Hi, SO SORRY about how long this took, been swamped! But some more Holograms for you! Julie and Bobby are... supposed to start actually kinda talking in this scene, but they're not cooperating much so far...

Julie stared out the window, wilfully ignoring the tension in the air. It wasn’t actually silent, LA never was regardless of the time of day or night, but neither she nor Bobby had made any attempt at conversation beyond checking directions in the 20 minutes they’d been on the road. The boys had all fallen asleep right away, Alex snoring softly and Reggie practically lying across Luke’s lap. 

She could tell Bobby was stealing glances at her every so often, probably because she was doing the same thing. There were suddenly a million questions running through her mind about this weird guy who was an ‘intern’ but also apparently related to Caleb Covington? And was somehow set up to run HGC Records in the future? But hated his job? And, on a more personal note, she couldn’t help but wonder what he meant about ‘knowing a lot about grief’. As much as he’d mostly been a jerk so far, a part of her wondered if he’d get what she meant if she brought up her mom and how music felt after losing her. But that was also a super rude thing to just ask someone, right?

marx is a really attention seeking guy. thrives out of getting a rise from other people. pre super star though, i don't think he has any real friends despite being a common sight due to his tricksterisms and funny things. i don't think he's done this in canon really, but personally i like to make it so that marx used to work under dedede. you know. big castle, you think it has cool stuff, should give pretty good benefits to staff right? but then kirby's dream land happens and hes like Bro this Sucks and skedaddles. so yeah no meaningful relationships

i like the idea that marx is friendly with kirby pre kirby super star, but i don't think it's a relationship that can really be described as "friends" more than "staying on good terms and excitedly saying hi whenever you see each other, have a little small talk, and go separate ways." i mean, to kirby, they're friends. i don't think marx knows this when he asks kirby for help in milky way wishes, he's relying on kirby's helpful nature the trust is just kind of a bonus. as for why marx soul is like that i dont fucking know man these are random ass thoughts

as for his relationship with magolor it's the average They meet after Marx Blows Up and magolor is in the area and like Damn well i'm not gonna leave that guy out there am i. then bla bla friends (menaces) and puts the idea of nabbing that crown from landia. less of an intentional thing you know, but even if marx blew up he still kinda had something to show for it you knoe. the wings and the nova power. i can't say why they'd part ways (i don't know either) but basically before that they enjoyed some weird shit like pranking randos maybe Way Too Hard

anyways, after they part ways, marx probably goes planet hopping for a bit but eventually settles back on popstar. guys got the wanderer bones in him but i really think he thinks life on popstar is swell. he wanted to rule it for a reason i guess?? also the nearby planets he can fly to are Pretty Empty. I think.i actually genuinely don;t inow what im saying though im making a lot of this on the spot

reason for thinking marx has been hiding out on planet popstar: he's readily available in kirby star allies from the first dream palace. i know the dream rod summons them but like for my purposes i think it's just kinda like YOU. COME HERE.

okay but you know who else is in wave 1 that's right rick kine coo and gooey. i think they become friends. i think they're marx's first real friends (if you count them becoming friends while marx is disguised? they keep it up even after they find out. trying to be the kirby they want to see in the world or something.) like i got a little idea where its kinda like Damn i kinda wanna Fuck Up Everything but then he experiences laughing With people and not just Laughing at or Being laughed at and is like Fuuuckkk this is kindasick actually. UGH plans POSTPONED!! he is still 100% a shithead though these improvements dont really happen until marx drops his disguise after he meets magolor again (between rtdl and dream collection)

as for marx and magolor's reconciliation i feel like it's really smooth at first while magolor recovers from an arduous warp or whatever but when magolor starts showing discomfort at the ... hobbies marx has there starts to be tension because marx starts feeling like magolor is ignoring him and doesn't want to associate (even if magolor does want to keep being friends). however they deal with that is still up in the air but it required a lot of arguing, magolor apology to the dream team, marx blowing his "presumed dead" cover just to cover for magolor on something, etc. stuff that shows both parties really value their friendship even after they've changed and paths diverged quite a bit. fyi their arguments are so fucking bombastic because they WERE so SIMILAR that any insults they toss at the other is a double edged sword, and evidences some kind of self loathing

for marx's relationship with kirby i honestly think they're chill. but ofc marx exasperates kirby at times.

also marx has to get hisinfo from somewhere so i think he does in fact read stuff. only stuff interesting to him but he does read and when he does he Reads reads. thats how the Loser hatched his plan regarding nova anyways. somehow taranza finds outabout this and hes like Oh my god someone who understands media. Marx vehemently denies this (but cannot resist screaming at other people who have shit takeaways from x book he likes) (Marx has opinions on notoriously polarizing character Eon based on historical figure Aeon Hero) (not anything i consider important just something funny)

I'm a sucker for XemSai (as I'm sure everyone knows well by now) but I'm also a big sucker for LauriEven/MarVex and one of my big headcanons for the latter is that post kh3 when things have settled down, Lauriam and Isa hang out. Isa is friends with Even more than Lauriam but. I really really like the idea of Lauriam perhaps approaching Isa and just being normal around him? They go out on coffee runs and just talk, they meet up every so often to catch up, talk about how Lea and the kids are and how Radiant Garden is coming together again and yes the flowers here are so nice and I understand why you would want to live here and I Just! Really Like! Isa being a supportive character towards semi-dad-figure Even and now that everyone is cool and not wanting to murder each other Lauriam is actually really civil and dare he think it even good for dear old Even and Isa just kinda! Likes him! They become friends. Like friends with no baggage, no pressure, just hey if Isa swings around RG way again do you wanna get lunch and catch up? Theyre just normal guys now with a lot in common and a future ahead and its just comfortable having someone similar a phonecall away that is happy to listen and provide a fresh outlook on daily things, yknow?

I think. all the time. About a LauriEven marriage where Isa is asked at the reception to dance with them both because he's like. Even sees him as 'one of the kids he saw grow up' and they bonded over their work and they've always gotten along, surrogate son and dad relationship, and Lauriam, softened and approachable with his new heart just as Isa is, feels able to reach out and know that Isa is ever-reliable and genuinely wants things to be better for everyone. I just think that they'd make really really nice like family-friends who platonically love and appreciate each other once they have hearts..... as Nobodies, maybe not so much ahsdgahskd

they’re the Leaders. leo gives the orders and donnie is there to ensure it’s executed properly. he’s leo’s confidant. he looks after mikey for him and keeps raph in check. he bears some of the weight for leo so he doesn’t have the shoulder it all alone and it’s just. they’re so obviously each others best friends it’s so :(((

and then outside of crime fighting and all the angst they would for SURE be like a pair of old grandmas together. raph and mike are reckless and loud and crazy and leo and don are so calm and soft spoken and grounded. they’d be nerds together and watch star trek when the insomnia hits, or they’d geek out over bootleg musical vhs tapes they find at the dump (donnie is a big Rent fan and leo is a sucker for Les Mis) they would absolutely play chess together and in the afternoons when there’s nothing to do, they’ll sit and do sudoku puzzles together, making up their own for the other when they run out of one’s to complete.

they’re constantly teaming up to wrangle their crazy little brothers and they bond over that (maybe some shared eldest daughter syndrome trauma..?) but they’ll always be best friends :)

Umineko: Episode 1 // Review & Thoughts

I was initially NOT going to do this since I played Episode 1 long ago last year, but since I'm doing this from episode 3 to 8, might as well have these.

