Hobbies pt.2

pt. 1 came out months and months ago and I just haven't wanted to write up pt. 2. well here it is! once again everyone say thank you toni (@tyrannydarling) for the help coming up with these.

Blue

The biggest one is hiking.

Blue is super into anything that has to do with spending time outdoors. He will spend Hours looking up new trails to hike.

As an extension of that, he is also really into foraging. He has books upon books about safe foraging and what is available in the area.

It was a trial by fire though. He didn't realize things can have highly dangerous lookalikes. After he fed his brother a meal with a lookalike, the night of non-stop vomiting that followed served as a sizable warning for the future.

Stretch now requires proof of safety for everything Blue finds after The Incident.

He is also into birdwatching! He's more casual about it than his other interests, but he likes being able to recognize birds and bird-songs

Blue picked up scrapbooking on the surface once his brother started getting into photography. It's a bonding session for the two of them to collaborate and make a book to commemorate their hike(s).

For a less outdoorsy theme, Blue is also into jigsaw puzzles. He even got a fancy table made for doing puzzles as a Giftmas gift one year.

He's not the Best at them, so a basic 1000-piece will take him a few weeks off and on.

Stretch

He got into photography on the surface.

Stretch was browsing a random small thrift when a vintage film camera caught his eye. Cameras didn't usually make it into the Underground Dump in good shape, so he decided to splurge.

He bought it, found what film he needed, and got to work.

Initially, he only really took practice pictures around the house or at the local parks, but once Blue succeeded in dragging him on a hike, he got more into it.

He does a lot of macro stuff on the hikes. One scrapbook he and Blue work on is just of bugs they find.

Blue is the one that came up with the scrapbooking idea, but Stretch is the one that started stepping up the creativity game and bought the fancy paper, stickers, and stamps.

He makes a lot of friendship bracelets.

His favorite design is the zig-zag but he's good at pretty much everything.

Stuffed animals!

He loves making plushes and has made them since Blue was a babybones. He referenced a few Surface biology books he found in the Dump to make a sea turtle for himself and a rabbit for Blue's 6th birthday.

Indigo

Indi is closest to blue personality-wise, so it is only natural he has a similarly outdoorsy hobby and that's beachcombing!

Underground he used to spend a lot of his free time in Waterfall training with Alphys so he developed a taste for the water.

He isn't very good at swimming but loves to spend hours on the shoreline looking for anything interesting.

He has a Massive shell collection meticulously organized.

He is subscribed to magazine upon magazine about beaches and the latest in beachcombing news.

On the topic of collections, he is an uber-nerd about rocks and has an equally large collection of cool rocks and crystals.

He has taken a number of trips with his brother to rock shows (no matter how far away)

He likes making little crafts with the rejects from his collections.

If he finds a rock or shell in better condition than what he has in the main collection, he'll replace it and use the old item for things like jewelry and decor.

A notorious baker.

Notorious in what way? That's for everyone else to find out.

In all honesty, he's not too bad. The icings might be overwhipped and the cheesecakes a bit curdled but the flavors are actually quite nice.

Strangely enough, he is masterful at making the perfect puff pastry.

Cash

Gambling.

I'm kidding. kinda.

Making money is his life's mission, not his hobby.

His actual hobby is drawing.

He becomes a tattoo artist on the Surface, so having skills in traditional and digital art is important and he has it!

He does a lot of illustrative stuff that happened to translate well into tattooing.

He used to offer to draw Monster's portraits for a few G when he was younger.

Cash has an extraordinary amount of free time so every once in a while he offers commissions online.

On the Surface, he also picks up stained glass.

Initially, it was just a time waster. He picked up a little kit from a craft store and got hooked from there.

He really likes making super personalized window hangers as gifts. Indigo got a beach scene for one birthday that has hung in his room since receiving it.

He wasn't expecting to like it very much, but it only took a few months before he started getting himself some nicer equipment.

There is now a small setup in the garage with his fancy sanders and saw.

Indi installed a nice shelving system to organize all of Cash's glass panes as a gift.

Okay hear me out here, for US, UF and SF, They have just been sucked through the matchine with and in the UT universe and are figuring things out and maybe a few months of that but what UT Sans and Papyrus forget to mention is that Pap is married to our dear sweet Y/N so they decide to pop by and vist and one of the Sans's (US, UF SF) open up and they hug them and are like "Heya bro! how are things? wheres pap ect ect" and they seen pap and obvs jump them cause they haven't seen their husband in a while. Chaos insues XD

WE'RE WHAT?! (Various Papiri X Reader)

Oh boy, this is going to be FUN! I'll write the reactions of the Sanses but know that it is 100% Papyrus X you.

