Sumikko Friend Review
This will be a long one. I never really thought that I will own any virtual pet that isn't Tamagotchi. But then I saw Sumikko Friend and I couldn't stop thinking about it for months, until I got a chance to buy it. It was pricey, true, but after having it for a while I can say - it's worth it.
General score: 9/10
Design
First off, I really love the design. The toy is of similar size as a colour-screen Tamagotchi, but it's way lighter. The back is flat - you can rest the device comfortably on a table or other surface, however most of the interactions use the motion sensor, so get ready to hold your new buddy a lot. It ever has little leg-like bumps to avoid scratching the back.
The screen is the same size as Tamagotchi's, but it differs when it comes to the display. Sumikko screen is way softer, with pastel colours. Very nice to look at, especially if you're a fan of pastel aesthetics. However, it's a pain to take a good photo of it - the contrast is too low to make the details of the background as well-visible as in real life. It's a shame. I want people to see how pretty the rooms and animations are! Especially since some of the wallpapers for the rooms are animated, something I've never seen in Tamagotchi.
The brightness settings are alright. The sound is a bit worse - the device is quite loud even at the lowest setting. And it makes a lot of sounds - games, animations, Friend Mode. There is always some squeaking to be done. Fortunately, the sounds are all very pleasant, so it's actually a very nice experience. Just remember to mute it in public. Another trick is to simply cover the speaker at the back with your finger - that's not really possible with Tamagotchi, where the speakers are more hidden.
The device comes with 2 covers - Tokage and Shirokuma. I will elaborate on their functions later on. Here I just want to say that they are so pretty. The designs are simple and very cute. Especially the Shirokuma cover gets me - the little ears are just adorable. The plastic used is solid, matte and smooth, very pleasant to touch.
Finally, there are 2 physical buttons and one touch one, hidden at the top of the device. The left button is used to choose, the right one to confirm, and the touch button on top is the cancel one. The buttons are responsive and nice to touch. The touch one is very sensitive and works very well.

Tumblr media
2. Basic idea behind the device
Sumikko Friend is my first non-Tamagotchi virtual pet, so I had to adjust to a different gameplay. The most important difference is that your characters don't evolve nor grow up. You have 2 pets in this model: Tokage (a blue water dragon who pretends to be a lizard) and Shirokuma (a polar bear who moved south due to disliking cold climate.) They don't change - the goal of taking care of them is to become good friends. They don't grow old nor leave. The true fun is playing and interacting with the characters. There are a few levels of friendship and they are increased by playing, feeding and petting Tokage and Shirokuma.
Tumblr media
Another important goal is to collect pictures of Sumikko characters, foods and toys. It's done through using traps - there are quite a lot of them. You can either buy them or get them through Outing (another feature I will elaborate on later while talking about the main menu.) This part of the gameplay is cute, though not the most engaging. I often forget about it, but once I remember, I have to admit - the Sumikko illustrations are very cute.
Tumblr media
So yeah, your buddies won't die if you mistreat them. They might run away, though. Still, getting them back is not difficult. Generally, Sumikko Friend is not that demanding when it comes to attention it needs.
3. Sumikko Rooms and Basic Care
Tumblr media
Here you have an overview of the menu. We'll start with the Sumikko Rooms.
There are 2 of them - Tokage's and Shirokuma's. The characters sit, sleep and play there. You can toggle between them with the left button. The right one opens the care menu. Here you can feed, play the games that use the covers, clean the room, use the shower, check the stats and go Outing. You can also give toys to your pets and change the room wallpaper/furniture.
Tumblr media
What's important about feeding is that both characters have their favourite/disliked foods. The favourite foods will fill up the hunger meter faster, while the disliked foods will get rejected and not eaten. You can check which items are liked/disliked by each character online (I highly recommend checking out the English translation of the manual made by Fuzzy N Chic - it includes the foods and care tips too.)
Showering and cleaning the room is needed more often if you play the games a lot. Especially the room dusting is important - if you don't do it often enough, the dust will block your screen and make it impossible to play until you clean it.
Remodel allows you to change the wallpaper and the furniture in the left corner of the screen. Some of the wallpapers are unlocked through increasing the friendship meter, some are obtained through Outing. The furniture can be either bought in the Sumikko Market or obtained through Outing as well. The wallpapers are usually animated - it's a beautiful detail. The moving swing or a tree rustling in the wind are very cute.
The toys unlock new idle animations. They are adorable - I especially love the doll house and knitting ones. While knitting, the characters take a break to stare at you, which feels like a real interaction that happen when your pet realises that you're watching them play. Very sweet.
Tumblr media
Outing is a very interesting feature. While using it, the screen shows a map. When you walk around with the Sumikko device in your pocket/backpack, the little pin on the map moves around. In the top left corner, you see the counter of the circles walked around the map. The device actually reacts to shaking, so if you want to, you can simulate taking walks by shaking it (lazy!) In the Outing mode, the characters collect food, toys, furniture and traps for catching Sumikko.
The Friend Games: there are 5 games. They are quite simple and fun. 4 of them use the movement sensor, which makes them more interactive.
Imitating Freeze: the character makes a sequence of dance moves. Your task is to repeat them but tilting the device in the right directions
Look this way: very similar to the first one, but quicker and without the sequence part. The character's face moves in a direction. Your job is to tilt the device in the same direction
Frilly Dancing: this one will make your hand hurt. Shake the poor creature up and down as fast as you can. The goal is to set a new record when it comes to the number of shakes in the given game time
Minikko Hide & Seek: the bean-shaped thing will hide in your room. Your task is to find it. Do it by tilting the device left or right. The ringing sound will become faster once you approach the bean. When you find it, the Sumikko will have a happy face. Touch the top of the cover to end the game
Smile Stop: the only game that doesn't use the motion sensor. Stop the changing Sumikko faces on a happy or neutral one. Do it by touching the top of the cover. Pro tip: the happiest face always comes after the frowned one. Once you see the frown, get ready to click
Finally, the Friend Check option is just to check the stats. It shows you the Friend level and hunger. I was slightly surprised that the stats are the last option. On the other hand, you don't really need to check what's going on - the characters will let you know what's wrong through animations.
The Sumikko wake up at 6 am and fall asleep at 8 pm. Good for students, not that good for lazy cucks who have nothing better to do. Well, the toy is meant for a younger audience, so I can't blame them. Still, I'd prefer if they went to sleep a bit later.
4. Traps
The next option in the main menu is the Sumikko catching. To start, you need some traps. The metal claw is free and unlimited, but the rest you need to either buy at the market or get from Outing. There are a few methods of using the traps - that depends on what's displayed on the screen. Sometimes you need to tilt the device, sometimes click a button. Just pay attention to the animation on the screen.
As I've mentioned in the second segment, the point of this feature is to obtain cute Sumikko illustrations. There isn't anything more to it, but it's still nice.
Sometimes, you will randomly get a chance to draw a special price, usually a food item or another trap. Also, sometimes a wild Sumikko or Minikko appears and you can catch them for free.
Tumblr media
5. Settings
Quite self-explanatory. Here you can set the date, time, your birthday, brightness, sound, use the secret passwords and reset the device.
The remarkable thing are the secret codes. They aren't numeric, like in Tamagotchi, but consist of a few shapes that you need to arrange in the correct order. It's hard to find them, especially since the device is quite unknown in western countries, but I found this website that has some:
Also, the Fuzzy N Chic review video on YT includes the code from a gift card that was attacked to some sets. Unfortunately, I didn't get one in mine.
6. Sumikko Market
Here you can buy food, toys, furniture and traps. You'll be here quite often - Tokage and Shirokuma eat a lot. The prices are fine, so don't worry too much about that even if you don't play games too often.
The toy and furniture offer is small, since most of it is obtained through Outing.
Tumblr media
7. Game centre
As you can easily guess, here you can find gamest. None of them demands the covers, so they are pretty comfortable and quick. I will quickly go over them here. Each game has 2 modes - easy and hard. The "hard" mode isn't really that hard, but it gives you more Sumikko coins, so usually I go with it. Interesting thing - you can play the games even once the Sumikko are asleep, Good for insomniacs, I suppose.
Shirokuma's Apple Harvest: tilt the device left and right to catch all the apples. Avoid acorns - they hurt Shirokuma and slow it down
Penguin's? Long Distance Run: tilt the device to make Penguin? run and collect stars. Reach the finish line before the time runs out. Avoid the holes - they make you lose instantly
Neko's Sumikko Eats: tilt the device up and down to avoid the bushes and eat the foods. The cat food gives you more energy than onigiri
Tokage's Gem Collecting: my personal favourite. Tilt the device in different directions to control the fat lizard as it collects the gems in the water. Watch out for the jellyfish - they will hurt and slow you down!
Tonkatsu's Happy Dance: fried bits will come from left and right. Once they are in the circle, click left or right button to throw them off
Sumikko Roulette Fortune: click left or right button to stop the roulette. Various characters give you different points. This game is the easiest but gives very few Sumikko coins
8. Library
Here you can see all the pictures/items you've collected. Each has a short description. Not the most interesting if you don't read Japanese, but they are quite adorable.
9. Friend Mode
When you put on one of the covers, your device goes into the Friend mode. The face of the character is displayed on the screen and you can interact with them. This is necessary to keep them happy throughout the day - nothing will replace physical touch. Pet them, rock them to the sides and press on their hands. They love it, especially the petting.
Pro-tip: rocking won't work unless the Sumikko is already happy. Just pet them with gentle stroked on top of the device, giving them breaks to return to regular face. Once they start blushing after some petting, it means they are happy. Then you can rock them too.
In my experience, Shirokuma is more demanding in care than Tokage - they go hungry at the same time but Shirokuma gets upset faster.
Tumblr media
10. Conclusion
Generally, I highly recommend getting Sumikko Friend. It's unique and amazing to play with. You just can't get enough of looking at it. You can get some decent offers on eBay (that's where I got mine.) The gameplay is very different from Tamagotchi, but it's a welcome fresh breeze. I absolutely love it and it made me want to take further look into the Sumikko franchise