I have daily logs with my reading sessions' reactions and thoughts, but I'll try to find my highlights and summarize everything!

P.S.: There are youtube previews but they break inside my blog's theme, so they won't look as good, but I refuse not to show them, hmph!

This Episode was definitely more of an introduction, even though we seem to get introduced to new concepts, characters and even plot points with each chapter—just like with Higurashi. They do have the same author, after all.

One of the most common complaint I hear from folks about this episode is that it's too much of a slog at the beginning and while I can understand people's issues with pacing in general, I disagree. Maybe I just read too fast and am used to slow pacing, but I feel like people are just too used to having everything quickly presented to them without having to wait at all.

I see this same complaint with Higurashi and I gotta say: it's exactly BECAUSE it's not scary and mysterious from the bat, that when it does become crazy, you feel it. And it's gradual, even at that stage. You can see that as you go further: so far, this is the tamest episode yet and each ones outdoes the previous.

Anyway: I really enjoyed this as a first episode. It truly felt like an Agatha Christie and then it went 180 on it, just like I was expecting from Ryuukishi.

The incest jokes are fortunately short and quick to end, and I get why they'd bother so many people looking for a serious story, but at the same time I feel like people made too much of a ruckus over it. Battler is a horny teen and hasn't seen his family in 6 years; while that doesn't excuse him being a creep, this is clearly meant to be a funny scene and not be taken seriously. You can either laugh it off, roll your eyes or just ignore it, not drop the VN altogether—though if you can't take some tasteless jokes, you wouldn't last the entire ride for how long it is (lol)

I really like how similar yet so different the MCs from Higurashi and Umineko are. While they are both lovable perverts, Keiichi is quick to paranoia and doubting his friends; meanwhile, Battler shows a strong resolve to never doubt his family to the very end. ...This might age poorly depending on future episodes.

PLOT

Honestly, the score doesn't matter that much to me anymore. Especially not when I've read further and have been therefore corrupted with more exciting scenes.

This might be the less out-there scenario, and I appreciate it for what it is. This is basically Ryuukishi saying "hold on to your seats, this is gonna be crazy, but for now, just take it all in and get ready."

On the other hand, the family drama got INTENSE. Eva being voiced by Takano's VA makes so much sense, her being so sly and scheming. Poor Natsuhi, she's a bit too serious for her own good, but Eva is just a bully T^T

The scene where the first twilight happens is too much of a banger!!! I was not to control my emotions: I didn't know whether to dance or to grieve/be shocked. Ugh. But I'll talk more about it in my Soundtrack part.

Also, I just fucking love all the subtle (and not so subtle) references to Higurashi. It's really lovely to see a connection to one of my favorite VNs ever.

And those are my thoughts for the plot itself! I'll be talking about other aspects of the game after, but before, we still have the Tea Party and ??? chapters to talk about!

I knew beforehand there would be something akin to the All-Cast Review Session (from Higurashi) but it certainly surprised me. I was expecting a 20-minute read and I got 2 hours of reading AND a direct connection to the main plot??? Bonkers.

Plus, Battler was so badass the whole time, even if I called him an idiot a few times before this.

Oh yeah, and he was a bit of a savage at times LOL

CHARACTERS

Since this is the introduction, most characters are still very barebones compared to how far they've come where I currently am. HOWEVER! Ryuukishi is a fucking madlad writing characters.

Everyone feels like their own person with their own faults and liking points. Hell, he plays you like a puppet whose strings have been cut masterfully, shaping your opinion of certain characters just for that illusion to be broken along with our tame expectations of them.

Ushiromiya Battler

My cutie patotie, my little meow meow.

He started off a big incestuous weirdo but he's more mature than he shows, being all considerate for people around him and never being malicious. I love him.

Oh yeah, the whiplash I got from hearing Akasaka's voice is no joke-

Ushiromiya Rudolf

He's a dork and not a great father, it seems. I like his character but I know I wouldn't stand him irl. Though to be fair, I would be more like Maria—but we'll get there in a sec.

Ushiromiya Kyrie

MY WIFEEEE 🛐🛐🛐

I just love Kyrie no matter the episode. She's badass, reliable, but always mysterious. I never thought those "cool" mysterious characters were all that until I met her.

Ushiromiya Eva

MY QUEEN, SLAY 💅🏻✨ Jokes aside, she's a fucking great character. She might have a venomous tongue and be very shitty at times, but that's what makes her her.

Ushiromiya Hideyoshi

Hideyoshi is my utmost "can do no wrong" pick. What a wholesome and cute husband, especially to someone like Eva. God have mercy on this man.

Ushiromiya George

George is another cutie patotie, but he makes me a bit suspicious. I don't know, while Battler is just a pure-hearted goofball, George seems a bit more formal, more intentional with his behaviour and acting. Maybe it's just the glasses... Probably.

I gotta say though, some of the phrasing in his scenes with Shannon (or Sayo, I guess) are uuuuhm... I'd call this a red flag. Unless they were both into it, I guess lmao

Ushiromiya Krauss

I still remember my first impression of him:

He doesn't stand out particularly in this episode, so I won't make any comments. He does remind me of one of my uncles. As I said: insufferable.

Ushiromiya Natsuhi

So far (currently on episode 3), this is her episode. Maybe we'll get further character development (I hope so!) but for now, this a Natsuhi-centered episode. She starts off rather traditional and even cruel to servants, but she quickly earned my respect as the leader of the group, when the murders start happening.

Kinzo acknowledging Natsuhi as an Ushiromiya made me tear up 🥺💗

So many queens in this game 👑

Ushiromiya Jessica

I find Jessica a bit lame as a character. Maybe I'm just an adult, but her whole teen drama felt a bit too much. I mean, I get it; hell, it could even be envy... My own mother is mostly a Natsuhi-type and I can relate to Jessica's feeling, but I have grown up more contained—afraid— than her, let's just say. (Growing up autistic + ADHDer and undiagnosed with a overworked mother who now rejects my official diagnosis does things to you lol)

Ushiromiya Rosa

Rosa started as one of my favorite characters. As the younger sibling to a Eva-type of sister, I could relate to her struggles so much. That is, until you see how she is as a mother. I can still sympathize with her own individual struggles and I don't suddenly hate her because she isn't perfect, but again, as someone who grew up undiagnosed and was the "weird thing" that freaked everyone out and shamed my mother for exisiting, Rosa's behavior towards Maria was hard to watch.

Ushiromiya Maria

I will say: Maria's behavior is a bit weird when the occult is involved, but I daydreamed my whole family would die in a traffic accident at 11 so I'd be free of them—who am I to judge?

