Genre: fluff
Word Count: 1.6k oops
Characters: Hinata Shoyo, you (others briefly mentioned)
Summary: Moving away was hard; making friends, even harder. But maybe in your second year of high school, the universe finally decides to surprise you, with a familiar face from your past.
A/N: my first story on here woo hoo! also miss wordswithinmoments if you see this, this is Dei, writing about what we discussed in the server, hi!
i’ll probably add a mini p2 to this lol
edit: now there’s part a part two, not as short as i planned ahhaa
Tumblr media
Moving away was not a thing you were a fan of.
Having to move away at the age of 12, having to leave your childhood friends behind and start your whole life over again was hard. You had to enter a new territory and befriend people all over again, as if you hadn’t just gotten the hang of it. All these years spent on making friends, genuine friends, all gone to waste now... You were upset with your mother the day she announced the news and  you wouldn’t talk to her for a week straight.
Sure, it was all hard on you, but not impossible.. All it took was about two years or so, right? But when your mother came into your room one day, claiming she had big news, only to let you know that you were moving back to Miyagi... Saying you were pissed off would be an understatement.
And so here you are, transferring high schools at the beginning of your second year, missing your few trusted friends back in Tokyo; there’s nothing you can do about it. As you sit in silence, you fear the teacher will start the school year by announcing the newest addition to students, and she proves you right in record time. You get up from your seat at an awkwardly fast pace, blurt out your name and your old school, gaze fixed on the board, not meeting a single student’s eyes. As the chants of “Welcome!” die out, you hear a voice, awfully familiar, speaking out your name. From where you’re sitting, you can see the back of their head, whoever it is. Messy orange-ish hair, shining a bit too brightly when the sun ray hits it just right. You try not to dwell on the person and focus on your class. And so goes the time until lunch break.
So far everything is going smoothly, people sitting nearby make small talk with you out of courtesy, until the said familiar voice yells out your first name. “Is that really you?!!!” It’s more of a exclamation than a question and when you meet the person’s gaze, you can see why.
He hasn’t changed at all, is what first comes to mind. His hair is wilder and fluffier for sure and his face seems to be beaming with life and energy, as always. He has grown, as expected, but not any taller than you. This gives you a short moment of pride. “Hinata? Is that really you or am I dreaming?” Maybe worrying too much about making friends was unnecessary because the universe decides to give you your closest childhood friend back in the form of your classmate. And with that, you two start to catch up. He tells you all his volleyball adventures he has experienced last year, from the tournaments to the players they’ve faced. His speech is as fast as always and he can’t seem to sit still. Always making a gesture here and there or jumping around, making impressions of some of his team mates. His eyes beam with so much life and passion and his smile is so bright, it’s hard to keep your eyes open as you listen to him. You can clearly see how much volleyball means to him. “Oh and there was this Tokyo team, our school’s -Karasuno’s- fated rivals! You should’ve seen them! At first impression, there may be nothing eye catching about the way they play but Kuroo-san has this Coolest speech about being the blood stream and delivering the oxy-“ You interrupt him without realizing. “Kuroo as in Nekoma’s former volleyball captain, THE Kuroo Tetsurō? The emo with the dumbest hair style ever?” To your words, Hinata tilts his head in confusion. “Yes, do you know him too?”
Okay, maybe such things as fate and destiny do exist after all, you think to yourself. “Well, you see in Tokyo I was attending Nekoma High as well and knew him a little-“ “Then you must know Kenma too!” “Ah yes, I wasn’t very close to them. I guess, Kenma and I bonded when I scolded Lev few times and called Kuroo out on one of his embarrasing speeches.” “Oooh, were you their manager then? But no, I would’ve seen you at the matches. Oh! Maybe you were in the girl’s volleyball team?” The latter question leaves a sour taste in your mouth. “No, I met Kuroo first. I was taking advance biology classes, was close with the chemistry teacher and I would spend my time in the labs to study. You could say we met in the labs one day, through lame science puns and all that. We would study or look things up together from time to time. I went to their training sessions once in a while to drop a text book or notes, and some days I just stayed there to watch them.” Hinata seems content with your answer but from the way his eyes shine you can tell a few more questions are forming in his head. Before he can open his mouth, the bell rings, signaling the break is over and you both go back to your desks. You let out your breath in relief. From then on, you two spend more time together and meet some of his friends from the team. Yamaguchi and Yachi are easy to befriend and you hit it off with them so easily. Though cold, you and Tsukki are civil with each other but he always acts like he knows things about you that no one does, and it makes you a little nervous. Kageyama seems like the polar opposite of Hinata at first yet after seeing their exchanges with each other, it’s easy to tell how alike the two are. Their upperclassmen are easy to converse with but you avoid the gym like the plague so you don’t see them much.
And then comes the day Hinata, as Tsukki likes to say “uses his brain” and, asks the dreaded question. “How come you always leave the gym at first chance when P.E. class is over? You never come to my practice matches either! Something always comes up, as you like to claim.  And when I talk about the matches and what happened during them, you never seem to listen to me. It’s like your attention suddenly goes... Fuaaah!!” He raises both arms frantically as he says the last bit.
The Sour expression on your face tells it all but he is eager to hear you say it, or maybe he can’t exactly read your expression. It must be the latter, you assume. “Bad memories.” You just murmur.
“How come? You said you haven’t been to Karasuno until this year?”
“Bad memories regarding volleyball.” He furrows his brows at this. He has this determined look on his face again and you give in, decide to tell him what happened before he can pester you.
“It’s just... So you see, in Tokyo I started playing volleyball.” You can see the gleam in his eyes at the mention of the sport. “It wasn’t connected to school or anything. More like an independent club. It was fun too... at first. One day, I got bad at the beginning of the practice and left in a hurry.” The concern forming in your friend’s face is visible.
“I switched clubs after that. This one felt warmer but I could never play with confidence. I was always one step too late or not strong enough. I thought there was someone better near me to receive a ball or hit it. I felt weird practicing for spikes, it’s like, I was looking laughable and out of place while some of the girls looked... so strong while spiking. So two weeks before the final exams of my first year at Nekoma, I left that club too. These girls were practicing hard and with such great passion. It was a hobby for me, one I wasn’t even that good at. I felt like disrespecting them and their hard work, in a way. That’s why I sometimes get distracted when you talk about your matches too, Hinata, I am sorry.” You look up to Hinata after your last words, not knowing what to expect. He just stares at you, not radiating his typical sun shine, his expression unreadable.
“Of course you Should be sorry!” He practically yells. You’re taken aback by this and take a step back on reflex.
“I mean sure, maybe you don’t love volleyball as much as I do or the spikers you mentioned but didn’t playing give you joy?” Still shocked by his sudden outburst,  you silently nod your head. “Then this is enough of a reason for you to keep playing! You should’ve met our third years of last year. Not a single one of them are pursing a career in volleyball but this didn’t stop them from playing hard, putting their heart in the game and doing their very best! You belong as long as it gives you joy! You should’ve seen Stingyshima last year, all he did was talk about how this is just a club ‘is it worth doing all this for a club?’ Then he became the key player in our match against Shiratorizawa!”
Hearing Hinata say all these things about the boy who is always reserved to himself is weird. Though watching him make a poor impression of him as he supposedly quotes him was funny.
Before you can process his words further and think of a reply, he grabs your hand and pulls you with him. “Hinata, Wait! Where are we going?” you ask in wonder. He turns back to look at you and gives you one of his patented big smiles. Blinding you on spot, shining like the sun itself. No, even brighter than that. “To get a volleyball and have some fun!”
All you can do is nod and let him guide you to the gym; fully trusting your best friend, eager to play for the first time in months.

