YouTube appears to be removing content featuring or even merely reviewing the movie ‘Sound Of Freedom’ for ‘violating community guidelines’ as censorship of the anti-child trafficking movie continues.
Former Navy SEAL and CIA Contractor Shawn Ryan posted screenshots of the backend of his YouTube account, showing that a 2 and a half minute preview video of an upcoming interview with the film’s star Jim Caviezel has been removed.
YouTube has also declared the content titled ‘Actor Jim Caviezel Unveils Dark Truths Behind The Trafficking Of Children’ as ‘Ineligible’ for monetization.

yo just quick update saying my youtube channel is FINALLY back to normal... I was right about being stuck on the 90 day punishment for ‘invalid traffic’ which I still don’t know what or how that was happening and how I was suppose to mitigate that when that should be google’s job to spot what is a bot and what’s not or if someone despised my channel enough to pay for fake views knowing it would cause this (yes that is something someone can do and youtube will just fault the creator for it.... gotta love the internet!) so yea FUCK whatever that was all about and FUCK youtube creator support for literally not helping at all and just copying and pasting guidelines I know already! good news is we back in business, monetization / visible video chapters and all. that’s why I’ve been streaming again albeit a bumpy start with N64 / Saturn emulation but I’ll get the groove back. this also means I’ll get back working on some overdue vidmixes but first gonna focus on Saturn stuff for rest of the month. thanks again to those that kept supporting on my patreon while I had a 90% cut on my usual youtube revenue, really means a lot. I’ll make it up to you all for sure with my next CD batches TBA 👍

Things I don't like about Nintendo:
Making games impossible to play again (Vimm's Lair getting raided by a bunch of companies including Nintendo, online stores getting shut down by Nintendo, more than one subscription required for some NSO Virtual Consoles like Genesis, N64, and GBA, lack of regional translations and ports, etc.)
Taking down fan creations (fan games, mods, music remixes, gameplay videos, etc.)
Putting limits on the monetization of tournaments featuring their games (https://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/63433/~/community-tournament-guidelines)
Shutting down online services for consoles that are still very popular and used frequently (3DS getting shut down recently.)
The Switch and a few of the more recent games on it being not that great (Pokemon especially, I'm pretty sure the Wii ran better and it's almost 17 years old.)
Now I know that Nintendo isn't the only one that does this. Microsoft, Sega, and Sony aren't that great with their older games (though some of those are better than others), but Nintendo is much worse and much more strict. Sega doesn't even make consoles anymore, and modding isn't as popular on PlayStation and Xbox platforms due to it being tricky, but their games that are on PC have had plenty of mods, and the companies have no issue with them. I've heard the Xbox Series X/S isn't too good, same with the PS5, though I haven't noticed whenever I used my friend's consoles, and I have an Xbox 1 and PS4. The consoles are also definitely better than their previous gens, which is hard to say with the Switch (hot take, I prefer the Wii U 💀).

Did you know that Adel Aka’s channel got nuked? Literally every video, livestream, playlist, and community tab post he uploaded is gone. I’m not sure if he deleted them himself due to monetization problems, or if YouTube hit him with some sort of community guideline/copyright strike, but I don’t exactly feel sympathetic for him considering that he made jokes about Clover r*ping Ruby, or that he made a twitter post saying that he would’ve used Winter as a “breeding slave” if she was a real person
I'd need to pay attention to edgy youtube scumbags for that, and I don't even pay regular attention to the tumblr ones.

Community Filters and Community Guidelines
NO, TUMBLR HAS NOT BROUGHT BACK SMUT OR PORN.
The Community Guidelines still state:
Adult Content. Don't upload images, videos, or GIFs that show real-life human genitals or female-presenting nipples —this includes content that is so photorealistic that it could be mistaken for featuring real-life humans (nice try, though). Certain types of artistic, educational, newsworthy, or political content featuring nudity are fine. Don’t upload any content, including images, videos, GIFs, or illustrations, that depicts sex acts.
The "Mature Content" Community label DOES NOT CIRCUMVENT THESE RULES. They explicitly state that your "Mature Content" with "Sexual themes" must still conform to the Community Guidelines.
I have no fucking idea what kind of artistic/visual content one could create with "Sexual themes" that doesn't violate Tumblr's strict rules, though.
Written smut is and has always been fine. In their examples, they suggest using the Sexual themes filter specifically for a smutty fanfic.
OTHER NOTES:
You cannot monetize posts that are tagged with a Community label.