I could relate SO MUCH to Maria. I swear to God, Maria is so autistic-coded it hurts: ecolalia (the "uu"s, even if it's also supposed to be a moe? trait lol), lack of facial expressions, special interests (occult, Beatrice), not understanding jokes (even if she is a child)…

She's just like me fr. Her meltdown over the Rose reminds me so much of my own childhood, even if I don't remember much. Beatrice should just adopt her, heh.

Also, pretty sure Maria is the one writing these character profiles.

Ushiromiya Kinzo

OOOOOOH BEATORICHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Nothing much to say, he's painful to listen to. I mean, I guess that's intentional so hey, the VA did a wonderful job!

I think this is how my family must feel as I shut myself in my room all day long, only leaving to walk the dog and eating lol

Shannon

As of this episode, Shannon isn't given much spotlight. I'll be commenting more next episode!

For now, she's my little cutie patotie (3)

Kanon

I didn't love Kanon at first, but he’s just a teenage boy, it’s understandable. I still don't love him, but he's grown on me.

Genji

Genji is an interesting character. I don't remember much from him during the first episode, but I basically saw him as the reliable type.

I wouldn't be too surprised if there were any Kinzo x Genji fanart, not that I ship them

Kumasawa

Ah yes, the only able to outdo Battler in the pervert lines.

Kumasawa is a fine supporting character, but we don't see much from her. I mean, there are some things about her during episode 3, but not really? I can't explain without spoiling, so I'll complain more when I get to it.

Nanjo

Nanjo's cute mustache my beloved. That's all.

Gohda

Gohda might be the funniest character, actually. The fact that he is just a random dude caught in the whole mystery is so funny to me.

Other than that, I absolutely hated Gohda this episode. He gets a bit less insufferable for the next episodes, but maybe it's just me sympathizing for the poor guy just trying to do his job.

Atmosphere & Soundtrack

FUCK. I LOVE BEING ABLE TO HEAR.

Seriously, what a divine soundtrack. Especially the ones by zts.

I just couldn't stop banging my head!

And I've heard Umineko has around 200 tracks—I can't wait to get through all of them <3

I'm kind of sad I don't know what else to say, but I'll just leave this video here. It's what made me pick up Umineko once and for all:

Ooooh I almost forgot about the Voice Acting, so I'll include it here. I LOVED IT. A lot of VAs from Higurashi came back so it's always fun to notice these little things. It makes the drama much better too.

Art

I've chosen the PS3 sprites. Yes, I know: heathen behavior. But personally, I love them. I know that compared to the OG art, they may not be as expressive, but I just enjoy them a lot more. I've grown to appreciate Ryuukishi's art a lot more as I played Higurashi, don't worry.

The Pachinko version, on the other hand, is fucking awful. Say what you will, I just can't swallow it down.

Writing

I know Ryuukishi's forte isn't his prose, but it's actually not bad at all!

I don't have anything in particular to comment on, so I'll make this one short. Great writing, even if a bit convoluted at times.

Mechanics & Gameplay

This is a weird section, as Umineko doesn't even have choices, let alone "gameplay", but hear me out: I'm playing with the mods.

The visual and sound rain effects, the lip sync, the overall visual effects... chef's kiss! I doubt my enjoyment would be so great without these. Call me spoiled, but they are truly amazing.

Final Thoughts

Phew, I wrote a lot!

Umineko is not an unknown work for those into visual novels so I don't think I have to particularly recommend it, but I am absolutely loving it. No wonder people praise it so much.

My final score for this episode is a solid 8.5/10, aka 4 stars!!

If you want to have an idea whether this is for you, don't drop it until the first murder happens, please! It's considered to have a slow start, so take that into consideration. If you're a fast reader like me, you'll get there in no time!

For reference, the first episode took me around 15~17h to finish, a length somewhat close to Higurashi's Episode 1. Episode 3 and 4 are said to be the longest ones and they average a total of 30h, but when you get there, you'll be hopefully fully immersed. I certainly am, at least!

i love chili (childe x zhongli) they are just so funny to me, silly men 💕

Zhongli, who hasnt learned how to live like a human yet (example: constantly forgets mora cuz he could just make it on spot, hes not dumb guys 😐 he just hasnt learned yet!!) so of course he isnt that familiar w human customs regarding relationships, especially romantic ones bc he has to learn other stuff first, and Childe, who is just unhinged bc of his trauma and from a different culture all together and also rich and ready to do everything for the people he holds close to his heart, just ugh!!!! love them

i can imagine them just walking together, zhongli noticing something he likes while childe buys that for him and then zhongli rambles about that thing while childe listens and shares his own thoughts.

then they go to buy food and zhongli trying to teach childe how to hold chopsticks but then childe sometimes not learning on purpose so zhongli feeds him ❤

most of liyue people are already used to the fatui scum and funeral consultant just being in their own bubble and they dont mind much cuz hey! childe pays really well so they get money, economy is thriving even

also they probably spar after zhongli's identity reveal and exchange fighting technique knowledge cuz im sure zhongli isnt that familiar w ALL fighting techniques so they just talk 💕

also zhongli unintentionally making childe flustered and then childe making zhongli feel nice when they are just hanging out :)

zhongli agreeing to spar bc it brings some life in childe's dead looking eyes but eventually when zhongli becomes family to childe, childe having a small spark in his eyes even without it because he loves family and i hc that family makes him feel alive too bc they are important to him end of story.

they would still visit liyue few times a year of course!! it's zhongli's pride and joy after all and he needs to see it himself outside of others updates and childe just likes enabling him in stores so they always go back w a bunch of stuff

childe would probably grow old tho (well not too old, he probably wouldnt live past 60 considering how he's living 💀💀)

zhongli would try his best to take good care of him till his final hours :((

tho i feel like childe wouldnt like getting old tho especially w his mindset, his injury was probably bad enough on his mental state

so childe's final wish (if he wouldnt have mellowed out or just didnt care about zhongli's feelings in this matter that much) to zhongli would be a spar to death without holding back so he doesnt have to wait for his death. he would make it a contract so none of them could back out

but i feel like he'd most likely die surrounded by family and friends cuz yknow, im soft and he loves them very much and zhongli wouldnt agree to that wish (at least not easily cuz he'd have to live w it for the rest of the time and considering how good his memory is it would be painful even if it would make childe happy)

afterwards zhongli would probably move back to liyue (bc theres nothing holding him in the country of a different archon and they didnt have children so theres just no point) w all of the knowledge he earned and keeps childe in his heart or even a locket near his heart since they can take pics in genshin 🤨

but he would visit his grave every year at least once on his bday, if he could make time he'd go there as often as possible and just tell him things and bring flowers and other small things from liyue since childe probably liked it too

zhongli would live on forever w childe in his heart, maybe he'd find different lovers but i'd doubt it since childe was One Of A Kind yknow,,, idk i feel like zhongli wouldnt want to experience that pain again of losing a lover, at least a mortal one

Thoughts and Reaction to Guiltrip!