Chapter 4
Part 3 Part 5
Playlist
Takemichi x Child Sister reader x Toman
(P): a period of time in the past that was idyllically happy and peaceful
Plot: Takemichi who had many past regrets breaking up with Hinata, losing his younger sister. When sudden news report on the Tokyo Manji Gang’s cruel murder of the Hinata Tachibana, all the past memories came flooding in.
Tumblr media
Today he would become Draken's bodyguard.  He had to protect Draken and prevent the fight between Mikey and Draken. This should prevent Draken from dying right? This should stop Hinata dying and (Y/n) wouldn't go missing.
"Huh? Bodyguard?"
"Yes thank you!"
"No way" Draken turned away claiming that a bodyguard would be too annoying.  Sighing in annoyance Takemichi watched Draken walk away "Besides would you be any good??"
Takemichi looked to his side when he heard a familiar giggle, standing beside him was (Y/n). When did she get here? Did she follow him here? What was she wearing?? Is that their fathers fedora??
"Did you follow me?"
She nodded looking up at him "I wanna be a bodyguard too!" She told him. How did she know about that? "I wanna protect Dragon-kun too!"
Did she mean Draken? He smiled down at her, it would look suspicious if he followed Draken alone. Maybe she could help out? If she continued to play spy, he could just pretend that he was walking around with her. Yeah that was a brilliant idea.

