Technically speaking, he was a light sleeper.
Which was just hilarious for two different reasons. One, he topped at twenty pounds soaking wet—and that was after he'd reached for the towel. The joke basically wrote itself. The other reason was, of course, that nobody believed him. Honestly, he could kinda get it. It's pretty hard for irony to escape him, even on a bad day. The way he saw it, though, maybe he wouldn't take as many naps as he did, if he just managed to get one to stick.
...heh, nah. Probably not. Late to rise, early to bed, makes a man lazy or clinically dead, or however the saying went. Still.
The kid stiffened against his ribcage and that was all it took for his eyes to fly open.
The popcorn ceiling of the living room stared back at him through the darkness in all its tacky glory. Now that's another joke that writes itself. It wasn't a movie night at Tori's without some comment about her taste in decor. That always earned him a round of groans. Or a halfhearted pillow to the head. It was one of his favorite moodsetters.
His hand dangled in the air at his side. Not on the floor. Just a few months earlier, that alone would've told him he wasn't in his room, but oh boy, had things changed. He had a bedframe now, not to mention enough self respect for one. AND fitted sheets—that was a lifetime first. You had to be careful not to fall off, but all things considered, it was the fanciest bed he'd slept on since he'd tried using his worker bonus at MTT's. If he risked falling off the bed now, he'd risked never finding his way out then. Not to mention the guy in the other room calling for room service the entire night. He almost retired the midnight snacks bit on Undyne out of sympathy the next time she came over.
Almost.
The kid's head twitched.
Right. Popcorn. Living room. Springy mattress. He didn't need to smoke a pipe to realize he'd fallen asleep on the sofa. Didn't need a goofy hat either to see that someone must've thought he'd make a good pillow. Go figure. He'd gotten real good at making himself look softer under his clothes, but still, it wasn't exactly the kind of magic a guy could keep up with his eyes closed and a pillow behind his head. He just hoped they weren't too uncomfortable.
He must've dozed off sometime after Papyrus left the house and Toriel turned in for the night, 'cause nobody had stopped by to throw a blanket over him. Most nights that would've been fine. Nice thought aside, skeletons didn't really feel cold "to their bones", on account of lacking all the soft and fleshy stuff on top of 'em.
Yeah, well. Most nights. Most nights he didn't have a human kid sleeping on top of him, either.
Sans looked down. He resisted the urge to blow a strand of hair out of their face.
Most nights, skeletons didn't have hearts beating against their ribs.
Ba-dum—ba-dum—ba-dum.
He would've asked them if it felt any different, having it beat on the other side of their ribcage, if they hadn't already crawled their way inside his months before.
Heh. Not like they hadn't done the same with everyone else. Or ever asked for permission, the little freeloader. But he supposed that part came free with being monsters. The whole HOPE and compassion and everything nice kinda shtick. As a rule, they were, uh, very prone to attachment. It was hardwired into their SOULs or something. Of course, he knew better than anyone that compassion had its cost, and he'd ran low on HOPE for a long, long while, but...
There was a ray of light coming through the kitchen at night like he hadn't seen in an even longer time. The kind with a moon and stars hung at the other end of it.
Yeah. Maybe he could afford something nice for once.
Frisk stirred again. He kept as still as possible as they wriggled around, pushing themself off of him—trying, he assumed, not to shove their boney little knees somewhere unpleasant.
Then they flopped to their side and fell to the floor with a thud.
See, THAT'S the kinda issue you don't have when you have no self respect.
Slowly, the kid got to their feet again. They stood perfectly straight for a moment, then took an unsteady step forward. Then another.
To call it "walking" would've been an act of mercy. It was more of an ambling. Maybe a shambling. Sans watched their journey towards the kitchen mentally listing of adverbs. Stumbling. Fumbling. Trailing. That one didn't have a mbl in it, points for originality.
Mostly, he was ecstatic. Nothing made for fun breakfast stories quite like sleepwalking. And well, he hadn't had one of those since Papyrus turned fifteen and stopped sleeping entirely.
When the kid finally reached the fridge, they all but shoved their head inside it. He heard them do... something in there. There were definitely teeth involved. He was about to ask them to bring some goods back to homebase.
The door of the fridge clicked closed.
He didn't.
Then, he almost made a joke about forgetting their headlights on, but thought otherwise. He was glad he'd left his own off.
Besides, it was the taillights that were supposed to glow red.
Eyesockets dark and still pretending to sleep, he kept watch as the kid turned around and retraced their shambling steps to the living room like a miniature zombie.
Halfway to the sofa, they stopped, making a small sound like a grumbling of annoyance. For a second their eyes grew even more unfocused.
"Sleep," they rasped out in a low, halting whisper, "I saved you a crick in the neck."
It took him a second to register that the kid wasn't talking to him. Mostly 'cause Frisk didn't speak. To him. Or ever.
By the time they reached their starting point again, his excitement had died off into quiet confusion and quickly curdled into caution. They stopped at the edge of the sofa and fixed him with a stare, looking at where they'd been sleeping before. Sans waited.
"I am not doing that," they rasped to themself again.
Then they climbed onto the other end of the sofa and curled around themself as small as possible. So tightly it looked like they wanted to tuck their tiny body into a ball.
When they stopped moving, they didn't move again.
Sans didn't lift a finger. His brain whirred in his skull, ready to chalk up the past few minutes to the sleepwalking and forget they ever happened. Staring up at the popcorn ceiling again, though, he couldn't shake off a wave of uneasiness; like he'd seen something he wasn't quite supposed to put together.
Any man would've spent the night awake.
He cast a glance at the kid, huddled in their corner. There was no heartbeat against his ribs now: something about the silence felt foreboding.
Sans closed his eyes.
Ten minutes later, of course, he was out like a light.

Okay but what is up with Asgore and Flowey's relationship
I'm not extremely surprised that Flowey doesn't care a great deal about Asgore. It's pretty clear if you know where to look that Toriel was Asriel's favorite(and Flowey's still as fond of her as he's able to be) while Asgore was Chara's favorite(knitted a large sweater for him, shared love of plants, he grows their favorite flowers.)
But like. I've seen analyses pointing out that Asgore refers to Chara strangely--he talks about the death of his 'son' or 'child', not 'children,' and often refers to Chara as things like 'a human who fell here long ago'. Some people take this to mean that Asgore does not, or perhaps never did, consider Chara his child, or is uncomfortable with the fact that they're human after all that's happened.
But like?? The guy seems to absolutely ADORE Chara. Flowey in No Mercy speaks like, while he'd never show the Souls to Asriel, he'd show the Souls to Chara in a heartbeat. Flowey implies he's never been able to kill or even trick Asgore without Frisk distracting him, and Undyne talks about how good Asgore is at dodging--but Frisk is capable of hitting Asgore easily, even in No Mercy. Asgore talks about the hope he sees in Frisk's eyes that reminds him of Chara, and the memory we receive from Chara upon a game over is of Asgore encouraging them.
So like?? In a lot of fanworks I see about Flowey's past, Asgore is usually depicted as really kind and caring towards a newly-awakened Flowey. And I do think he absolutely loves Asriel and would be trying his best with Flowey. But?? Were things more awkward between Asgore and Flowey than we assume?? Did the LV and the endless resets make it harder for Asgore to recognize Asriel as his son by the time of Undertale, like how it's so hard for him to recognize Frisk/Chara as human? Why did Asgore let his guard down for a LV 20 Frisk/Chara and fail to dodge their attack, but never any previous run of Flowey's? Does he remember previous resets well enough to sense this flower is bad news, even in runs where Flowey hasn't killed anyone yet? Is he just so baffled by 'talking flower' that his guard remains instinctively up? What is up with the obvious favoritism here, Asgore.