Alright, so this one is a bit more of a serious one for me. But I'll be going in order of the episode so the more serious talk will be a bit further down! First thing we get is this lovely moment:

I've already addressed it in a post, but I'll say it again here. Guiltrip is episode 11, several episodes take place before Guiltrip that we haven't seen yet, so this is awhile after Marinette and Luka broke up. We also know that Marinette has always had feelings for Adrien, even when she was with Luka. Luka always knew that fact too. None of this is new and is to be expected, obviously, when Love Square is endgame. But! I also want to point out here that this is just a soft look. Very gentle, very common. I see people looking at each other both in real life and in other shows all the time. A look that says "I adore you". And I think it's sweet! Very subtle, but enough. Something's wrong with Rose. We never get told (in this episode anyway) what it is, but it's a chronic illness that's a worry in Rose's life, ever since she was young. I feel really bad for Juleka, knowing that her friend's been struggling with an illness, and whenever something happens she has to worry about it alone. Also that really sucks when you try to cheer somebody up and make a joke, that because you were mislead about a situation you end up making things worse. Poor Marinette. :c Adrien when he realizes he's bumped into someone (and the pink bubbles to remind us of Marinette's feelings for him):

Scroll up now and look at how Marinette was looking at Adrien earlier that day. It's the exact same look. Yet, something feels different from usual to me, idk. But continuing on. Marinette gets slightly jumbled with her words, but manages to give herself a kick and says nope not now! Good for her! You can't expect to change overnight, but she's working on it.

She looks to the side, gathering her surroundings for a split second and she misses the top step. I'd like to say that this is just a joke for the show but well, this kind of thing has happened to me a lot because I'm that much of a klutz so I feel for her here. (On Halloween I forgot that there was another step as I was walking down as I wasn't paying attention. I couldn't walk on my foot for 2 weeks. It's a serious problem, guys. Really. xDD) Marinette had told Adrien she's concerned it was something she said that upset Juleka and Adrien tells her while sometimes she doesn't make sense, what she says is never mean. This scene reminds me of when Ladybug's worried about something and Chat Noir's there to keep her grounded and remind her of how things really are. I very much appreciate seeing such a scene with Adrienette! Makes the Love Square much more rounded. Also the way he stops her and says let him go talk to her to try to help the situation and any possible misunderstandings from taking place. ;-;

Can I just say... oh my gosh. He went from determined, to hearing Marinette trying to comfort her, to looking with confidence "This girl is amazing." and the whole Ladynoir vibe I'm getting from this scene makes me happy. The thing that's unrealistic about this scene though is you expect to tell me that 8 kids went down those stairs and came up behind them and Marinette, Adrien, and Juleka didn't hear? XD Now here's where the serious comes in. Rose is hospitalized with an illness we don't know about, but has been a long-term thing that has Juleka really worried a lot. That must be so stressful :c I'm going to be honest and say I never really saw Julerose romantically. Like I can see how people do, but to me, I could see that their bond was really unique. It didn't really fit completely in the "BFF" category either. But if felt like there was more to them that I didn't really understand. I think the best example off the top of my head was during Zombizou, when Rose was going to help Chloe after she slid down Chat's stick and she went too fast for him to catch her. Juleka seemed especially worried and concerned for her. Rose never seemed to get concerned about Juleka in the same way Juleka was about Rose. Juleka's always been more protective and worried and it was always one of those things that made me go "hmm, interesting". Now this episode finally explains why and I'm honestly super glad for it. Because this kind of a relationship is not a common one in media, especially kids media. Partially because having such serious illnesses in young people is not particularly common, and having someone who's so caring and protective of that person is even less common. And most people probably don't realize how amazing it is to have health problems and then have someone in their life who acts like Juleka does for Rose. I had a life-threatening illness as a kid, one that still affects me greatly today. When in school, my friends knew about it without me having to say anything unfortunately, and while they didn't usually treat me differently, sometimes they were pretty ignorant and didn't understand why I wasn't "normal" like them. They asked questions that were harder ones to answer, and tended to forget my answers. I got a lot of "I know you have X problem but I still don't see why you can't..." as well as thinking I was lying if I said I wasn't well and couldn't go to a party, and that was hard to deal with, being limited in what you can do which makes you different and being judged for things out of your control. So seeing these kids who only know something's wrong with her, but are willing to do so much to make her life better and happier, not judging her at all, wanting to take care of her no questions asked was really heart-warming for me. I only had one friend during that time that was anything close to this. I never had to explain anything to him if I didn't want to. He never asked me personal questions I didn't want to answer. And he seemed to know what he could do to make things for me easier if I was having a hard time without me ever saying so. And this is another reminder to me that this show is aimed at kids. To show kids that they'll likely encounter someone around their age that's going through something serious like a health problem, and what that kid needs most is kindness and not to be made to feel like they're even more different from the other kids than they already feel. The way they handled that aspect of it for such a short, limited intro to it, I think they did good. I discussed this next bit with a friend. She mentioned it first, the trope where those with chronic or serious illnesses are usually an "inspiration". With this episode, you kind of get the feeling that because Rose's been through so much, she's therefore a really positive and bubbly person and it kind of gives off the vibe that if you don't view things the way she does, then you're not doing it right. "What matters isn't the problem, but how you handle it." While I agree with this, and that when you come out of or regularly deal with

such hard times, automatically trying to see the world better and brighter can easily happen, but it's not exactly realistic either, at least not to the extent Rose and other people the media has portrayed. For one, I think you have to have always been more of that kind of person from the start to realistically be so positive. As my friend said and I agree, positivity is just who Rose is, she's not who she is just for the sake of a trope. But honestly, when you've gone through something so difficult, and if life continues to throw you more difficulties on top of it, being positive so much can sometimes turn into a negative and be harmful too. When you've been through a lot, it's important to allow yourself to feel the negative too because it's part of dealing with such problems. And if you've been through a lot in life and you haven't come out of it being all sunshine and rainbows, always looking on the brighter side of things, that's perfectly okay. Life's hard and tends not to work out how we'd like, or even for the better sometimes. If being positive and hopeful after struggling is hard to do, you're not bad or wrong for feeling that way, everybody handles things differently. c: ANYWAY, moving on to the rest of the episode! Juleka being all irritated and worried that the class was going to expose her spilling Rose's secret xD While the situation isn't ideal, it's nice that this is the most involved she's seemed with everyone in the entire duration of the show. But Rose knows something's up, and I love that she talks to her about it and realizes that she should've told everyone herself instead of Juleka being the only one who knew. Which has been such a burden on her. (Oh no, what if this is a reflection of Alya knowing Marinette's Ladybug later on? I'm hoping not.) Ugh these children and how much they care about Rose! These kids are the absolute best. But then they kind of ruin it a little with going overboard. Which, frankly, I think is just ignorance of her situation really. I mean, we don't know what exactly is wrong with Rose. Just that she ends up in the hospital. If they knew about her condition, what causes her to get sick, what to look out for, etc, they'd be much more informed and much less likely to be frantic whenever something's not perfectly "normal" with her. All of these kids are going to be overprotective parents someday, aren't they?

