All Grown Up
Tumblr media
Pairings: MJ x reader, WandaNat x reader (parent/child)
Word count: 1,398
Warnings: kissing, making out, getting caught, overprotective!Nat, slight humor, think that’s all!
I don’t really know MJ’s age so I didn’t feel comfortable writing smut for her, but I hope this is good enough!
No one is permitted to steal, copy, or reblog my work as their own!!
“Y/N? Y/N, honey, we’re home!” The two women were confused when receiving no answer from their child. They frowned, looking at each other before shrugging, assuming you were napping or just didn’t hear them. They went to the kitchen, placing down the few bags of groceries and unpacking the food.
Meanwhile, you were in your room, not napping, but instead cuddled up close to your girlfriend with some small music playing in the background. Her fingers ran through your hair and you smiled with pure joy, staring up at her beautiful face.
“What’s on your mind?” You asked out of the blue, breaking the small silence falling over you two. She suddenly broke out of her small trance, giving you a reassuring look before bringing her eyes back to the ceiling.
“Nothing. Just thinking about how lucky I am to have you.”
“Such a flirt.” You rolled your eyes playfully, earning a small chuckle from her.
“I’m serious, baby, I can’t believe I pulled you.” You gave her a look of faux offense.
“Excuse me, you did not ‘pull’ me, you asked me out and I thought I’d say yes.”
“Same thing.” The same comfortable silence fell between you two until she turned to stare at you, only to find your eyes still on hers. She gently grasped your chin, licking her lips and staring at yours before leaning in and pressing her mouth against yours. You sighed into the kiss, your body coming to a full relaxation as your originally tense muscles rested.
She maneuvered her body to lie on her side, now being able to wrap her arm around your waist. She rubbed up and down your back, landing on your ass and giving a small squeeze. You pulled away as a yelp left you, only to feel her pulling you back onto her.
“God, you’re so perfect.” She mumbled against your lips. Your legs tangled up together as she laid on top of your fragile body.
“You continue cooking, I’ll go get her.” Wanda nodded and kissed her wife’s cheek before she went up the stairs, her eyes traveling to her tight jeans that showed off more than needed.
When Nat finally reached the top of the steps and stood in front of your door, she heard soft sounds of music playing and assumed you were relaxing or sleeping. So, she didn’t bother to spend more than a quick second knocking. After all, you were her child, she’s seen everything with you. Except this.
“Swee- Oh my God!” She quickly shut the door, her eyes kept shut as she was too afraid to open them and risk seeing the same sight again, even if she was on the other side of the room. She quickly found her way back to the steps and into the kitchen where her wife stared at her oddly.
“Everything okay?”
“Yeah! Yeah, everything’s fine.” She sat at the table, hands in her lap as her leg bounced nervously.
“Did you walk in on them changing again? I told you to start knock-”
“Our child’s gay.” Wanda whipped her head around, gazing at the woman who looked like she had just seen a porno for the first time. It’s not like she had walked in on you two having sex, but she didn’t exactly like the thought of her child making out with someone in their bed.
“There was another girl in their bed, and they were kissing..passionately.” Nat’s awkwardness made Wanda want to laugh, and she did. Nat looked at her like she had just killed her puppy, and while Wanda wasn’t facing her, she could already see the exact face she was making.
“Relax, it’s not like you walked in on them having an orgy or anything. And besides, who cares if they’re gay? They have two moms after all.”
“I don’t care if they’re gay, I care about the girl who was on top of my own child!” She stated, starting to bite her nails as she thought of the worst possible scenarios. “What if I hadn’t stopped it when I did? What if my baby lost her-”
“Sweetheart, you’re overthinking again.” Nat let out a deep sigh before Wanda continued calmly, “If Y/N wanted to come to us, they would’ve. Maybe they just weren’t ready yet.”
“Why wouldn’t they be ready? I mean, we’re supportive, right? Oh, God, what if they think they can’t come to us with this stuff? What if we scared them away with all of our dating talks?” Wanda placed the spaghetti in four bowls. Usually, it would just be three, but seeming as you had a guest, she made extra.
“I mean, you did tell them they’re not allowed to date until you’re at least fifty.” The reminder made Nat roll her eyes and quickly chomp down on the food her wife made in nervousness.
“Just act normal, when they’re ready to talk to us, they will. I promise. You’re not a bad mom, there are just some things you don’t exactly want to tell your parents.” She placed her hand on top of Nat’s and she nodded, trying to relax herself when she heard footsteps coming down the stairs.
“H-hey, mom. Hey, momma.” You exclaimed, expecting your momma to be giving you the death glare right about now. But she was looking right past you, trying to get a better look at the girl standing fearfully behind you. You moved aside, letting her be seen as she stuttered out a greeting just like you. You and she both had made plans on how you’d tell your parents, but one of them catching you two kissing wasn’t one of them.
“Ah, hello, sweetheart! It is lovely to meet you.” Wanda shook the younger girl's hand as she felt the sweat on it. MJ was clearly nervous, but your mom quickly helped ease those fears.
“Uh, hi, Mrs. Romanoff. It’s lovely to meet you as well.” She grabbed the two bowls on the counter and handed them to you both.
“One rule, kiddo, no eating in your room. You’ll have to eat with us.” She was stern yet soft with your girlfriend, but your momma still hadn’t made herself known.
“Excuse my wife, she’s a bit shy with people.” MJ chuckled, trying to make amends with the other Mrs. Romanoff.
“Hey, Miss. It’s nice to meet you.” She offered her hands to shake, and Nat raised a brow at the gesture. Wanda cleared her throat in warning, giving the redhead a warning glare that had Nat easing up.
“Sup, kid.” Your girlfriend was forced to sit next to you and her while she didn’t keep her darkened eyes off of her the entire time.
“So, what are your intentions with my kid?” She crossed her arms, trying to get the muscles under her black shirt to show off to make the college student fear her even more.
“Momma!”
“What? I’m just wondering if this girl’s right for you.” You shook your head and rested it in your hands.
“Forget her question, I want to know how you two met.”
“Uh-”
“No, answer my question. What are your intentions with Y/N?”
“Well-”
“Ignore her. Answer my question first, sweetie.”
“Okay! We’ll be heading upstairs now. Thank you for the food, Mom, love you guys.” You quickly dragged your girlfriend out of the room and back up to yours, rushing to close the door until you heard a soft shout from downstairs,
“Door open at least six inches! I will measure!”
“Don’t listen to her!” You both chuckled at your parent's actions, leaving the door cracked open just a bit and returning to the comfort of your bed. You reached for the remote and turned on the show you two had been binging for a week now.
While you had thought she was joking, Nat did in fact bring a measuring tape to the door and scolded you both when it only met half of her request. Wanda had pulled her out of the room and shut the door for you to have some privacy. MJ was laughing quietly as she listened to the bickering between your parents, turning to you as she did earlier and muttering,
“As much as I love you, your moms are so much cooler.”
“I will get my mom to beat your ass if you don’t shut up.”
“Yes, ma’am.”

Kid Y/N feels under the weather, what is gonna happen? ft Wanda and Natasha
Rain pelted against the large windows of the Avengers compound, a symphony of nature's melancholy to accompany the drama unfolding within. Y/N, a young child with an inclination for mischief, which made her seem like Loki's daughter sometimes (she may be...), and two extraordinary guardians: Natasha Romanoff and Wanda Maximoff, found herself feeling under the weather. The cold had crept into her small frame, bringing with it a storm of sneezes and sniffles.