【Exhibtion】 A Day of Cafés and Exhibitions 【Vlog】
Hello, this is Hikaru. Thank you for watching! This time, I am sharing a vlog about a day I spent with KEIKO-san who is also a former member of the same vocal group I belonged to🍀 ▼ Click here for KEIKO-san's Official YouTube Channel https://www.youtube.com/@KEIKOOfficialYouTubeChannel
Even if it's a rather uneventful video, I would be happy if you could enjoy it just a little♪
※This video is not monetized. I am using footage from the exhibition for personal use in accordance with the guidelines.
If you are interested, please come and visit 🪄 ◆ “Disney Animation Immersive Experience”
Awww, it's so cute to hear Keiko whisper and laugh on the side even though we don't see her for most of the video. For anyone who is interested, they had coffee at Antico Caffé (Roppongi Hills). There's a little Q&A corner with Hikaru. Favourite hiragana? Her favourite hiragana are the cute looking ones like "no" and "a" because they have a round shape. What are her conversations about? Most of her conversations are just idle talk and updates on recent events. Keiko asks about their conversations together. Hikaru says that recently they have been seeing each other a lot (at least it seems like a lot to Hikaru), not like every week but whenever their schedules allow it. They have mostly been talking about things that happened at work and random private stuff, general girl topics. Hikaru mostly enjoys listening to other people talk. Reason that has kept her motivated to continue singing? Singing is her way of communication so it's very important to her. If she were to give someone a piece of clothing as present, what would it be? Hikaru feels pressured to answer this since she has such a fashionable person sitting next to her. She thinks it's best to go shopping together and let the other person pick something they like. If you know that person has a favourite brand or style, you could probably find something yourself but it's probably better to go together. Is there anything Anything she can to do now as solo artist which she wasn't allowed to do before? She can do social media now which is something they weren't really able to do before. If you were reborn, what kind of person would you want to be and which world would you like to be born into? She would like to live in a world full of magic, she wants to use magic and do stuff that she can't do in her current life. She would love to have some sort of healing power. Recent daily routine? Wake up, drink water, take supplements, brush teeth, wash face, do make-up, change into an outfit, go to the studio to sing, when she is at home she works on her iPad, edit videos, she doesn't really eat breakfast but she eats whenever her family decides to eat (she still lives with her family). Does she go to karaoke by herself? Yes, she does but not that often. But she prefers to sing at the studio.

Minecraft's New Usage Guidelines Are Extremely Stupid And Dangerous, And Here's Why
Hello everyone, and welcome to a section by section breakdown of Minecraft's new usage guidelines. I do not have an education related to law or legal terminology, but I know enough to know that these usage guidelines are stupid, and downright dangerous when you get down to it.
Let's get started, shall we?
(Long post under cut)
Purpose
Tumblr media
This section does not have many issues on its own, I'm mostly providing it for context. But, I do think that it is ridiculous that they count 'any names which are confusingly similar to our name' as part of 'their name'.
And pay attention to the assets section. That'll be important later.
Target Audience
Tumblr media
So. I don't think banning non profits from hosting events to raise awareness using your game as a medium is a great idea. Everything else I can get, but the non profit clause strikes me as weird.
Also, this would likely apply to projects like The Uncensored Library, a project created as a collaboration between Blockworks and Reporters Without Borders. Anti-censorship is an 'agenda unrelated to Minecraft', and both of the organizations involved would fall under the groups they say cannot use Minecraft to promote an agenda.
While I understand that Minecraft likely wouldn't go after The Uncensored Library, it is discomfiting that this section appears to say that Minecraft cannot be used as a platform to promote awareness and change, at least by non-individuals.
Legal Agreements
Tumblr media
It's good that these guidelines do not form part of the legal policies. However, I do not like the last sentence, as it implies that if they decide it is not a 'good idea' they will not 'allow leniency with respect to how you use Minecraft.'
Subject To Change
Tumblr media
While it is common practice to have the guidelines be subject to change, most services will inform you when they change. Minecraft does not appear to be planning to do that. Also, it is unbelievably tone deaf for them to count any part of this document as having 'good intentions' with what we'll get into later.
All Uses
Tumblr media
"If we don't like what you are doing." That is quite possibly the most concerning sentence in this entire document. That leaves them so much room to get rid of anything that they 'don't like'. What if they decide they don't like The Uncensored Library? Or if they dislike a particular content creator, so they revoke their ability to monetize content based in the game? It is also a ridiculously unprofessional statement.
Also, "feel free to make requests"? This is just asking for people to attempt to put hateful guidelines in this document. As we'll discuss later, some of the guidelines already provide a platform for hate.
Essential Guidelines
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is just a summary, but I'll use it to talk about some of the issues.