Okay so like... are Adrien and Marinette going to question at all how Ladybug and Chat Noir showed up immediately after Juleka was akumatized, and no damage had happened outside of the school for it to be known to the public? Literally the only ones that could've possibly known were the class to have shown up that fast. ??? I am confusion. "I can't help my best friend face his father." "No, Nino..." Two things: The fact that THIS is what he's feeling guilty about? My poor Nino! Dx I just love him, he really doesn't get enough love and appreciation imo. Also, um, isn't Ladybug like right by Chat? Didn't she hear that? What? Idk but I feel like we're really missing something here. Usually we get things that are kind of hints, that make us wonder if they know right, but this? This is a bit too blaring-in-your-face, and there's two major things so close together. Really strange. Chat about to use Cataclysm on himself. Good grief that was not expected. Chat Blanc threatened to destroy himself along with everything else. Now Chat Noir while affected with negative emotions from an akuma almost Cataclysmed himself. This show really is getting deep and dark isn't it. o.o Also is there something Adrien needs to work out with someone...? Daizzi and Rose saying the other's so cute, ugh they're both so cute! And Pigella's costume and transformation is so adorable omg. Okay so Pigella's power allows people to see their biggest wish, the thing that'd make them the most happy and feel positive emotions. I know some people probably think "That's it?" Considering that Shadow Moth preys on people's negative emotions, such a power is actually extremely useful facing Shadow Moth. (And let's not forget, that while that's her power, she has the ability to fight and make a difference just from being transformed too) BUT AWWW Juleka's wish! And her face when Pigella said it aloud. ;-; Am I the only one wondering if Pigella may someday use her power on Shadow Moth and that's how they learn his motive? I'm so impressed with how Rose knew how to handle everything. She knew she can't slip up with Juleka. She knew to sneak away to detransform and come back as Rose. She knew to subtly give the Miraculous back so nobody would ever know she had it. Even Chat Noir had no idea! I don't know why, I'm just so very proud of that. "She doesn't need a Miraculous to be a superhero." She really has the characteristics of one, and I can't wait to see more of Pigella. Also I'm really wondering. This scene here:

All the kids that are part of that friend group are there...except Marinette and Adrien, of course. Alya knows why Marinette isn't there. But is she wondering about why Adrien isn't there too? LOL Marinette being like "I'm taking your pillow back, sorry! Gotta wait for it like everyone else." and the boys being like LE GASP. Marinette's right, she's not fragile! The fact Rose jokes with her and makes everyone laugh, and Chloe saying "Hey, why doesn't everyone laugh when I say something like that?!" Adrien: Because in your case, it's never a joke. Chloe: Hm, that's true. Which is super funny, especially how he just so casually says it. But also it really shows again how Chloe wants to be liked. She wishes the kids would laugh when she makes comments, but it's because they're said in a serious/obnoxious way, instead of making light of something like in Rose's case here, that they don't. I know she talked about it with Ladybug in an episode, but it again shows that that's what she'd like. All that needs to happen is someone helping her get there. Maybe Zoe and Luka will somehow help with that later on. Anyway, this was a really great episode! I feel like some things might not make quite as much sense as they should if we got it in order, but what can you do when Gloob has to air them? Even a friend of mine who's been doing what she can to avoid spoilers, still got spoiled. She's having to delete tumblr to avoid future spoilers because people can't help themselves and tag things properly. So thanks Gloob. :P All we wanted was the episodes in order. We've waited this long for S4, we can wait a bit longer. But they gotta make money I guess. I'm glad other countries are trying their best to keep it in order anyway. c: Guiltrip also has some really great Adrienette moments, and covered a more serious topic which was really interesting and shows how much the show's changing. Especially with some of the choice of camera angles and movements! Like the zoom-in on the door with Adrien and Marinette, the boys LE GASP scene. Very cool artistic choices! Looking forward to the episodes that come before this one to try to help fill in some of the gaps! And apologies to those that frequently read these posts from me, I started writing it up late and couldn't finish so you get it the day after instead. xD

Eddie in Wonderland (Part 3 ❤️🖤)

There sat a beautiful table full of tea pots, tea cups, cookies, candies, anything that a child could wish for to have the perfect tea party. Eddie rushed up to the table, letting out a soft 'wow' before feeling two hands grab his shoulders tightly. Eddie froze up from the touch, feeling his heart drop all the way to the ground and splattering on his shoes.

"Hello, dear child. Would you like some tea?"

Eddie shuddered at the voice before turning around to face the man who owned it. "I-I'm sorry, did I interrupt?"

"No, you're just fine. Have a seat, dear." The Mad Hatter coaxed, pulling him a chair out to sit in. Eddie hesitantly sat down, looking up at the man with a worried expression. He sat down across from the boy, grabbing the tea pot and pouring some tea in a small flower cup. "Would you like some tea?"

Eddie nodded slowly with a slight smile. "Yes, thank you..."

"May I ask your name? And perhaps where you're headed?" He asks, handing him the steaming tea cup.

"Ah, my name is Eddie..." he softly replies, grabbing the cup. "And...I'm trying to find a whit-"

"Eddie? What a lovely name for a lovely boy. Here, drink up."

"...What is your name?" Eddie questions.

"I'm the Mad Hatter, but you may call me Danny." He quickly told him. "Now, drink up. Drink up! Would you like some sugar? Milk?"

The ginger grew concerned and a bit uneasy about how pushy the man was being towards drinking the tea. He peered down at the liquid, seeing it looked pretty safe. "No, I'm fine...thank you for asking..." He then took a sip, finding that this didn't taste of tea at all, more like alcohol. He coughed a little, only to see Danny staring at him.

"Does it taste good? More sugar? More milk?"

"A-Ah..." Eddie coughed again. "I-I don't think this is t-tea..."

"More sugar, I see." Danny takes the cup away and begins pouring sugar into it, at least, Eddie thought it was sugar. "Here, try it now." He hands it back to the boy, only for the liquid to taste totally different.

Eddie smiles softly, nodding. "This tastes much better, thank you." Danny watched the boy drink intensely, making sure he got each and every last drop of it. After he was done, the boy began to feel dizzy and bubbly. "Ahhh...what type of tea was that...?"

"Did you like it?"

"Hehe...yeahhh..." Eddie looked around obliviously, finding everything was mixed colors and sparkles. He was incredibly happy at the sight of it, leaning back in his chair while hiccuping. "Hehe...hahahahaha...hahaha! Hahahahaha!"

Danny stood up, approached the boy slowly, and grabbed his face. Eddie was in no condition to realize how creepy the man was being, giggling constantly at him. To Eddie, he began to look more and more like his father. "Now, those eyes of yours are so beautiful. Hazy and dark..."

"Hahaha!"

"Like you've lost yourself. Like you're mad."

"Hahahahaha! Hahahahahaha!"

