Can we have some actually just weird ass critters, not the ones that are pretty in a weird way i want to see some real repulsing fellers, the kind of animals that you look at and all you can call them is "unfortunate" looking.

I love all animals but something about the ones where you can't quite tell if they have a disease or if they're just like that makes me really happy.

Ok so for me a lot of marine worms fit this description.

See the thing is that if I described the protagonist of Worm as "What if Rorschach was a Utilitarian instead of an Objectivist and also a teenaged girl," basically no part of that would be strictly accurate except for the teenaged girl part. But it would on some other level be incredibly accurate, and a funny way to trick Watchmen fans into reading Worm

I’m still 100% convinced that the vicious but protective Rachel befriending a vet-in-training named Cassie was either an entirely deliberate Animorphs reference, or a placeholder name by Wildbow he never ended up changing.

If I had a nickel for every series I've read that featured an extremely dangerous one-armed girl named Taylor who has a hard time telling where she ends and the alien parasite attached to her brain begins, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

IIRC, canon!Victoria picked the "Antares" name in part because it means "opposed to Ares," representing her rejection of her idealistic but violent Glory Girl identity.

So Mars feels more like a name he'd pick as a teenager and regret as an adult.

anyway in the world where Vic Mars transitioned in between Worm and Ward, he has a Tony Hawk thing. Also to elaborate on Mars as a name. It's a cute Antares reference, and also i feel like he's the type of tboy to go for a sorta artsy off-beat name
