (even though in terms of its career importance i would much preferred it to have been u-19.... anyway). i also found out that u-17 football squads don't actually have captains but i said fuck it on that count.

but obviously i started writing this AU for the sports possibilities, only to discover i'm going to have to interfere a great deal with the Timeline (you shall see in future instalments).

and this technique has worked ever since his first year in uni so he’s stuck with it ever since

as long as he doesn’t flunk out of anything he’s fine!!!

but since getting to know you yoongi has adopted new techniques into his studying routine that doesn’t just include skimming over poorly taken notes from class for 5 minutes and then scrolling through instagram for 45 minutes and then taking a 2 hour nap

your eyes widen in excitement

you narrow your eyes suspiciously and yoongi shrugs

there’s no way he’d be able to get all of your questions right

obviously it’d be great if he got all of them right because that means these tutoring sessions are actually working but then again it’s yoongi

yoongi who uses pipettes to squeeze tiny spurts of air in your face just because ‘it’s fun!!’

“i told you you have to close your eyes to play my game.” yoongi reaches over to shut your notebook after he catches you glancing at it (to make sure he actually got the answers right and you didn’t misread anything) for the fifth time in two minutes

you have to accept defeat whether you like it or not

you let out a sigh before crossing your arms and shutting your eyes “what are the rules of this game? how does one win?”

“i’m going to show you something-“ you hear yoongi unzip his backpack “and you have to identify what it is and tell me what its purpose is within 30 seconds.”

“so i win just by doing that?” your brows furrow and you resist the urge to open your eyes

“i guess you could say that.” you hear yoongi’s footsteps against the carpet and you freeze when you feel him standing right in front of you

“alright, open your eyes.” you immediately open them and-

“so, tell me, y/n-” yoongi lets out a sigh before glancing up at the mistletoe that he’s holding up in between the two of you “what do we have here?”

you swallow thickly and keep your eyes glued on the mistletoe

you could easily win this game right here and now so u don’t know what’s stopping you

you can feel yoongi staring at you and you know that if you make eye contact with him right now you will definitely combuST into flames

“that’s, um, well, i’m not a, uh, i’m not a botanist or anything, but that is a… that’s mistletoe.” you clear your throat “that is… mistletoe.”

“uh-huh. and, remind me again - isn’t mistletoe particularly special this time of the year?” yoongi hums and takes a step closer to you

you jump a little when you feel the bottom of the whiteboard dig into the small of your back

the little metal tray holding the whiteboard markers clatters a marker plops to the ground but you’ll deal with that later

yoongi resists the urge to roll his eyes

he knows exactly what you’re doing (out of nervous habit) but for your sake he’ll play along

“yep. and another fun fact! the mistletoe plant actually contains toxic amines, and eating its berries can cause vomiting and stomach pain.”

“…didn’t you say you weren’t a botanist-”  

“-but if we’re talking about its relevance to the christmas holidays, then… well, traditionally, people, um, people… kiss underneath them.” you finish quietly and your eyes instinctively flicker down to yoongi’s pouty lips

“i like you a lot, y/n.” yoongi breathes out and you feel your heart hiccup

your cheeks flush and you feel the heat rushing up to your ears

a couple seconds of silence goes by and you wonder if yoongi can hear your heart pounding in your chest

“if you don’t feel the same way, i-“

“i like you too.” you murmur shyly and yoongi lets out what sounds like a breath of relief

before he gets the chance to roAST you for taking so long to finally admit it to him, you’re pushing your lips against his in a gentle kiss with your hand pressed against his cheek

it takes yoongi a second to register that you initiated a kiss with him but once his brain catches up to his body, he starts kissing you back

a smile tugs at his mouth when you take a step closer to him and he automatically loops an arm around your waist before carelessly tossing the mistletoe aside

yoongi tilts his head as he deepens the kiss and the quiet ‘fuck’ he lets out when you nip at his bottom lip almost immediately makes you lightheaded

it’s when you’re reminded that literally anyone passing by the room would be able to see you through the glass door that you drag yourself away (reluctantly) and yoongi unintentionally lets out a whine

“so did i win?” your cheeks are still rosy and your heart is still racing but you’re trying to play it off as if you’re totally cool about kissing yoongi and that you’re totally cool about the mutual attraction between the two of you but that fact that you’re kinda bouncing on the balls of your feet like an excited child is probably not helping your case

and yoongi’s smiling so widely his cheeks are starting to hurt but it’s totally worth it

JUMPING ON THIS BAND WAGGON

Ok here’s my 2020, tw//mentions of suicide and abuse

(Strong start lmao) 2020 sucked ass lemmi tell ya. This year was a fucking train wreck from the start, ur hay I got character development so who cares. Well let’s start with a review, bad things first.

Yall remember when everyone was scared shields of COVID?. Lol. But that’s stating the obvious. When we went into lockdown I was first like fuck yeah summer lol, but then the threat of ‘staying home for the rest of the year’ set in, bing in my first year of sixth form I really understand the stakes of exams next year. So having to stay home for the rest of the year freaked me the fuck out. I literally couldent cope, having to do all classes online was fucking hell, they were never zoom classes either, just ‘lmao do the work and hand it in’ which was near impossible for me. I was also in the constant ‘oh no I’m so stressed but I will do NOTHING about this lmao~’. As the days turned to weeks and inevitably MONTHS, my mental health said buckle up bitches. Days were spent sitting in my room on my phone doing NOTHING, meanwhile this perpetual notion of stress played in my head yet there I sat not having the will or motion to move.