In the heart of the Avengers' home, the living room was a battleground. Y/N lay on the couch, surrounded by a fortress of plush toys. The television played some animated movie, forgotten in the background. Natasha was still donned in her Black Widow uniform after returning from a mission with Wanda, her fiery red hair cascading in waves, was the epitome of calm. She knelt beside the couch, worry etching lines on her face as she touched Y/N's forehead with the back of her hand.
Y/N - Mama, I don't wanna take those yucky medicines!
Whined the little girl as her raspy voice showed her clear discomfort.
Wanda, also in her Scarlet Witch attire, floated into the room with a tray of steaming soup and a small bottle of medicine. Her expressive eyes softened as they met Y/N's defiant gaze.
Wanda - Sweetheart, it'll make you feel better. Just a spoonful, okay? *frowns*
The girl's eyes narrowed and a pout formed on her lips.
Y/N - No! It tastes icky.
Natasha sighed, her stern look softened by a smile.
Natasha - Come on, kiddo. You'll be back to causing chaos in no time.
Y/N's eyes welled up, a mixture of exhaustion and frustration.
Y/N - I don't wanna be sick, Mommy.
Natasha's heart melted at the word. Y/N had walked into her and Wanda's life like a burst of sunshine, and now, seeing her curled up with illness, it felt like the sun had been clouded over.
Natasha exchanged a glance with Wanda, who was now floating in the air, her green eyes filled with concern.
Wanda - We just want you to feel better, little one. *soft voice with a motherly smile*
But Y/N was having none of it. With a sudden burst of energy, she sat up, sending the plush toys scattering like leaves in the wind.
Y/N - I don't want the yucky medicine! I hate it!
Natasha's eyes met Wanda's, both sharing a knowing look. Parenting, even for two superheroes, had its challenges. But they were up for it. Wanda floated down to Y/N's eye level, a playful smile on her face.
Wanda - How about a deal, little rebel? Take the medicine, and Mama will read you a story. A magical one.
Y/N eyed Wanda suspiciously, her small brain working through the proposal.
Y/N - A really magical one? *head tilt*
Wanda nodded, her fingers conjuring a spark of Scarlet energy.
Wanda - The most magical story you've ever heard.
Y/N contemplated this for a moment before finally nodding with all the seriousness a child could muster.
Y/N - Okay, but no yucky medicine next time. *scrunches nose*
Natasha handed Wanda the medicine with a smirk.
Natasha - Of course, princesa.
Wanda poured the medicine into a small spoon, casting a glance at Natasha. Natasha nodded subtly, understanding the silent question. Wanda approached Y/N, who was still eyeing the spoon with scepticism.
Wanda - Open wide, little one. *cooing*.
Y/N opened her mouth reluctantly and Wanda administered the medicine. The kid grimaced at the taste, but she swallowed it down with a determined expression.
Natasha - Good job, honey!
Natasha praised, ruffling Y/N's hair.
Wanda - Now, for the magical story...
Wanda settled on the floor near Natasha with Y/N nestled between their chests.
As Wanda began weaving a tale of enchanted forests and talking animals, Y/N's eyes sparkled with wonder. The room echoed with Wanda's melodic voice, each word painting a vivid picture in the child's imagination. Natasha sat back, watching the scene unfold with a smile. The storm outside seemed to fade away, leaving only the warmth of the family huddled together.
As the story reached its climax, Y/N's eyelids grew heavy. The pair shared a glance, silently agreeing to transfer the dozing child to her cosy bed. Together, they lifted Y/N, who mumbled something about flying with Mama and Mommy in the magical forest.
In her room, surrounded by plush toys and soft blankets, Y/N slept peacefully. Natasha and Wanda lingered for a moment, marvelling at the small, slumbering figure. Parenthood was an adventure, one they embraced wholeheartedly.
As they tiptoed out of the room, Natasha began to whisper.
Natasha - We make a good team, don't we? *smirks*
Wanda nodded, her eyes reflecting the love and contentment they both felt.
Wanda - The best. *winks*
And with that, the two superheroes, mothers to a special little girl, ventured back into the living room. The storm outside had quieted, leaving behind the soft hum of family and the promise of many more magical stories to come.

Don’t blame me, love made me crazy
A few months ago, Wanda Maximoff would never have even dreamed of finding herself doing what she was about to do.
A few months ago, Wanda Maximoff felt like the happiest woman on earth.
A few months ago, Wanda Maximoff hadn’t yet fought Thanos, who hadn’t yet invaded the planet to carry out his plan of bringing balance to the universe.
A few months ago, Wanda Maximoff's family was still alive.
A few months ago, Wanda Maximoff had never felt sorrow as deep as she felt every day that she woke up without them.
A few months ago, Wanda Maximoff would not have done the things she had done- was about to do.
If it doesn’t, you ain’t doing it right
She looked down at her trembling hands that were firmly clamped around the silver picture frame.
She couldn’t help the sharp intake of breath that occurred every time she caught a glimpse of the photo protected inside.
The most beautiful moment captured in time.
After the Civil War where she lost against Tony, Vision had offered to keep an eye on her, he had not planned on falling deeply in love and then be on the run together.
Neither one of them expected the baby, but they treasured it nonetheless.
They treasured you.
Finally forcing her eyes fully down, she took in the sight.
You were ten years old in the picture- having inherited special abilities from your parents that included fast aging at will- and you were in midair, legs spread out in a sideways split. You had the largest and goofiest grin on your face as your hair flew in every which way and your hands spread out as far as you could reach them.
Vision was sitting on the couch you had jumped off of, looking up at you with a loving smile and playful glint in his eyes.
Wanda sat on the other side of the couch, head buried in her hands. But even that didn’t stop the small smile on her face from showing.
Only seconds before that was taken, she had begged you to sit still and take a nice picture with her and your father, and you had promised. With her not knowing you had your fingers crossed behind your back, of course.
Lord, save me, my drug is my baby
Quickly reaching a hand up to rub away a stray tear that had begun wandering down her face, Wanda tried to collect herself once more.
Gently setting the frame down on the table, she took one last longing look at it before forcing her eyes away and ordering her body to move out of the room.
The Darkhold floated in the middle of the living room, just above the coffee table, black mist swirling around it like a second skin.
When she had been forced to free Westview and once again watch her family be ripped away from her, the book of the damned was the only thing keeping her semi grounded.
It was there to fill a dark void with something even darker, something that helped the pain go away momentarily. It gave her hope for a better life. One she could spend with her husband and daughter, without ever watching them be so cruelly taken away from her again.
Wanda didn’t know what she would have done without the book, where she would have ended up. But none of that mattered, because she had the book, and she was damn sure that she would be getting her family back.
I’ll be usin’ for the rest of my life
You had told her that you had been ready, that she didn’t need to worry about you.
“I am a Maximoff, after all.” You had told her when she tried to convince you not to come to Wakanda with her and her husband.
Vision had simply put a hand on her shoulder, giving her a look so full of love that Wanda’s heart would still swell to the day at the mere thought of it, “She is ready, darling. In fact, she was born for it.”
He had thrown a playful wink at you at the end of that sentence.
So with a defeated sigh, your mother gave in and gave you her permission to accompany her to Wakanda to try and save the world. Something that made fourteen year old you very happy.
I’ve been breakin’ hearts a long time
With the very last of her energy drained, Wanda had fallen to the ground in a heap, a gut wrenching sob escaping from the back of her throat as she looked over at Vision.
“Mom?” Your voice called from somewhere in the trees, to which the woman’s head snapped up, “Dad?”
As your form came into sight, Wanda quickly tried to scramble up, “No, no, no! Baby! Stay there!”
But you didn’t listen, eyebrows furrowing as you looked at her and came closer, “Mom? What’s wrong?”