"Do not be obscene." This applies even if you are on a private server, as far as I can tell. Policing what users do on private servers is again, ridiculous. If they are on a private server and using swear words or making obscene builds, they have in fact consented to see that content. You should not censor what users are doing privately.
They don't want you to include gambling or violence. What does this mean for PVP? For chance based games on servers? This cannot end well.
The disclaimer. I get that they are trying to cover their legal bases, but I honestly think that this is stupid. The people that use it aren't the ones who Mojang are worried about, and the people that won't use it, won't use it.
I'll talk more about the other issues in the sections specific to them, but trust me, it gets worse.
"We are trying to be open, honest, and most importantly, trusting."
I don't feel very trusted right now, what with the insane restrictions, Mojang/Microsoft.
Naming Guidelines
Tumblr media
Great to know that no one can name their videos things like "Minecraft- How to find netherite" anymore.
Also, "don't use any other aspects of any of our brand or assets as part of any related branding, including as a logo or part of a logo."
So, no one can use any Minecraft assets in their channel icons, anymore. Remember how the assets include stuff like all the blocks? Heck, they would probably count DanTDM's old logo as disallowed under this policy.
Also, it's again, horribly unprofessional to use "(we're cool with this)" and "(we're not cool with this)"
This is supposed to be a guideline for how to use their brand, assets, and name in an 'acceptable' way. They tell you to contact a lawyer if you're unsure about what the guidelines mean. I'm pretty sure most lawyers would laugh their ass off at the wording in this.
Personal Use
Tumblr media
That's not what commercial means. For something to be commercial, it quite literally has to have the intent of making money.
So if someone has a Tumblr blog, devoted to talking about Minecraft, that they do not make money off or intend to make money off, is counted as a 'commercial thing'. Again, very unprofessional wording there.
So, let's take a look at those commercial guidelines.
Commercial Use
Tumblr media
The commercial use section has multiple subheadings, and as such we'll go over them one at a time, starting with the first section.
Again, commercial does not mean any content that you publicly share. Commercial means something created and shared with the purpose of making money. Content shared for free, with no intention of making money, does not qualify as commercial use.
But they are counting it as such.
Let's start in on these guidelines.
In General & Domain Names And Websites
Tumblr media
(I combined these two because the first is so short.)
In General just says not to break any laws, which is totally fine.
Now, let's look at that domain name stuff.
"Your website only relates to the Minecraft game." So, if I mention a third party game at all, even in passing, I'm in violation of this. Cool.
"Any third party advertising does not harm our brand." You haven't defined what that means. Also, what the heck is someone meant to do if they run the website through a service that puts ads on websites run through it? Or, if they post a video related to Minecraft, that advertises for a third party brand that you would consider 'harmful to our brand'? Is it on the website owner to make sure that every little thing they post perfectly aligns with what you consider acceptable for the brand?
Constructed Promotions
Tumblr media
Oh, so individuals aren't allowed to promote charitable causes either, I guess. Or events.
Unless, of course, they gain written approval from Mojang or Microsoft.
Just think about that. You'd need written approval to build something referencing a specific charity, and post it on Reddit. You'd need written approval to make a skin that had the Make A Wish logo. You'd need written approval to build a Minecraft version of Tesco on stream.
Oh, and let's not forget, you would need written approval to post a build of anything from a movie, TV show, or video game.
Because they define anything shared publicly as being under commercial use, that means that you can't build and post a pixel art of your favorite anime character. That's not allowed. You need written approval.
You can't build the Upside Down from Stranger Things, and post it to Youtube. That's not allowed. You need written approval.
You can't build a tribute to Peewee Herman, whose actor Paul Reubens recently died, and post it here on Tumblr. That's not allowed. You need written approval.
This may be the stupidest part of these whole guidelines.
Videos, Streams, and Screenshots
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Are they seriously saying that you're not allowed to monetize content that doesn't have voice over? As fireb0rn said in his video on this subject, "What about speedruns?"
The first few viral Minecraft videos didn't have commentary. And they want to make it so you can't monetize the type of videos that built this community.
Also, apparently you're not allowed to charge money for Minecraft events using big screens to showcase gameplay, or anything displaying gameplay in public. Neat. What about conventions? (Oh don't worry, we'll talk about conventions later.)
"Sponsors and any callouts must be suitable for children and minors." There are multiple groups in the US, where Minecraft and Microsoft are based, that think that transgender people's existence isn't suitable for children. Hell, there are people who think that gay people's existence isn't suitable for children. This rule could be used to push queer content creators out of the game very, very easily.