Then my parents got involved. Now THATS when shit went from pretty crummy to awful, now I was living with them constantly I was able to see who they really were with no real filter. And oh god do I have issues, I didn’t even fucking know. Every day was an argument, my mom was the worst, the MANIPULATION, the constant ‘you're tearing this family apart’ or ‘so I’m the problem?’ Or the fucking indecent playing the victim. And I all only just realised, that they have been doing this ALL MY LIFE. Dad got involved but he was just physically violent, only twice tho. The worst part was my work, admittedly yes, I didn’t do everything I was given, but I tried, I really did with what little motivation I had. But with just one ‘oh your daughter hasn’t handed in this work’ I was a ‘lazy, good for nothing failure’ to quote ‘who will never go anywhere in life’ so I’d spend the rest of the day crying while they play the victim bury saupying I was abusing their love and just using them for money. But the next day be like ‘oh I’m so proud of you you're doing so well’ having that statement being completely unrelated to the previous events. This was constant. So that’s that story. I won’t talk much about Black Lives Matter because we all know about how that went. But it really affected me, I found myself crying over the victims multiple times. And the lack of support for the movement my peers or family showed made it fucking worse. Crying was a common occurrence for me now, mental health really taking a nosedive, being too scared to call myself ‘depressed’ or ‘mentally ill’ to any extent because I know I’m faking it and just want validation. That was also constant. Fun times huh.

BUT IT GETS WORSE 🥲, then I had to go back to school, awful to fucking abhorrent now. Year two of sixth form fun right? Sure, if u take away the ‘no free time period’ or the wanting to kill mystery for literally a whole 3 weeks. That was my lowest peak. Ever. I’ve never wanted to kill myself before then, don’t like that feeling. Shocker huh. That mixed with the constant anxiety of nothing is right anymore and also needing to succeed at school all made one healthy dose of ‘.exe has stopped working’ juice. Yet I played the fool, acting happy as if nothing had happened, or was happening at least, and venting by imagining scenes in my head with fictional characters lmao. Telling myself ’u can’t kill yourself because u don’t deserve too and ur just asking for attraction’. Then midterms happened blah blah blah, stress but I’m numb to it now that whole story.

But that’s not to say there wasn’t a silver lining.

Onto the good things finally, yes the year was probably one of the worst years I’ve been through in my life it did not go without its positives. For example early this year I got into borderlands properly, I finally explored the fandom and had a look at what it was like. Albeit a slow process considering I was still predominantly on Instagram at the time, and finding a community of a fandom on there is impossible. I started browsing Pinterest or the Internet for images that would link to my favourite characters, Who were to no ones surprise is the calypso twins. Pinterest led me to artworks and artworks led me to the infamous Lazulizard. Who I cherish all my being. Three weeks later after looking at her entire tumblr blog and stalking her of pretty much all her content (sorry for that by the way) I found border-spam. By this point I didn’t have tumblr and I had no intention of getting it seeing as an ongoing war I’ve had with myself since 2012, declaring I will be the bigger man and never get tumblr, which in hindsight was an awful mindset. Seeing as tumblr is probably one of my favourite places on Earth right now. But after also stalking border spams account, again sorry, and starving her of any content she’d ever posted. I was happy that this fandom although as niche as it is was actually getting content. At the time spam and lazu were absolute gods to me. Being the sole producer of a fandom I probably wasn’t even in properly, having both impeccable writing and impeccable art like good God. I would often think ‘wow wouldn’t it be incredible if I actually got to talk to them one day’, now look at me I’m doing commissions for both of them good God. And to be short joining tumblr felt like a fever dream and it’s probably the greatest thing I could’ve done this year, my parents are wrong, talking to strangers is amazing.

Something notable of mention this year as I actually got to figure out who I am as a person, I was able to find my own style and to find my interests, specifically in what I liked in terms of clothing. I thought I was LOL 2012 goth hipster but no apparently I’m manic Pixie dream girl. Going from pink is the ugliest colour in the world to having it be the only colour I will ever wear. I made some pretty big choices this year like cutting pretty much all of my hair off and dying it for the first time. Thanks strict parents for only letting me do that one now. But like I said I went to a character Ark and you know what I like it. I also played BioShock fallout and horizon zero dawn for the first time this year starting to really feel like a proper epic gamer, good lord kill me, and falling in love with all of them almost immediately. I also figured out on a plant mum and I’m into vulture culture although my parents have to disagree with that one. Asking to buy an Horse and fox skull somehow scared them a little bit can’t seem to figure out why lmao.

So a conclusion, Fuck you 2020 you made me miss two comic cons and I will never forgive you for that shit I am SO mad. But I will give you the benefit of the doubt you did make me meet some absolutely incredible people who I consider my friends, despite going against every single Internet safety law I was ever taught as a child. But you know what who gives a flying shit I love you guys. So that’s what I wanted to say. I want to say thank you to everyone on here and everyone is following me or even interacted me with on that matter. You mean the world to me and I really fucking mean it. Are you going to be nothing but amazing ever since I walked onto this fucking hell hole. And what I go through all of this bullshit again if it means I ended up here? You know what I think I just might. So again I thank you and I hope your year didn’t go as badly as mine, and fuck it bring on whatever the fucks next!

Honourable mention of this year was The time Elisa actually complimented me and I cried a little bit and had a panic attack but you know that’s for another day