Picture this with me, humor me cmere. join the storytelling circle.
I really adore seeing messed up characters like, be given the responsibility of taking care children.
I LOVE seeing messed up characters be absolutely appalled at being entrusted to this. why THEM???
but there comes a point where the care inside them is awakened and they become willing to try and grow and change for the better, for the sake of the child the universe decided to thrust at them, and they aren’t PERFECT. They are STILL messed up, and they do things so so wrong…but they TRY, and learn, and grow.
having/taking in a child doesn’t make you a good person. but if you are good, at your core, you’ll WANT to be the best version of yourself you can be, for that child’s sake. (and maybe someday for yours too!)
anyways. i especially love when it’s not even their biological child. it’s that extra layer of “how tf did we get here” and questioning the universe’s parenting ability.
where tf is this going? HORRORDUST HELL YEAH BABY I HAVE NO SHAME ok but like hear me out.
their sent out to do something ok. who tf knows ,all that matters is they are in some au.
there’s probably chaos and wreckage because everywhere they go they cause trouble but as they LEAVE, dust feels a tug on his sweater.
whips around, startled, looks down and-
“sans…?”
uh oh. child. child thinks he’s…just sans. their sans. damn.
child is scared ok maybe cri.
dust just utterly at a loss and awkwardly scrambling to come up with a proper response, looking at horror who’s just as awkwardly standing there.
oh yeah and the child is Red because i say so.
Red. Like, Undertale Red. But a varient. a (more) child like version of Red. whole ass other universe. because i’m. ideas ok. :))
their probably like SANS. SOB.
i can’t find undyne, or the canines, where are they.
(rip they fucking DIED HAHA)
horror probably staring at red like their a lost kitten (don’t tell them that it’ll offend them their a DOG-💥)
dust panicking because this kid shouldn’t be trusting him and their way to close and-
cue the two of them eye banging except it’s just silent arguing and not sexy eye banging
next thing you know a flabbergasted nightmare just watching two of his crazy ass and hella gay men carry in a small rag of a child :)
i have like a million ideas and dynamic things if you’re interested for some reason feel free to send asks about it HEHEHEHE

Angst
The skeleton brothers are hanging out in the house, and the storm outside is making the house make creaking and groaning noises, which is pretty normal in that area. That was the world warning them of the fact that holy shit the world is moving and the house is falling over with them inside it. Both end up trapped under the rubble in a lot of pain and unable to move and can't see.
By the time the rescuers come and help, the sanses are all already dead.
How was it for the Sanses in their last moments and how do the papyruses react?
Woah, this is a lot worse than the first ask lol. But oh well, you asked for it.
Undertale Sans - Papyrus jumped on him to protect him from the rumbles, but it actually made things worse as it crushed Sans' ribcage even more. Sans spends his last moments saying it's not Papyrus' fault, that he loves him, and that he's sorry. He holds his brother's hand until the very last moment.
Undertale Papyrus - He felt the shaking and instinctively rushed to protect Sans, but he underestimated the weight of the entire house on his back. Sans got most of the shock, and Papyrus realized to late Sans was actually saying goodbye by trying to ease his crushing guilt. When his brother disappears right between his fingers, Papyrus falls completely silent, in shock. So in shock, he actually doesn't even realize his spine got badly touched by the collapsing and that he's completely paralyzed. He's not sure what's going on when he gets rescued and keeps asking after his brother for a long time, begging Undyne again and again to go look for him again. He only realizes the next time he wakes up at the hospital that he has to be sedated. Undyne and Toriel are here to support him obviously, but it's going to be some hard months for Papyrus, who can't stop thinking all of this is his fault.
Underswap Sans - He knows he's mortally wounded, he can feel it, but he refuses to go before saving his brother. He fights like a warrior to make a way to him, and then he drags Honey out of the house. As Honey is ecstatic, realizing they're both alive, Blue collapses and dusts on the floor. He doesn't care. He did his job as a big brother.
Underswap Papyrus - He hid quickly under his bed and survived without big injuries, but he stayed stuck for a long time. He got so relieved when Blue called his name, and happily followed him out, just to have his hopes crushed all over again as Blue suddenly collapsed. Honey is too in shock to fully realize, and calls Alphys for help, screaming he needs an ambulance for his brother, more and more desperate. Obviously, it's too late for this, and Alphys realizes this right away. She tries to calm Honey down, but he's too agitated. Eventually, he faints because he can't take it anymore and Undyne has to quickly rush him to the hospital to avoid his soul breaking from a fall down. She saved him, but Honey will never be the same again, haunted.
Underfell Sans - That's the most horrible way to go for him as he actually already almost died from a cave-in Underground and survived an entire week like this. It's too much for his soul. He's panicking and, trying to flee, he gets crushed under a big pile of rocks. He doesn't see death coming.
Underfell Papyrus - He's a soldier, and he is trained to act in case of a cave-in. Well, maybe not with a leg missing, but eh, he's still doing it. Well, maybe the fact he saw his very own leg dust in front of his eyes was a good enough shock to encourage him to move the hell out of there. He keeps screaming after his brother, but his brother is not answering. As he finally manages to crawl outside, he meets the rescuers who quickly take things in hands. He waits nervously as they save a terrified Doomfanger covered in blood but still well enough to claw the face of his rescuers, but not his brother. Eventually, Edge has to go to the hospital, but Undyne promises to search for his brother (and watch over his demonic cat). Undyne finds Red dust not an hour later. Edge barely reacts to the news. Maybe he already knew deep inside. He simply stays silent. He needs time to process the information. As the day passes, he's more and more distressed.
Horrortale Sans - He can't think rationally right now and he's completely freaking out, having PTSD of what Undyne did to him. All he knows is that it's hurting like hell and that he doesn't want to go through this again. He decides to give up and his soul breaks. He can't do this again. He can't.
Horrortale Papyrus - He's in agonizing pain because of his back, but he's still talking out loud to calm down Oak. He can't see him, and he hopes he hears him, so he keeps talking, saying random facts he remembers. It helps him to calm down as well. Eventually, he hears Toriel and Grillby nearby, as they hear him talking. He's so relieved he starts to cry. The adrenaline is starting to wear off and he's completely self-conscious of how fucked up his back is right now. He has no doubt he's not escaping the wheelchair this time, but he's taking it surprisingly well. Toriel can't even move him because of how bad he's in pain and despite her healing magic trying to soothe him. He keeps a brave face. It's just a bad moment to pass, he had been through worse. But no worse pain than learning a few minutes later that Grillby found what's left of his brother. Willow completely breaks down, horrified, and no words can't soothe him this time. Toriel and Grillby refuse to let him go alone in the ambulance. They're family too, more than ever now.
Swapfell Sans - He has head trauma. He's self-conscious about it. He can't remember what he was doing ten minutes ago and it's getting worse and worse. He spends his last moment wondering how he will know if he forgets who he is. Can you forget your own identity? His last thought is for Rus. He swears he's going to kill him wherever he's going if that stupid idiot dies too. Unfortunately, he loses his battle against the desperate need to sleep and he dusts a few minutes later.
Swapfell Papyrus - He tried to jump by the window, but unfortunately, his butt stayed stuck in the window. He felt the whole house fall on his back, and a lot of things were stuck in his ribcage. He had time to kill to see it, and he slowly freed himself, patiently clearing the way. He's glad his phone is still working, and he tried to call Nox a few times. He knows his brother is strong, he must be somewhere. He actually hears Nox's phone ring near and manages to find his brother, completely unconscious. He tried to wake him up, but the huge crack in his head was obviously mortal. He tries to lie to himself, but he can't. He simply sits next to his brother and tells him he loves him and that he can finally rest now. And that he will stay safe and that he doesn't need to worry so much for him anymore. He's fine. He's all grown up now, he can go. He doesn't know if Nox heard any of this by the time he dusts next to him... But he hopes he did. Moving on from here is hard, but Rus holds on. It was always a possibility Nox would die one of those days, and they were both ready for it. Sure, Rus didn't expect he would die like this, but... Sometimes, life is a bitch.
Fellswap Gold Sans - He spends his last moments screaming his brother's name until he can't anymore because of his crushed ribcage. Once he hears Coffee answers him, he just sighs, relieved, and dusts on the floor.
Fellswap Gold Papyrus - He took a big rock on the head and stayed unconscious for a long time before he heard his brother calling him. He weakly tried to answer, but then no one answered again. Distressed, Coffee starts to crawl in the rumble with his head trauma to find his brother and collapses when he sees only his clothes, covered in dust. He immediately gives up and resigns to die as well, too weak anyway to crawl to an exit. Alphys found him unconscious and managed to rescue him. Coffee woke up almost three months later at the hospital, completely confused and disoriented, but with the only thought that it's not fair he made it and not his brother. It's going to be a rough few months as he recovers with no will to do anything, but eventually, he tries to move on.