Training Tools: The collar includes gentle feedback options, such as sounds and vibrations, to guide your dog’s behavior.

One of the most compelling features of the Halo Dog Collar is its ability to create virtual fences with just a single tap on the Halo app. This function is what sets the Halo Dog Collar apart from traditional GPS trackers and physical fences.
Step-by-Step Guide: How to Set Up a Virtual GPS Fence
Setting up a virtual GPS fence using the Halo Dog Collar app is incredibly easy. Whether you’re at home, in the park, or on vacation, you can establish safe zones for your dog in just a few moments. Here’s how:
Step 1: Open the Halo Dog Collar App
Start by opening the Halo app on your smartphone. If you haven’t already downloaded the app, it’s available for both iOS and Android devices. Once the app is open, make sure your Halo collar is connected to your phone via Bluetooth or cellular data.
Step 2: Access the Virtual Fence Feature
From the app’s home screen, navigate to the "Virtual Fences" section. This is where you can view existing fences, modify them, or create new ones. The interface is designed to be intuitive, so even if you’re not tech-savvy, you’ll find it easy to use.
Step 3: Set Your Fence Location
To set up a new virtual fence, tap the “+” button or the option to create a new fence. The app will prompt you to select a location on the map. You can either use your current location or choose another spot by dragging the map to your desired area. This is particularly useful if you’re setting up a fence at a place other than your home, like a park or a friend’s house.
Step 4: Define the Fence Boundaries
Once you’ve selected the location, you’ll need to define the boundaries of your virtual fence. The Halo app allows you to draw a custom-shaped fence by tapping on the map to create boundary points. Alternatively, you can choose from predefined shapes like circles or squares. The app will automatically calculate the area within the boundaries and display it for your review.
Step 5: Save and Activate the Fence
After setting the boundaries, simply tap “Save” to activate the fence. Your virtual GPS fence is now live, and your dog’s collar will notify them if they approach or cross the boundaries. You can monitor their location in real time and receive alerts on your phone if they stray too far.
That’s it! In just a few taps, you’ve created a safe zone for your dog, no matter where you are.
Benefits of Virtual GPS Fences
The ability to create virtual GPS fences with the Halo Dog Collar offers numerous benefits for both you and your dog. Let’s explore some of the key advantages:
1. Enhanced Safety for Your Dog
The primary purpose of a virtual GPS fence is to keep your dog safe. By establishing boundaries, you can prevent your dog from wandering into dangerous areas, such as busy streets, dense forests, or unfamiliar neighborhoods. The real-time alerts allow you to act quickly if your dog leaves the designated area, giving you peace of mind.
2. Flexibility and Convenience
Unlike traditional physical fences, virtual GPS fences can be set up anywhere, anytime. Whether you’re at home, visiting a friend, or traveling, you can create a safe zone for your dog with minimal effort. This flexibility is particularly valuable for dog owners who live in apartments, have large properties, or frequently take their pets on trips.
3. Cost-Effective Solution
Installing a physical fence can be expensive and time-consuming, especially if you have a large yard or live in a rented property where modifications are restricted. Virtual GPS fences eliminate the need for costly installations and maintenance, providing a cost-effective solution for keeping your dog secure.
4. Customization and Control
With the Halo Dog Collar app, you have complete control over your dog’s boundaries. You can easily adjust the size and shape of the virtual fence to suit your needs, ensuring your dog has enough space to roam while staying within safe limits. Additionally, the app allows you to set up multiple fences in different locations, which is ideal for multi-property owners or frequent travelers.
5. Training and Behavioral Guidance
The Halo collar is equipped with gentle feedback mechanisms, such as sounds and vibrations, that can be triggered if your dog approaches or crosses a boundary. These cues help reinforce your dog’s understanding of the boundaries without causing stress or discomfort. Over time, your dog will learn to stay within the safe zones, making the virtual fence an effective training tool.
Real-Life Success Stories
The Halo Dog Collar and its virtual GPS fence feature have garnered praise from countless dog owners who have experienced the benefits firsthand. Here are a few success stories:
Sarah and Max: A Travel Tale
Sarah, an avid traveler, loves taking her Golden Retriever, Max, on road trips across the country. However, she always worried about Max’s safety in unfamiliar places. After investing in the Halo Dog Collar, Sarah was able to set up virtual fences at every campsite and rental home they stayed at. Max could explore new environments freely, while Sarah enjoyed peace of mind knowing that Max was safe. “It’s like having an invisible fence wherever we go,” says Sarah. “The Halo collar has made our travels stress-free.”
John and Bella: Suburban Adventures
John lives in a suburban area with open spaces and busy roads nearby. His energetic Border Collie, Bella, loves to run and explore, but John was concerned about her venturing too far. With the Halo Dog Collar, John set up a virtual fence around his property, allowing Bella to roam the yard without the risk of escaping. “Bella gets to enjoy her freedom, and I don’t have to worry about her running off,” says John. “It’s the perfect solution for active dogs.”
Emily and Cooper: Apartment Living
Emily lives in an apartment complex with limited outdoor space for her Beagle, Cooper. She was hesitant to let Cooper off-leash in the shared courtyard until she discovered the Halo Dog Collar. Now, Emily sets up a virtual fence in the courtyard every time they go outside, giving Cooper the freedom to play without the risk of wandering off. “It’s amazing how easy it is to set up a fence with the app,” says Emily. “Cooper loves the extra space to explore, and I love knowing he’s safe.”
These stories illustrate how the Halo Dog Collar’s virtual GPS fence feature has transformed the lives of dog owners, providing them with a reliable and convenient way to protect their pets.

