Is domestic bliss too much to ask for?
Let’s get groceries. Let’s fold the laundry. Hungry? Let’s make dinner together in our warm kitchen. Feeling sad? Let’s watch a movie on the couch. Are you tired? Come sleep by me while I read to you. Yes, I will play with your hair. Let’s wake up late on a Saturday morning and have breakfast in bed. Let’s shower tenderly together. Having a bad day? Come cry in my lap. Are you feeling sick? Here is your soup. Let me rub your back. Let me brush your hair. Let’s buy autumn decorations for our house. Look, darling, it’s raining outside—let’s make hot chocolate.

As the weather changes and the world grows colder, it will be warm here. I will make blankets and soups, bake pies, and fresh cookies. My home will smell of love and there will always be a fresh pot of coffee or a warm kettle of tea waiting. My home will have a comforting heaviness that keeps you rooted in the plush chairs as you stare at the snowfall from the ice-frosted window.

Rooftop Garden.
This garden seen from the the city walls in York, England seems to have become a popular sightseeing location in it's own right.

you are not your parents. your peers. you are not your trauma your flaws. you are not your pain. your past. you are not what has hurt you. and will not inevitably become that. remember this. you are your own person. you will make your own choices and you will be who youu want to be. 🤍