Draw whoever you think fits perfectly in the rolls!!!!
(If you want. No pressure!)
Hello Val, hope you’re doing good💕 I’m assuming you mean to the boys!
Tumblr media
These are my placements!^^ (click for better quality)
Just the placements I thought worked best considering the boys and their s/o, I go into detail below:
1. Red and Dust;
Red being the flirtatious jackass he is, flirts with everyone and is known to do so... Sooo! When he finally gets a crush, the person he flirts with finds it difficult to take him serious. You might find he has changed his flirting slightly however, making less "dirty" jokes towards you and he might try more romantic advances...
Dust is so far removed from anything and everything, being caught in a circle of kill or be killed has really fucked with him sadly. It's been such a long time since someone flirted with him too... He definitely wouldn't take the hint if you did.
2. Blue and Classic;
Blue is such a sweetheart! He is definitely your biggest fan if you let him, if not he'll be your biggest fan in secret... He'll support whatever you like, whatever sort of hobby you have... and generally he'll be your number one cheerleader whenever he can!
Classic is a huge nerd, which is really no secret! He can ramble on on about anything in particular, can you blame him? He doesn't feel comfortable with just anyone, so when he meets someone like you?? He just can't help himself from gushing with all the exciting new information he just learnt.
3. Black and Edge;
Black loves a challenge!! Please, please challenge him! He won't admit how much he likes that you are better than him in certain areas, but he sure will admire you from afar. And the way you snap at him when he's being a jackass towards you? It lights something in him, what can I say!
Edge is a tsundere! Really he is! He takes some time to warm up to/takes a while for him to warm up to you. But he admires your passion and spirit! The way you don't take shit, the way you talk back. In his world it means you can survive without him being too worried about you, and that is a HUGE pluss for him! This man seriously worries 24/7.
4. Buns and Cream;
Buns my baby!!!;; On a serious note, don't mess with him. He is baby, but he'll fuck you up if he has to! Sadly your little Bun has been through hell and back and knows how to protect you if he has to. But please, he is so so tired of all the violence and inconsistencies! All he wants is a calm and safe life with you, where he doesn't have to worry about food and enemies.
Cream is tough! Like tough tough. Sure he hasn't been through hell necessarily, but he has been through tons of hard training to become a royal guard! Don't think Undyne goes easy on him, only because she has a soft spot for him. He also has such positive energy, whatever you go through he'll have your back! And he'll make sure you get through it unscratched!
5. Mutt and Stretch
Mutt is chaotic... but like in a chill way? He'll bring you along on the stranges of adventures: bring you with him to his shop, to the lab, to the store and so on. And pretty much each and every time you come out of it with the strangest of stories? Like you were going to the store and now you're in a completely different AU saving the world? He can't help it either, like these huge changes happens to his plans and he just goes with it?
Stretch is such a meme, man doesn't take anything seriously. He had to be a grown up from a really young age, so he could properly take care of Blue. Honestly, he's just so tired and he want to makeup for all the time he lost. It has taken a toll on him, so he's basically making it his life mission to just mess around with everything and everyone! Beware you'll be his number one target you know...
6. Dust!Paps and Axe;
Dust!Paps is really just a little coward, now it is a little difficult to place him! Since he is basically made up by Dusts imagination and insane guilt for killing his brother. But if we were to say he was his own body and soul for a second, this man is spiteful af. Tired of being killed because of Dusts complete obsession to kill the human and gain LOVE. So he is spiteful, but still the sweet and kind Papyrus deep inside. Something you will get to see if you're patient enough with him.
Axe is a dom daddy for sure... He probably wouldn't say it like that, but this man has literally no shame. And I'm not just talking with sexual encounters, but in general! He is the boss and he will let you know. Taking care of you the way you should, making sure you've eaten, gotten enough water, gotten enough sleep. Did I mention he is basically just pure instinct? Like sure, he is just a funny more morbid version of Classic. But at the end of the day, this man is also the most animalistic out of the bunch.
Now I'm so so late answering this!! I've been busy with college and barely gotten to draw for several months, but thats life. I'm happy I've gotten to this one at last💕

The Dreemurr Family
Tumblr media Tumblr media
SymbioteTale cast (1/?)
First (ur here!) ▪︎ Next: Sans & Papyrus
undercut for those who are unable to see/read the texts in the pics.
The Dreemurr Family came to the facility early before the symbiotes started infecting the surface. They are clueless regarding the parasites and was not aware of their infections that has slowly occurred. Asgore and Toriel agree to help with an experimentation offered by the scientists.
Eventually meeting their demise as the parasites quickly eliminating them as a threat. Leaving the remaining children of the Dreemurr.
The scientists took good care of them after the unfortunate outcome. They take full responsibility of their death even though it was unintentional. Besides, who else will care for them when there's danger lurking outside the facility.
It's best to stay safe.
Papyrus and Undyne, who are older than the twins, volunteered to take care of them and act as an older sibling. This inspires the twins to help them around the facility when they're busy with other children. Since Papyrus has a little brother, the Dreemurr twins helps him take care of him and treat him as their own little family to repay his kindness.
Sans was 3 years old while the Dreemurrs twins were 8. Now they're 25.

