one thing i really like on tumblr right now as a vtuber is that i’m not stressing over follower counts because i literally cannot see it unless i click on my blog. it also just feels like more of a community here and we’re all next door to each other. overall, even if people change their minds about staying on tumblr i think i’m here in the long run!

A Lil Squabble with Chris

Chris had invited me to his house for a sleepover since I’d been lonely in my new apartment. At first, everything was chill. I forced Chris to watch girly movies like Mean Girls and 10 Things I Hate About You, and he seemed pretty into them. But about 15 minutes into the second movie, his friends called their group chat, asking him to hop on Fortnite. Of course, Chris had to cave and decided to play what felt like an infinite amount of rounds with them. As he sat in his gaming chair pulled up against his desk, one hand on the mouse, another on the keyboard. Enraging thoughts stormed through my mind. Why is it that whenever I come over, his attention is on his friends and that stupid game but not me? His girlfriend. I finally give in to my thoughts and shout, “Chris!” not caring if his friends heard me. He quickly slips his headset off of one ear and turns his head to look at me, “What is it, baby?” he asks, a little concerned in my tone. “Have you forgotten about me? You’ve been playing whatever the hell that game is called for the past 2 hours!” his friends immediately get loud, and the sound bleeds through his headset. “OO, CHRIS IS IN TROUBLE!” “Chris, pay attention to your girlfriend,” “Praying for you, bro,” Chris tries to contain his laugh due to his friend's stupid comments, and it’s clear as he attempts to defend himself, “Why are you yelling? Can’t I have fun with my boys?” “Yes, but not when you have a fucking girl in your room like at least pay attention to me! Or did you invite me over only to forget about me and play those childish games with your friends? And can you fucking mute yourself? Your friends don’t need to be in our business 24/7.” Chris immediately mutes himself and puts his headset aside, “Chill out a bit. There are other ways to communicate. Gosh, and why the fuck do you have to yell all the time.” “Chris, because I’m so motherfucking tired of you always inviting me over and then ignoring me! Tonight’s not the first time this has happened!” “Okay, okay, I’m sorry!” He puts his hands up like he's surrendering. I look at him blandly as he apologizes, “Are you though?”Yes! Geez, what else do you want me to say?” He raises his voice in an attitude. I shake my head and get up from his bed. I grab my bag and slip my sandals on as I rush out of his bedroom door. Without a thought gets up from his gaming chair and rushes after me grabbing my arm, “Where the fuck do you think you’re going?” I turn around, “I’m going home!” “No, you’re not! I said I was sorry!” he grabs my face, forcing me to look at him, “Are you though? Or are you just apologizing so we can go back to your room so you can continue video gaming with your obnoxious ass friends!” He looks at me in shock after I called his friends obnoxious but decides to brush it off so we can get past this. “Look, I’m sorry and didn’t think it through. I should’ve told them that I was busy. I won’t do it ever again. I love you so much. I never want to make you feel like I’m ignoring you.” He brushes a strand of hair behind my ear. “I’m sorry too,” I look down, a little embarrassed about his friends hearing me speak to him like that earlier. Chris kisses my forehead before pulling away, “How about we make some popcorn and continue watching that movie? What’s it called again?”