UnderSwap-

-When Blue opened the door, he did NOT expect you to be there. In his universe, you were friends but often had to go to you.

-"Heya bro, how are you?" Bro? Are you really good friends? He hesitantly responded as you let yourself in, looking for your husband. When you spot the lanky skeleton, you speed walk and hug him tightly.

-Stretch was NOT expecting this, he did have a crush on you but you were acting like you were married, Blue was just as baffled as you talk about your day.

-And then YOUR Papyrus appeared out of the kitchen and you were confused.

-After some explanation, they learned that you were married and Stretch was a little flustered, apologizing and everything.

-You reassured the skeleton that it was okay, after all, multiversal accidents don't happen very often.

-Lets just say Blue is planning on getting Stretch and UnderSwap you together.

UnderFell-

-Now with these two, UnderFell you are already dating Edge, if you weren't he'd kick your ass off the moment you touched him. (More like push you away because he's still a softy and doesn't wanna hurt you.)

-So when Red opens the door, you greet him like you did with UnderSwap and he's okay with it, you two are practically siblings in your time from how much you hang out.

-And when you see Edge, you hug him from behind and call him your nickname for Papyrus and he. Goes. REEEEEED.

-He is so stunned he starts stuttering and Red is just watching in amusement but also curiosity. Then Papyrus walks in and things get a little awkward.

-After explaining, Edge takes it like he didn't just melt under your hug and Red is just amused. He may or may not be thinking of wedding plans now.

SwapFell-

-Rus crushed on you in his universe HARD and Mal just wants him to confess already.

-So when you open the door and greet him, he immediately knows what's going on and let's you in.

-When you see Rus, you hug him, greet him with a nickname and tell him how much you missed him.

-Rus is a MESS. Anxious on telling you that he isn't who you think he is and worried that you'd be mad at him.

-Papyrus appears, a knight in shining armor in Rus's eyes.

-After an explanation and numerous apologies from Rus, you were pretty chill about it and Mal had casually walked up to Rus.

-"So, ready to confess yet?" Rus gave him a glare but it did give him some ideas for how to confess.

UnderTale-

-After all the multiversal craziness, Papyrus treated you to your favorite meal, some movies and shows you enjoyed and some cuddling as a way to apologize for not telling you sooner.

-You think it's sweet and even call it a date which makes Papyrus REALLY happy.

-All in all, this is something you'll laugh about in the future, for now, you're happy to be by your husband's side.

Shouting filled the air outside of Blue’s carriage, followed closely by the clang of steel on steel. Blue pulled himself up from where he had fallen, helping his dazed handmaid to sit. They had both gone flying at the sudden lurch of the carriage. Blue had crashed into the soft cushions of the other seat, though his ribs ached from the wooden edges. His handmaid seemed to have crashed into the wall, his height causing him to miss the cushions entirely.

“Pirates! Protect the King!”

Blue flinched at the loud cry right outside his door. Pirates. Of course this kingdom had pirates. Blue knew his own kingdom differed greatly from the ones surrounding it, but he hadn’t realized there were still pirates lurking around. Especially not this far inland!

He glared slightly at the door to his carriage. The quiet pleading of his handmaid to stay put went ignored as he summoned a small bone in one hand and opened the door with his other.

Utter chaos greeted him. The majority of his guard – six skilled fighters, all handpicked by King Asgore himself to bring him safely to the other’s castle – lay still on the ground. Only two remained fighting, a small skeleton like himself and a tall dog monster. As he watched, a human, so small they had to be a child, snuck up behind the fighting skeleton. Before he could do more than open his mouth the other was knocked down, the dog monster falling a second later. Both lay still.

A flash of red was all the warning he got before he was dragged from the carriage. He swung his bone attack upwards, slicing blue scales before it was wrenched out of his grasp. He gasped as his hands were forced behind his back by an iron grasp.

A strangled yell came from the other side of the carriage, and Blue watched in horror as his handmaid was dragged into the open by a tall human. The tall skeleton wasn’t even struggling, his gaze focused on the guards littered on the ground. Blue shook, refusing to look for fear of seeing dust and shattered souls in place of his guards.

His sockets widened when the human pulled out a sharp knife and rose it to the back of the tall skeleton’s skull. He shoved against his capture, managing to slip free of the hold.

“Stop!” He commanded.

He raised one hand as he ran forward, engulfing the knife in blue and wrenching it away from his handmaid’s skull. The human grunted as their hand was forced back, and he could hear the monster behind him cursing. The other skeleton finally turned to him, the smallest hint of tears in his sockets.