Whether you're a tech-savvy pet owner or someone who’s new to smart pet devices, this guide will help you make the most of this fantastic tool.
What is a Virtual GPS Fence?
Before diving into the “how-to,” it’s essential to understand what a virtual GPS fence is and why it’s beneficial for your dog. A virtual GPS fence is a digital boundary that you set around a specific area, such as your yard, a park, or any place you frequent with your dog. Once the boundary is set, the Halo Dog Collar monitors your dog’s location in real-time, alerting you if they approach or cross the defined boundary. This feature ensures that your dog remains safe within the designated area and gives you peace of mind when your dog is off-leash.
How to Create a Virtual GPS Fence with a Single Tap
Creating a virtual GPS fence with the Halo Dog Collar app is designed to be intuitive and straightforward. Here’s a step-by-step guide:
Step 1: Open the Halo Dog Collar App
Ensure your phone is connected to the internet and open the Halo Dog Collar app. The app is available for both iOS and Android devices and can be downloaded from their respective app stores.
Step 2: Connect to Your Halo Dog Collar
Before setting up the GPS fence, make sure your Halo Dog Collar is charged and connected to the app via Bluetooth. Once connected, you’ll see the collar’s status on the app’s home screen.
Step 3: Navigate to the GPS Fence Feature
On the app’s main interface, look for the GPS Fence feature. This is typically represented by a map icon or a “Create Fence” button. Tap on this to begin the process.
Step 4: Select Your Desired Area
The app will display a map of your current location. You can zoom in or out to adjust the view. To create a fence, simply tap on the area you want to define as a boundary. The app will automatically generate a circular or polygonal fence around the selected spot.
Step 5: Adjust the Fence Size and Shape
You can customize the fence by dragging the boundary points to expand or shrink the area. This feature allows you to create fences that perfectly match your yard’s layout or any specific area you choose.
Step 6: Save Your Virtual Fence
Once you’re satisfied with the fence’s size and shape, tap the “Save” button. Your virtual GPS fence is now active, and the app will start monitoring your dog’s location relative to this boundary.
Step 7: Monitor and Enjoy Peace of Mind
After setting up the fence, the app will notify you if your dog gets close to or crosses the boundary. You can also track your dog’s activity and location in real-time, ensuring they’re always safe.

1. Regularly Update the Fence
As you and your dog’s needs change, don’t hesitate to update or create new fences. Whether you move to a new home or your dog’s play area changes, the app allows you to easily adapt the virtual boundaries.
2. Use Multiple Fences
Take advantage of the app’s ability to create multiple fences. Set up different boundaries for various activities, such as a walking route, a play zone, or a rest area. This ensures your dog is always within a safe zone, no matter what they’re doing.

Father’s Day
@autistic-human’s post and @moonlightcycle571’s comment on said post were the inspiration for this one. I love dad Marvel soooooo much, cause I think Billy would try his best to be a good adult figure without even realizing it can come off as parental. He’d just be doing what he would’ve wanted someone to do for him, which was be there for whichever kid no matter what. So what happens when a bunch of angsty teens with trauma meet him? He’s obviously going to try his best to be there for them!
Like Kon, when he first met Marvel, he didn’t really know what to think of the man. He was nice. Almost overwhelmingly so. He also helps Kon with anything if he ever needs help. He’s also almost always around and is willing to talk about virtually anything with Kon too. And this isn’t just exclusive to him, but to everyone. (It makes him feel slightly queasy sometimes. He hasn’t realized what he’s feeling is jealousy whenever his parental figure’s attention is on another kid.) So that’s why when Father’s Day came around and M’gann suggested they all do something for Marvel, he was a little dumbfounded. One, because he just came to the realization that he thinks of Marvel as a kinda dad, and two, because what were they going to do? Marvel isn’t actually their dad, so what if the Captain finds it weird? Kon really doesn’t want to think about Cap finding all of this weird.
The YJ eventually decided to just get Cap a gift. They were all pretty sure that’s what you were supposed to give fathers. Now the question is: what to give him?
Marvel: *goes to Mount Justice to check in on the kids*
YJ: *All in the kitchen fighting about how to frost the cookies cause they all did it differently*
Marvel: *hears them and comes to the kitchen*
YJ: *doesn’t notice him*
Kon: *Does notice and picks up his batch of cookies and goes to Marvel* “Cap.” *presents cookies to Billy*
Marvel: “Huh?” *stares at cookies. Kon’s cookies are a bunch of mishapen blobs with smiley faces* “Are these for me?”
Kon: *nods head* “They’re you.”
Marvel: *takes a cookie with one of the biggest smiles Kon has ever seen on the man’s face* “This is amazing… thanks Kon!” *bites cookie* “They’re really good too!”
Kon: “Really?” *eyes shining at the praise*
Marvel: “Yeah!” *finishes cookie and is about to grab another one*
Other YJ members: *now notice Marvel and Kon* “Wait! Wait! Wait! Try mine next!” *they all proceed to take turns shoving cookies into Marvel’s hands*
Marvel: *eats them all and gives each of them stellar reviews*
About after thirty minutes of Marvel and the kids eating cookies…
Marvel: “What was all this for by the way?”
YJ: “Huh?”
Marvel: “What was all this for? I mean, it’s not my birthday, so…” *doesn’t know it’s Father’s Day*
YJ: “Oh uh… We just felt like it.”
Marvel: “Oh. Okay!” *just happy to gobble the last, remaining cookies* “By the way, this means a lot to me. Even if it was just a spur of the moment thing. I appreciate it.”
YJ: *all super duper uper happy he loves it but trying not to show it* “No problem.” (Spoiler: they’re not very good at hiding it.)
Then there’s Damian. He’s always had a love-hate relationship with Marvel’s happy go lucky, friendly attitude, but it sort of reminds him of Grayson so he’ll never admit it but it’s leaning more towards love. The man has also weirdly never once gotten mad at him, or at anyone as far as he can tell. He’s extremely patient, and the fact that Damian hasn’t pushed the limits of that patience yet is surprising to the young Wayne. The man also knows a surprising about of animal facts and lets him pet his tiger. So that’s another bonus. The man also doesn’t underestimate him solely based on the fact he’s a child. So, when the Father’s Day holiday rolls around, he decides he would reward Marvel for being an admittedly commendable person.
Marvel: *standing by the window of the Titan’s tower, looking at Jump City*
Damian: *appears from nowhere* “Captain.”
Marvel: *jumps before looking to Damian* “Yes, Robin?”
Damian: *holds up Alfred the Cat* “This is Alfred the Cat. I’m giving you the privilege to pet him just this once. Say hi, Alfred.”
Alfred the Cat: *meows*
Marvel: “Hi.” *little wave to Alfred* “Nice to meet you, Alfred.” *shakes Alfred’s little paw before petting him*
Damian: *lets Marvel get a single pet in before pulling Alfred away* “Alright, that’s enough.”
Marvel: “Oh- uh…” *smiles at Damian* “Thanks for letting me pet him, Robin.”
Damian: “Your welcome.” *nods at him before walking off to bring Alfred back to the manor*
Then there’s also Raven. She honestly had no intention of even thinking about the holiday, considering the fact her father is a demon that actively sucks and ruins her life. Then she saw Damian do his thing and after thinking about the Captain and how the man cares for her and her team members… she supposed he should get some type of reward. The man is extremely nice after all.
A little while after Damian’s departure…
Marvel: *back to looking out the window*
Raven: *also appears out of nowhere* “Marvel.”
Marvel: *jumps just like with Damian and looks to her* “Yes, Raven?”
Raven: *presents Marvel with a mini version of himself*
Mini Marvel: *waves to Billy*
Marvel: “Wha?” *bends down slightly to look at Mini Marvel with a confused smile* “Is that me?”
Raven: *nods head* “It’s a new spell I learned. I wanted to show you.”
Marvel: *pokes Mini Marvel in the stomach* “This is… Amazing!” *gives her a wide grin* “You’re amazing!”
Raven: *a little surprised she feels happy at the man’s approval but isn’t really hating* “Thanks.”
Marvel: “Actually, wait. Hold up!” *mutters a spell and in his hand spawns a Mini Raven. He places the Mini Raven in Raven’s palm with the Mini Marvel*
Mini Marvel: *fawning over Mini Raven*
Mini Raven: *blankly staring at Mini Marvel and lets it fawn*
Marvel: “And you’re saying you learned this spell on your own?” *looks away from the Minis and to Raven* “That’s awesome. You did a wonderful job.”
Raven: *doesn’t really know how to handle all the praise* “Thanks… I’m uh… I think I left the stove on.” *instead of heading to the kitchen, runs off to her room*
Marvel ended up later telling the other members of the JL how many gifts he’s gotten that day. They were a little confused and wondered how many kids Marvel could have. But no, they found out that a lot of their own kids think of him as a somewhat father. Also, a few of the adults might’ve thought about slipping Marvel gifts when the man wasn’t looking cause Billy being a dad isn’t just exclusive to the kids.