1/APR/20XX
[After checking the page again, the words have ACTUALLY been written properly this time - with a working pen.]
[A small attached sticky note reads, "heheh. couldn't not, sorry."]
i'm carried out of bed and immediately served chocolate pancakes as papyrus briefs me on the day's plan - all before i even finish waking up fully.
"YOU WANTED TO GO TO AN ARCADE, SO THAT'S WHAT WE'LL DO FIRST - EVERYONE ELSE IS GOING TO MEET US THERE, SO DON'T SAVOUR MY COOKING 𝘛𝘖𝘖 LONG."
" 'k."
"AROUND LUNCHTIME, WE'RE GOING TO STOP BY GRILLBY'S... UNFORTUNATELY."
"AFTER... WE'LL JUST HANG OUT AT MS. TORIEL'S HOUSE FOR THE REST OF THE NIGHT; CONSIDERING IT WOULD BE THE CLOSEST."
"ok."
"sounds good."
"...."
he looks over his shoulder to see me still yawning, giving an eyeroll gesture and placing a cup of hot coffee in front of me.
"CAN'T HAVE YOU FALLING BACK ASLEEP IMMEDIATELY, SO DRINK UP!"
"...doesn't work, remember?"
"..RIGHT."
beside it, he places a cup of ice water.
"THAT SHOULD, RIGHT?"
i mumble an affirmative response. papyrus takes this as good enough.
——
"Yo!"
undyne high-fives papyrus, then grabs me for an aggressive noogie.
"Excited for today, you decrepit bag of bones?!"
"PLEASE BE CAREFUL WITH HIM, UNDYNE."
this diverts her wrath onto papyrus instead.
"PLEASE BE CAREFUL WITH 𝘔𝘌, UNDYNE!!!"
me and alphys fistbump.
"Good choice."
"figured you'd approve."
"S-Still wish they hadn't plastered that creepy ice cube's face EVERYWHERE in this place. Can't even have one bare wall."
"whaaat? ice-e's an icon."
"Of weird c-corporate marketing."
"and unsolvable puzzles."
"They were always that way, then?"
toriel and frisk - flowey wrapped around the kid's arm - wave as they approach.
frisk nods.
"Even the first one Sans and Papyrus set out for me back in Snowdin was unsolvable."
"IT WAS?!"
"Weird letter inconsistency."
"SANS!! YOU NOT ONLY PUT OUT A 𝗖𝗥𝗢𝗦𝗦𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗗 OF ALL THINGS, BUT AN 𝘐𝘔𝘗𝘖𝘚𝘚𝘐𝘉𝘓𝘌 ONE?!?"
"whoops."
"SIGH."
"REALLY, I DON'T KNOW WHY I SIMPLY DIDN'T DO IT ALL MYSELF!!"
"I CERTAINLY WOULD HAVE CAPTURED THE HUMAN WITH EASE."
"ER-"
"I'M!! GLAD I DIDN'T THOUGH, NOW!!!"
we chat for a while more before actually going inside -
"I MISS THE SUN ALREADY."
- and splitting off towards the games each of us preferred. toriel simply stuck by me to observe whatever i decided on.
somehow, at some point, we ended up just playing air hockey really badly.
𝘤𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘬. 𝘤𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘬. 𝘤𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘬.
"Is this how you play??"
"is this how you play???"
repeatedly smacking the pushers together, the puck was ignored.
——
papyrus won a scary amount of tickets and used them to redeem two dart guns. one was instantly hijacked by undyne, who cackled after ricocheting a dart off papyrus' skull. she was going to fire at me, but
"You're spared for today. Don't think I won't get you another time, though!!!"
"..cool."
grillby's wasn't far, and the weather was pleasant, so walking was actually pretty alright.
the bar erupts into noise as we show up. there was a barrage of questions and comments about everyone and everything, but the chaos made any recollections of it blurry. (fun chaos, don't get me wrong.)
i waited for the right moment - somehow, i knew it would happen.
my brother raises his glass of milk.
"WILL EVERYONE PLEASE RISE AND GIVE A TOAST TO MY BROTHER, SANS, WHOSE BIRTHDAY IT IS TODAY?!"
a roaring sound that resembles a "YEAH!!" as everyone in the restaurant rises to their feet.
i move quickly, placing one on each seat - unnoticed amidst the commotion.
"THREE..."
"TWO..."
"ONE!"
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SANS!!!"
appearing beside my brother as if i'd not moved at all, i clink a bottle of ketchup with the various other beverages being lifted.
and then a loud,
deafening,
𝙋𝙋𝘽𝘽𝘽𝘽𝘽𝙁𝙁𝙁𝙏𝙏𝙏𝙏
as everyone sits back down.
it was beautiful. enough to make a grown man cry.
tears of laughter, that is.
a magician clown never reveals his secrets, but i sure was asked "HOW?!" a lot.
——
the sun has just finished setting. for the first time today, it's quiet. a gentle breeze cools the day down. toriel and i hang around on the porch to take it in - myself sat upon the rail.
"Are you truly alright with not getting much...?"
"yeah."
"spendin' time with you folks is all i wanted."
"and i got it, so."
"seems like a pretty good birthday to me."
"Still, it feels lackluster to have shown up empty-handed."
"i mean. you brought cake."
"That is a given."
"here."
"if you're really concerned about me not getting any gifts..."
"..."
i gave her a goofy grin.
"gonna be corny for a sec, hope you don't mind."
"I do not have a 𝘤𝘰𝘣-lem with it."
"In fact, I am all 𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘴."
in that moment, i couldn't have been more certain.
i push myself up into my knees to deposit a quick kiss on her cheek.
"...that can be my gift."
dropping myself back down to sit on the porch rail.
". . ."
"sorry for suddenly 𝘱𝘰𝘱𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘨 that onto you. wanted to 𝘦𝘢𝘳nestly-"
puns were halted as my mouth became suddenly occupied with something else.
when she eventually let go, i found myself sputtering momentarily trying to find my words.
"There. You being on the receiving end makes it much more of a gift, does it not?"
"i-"
"i, uh."
"thought i was supposed to initiate it??"
"The cheek is close enough. And that one, you did."
"I will count it."
"....."
"there's another thing i'm s'posed to do."
"a ques-"
toriel puts her hand over my mouth.
"Do not ask it today."
"We would have to celebrate our anniversaries on your birthday."
"what? you don't want a double-event?"
"There is a multitude of reasons."
"shoot."
"...?"
"gimme 'em. gimme the reasons."
"Firstly, birthdays are to be spent with a multitude of friends and loved ones. Anniversaries are for spending with the romantic interest. To do both of those at once would be impossible."
"Secondly, it would subtract from the specialness of each as well."
"Thirdly-"
"it'd be easier to remember."
she hadn't noticed me slowly inching my face closer and closer to her own until i spoke.
"Th-"
"birthversary rolls right off the tongue, too."
"..."
"I'll show YOU a tongue."
she suddenly sticks out her tongue. my proximity causes me to have to back away quickly.
too quickly.
toriel leaps forward and wraps an arm around me to stop me from going completely backwards off the rail.
"I did not mean for that to happen."
"good catch."
"Oddly, not the first time you have fallen from my railing."
"yeah, i'm gettin' 𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘭 good at doing that accidentally."
"Hehehe."
"Do I need to install rails for my rails?"
"gonna box me in, huh?"
"If it will stop you from falling, then maybe I will."
𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘬, 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘤𝘬.
"WE'VE DECIDED ON A SLEEPOVER-"
we both looked to the back door.
with a blanket draped over his right arm, papyrus stopped speaking to stare at us blankly for a moment.
arms wrapped around each other, being bent over the rail, her hips between my legs...
"..I ASSUME YOU ARE BUSY."
"....."
"might be a minute."
promptly spinning 180 on his heels, papyrus went back inside; carrying the same expression the whole time.
immediately bursting into laughter, tori lifts me up the rest of the way and places me on the porch.
"Awkward-looking situations seem to be your forte, my dear."
"no kidding."
"At least it was Papyrus."
"yeah."
"..."
"so, can i ask you the-"
"Another time."
"ok."

Why is Horrorfell bad??? You make Horror and Fell both good dads I don’t understand
Imagine this for a second, Anon
Imagine a Underfell where the monster aren’t only cruel, but desperately hunger too and driven to madness. Imagine a kingdom run by a Fell Undyne, who wanted to kill humans from the very start, and is now on a personal level, hurt by one, even if that human didn’t mean to. Imagine that rage that already has doubled. Imagine how that rage will be with a plague of hunger and loss of sanity.
The hunger is the worst possible situation for the Underfell characters. They already try to kill each other- and now they will attempt to eat each other. The closest thing to describe Horrorfell is AxeTale, and if you know that AU, you know how disturbing and messed up it is. Horrorfell is unsafe for all and past redemption, unfortunately.
It’s all about survival and eating. Nobody will care who dies in the process,
I never stated Horrorfell, or Bear, as I’ve seen many call him, was abusive in a sense of malicious intent. He doesn’t hit Aliza but he does berate her. Which he should not be doing. Belittling her and screaming in her face while holding her arm and dragging her around is unhealthy behavior and abuse.
However, he has his reasons for this. He doesn’t explode for nothing. Aliza is a teenager who is stuck in a world where if she steps outside without supervision or doesn’t chose to kill, she will get eaten. And because she’s a teenager and frustrated, she rebels and almost dies many times. Bear is aggressive in hopes she will stay quiet and agree, but Aliza, of course, does not listen.
He’s not a good father. But nobody can be in Horrorfell. The fact that he hasn’t eaten her yet is already a commendable feat in Horrorfell, as many parents turned to their kids first. Bear has not. He loves her wholeheartedly. He’s just lost his mind, is constantly hungry and angry, and paranoid she will die at any minute because she refuses to listen to him.
Which is why when Core Chara came and offered to take Aliza away to a safe place, it was the first time his anger and paranoia cleared enough to allow him to cry in relief. He let her go easily. Because he knew she’d be okay and wasn’t as far gone as he was. She could heal. She could live. He could not. Sans was gone a long time ago, and no amount of healing could ever bring him fully back, especially when his brain is permanently in survival mode.