Blue stood as tall as he could between the pirates and the other skeleton. He could barely think straight, the only thoughts circling in his mind seemed to be an endless pleading of no, not another one, please let no one else die here, please-

The monster that grabbed him gave him a calculated look. He did his best to keep his face free of any expression, but it was hard with his soul churning in his ribcage. The human glared at him, rubbing their wrist where his magic still fizzed slightly. He refused to feel guilty, the knife still clutched in their hand a stark reminder of what would have happened had he not intervened.

“Leave him be. He’s no threat to you.” He stated, shifting slightly as more pirates gathered around them.

A shark monster, very closely resembling the monster that had grabbed him, laughed slightly under her breath. The human from before chuckled and shook their head, knife held firmly in their hand. Blue glared, and prepared to fight the pirates himself, despite knowing there was no way even he could take on this many alone.

The fish monster that had grabbed him snorted and gestured to the other pirates. “Enough. Take them both.”

Several of them looked shocked, but nodded easily at the orders. Blue glared as several pirates moved forward, all armed with rope. He sighed and relaxed from his battle stance, letting them roughly tie his hands behind his back. They did the same to his handmaid, and soon enough both skeletons found themselves with bags over their heads as they were forced into the back of a wagon.

"I-I-I hope- I hope you don't mi-mind stay-staying with us u-u-until the guard arrives, your ma-majesty." The little yellow monster stuttered.

Blue smiled politely at the young couple in front of him. The smaller of the two was stuttering horribly, and he couldn't tell if it was because she was addressing royalty or if she was just always this nervous.

Either way, Blue smiled and nodded along, doing his best to follow her words. "It is perfectly fine Lady Alphys. I only hope I am not a terrible inconvenience to you. I know you and Commander Undyne were celebrating your recent engagement."

"It is an honour to have the neighboring King stay with us, your majesty." Undyne cut in, her hand gripping tight to the sword on her belt. "Especially after your ordeal."

Blue sighed, but nodded his agreement. "It will be nice to sleep in an actual bed again."

The woman both nodded, then Undyne pointed ahead of them. "There it is, your majesty. I know it is nothing compared to the castles you are used to, but it is the best house in the town."

The house was small for what was normally called 'the best', but then from what little Blue had seen of the small port town there wasn't much money to make anything better. The fact that the house was two stories and more than three rooms already made it better than two thirds of the rest of the town, but the sprawling garden was what really set it apart. Blue hadn't seen anything like it, not even in his castle back home.

"You own this house Lady Alphys?" He asked.

"Ye-yes, your majesty." She confirmed. "M-my father bought it wh-when I was a child."

"It's lovely." He murmured.

Alphys blushed bright red. "Th-thank you, your majesty."

The sound of footsteps echoed behind them. Blue tensed for the briefest of moments before relaxing as his handmaid rounded the corner with his chest of salvaged things. There hadn't been much left after the pirates were finished with it, but there were still a few of his things, plus whatever the knights had been able to return to him upon his rescue.

The tall skeleton stopped a few paces away, bowing slightly and staring at the ground. "my ladies. your majesty. i have gathered everything you asked of me. the knights will look after the rest until king asgore's elite get here."

Blue smiled happily, itching to open the chest and see what had been recovered, but managed to hold himself back. "Thank you Slim."

"Shall we go inside, your majesty?" Undyne asked, gesturing to the house.

Blue nodded and together they made their way into the pretty little house.

"Th-th-there's not a l-lot of room I'm a-afraid, your majesty." Alphys stuttered as she led them around the house. "I-it was only meant as a h-holiday house f-for our family."

Blue smiled, admiring the little kitchen. "It's really alright Lady Alphys. Anything is better than sleeping on a bunch of straw on a pirate ship."

The young monster didn't seem to know what to say to that, so Blue waved his hand and pointed upstairs.

"Would you be so kind as to show me upstairs Lady Alphys? I assume that's where the bedrooms are." It had to be - he had already seen the rest of the house.

"Yes-yes, your majesty." Alphys gestured for him to follow.

Blue turned to Slim and waved him over. He'd lost track of Undyne, but he suspected she had gone back to the Knight's Corner, the little barracks of this town. She was a dedicated Commander, he wouldn't put it past her to make sure the knights were handling everything correctly.

Alphys lead him past a closed door to the end of a small hall. "This is th-the master bedroom, your majesty. I h-h-hope it's to y-your liking."