Even discounting that, can a streamer take a sponsorship for a first person shooter game? Remember, they don't want you to include 'violence' in anything relating to their brand. Can a Youtuber take a sponsorship for a self-help product? Would that count as unsuitable for children, because it discusses mental health? Where is the line?
It seems like they're going to go after anyone who's put Minecraft content on subscription services. So, people like Aphmau may be in trouble. Twitch creators who put content about Minecraft behind a subscription will be in trouble. This honestly feels like a great way to drive away some of the most popular creators currently involved in the Minecraft community, but I guess Microsoft hasn't been thinking about that.
Live In-Game Events
Tumblr media
So, how are y'all planning to shut down live events taking place on private servers, that are being streamed? Is it terminating people's accounts? I have a feeling it's terminating people's accounts.
Also, great to know that all the constructed promotions bullshit applies here, too.
In-Person Events
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Oh boy, this one is a doozie.
Let's start with the fact that they are functionally banning conventions, unless of course you have an official partnership with Microsoft.
Heads-up, banning conventions will not help grow the community, Microsoft. It'll do the opposite.
Also, these guidelines are...interesting.
The 150 people limit means that a standard elementary school couldn't host an all grades (Ages 6 through 12) party themed around Minecraft, without entering into an official partnership with Microsoft. You see why that's insane, right?
And again, you can't use any assets on marketing materials. That includes all blocks and mobs.
This is insane. They say that this is to keep community gatherings from 'becoming commercialized'.
It seems likelier to me that this is to make sure that if an event is going to be 'commercialized', to turn a profit, a significant amount of that profit will go directly to Microsoft, through their partnership program. That's why they're requiring it. Not out of some 'good of their hearts' instinct to protect the community from big, bad advertisers.
Music and Audio
Tumblr media
Yeah, pretty sure this means you can only use royalty free music. Which is fine, but I have one question:
Does this apply to note blocks?
Would I not be allowed to create note block songs, unless I obtained proper copyright permission.
I know that under copyright law, I would be allowed to under fair use, as it's transformative, but-
Does Microsoft agree?
Servers and Hosting
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Great, there goes half of the popular servers.
Because loot boxes count as gambling.
Say bye to any server that uses them.
Seriously, what does the violence rule mean? Is PVP allowed or not?
How is someone supposed to make sure pirated accounts don't access their server?
I'm pretty sure that under these rules, you're not allowed to run subscription tiers on your servers, as that would qualify as 'charging different amounts'. And I know that some popular servers do that.
And you're not allowed to have "Explicit lyrics, or other unsafe/mature content." Basically, everything has to be perfectly child friendly. And we've already discussed why I don't like that.
And what the hell do they mean by "unsafe/mature content."? What counts as 'mature'? Does saying 'hell' count? Does mentioning depression? Does saying that you're gay? Is it anything that the strictest parent would object to? I know teenagers who aren't allowed to watch a video that even mildly references anything mildly objectionable. Like references to partying. These guidelines need better definitions, if they want anyone to take it seriously.
"In short, don't do evil things to players and you'll be fine." This is wildly unprofessional and vague.
Extended Functionality and Modifications
Tumblr media
Mmm.
So, if I use part of their mob AI code in my mod, to make it a bit easier to code my own original mob, does that violate this? What do they count as substantial?
Also, they can just decide that something 'doesn't count as a mod' and take it offline or sue the creator.
And while this is overall reasonable (I don't want people locking skins behind NFTs either!), I don't think that restricting modding is the solution they need here. I especially don't think that they should have the authority to say what is a mod and what isn't.
Books and Other Publications
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Again with not using any 'assets' anywhere. Seriously, this is unreasonable. That includes every block and mob.
And of course, you're not allowed to use the word Minecraft unless it's a 'secondary title'. And it can't be in the official font. Yay.
Oh, and you must include 'enough of your own unique content'. What does that mean? Their examples leave something to be desired. Does a book explaining Redstone count as 'unique content'? Oh, and would this apply to fan-run magazines? I don't know if we currently have any going, but I want to know.
"(we're not cool with that)" great to know that I'm no longer allowed to sell any merch using your assets.
Well, any printed merch.
Oh wait.
Hand-Crafted Products
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Great to know that we're not allowed to sell anything using any of the assets, unless it's subtle. Lovely that all of those great stickers of stylized diamond blocks aren't allowed anymore.
Oh, and we can't sell remixes of Minecraft sounds or music now. Or monetize it at all, in all likelihood.
Oh and let's not forget.
You're not allowed to sell more than twenty pieces of merch of any specific design.
What the fuck.
Seriously? They're restricting how much of your own damn product you can sell?
You can't make more than 5000$ off it, either.
This is going to ruin lives.