Tumblr media

"What the hell!?"
Oh no was this it? The fight between Draken and Mikey?? Takemichi turned to look over his shoulder, (Y/n) moved around peaking over the booth curiously.
"I'll never forgive this!"
"Huh?"
Mikey pointed down at his meal with a pout, Draken already looked annoyed. "I ordered the kiddies meal because I wanted the flag !" The poor waiter bowed, apologising, and offering to go get a flag. But Mikey only looked away with an angry pout. This caused (Y/n) to giggle next to her brother.
"Mikey look"
"Wow your the best Ken chin"
Where did Draken get the flag from?
(Y/n) let out a happy cheer when her meal arrived, only to pout when they didn't decorate the omurice. Takemichi seemed to have caught on apologising while trying to convince to just eat her meal. The waiter let out a chuckle, placing a hand on the girl's head "Don't you worry about it, my daughter liked her meals decorated too!"
Once the two Hanagaki siblings waited for Draken and Mikey to leave, (Y/n) was busy coloring in a page not too focused on what was going on. A frustrated shout caught Takemichi's attention, it sounded like Draken
"I've had enough!"
Was this the fight? He looked back noticing Mikey had dozed off and Draken was glaring at the sleeping boy. "Quiet falling asleep after you eat!" Draken pulled Mikey into his back leaving the restaurant.
So this is what Mikey was like really?
He acted like a child, is that why (Y/n) liked him so much already?
Tumblr media
It all made so much sense now! Draken alway looked out for Mikey, making sure to keep him in check and see things from a different perspective.  Draken's death will lead to toman becoming evil.
"Can you stop the conflict with Moebuis? "
"Huh?"
"There's someone pulling all the strings behind all of this"
That was why Takemichi was on his knees begging Mikey not to go with this. They shouldn't go after Moebuis. He wanted to save everyone and keep them from dying. This fight will only lead to people getting hurt.
Someone grabbed his hair throwing him back, it was a blonde male  "Better quit fucking around, right Pah?"
"Say one more thing and you're dead"
Pah turned back to Mikey as he continued talking about the plans on the fight with Moebuis. But Takemichi was determined and he wouldn't give up if this meant saving the people he cares about.
"You can't stop Meobuis, Toman will get screwed over"
That seemed to piss off Pah even more, so he quickly made his way over to Takemichi. "Get up" Takemichi stood up slowly only to be knocked down by the boy. Pah seemed to take out his anger on Takemichi, throwing punches at him. Pah kept asking who was to blame, for hurting his friend and his girlfriend.
"Takemichi" Mikey spoke up from his spot, keeping his head down.
"I get what your saying, but we're going to fight Meobuis "
The tension was already heavy between Draken and Mikey. But when Osania entered it felt so much heavier.
"Sorry for intruding on your little group but you keep saying Moebus, would you mind not repeating our name like that. You middle school babies"
Pah glared at Osanai, shaking in anger. If looks could kill, Osanai would be dead for sure "You bastard!!"
"I'm two years older, that's Mr bastard to you~"
That seemed to tick Pah off more, he charged towards the older male swinging his fist. Osanai was faster and managed to dodge Pah easily. A fist slammed into Pah's face knocking the boy down. "Yup nothing but a bunch of middle schoolers "
More of Moebius members has entered the hideout, when Osanai snapped his fingers grinning at the younger boys.
" I heard you were picking a fight with Meobuis,  so we're going to strike first"
Toman was surrounded by the gang, they were definitely outnumbered too. Mikey almost seemed bored as he stared at Osanai. "This is  war!" Osanai claimed at the boys.
Mikey grinned at him "Your just as shitty as I thought"
"Huh?! Can't hear ya shrimpy"
Was this really Osanai? He seemed so different from the future one, Takemichi wondered. "Hey what the fuck are you staring at??"
"Huh? Oh ..I ..uh…"
Osanai appeared out of nowhere in front of Takemichi. "I hate people who look down at me" before his fist could slam into Takemichi's face, Pah had grabbed his arm glaring at him. "Your fight is with me asshole!!!"
"Pah-Chin don't "
"Stay out of this"
Pah shoved Takemichi away from the fight, causing the blonde to stumble back and fall down. Peh crouched down next to Takemichi "He isn't weak, he's one of Toman's best fighters"
"Sit back and watch  Takemichi"
Osanai seemed to enjoy the fight a little too much, beating Pah over and over again. The older boy continued throwing punches over and over at Pah. But Pah kept taking each hit, refusing to back down. Pah suddenly grinned like a mad man at Osanai.
"That punch couldn't even hurt an ant"
Tumblr media
Pah atruggled to keep himself up, he stumbled forward but before he could fall. Mikey had caught him, smiling at his friend.
"Sorry Mikey, I'm such a pussy "
"Pah what are you saying, you haven't lost"