The room was plain, the walls a deep red and soft floor a dark brown. Blue’s attention was immediately drawn to the large bed in the centre of the room. He could feel his eye lights forming little stars at the sight of the soft bed, which was easily large enough for him to spread out on completely. It had been weeks since he had so much as sat on something so soft, and he couldn’t wait for night to fall so he could wrap himself up in those fluffy blankets.

“Ah.” Blue surveyed the room again, noticing something important. “There seems to be only one bed…”

He glanced from Slim to Alphys. The taller skeleton shifted uncomfortably, his gaze focused on the floor. Alphys was staring at him in surprise, and Blue had to fight the sad smile that wanted to pull at his teeth. He knew things were very different in King Asgore’s kingdom, one of the reasons he had been invited to visit his neighbours was so they could resolve multiple issues that had stemmed from those differences, but to actually see it was having a rather strong impact on the skeleton king.

The people here were harsh and cruel, a stark contrast to his own kingdom, where kindness was like second nature to everyone. To see people so desperate they resorted to kidnapping, to find workers being paid next to nothing and for it to be normal to treat the common folk as less than dirt- it was… distressing, to say the least.

“We-we, um, we weren’t expecting a-anyone else to be…” alive “with you, your majesty.”

Blue couldn’t keep the memories of scattered bodies surrounding him from bubbling to the surface. He grit his teeth together, fighting the nausea that boiled in his soul. He opened his teeth, wanting to say something, anything, to distract himself. His handmaid beat him to it.

“i’ll be fine, your majesty.” Slim murmured.

Blue studied the other, finally sighing with a nod. “Alright.”

It wasn’t alright, but Blue wasn’t about to argue with the other. At least, not now, in front of the nervous little monster. Later, when they were alone, he would be sure to bring it up again.

For now, he simply smiled and lead the other two downstairs for lunch.

Lunch was quiet.

Undyne had reappeared at some point, and Slim had quickly retreated to the kitchen to make them all some sandwiches. The two noblewoman had seemed surprised when he insisted Slim sit and eat with them, but neither dared question the king. His handmaid settled next to him on the long bench, a small sandwich clutched in his hands. Blue saw Undyne raise an eyebrow, but still she said nothing.

Blue ate slowly, his mind going back to his time on the pirate’s boat. His side itched, as if he were still lying in a bed of straw. He shifted, trying to subtly scratch his arm. He could see Slim staring at him out of the corner of his eye, so he forced himself to stop and focus on his food.

Undyne finished first, and it quickly became apparent she couldn’t stand the silence. “Your majesty, forgive me, but is it true you don’t want the pirates killed? Or even harmed unnecessarily?”

Blue took a deep breath and placed the rest of his sandwich down. “Yes.”

Undyne’s face contorted into a frown. “Why?”

Alphys flinched at her fiancée’s blunt question. Slim stiffened at the mere mention of their kidnappers, his head down and sockets dark. The silence stretched for a moment too long, and Undyne had lost her frown for a more uncomfortable look, before Blue finally spoke.

“I wish to know why they kidnapped me. Only then will I decide what happens to them.” He said with an air of finality.

Undyne’s frown was back, and she opened her mouth to ask yet another question, but Alphys cut her off with a jab to the side. “O-of course, y-your majesty.”

Blue studied the two for a moment, before smiling and gesturing to Undyne. “You want to ask me something.”

The fish woman shuffled, not meeting his eyes as she mumbled. “It’s nothing, your majesty.”

Blue resisted the urge to roll his eyes. “You don’t approve, Commander?”

“It’s not that.” She said fiercely. “Those pirates kidnapped you! They should be hanged for that alone, never mind what they did do your belongings, your guards-”

“I’m well aware of what they did, Commander.” Blue interrupted, voice tight. “However, it is in my experience that people have reasons for taking such drastic measures as to kidnap a king. And if I find out those reasons, I can remove them and make sure this doesn’t happen again.” He took a breath, and sent a grin to Undyne. “I find it is much more effective than just killing everyone.”

Undyne considered him for a moment, before nodding tightly. “Yes, your majesty.”

Blue sighed, feeling the weight of darkened sockets on him, and picked up his sandwich.

“you know, the commander had a point.” Slim murmured next to him, tired gaze on the ceiling. “those pirates should be hung.”

Blue sighed for what felt like the hundredth time that evening. “It’s not how my kingdom does things.”

“but it’s how this kingdom does things!” Slim growled. “they’re traitors, thieves and murderers. they don’t deserve to live!”

“Not even the children? Or the pirates that had nothing to do with our kidnapping? Should they be killed too?”

Slim grimaced at his question. “i- well...”