That is not hyperbole.
There are vendors who make the majority of their money off of Minecraft related merch and designs. This is going to cause so many problems on the convention scene, not even bringing into account the aforementioned ruining lives.
In Summary
Tumblr media
This will be my summary, as well.
These guidelines do not help me understand what you do and do not want people to do.
They are overly vague in some sections, and overly restrictive in others.
These guidelines are pushing to make anything even remotely related to Minecraft entirely child friendly.
These guidelines are ripe for abuse.
Some people don't consider trans people 'child friendly'. Some people don't consider opposing views 'child friendly'.
You are taking away people's livelihoods.
And for what?
To try to prevent the game from being commercialized?
Newsflash, you're the top-selling game world wide.
You're already commercialized.
These guidelines are idiotic, and actively hinder the community that has been built around Minecraft.
If you don't backtrack, and quick, you are going to lose content creators.
You are going to lose players.
You are going to lose the community.
To my fellow players, spread this.
Make sure that Microsoft knows that we won't stand for this.
We cannot let them set a precedent of companies policing what type of content is made about their game, down to how much merch you can sell.
Down to if you can swear or not.
Down to making sure that you, as a person, player, consumer, are completely and perfectly child-friendly.
This is censorship, clear and simple.
Feel free to add to this post, and correct me if I got anything wrong here.
But most of all,
Feel free to tell Microsoft, Mojang, Minecraft
That We Will Not Be Censored
That
Minecraft Players Will Not Be Censored

How TikTok Shop ads turned an obscure, inaccurate book into a bestseller
If you’ve spent enough time scrolling through TikTok, you might have seen a video from an account like @tybuggyreviews, a handle with half a million followers that exclusively posts videos selling products through the TikTok Shop.
The creator, whose verified Instagram account identifies him as Tarik Garrett, used the @tybuggyreviews account to pitch viewers on supplements, water flossers, earbuds, workout machines, bible study guides, probiotics for women to help “that smell down there,” watch bands, inspirational hoodies, inspirational T-shirts, face massagers, foot massagers, rhinestone necklaces, oil pulling kits, and colon cleanses.
In the TikTok Shop, creators earn a commission for each sale linked to their account. Garrett’s product videos got tens of thousands of views. A few even topped a million views. But nothing from his account took off quite like his sales pitch for an obscure 2019 publication called The Lost Book of Herbal Remedies.
“Now I see why they’re trying to remove TikTok. This book right here? This book of herbal remedies? They do not want us to see this book,” Garrett said at the beginning of one Shop video, referring to a new US law that requires TikTok’s Chinese parent company to either sell the app or face a ban. TikTok is challenging the law in court, arguing that lawmakers citing national security concerns as a reason to pass the bill did not adequately argue why those concerns should supersede the First Amendment. The law, to be clear, does not cite the Lost Book of Herbal Remedies’s availability on the TikTok Shop as a reason for banning the platform.
Garrett posted his pitch for the book on April 15. As of May 7, the video had more than 16 million views. Garrett opened the book and showed pages of its recommendations, urging users to take screenshots (and purchase a copy of their own) before it’s too late.
The camera lingered on a list of plants that, the book claimed, were treatments for cancer, drug addiction, heart attacks, and herpes. As of Wednesday, the listing for The Lost Book of Herbal Remedies that Garrett linked to has more than 60,000 sales on the TikTok Shop. To put that number in perspective, appearing on a bestseller list generally requires 5,000–10,000 sales in a week.
And that interest isn’t staying exclusively on TikTok. Google search interest in the book’s title spiked on the same day Garrett posted his video. The Lost Book of Herbal Remedies was, as of Wednesday, May 8, ranked 10 on Amazon’s bestseller list for books, and has appeared toward the top of Amazon’s bestseller rankings for the past three weeks.
A spokesperson for TikTok said that videos linking to Shop products must abide by both the community guidelines, which ban medical misinformation, and Shop policies, which do not allow misleading content. If a video violates only the Shop policies, they said, they’ll simply remove the link to the Shop but keep the content up. If it violates community guidelines, the video comes down.
The violations were enough for TikTok to remove his product review account. Garrett did not respond to a series of emailed questions.
How e-commerce took over TikTok
TikTok has long been good at guessing what its users might want to see, but less good at monetizing that trick. When the platform launched its Shop feature in the United States last fall, the For You page shifted, pushing video after video like those made by @tybuggyreviews in the hope that its users will start buying the products that go viral on TikTok directly from their store.