Mikey let Pah down gently, before making his way toward Osanai. The atmosphere seemed eerily calm around Mikey. Osanai  turned towards Mikey "Oh? you want some too Mikey? You'll be dead in 10 sec-"
Mikey swung his leg up at Osanai's head, knocking him out immediately. All of Meobuis seemed shocked at the pure strength of the middle schooler
"Everyone who thinks Pah is a loser, step forward! So I can kill you!"
Mikey turned back with an apologetic smile "I'm sorry Ken Chin,  I couldn't help it"
"Nothing stops you, does it Mikey?"
Draken immediately noticed how Osanai reached for a broken bottle, moving towards Mikey."Mikey, look out!" Draken moved forward to protect his friend. "Draken!" The boy ignored Takemichi as he quickly overpowered Osanai.
"I'll tell you why you lost! You strayed for the path of a true delinquent, you attacked a guy's parents and raped his girlfriend.  Things only scum do!"
A police siren could be heard in the distance, they would arrive here any minute. Draken ordered everyone to split up and that some of Moebius members to help Osanai out.
This could be the conflict?
This couldn't be it
Is there something wrong?
The click of a knife could be heard, suddenly Pah bolted forward and plunged the knife into Osanai's back." You're not getting off easy Osanai!"
Draken glared over at Pah shoving him away as Osanai choked on his own blood "What are you doing  Pah!?"
Everyone was too shocked by what they had just witnessed, the sirens sounded closer and brought everyone back. Draken shouted orders for everyone to run and split up.
"Take care of the 3rd division for me Mikey. I'm giving myself up"
"The hell you are!"
Tumblr media
Hmm ???
Where was he?
Takemichi sat up, stretching his arms out, when he felt squishy. Turning his head to his side  when he spotted Emma glaring at him. "Pervert "
"Emma! That was a complete accident!"
That's right, he was in the hospital. He passed out while running away. Emma started telling him everything, how Draken and Mikey had started arguing and fighting. She didn't know why the two would fight like this. Toman had split in two, Mikey's side who wanted to go help Pah and Draken's side who were against it. Emma teared up, staring at him before falling on the bed crying into his lap.
"Takemichi are you alright??"
Hinata and (Y/n) had come to check up on him, when they heard about him being in the hospital. Hinata quickly covered the young girl's eyes, holding her close "That's disgusting!"
"It's not what it looks like Hinata!"