Then your eyes landed on your father.
All of the color immediately drained from your face, “Dad?” You had called out hastily, rushing past your mom and over to his now gray body.
Once you got close enough to fully see everything, you let out a terrible shriek, hands flying up to cover your mouth as you took stumbling steps backwards.
Wanda was finally able to fully stand up, and she didn’t miss a single second rushing over and scooping your into a hug, cradling your head against her shoulder.
But you harshly pushed her away, “What happened?” You choked out, eyes already turning red from the tears running down your face.
A lump caught in her throat, “I had to-“ At that point she didn’t know if she was trying to convince herself or you.
“You did this?”
Those three words broke Wanda more then anything ever could.
The look of horror and betrayal and down right sacredness on your face was enough to haunt your mothers dreams forever.
“Baby, you don’t understand-“ She tried to take stumbling steps towards you.
But for every one that she took, you took two back.
“HOW COULD YOU!” You screamed, not caring if the entire world hear you, “HOW COULD YOU DO-“ You were cut off before you could finish your sentence.
Your eyes widened as you looked down at your hand, slowly disintegrating before your very eyes.
“No.” Your mother breathed out in horror, trying again to come closer to you.
“No!” You shrieked back, jerking your whole body backwards as if she had just kicked you in the ribs.
Even in your last moments you didn’t want to be near her.
She was forced to watch from a far as you- her only daughter and the person she loved most in the world- disappeared before her very eyes. And there was nothing she could do about it.
The universe seemed to want to punish her, letting her sink to her knees and she let out a deafening scream before crying harder than she ever had before.
It took two minuets for death to take her, too.
Two of the most agonizing moments of her life.
And toyin’ with them older guys
With a deep breath, Wanda blinked hard as if to rid herself of the memories. The memories that turned her life into a nightmare.
A muffled cry brought her eyes away from the book, and they slowly dragged over to the corner of the room, where a man sat with his hands and feet bound together, a rag over his mouth, and tears coming out of his eyes.
Just a day ago, he had been a simple mailman who had made the mistake of accidently peering through the window when he heard a loud noise and witnessing one of Wanda’s breakdowns as she trashed the house out of sheer agony.
Of course she couldn’t let him leave, so she brought him in and let him watch as she put the whole place back in order without ever lifting a finger.
She took slow and almost teasing steps towards the man before gently bringing a hand to cup the side of his face, “It’s okay.” She reassured softly, wiping a tear off his cheek, “I am about to make everything okay again. And you will be able to witness it.”
The man couldn’t even tell if she was trying to convince him of that or herself. But all he knew was that she was crazy.
A glare automatically hardened on Maximoff’s face, “Crazy?” Her thick accent was clearly shown through her anger, “You think I’m crazy?”
His eyes widened and he fiercely shook his head back and forth, not understanding how she knew. But being terrified nonetheless.
“I am not crazy,” She said slowly, bringing her other hand onto the other side of his face, her grip tightening, “I am a mother.”
A sickening snap was heard before the man’s body fell into a limp pile on the floor.
Just playthings for me to use
Wanda sighed, shaking her head disapprovingly down at him, “You could have gone home soon, but you just didn’t have an open mind.”
“I am not crazy.” She repeated to herself, not even sparing the man another glance as she turned on her heel and made her way out of the room, “I am doing this for my daughter.”
It hadn’t even taken a day of you being gone for it to really hit her. For everything to start reminding her of you.
Like her car, the one that you used when you were first learning how to drive. Or how the sky looked at your favorite time of day. She couldn’t fathom eating your favorite meal, nor would she watch any of your favorite movies or tv shows.
There was nothing she could seem to do to escape your spirit. In every room she stepped in. On every piece of furniture. Everything.
Something happened for the first time, in the darkest little paradise
She needed you. More than anything in the world she needed you back.
You had died yet again right before her eyes and there was nothing she could do to stop it. For the second time.
When everybody had been brought back into reality, it was as if barely a moment passed from all of those resurrected. Including you, so there wasn’t exactly a happy ‘reunion’ between you and your mother.
She was the reason your father was dead.
But nevertheless, you both put whatever was going on aside so that you could finally end everything. Beat Thanos.
And you did. But at a terrible cost.
Right before Tony had snapped his fingers, Thanos himself had gotten a hold of you, and drove his sword through your body without a second thought.
Wanda wasn’t the only heartbroken person filled with soul shattering sorrow. All of the avengers- your friends and family- had to witness you dying in front of them as well.
And then three weeks passed.
Three long, terrible weeks. The weeks before she found Westview.
And in those weeks, Wanda could feel her magic growing stronger and stronger because of her overwhelming storm emotions.
She couldn’t exactly tell how it happened, but one moment she was sobbing on the ground, and the next she was in a beautiful home with the love of her life and their daughter staring back at her.
It was a miracle.
Shakin, pacin, I just need you
“Come and catch me, mom!” You cheered with a laugh, throwing the door open and hurling yourself into the backyard.
Wanda felt herself let out a laugh as she jogged steadily after you, “Aren’t you a little old to be playing these games?”
You looked over your shoulder with a grin, “Never!”
What you hadn’t realized as you looked away though, was your father standing right before you, catching you in his arms before you could run anymore.
He looked down at you with a loving smile, “Now, what do we have here?”
You did you best to wiggle out of his strong grip in between giggles, “Dad! Let me go! Mom’s gonna try and get me!”
“Too late.” You heard her teasing voice behind you mere seconds before her hands attacked your sides in tickles, prompting laughs out of you as you wriggled around even more.
“N-No!” You protested in between fits of giggles.
Wanda couldn’t help but smile at the sight of her family. Together and happy once again.
And it was at that moment that she knew that she would do anything to preserve that happiness. No matter the cost.
For you, I would cross the line
She reached down and stroked the side of your head gently, pushing your hair behind your ears in slow movements so as to not wake you.
Things had begun to get complicated in Westview.
There were people- bad people- trying to take her family away from her once again. And she would not let that happen.
She would be damned if she let her little girl be ripped out of her life once again. She didn’t know if she would be able to survive it again.
And then there was her loyal husband. He had clearly begun to suspect something was happening, and she could not have that.
With the smallest and softest of sighs, Wanda forced her hand to move away from you and she stood up.
She was going to have a talk with whoever was responsible for what was going on in her town, and let them know what would happen if they didn’t leave.
Stealing one last glance back at your sleeping form, she closed your door softly behind her.
I would waste my time
“Come on, baby, I have to go.” Though she said it, Wanda had no agitation in her voice. She could never be mad at you.
“But mom!” You whined, reaching a lazy hand over the couch, not getting up from your lying position, “It’s supposed to be girls night!”
She sighed, running a hand up and down your arm reassuringly, “I know, honey, but there’s this errand I need to run really quickly for Auntie Agnes.”
You sighed, “I didn’t want to have to do this mom.”
Her eyes quickly widened and she dropped your arm, backing up, “No! No! Don’t you dare, young lady!” She warned.
You paid her no mind as you looked back up at her, your best puppy dog face on display for her to see.
By the time she slapped a hand over her eyes, it was too late, the damage was already done. She had seen her greatest weakness.
A groan escaped her, “Fine, fine!” She relented, moving back around the couch and plopping down next to you, lifting your head onto her lap gently, “But only for a few minutes.” She said sternly.
You let out a cheer as a smile bloomed on your lips, cuddling deeper into her side as you sighed in contempt.
Wanda let out a chuckle, bending down to place a kiss on the crown of your head, “The things I do for you.”
I would lose my mind
She shook her head once. Twice. Three times.