The result became a For You page with constant interruptions from random product pitches. The Shop ads, like much of the content pushed on TikTok, are personalized, though TikTok Shop recommendations are heavily influenced by reporting on stories like this one. Your results may differ. And yet, it is clear that TikTok has catapulted the Remedies book into relevance beyond a niche audience. The company earns money off of the explosion of sales on the shop, some of which come from creators who are explicitly promoting unproven cancer “cures” and conspiracy theories about the platform.
Like the Shadow Work Journal, a workbook that went super viral on TikTok Shop several months ago as a mental health tool — despite its dubious effectiveness — The Lost Book of Herbal Remedies is part of a swell of wellness creators, brands, and products that have found success reaching new audiences on TikTok Shop.
Shop videos have become a sort of “loophole” for health misinformation on TikTok, said Evan Thornburg, a bioethicist who posts on TikTok as @gaygtownbae and studies mis/disinformation and public health. Creators, and those with something to sell, know that Shop videos will get privileged on For You pages. Some creators may use those videos to promote dangerous health claims. In other cases, Thornburg noted, “the creator promoting the material isn’t necessarily spouting off disinformation, but the material that they’re convincing people to purchase is.”
A recipe for misinformation
The Lost Book of Herbal Remedies appears to be a case of both: The book contains misleading information, and creators are circulating misleading health claims in order to sell books. A video with nearly 1 million views promoting the book’s TikTok Shop listing is basically a series of ominous, AI-generated images with an AI voiceover. The video claims that the book contains secrets previously locked away in an ancient book located in the “Vatican library,” and that The Lost Book of Herbal Medicine was previously only available on the “dark web” before surfacing on TikTok. (Not true: The book is for sale on Amazon, the author’s website, and appears to be available through some academic and public library systems.) Another Shop video with more than 1 million views is captioned, “Cure for over 550 diseases, even cancer.”
I scanned through a copy of The Lost Book of Herbal Remedies this week. The 300-page book contains a disclaimer noting that it’s intended to “provide information about natural medicine, cures, and remedies that people have used in the past,” that it is not medical advice, and that some of the “remedies and cures found within do not comply with FDA guidelines.” It’s split into two parts: an alphabetical listing of ailments and conditions alongside the plants that the authors believe can cure or treat them, and an alphabetical list of plants, sorted by region, with instructions on how to prepare them.
The list of ailments the book includes proposed treatments for cancer, several STDs, mental health disorders, and digestive issues, among many other things. A few stand out: The book lists cures for smallpox, strep, and staph infections. There’s an emergency medicine section that includes plant remedies for serious medical conditions like internal bleeding and poisoning.
Flip to the entries for the plants and you’ll find lists of claims referring to research that is not cited. An entry promoting Ashwagandha’s “anti tumor effects” and ability to “kill ... cancerous cells” refers to “research,” but does not note that, while there is some indication that Ashwagandha can slow the growth of cancer cells, these studies were conducted on rodents and have yet to be replicated on humans.
Nicole Apelian, one of the book’s authors, while active on TikTok, it’s not her main social media presence. Her TikTok bio encourages her 17,000 followers there to check her out on Instagram, where she has 100,000 followers. Apelain also runs Nicole’s Apothecary, an herbal shop mentioned in the book that sells some of the tinctures she recommends, sells memberships to an online “Academy” for fans of her book, and advertises her paid appearances and workshops.
The endless whack-a-mole
As a journalist, there’s a pattern that becomes evident when writing about health misinformation on social media: something gets views, you assess the real or potential harm and try to understand its context, you contact the company to ask about the harmful thing. Maybe the video or post or group is taken down, maybe it’s not. The company gives you a statement, refers you to their policies on misinformation, and then you publish the article. This happens over and over because writing about misleading health information is a game of whack-a-mole that feels harder and harder to win.
Thornburg, the bioethicist, noted a couple reasons why we can’t climb out of this purgatory. First, meaningful moderation of a platform like TikTok is somewhat implausible. Social media companies are “never going to prioritize the amount of labor that would need to consistently be put into misinformation management,” they said.
Most sites rely on a combination of human moderators and AI, and it’s difficult to create automated moderation tools that don’t also censor allowed content. For example: health misinformation targeting minority communities often taps into legitimate distrust of medical professionals and institutions that have roots in recent history. An AI tool designed to moderate keywords associated with this sort of targeted misinformation might also sweep up criticism of health care systems in general.
And second, the creators who profit off health misinformation are really good at figuring out what they can say where, and what Thornburg calls “life boating” their audiences from one platform to another as needed. “You will have people who will drive interest in something through TikTok because the virality and the algorithm are aggressive,” Thornburg said. Then, their profile will link out to their Instagram or Linktree or YouTube channel.