Danny grabs the boy's hand, lifting him up out of his chair. "Come, I rarely have guests. I would love to examine those eyes more."

"Father," Eddie spoke cheerfully. "why would you wanna see my eyes? They aren't even that pretty! Hahaha!"

"They're beautiful, Eddie. Now, we must hurry. That 'tea' won't last very long, no, not at all."

"Huhhh? What are you talking abouttt?" Eddie wobbled his way towards the other side of the table, following the Mad Hatter. "I dunno whatttt...sgghhh...waaa..."

"Hush, now. I'll make this quick."

"Huhhh? Whaaat?" Eddie questions, feeling himself being pushed against the biggest chair at the end of the table. He then saw Danny grab an eating utensil off of the table, supposedly a spoon, and holding him down by his chest. Eddie felt a sudden change of mood and began to struggle away. "No! No! No!"

"Is it already wearing off-?"

"NO! LET ME GO! LET ME GO, YOU HOOLIGAN!" Eddie cried, kicking the man in the chest and flinging himself onto the table. Danny was stunned for only a moment before grabbing Eddie's ankle and yanking him back. "NO! NO! LET ME GO!"

"Have some more tea."

"MOM! DAD?! AL! PLEASE, SOMEONE! ANYONE!" Eddie screamed, kicking and pulling away from the man. "PLEASE!"

Suddenly, as if he had heard his cries, the white rabbit jumps onto the table laughing hysterically. Eddie felt a lump in his throat, almost wishing he hadn't screamed at all; Not if this man was going to kill him instead.

"YOU AGAIN, FIVE EYES?! GIVE ME A BREAK! YOU ALREADY TRY TO GET QUEEN RAY'S EYES!" He hissed at Danny. He let Eddie go, only for Zack to pick the little boy up instead. "AHAHAHA! DO SOMETHIN LIKE THAT AGAIN AND I'LL TEAR ALL YER EYES OUT!"

"Mister. Rabbit!" Eddie gushed with a grin.

"OI, DON'T BE GETTIN HAPPY ALL OF A SUDDEN! THAT REALLY TICKS ME OFF!"

"I was merely trying to checkup on his eyes!" Danny exclaimed, hiding the spoon behind his back with a sickening smile. "Believe me!"

"NOT FOR A SECOND, YA PERV!" Zack jumps from the table, holding Eddie like a sack of potatoes, and running out the back gate. Danny called for the two to come back, but neither of them had the intention to.

"Mister. Bunny-!"

"Call me Zack, lil-shit!"

"Mister. Zack!"

"ZACK!"

"No formalities?"

"WHAT THE FUCK DOES THAT EVEN MEAN, RICH BOY?!"

Eddie laughed at the rabbit-man's response, shaking his head. "Nevermind that! Where are we going?"

"The castle. I'm late, remember?!" Zack grumbled, swinging from branch to branch. This confused Eddie a bit, since he was supposed to be a rabbit, not a monkey.

"Oh! Yes, I do remember you saying something of the sorts."

"UGH, YA SPEAK TOO PROPER!"

"My apologies."

Eddie then remembered his stolen mask, peering at Zack's back pockets to see if it was there. However, there was no sight of it. Before he could question the bandaged man, he was dropped straight on his back. He looked up at Zack, only to see he was entering a large metal gate which led to the castle. "See ya later, lil-shit."

"Wait! My mask! Could you give it back?!" Zack doesn't answer, rushing through the entrance of the castle's garden. Eddie stood up and brushed himself off, walking inside of the beautifully decorated gate that the man had left open stupidly. Eddie shut the gate behind himself to make sure no one else could enter the castle grounds, since it was common sense. He then began to chase Zack once more. "Please! I really need it back!"

Eddie tripped over a can of red paint, spilling it out on the grass and landing face-first onto the ground. He rubbed his forehead, small tears forming in his eyes from the hit. "Ouch..."

"Ah! I'm so sorry! So sorry!"

"That voice..." Eddie's head perked up as he turns to see the boy who spoke to him. As he suspected, it was his older brother, Carl. Immediately after realizing it was him, he began sobbing. "CARL! WAAAAAAHHHH!" He grabbed onto Carl and pulled him in for a hug, ignoring the fact that he was dressed as a soldier.

"Uh-do I know you?" Carl asks, pulling the boy away from his grasp.

Eddie's eyes widen as he hears that question. "Carl...we're...brothers...! Do you not remember me?!"

Carl tilts his head, giving Eddie an odd look. "Uhm...dude. I have no idea who you are."

Eddie stood up and wiped his tears away, holding his head in his hands. "Oh goodness...I must be dreaming...!"

Carl grabs the bucket of paint and ran off towards two other soldiers that were with him. One was rather small, looking to be around six and the other was tall, looking to be sixteen. Eddie recognized them to be his brothers, George, Albert, and Carl, but they didn't seem to have the slightest clue who he was. So, instead of continuing to push them to remember, he decided to play it cool and go along with what they were doing.

"What are you three doing?" Eddie asks the boys.

"We're painting the roses red!" The littlest one, George, boomed happily. "We planted the wrong ones, so now we gotta fix them before the Queen comes and cuts off our heads!"

Eddie felt his heart splatter when he heard that. "What?!"

Albert, the oldest one, paid no mind to Eddie, continuing to paint. Carl grabbed George and led him onto a stool to paint more roses, explaining to Eddie. "That's right...we have to paint them red before we lose our heads!"

"Let me help then!" Eddie grabbed a paint brush and a bucket of paint, beginning to do the same. They all were panicked and rushing, hoping that they'd be done on time. Eddie didn't know the time limit, so made sure he did them quickly without really paying much mind to how good they looked. Little George couldn't do them very well either, considering his age, so some of them looked quite messy.

"Are you sure none of you know who I am?" Eddie asks while continuing to paint.

"You look like one of us, but no." Carl reported. He didn't take his eyes off of the brush, doing his best to paint every spot.

"Mhm! You do, you do!" George sang.

Eddie then heard some trumpets in the distance, seeing all of the color drain from his brother's faces. All three of them looked like they were terrified, hiding the paint and getting on their hands and knees, bowing. Eddie got down too, seeing that it would be silly to stay up. He gazed at his brothers, seeing that Carl was crying and the other two looked mortified. Was it really this fatal to have the roses red?

Suddenly, a whole army of soldiers lined up against the bushes and a red carpet was laid on the ground. The soldiers all had burlap masks on, exactly like the one that was stolen from Eddie. Confused, he looked up to see a beautiful young lady walking down the carpet and towards the four boys. Her dark crystal eyes were gleaming down the bushes, no facial expression was visible on her face. Carl began crying even more, which made George start to cry. Eddie knew that something was wrong.

Another trumpet was played, showing the rabbit-man who was playing it. "Announcing the Queen of Hearts! Or whatever..." he spat.

The Queen approached the four boys, coldly staring at them. "Who painted the roses red?" She bluntly asks, with no emotion at all. Her voice was quite pretty, but at the moment, Eddie dreaded it.

