i guess i find the current discourse on labels kinda pointless because, ultimately, if a human doesn’t want to believe you are what you say you are as a non-human, no amount of scientific evidence will convince them.
throwing pshifters/holotheres/physical non-humans/CLCZ/folks with delusions/etc under the bus doesn’t convince humans that you, one of the “normal” and “sane” nonhumans, are for real. that YOUR identity is legit but the “others” aren’t.
if they don’t want to believe you, they won’t. trying to make yourself palatable to humans who don’t want to believe is pointless.
the humans will still think you’re joking, at best. more likely, they’ll still think you’re just like us “crazy” ones. you don’t earn brownie points for being “logical”.
ive seen - and personally experienced - similar issues with other facets of identity when i tried to explain my gender as a trans man to someone. it didn’t matter how much scientific evidence of trans identity i showed him, it didn’t matter how many research articles i found, it didn’t matter in what ways or shapes or forms i tried to prove it was a real thing; he had already made up his mind that it wasn’t real, science be damned. science doesn’t matter to someone who doesn’t want it to matter.
likewise, a human who doesn’t think being non-human in a body that looks human is real won’t believe you, even if you throw the “crazies” onto the pyre.
whether someone can prove they are what they claim on a scientific level is, ultimately, irrelevant. because even if we tried, even if we could, even if we WANTED to, humans wouldn’t believe it if they didn’t want to believe it.
don’t sacrifice part of the community for the sake of human tastes and ideals on what is and isn’t real. they don’t live it. they don’t know.
#walk and talk#i guess I kinda just wanted to make my stance abundantly clear#i ID as physically not human#I’ve never ID’d as human even before i understood what being nonhuman was#even as a CHILD I didn’t think I was human okay#my childhood answer to ‘what do you want to be when you grow up?’ was A DOG#I’ve NEVER been human#transspecies#physically nonhuman#discourse

Thanks for the tag, @imperiumwifestrikesagain !
<<< Reblog what you did/will do today, and what you are looking forward to tomorrow!! >>>
I started the day by going to church with my family. It was a great meeting. I particularly love singing and playing the piano at church.
Then I made lunch for the family and left everyone else home to play while I went back to the hospital. I haven’t had any deliveries today, but I had to check on the mamas I delivered yesterday.
Once I got back home, I took a walk for 30 minutes around my neighborhood while I talked to my sister on the phone.
Then the kids and I tidied up the house and played several rounds of Racko.
Since the weather is nice, I shooed the kids outside after that while I made dinner.
Now that the kitchen is clean (post dinner), I’m taking an hour break to get some writing and editing done.
Then we’ll have a double chocolate cake I made earlier for dessert.
Then I’ll put the kids to bed and write some more as long as I don’t get called back to the hospital again.
That’s a pretty standard Sunday at our house.
Tomorrow the kids all go to school, and I have the day off. So I’ll be doing 7-10 loads of laundry, gardening, shopping, meal prepping, and homework helping, which is a standard Monday at our house. Plus I’m going to be attending an online workshop on parenting kids with ADHD. If I’m lucky I’ll find some time to write, too.
I don’t know if anyone finds this interesting, but if you want to share, please do!

**Edited to add. I jinxed myself! Within an hour of posting this I got called in to deliver a baby. Haha.**

Is Walk and Talk Therapy Right for You? Exploring the Benefits for Men’s Mental Health
In recent years, there has been a growing awareness of the importance of men’s mental health. As more men in Cornwall and across the UK seek counselling, walk and talk therapy has emerged as an appealing alternative to traditional talk therapy settings. This unique approach, which takes therapy sessions outdoors, is helping break down the barriers that have often kept men from seeking the support they need.