All of them were sharp and almost violent. Trying to get rid of something that wasn’t physically there. Trying to get rid of whatever feelings she could sense bubbling up inside of her. Whether it be guilt or sorrow- she couldn’t even tell at this point.
“I’m not crazy.” She repeated once more- brokenly.
They say, “She’s gone too far this time”
Stephan would try to stop her- others too, no doubt.
But they were all mere obstacles in her way. Nothing that couldn’t be thrown aside.
Wanda wouldn’t let him- or anybody- get in the way of her happiness. She had already given it up far more times than was fair to any one person.
She shouldn’t have to endure it any longer. She shouldn’t have to be the only person who’s only source to a meaningful life was denied.
Why should she be the only one to suffer when everybody else got back what they lost in the snap?
Don’t blame me, love made me crazy
“I did what I had to do.” Wanda whispered, practically cowering back from the horrified look you were giving her.
“What-how can I be here if I died?” You demanded, shock taking over every cell in your body as you were unable to comprehend exactly what you had just unearthed.
“I hadn’t meant for it to happen,” Your mother desperately tried to explain, “But it was a blessing- I have you and your father back now. We can all be together again.”
You shook your head, taking a stumbling step back in a manner that reminded her far too much of that day within the trees of Wakanda.
“I’m sorry.” Was all she whispered before closing the distance between you with two large strides, and she gently placed her hands on either side of her face.
The panic on your features quickly disappeared as her eyes glowed the same red that was coming out of her fingertips, and instead a confused look overcame you.
“Mom?” You asked, “What happened?”
She smiled softly, dropping her hands, “You were getting a headache, I took it away.”
You smiled at her, “Thank you.”
“Anything for you.” And she meant it.
If it doesn’t, you ain’t doing it right
Oh, how she longed to wrap her arms around you once more. Reassure you that everything was okay, become happy once more. Give you the long life full of joy that you deserved.
The life that you had been robbed of.
No matter what happened today, she had every intention of giving you that chance once again.
Lord, save me, my drug is my baby
Feeling the power of the book of the damned lingering around the room had suddenly become dizzying, and Wanda found herself stumbling her way into the bathroom.
There, she practically fell against the counter as she gripped the cool material, eyes finding themselves in the old and slightly cracked mirror above the sink.
There were dark bags under her eyes and her cheeks had sunken in to an unhealthy level. She hadn’t rested a full night or eaten a full meal since Westview.
And while her magic had become more and more powerful, it also took more and more energy out of her every time she used it, resulting in the other half of how sickly she looked.
I’ll be usin’ for the rest of my life
It was too late now, there was no going back. Even after she was able to get you back, she didn’t think she would ever be able to give up the book of the damned entirely.
She needed it. Just as much as she needed you.
Don’t blame me, love made me crazy
“How about this?” Wanda asked in delight, doing a small twirl and striking a pose to show you the full outfit.
You hid a giggle behind your hands, “You look-“ You cut yourself off when you couldn’t take it anymore and your giggles turned into full blown laughter.
Your mother let out a huff of air, crossing her arms, “Fine, not the black cat then.”
Stifling the rest of your laughter, you sobered up and smiled slightly as you said, “Mom, it’s Halloween, wear something fun.”
She jutted out her lip as she pouted a little bit, “I thought a black car was fun.”
The smile turned into a teasing smirk, “Just like you thought the alien and weird pirate were fun? And the-“
She scowled, cutting you off, “Fine, fine, I get your point.”
With a long breath, you pushed yourself off the bed and made your way into your mothers endless closet, “How about this?” You asked, picking up a red outfit.
Wanda’s eyes lit up, “A Sokovian fortune teller!” She immediately exclaimed, an idea already formulating in her head.
If it doesn’t, you ain’t doing it right
The sound of laughter from two different people bounced off the walls as Wanda entered her household, a smile tugging on her lips once it reached her ears.
Silently, she crept through rooms and peaked her head through the door of the kitchen, searching for the source.
There, was the sight of you and Vision standing in the kitchen with mixing bowls and ingredients that looked like everything needed to make chocolate chip cookies.
Her smile softened and she closed the door gently with a click, leaving the two of you to it.
Lord, save me, my drug is my baby
The sound of a crash sent Wanda’s eyes flying open, and panic immediately ensued.
Her head whipped from side to side, only for them to narrow in on the television, the source of the noise.
The tension in her body immediately relaxed and she slumped back against the couch, for the first time becoming aware of the extra weight against her lap.
Allowing her head to turn down, her entire expression softened when she saw you leaning your head against her, breathing even in a way that told her you were asleep.
On the other side of you was your father, his arm around you, even as he too slept through the movie.
She didn’t even lift a hand as she used her powers to turn the movie off, kissing the top of your head softly before resting her head on yours and closing her eyes again.
I’ll be usin’ for the rest of my life
Wanda’s eyes once again closed tightly and she shook her head back and forth, ridding herself of those thoughts- those memories.
They weren’t going to help her find you.
Some small part of her cried- screamed- at her that you weren’t going to be the same.
You weren’t going to be the daughter that she remembered. Just like you weren’t the same after the snap, or even in Westview. They were all just versions of you- versions that she created.
And this other you in another multiverse was most definitely not going to be you, she shouldn’t even-
No.
She had to stop, this was going to be you. And she would have you back in her arms, and the two of you would be happy once more.
And once she was able to get you and make sure you were okay and safe, she would then go for Vis.
She knew he would understand. The need to make sure their daughter was okay before she could even think about saving him.
But she would, and everything would be well again.

Puppy Love | Natasha Romanoff x Female Reader
Tumblr media
Masterlist | N.R Masterlist
Words: 2.8k
Summary: You and Natasha were the definition of 'opposites attract', sometimes she forgets that until you do something extra cute.
✧:・゚✧:・゚✧:・゚✧:・゚✧:・゚✧:・゚✧:・゚✧:・゚✧:・゚✧:・゚✧:・゚✧:・゚✧:・゚✧
Your relationship with Natasha was always an odd thing to other people. They never did believe that you were actually dating, you could have a heated makeout session in front of them and they still wouldn't be able to wrap their heads around it.
It was annoying that for a while you couldn't do coupley things with your girlfriend without people looking as though it was a circus act. Eyes bulging as though they had never seen something so mind-boggling. You learned to understand why they might not have thought of you as a match, but the ogling was a bit much.
The fearless assassin with... you. A vet nurse that people have described many a time as "a lil' sushi roll".
You quite literally could never hurt a fly. One time you stood on an ant whilst on a walk with some of the Avengers, and you cried for five minutes. So, when you two eventually revealed that you were an item they couldn't quite believe it. But it was true.
Natasha loved your childlike outlook on life, something that not many people have. But she also loved the dedication to your work, you were an incredibly smart woman and had aided in saving multiple lives in your job. And you loved how even though Natasha had a hardened exterior, you were one of the few people to see through the cracks, which you thought was a privilege. Underneath the surface was a person with a lot of love to give, and surprisingly a person with a candle obsession.
Her room was littered with them, it was a wonder that she hadn't burnt the place down yet.
Yours and Natasha's story was the friends to lovers arc, so you were already familiar with those living in the compound due to having known Natasha for years before you started dating.
Someone that you had always been incredibly close with was Wanda. You met her right after the tragic loss of her brother, Pietro, and you being you were the only person who could get Wanda to come out of her shell in her initial days with the Avengers.
From helping her grieve, a friendship was born and she started hanging out with you and Natasha a lot, it was nice that your friendship group of two wasn't so small anymore. It took a while for the two of you to reassure her that she was not intruding and that you were happy for her to join in with the activities and days out that you two do.