Angel
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
virtual angel - artms
--
-hes very busy, with meetings and constantly is in his office. Reviewing plans or studying the scripture. But he never fails to send you texts
'hello angel <3'
"I will be home late, please don't stay up for me <3."
“I’ve made us restaurant reservations, so be ready when I get home <3.”
-his texts are always grammatically correct, since hes always writing to his colleagues or to other families.
-but sometimes he tried to incorporate emoticons.
“How are you my angel? :3”
“These meetings are boring. ;-;”
"Hello darling, I bought take out! o((>ω< ))o"
-he’s so cute
-but he often checks in when he has a chance too, and often responds quickly. And always ends his message with a heart.
-when speaking of you or to you he smiles with his eyes closed. He will find any excuse to talk about you
-and he’ll likely bring your flowers after a long day, as an apology for taking too long.
-taking you to his 'family' dinners, and parties.
-and help you dress up and even put on your makeup, jewelry, and help you with your zipper/tie/buttons.
-kissing your cheek, and shoulder as he does. Whispering sweet things in your ear.
-he'll always have things for you incase of an emergency as well, if you find yourself with a spill or your shoes are hurting. He'll tell his assistant to bring you a new pair and escort you to a private room.
-during parties he'll drag you away, to walk around just the two of you
Your sitting on the couch on your phone, reading the latest news before your attention is turned to the door opening. Revealing Sunday as he carried a small bouquet of flowers “I apologize the florist didn’t have any that were bigger my love he began as he closed the door “I’ll buy you bigger ones next time”
"you and your gifts for me sunday" you spoke taking the flowers from him and arranging them. "I love giving you things, I have money to throw around why not spend it on my lovely fiance" he replied playing with your hair, and burying his nose into your collarbone "you're so wonderful... " he uttered his hands gently rubbing your waist "so perfect.. I love you very much you know"
--
-Sunday only works during the week, on weekends he's all yours.
-you both wake up late in his expensive bed, he'll be all over you in the morning whispering sweet nothings.
-he'll make breakfast, whatever you want he'll make.
-Making a plan of what you want and organize the day to fit your schedule. Ordering his driver around and having a private shopping day
-giving anyone a look if they look at your a little weird
-buying you anything and everything 'I dont have any other use for my credits' he'd say as he placed another ring on your finger.
--
"Sunday I can make pancakes" you huff trying to take the spatula from his thin fingers
"You work too hard, It time for me to pamper you" he said slyly, bringing up your hand and kissing your knuckles. "You do that every week"
"oh do I? I guess i forget" he chuckles flipping the pancakes.
"Would you like bacon with that my love?"
--
-you spend weekends together, in restaurants or shopping.
-or just at home lazing around, watching tv, scrolling through social medias or just petting his wings.
-he spoils you in every shape and form.
-buying you earrings, rings, necklaces and all kinds of stuff that'll make you happy
--
"this looks lovely on you doesn't it" he said pulling out a frilly shirt, with a gentle smile. "Sunday I have that one in 3 colors"
"it looks so beautiful on you why not have one more" he said putting up again your torso "its on sale as well" he added placing it on the overfilled basket
--
- He'll try to hide his stress and his own emotions from you, in an effort to not affect you.
-sometimes he'll open up about his past if hes tipsy enough, his wing piercings, his clipped wing on his torso, his trauma with the family, loosing his mother.
-especially when its something with that gopher fuck gopher wood
-you could tell when he was anxious, he would touch his piercing on his wing or play with his gloves
-that and he'll be spacing out during dinner
--
"did something happen a work" you asked taking his hand from his wing. "Nothing to worry your pretty head about" he said calmly kissing your hand, and smiling. "your sure.. you seem antsy" you insist "Just a bit antsy for the festival.. Hoping everything will be perfect, especially you. We have to find a new outfit for you don't we?"
--
-he was always a smooth talker and manipulative, hes able to easily do it when your worried as well.
-he does it so you dont think about it too much, as well as using gifts to lead you away from the conversation
-he doesn't like manipulating his love he'll avoid it, but its so you dont ask too many questions.
--
"I love you, you know that" he said not looking up from his desk, as he spoke to you over the phone "I know that.. I'm just worried you know, you haven't taken any days off this week." you vocalized as he continues his paper work "I'll make us reservations at your favorite restaurant" he suggests finally picking up the phone
"Sunday.. I just want to know you're okay"
"I am my angel, please stop worrying we'll see eachother at dinner. I love you, alright? I love you.. very much" he murmured before hanging up. His mind had many thoughts but you were always on top, he smiled to himself as he looked as the many photos of you on his desk.
--
Sunday loves you very much, his only regret it not showing it more. As he fell from the penacony theatre, his eyes following the horizon as he envisioned your smile. The only thing giving him hope, that he'll survive this fall.

YOU MUST MAKE A WEBSITE
Oh wow, look at that! YET ANOTHER post urging you to make a webbed site! What a completely new thing that people haven't made a thousand masterposts for already!!
• Making a website might look scary. It is Not.
At first, I too thought making a website was too much work. It really isn't! It turns out that all you need is
an HTML file,
a web hosting service and
w3schools tutorials,
and that's about it!
This post will point you towards these resources, and others I found useful while figuring out how to make a website.
• VERY QUICK EXPLANATIONS:
What's HTML and CSS?
HTML is the content of your webpage, the skeleton of it. What shows up in a webpage is what's written in the HTML file!
CSS is the way the HTML is styled; the colour of the background and the letters, the size of elements, the font, all that!
Do I absolutely NEED JavaScript for a website?
Not at all! You don't need to worry about learning it before getting started.
• What do I make a website for? What do I put in there?
ANYTHING AND ALMOST EVERYTHING. Here's some ideas for pages from a post of mine were I was very normal about websites:
You can make a page that's only pictures of your pets.
You can make an interactive adventure.
You can make your own academic blog full of your own essays or articles.
You can just post a ton of art or make a full music page.
You can make a blog and infodump eternally, give book reccs and reviews. You can host a thousand virtual pets and nothing else.
Upload entire books in a single html file. Make a wikipedia for your ocs. Make a fake site for a random fictional place (restaurant, hotel, whatever). You can make a thousand fanpages/shrines about your favorite media. You can upload your own webcomic and make it all like a fancy website and shit.
I could keep going but, for the sake of "brevity", I won't.
• WEBSITE EXAMPLES!
If I started listing the websites I know, this post would be bottomless. Here's only seven:
https://publictransit.neocities.org/ - A webbed site, for sure
https://ribo.zone/ - A personal site
https://leusyth.neocities.org/ - An art archive
https://solaria.neocities.org/ - Personal website with A Lot of stuff (it'll come up in a bit, because it offers web making resources)
https://hog.neocities.org/ - The Hogsite
https://thegardenofmadeline.neocities.org/ - Another personal site! It also has a web resources page and has made another masterpost like this one (but better)
https://spiders.neocities.org/ - My own website, which must be weird to see in mobile . sorry
• You've convinced me. I want a webbed site. Where do I start?
https://neocities.org/
FIRST OF ALL: Neocities. It is a free web hosting service, and it's the one I and the sites I linked use!
When I first started, my website was a black page with red letters and a drawing, and nothing else! It was like that for a month, till i started picking up on how to do things.
Here's what helped me get an idea of how to make things work:
https://sadgrl.online/learn/articles/beginners-guide-neocities
An absolute beginners guide to neocities -- while when you make an account there you get a tutorial page from the site, this one's extra support for that.
https://www.w3schools.com/
Learn HTML, CSS, JavaScript and MANY other coding things for free. All the tutorial/reference pages have live testing windows for you to mess with!! helped me a LOT while figuring this stuff out!
https://htmlcheatsheet.com/
https://htmlcheatsheet.com/css/
Cheatsheets for HTML and CSS, respectively. It includes a JavaScript one too!
https://sadgrl.online/webmastery/
Sadgrl's webmastery resources! Also includes the next resource listed here:
https://sadgrl.online/projects/layout-builder/
Sadgrl's layout builder; not a lot of customization at a first glance, but I've seen wildly different websites all using it as a base, plus it works using CSS Flexbox, so it generates a responsive layout!
(basically, a responsive layout is one that translates well in different sized screens)
https://www.tumblr.com/fysa/728086939730919424/wikitable-code?source=share
Tumblr user fysa made this layout imitating a wiki page!
https://brackets.io/
At some point, you might want to do things outside the Neocities code editor and get one outside the site. I recommend Brackets, because my old as fuck computer can run that and absolutely nothing else apparently, and it works wonderfully! Though I recommend either turning off the code autocomplete or using it after a good while of already using the Neocities code editor, so you get used to coding on your own.
http://www.unit-conversion.info/texttools/text-to-html/
Turn your text into HTML code! i use this kind of pages for my lengthy blog entries that I don't feel like formatting myself.
https://imagecompressor.com/
COMPRESS YOUR IMAGES.
The heavier an image is, the more your site weighs and the more time your page will spend loading. You don't want that, specially if your site is heavy on graphics. This might help!
https://solaria.neocities.org/guides
Some CSS, JavaScript and Accessibility guides! Worth checking out!
https://eloquentjavascript.net/
This is a free, interactive book for learning JavaScript! NOTE: It is very intuitive, but JavaScript is HARD!! I still haven't learned much of it, and my website does fine without so don't worry if you end up not doing much with it. It's still useful + the exercises are fun.
And now, accessories!
• Silly stuff for your page :]
https://gifypet.neocities.org/
Make a virtual pet, copy the code and paste it in your HTML file! You'll get a little guy in your webbed site :]
https://www.wikplayer.com/
Music player for your website!
http://www.mf2fm.com/rv/
JavaScript silly effects for your site :]
https://blinkies.neocities.org/geoblinkies
Blinkie search engine!
https://www.cbox.ws/
Add a chatbox to your site!!
https://momg.neocities.org/
Infinite gallery of gifs. i've spent hours in there looking at moving pictures and out of them all, the ONLY gif i actually ended up using on my site was a rotating tomato slice. it is still there. trapped.
https://wrender.neocities.org/tarotinstructions
A widget that gives you a random tarot card!
https://www.websudoku.com/widget.php
Sudoku widget!
That's about it for now! I don't know how to end this!!! Remember to have fun and google everything you don't know :]