"I-It was my fault..." Carl lowered his head, tears streaming down his freckled cheeks.

"It was my fault." Albert looked up at the Queen with a harsh glare. "Don't believe that idiot."

"A-Al!" Carl sobbed, only to have Albert shove his head to the ground.

"IT WAS ME! DON'T KILL MY LITTLE BROTHERS FOR SOMETHING I DID!" Albert thundered, now having tears rapidly streaming down his face. "I DID IT! SO JUST LEAVE THEM-!"

"Off with their heads."

Eddie's head snapped up. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. His three brothers all were surrounded and dragged away, seemingly to their demise.

"NO, PLEASE NO! IT WAS MY FAULT! DON'T KILL THEM! DON'T-NO! THEY'RE JUST BABIES!" Albert screeched on the top of his lungs, begging for the Queen to let his little brother's go. However, the Queen didn't even bat an eye at his cries.

Eddie knew that he had to take action. These were his brothers afterall. Hearing them cry for mercy was enough to drive the young boy mad. "WAIT! STOP!"

The whole garden went silent. The crying stopped, the soldiers stopped, and the Queen stared at Eddie with her cold eyes. Before he could say another word, the Queen lifted his chin with her finger to get a better look at his gorgeous face. "Oh, a little boy."

"Y-Yes..." Eddie stuttered, standing up and panicking. "Please, don't k-kill them! Uhmmm...th-they're my brothers...a-and..."

The Queen's long golden hair danced behind her from the wind, staring deep into Eddie's ivy green eyes. He kept eye contact to let her know he was serious about this matter. With a small sigh, the Queen lifted a hand and the soldiers let his brothers go. "All three of you, get out of my sight."

Without another word, Albert picked little George up and grabbed Carl's hand, running away with them. Eddie remained standing tall, feeling completely overpowered by the girl. However, he didn't want that to show, so tried his best to keep his calm. "You, come with me."

Eddie followed the Queen's order, staying close behind her like a lost puppy. Each and every soldier stared at Eddie, almost sympathetically. Now Eddie felt really nervous.

"Now, where do you come from and where are you going?" The Queen asked.

"W-Well...I'm trying to find my way home-!"

"Your way? It's my way." She snapped, her blue eyes looking piercing.

"Y-Yes, you're right, b-but I was thinking-!"

"Bow when you're thinking. It saves more time."

"Yes, your majesty..." Eddie bows.

"No need to call me in formalities. I like you. You may call me Rachel." She informs him before beginning to walk again.

"O-Okay, I was only g-going to ask you-!"

"I ask the questions," Rachel grabs Eddie's hand, giving him a fake smile. "Do you dance?"

"Why, yes, your maj-I mean, Rachel." Eddie stammered, flustered by the touch. He was rarely touched so gently after all. Her hands felt like ice, just as her stare and heart. She leads him inside the ball room, many soldiers following behind.

"I would like you to dance with me," Rachel spoke in a tender tone, placing one of her hands on his cheek. "You are very charming...what was your name?"

"Edward...but people call me Eddie more often..." he blushed heavily, looking away. "You may call me whatever you'd like..."

"Eddie..." Rachel repeated slowly placing her hand on his shoulder and grabbing his other one. "What a beautiful name."

Eddie looked away briefly before placing his hand on her hip and holding her hand. "Thank you, R-Rachel..."

"Music." Rachel hissed at the servants, only for them to run and put it on. She smiled at Eddie once more, beginning to dance with him. It would be a lie for him to say he didn't enjoy it, but he was terrified of messing up. Her hands were so small and her stare was adoring but cold. She really seemed like a doll that a little girl would own. He peered away from her eyes for a moment, seeing that Zack was tearing up his mask for all to see. Eddie felt an overwhelming sense of anger and fear, wanting it back as soon as possible.

"Ah, Rach-!"

"Hush now, Eddie."

"But-!"

"Hush."

"GIVE IT BACK!" Eddie finally yelled, letting go of Rachel and jumping onto Zack. He began biting and scratching, desperately wanting his burlap mask back. By the time he got ahold of it, it was almost completely destroyed. Eddie fell to his knees, holding the mask close to his chest and thinking about the day he got it. "W-Waaahh...I WANNA GO HOME!"

Zack picks Eddie up by the collar of his shirt, giving him a good punch to the stomach before throwing him back towards the Queen. Eddie held his stomach in pain, coughing violently.

"Off with his head."

"R-Rachel..." Eddie sobbed. "Please...I-I wanna...I WANNA GO HOME!"

The soldiers began to surround him, reaching out towards him to pick him up and drag him out. He shut his eyes tightly, knowing that he was doomed.

"Edward!"

Eddie opened his eyes with a small gasp, hearing his mother's voice calling for him. The soldiers were still reaching for him, so he quickly crawled underneath their legs and began running towards the voice. "Mother! Mother!" He cried, looking back to see a crowd of black and white suits chasing him.

"Edward!"

"MOMMA!" He sobbed, rushing through the tea party, the caterpillar's smoke, the flowerbed, the forest, all the way back to the small door where it all began. He slammed his hands against it, shaking the door knob violently. "LET ME OUT! LET ME GO! I WANNA GO HOME!"

"OFF WITH HIS HEAD!"

Eddie took one look back at everyone chasing him, letting out one more scream. "MOM!"

And just like that,

Eddie woke up.

"Edward, are you even listening-?!"

"MOMMA!" Eddie bawled, jumping into her arms and holding her tight. His mother was shocked from these sudden tears, but nevertheless, wiped them away. "M-Momma...*sniffle*...mommy..."

"It's alright, my dear." His mother coaxed, patting his head delicately. "Shhh..."

After a short while of comforting Eddie, his mother grabbed his hand and her book, patting his ginger locks once again. "Edward, it's nearly three o'clock. Time for tea."

Eddie picks Sadie up, holding her close to his chest with a small sniffle and sigh. "Yes, mother."

Ginny:

What the heck was his problem? No seriously, Ginny Weasley wanted to know. Granted, she was in the wrong class (by mistake, mind you!) and she was just as embarrassed as anyone would have been in her situation but that hardly warranted the scornful look he had on his face upon seeing her. She wasn't exactly thrilled to be in Malfoy's company either, Merlin knew the memory of that day tortured her as much as it annoyed him but she didn't go around acting disdainful towards him. Okay sure, it had been a brief connection, eye to eye, steely grey met her own honey brown, but his look stung her in her chest for some reason, it was a look accusing her of being in the same room as him, as if she wanted that! Leaving potions class, after quickly making apologies before Snape could use her momentary blunder to take points off of Gryffindor, she tried to make sense of her dilemma.