The three of you were the trio of trouble around the compound, Natasha was the more calm one of the bunch, but that didn't mean that she didn't get a kick out of the antics that took place too.
More often than not, if any of the others who resided in the compound walked into the kitchen, they walked into a bakery bombshell. There would be batter and flour everywhere, spoons and spatulas on the floor, cupcake cases strewn everywhere, dirty equipment making a mountain in the sink, and you three, on the floor.
The floor was the place that your group thought best to eat the delicious baked goods that you had put time and effort into preparing. You'd all be eating and chatting, blissfully unaware of the hurricane that you had once again brought into everyone else's lives.
But you were all having fun, and most importantly, so was Wanda. That woman deserved it, the first thought that you had about her after learning about what had happened in Sokovia was 'Man, she needs a hug'.
After a few months of observing you during your time together, Wanda noticed a closeness between you and Natasha that hadn't been there when she first saw you two together. The new looks that you would give each other, the increase of small touches, texting each other a lot more when you were apart.
So, like a good friend, she stopped hanging out with you and started hanging out with Vision more. You were hurt, but it meant that you got more alone time with Nat, though you did wonder what went wrong, and you missed your friend terribly.
Both you and Natasha missed her presence when spending time together, and hated how it seemed that Vision monopolised most of her time. But you applauded her for branching out to more people in the compound, it was something you had hoped for, you just hadn't expected it to be at the expense of you.
But you had Natasha, and Natasha had you. Besides, this was how it used to be before Wanda came along.
All of the alone time with the new feelings brewing meant that you inevitably started dating. When Wanda found out she was ecstatic and started calling herself "The Captain of the Ship".
She started hanging out with you two again, but this time split her time with Vision as well. Those two had ultimately also become a pair.
They were fun to hang out with, the synthezoid's lack of knowledge of basic social skills was often amusing, and he would chuckle along even though he wasn't really aware that you were finding him funny.
For instance, when you had gone out to dinner just the four of you, Vision had started questioning some of the foods on the menu as they had weird themed names, even though he doesn't eat. But he still made that poor waiter explain everything no matter how many times Wanda kicked his ankle and discreetly coughed to get him to shut his metal mouth.
After everything the waiter finally asked him which one of the food items he would like, to which he promptly responded with his head held high, "Oh no thank you, I don't eat food". Wanda had her head in her hands in embarrassment as you and Nat failed to hold in your laughs at seeing the waiter's face. You had inhaled your sip of water due to you stupidly drinking so that the cup would hide your smile. This resulted in Natasha laughing even more when she had to smack you on the back a few times so that you didn't die.
Inevitably after you and Natasha had dated for a few months, you moved into the compound. The only negative was that it was a further drive to work, but you got to live with your girlfriend and friends so you didn't really care.
When your colleagues at work found out that you were dating the Black Widow they were also shocked. When you questioned them about it they all just said "they couldn't see it", which confused you further.
Sure, you and Natasha were different. But that's what made it so beautiful, if she sat down with someone every day who also had the same external emotional range of a teaspoon and crappy small talk skills, then they wouldn't talk. It would be boring. And if you sat down with someone exactly the same as you then no bills would be paid as you'd keep convincing each other to take the day off to bake a tonne of cookies every day. Opposites attract after all.
It took months but people eventually got it. They saw how Natasha's eyes would light up when you entered a room, how during team movie nights she would love to hold you unnecessarily close, how seriously she would take looking after you when you were ill, and how she happily did extra loads of laundry because you wore her clothes more than your own, and many more. The list of things that showed how much Natasha cared for you was too long. That woman loved you with her whole heart.
But, there were still times when you did something that made the team question it again. Like today, when you ran downstairs and skidded across the floor in fluffy socks with a cow pattern, clutching your phone to your chest that was cladded with Natasha's hoodie. The team were all sitting at the table in the kitchen eating breakfast, you were the only one not there due to dealing with a work call.
When you reached Natasha's side she was going to question what had got you all excited so early, but she couldn't get a word in before you started rambling about how the Veterinary practice that you work out was doing an impromptu dog meet and greet with the local shelter to raise money and hopefully get adoptions up, and that you were being called in to help run it that afternoon.
Natasha looked a bit sad that you were being called into work on a Saturday, but her spirits were immediately lifted when you said you could bring people with you. You had automatically assumed that Natasha would be coming with you, so you turned to Wanda and Vision to see if they wanted to accompany you.
Natasha immediately scowled and gave you a slap on the arm, thinking that you had told her about being able to go and then immediately inviting other people instead.
"Hey!", you shouted as you clutched your arm, she forgot her own strength sometimes. At seeing just how pissed off she looked, you tilted your head and concentrated on figuring out what had suddenly got her angry. It took you a few seconds, during which time Natasha's scowl had deepened at seeing you not being able to figure it out, but eventually, it clicked.
She slowly nodded as she saw the answer appear in your eyes, "You were already coming, I just wanted to see if they wanted to tag along!".
Nat threw her head back slightly in frustration with your shenanigans, before a smile etched itself onto her face and she turned to look back at you looking at her with confusion. "You know you should never assume", she playfully pointed at you before handing you your plate of now cold pancakes and bacon.
You happily scarfed them down, with a generous serving of maple syrup, and rushed upstairs to get into your scrubs. The three tagging along with you would just be able to go in their normal clothes but to show that you were an employee and just in case an emergency showed up on shift, you needed to be in your work clothes.
You didn't mind that though, you had a cute rainbow lanyard with black pawprints on, along with merchandise pins of your favourite shows, so you enjoyed an excuse to wear it.
After getting into your cyan scrubs, you bounded down the stairs in excitement to get to see lots of dogs today. Natasha, Wanda and Vision were waiting at the bottom of the stairs for you, Wanda looked just as excited as you did, the other two were just there to spend more time with their partners.
After giving Nat a quick peck on the cheek and grabbing her hand, making her blush, not that she would ever admit it, you grabbed your car keys from the side and led the small group out to your car.
Your car was relatively old, Tony had offered to give you one of his cars that he doesn't use, but you couldn't do it. This was your first car, and it still ran beautifully, so you kept it. It looked out of place next to the other cars that the Avengers owned, but it represented you amongst them so you didn't mind.
As you drove, you absentmindedly grabbed Natasha's hand and placed it on the gearstick, placing your hand on top as you continued driving. Once again the great Black Widow blushed, and once again she would never, ever admit it.
Wanda and Vision made some light conversation from the back that you occasionally made a funny comment to, but you mostly focused on your driving, it was Saturday and New York City, so the traffic warranted you to put your undivided attention onto the road.
Forty painful minutes later, you arrived at work. It was only painful due to the other drivers on the road who kept trying to cut you off at every opportunity, the company was great.
You marvelled at how the car park had been transformed into a charity drive. There were loads of kennel staff there with the different dogs, and even though it had just started the place was teeming with people. This was of course good, donations would go up, dogs would get adopted if the humans passed the screening process, and there was always the opportunity that the practice would get more customers. Win-win all around.
After giving the place a short once over, you told your girlfriend and friends that you just needed to go into the building quickly to clock in and make sure that the emergency station was prepared. Hopefully, it wouldn't have to be used today but you could never be underprepared when it came to that.
In the meantime, Nat and Vision tailed behind Wanda who was making sure to bend down and give every dog a good head rub. Vision didn't really understand why she was getting so excited over giving the pups scratches but he liked how Wanda looked happy.
Natasha gave smiles at all of the dogs but wasn't too interested in giving them belly rubs like Wanda was, she was more of a cat person. If this was a cat charity drive then she would be trying not to lose her mind from a cuteness overdose. But with the dogs, for her, it was pretty easy to keep herself at bay.