Appendix D: Some Pig/One More Final
The first three posts in this series are here.
Undertale was a slightly postmodern children's fantasy movie produced by Jim Henson's Creature Shop in the '80s. Noah Hathaway played the protagonist, Frisk, who went on a long quest to escape from a magical prison inside Mt. Ebott; Frisk's father had thrown them into the mountain, known to be full of monsters, in an attempt to kill them. However, it's suggested that as a human, Frisk is inherently more of a protagonist than a monster can be, and has a vague sort of magical power over them. Toriel's death, which Frisk accidentally causes early in the movie, is commonly listed as a Peak Sad Childhood Moment.
George Orwell wrote The Writing In The Web, a political fable about a cult started by a well-meaning spider. E. B. White wrote Snowball's Farm, a whimsical children's tale about a farm whose animals decide to take over.
Infamously, Emmanuel Goldstein's monologue fills dozens of pages, takes at least three hours to read aloud, and brings the plot of Ayn Rand's 1984 to a screeching halt.
Short story collections and anthologies often keep the same title, author, and spirit, it's just the stories that are swapped out. For example, classic episodes of Rod Serling's The Twilight Zone include A Wonderful Life, The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty, Miracle On 34th Street, and The Sixth Sense. 1983's The Twilight Zone Movie includes segments based on classic episodes Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (directed by John Landis and given anti-war themes), Cocoon, The Poltergeist, and In Search of the Twelve Monkeys (the original starred a young William Shatner). Candle Cove is an episode of Black Mirror.
League of Extraordinary Gentlemen was a 1999 Ben Stiller comedy about a team of low-rent superheroes who theme themselves after public domain characters because they cannot afford licensing fees. The film was well-reviewed, but a box office bomb. It was actually the first film to use Smash Mouth's One Week - the One Week music video is actually cross promotion with League of Extraordinary Gentlemen - and it would remain the film most associated with the song until Dreamworks' Happily N'Ever After hit theaters two years later.
The Amazing Digital Circus was a virtual pet game and toy line that struck when the iron was hot on that niche, before being bought out by Hasbro and rebooted a few times in different forms and mediums. Lauren Faust created a long-running television cartoon of it that was a huge smash hit with fandom culture despite the show's clearly very young target audience. The property's canon is all very light kiddie fare; the scariest thing about The Amazing Digital Circus is that for a brief and touchy stretch of time in the early 2000s, it was owned by the Peoples Temple, which was seriously considering turning it into a recruiting platform.
Your cringe unpublished works that you gave up on were almost certainly swapped around with other people's cringe unpublished works that they gave up on. There's lots of upwards and downwards mobility to the scramble, but not usually that much. Exceptions are very rare - like a beggar suddenly being made king, or a god being reincarnated into an ant - but they do occasionally happen. For example, what you know as the land of Oz exists only in the head of a young Milwaukee stoner, who suddenly came up with the idea for an epic graphic novel one day in the 2010s while sitting on the bus, and spent a couple of years absolutely convinced she would eventually make it. (She cannot draw.) Conversely, L. Frank Baum's children's fantasy series, Enormia, which has been adapted and reimagined many times, most notably as audiences' introduction to color film, exists in your world only as a different Milwaukee stoner's overly elaborate backstory for his jerkoff sessions. This kind of thing is much more the exception than the rule, and even such exceptions are almost always much smaller in scope - an obscure stillborn project getting swapped around with an obscure out-of-print novel, or an obscure direct-to-video z-movie.
The True Detectives forum and its many schismatic spinoffs, all of which are devoted to discussing mystery fiction, host literally thousands of Wind fanfics. Many of the writers - perhaps most of them - have never actually read Wind, just other fanfiction of it; next to none of the fics are worth reading. Most Wind fics reuse the original protagonist, Rorschach, but treat him as a generically relatable blank slate. The most common fic format by far is the "altdunnit", a form of what-if scenario in which the mystery that sets off Wind's plot is different in some way.
Tumblr media
Rorschach is held by a substantial portion of the fandom to be an egg (a trans woman who has not realized it yet). Wildbow has never endorsed this interpretation, and it doesn't seem to be much on his radar. In recent years, the trans Rorschach portion of the fandom has grown; they don't tend to look especially kindly on Warn, much of which Wildbow wrote as a response to fans (like those on the True Detectives forum) he felt had been too inclined to take Rorschach's side in Wind. Flame wars over Warn's content were constant throughout its serial publication, and made it easily the rockiest experience of Wildbow's writing career.
Some noteworthy and relevant podcasts include Jonathan Sims' The Dresden Files, the Ranged Touch Network's Scott Pilgrim Made The World, Doof Media's Winding Down (later Warning Down), and the McElroy family's The Adventure Zone (an actual play podcast which has currently had three major campaigns, two anthology series, and various one-shots). Film Reroll is still an actual play podcast that runs the basic setups of movies (and occasionally other media) as short tabletop campaigns; occasionally, their version of a movie will be much closer to ours than it is to the version of the movie in their own universe.
Xenobuddy was an early childhood public access show, originally created for the BBC in the late 1990s but later aired internationally. The title character is a small alien puppet who lives on a futuristic spaceship staffed by children (who speak a vague conlang akin to a dollar store Esperanto). At the end of every episode, it gets lost and is found, usually by (harmlessly) bursting out of one of the children. It was very popular with its target audience and much loathed by parents. Edgy ironic fanart depicting the titular Xenobuddy as some kind of dangerous parasite abounds.
Static is a supernatural slasher franchise created by Wes Craven, with the first film, also simply titled Static, released in 1984. The movies concern a group of gibbering neotenous ogre-fae who wake up in the modern day after a long sleep, incorporate televisions into their bodies, and start eating people by sucking them into hellish pocket dimensions. The Screen-Guts collectively are probably in the top five antagonists most people think of when they think of slasher horror.
Toby Fox's ROSEQUARTZ is especially known for its meta take on video game morality systems. The game has a mission-based structure; throughout it, the player is encouraged to take on a pacifist playstyle, championed by the player character's late mother, the title character. However, the Crystal Gems give the player enough autonomy that you are entirely able to take a much more violent tack; doing so has a rippling effect on the game's writing in countless immersively-integrated ways. If the player goes out of their way to be as murderous as possible - the so-called "genocide route" - the differences from the main route grow much more extreme, and rather than gaining allies, you start to lose them, as the Crystal Gems realize what you're doing and one by one turn against you. If you manage to shatter Garnet - it's the hardest and most iconic fight in the game, Megalovania is playing, her Future Vision gets used for all it's worth - then you use your knife to slash at the cosmos, erasing Earth, Homeworld, and everything else. This, Toby Fox is saying, is apparently all you want out of a video game - another toy to break.
Warner Bros still did Space Jam with Michael Jordan and the Looney Tunes, it's just that the Looney Tunes in question were Mickey Mouse and friends. They also still did a second one with LeBron James, which was, by God, somehow worse. They put Ms. Frizzle in it.
Walt Disney made his squeaky clean reputation on the back of adaptations of things like Rudyard Kipling's adventure novel The Call of Cthulhu, P. L. Travers' Thomas the Tank Engine, and Erich Kästner's feel-good coming-of-age kidnapping tale about the power of perseverance, Lolita, originally done with Hayley Mills and later remade with Lindsay Lohan.
Nabokov's extremely controversial literary classic that has defined the idea of the unreliable narrator is Father's Trap, from the perspective of a man who plots to obtain custody of both of his daughters for nefarious purposes. Most publishers ignored Nabokov's instructions not to depict the twins, Lisa and Lottie, on the cover. Stanley Kubrick and Adrian Lyne have directed mediocre film adaptations, and songwriting team Lerner and Loewe did a musical that was a legendary flop.
The Japanese fashion movement is Gothic Pollyanna, after an otherwise-forgotten series of penny dreadfuls about a cute, cheery, rules-minded young girl who is, despite appearances, an insane criminal. Minor character Bonesaw in Alan Moore's Worm Turns also clearly hearkens back to the Pollyanna stock character.
The DEA was a prime-time soap opera about the ongoing "war on drugs"; it ran for eleven seasons from 1982 to 1993. Its plot focused on federal agents working at the Drug Enforcement Administration office in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and especially partners Hank Schrader and Steve Gomez and their families. It is mostly remembered today for its downer ending (in which the treachery of late-show villain Walter White, or "Heisenberg", gets the leads killed, and he escapes from justice), and for its far-more-acclaimed spinoff series Better Call Saul, which also ran for eleven seasons from 1993 to 2004, functioning as a prequel, midquel, and sequel to The DEA.
Between The DEA and Better Call Saul, Kelsey Grammer played crooked lawyer Saul Goodman for twenty consecutive years of primetime TV, first as featured comic relief and later as a leading man. (He also guest-starred on the mostly-forgotten Mall Cop, establishing that it, too, was set in the world of The DEA and Better Call Saul.) Better Call Saul won more than a dozen Primetime Emmys. Peri Gilpin received several of these for her performance as Kim Wexler.
Tumblr media
St. Elsewhere was a film written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan in the late 1990s; it was highly acclaimed and successful, and established Shyamalan in the public eye as a skilled auteur with an affinity for twist endings. The film's final scene reveals that its main setting, St. Eligius Hospital, exists entirely within the imagination of an autistic boy, Tommy Westphall, as he gazes into a snowglobe. The so-called "Tommy Westphall Universe Hypothesis", which posits that this same twist applies to most of fiction due to a network of crossovers, was invented by a Saturday Night Live sketch shortly postdating the film's release, in which an amnesiac Charles McGill (from Better Call Saul) wakes up in St. Eligius, attended to by a cast of characters who are more concerned with their own nonexistence.
After rising to prominence as a writer, storyboarder, and composer for Pendleton Ward's Science Time (where she established the Summer/Jessica relationship that would come to define later seasons), Rebecca Sugar got to make her own cartoon, Henry Ichor. Set in a recently post-apocalyptic but strangely cheerful world, Henry Ichor concerns a young teenage boy who is conscripted as a mech pilot due to his rare and innate ability to link to the powerful Evangelion mecha. (His preferred Evangelion is eventually revealed to be a form of his late mother, the reason he can do this in the first place.) Henry turns out to be a vital asset in protecting humanity from the monstrous "Angels" that frequently threaten it, and is surprisingly emotionally mature for his age. However, the adults around him (especially his father, Gennady) frequently push him too far, especially considering his generally noncombative and pacifistic nature. There is much interpersonal drama and much singing about it, with a very vocally trained cast. After several seasons of slow buildup, the show was forced to suddenly rush to its ending in only a few (infamous) episodes after an arc where Henry had a romance with an Angel in male human form. Henry Ichor The Movie and an ensuing miniseries, End Of Henry Ichor, helped bring the show to a more thematically satisfying conclusion.
Although he has played a creative or consultant role in many animated projects, Alex Hirsch is best known for the one he was actually the showrunner for, Disney Channel's smash hit Sunnydale. Focusing on a small California town constantly plagued by supernatural threats, Sunnydale generally followed a simple monster-of-the-week format, but kept audiences on the hook with teases at a deeper underlying mystery. The show almost didn't get a season two, as Hirsch found working with Disney very tiring, but he was eventually persuaded; season two ran through the rest of Hirsch's ideas at a faster pace, and concluded the show with the leads graduating from Sunnydale High.
For a brief historical moment, Daron Nefcy's show, Ender vs. the Space Bug Army, looked like it would become the successor to Sunnydale, keeping Disney Television Animation prestigious after Sunnydale ended. However, though Ender drew in a big crowd, and lasted almost twice as long as Sunnydale, it was not ultimately as well-received. EvtSBA is a children's space opera, wearing its Starship Troopers (Joss Whedon) inspiration on its sleeve, but also clearly copying some (superficial) notes from Philip Pullman. Set in a future where mankind has come into violent conflict with bug-like aliens, the show follows unbearably smug boy supergenius Ender as he is sent to military school to prepare for interstellar warfare. The show has an extremely cutesy and hyperactive tone; typical filler episodes include the one (generally taken as meta about fandom drama) in which Ender's siblings' futuristic internet arguments prove instrumental to the survival of the human race. Later seasons get a bit more serious, but focus heavily on shipping. The show is infamous for its ending, in which Ender, for his final exam, destroys the Formics' home planet and releases a psychic signal that eradicates the Formic race. Although the show explicitly notes that this includes many individual Formics who we have previously known as sympathetic characters, it is nonetheless played as a happy ending in which a hostile colonial power is defeated. Ender has ended the war; he has beaten the Space Bug Army.
"Meugh-Neigh. 'Meugh' like the cat, 'neigh' like the horse." "Does it mean something?" "No answer; none at all."
Orson Scott Card is an extremely prolific author of speculative fiction. Although it isn't as close to his heart as the Steel Gear series, in which he got to flex his military sci-fi muscles and allegorically retell stories from his faith, he is undoubtedly best known for Ishtar's Curse. Initially a short story and later expanded into a full novel, the plot concerns young Princess Ishtar, or Star, heir to the heathen fairy kingdom of Meugh-Neigh. (In later novels, she changes her name to Bethlehem Diaz, or Beth.) Spoiled and destructive but magically talented, Star is sent to twentieth century Earth so she can develop the wits and the strength of character to be a viable wartime leader for her people - or at least so she can be kept out of the way. After several years of personal growth and magical misadventures with companions she met on Earth, a more grounded Star devises a spell to erase the magic that makes up the bodies of most of her throne's enemies. This plan works, and merges Meugh-Neigh into the Earth as a small and ordinary European country. However, though her subjects are eager to celebrate her for this, Star is devastated when she realizes that she has killed trillions of innocent spirits, and, seeking to atone, she takes on the title of Speaker for the Dead (also the title of the book's first sequel). Although it's frequently ranked highly in lists of fantasy novels of the twentieth century, Ishtar's Curse has received some harsh criticism, with the standard line being that Star is an idealized fantasy of a repentant Hitler figure, and that the text presents excessive justifications for her actions. The story has also been called a reactionary response to Wilde's The Little Mermaid. After more than twenty years, a film adaptation of Ishtar's Curse was released in 2009, starring Dakota Fanning, to mixed reviews. The box office took a further hit due to a boycott campaign, after Card's views on homosexuality (and, relatedly, his membership in the LDS Church) became widely known. In the end, it lost the studio a lot of money.
Hideaki Anno is best known for the classic smash hit anime he made for Studio Gainax, Einstein Goliath Nestorian, a psychologically intense deconstruction of martial arts shonen like Yoshiyuki Tomino's Dragon Ball. Einstein Goliath Nestorian concerns a mystery man known only as Saitama, who finds that he has become dissatisfied with life and alienated from the world after only three years of training have enabled him to easily surpass any physical challenge. The original series is known for its sudden, surreal, and clearly budget-driven ending, although this was quickly alleviated with a similarly surreal but more definitive finale movie. Although many Western anime fans often think of Einstein Goliath Nestorian as pretentious and ultra niche, it was actually a huge mainstream hit in Japan, with a colossal franchise of adaptations, merch, and spinoffs (notably including a series of Retrain films, which began as extremely close shot-for-shot remakes of the original series but wound up spiraling into a very different updated timeline).
Previously most noteworthy for his 2003 visual novel Oreimo, Gen Urobuchi was tapped by Shaft for their extremely successful and acclaimed anime Ohayou Hana!, hailed as a deceptively dark deconstruction of the teen idol genre. The plot concerns a girl, Saionji Mayuri, who leads a double life, being of little note at school, out of costume, but spending much of her time as #1 idol Hana. Her mental stability begins to deteriorate as she realizes that the adults in her life - especially her father, himself a former idol - have groomed her to serve as a drugged and hypnotized propaganda mouthpiece for a shadowy conspiracy. She winds up in the worst of both worlds as her ensuing breakdown, and her handlers' response to it, destroys both of her lives and brings ruin to those she cares about. In addition to the popularity of the actual anime, many of its songs became decontextualized J-Pop hits. The idol anime genre would then receive a glut of edgy lesser imitators, like Love Live: School Idol Project, Cheetah Girls, and magical girl fusion Symphogear. Although the original Ohayou Hana! was a self-contained twelve-episode story, it received a sequel movie shortly thereafter, Ohayou Hana! Rebel!, which ended on a cliffhanger that has still not been resolved over a decade later. The upcoming Ohayou Hana! MK Ultra! is expected to get things back on track. An abridged series originating on 4chan, focusing on cropped screencaps from Ohayou Hana!, called the title character "Miss Ohio", producing the memetic tagline "being Ohio is suffering".