“See? Things aren’t always so black and white.” Blue shifted onto his side, sinking into the soft mattress as he faced the other skeleton. “As a ruler you have to remain open minded to all possibilities. It’s important to try and get to the root of the problem, rather than just kill everyone and hope for the best.”

Slim chuckled as his voice dropped to a whisper. “tell that to king asgore.”

Blue huffed and glared at the ceiling. “I intend to.”

That startled a laugh out of the other, and Blue silently celebrated in victory at the sound. Despite spending several months together, it was a sound Blue had only heard a handful of times. He relaxed into his pillows. The soft fabric cushioned his skull, and even though he knew he had slept in much grander bedding, right now it felt like the best thing in the world. His mind drifted, content.

Slim startled him out of his daze. “you were scratching at your arm earlier.”

Blue flinched, hand automatically reaching for his arm. “It was nothing.”

An unamused snort. “yeah, right. what was it really?”

He cracked one socket open, only to flush under the look the other was giving him. Rarely seen red eyelights were glowing in Slim’s sockets, bright and fuzzy with concern. His teeth were turned down into a small frown, and Blue immediately wanted to wipe it away. It wasn’t a look that suited the other, not at all.

He leaned forward, letting their teeth touch in a brief kiss. “I promise I’m fine Slim. It was just an unpleasant memory.”

“unpleasant memories can hurt more than the real thing.” Slim murmured, pulling him close and wrapping his arms around him. “are you sure you’re okay?”

Blue nodded, snuggling closer to his lover. “Just… please, can we stay like this?”

Slim’s sockets flashed to the door. “…okay.”

“It’s fine.” Blue reassured him with a yawn. “I told them they weren’t to come in here without permission. You can say you slept on the floor if they ask any questions.”

Slim smiled and pulled Blue as close as he could, his long body curling around the other. “okay.”

“Finally.” Blue muttered, peeking out the carriage window at the castle entrance. “If I had to spend another minute in this carriage I would have gone insane!”

Slim hummed next to him, gaze unfocused. He had been strangely subdued the entire trip. Blue had tried what he could, but his lover seemed to barely be able to muster up a smile. It was troubling, but as worried as he was about the other skeleton there was a much more pressing issue that had to be dealt with first.

Guards filed out of the castle as they approached, forming a line to the giant open doors. Blue stepped out into the sunshine as his carriage door was opened. He straightened his dress, waited for Slim to step out behind him, and walked forward. The guards saluted him as he walked, arms crossed against their chests. Blue barely saw them, his gaze focused straight ahead.

King Asgore Dreemurr glared down at him from his raised throne. Blue kept his face neutral as he walked, his eye lights focused on the giant monster before him. He could hear faint rattling behind him, and without looking he knew Slim was trembling beneath the other’s ruby red gaze. He stopped at the base of the throne, Slim two steps behind him.

“King Asgore.” He greeted, inclining his head.

“King Blue.” Asgore rumbled, his voice like thunder. “I am relieved to see you well, despite recent unfortunate events.”

His mind flashed to his guards, dead on the ground while he was alive and well. His soul skipped a beat and there was a sharp burning in his chest.

“It is most fortunate.” His mouth was dry, throat horse.

“I heard you ordered the pirates to be captured and not killed.” Asgore leaned forward, eyes narrowed. “I find it a most curious decision.”

Red tingled his vision like a veil, but Blue forced his mouth to answer. “It is our way, King Asgore. Their punishment will be decided by our Judge.”

Something shifted in the other king’s eyes. Blue thought it was something like scorn, but it was quickly covered by a mocking type of glee.

“Ah yes, and how are your fathers bastards? I will admit I was quite shocked to learn you had given them such high ranking positions within your own castle.” A wicked grin revealed sharp teeth.

Blue could hear the mocking in the others tone, and it made his voice sharp. “Sans and Papyrus are doing just fine. Now, if you will excuse me, it has been a long journey. I will retire to my quarters for the night.”

“Very well.” He waved a servant over and gestured to the skeletons. “Take King Blue to his quarters, and make sure he is well taken care of.”

The servant bowed to their King, then turned and bowed to Blue. They led the way out of the room, head down and meek. Blue gave one last glance at the other King, and caught the glare he was being given before it dissolved. His heart hardened, and he knew instantly why his parents had always refused to make a pact with this certain kingdom. There was no compromising with a monster like that.

Slim followed behind him as they were lead through countless corridors, all seemingly the exact same as the last. How they knew where they were going was a mystery. The dreary grey walls seemed to stretch on forever. Blue knew he’d get lost in an instant, and was suddenly extremely grateful for their guide.