She was glad to see you when you made your way over with a couple of work friends who were also working today's shift, she came to be with you after all.
You gave her a big smile as you walked towards her and started gushing over all of the dogs here as you walked forward to give the cutest golden retriever you had ever seen a tiny nose boop before he jumped on you and attacked your face with slobbery dog kisses.
Natasha found the sight absolutely disgusting, why would anyone want dog slobber on your face? But she couldn't help but chuckle a bit herself when she heard your giggles as you tried to free yourself from your fluffy attacker.
She watched you as you interacted with the dogs and worked, helping people fill out adoption forms, you were clearly in your element and she loved it. You had a way of talking to the visitors and getting them excited about being donors to the various charities and kennels that you were hosting today.
The passion you had for your job clearly shone through.
After about half an hour of work and play with Natasha standing by your side, your colleague called you over to see a tiny puppy that had just woken up, so you dragged your group with you as you gently took her out of your coworker's hands. "She looks just like a little mashed potato ball, don't you?", you cooed as you moved your hands to support all of the puppy's tiny limbs and support her little belly.
You bounced your hands up and down gently with the puppy in your arms to keep her in a docile state as you made gushing noises over how cute she was. The three you were with couldn't help but beam at how you were handling the cute puppy.
However, Natasha very quickly noticed that a lot of other people were looking at you as well, smiling at the sight, including some young women who appeared to be alone. Her face immediately hardened as she saw the way that they were looking at you.
Of course, you didn't notice, you were just too focused on the tiny baby in your arms. But Natasha couldn't take it anymore as more people turned to see what people had stopped to look at. "Your cuteness is making everyone stare. Stop it".
You looked up and smiled at some of the people who were indeed looking in your direction, you felt a bit shy from all of the attention, but you just pouted a bit at Natasha before looking back down at the potato dog. "Come on Nat give her ears some little scritches", you held your arms out slightly but without risking dropping her.
Nat quirked an eyebrow as she looked at the dog in your hands and hesitated, but seeing the look on your face she carefully started petting the dog's head. She was very clumsy with her movements, you wondered if she had ever petted a dog before, but a moment later her eyes were shining and the smile on her face showed pure joy.
She got more confident with what she was doing and moved her hands down to pat her back, and you just stared in awe at how your girlfriend was melting into a puddle of adoration at this pup. You called it a pupple.
Yeah, she was definitely coming home with you all. Nat practically dragged you to fill out the adoption screening papers with Wanda giggling in the background, and you had never been happier.

When I want you and all your charms
You rip your earphones out in frustration, letting them clatter onto the floor in a pile. Stupid song. For weeks you had been forced to listen to it. So much so it had easily become borderline torture. The lyrics flooded through your head every waking moment. You weren’t even sure if it was a real song at all!
Every time you tried to look up the lyrics, your mind would become blank and you’d be left even more confused and angry. And now, even with heavy metal music making your ears ring, the song still lingered. It was a pointless fight that you were just too tired to win anymore. Fine, you thought. You win
Whenever I want you, all I have to do is
“Still stuck in your head, huh?” You were snapped out of your small pity party and sighed. Right, still working. Markus - your only real work friend - smiled at you sympathetically, trash bag in hand.
“Yeah.” You groan dramatically. “Still stuck.”
The diner you worked at was the kind that only people who had been passing through town ate at. The kind of place the locals forgot even existed. Your customers were Mostly middle aged truck drivers, though there was the occasional sleep deprived family. Because of this, you only really worked nights.
The pay wasn’t great, and yeah, you sometimes wished you didn’t always smell of stale coffee and bacon grease. But it had become the closest thing to home you were going to get. The closest to “normal” you’d ever be and you knew it.
So, with a small friendly smile, you stood from your seat and grabbed the bag out of your coworker’s hand.
“I’ll take that.” You say and Markus shakes his head.
“It’s pretty dark out there.” You see the clock above him reach 12:30 and roll your eyes. “Too many creeps around.” Always the gentleman, Markus moves to pass you but you’re quicker, grabbing onto the bag and pulling it towards yourself.
“I’ll be fine.” You pull again as he opens his mouth to argue and successfully take it out of his grip. “I can handle taking trash out.” He stared at you for a moment, deciding what to do before finally motioning to the door in defeat. You walked - as gracefully as one could with literal garbage in their hand - pass him, the bell ringing above you as said door opened.
“But just so you know - “ His voice made you pause, using your back to keep it open while he continued. “If you get murdered, that’s your own fault.”
“Noted.”
Dream, dream, dream, dream
------------
It was a little after three when you finally started the journey home. Unfortunately for you, as if the universe was trying to make you even more miserable, it had started to rain.
You knew it would be cold - as winter was approaching rather quickly - so you were thankful for the jacket that you had brought that now clung to your body but knew that it wouldn’t stop you from being completely soaked before you even made it to your apartment.
Maybe you should have let Markus drive you.
The streets were dead, the only light being from the streetlamps that hung above you. After ten or so minutes of walking, you decided to turn right instead of your usual left. You were hopping it would cut your journey short - having seen a neighbor go that way earlier that day - and maybe the buildings that lined the path would be better protection against the rain.
That hope died rather quickly when you felt a twitch of your fingers. Someone was following you.
You tried to recover from your sudden stop smoothly, taking a deep breath as you continued walking. Another four steps and you stopped again, this time spinning quickly and outstretched your hand. Blue light filled your vision as you saw the figure of a man stubble backward from the force of the blow.
You stayed in the defensive position, hand still glowing as the light above you flickered.
“What do you want?” The sternness in your voice surprised you, a stark contrast the wild beating of your heart. The man chuckled and stepped closer, hands raised above his head.
“I missed you, too.” Your fear quickly turned into shock, finally letting your hand fall to your side. He stepped forward and you saw the familiar face.
“Are you insane?” You shrieked. “I could’ve killed you!” He dropped his hands and smiled warmly.
“I doubt it.”
“To what do I owe the pleasure, Doctor Strange?” You took notice in his appearance, it really had been a while. His hair was longer and he seemed to grow a little grey in his goatee. But what really surprised you was how dry he was, his clothes didn’t stick to him as yours did. Lucky. “You teleport here?”
“Something like that.” He waved his fingers, a port easily forming behind you. “Cold?” You try not to sprint into the warmth of it and smiled.
“Freezing.”
------------
Your eyes opened with a gasp, body falling to the ground. A pain stretched across your palm and you knew it was probably sprained. Wanda crossed the room with a concerned arm stretched out for you to take.
“Are you okay?” You waved her away, opting to pick yourself up from the floor. Your body felt as if it was burning up, your hand having to swipe away sweat from your burning forehead.
“I’m fine.” You weren’t sure who you were trying to reassure, her or yourself. Meditating had always been a hard task for you. Instead of centering you, it just made you tired and even more anxious as memories would flood through you.
Whether good or bad, they always took a tole and they were always draining.
“When’d you get back?”
“The boys finish school at three.”
“Oh.”
Wanda glanced around the room. What was once her guest had now been morphed into a witch den. Walls covered in runes, candles and books scattered across the floor. Her eyes grew concerned when she took notice of how tired yours looked.
“You need sleep.” You chose to ignore her, bending to grab a stack of papers that had fallen out of one of your notebooks earlier. She called your name but that only made you work faster, pilling loose pages together.
“Anymore dreams?” She rolled her eyes at the change of topic, but answered honestly.
“No.”
“That’s good.”
“It is.” You tucked the loose sheets - all covered in various spells and notes - into the closest book. “When’s the last time you slept?” She tried again, only this time forcing your hands to stop with her own when you didn’t answer.