Zack Snyder first came up with the idea for Madoka around 2000, a long time before he'd actually get to make it; he put the project on hold in 2006 to make his adaptation of Worm Turns. He developed the idea with his wife Deborah and a cowriter, Steve Shibuya. Inspired by the Disney Princess phenomenon, as well as Naoko Takeuchi's Pretty Cure (one of the few anime that had already become a hit in the States), Snyder wanted to tell a coherent story about fights between magical girls who could make anything happen, who could make any fantastical world or visual appear. In Snyder's film, we follow Madoka Kaname, a teenager attending a Catholic school in Los Angeles. Madoka and her friends are approached by a strange young woman who goes only by "Mommy", and her animal companion (a CGI-ed up squirrel-cat thing), QB. They offer to make the teens into "magical girls", granting them one wish each in exchange for a life devoted to spiritual warfare. (Another mysterious new girl, Lilly, urges them not to take the deal in the strongest possible terms.) This turns out to be a scam; QB is pitting the magical girls against one another for his own reasons, and in the end, every magical girl and her wish gets corrupted. Despite much of the film's plot being a horrific bloodbath - the MPAA demanded a lot of cuts to get it down to a PG-13 rating - there is a happy ending; Madoka finally makes her own wish and uses it to topple QB's whole system. Madoka isn't often discussed nowadays but it was a major discourse bomb when it came out in 2010, alternately being called misogynistic Orientalist trash and a subversive feminist masterpiece. Snyder, for his part, often notes that QB is intended as an allegory for exploitative forces within the entertainment industry that treat young women as disposable resources with an expiration date; this is already clear to anyone who's watched the film, which is not exactly subtle in its symbolism. He also explains that the film sexualizes the girls in an effort to shame the audience, to get people to understand that they are objectifying the characters in the same way that QB does. The soundtrack's got a really cool ethereal cover of Nine Inch Nails' King Nothing on it, which is probably the most remembered part of the film today.
Selena Gomez became a star by playing Violet Parr on Disney Channel's superhero sitcom The Incredibles. While the show was initially a very throwaway villain-of-the-week affair whose leads had to keep their powers hidden from the public and their caped escapades secret from the government for self-explanatory comes-with-the-genre reasons, it would eventually unfold that the show was set in something of an X-Men-style dystopia where superheroism had been outlawed and supers oppressed by the government as a potential societal fifth column.
Brad Bird directed one of Pixar's most celebrated films, Wizards of Waverly Place; it was Pixar's first film with a predominantly human cast. Disney was hungry for a fantasy property after losing a bidding war for the Luz Noceda rights. It had strong populist anti-eugenic themes, with an elaborate wizarding hierarchy of antagonists who seek to remove the Russo family's magic as part of an effort to curb wizard overpopulation. The sequel came more than a decade later, and wasn't nearly as good.
In addition to Worm Turns, Alan Moore is notable for the heavily metafictional comic Pagemaster, about a boy, Richard, who finds a magical library that contains all stories that have ever been or could ever be told; he becomes lost and imperiled in assorted pieces of historically noteworthy literature (initially ones in the public domain, though later volumes would start using legally safe serial-numbers-filed-off versions of modern stories). The 2003 film, in which Sean Connery played the librarian in one of his last film roles, is widely regarded as a terrible, deeply-toned-down adaptation that didn't grasp the tone or themes of the original story at all; it only covered the first half of the first volume, in which Richard meets "genre spirits" who wish to sort all stories into rigid categories. In a later volume, Pagemaster Millennium, an aged Richard Tyler, who has since taken on the mantle of librarian himself, meets a teenage girl, heavily implied to be Luz Noceda, who has also become lost in the library. She has become corrupted by an eldritch book, or "Necronomicon", written by "the Wrong Author", heavily implied to be the devil (and/or Hugo Astley, an Aleister Crowley caricature from W. Somerset Maugham's The Winged Bull). Flushed with demonic power and enraged by what she's become, a monstrous Luz tears through the library in a blaze of hellfire, seeking to destroy all of literature and the world. It is only through the intervention of the Fat Controller - heavily implied to be God - that Luz is defeated; he mercifully erases her by hitting her with a train, and laments what she became.