They came to a halt in front of a grand door, bigger than even Asgore himself. Flowers and vines were carved into the wood, dancing in an intricate pattern. It was one of the most beautiful things Blue had seen in this kingdom, and reminded him so much of home it nearly hurt.

“This is your room, your majesty.” The servant mumbled, head still bowed. “I hope it is to your liking.”

“Thank you.” Blue smiled, and watched as Slim stepped forward to open the door. “I’m afraid I didn’t catch your name earlier. I apologize, that was very rude of me.”

The servant squeaked, their head whipping up at his comment. Their face was flushed red in embarrassment, and it was only then Blue realized he was staring at a ghost monster. They were so rare he had to look twice. The cloak around them made it hard to see, but their body was indeed a pale white, almost translucent.

“My name is Nastablook, your majesty.” They mumbled, eyes once again downcast.

Blue nodded, smiling as he stepped a little closer. “Thank you Nastablook.”

The ghost blushed again, but Blue could see the small smile on their face. “I- if you need anything please just call, your majesty. There has been a hot bath drawn for you already .”

Blue nodded, turning to Slim as he reappeared from investigating the room. “Thank you. I will take my leave for the night Nastablook, so feel free to take the evening for yourself.”

Nastablook gaped at him, then they bowed deeply. “Thank you, your majesty.”

Blue nodded one last time, smiling as he watched the other float down the hallway. Slim huffed beside him, a small smile on his own face. Blue grinned at him, pulling him inside the room and closing the door behind them. Slim laughed, his wheezing chuckle quickly becoming one of Blue’s favorite sounds. He tugged on Slim’s sleeve, a mischievous smile pulling at his teeth as he lead his lover to the bath.

Sans meets his cute human while at the park with frisk. The humans dog just runs up to frisk and that’s how they meet

Blue and papyrus meet theirs at an arcade, maybe they team up for laser tag against some mean people. Instant friends

Red meets his on the street, some ahole insults him and be for he can respond a human stands up for him. the ahole insults they way the human is dressed so red and human team up to verbally destroy this ahole.

Mutt was at the art store when a cute human asked him if he could get them something from the top shelf. They get to talking they show each other their art, and get coffee

Stretch was in line at a book signing. He and the person in line behind him start to talk about the books they like and after they get their books signed they exchange numbers

Black goes to a small bakery/coffee shop to review it for his surprisingly popular food blog. The owner’s adult kid (who runs the shop part time for their parents) is super sweet just like the food. Black knows that they are being genuine from his years in the Guard. The food is great and he soon becomes a regular. He didn’t day dream about what their life together would be like while drinking the coffee they gave him what are you talking about.

Edge runs into his at the pet store. He brought doomfanger so that the cat could pick out its own clothes. The little matchmaker that he is doomfanger jumps of edge and walks along the shelf’s so it can curl up around the neck of this poor human who just wants to get some food for their dog and other pets. Edge begrudgingly becomes friends with the human because if doomfanger likes them there has too be a reason.

Ht sans and papyrus (idk what nicknames to give them) meat them when they spot an angelic human in a clearing in the woods having a picnic with their dog, the human sees them but instead of being scared the human instead invites they to sit and eat. The human follows the law of “if the dog likes a person they are good, never trust a person a dog doesn’t trust” so sense they dog wasn’t scared of these two giants they shouldn’t be either.

The joke is basically that the cute person is the same person for all of them but they don’t realize this for far to long.

Sans

You'll probably first meet at Grillby's.

The usual patrons are there and in you come. Slinking.. Scheming...

The crystal glasses have been calling your name for a week now.

To your surprise, this is a day Grillby is out so a certain skeleton is behind the counter.

You sidle up to the bar and order some food, intent on getting Sans away from the glassware. Once he's gone you're in action.

With deft fingers, you are reaching over the counter and grabbing as many glasses as you think you can get away with.

Once your inventory is good and full, you settle back into your spot.

You don't realize you've been caught until an empty glass is put in front of you.

"you've been a little mousy you're whole life?"

"I like to think I'm pretty outgoing actually."

That gets a laugh out of the skeleton. "i'm afraid i'll need those glasses back."

You decide to hand him a pair of glasses you "borrowed" from a frog Monster you met in Waterfall.

This goes on all night. After a certain point, you decide to give up the ghost and hand the absurd number of glasses back over to Sans. He even promised to not rat you out to Grillby.

Papyrus

You were walking through Waterfall when you saw Papyrus walking along a lower level just under you.

He was carrying a comical stack of Tupperware containers full of something. It was simple curiosity! He wouldn't even miss it!