So yeah, why was Malfoy being an utter twat, more than usual, you ask? Well, it all came down to that one fateful day when she was out with her class in the forbidden forest. Dumbledore had announced a compulsory program for year 4 and aboves, they were meant to form groups and with teachers' supervision, would have to spend 5 days learning camping skills. Apparently the ministry of magic thought that students had become too "lazy" and needed more outdoor activities. She didn't even know what Draco was doing there in the first place since his class was supposed to have their camping exercise later but who cares now. All she remembers is that somehow she'd walked right into him sitting near a lake reading a book. And before you ask, she was initially going to ignore him and walk back to the camp, because believe it or not she wasn't particularly interested in talking to him, plus she had wandered off a bit too far in her search for food, and she wanted to go back to her friends when he spotted her and made a rude comment.

Here's the thing you should know about Ginny Weasley, she had that infamous Weasley temper (which she's working on, come on now give a girl a break please), but yeah she can get exceptionally hot headed when she's hungry... and she was very hungry that day hunting for food, so she may have been particularly nasty towards him and may have said something about his upbringing. Listen, he was rude first, she just returned the favour. That kind of started their age old tradition of insulting each other and somehow she and Malfoy ended up in close proximity, somewhere during their shouting match. She doesn't really remember how but it's possible that she may have been the one to shove him first, in her defense, he had insulted her mother's annual Weasley jumpers so she had to do something. That is definitely how both she and him, ended up in the lake and here's the thing, she kinda doesn't recall much of what happened afterwards, because he did look like a snack alright. It's because his white shirt was wet and it was see through, so she had a moment of weakness, may her ancestors forgive her. So yeah, she may have looked at him a certain way, but he was at fault too, he was giving her looks that did things to her heart and elsewhere in her body, his cool silver locks fell over his molten grey eyes and she was sure her heart probably stopped beating at the sight. She can't explain it.

Merlin knew that moment is exactly where her mind was wandering off to, when today she had accidentally, walked into professor Snape's potion lecture when she was meant to be attending charms for year 6 in a different building! No no no, this would not do. Ginny would have to take control of her mind that kept wandering to that day- ugh! There it was again, she was trying NOT to think about it but somehow the memory of Draco's soft lips descending upon hers, his slender hands slowly making their way down her body, her arms pulling him closer and their tongues locking in a passionate embrace.... yeah, that memory won't leave her alone.

It... It felt like he'd done something to her, like that kiss had changed something fundamental in her, she couldn't look in the mirror without thinking of his kiss. She could still imagine it, picture it, taste it even if she closed her eyes long enough... It felt as though he had tattooed that kiss on her lips and it will never go away.

The point is, yeah, she had been affected by that sudden kiss, but she wasn't going around the school being grumpy and passing him dirty looks. She was feeling tortured inside but she was acting indifferent and trying her hardest to forget everything that had transpired between them because unlike a certain irritating man, she didn't want people to suspect anything. She was sure he was disgusted by their kiss, but could he act more mature about everything please? Because she was trying her hardest to ignore him but his constant remarks every time they crossed paths, his eyes which dug holes in her back and his scathing looks were making it very difficult for Ginny Weasley to forget what they'd done in forbidden forest.

Just last evening she was trying her hardest to concentrate on her homework in the library, she had to read each sentence several times to get it through her head, that's how much Malfoy's presence had started to affect her. As she was trying and failing to concentrate, a loud thud from the other table rang throughout the quiet room, making everyone snap their heads in his direction. Malfoy was grumpily packing his books to leave the the library, giving her a murderous look as if everything was her fault somehow he left. She wished things could go back to normal somehow, but what was normal for them, ignoring each other? Or going back at each others throats? It was all very confusing.

Draco:

Merlin! She was doing this on purpose wasn't she, "accidentally" walked into potions, yeah right! How was he supposed to forget the mistake they'd made if she kept showing up everywhere, looking like... that! What was wrong with him? She must have put some kind of spell on him to torment him. Yes, that made sense, because why else on Merlin's earth would he, Draco Malfoy, find her agreeable. It was worse, he found her more than agreeable, those damn red hair, they enchanted him how they flew with the wind as she rode her broom during a match or when they partially covered her face in the dining hall while she would talk to her friends, tempting him to abandon all common sense and run his fingers through them to tuck them behind her ears. Fascinating, how those silky strands danced on her button nose when she was working on her homework in the library until she ended up putting them in a messy bun, which made her look adora— Mental!

She looked mental, she was a weasel afterall. Draco was frustrated, he was tired and most importantly he was angry, how was it that one kiss, one moment of relapse in judgement on his part could change things between him and a nobody like her so much so that here he was, all rewired somehow sitting in potions thinking about her red hair!! Was this how it was going to be from now on, she would just walk into a room and just like that, all logical thoughts in his mind would go out of the window, he would be transported to that singular moment of his life when her honey brown eyes looked up at him right after their kiss, in surprise and... shock. When she had moved her fingers to touch her lips in astonishment, innocent brown eyes looking up to him in confusion, hesitation, wonder? and then they had heard Pansy calling out for him which had made them both snap back into reality. Within moments, they were out of the lake, unspoken agreement that whatever happened, didn't happen.

And now here he was days, weeks later trying his best to be the old Draco, except it seemed like he didn't know what in the name of Salazar he was supposed do in a situation like this? All he knew was that she was suddenly everywhere, in the dining hall, on school premises, in the quidditch training pitch but most importantly, on his mind! That was the worst place she had occupied, it made it impossible for him to function anywhere. She had ruined his peaceful quiet reading spot because he couldn't go there anymore without thinking back to what they did, without imagining 'what if' scenarios, what if Pansy hadn't come to looking for him? What if Ginny wasn't a Weasley, what if he wasn't a Malfoy? Merlin! His ancestors were all probably rolling in their graves right about now.

"Weasley's sure got a nice arse"

Crabbe's loud observation almost made him want to hex the guy but miraculously, at the last minute his self preservation skills kicked in and he was able to keep his cool. He wished Ron Weasley had heard it right now, he would not only shut them up but also provide quality entertainment while doing so. Seriously, if Merlin was about to put him through Crabbe and Goyle's disgusting comments about Ginny Weasley's arse then, he would have no other option but to jump from the astronomy tower maybe, because no way in hell was he going to sit here as Crabbe and Goyle discussed her. Besides, her arse was just okay, like it wasn't all that special or anything. It wasn't big or small, just the normal size... if he was forced to comment on it, he would say it was pert, well-shaped probably because of all the quidditch training she did, it was perfectly round and firm, and frankly speaking, made to fit right in his palms. It wasn't his attraction speaking, no, it was just an objective fact that her arse fits in his hands, he knew that because he'd had the chance to grab it when they had kissed that day. Of their own accord, His hands itched to do touch her again —

"Woah, relax mate, you're gonna break that thing."

Draco looked at where Blaise was pointing and realised he was about to snap the beaker full of potion, he relaxed his hands and exhaled a sigh he didn't know he had been holding. What was that bint doing to him, he was going insane. Zabini didn't press him on what was going on and he was grateful for that. Instead he read more instructions and kept on working on THEIR class project, something they were supposed to do together! Had Draco not been so out of focus lately he would have helped out, but as it happened, a certain foul-mouthed, red-haired, brown-eyed gryffindor was on his mind and everything in life was upside down.