. . .
Amin is a student from Scarabia who is always accompanying Kalim and Jamil. His distant attitude makes him strange in the eyes of many.
The mysterious and distant boy actually hides a secret: He she's a woman and Amin isn't even her real name. (She isn't trans. In the universe of my ocs NRC remains a school just for boys, but the reason for adopting a male identity comes from her backstory)
Amin is a person who always has a closed or tired face. Most of the time, Amin is stuck in his thoughts instead of interacting with others.
When Amin tries to start a conversation with someone he doesn't know, 99% of the time the conversation can turn into something really awkward or quite edgy(depends on the mood lol)
Although he isn't very good at talking and is a little shy/embarrassed, Amin is not afraid to show his thoughts and fight for them. This attitude of his makes him get into several fights, which has earned him a reputation as a troublemaker.
Despite acting this way and having a short temper, Amin hates delinquents who break the rules. Whenever he can, Amin punishes anyone he considers a deliquent to 'save' them
With people close to him, Amin reveals himself to be a courageous, agitated, stubborn, playful, teasing and loyal person. But of course, that's not how he feels at all.
In fact, Amin is a pessimist and a person who has struggled with grief for a long time. He sees himself as an impostor who doesn't deserve happiness and has no reason to live other than to continue someone else's legacy. Amin constantly blames himself for the past and has a huge inferiority complex, but he refuses to demonstrate his weakness and the truth to others.
Tumblr media
FACTS
Amin is twisted from the guards from Aladdin
He has incredible swordsmanship
Despite his small appearance, Amin is strong and agile
He knows parkour
Amin has combat magic that is far advanced compared to other freshmen, however his general magic (like levitating things, cleaning magic, coloring magic, etc.) IS REALLY BAD
By having such poor magic and almost failing many classes, Amin makes up for his lack of skill in written or physical activities (or combat)
Amin is banned from Mostro lounge
The headband he wears is a gift from Kalim
APPEARANCE
Tumblr media
Amin has short, dark hair with bangs. His skin is dark and his eyes are dark brown
He always wears clothes much larger than his size and always wears a headband
Most of the time, he wears bandages around his hands that go up to his elbow.
. . .
Note: Since Aladdin is a racist film, I tried to do some research to avoid something that would be hurtful to people from the Middle East. If you know the Middle East well and noticed that there is something wrong with this post, please let me know and I will review it immediately, thank you!