You succeeded at snatching a Tupperware and cracked it open. The acrid smell of pure evil is the only thing that graces your nostrils.

Deciding you have no desire to hold onto whatever science experiment the skeleton had made, you hopped down and chased after him.

You came up with a quick excuse that he dropped the item and you were just innocently returning it.

Papyrus' sockets shine as he drops the armload of "food". You get thanked so profusely you almost thought you did something honorable, not stole food.

You get questioned about your culinary inclinations while he picks all the containers back up. Many of them busted open when dropped, though the skeleton doesn't seem to care.

You didn't realize that you started following him while talking and after some time you arrived to his front door.

You tried to bid him farewell before you were all but begged to come in and cook with him. It is free entry into his house.

Who knows what goodies you might be able to snag.

Red

You've heard about the funny skeleton that sometimes performs at MTT resort and decided to check it out.

You were in the area, there was an interesting list of comics on the roster, and the audience looked like types to have a lot of interesting things on them. What reason did you have not to go?

Many of the performers were fine. A few of them were so dull you had no way to sneak about without being caught.

Red was the closer, and by then your pockets were starting to feel well and full.

You, of course, continued on your mission; stifling giggles and laughs as best you could.

Red's set was nearly over by the time you felt satisfied. Oddly enough, when you fully tuned back in you notice something strange. He was making a few too many rodent-themed jokes than one might expect.

It was only after the second or third time he glanced directly into your beady eyes that you realized he absolutely knew what you were doing.

You tried to slip out of the dining room unnoticed but a certain toothy grin at the front doors stopped you.

"got caught with your hand in the mouse trap there buddy"

You had very few options other than running or offering a bribe. you went with a bribe.

Red, surprisingly, accepts and even offers a little deal. You join up with him during his sets. He tells jokes so good no one will notice a certain mousey's fingers in their pockets. Split the loot after.

You didn't have many options to counteroffer, but even then you didn't particularly want to.

Edge

You were caught pocketing some cinnamon bunnies and got the guard called on you. Naturally, you were well practiced in avoiding the guard.

You tried to spend as little time as possible in Snowdin until everything cooled off some. What you didn't realize is that the up-and-coming royal guardsman was not one to give up so quickly.

Once you decided enough time had passed, you made your appearance back into the thrall of the small town. It was only after you picked up some whispers behind you that you realized you perhaps haven't been away as long as you should've been.

What ensued was chaos. Once you realized that yes, people definitely recognized you and had called for the guard, you were booking it out of there.

A few members of the dog pack put up a chase for a while, but none of them cared for petty theft. The only one who decided to pursue you into the forest for the better part of an hour was the new skeleton recruit, Edge.

The chase only ended after you both found yourselves stuck on a large frozen lake, unable to get your feet underneath you. After hitting an impasse, you try one last boon.

You offer to pay for everything you stole and then some. Edge didn't believe you were good for it, but you were no stranger to "borrowing" a good amount of G.

While slipping and sliding past each other, Edge pulled out a long itemized list of everything you have stolen. It took a good few minutes to read through your bill but you did manage to have enough money on you to pay the shopkeep back.

After that, you were watched like a hawk by Edge personally whenever he saw you out about town. It didn't take long to realize you could intentionally run him around if you stole something in his line of sight.

Blue

Blue was one of the only people who bothered to regularly set puzzles and traps that were more interesting than piles of snow.

That also meant you could get a bunch of neat junk if you went around to dig out the parts.

You became his shadow. He'd set up a puzzle, you'd slip in and take a few parts. It certainly didn't help that Blue was incredibly amusing to watch once he saw your handiwork.

He even tried to stake you out a few times, though it never worked.

There was only once that Blue caught you.

You were out somewhere else and he put his plan in action.

You came back to your usual spot to scope out how you were going to sneak past the puzzle part of the puzzle. You didn't even think that the course looked suspicious.

It was a switch-flipping style puzzle. Certain switches move different snow poffs and you had to pick the right combination to get through. Easy.

It was only as you solved the puzzle and the floor gave out under you that you realized you made a mistake.

You got pulled out of the snow that fell on top of you none other than Blue himself.

You weren't able to do much more than laugh and deny. Deny! DENY!

It didn't work of course, though Blue did ask to keep you around.

Something about making the puzzles so hard a human wouldn't even be able to pass them?

Stretch

Stretch was trying to do a simple run to the craft store to get some fabric. His brother wanted a new workout set and refused to just buy one.

You were also there. You were in the bead aisle hamfisting those suckers into your pockets. Stretch could only imagine would you have already stashed away in your inventory.