Why Men Often Avoid Traditional Therapy
Despite changing attitudes, many men still find it difficult to ask for help when struggling with emotional or psychological challenges. Cultural expectations around masculinity — such as needing to appear strong, stoic, or self-reliant — can make it harder for men to open up in a conventional therapy setting. Sitting across from a therapist in a small room can feel uncomfortable or even intimidating.
Walk and talk therapy in Cornwall changes that dynamic. By taking therapy outdoors, it removes some of the formality and intensity of face-to-face conversations, making it easier for men to relax, open up, and speak freely.
Walking and Talking Side by Side
One of the key benefits of walk and talk therapy is the “shoulder-to-shoulder” approach. Rather than facing a therapist head-on, men can walk side by side through a park, along the coast, or in the countryside. This physical alignment can feel more comfortable and less confrontational, encouraging natural conversation.
Movement also helps reduce the pressure of eye contact, making it easier to express thoughts that may feel vulnerable or difficult. For men who feel overwhelmed by traditional therapy environments, walk and talk sessions offer a more approachable and less clinical alternative.
The Mental Health Benefits of Nature and Movement
Walking outdoors has proven therapeutic benefits for mental health. Studies show that walking in natural environments helps reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression, regulate stress levels, and improve overall emotional wellbeing.
In Cornwall, the access to open, green spaces and coastal walking routes makes it an ideal location for walk and talk therapy. The calming effects of nature, combined with light physical activity and professional support, create an ideal setting for mental wellness.
Tailored Support for Men’s Specific Needs
Walk and talk therapy can address a range of issues commonly faced by men, including:
Work-related stress and burnout
Relationship difficulties
Anger management
Low self-esteem
Anxiety and depression
Grief and loss
Identity and life transitions
Therapists who offer this approach are sensitive to the unique challenges men may experience and tailor their sessions accordingly. The outdoor setting becomes a space not only for talking but also for thinking, breathing, and healing.
Overcoming the Stigma Around Mental Health
For many men, even acknowledging the need for help can be a significant step. Walk and talk therapy offers a discreet and natural entry point into mental health support. There is less stigma attached to going for a walk than attending a therapy session, and many find it easier to commit to regular support in this format.
This approach normalises therapy as a part of daily life, rather than something unusual or shameful. It empowers men to take charge of their mental health in a proactive and practical way.
Is Walk and Talk Therapy Right for You?
If you:
Prefer informal environments
Enjoy being outdoors
Feel uncomfortable in traditional therapy rooms
Value physical activity as part of mental health
Want to explore counselling at your own pace
… then walk and talk therapy may be an excellent choice.
It’s also well suited for men who spend long hours indoors or in front of a screen, as it provides a much-needed break and a change of scenery.
Getting Started in Cornwall
Past 2 Present Counselling & Psychotherapy in Cornwall offers walk and talk therapy tailored to individual preferences and schedules. The process starts with an initial consultation to ensure it’s the right fit and to plan sessions based on your goals and comfort level.
Whether you’re new to therapy or returning after a break, this approach offers a supportive, non-judgemental way to take care of your mental health.

Three days of standby.
One dramatic flight to Istanbul.
Two days of silence, cancelled flights, and a lot of lukewarm tea.
This episode was filmed in my office, kitchen, garden... and walking Todd — because sometimes, waiting is the story. It's about pressure, purpose, doing nothing, and still somehow being exhausted. With a little help from Slavoj Žižek.
Would love to know what your version of “between departures” is.

testosterone isn’t just great for gender affirmation (though that is also excellent!) but also for species vibes
the deeper, slightly rough (growly) voice sounds more natural to my ears, and the darker, denser body hair is one of my favorite parts so far. it looks so much more right than the old pale peach fuzz i used to have. im hoping some grows in on my hands/knuckles eventually, but im pleased with how far it’s come already in only six months!

when I say “have hope”, I don’t mean it in the soft “uwu evewything wiw be okay 🌸uwu” way
I mean take hope by the throat with your teeth and don’t let go. I mean hold it as a weapon in your hands to drive back the enemy as Set does. I mean hold it close to your heart as a shield, keep it at your back as your pillar, use it to sharpen your teeth and claws that they may match Mafdet’s in ferocity. Have hope that burns as hot as Sekhmet’s rage.
And yes, have hope too as Anubis’ warm embrace. Have hope as renewing as Nefertem, as loving as Hathor. These too are important.
Hope is a weapon and a shield. It is the warm bed and the burning torch. Have both forms.
Not to quote a damn video game, but the point still rings true: “for those we have lost, and those we may yet save”.

"To sit and do nothing is seen as a waste of time. But that ignores the fact that when we’re doing nothing we’re often thinking quite hard. What happens to all those difficult or untamed half-thoughts that start to form in the milliseconds before we dig into our pockets and pull out our phones again?"
then invite someone for a walk. it’s easier to walk and talk, less intense than the coffee shop.
walking and talking, be human, not part of the corporate machine!
oh yeah, you gotta listen really carefully or it’s a waste of time.

My biggest one is that I forget my (proper) ears aren’t visible to everyone, so they can’t read my “totally obvious” body language (because they can’t SEE it ya dumb hyena)
ALTERHUMANS I AM SUMMONING YOU
let's start a chain
everyone reblog with your alterhuman toxic trait
mine is that I forget that I'm not actually the size of a cat, which usually ends up with me stuck in a box
