Star Light, Star Bright is the sequel to Stars on the Water, and it is also sooooo amazing. percy goes to therapy post-hoo, as well as the rest of the seven, but it mainly centers around him. Warning though that as I post this, the writer isn't finished writing it, but still seems to update the story regularly

Character is Destiny is a fic about everyone reading the books. the last chapter was a little before the Mount St Helen's eruption, and the last update was in sept of 2022, so I think it got cut short, but it's still an amazing read

48 Hours with Annabeth Chase is a mortal au where percy and annabeth are internet friends and meet up and confess their love for each other. I'm not much of a romantic, but I thoroughly enjoyed reading it lol

Daughter of Wisdom is The Lightning Theif from annabeth's perspective. I haven't got around to reading it yet, but I figured people would want that and i'd hate to gatekeep lol

With percy jackson now being out (well the first two episodes at least) I'm excited for the possibility of characters watch the show fics. Both for the show characters watch themselves and for the book characters to watch the show.

Fanfic No. 40: Luke vs Camp Halfblood

Type of fic: Canon divergent, 4.8 words and 16 chapters, complete, took less than a month to write, rated T

“Sorry, I had to change the name, apparently someone else has a story called The Princess Andromeda. Annabeth is kidnapped by Luke and is taken to the Princess Andromeda, and Percy and Grover go in an attempt to save her.”

Characters: Annabeth Chase, Grover Underwood, Luke Castellan, and Percy Jackson

Length and format: This is definitely a fast read. Chapters are very short and can be combined since each scene is depicted over two or three chapters. The formatting was easy to read. 

Content: If you’re looking for an overarching dramatic plot this isn’t for you. If you are interested in a quick fun read that is dialogue based then you will totally love this. The fic could use more detail, but it is still an enjoyable read. There is a pov switch unannounced in the first chapter and some minor grammar but other than that this is pretty solid considering it’s mostly dialogue and less technical stuff. 

Characterization: The characters were very limited as they were there to facilitate the plot, there were some OOC moments that can be chalked up to the “XD randomness” humor of the time.

Reception: There are 35 reviews that are mostly positive, though there are a few negative reviews. There are also 13 favorites and 5 follows.

Author: Author Demigod444 uses the word ‘arse’ in the fic so I am led to believe they are located somewhere in the UK. On the account page they say they’ve had writer's block and are trying to get back into writing while making their stance on ships from The Hunger Games clear. I believe the account has been purged from what was ever on before this. In ANs the author says this is their first Percy Jackson fanfic and they ask for reviews. They also discuss plans to write a sequel, however that was never made. They also give special thanks to friends and constant reviewers that helped along the way. They sign off as “Zachi” which could be short for “Zachary” or a pen name. Regardless, the account went inactive in 2009 so we can only wish them the best. 

Impact: This was another fic I would’ve loved reading as a kid. Right now the characters are a bit half baked for my liking but I still had fun reading.