It was a slow day and he had time for a little prank.

Everywhere you went, the skeleton followed. Everything you put on your person, the skeleton subtly magicked right back out.

It took you a while to notice, but once you did the game changed. It became a combination of making sure you didn't catch him putting your ill-gotten gains back and not being caught himself.

This went on for a while.

You started to get smart. You tried to shake your mysterious pursuer by taking random turns and power-walking down each aisle as quick as you could.

After a time, you also realized your pockets never got heavier. You decided you absolutely had more time to waste and got to plotting.

You started picking up items you didn't even want. Scrap fabric and strange decor items were shoved places you thought you would know if they were tampered with.

It didn't work. The standoff, so to speak, lasted two hours and you didn't catch your shadower once.

You decided to give up. You grab a couple small items and go up to the store clerk to check out. It's the least you could do after being a terror in their store for the past few hours.

It's only after you are well on your way out the door do you feel something. Your bag got slightly heavier. You stop to dig around in it and notice a pack of pencils you didn't steal and definitely didn't buy.

As you look it over you notice it has a little note drawn on the package: "that was fun. quit trying to steal things. see you around."

Cash

Anyone with a working brain would know not to mess with the skeleton brothers. Most of all you would never want to gamble against the taller one.

You never took their advice. Cash was fine entertainment from afar, but at the table was where the real fun started.

You didn't do it often, but every once in a while you'd find your way to Grillby's Bar & Grill after hours. There was where you'd find the good loot.

With your pockets full and inventory fuller, you found a seat at the round table where the fire elemental was dealing the first round of poker.

You got your wares appraised earlier, so your starting chips were already piled high before you.

The real joy of the table was watching people lose. They almost always came with an air of unearned confidence that made the fall that much sweeter to watch.

They always lost and were always sore losers.

That night, there were only a few real players. Cash was there, like most nights. Dogaressa and Dogamy were there, though Dogamy was only good for moral support. A few of the bar's regulars were at the table as well. The rest of the seats were filled by desperate newbies.

As soon as the table was full, the game started. It continued as you expected. Most of the newbies were overconfident and lost all their G near immediately. Dogamy backed out. The regulars all slowly backed out after losing what little money they offered in the first place.

What was surprising was how long you made it. The only people left at the table were you, Cash, and Dogaressa. You weren't playing for money and you certainly weren't playing to win.

You just wanted some easy entertainment to watch some full adult Monsters throw a few tantrums. It's not like the money you brought to the table came from a personal fund.

It didn't take long before the sore losers all left, so your interest was waning.

It wasn't until you noticed Cash do a weird little hand motion that you recognized quite well. He was pocketing cards. If he's not above cheating why should you be?

In the end, Cash won the lot. You didn't expect to win, nor did you care to cheat enough so that you would've. If anything, that would've been suspicious.

You knew that Cash realized your play and that made the night all the more interesting. Once he knew you were cheating, it became a joint effort to do as much as possible without being fought by Grillby or Dogaressa and miraculously you both pulled it off.

Or, you both pulled it off long enough to get out the door snickering to each other, G in hand.

S/o having nightmare

Wine: He’s the type to try and distract you so you can calm down. Wine tries to wake you up gently and leaves soft touches against you to not startle.

“Dear it’s alright, I’m right here and those pesky thoughts are nothing but a figment. Look out the window. What do you see?”

Wine keeps you distracted as long as you need, even if the sun bleeds into the sky he’ll still be up with you.

Rus: He’s such a light sleeper he may catch you before a nightmare fully starts if you move around. He suffers from nightmares on a consistent basis as well, so he doesn’t freak out when you’re in distress. He’ll try rocking you in your sleep so you can relax, but if you do wake up he’s right there if you wanna talk about it. If you can’t fall back asleep you two are just going to do whatever till the other falls asleep.

Boss: He’s so mean about it for no reason, Boss would strait up smack you with a pillow mid-sleep and tell you to shut up. You have to tell him you had a nightmare and he’ll feel like an ass for a second before holding your face close to his and telling you you’re safe with him, and that your ass needs to get back to sleep because he wakes up too early for this. After the first time that happens he stocks the cabinets full of herbal tea to help, but still denies it was for you in the first place.

Blue: His intuition is scarily good so he straight up looks at you before you go to sleep sometimes and tells you you’re gonna have a nightmare. At first you thought it was a joke but he’s right every time and ngl it gets to a point where if your nightmares are constant they don’t have the same kick because you know they’re coming. Turns out Blue did the same thing to Stretch when they were kids and it worked out pretty well.