“I can’t really sleep right now.” You knew you needed sleep. Staying up was draining but you just couldn’t stop, afraid that you’d lose your chance at remembering the one thing that could fix this. “I should clean this up.”
That change of topic seemed to lighten both your moods. So much so, Wanda even managed to giggle a little as her eyes scanned the room.
“I was going to repaint, anyway.” She glides across the wall, fingers tracing the symbols. “What’s this one for?”  You follow her gaze and shrug.
“I’m not sure.” She turns with a raised eyebrow. “Most of them don’t make sense to me yet. All of them are scattered pieces of spells, information, just anything I can remember really.”
“Of the Darkhold.” She concludes her adventure across the wall, stopping at one of the runes scratched into the paint. You nod. The small moment of respite gone.
“Just what I remember.” She hums, face unreadable. Soon enough the room is looking somewhat presentable and you marvel at the sight of a clean floor.
“What’s this?” You turn and see her pull a piece of paper from the desk beside her, eyes scanning the page in pure confusion. “Are these… lyrics?”She turns it toward you.
“Oh.” You grab it from her with a soft smile. “It’s just a song I sometimes get stuck in my head.” You try to remember when you could have written them before quickly realising it isn’t in your handwriting.
It was a page from Stephen’s notebook.
“What is it?” Wanda asked, noticing the playfulness vanish from your face. You swallowed back the feeling that started to fill you, crumpling it into a ball with a shake of your head.
“Nothing.” You grab the rest of the pile that sat on the desk and shoved them in the drawers with a huff. “I thought they’d help but it’s just random nonsense.” Whether or not she believes you she doesn’t say, choosing to instead let it go.
“I’ve gotta start dinner.” She says, flinching as you slam the drawer shut. “You should join us.”
“Okay. I will.”
Dream, dream, dream, dream
------------
AN/ Also! This just in, I hate everything I fucking write. Seriously though, whenever I write something, I’ll rewrite it over and over again until I just can’t look at it anymore and either post it or delete it. Which is what this is. I honestly don’t know how to feel about it.
Regardless, I hope you enjoyed it and know that I’m very, very tired. Stay safe, feel free to ask me anything and hope you have a good one!

Story/Series ideaaaaaa
Reader’s info: (y’all can change this if you want to)
: chill, intimidating, badass, nonchalant but also very flirty with Natasha, has the “It is what it is” mentality
Gender : y’all can decide
G!p/intersex: y’all can decide
Height : 6 feet
Love interest: Natasha Romanoff
And if yall plan to include smut, can y’all make it top reader plsss lmaoo. I love being Natasha’s bitch but we need some more top reader stories lol
Someone make a story/series where the reader wakes up in one of the marvel movie(prob AOU) and R meets the avengers and the R is like “you’re scarlet Johansson, Chris evans etc.” but the avengers doesn’t understand R cause they’re not from “our universe”. Since the reader is from our universe, R knows what will happen (ex: Ultron appearing at the party, Pietro, Natasha and Tony dying etc) r ends up helping the avengers and warns them when and how events/fights will happen basically helps them alter the universe or some shit like that. And at the end, the avengers finds a way for the R to go home to “our universe” then y’all can decide if R wants to stay or go home.
Idk if this is a good idea or not but ehh ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

_________________________________________________________
Today was a very special day.  A day that we hadn’t been able to celebrate in—god knows how long.  Today mark’s a very special day for two very special people in my life, yep it’s my big brother and sister’s 20th birthday.
In fact this is the first birthday they’ve been able to celebrate in a while.  Well when you volunteer to be HYDRA’s experiments, they don’t exactly care how old you get nor want to celebrate a simple birthday. But it’s been a year now since my siblings and I joined the Avengers and they’ve decided to throw a party for my brother Pietro and my sister Wanda.
Now bear in mind we’re not talking about your typical Stark parties with thousands of people you don’t even know, loud music, flashing lights, etc.  No this was just going to be an intimate party with just members of the team, some minor alcohol for the grown-ups and Capri-sun’s for me (what I happen to like that drink. Probably my favorite American drink in the whole world).
However I had run into a small—well not really small but not huge problem.  Anyway my problem was that I had no idea what to get my brother and sister for their birthday and time was ticking.  I couldn’t really afford anything expensive (like some new running shoes my brother was eyeing last week, or the scarlet red necklace my sister spotted when we went to our first American mall).
“Hey kid, you doin alright?” Clint’s voice spoke up.  I turned to look at him and said.
“Yes, yes. Everything is fine Mr. Barton.”
“I appreciate your manners but you know you can call me Clint right, Mr. Barton makes me feel old.”
“Better not let Pietro hear you admit that.” I teased.
“Please don’t remind me.” He groaned softly before sitting down beside me.  “But back to the subject, you seemed pretty deep in thought about something.”
“It’s nothing too difficult. Just—thinking about what to give Pietro and Wanda for their birthday tonight. Can’t really go out and buy anything now.”
“Well you know—birthdays aren’t just about the gifts or the loud music or the booze. Though I ask you kindly to not try any alcohol tonight.”
“I promise I won’t drink anything. God I take one sip of vodka by accident and everybody goes ‘what this is crazy!?’”
“Anyways, I’ve learned that homemade gifts are always the prize winner. Why do you think I keep my daughter Lila’s poems hidden in one of my drawers in a journal?”
“She does write beautiful poems.”
“Yeah she—wait so it’s been you sneaking around in my room?!”
“I get bored staying here all day while you all are on missions.”
“Oh you little—” just as he reached out for me I used my phasing powers which allowed his hands to go through me.  He kept trying to grab me so he could tickle me or pull me close to give me a hard noogie, but each time he tried to touch me, his hands just went through me like sand through your fingers.  “You know it’s unfair that your powers allow you to escape your well-deserved punishments.”
“I’d consider myself lucky. If most kids and teens could do what I can, they’d get away with anything.”
“And god helps parents like me if my kids ever learned that.”
“I’ll spare you the backache and not teach them.”
“Watch it kid I get enough old man jokes from your brother, I don’t need your sassy mouth either.”
“Okay Clint. Now what were you saying earlier about homemade gifts?”
“Oh right yeah. They’re usually better than any expensive jewelry, old fashioned guitar, or some rare collector’s item. Because they have more heart and love in them than anything else in the world.”
It was then I remembered long ago before we joined in with Hydra, I remembered having made Pietro and Wanda birthday cards from old newspaper clippings and magazines I’d find. Or play a song using whatever item or trash I could find to play as an instrument.
“I gotta go!” I quickly said racing out of the living room and into mine.  I grabbed my guitar and quickly began with some random chords until I found the right tune to play before finally working on some song lyrics. And I worked and worked all day, not once coming out until it was party time.
As promised by Stark, only close members of the team showed up to the party, there was music playing on the speakers but nothing too loud that you couldn’t hear what the other person was saying.  And of course my favorite Capri sun’s were all aligned at the kid’s bar all mine for the taking.
“Everything alright (Y/n)?” I looked up and there stood Vision.
“Yeah, yeah Vis everything is fine. Just standing here with my Capri sun’s, making sure no one else claims them, especially Thor.”
“I took a second counting of the presents and noticed that you hadn’t placed yours with the rest. If you’d like I’d be willing to share credit with mine. After all without your help I wouldn’t have found the gift Wanda would like.”
“It’s alright Vision. Besides my gift isn’t something I bought, I—sorta made it last minute for them.”
“Ahh yes. Homemade gifts, those are indeed more personal and I’m sure your brother and sister will like it.” I sipped my Capri sun and said after finishing it off.