OpenTama & TamaLib Open Source Tamagotchi Platform
Tumblr media
The Tamagotchi Original might already be back on shelves for quite some time already, but that hasn’t stopped some fans from transplanting the programming of the Tamagotchi Original into modern hardware. A small group of enthusiasts have been reviewing ROM dumps of the original hardware ever since they began floating around the internet a couple of years ago, even without the real thing they could run these virtual pets in an emulator.
The software platform is JC’s platform named TamaLib, an open source emulator that allows the Tamagotchi ROM to run on a variety of modern hardware platforms. OpenTama is not limited to TamaLib software, open-source general-purpose platform. OpenTama’s GitHub page its the way to go if you would like to get your hands on the software.
youtube
Although the project pictured above features the reimplementation of the original Tamagotchi, with an egg-sized PCB sporting an STM32 microcontroller driving an LCD display, powered by a 100 mAH battery that can be recharged through USC-C, love that! The hardware project is named OpenTama, which is a portable hardware platform that runs an emulated version of the original Tamagotchi P1 software. Be sure to check out the full article here!

A few weeks ago I found a good deal on some That '70s Show scripts, and I impulsively bought them!
Unsurprisingly, the show follows the script pretty much to a tee - but there are a few exceptions where the actor delivers the line differently in the episode, or the scene/dialogue is cut from the episode altogether. That is the stuff I wanted to see, and now I'll share it with you all!
Tumblr media
First up: S2xE20 "Kiss of Death" (Note that it is episode 219 on the script 👀... production order vs airing order)
Tumblr media
The first deviation is in the scene where Eric brings Donna the replacement kitten (*lol*). From the end of the scene:
Tumblr media
(In the episode, it cuts off after Midge says "What did he ever do to you?" This adds some new information: The Pinciottis did not keep the kitten Eric brought for Donna. Makes sense. Donna never mentions a pet/cat again after this episode.)
Eric and Kelso have a cut scene:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(In the show, it cuts off after Eric says/yells "I know!" This adds some new information as well - the idea to be honest with Jackie and apologize came from Eric.)
Another difference: Fez worries about being allowed back in the basement after he inadvertently makes an inappropriate comment to Kitty when he wakes up from his surgery:
Tumblr media
And finally, Midge's parting comment about the Mr. Bonker's Memorial Slideshow (😂):
Tumblr media
Everything else was virtually identical. 😊
I do wonder about why these bits were cut. I would have liked to see them all! Was it because the episode was too long/for runtime? Or were there other reasons?
Stay tuned for more That '70s Show original script reviews with me, your host, @thatseventiesbitch 😀
Other Scripts I've Posted:
S2xE22 "Jackie Moves On" S2xE26 "Moon Over Point Place" S5xE21 "Trampled Under Foot" S7xE8 "Angie"

Kuruntote Review
The very first Tamagotchi Kuruntote (たまごっち くるんとーと) series was released the fourth week of July 2023 in Gashapon capsule vending machines here in Japan, and on August 1, I went for it! 500 yen per capsule is a bit expensive, but I tried twice...and ended up with two of the same design. So it goes.
Tumblr media
There's 3 designs total, but the good news is I got the one I wanted. It's rolled in there tight!
Tumblr media
Look at the front!
Tumblr media
Look at the back!
I'm really loving the vivid colors. The fabric is a bit thin but feels sturdy enough. You may be able to see the packaging for my breakfast in there if you look close enough...
It's just about the size of your standard plastic shopping bag, so it's better suited for a quick trip to the corner store as opposed to hardcore grocery shopping.
You may see a bit of tissue paper sticking out of the bag...this thing was rolled in no less than 3 squares of white tissue paper, most likely to keep the printed fabric from sticking to itself in the intense heat we've been having. As some Gashapon dispensers are stored outside, the contents have to survive the elements, so I get the addition...but I felt like a hack magician at the cash register as I pulled sheet after sheet out of the capsule when I just wanted to bag my snacks...
Tumblr media
Anyway, on the inside it's got a cute little pocket! What's it for?
Well, the "Kurun" in the product name suggests that the bag can be rolled up and stored away! (We love a reusable shopping bag, especially since they charge for plastic bags just about anywhere you go in Japan.) Well I'm pleased to report it lives up to the name!
You simply flip the bag inside out, fold the sides in hot dog-style, then rolllll and pop it in the pocket.
Tumblr media
Once folded, the size is nice and small - it fits in the back pocket of my skinny jeans as well as my tiny purse.
Tumblr media
I'll just show a P1 for scale though. (My butt doesn't belong on this blog.)
I'm pleased to report that this bag further supports the Tamagotchi lifestyle in that there's various ways to integrate your virtual pets!
First is to hang one on the handle.
Tumblr media
Second is to use the inner pocket to tuck away your little digital friend. It holds everything from the Nanos up to the Meets/On size-wise...but you're out of luck with the Pix.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Classic 👍 Meets/On 👍 Pix 😬
(Come to think of it I bet the coin purse from WEGO would go really well with this...)
Anyway, cute bag! Practical item! I'm definitely tucking one in my work backpack. Let's see how long it lasts?

how did you get into digimon, mom?
it's hard to remember exactly but im pretty sure it was because i was so into tamagotchi as a kid and most of what i did online was endlessly browse people's personal virtual pet websites and absorb as much information as possible. i was aware of the digimon anime and thought it was pretty interesting with all the odd critters but it wasn't until i found out there were virtual pets you could connect and battle with that i got much more into the whole thing. unfortunately this was during the tamagotchi connection era so there weren't really any good options for digimon vpets in the states, and if there was i still might have opted for tamagotchi because ive always preferred cute things.
i think my deeper love for the series really crystalised probably like. 7-10 years ago? when i decided to watch as many of the anime series as i could stomach. i ended up getting all the way up to frontier and getting kinda burnt out but at that point i actually had some of the classic vpets and was much more invested in those. i consider the vpets to be the quintessential digimon experience and have some deeper, potentially divisive opinions on what i consider uh. proper digimon? i guess? which is why im still debating whether or not to digimon reviews.
anyway i could go on but basically my love for digimon is a result of my love for virtual pets in general. i wish i still had my vintage collection but unfortunately i had to sell them a while back when i needed money i do have a bunch of the modern stuff but one of the only remaining pieces is this special edition digimon wonderswan package. here you go!
