without a focus

without a technique

When my mind is goddamn busy, ranting, rumbling with emotions. It can be really difficult to get through. I get caught between fighting against the constant outburst of emotions and their acceptance.

For a while now, I thought only a strong focus on something can help me out of these situations. It doesn´t come easy. Maybe constant practice when I´m inside as well as when I´m outside of emotional thunderstorms will get me to a point where I can .... be ... at ease.

Today though, I got a new insight. My mind thought that focus is the solution to all dilemma, on every level. Emotional, physical health, ... But ... Focus is not working without its counterpart - the open horizon, the eagle eye perspective. It definitely helped me get through today. To consciously go out of my "head" and move to another point of the situation, see through somebody elses eyes, or simply to connect/ merge with what I´m actually fighting against.

Oh, and of course, talking about it and digging on in an investigating, curious manner works wonders.

Like a private detective. A private Eye.

What is the real truth? That unites and transcends all our indvidual perceptions.

That´s how this blog came into being.

I´d like to share my experiences on the path with you. And I´d like to hear about your experiences.

I would also love to help you investigate your inner "crime scenes", your seemingly unsolvable puzzles. Feel free to contact me!

Together we can dig, question, turn everything upside down to come to point of clarity. Instead of finding a solution, we can find a clear blue sky.

We can communicate in English, German, silence, body language ... :-) Here as well, I love working on different layers - in physical, energetic or virtual contact. Whatever is possible and helpful at a specific moment.

Origin and meaning

The Unalome is both a Buddhist and a Hindu symbol. It represents the path to freedom. Or slightly more down-to-earth, your life's path. The sign consists of three parts: the spiral, the swirl, and the dots at the end. You read the Unalome from bottom to top.

The spiral

The spiral represents the direction. Is your life going up or down? Your thoughts don’t have an off button. With bumps, potholes, detours, and unexpected encounters you become more and more aware. The spiral represents the state before you spiritually awaken.

The swirl

After the spiral comes the swirl, which gets smaller and smaller and turns into a straight line. When you are aware of your thoughts, you can become introverted. You have more focus and clarity; the road is less winding.

The straight line

When you get out of the swirl, you suddenly see everything very clearly. Like a straight line. The road is pure, that’s where you are free and reach enlightenment. Your end goal. So there you are, a beautiful doodle with an even more beautiful meaning. 

Practicing with the Unalome

In our lookbook you’ll find an Unalome. Print it, place a paper on top of it and trace the line. Repeat that movement. Practice until it comes naturally. Meanwhile, reflect on your life, without trying to change anything. Write down all the insights that come to mind in a storybook. You can also draw the Unalome in a sketchbook. Are you with a friend? Draw one on each other’s backs at heart level.