“But if you do wish to give me credit, I’d be willing to take that credit as me being the Ring bearer for yours and Wanda’s wedding.” I stated which I swear would’ve made Vision’s face grow redder if he didn’t quickly abort himself from the conversation, claiming he wished to mingle with the others.  I shook my head playfully and sucked up the last remaining bits of my Capri sun.
“Alright folks cake time and then presents!” Stark proclaimed as a very large cake was rolled out.
“Yes about time I was about to go crazy over not having my first American made cake!” Pietro exclaimed.
“Alright Speedy-Gonzales slow your roll.” Stark said.  The candles were already lit up (they were those sparkler ones that you see on the 4th of July).  We all gathered around and proceeded to sing happy birthday to them before they blew out the candles.
After cake (and trying to calm Pietro down from his sugar rush of having American cake for the first time), it was present time.  First up was Natasha who gave my sister some new jackets and for Pietro she got him cologne that he had been eyeing last time we went to the mall.
Next Vision presented his gift to Wanda which was the necklace she had longed for.  Her eyes widened as she took it in her hand and said.
“Vis.”
“I understand you’ve wanted this necklace for a long while and I umm….if you don’t like it or it’s too much I kept the receipt.”
“No Vision. I love it. Thank you.” Her hand gently came on top of his as the two stared at each other. A gaze filled with such love and longing that Pietro got in between them and said.
“Alright Mr. Synthezoid robot. You may be on our side but that doesn’t give you the right to flirt with my sister.”
“Oh and flirting with every female agent that comes by does?” questioned Wanda.
“Okay so who’s next?” asked Stark before things got ugly.
“I-I’ll go next.” I softly volunteered.
“Absolutely sestra, I would’ve thought you would go first! Took you long enough.” Teased Pietro to which Wanda pinched him at his side making him exclaim in slight pain.
“What do you have for us (Y/n)?” Wanda asked.
“Umm, I—just need a second to bring it down real quick. Excuse me.” I got up from my seat and ran to the other room to grab the guitar I had hidden away and came back.  “Pietro, Wanda. I know that—life hasn’t been real easy for us, but—you both gave me all the love and care I could ask for. I know I don’t remember much about mom and dad, but I’m happy that I got to at least keep you both in my life. As a token for that, I—wrote you both a song, I—hope you like it.”
I began strumming a few chords before diving right into the opening part of the song.  My fingers getting the right chords until I opened my mouth and began to sing.  Now bear in mind that I’m not the best singer but my voice isn’t like two cats in heat, it’s kinda neutral (especially singing a full song in English like this. I’ve usually sung Russian or Sokovian songs better).
*Me*
Hey brother There's an endless road to rediscover Hey sister Know that water's sweet but blood is thicker
Oh, if the sky comes falling down For you There's nothing in this world I wouldn't do
Hey brother Do you still believe in one another? Hey sister Do you still believe in love?
I wonder
Oh, if the sky comes falling down For you There's nothing in this world I wouldn't do
What if I'm far from home? Oh brother, I will hear you call What if I lose it all? Oh sister, I will help you out Oh, if the sky comes falling down For you There's nothing in this world I wouldn't do
After playing a few more chords until finally ending it with a beautiful strum, everyone soon applauded.  Pietro and Wanda both stared at me with tears in their eyes before Wanda opened her arms out and I immediately sat onto her lap.
“Best birthday gift, ever. Thank you (Y/n).”
“You both really liked it?”
“Liked it? That is the understatement of the century. Little sister we loved it!” Pietro exclaimed as he pulled me into his lap squeezing me tight.
“It was beautifully done, our little songbird.” Wanda said as she stroked my cheek.  “Thank you.”
“I’m glad you liked it. I worked really hard on it.”
“It certainly paid off. Thank you little sister.” Pietro said as he kissed my other cheek.
“You’re welcome, both of you.”

Avenging His Death
Wanda Maximoff x Platonic!Reader
Tumblr media
masterlist | oneshots
It was extremely hard for Wanda to do what she did to Vision. She essentially killed the love of her life to save humanity. Her actions pained her from the moment it was the only option to the current time. She never let it go and it showed in everything she did. Wanda and the entirety of West View, New Jersey knew the extent of her pain. Now that she’s moved away and secluded herself in the cabin somewhere in Canada it has been quieter, but too quiet for your liking.
You traveled to where she was after taking a couple of days to find her location. You rolled up to her driveway, parking next to a sign that said: “only peaceful memories here”.
“Wanda?” You said closing your driver-side door and locking it. You looked around at the beautiful landscape behind the house in front of you. It was beautiful mountains and a lake and pine trees that lead into a forest to the left. You walked up to the front door, knocking on the distressed wood. “Wanda?” You called out again.
“Y/N? How long did it take you to find me?” She said opening the door and walking into the kitchen. “I guess you’re here to discuss West View?” A drip of annoyance and regret come from her lips.
“No, I came to check on my best friend. I heard what happened and before I could make it to New Jersey, everything had dissipated. I needed to know that you were alright. I needed to know,” You paused before saying the truth. “I needed to know that even through the grief and pain, you were still alive.” You said holding back some tears.
Since Thanos’s snap in Wakanda and Wanda disappearing, you took everyone’s loss hard. You didn’t blip, but she did. She was your best friend through and through. It had already been an extremely difficult five years, but adding West View on top of it? You didn’t know if you would find Wanda alive or dead.
“I’m not going to kill myself, although, I have thought of it.” She said leaning against the kitchen counter. “Any other reason you are here; to come for my arrest?” She said coldly.
“Is that what you think of me? No, Wanda I am not here to arrest you or ask you to turn yourself in. I came here because I love my best friend. You’re a sister to me and I understand how painful it is to lose the one person who knew you, the one person who understood you. I get that and it pained me to see him go. But I came here on my own, Wanda. Whether you like it or not, I’m not leaving.” I said hurt by her comment. Its understandable that she’s in pain, but for her to make accusations out of anger and misery isn’t called for.
Tumblr media
We talked about life and how everything happened so quickly. I explained the pain I endured during the five long years and the battle against Thanos. Where we all went off too and how we ended up their after it was all over. I stayed with a few of our friends from time to time trying to regain the normalcy of the life we had before. Wanda explained to me what West View was truly like for her. The happiness she felt and betrayal of the people she thought she knew. Wanda understood that kidnapping an entire town in New Jersey wasn’t the right decision to make, but she did nonetheless.
“I need to fight, to fight for them. I cannot sit here and do nothing while they exist somewhere without me.” Wanda sighed deeply.
“Where are you going?” I said sitting up straight in the rocking chair.
“I’m going to avenge Vision’s death. My Vision, real and fabricated along with my sons. I was pregnant. I have birth to those boys and the didn’t deserve what happened to them. I love my family and I will stop at nothing to get them back.” She got up from her chair to stand against the wrap-around porch, staring at her small farm to the side of the home. “Are you coming with me?” Wanda turned around eyeing me with a stare that could kill.
“To get your family back?” I stood up walking towards her. “Where do we begin?”

Memories (Scarlet Witch/platonic black!reader, Dr. Strange x black!reader)
Summary: The Scarlet Witch comes for a old friend, wanting her to remember…
“You have tested my patience Stephen.”
Dr. Strange never moved from where he stood. The young woman who stood just a couple feet away watch the two curiously.
“Wanda she has no idea who you are.”
“I can make her remember.” The witch tells him, looking past his shoulder to stare at her briefly before looking back to Strange. The witch’s eyes glow with scarlet fury.
“I will make her remember.”
(Not sure if I want to continue this)