Wishbone Chapter 3 Snippet
“sure,” he says, snuffing out the cigarette in one of the china teacups. Not his fault this fancy hotel doesn’t provide ashtrays and if his hands are shaking a little now that they aren’t occupied, so what? “so. how’ve you been? gotta be pretty jetlagged. what’re the netherlands like this time of year?”
Again, your face is still blank, but he can feel how thrown you are by the question. “I’m fine,” says your mouth, but the inner workings of your cognition are honest in a way that you aren’t. “The Hague was also fine.”
You cross the room and sit in one of the armchairs across from him, placing your bag neatly at your feet. His soul sings at your proximity.
“I fielded a few questions about the bond, but I redirected most of it to the Treaty. Your name isn’t in the media anymore than it was before.”
“okay,” he says. You’re so fucking close to him. It’s making his thoughts turn to mush. “your, um, hair looks nice.”
As soon as the words leave his mouth, his skull flushes hot. What the fuck is wrong with him? Real fucking smooth.
Your hand flutters to your head. “It’s a good distraction technique - the tabloids care more about my appearance than they do the bond or anything else actually important. They’re talking about my haircut and not…” You gesture at him. “This. You.”
“you gonna get a mohawk if i do something really scandalous?”
Your face stays neutral, but he feels a tiny flicker in the flame, some mixture of incredulousness and amusement. Whether that’s because of the joke or his sheer audacity, he can’t be certain. “Please don’t do anything scandalous. The press will tear you to shreds, and I don’t have the time in my schedule to put you back together.”
Oof.
Okay, but amusement is progress! It’s not outright derision, at least! And you haven’t lobbed a single fireball at him. Take that, Undyne.

Hello! How are you?
Could I please request a oneshot
Sans x female reader (angst or fluff or a mix of both 😅 or whichever you like)
Sans is sick with a cold / flu and the female reader takes care of him?
If you can't or don't want to, then no problem, it's okay! Thank you!
Have a great time! 😁
Hiya! I’m doing well, hbu?
AHHHH MY FIRST REQUEST I'M SO EXCITED!! ALR ALR I WANNA GET STRAIGHT INTO IT!
Warnings : Sans puns
You groggily wake up in the Snowdin inn (Or as Sans calls it, the Snowdinn) to a phone call. You rubbed your eyes and answered.
“Papyrus, can’t you get Sans to read you a bedtime story? It’s like 2 in the morning…”
Papyrus sighed on the other line.
“It’s not that human! Sans is sick! He seems to have the flu. While I, the Great Papyrus, could easily take care of him, he requested you, and you specifically!”
You pinch yourself. You're not dreaming. Who knew monsters could get sick? But your stomach soon filled with dread.
“Is it bad?”
The sound of metal falling on the ground startled you.
“Nyeh! Cursed bowl full of inconspicuous water! Sorry human, a bowl full of inconspicuous water fell off the stove! I was going to make some spaghetti for Sans. I was going to use that water! But Sans obviously knew he was going to get sick, and so in a brilliant move, he went through space and time to give me a bowl of hot water! And I’ve soiled it!”
Well, you weren’t too worried. If it was bad, Papyrus would have been panicking. Probably.
“Mhm. Tell Sans I’ll be there in a bit Paps. See you.”
“Farewell Human!”
“And tell him I’ll check his temperature.”
You really don’t know if that would work but oh well. Better safe than sorry.
You got your faded ribbon and muscle glove and headed out to Sans and Papyrus’s house. How do you take care of a sick skeleton exactly? You didn’t even know monsters, much less skeletons, could get sick. Do you just treat them like a sick human?
You enter their home and head up to Sans’s room before noticing he was just on the couch, covered in ketchup and not wearing his jacket.
“Hey Sans. You doin’ ok?”
Sans looked over and shrugged.
“Good as I’ll ever be. Wanna do some Netflix and chills?”
You roll your eyes, smiling, as Sans laughs at his own joke. He’s used that pun before and it caught you so off guard and you got so red he asked if your SOUL moved up to your face. He just wanted to see you do that again! But, you manage to not blush.
“Aww don’t give me that look.”
You sit down next to him and offer a hug. He accepts it and puts his head down on your chest. Maybe it was just because you lived in Snowdin and it was somehow perpetually cold, but Sans did seem very warm. He swore his favorite place to lay was your chest to hear your heart, and maybe that was true. But it was also just comfy laying on your breasts.
“Ah! Welcome human! You came just in time to taste test the spaghetti!”
You gave a polite smile and you and Papyrus talked while Sans fell asleep. As much as you liked Papyrus, the fact that not even Sans could get past the fact that his brother's cooking wasn’t very good is a testament. But you and Undyne also agree that Papyrus is improving, Sans even more so.
“Hey Paps, can you get some napkins so I can clean some of this ketchup off?”
Papyrus got some napkins and handed them to you. He went back to the kitchen to continue cooking the spaghetti. You wiped the ketchup off of the places you could and sighed. Silly Sans.
You remember when you first met. You had just left the ruins, and Sans was messing with you. Stepping on branches behind you and appearing and disappearing in the distance. Then he tapped your shoulder, so you whipped around and hit him with your Toy Knife. You were so surprised and scared. Blood was dripping everywhere. But then Sans just took a sliced bottle of Heinz ketchup out of his jacket and simply said ‘Damn. In Heinz sight, that wasn’t a good idea.’
You grabbed a blanket and put Sans’s head on your shoulder and covered him up. But to your surprise, a thermometer fell out of his pocket. You grab it and notice it’s covered in warm water.
“Sans.”
You could tell Sans was doing that little gremlin smile that he does whenever he gets you with a whoopie cushion.
“You're not sick, are you?”
Sans got up and shrugged, putting his jacket on.
“Alright alright I admit. I feel fine. I guess you could just say I was feeling… bonely.”
Man. You should have known that bowl of inconspicuous water was, in fact, very conspicuous.
GAHH I’m sorry it was so short :( BUT! Since sans simps are well and alive (I presume at least) more Sans content probably on the way.