Health misinformation on social media is a million cross-pollinating moving targets. TikTok Shop is a hot spot right now. Later, it might be something else on another platform. Chasing this content from platform to platform, harm to harm, viral video to viral video, is exhausting.
At the end, Thornburg shared the question that drives a lot of their work in this space, “Who do we consider accountable for these things that are harmful and regulate them or hold them to certain standards?” Often, it’s not really the person behind the individual piece of content driving the incentives for making it.
As a result, Garrett’s account was taken down, along with a few other popular videos advertising a book that has already sold tens of thousands of copies. As long as the incentives remain, it won’t be long until the next product promising a miracle starts polluting my For You page.

Can I use ANTONYMPH (Vylet Ponystep Remix) in a Minecraft music video I'm thinking of making? I really fell in love with this song, and I have a ton of cool ideas for a video.
this is an open letter to anyone who wants to use my music for stuff like youtube:
you can always use my music without asking! check this page for the full info: https://www.vyletpony.com/can-you-use-my-music
but tl;dr: please just credit me, link back to me, don't use gift songs/commissions that don't belong to you (that means anything in >> this playlist <<), and don't use my music for anything harmful!
if you follow these basic guidelines you can use my music in stuff like youtube videos and streaming stuff. i have made it so that my music isn't distributed to places that auto-copyright strikes people for using my songs. in other words, most of my discography is content creator friendly! AND, you may monetize videos and streams that use my music. i don't care. i just appreciate that you like my music enough to use it.
hopefully this answers ur question as well op!

Veronica, Miss Silesto, whatever you prefer
Part 1st
So (Veronica, Miss Silesto, whatever you prefer), I could talk about your experience, but I always think it's more interesting to hear it directly. So tell us a little bit about yourself!
Hi and thank you for inviting me to talk. You can call me Veronica. I seem to be one of the few actresses of the zoo genre who keeps in close touch with fans. I am interested in interactive primarily for getting approval and criticism, guidelines in the industry. And, of course, the huge benefit of this communication is that I get sensations, sometimes on the verge of enjoyment from realizing the number of people excited by my extreme creativity. Every woman will understand what I'm talking about: a warm compliment is very pleasant, and hundreds of thousands, millions of words of delight make you a star in your own world. Of course I’ll be frank and open in conversation with you, don’t hesitate to ask sharp questions.
A little about myself. I don't know how people imagine the beginning of such atypical relationship between a woman and animal. Probably, the imagination draws pictures of the poorest slums, dirt, prostitution, diseases, sex for a food? Perhaps I used to imagine bestiality myself that way, I don't remember exactly. But I myself turned out to be a completely different example. I am educated, rich and not stupid, my family is intelligent and progressive. My husband is a big businessman in the sports industry, my wife is a former fitness model (yes, I am in a polyamorous marriage). Of course, they knows about my passion and enjoys the spectacle from the "front row".
My zoo experience is not as rich as I would like, I really regret that I did not feel this craving in my early youth, when girls begin to form their sexual preferences and make choices. I will say for sure that I would not think about changing all my male sexual partners in the past to big beautiful dogs (don't tell my husband about this!)))  Seriously, I can't remember a single experience as vivid with a man as with my "fluffy boys".
Tumblr media
How did you find out that you were animal attracted? Was it something that you weren't sure about at first, or have you always believed that it was okay having animal partners?
My last husband always had pets, and after marrying him, I also found myself in the company of his cute Labrador puppy. This is a special breed for which the owners have the meaning of life. And this dog is especially beautiful, smart and affectionate. It is impossible to imagine a more human look in an animal, believe me! His name is Proximus. We had no plans for his mating, because it's strange for us to give our baby to fuck some dog)))
And so the virgin male began to grow up, being still the same tame and affectionate. And then there were some moments when I felt real sexual excitement from accidentally touching him with certain parts of the body. You understand me, I'm sure. That's where the first thoughts were born that in my sex journey through life, the topic of animals will not be limited to a slight interest in dog pornography in the past.
Later, everything gradually turned to conscious experiments. Probably, for six months I accustomed the Proximus to my body and eventually got a temperamental, attentive and very hot partner. Recently we have another pet – a beautiful gray Cane Corso. Of course, he is also already in the process of learning our "adult games".
Tumblr media
How did you get into making adult content? Did you start right into zoo stuff, or were you already making adult content and brought in another outside interest?
My husband was in the subject of my new "orientation" from the very beginning, he was unrealistically impressed and excited by this fact and of course the spectacle. I made videos for myself, then I started posting short home clips on thematic sites. And then I came up with the idea to create a full-fledged commercial movie and try to monetize what he shoots. As you can see, we did it well. Now there are 50 complete movies available, we made this collection in 2 years. And rest assured, we are not planning to stop! Moreover, we have a new star growing up.