How do you interpret US Papyrus? I'm always curious how others interpret him because there's a good range of them!
Ooh, in general?? Hm, I guess mostly the way I try to interpret him is sort of like if you gave UT Papyrus chronic fatigue and issues tied to having to act as the judge in his world! Which, to me, basically makes him very silly, kind, sassy, but also very insecure and very lonely.
I should explain- ough this is gunna be an essay so there'll need to be a readmore soon aha, but I should explain how the whole "judge" thing usually works in my interps!
It's not an inherent thing, or some "angel given" power, there has always been an acting Royal Judge, someone the crown had appointed that they felt they could, well, trust the judgement of, who they could consult about crimes and justice and whatnot. The prior judge Fell some years ago, but since Toriel/Asgore had already left, Asgore/Toriel never appointed another, as a sort of self punishment as well as a promise they would continue with their task of collecting the human souls without the assistance (or interference) of someone else.
That was until Sans/Papyrus came along. The "judging" effect was caused by one of the many methods Gaster used to make the brothers, involving the justice soul trait. This is where the KR came from, as well as the unique ability to "see" the sins in others' souls. After discovering this unique ability, eventually the king/queen asks Sans/Papyrus to act as the new judge (as well as some other reasons that vary depending on AU).
Now, the kr and "judge" ability manifested in Stretch much later than the sanses in non-swapped AUs, which made it a much more difficult transition that only made it much harder for him to socialize with others. He basically couldn't "turn it off", which, on top of feeling incredibly guilty about the invasion of privacy, made him feel anxious and stressed out and couldn't help but put the negative thoughts front and center in his attention, making him also feel like those were the most prominent thoughts and feelings of those around him.
So like, you know how anxiety and self image issues make you feel like everyone secretly hates you or finds you annoying or etc etc etc, basically, he had "proof" that was true, and despite trying his best to ignore it, things are already hard enough for a pre-teen/teen, on top of his physical health taking such the dip it did around that time, too, he quickly became anxiety riddled, isolated, and miserable.
Before then, he was actually a lot like Rus (UT) when he was a kid! And it was hard on Blue, too, since he was practically just a teen himself, so for all of that to land on his brother as well as needing to work harder to take care of him when he had bad health flares, things were rough for a while there.
That being said, Blue did help in keeping Stretch's mental health from completely plummeting, always trying to keep his mood up, encouraging him, trying to find him friends (how he met Undyne aka Sylv!), etc etc, and the brothers grew a lot closer in that time, as Stretch had always admired Blue, and it meant a lot to him.
That was until, of course, things never got any better. His health continued to decline into older teendom/young adulthood, and there was some personal drama here and there, especially involving Sylv, and when Blue joined the guard, that was the last straw. Stretch was sick of feeling like such a burden on everyone, so even though he'd initially turned Toriel down to act as judge (knowing his brother absolutely hated that she'd even asked him in the first place), he went back to her and accepted. That was really when the distance between the brothers started, which wasn't helped by the resets starting up soon thereafter.
(Quick aside, as he got older, he did get the hang of controlling his "judging" ability, and "turning it off" is no longer an issue for him later on)
So in his efforts to become more independent, he worked a lot on his social life and how to interact with others and make himself well liked. Sure, maybe he doesn't really have any real friends, and people forget his name all the time, but he'd finally learned how to utilize his heightened intuition to get along with people, rather than weird them out.
He’s still riddled with anxiety and self worth issues, but he’s gotten incredibly good at masking, and typically comes off as very relaxed and friendly. He’s a big fan of wordplay and very mild practical jokes (like those types of gags where you put on Groucho Marx glasses and pretend to be someone else. Blue always plays along for the bit), but he has a tendency to hold people at arms length, and tries to avoid others actually getting to know him.
Very few people know he’s the judge, and he prefers it that way, he'd rather everyone underestimate him so he never disappoints. That being said, he does still make quite an effort to help those around him without their knowledge, and he’s still lowkey very interested in engineering and computer science. Him and Rus are definitely two peas in a pod when it comes to interests, they could talk about comics for hours on end, but the primary difference is that Stretch tries much harder to hide how much he cares, where as Rus will shout it from the rooftops.
I'm not a big fan of the characterizations that make him a huge brat, sometimes even an outright jerk, I don't really understand them since neither Sans nor Papyrus are like that, but w/ my guy, he’s definitely a huge dork and sweetheart, who just also happens to be very sassy at times ahdjfjsksk
He also still holds on to his belief in others, like Rus. Even despite literally knowing better, he’s also been proven right too many times to lose that hope, which is why, in his fight, as opposed to UT Sans, he gets very quiet and looks miserable. He genuinely doesn't want to hurt them, but he knows he’s out of options. When he offers an out before the fight, he won't spring a surprise attack, and just offers a genuine hug. The player doesn't get a choice after accepting, they kill him, and his final words are pretty similar to Rus' about knowing they can do better, and he believes in them anyway, though he makes a comment about that sounding pretty stupid with a laugh before he collapses off screen.
WOW this got longer than I meant it to I'm sorry huge lore drop instead of just general facts ough BUT ! Idk, hopefully this gives a half decent feel for how I interpret him! I love him a lot I'm mixing him into a salad like a crouton <3

I was looking back through your character analysis stuff bc you are great(!) at this kinda thing and you said a sentence that has me curious in so many different ways.
"and what better scenario for this than one where 1) everyone he truly loved is already dead, and 2) there's a brand new unethical system of power ready to be taken advantage of now that he's got nothing left to lose."
In the best possible way, what the hell does this mean? What *could* this mean? I'd it referring to the obvious answer of "He starts getting LV"? Is it referring to him working up the underground's political system (becoming King for some reason)? Is it some secret third option???
Even if this is obvious or meant to be left to suggestion, I would love an expansion and/or exploration of this idea further because it is so captivating.
(Anyway, love your work! Keep it up)
BAHAHAHA, nothing that drastic, don't worry! but... sorta the second option there? not all the way to king though
king mtt ending: dystopian, celebrity king with zero leading experience and dubious mental stability (he is one stage of grief away from killing himself at any moment), takes power in his own hands, sets off a countrywide brainwashing campaign, ignores the kingdom's multiple crisis and if anyone opposes him too much they "disappear". what does sans do? why, he climbs up the social ladder (either by kissing his ass or making himself useful) and secures himself a place as his agent. he neither fights or miss l nor survives the system, he exploits it to cover his own ass, and rip bozo to the poor bastards underneath. now, with papyrus still around he'd obviously have something else left to care about and dedicate himself to after securing their own safety in the system, but if papyrus is gone, well. i don't see why he should give a fuck and not go along with whatever plans mtt has
empress undyne ending: undyne seizes power, declares war (again), expands the royal guard massively, and turns the underground into a massive military state hoping to crush humanity. what does sans do? ...well, we don't know for sure. he ends the phonecall on a rather vague threat
Tumblr media Tumblr media
lots of people take this to mean that he's really, REALLY hoping undyne will kick your ass, but still acts as a passive observer. which i think is a perfectly good reading. now, i wouldn't say what I'm about to propose is canon, more like a personal theory/hc of mine... but there's another line in the phonecall I'd like to call attention to. and well. when you connect the two? considering sans' background as a scientist?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
...i think they have some REALLY fun implications :]

Thinking about it. People have discussed to death and debated over whether Chara was ‘good’ or ‘evil’, and talked about their feelings on fandom’s early tendency to cast them as a villain. But now I’m wondering why a lot of fanworks cast them as a hyperactive little shit who swears a lot, gets mad easily, argues with everyone, and is sassy as hell.
Sassy and sarcastic I can see if you’re going by Narra Chara. But rude, hyperactive, yandere-esque, and especially the swear words... not so much?
And yeah, I could make arguments about how hiding their face paints a very shy and quiet image. But I’m not going to grasp at straws from still images. I’m going to use dialogue very few ‘Chara is evil’ believers are willing to argue DIDN’T come from them.
In No Mercy, which is the one route basically everyone agrees they narrate, they’re direct and to the point and usually distant and unemotional. They’re not yelling that you’re a fucking donkey for believing you’re above consequences and can take back control, or heartlessly ripping into the monsters for being so foolishly naive and weak, or gloating over their victory. They calmly explain who and what they are, and what they want. The few times they do insult you, they use sophisticated words like ‘perverse sentimentality’. When they dismiss the monsters they’ve met until now, they don’t go out of their way to be really cruel and insulting. They remain direct and to the point, and are usually cold and harsh statements of fact.
Toriel’s check in No Mercy is ‘Not worth talking to.’ They’re not wrong. In every other route, talking does nothing, only persistently sparing her lets you make progress.
Papyrus gets ‘Forgettable’. Again, they’re not wrong. Very few monsters really take notice of him, most only remembering him in relation to other people. As ‘Sans’ brother’ or ‘Undyne’s trainee’.
Monster Kid is just ‘in my way’. Cruel, but objectively not wrong. It’s less of a ponted insult, and more how little they think of them.
For Undyne, the narrator isn’t even particularly cold or disrespectful. In two out of three possible flavor texts, they refer to Undyne as ‘the heroine’. Quite a compliment, and one that isn’t wrong, considering how she’s standing up to a mass murderer and protects Monster Kid.
Mettaton, in No Mercy, gets similarly positive or neutral remarks. ‘Dr Alphys’ greatest invention’ and ‘Mettaton NEO blocks your way’. He sure is blocking your way. And most of the Underground sure does know him as Dr Alphys’ greatest invention. I guess it could be read as sarcastic, but with the tone of all these other bits of flavor text, it feels more like a neutral statement...?
And of course. Sans. He probably has the absolute biggest variety of No Mercy flavor text. ‘The easiest enemy’ could be read as insulting, but this is corrected to a more objective statement of encouragement. ‘He can’t keep dodging forever. Just keep attacking.’ Other bits of flavor text are objective assessments of how tired Sans is, how YOU feel, and how dwelling on the flavor text isn’t a great use of time. At no point do they call him smiley trashbag, that comedian, or...anything really insulting.
At no point do they call ANYONE anything especially insulting. They’re not like Flowey, calling everyone idiots. If anything, a villainous and murderous Chara comes off as more cold and distant. Even the Save Points don’t tell you ‘5 more idiot babies to slaughter’ or specifically demand that you finish everyone off before moving on. Until you reach Sans, Chara makes no effort to discourage or persuade you. They just state objectively ‘x left’ or ‘but nobody came’.
They just... don’t care. They don’t care about any of these people anymore, not even enough to waste energy on insulting them. All they care about is reaching ‘the end’. (Or one could argue they’re at least trying to act like they don’t care.)
Chara states that they were confused upon awakening and chose to follow your lead. Personally I’m inclined to believe that they’re not lying. They choose to follow our orders to the utmost, even when they do not understand those orders, even when those orders lead them to the edge of annihilation.
On a final note. It’s kinda sad how Chara’s systematic completionist mentality is cold and horrifying in No Mercy... but in the Winter Alarm Clock dialogue, it’s a funny anecdote of a more lighthearted time which both Asgore and Toriel remember fondly, and a behavior Asriel still continues to emulate even after he stops idolizing Chara.
Any trait, when taken to the extreme, can become nightmarish.