This is my debut in the porn industry and in cinema in general. Before, I had nothing to do with cinema and did not even suspect that I would ever be. During my career in the zoo industry, we have made several "human" porn films in MFMF, MFM and just as a couple. But this is not intended for the mass audience, it is a personal archive.
Tumblr media
A lot of people call me "brave" for having a very public zoo persona and being outspoken about animal rights. But I'm sitting here behind a screen name and a profile picture. Meanwhile, you're in front of a camera with just a mask. Do you get nervous about creating the kind of content you do so openly?
Believe me, I definitely don't need to drink a bottle of strong alcohol to get out under the cameras. You probably see for yourself that most of the studio zoo was filmed either without emotion at all, or with obvious tension and nervousness. For me, sex can't be like that. My sex is always a volcano, always an event that prolongs my life and a real holiday. I'm not a sexaholic, I don't accept strangers, other people's dogs. I only have sex with those I love, that's why I look so natural in the frame.
But you meant the other side of my genre, which should make me nervous. Shame, condemnation, morality... Here I have a short conversation. I can only be guilty to those I love. I can also be ashamed only in front of them. And only they can hurt me. Everything else – society, sociality – is not my story. I have no idea who the guy is who shames me for having sex with my beloved dog. A pedophile? The killer? A corrupt official? Or just a stupid nobody? What should be the basis of my emotions according to his will, especially such complex ones as shame? I can't afford to be ashamed of strangers.
Well, another thing I might be nervous about is the law. Fortunately, my producer is an impeccable lawyer. I don't do things that can't be done on the territory of those countries where it can't be done. Everything that may seem illegal to viewers from conservative countries, I do where the law does not pursue it.
Tumblr media
Maybe a weird question, but I'm curious. Given the nature of the content, how much trouble do you run into with distribution? You host your own site where everyone can buy your content, but is it hard to find places to advertise? Are people hesitant to put their credit card info into a site like that? Also, have you had any issues with payment processors giving you issues because of your content?
I am quite far from marketing my movies, my wonderful team is working on promo and advertising. Fans know Eva, Jesus and other guys who work with me, making money from my videos. My silesto.com website and a dozen well-known porn sites that host trailers of my videos with ads. This is quite enough to do a good business. Don’t forget about my loyal fans, there are already more than 100 thousand of them. In any case, we have never had any problems with demand and are not expected.
As for payment systems and customer security. Of course, it would be stupid to try to sell extreme porn directly on your site. It is even more stupid to try to connect any payment system to accept cards. That's why there are people whose job it is to solve my problems. Our clients purchase goods without any hint of pornography, so they are guaranteed complete anonymity of such a transaction. For example, you can buy gum on Amazon or a travel package on Thomas Cook, and this will be in your bank statement. But as a result of this payment, you will receive a Veronica Silesto’s video.
We have never had any problems with payment systems, because we have never dealt with them. More problems with the unfortunate, who definitely need to spoil at least something. Write a complaint to my “OnlyFans” account, leave a dumpster after a picnic, or just spoil someone's mood. These are the phenomena that sometimes occur, adding extra work to my guys.
Tumblr media
So, part of what I find interesting in your content is that it's all you with your two dogs. It really feels like you care about the animals in your life. If you had to, how would you label your relationship with them?
Oh my God, millions of men dream of being in the place of these animals, believe me!))) A kilogram of steamed veal a day, luxury accommodation, the best beauty salons, health control like astronauts, constant sex with a beautiful woman! I assure you and all your readers – this is real, devoted, passionate love! They give me back what I feel, and it's an endless process of mutual dependence.
Tumblr media
If given the opportunity, are there other animals that you would like to record content with? Or are you exclusively interested in canines?
I have a lot of opportunities, and I would have given myself to the whole fauna of the Earth long ago if I were a crazy nymphomaniac. But everything is more prosaic: I am a simple family woman, devoted to my beloved creatures. Therefore, there will be no horses, pigs, moray eels, or even other dogs in me. Fortunately for me and to the disappointment of casual viewers. But that's what my loyal fans appreciate. I'm not a dirty whore, I'm their queen.
However, I have one exciting interest. I've never seen porn with a woman and a monkey. I assume that this is either completely unsafe or impossible due to the lack of monkeys in home education. But this is exactly what I would like to try. It can be an absolutely crazy experience, and my interest is too obsessive not to try it. My producer is in correspondence with a couple of chimpanzee owners, let's see if something comes out of this.
to be continue...