Saint Serrif
Horrortale Sans, the one AU where everyone thought he was a cannibal(?) despite being a literal monster?? Fun fact: he has not once eaten human flesh! Anyways, here are my headcanons! Enjoy :-)
- Official height is 5'11
- He/Him
- Nihilist
- Taller and thinner bone from unstable magic
- He smiles a lot when he's in a dangerous situation, but otherwise he usually can be seen without one when he dislikes someone or finds them not worth is time listening to
- Has fast reflexes in dangerous situations since he had to be efficient underground. Otherwise, he comes off as slow to others because he takes awhile to actively choose to do something
- He carries guilt from what he did to Lunar, even if he thought that without it his brother would dust. Which, at the time, he would've
- Dedicated, protective, untrusting, observant, responsible, honest, caring, humble, reserved, pessimistic, hardworking, over thinker, cynical, stubborn, aggressive, and blunt
- The most patient Sans out of all the others, but only when he wants to get what he wants. He's only impatient with others who he dislikes
- Good friends with Powder and Red
- Selectively mute, he's more obligated to speak when he chooses to. There are moments where he just can't, however. Most of the time though, action is his language
- Loves any sort of food, a literal dumpster of food. Hell compliment the person's cooking and eat it even if it's utterly shit
- Does not remember Gaster due to all the events that occurred in his timeline. Gaster on the other hand watches in misery and grief, spiteful towards humans
- Will resort to violence easily, he doesn't hesitate to use it even if it's not fully needed
- He curses frequently, has a sailors tongue
- If he is not actively being spiteful, he follows directions without complaint. He may need guidance however, since he overthinks it
- Can be severely petty to the point he's doing it to provoke the other
- He is very deprived of touch, but he's too hesitant to initiate it since he carries a lot of dust and blood on his hands. He gets all stiff and awkward if someone touches him, and it'll take time for him to get comfortable
- Yellowed bone with an ash tint due to his health
- He is the best to rant to since he's quiet and patient, but there are times that he's just not listening at all. He only pays attention if he cares, because otherwise he'll pick his teeth and passively aggressively tell you that yes, he's listening, because he just cares oh so much about it
- He's willing to do anything for those he cares about over his own needs, anything.
- He is a very quiet crier, kinda disassociated as he stares at nothing. Catatonic, in a way
- He would wag his finger cartoonishly when scolding someone or use his finger to beckon someone instead of waving them over
- He clicks his sharp fingers against hard surfaces when impatient, even if he doesn't verbally tell someone that he is
- He would call his lover Lamb
- He summons a thigh bone as a weapon, but he carries a cleaver that he's attached to and will use it when he's low on magic. After all, magic is something he uses sparingly
- He absolutely hates Undyne and Alphys. He calls Undyne "Unbitch" and he isn't afraid to insult her
- He lobotomized Alphys after she betrayed him
- Has a rough sense of humor
- He feeds the people in Snowdin, even going so far as to teleport to the castle to steal food
- He starved underground for about seven years in order to feed the others
- He has awful posture, his neck bent forward and constantly slouched
- His "prank" in the forest was a spinning spike instead of a whoopie cushion
- Is quick to be snappish and rude to those he dislikes, he will only behave if asked by someone he cares about
- He only is nicer to others when above the surface and gains trust in others
- He is quiet when upset, going to Lunar and quietly clinging onto him
- Physically the strongest and most violent Sans, he isn't afraid to use his own hands and its clear that he doesn't mind playing dirty
- He never ate human flesh when underground, but he has fed monsters in Snowdin humans or even animals in order to provide. Because of this, monsters in Snowdin not only were physically changed, but their magic changed as well. It is unknown how the same has happened for Saint, but it's suspected that it's because of his LV that he changed
- Magic smells of veviter and oak, magic tastes of vanilla
- Has memory issues so he owns journals and sticky notes when above the surface. Without it, he struggles to remember even simple facts. He doesn't struggle remembering Lunar, however, since his brother was the only constant in his life
- No one is allowed to touch his skull, as it's his most vulnerable spot
- His other eye socket is pretty much empty, thus making a blind spot for him and means that he doesn't like sudden movement there
- He will not tolerate people wasting food so don't even think about doing that in front of him
- He scratches at his skull as a comfort or a habit when overthinking. But because he's done it for so long, it slightly chips like paint and small amounts of dust flake off
- Good at sewing, he picked up the skill underground after his brother's outfit became tarnished. Because supplies are limited, however, he doesn't bother fixing the ripped up shirt he wears. You can see small sewings on his jacket, however
- Can hardly spell for shit, he has awful handwriting since he had to focus seven years worth of his time through survival
- He ends up wearing a lot of comfortable and soft clothes when above ground, he refuses to wear suits unless hes forced into it
- He treasures gifts dearly, he never lets anything happen to them
- He carries snacks around when above ground since he never wants anyone to feel hungry. He also sneaks food and stocks up on it, he's wonderful at preserving things and splitting it up for rations despite his hunger
- Likes the rain but refuses to go outside without his hood, a hat, or umbrella since the hole in his skull is sensitive to the sensation
- Certain things make his skull hurt while others can rest inside such as flowers. Rain or liquids are usually a no go though because it swishes around
- He doesn't like thunderstorms because it's loud, since his magic is unstable and acts as damaged nerves
- He doesn't like the sensation of mud, the texture is too similar to blood
- He hates liars and those that are secretive. Because of this, he's nosy and good at finding dirt or lies someone has. He's able to determine where someone is, where they went, and most of the time why. But, no one is able to do the same thing with him. He's the best at covering his tracks, and even more so at not sharing information about himself
-He smokes occasionally, drinking even less so unless no one is around. He has to be in a bad mood, or else he won't drink
- He's pretty territorial, protective of who he deems as his close loved ones. So no one is allowed to mess with his brother or some of the other skeletons in the household. He'd kill for them
Closing Notes: he is so silly goofy goober omg😍🤭😋. But seriously I like the combination of putting different versions of him into my own hc's since the bear version and the rat version both have their perks. I plan to explore more of his dynamic with his brother and stuff later on! If you have questions do not be afraid to ask and thank you for reading :-))

Every skeleton's reaction to a human that wants to dress him up in pretty and sparkly clothes, like a doll.
I'll assume it's their kid, because none of them would say yes to a stranger (except Rus, but Rus is weird).
Undertale Sans - Suit yourself. Don't expect him to help though. He's just going to stay there and nap, like a ragdoll, and not moving an inch. He doesn't care, especially if it's his kid doing it.
Undertale Papyrus - He's not sure how it's going to work since, in case you didn't notice, he is very tall, and you are very small. But he's down to it. He always loves parents-kids activities, even weird ones!
Underswap Sans - He's cringing so hard but he knows S/O will growl at him if he doesn't do it so he accepts. He's bitter though. He doesn't like when people remind him he's cuter than normal. As long as he's not only that, it's fine. He knows his kid has no bad intentions anyway.
Underswap Papyrus - He slouches on the floor. Let's go, he's all yours. Honey does have sparkly clothes anyways so nothing new here. He's a cosplayer and he has no problem playing female characters. He's really happy his kid seems to get that pretty dresses are not only for women. That's a proud parent moment.
Underfell Sans - He was about to growl a no, but he made the mistake of looking into his kid's pleading puppy eyes. It's over. He can't resist. With a very loud sigh, he tells the kid to hurry up already. He still refuses to look at the final result though. He has his pride. Nah, just kidding, the kid threatened to cry and he ran to the bathroom to "admire himself in the mirror", forcing himself to compliment his new clothes as Uncle Edge is clearly choking in the background, taking pictures. But eh, that's a good opportunity! Red sneakily tells the kid they should do Uncle Edge too. The kid is so happy. Edge... not. But Edge can't say no to his nephew/niece so rest in peace.
Underfell Papyrus - The worst part was that Undyne was the one who proposed it to his kid, who immediately got excited with the idea. Edge couldn't say anything as Aunt Undyne decided it would happen and that's it. Now he's suffering, getting dressed by both his kid and his boss into dresses and forcing makeup on his bones. He wants to kill Undyne so bad but he can't do it in front of his kid so he's holding back, slowly losing it. He's going to have his revenge, one way or another.
Horrortale Sans - As long as you're not getting near his headhole, he's very fine with it. He doesn't really care as long his kid is having fun. He likes being called a pretty princess by his child and he has no shame showing it, simply purring happily as his child is painting his "nails", or, well, his entire fingers. Same thing.
Horrortale Papyrus - He's usually happy to please his child but... Their pretty dress is short. Like... It stops at the end of his chest, and it's so small he can't breathe. He's scared to make any movement, by fear the dress will just explode. He doesn't want to make his child sad... But that's not the best activity he did yet.
Swapfell Sans - He tries to stay as neutral as he can, but it's hard. So, he was actually happy to let his child dress him in a bright pink shiny dress until the Queen entered his house without knocking for an emergency. Now he's talking about a possible criminal attack in the city dressed as a shiny princess and he's doing his job without blinking. Because if he blinks, he's going to die he thinks. The Queen doesn't even say anything about his dress, they both decide to ignore this fact to avoid further embarrassment.
Swapfell Papyrus - Not only he's going to dress like a princess, but he's going to dress his kid as a princess as well, and then they're both going to parade in the street like the queens they are, with sunglasses and Nox's luxury car he decided to steal on the way out. Nox is going to lose his mind when he will learn that Rus, who has no idea how to drive, threw his beautiful car at full speed into the wall of McDonald's.
Fellswap Gold Sans - He doesn't need an excuse like this to wear a dress thank you very much. Instead of letting his child dress him, he begins to work on handmade matching dresses for his kid and him. They're going to make everyone so jealous in town. Wine is very proud of his creation.
Fellswap Gold Papyrus - He's not too sure about this but he doesn't want to make his kid sad so he does it. Turns out he's a pretty decent doll. But at the first nice thing his kid says to him, he turns bright tomato and you can't get him to say another word because he's blushing hard.

Desert Sanctuary AU pt.2
Due to how many people liked this idea, I decided to develop it further. Here are the roles for the rest of Yellow's main cast as well as the cast of the original game.
UTY:
Feisty Four: Special Forces.
After the Sanctuary was established, Starlo told his friends that they would no longer be 'playing around' and that things were about to get very dangerous. He told them they were allowed to back out at any time they wished. They refused.
They are now essentially Starlo's five-star generals, in charge of training and leading new recruits. They each also have unique roles, important to the security of the Sanctuary.
Ed - He's Clover's primary bodyguard. Whenever the only human in the Underground is out in the open, Ed is almost always the one to accompany him.
Moray - They oversee the prisoners. Prisoners may include mercenaries sent to assassinate Clover, extremists, general law breakers etc. They are basically the warden and treat their prisoners fairly. However, it's been noted that those who attempted to kill Clover received slightly less food.
Ace - Head of investigations. He's the one who finds patterns in places patterns shouldn't exist. Uses his playing cards in his conspiracy boards because Clover told him about a character in a TV Show who did that and he liked the idea.
Mooch - Reconasince and Scavenging. The Dunes aren't all that plentiful in terms of natural resources. That is where Mooch's kleptomania comes in handy. She leads teams into the Greater Underground to gather materials they can't trade for and generally nobody would miss. She also steals information, using her innocent appearance and small size to get people to tell her things or find her way into their darkest closets. She sees the Lab as her greatest challenge.
Dalv: Scholar
He still lives in Snowdin and tries to avoid the conflict. This doesn't mean he's not doing his part. He, like many people on both sides, doesn't want these tensions to spiral into something everyone would regret. So he spends his time shifting through history books, diaries, personal recounts and human myths and legends to figure out exactly what happened during the Human-Monster War.
Original Game
Toriel: Caretaker of the Ruins
Her role hasn't changed from the original game. She heard about the movement and has made contact with them. However, she remains in the Ruins take act as the the first line of protection for any human that falls. After all, the Sanctuary is far from the main path.
Flowey: Observer.
When he realised that Clover wouldn't be going to the castle, he was furious. He believed that this timeline was another dud. However, he had the patience to wait, perhaps because of something Clover said under that Cherry Blossom tree. He realised that this 'Cold Civil War' was the most interesting thing to ever happen in the Underground, and has only ever Reset to save Clover from an assassin. He also believes this conflict to be the key to him getting the souls.
Sans: Royal Judge
Sans doesn't change much from the original game either. He doesn't really care about the conflict. Although, due to his promise to Toriel, he would point any human that leaves the Ruins in the direction of either Martlet or the Dunes.
Asgore had sent him to the Dunes a handful of times to 'judge' the residents. He always comes back with good things to say. He never mentioned the anger buried deep inside Clover's soul.
Papyrus: Member of the Royal Guard.
Due to rising tensions between the two sides, Undyne decided to recruit Papyrus into the Guard because of the increased need for soldiers. He's still a loveable goofball but now takes his role much more seriously. Has a close friendship with Martlet. Capable of killing Frisk depending on the route.
Undyne: Captain of the Royal Guard.
She is much more aggressive than in the original game and is the primary reason the two sides haven't made peace yet. Her anti-human views are stronger than ever she sees the Monsters in the Sanctuary as traitors and has compared them to a cult. Wants nothing more than to skewer Clover. The only thing holding her back is her dwindling respect for Asgore and Gerson's warning.
"Men like Clover can be an ally just as easily as an enemy. The key is not giving them a reason to see you as an enemy. You do NOT want to be their enemy."
Alphys: Royal Scientist.
She is not having a good time. She's under more pressure than ever, is watching Undyne slowly destroy herself and has blackmail hanging over her head. Martlet doesn't know everything in the True Lab but she has seen enough to make people ask questions. Ceroba used this knowledge to get Alphys to provide the Sanctuary with the minimal resources to sustain itself.
Mettaton: Entertainment Robot and Wild Card.
Mettaton isn't aligned with either side and is surprisingly neutral when reporting the conflict. He doesn't want humanity to be destroyed but also sees Clover and his allies as a threat to his own agendas. Has sent multiple mercenaries to collect Clover's Soul.
Muffet: Head of the Spider Colony.
Let's be clear. No one likes her, at least as an ally. Everyone knows that the moment you trust her with something she'll sell it to the enemy.
Asgore: Tired King.
Asgore is probably the only one having a worse time than Alphys. He wants this conflict to end. He doesn't want to watch his people tear each other apart. He truly believes that the Sanctuary is in the right. But he can't bring himself to surrender. There are still so many Monsters who genuinely believe in what he is doing and believe that giving in to the Sanctuary's demands would escalate the conflict further. He is too tired to give any grand speeches or to confront his mistakes properly.
After the first diplomatic meeting, he told Clover, "I should have taken back what I said that night immediately, no matter how many people cheered."