2. favorite fic of the year
How could you make me choose?! I don't wanna play favorites between the lovely people on tumblr, so I'll link some older ones. You might not have read them yet, and some of them are pretty old, but please give them a shot!
Operation: Wooing the In-Laws by atomic muffin. "All I can say is that it made perfect sense in my head at the time and I have zero regrets." Uzumaki Hyuga Naruto, on the day of his wedding. Or: How one Uzumaki Naruto convinced every single member of his significant other's clan to adopt him. Or maybe he was the one to adopt them. No one can really tell.

After all, who else could his number one girl be? - One-shot. Focuses on family fluff. Some implied pairings present.

A Way With Words by NaniMok. Minato stumbles upon a gloomy Hyuga and decides to strike a conversation with her. Naruhina based Oneshot.

Close Proximities by Camomile Tea. She found out that Naruto wasn't quite familiar with the term 'personal space'. /NH, fluff./
Trip the Light Fantastic by firefly. Being forced to choose between remedial dance lessons and probation is one thing, but it's another thing altogether when your dance partner is someone you can't stand. Neji. Ino. Crackfic.
Bumpy Rumpy Tumpty by Maimaktes. Sai did not stop at reading Icha-Icha. He annotated it. He did research on it. He drew theories out of it. When he started using said theories to psychoanalyze people, Yamanaka Ino knew she had to step in, in order to avoid a bloodbath. Gen, InoSai-ish.
For Every Season by Shawny Wong. It started in the spring with laughter. It grew in the summer under her touch. By the time it was winter, Naruto finally figured it out. NaruHina. Oneshot.
Inamorato by firefly. Nobody told Tobi that out of all the calendar holidays, Valentine’s Day was the last one to be passionately celebrated in the company of seven homicidal men. Crackfic.

Greetings! It I. Whomever the f*ck that is!
I don't know if anyone's every told you, but your writing is absolute Grade A Quality. And I, as in me, happen to nurse quite the interest for said A Grade writing. Shocking, is it not? Foolish! Of course it is not! Surprising. That is. It IS the best writing afterall! I- Hm... ఠ_ఠ
Okay, I'll stop horsing around, sorry,,,
I have come to make a request if that is alright with you and you do not have too many already!
I recently discovered the song "Heart Attack" by Deni Lovato and would really love a little story with boisterous and playful reader that's had the second longest-standing crush(after Hinata's, cuse, MAN, that girl be the inventor of pinning no jutsu) known to everyone, but Lee, where the crew could be out throwing one of those rare party where a majority of them can be present, eventually ending in a karaoke where the fuzzy warmth of what little alcohol the reader drank gives them the little bit of missing courage(or sensibility) to, just, climb on a table and spill all their feelings, love and frustration into this one song before loudly announcing that This One's For Lee, like a challenge.
If you would have the space/kindness to add the aftermath where the reader immediately sobers up after comfessing and just, absconds through a window, I would be the most grateful gal alive,,, >v<
I'll venmo you a goat.
Okay this was seriously WAY too fun to right Naruto is my one true love but Rock Lee was my first Naruto crush<3
HEART ATTACK
Pairing: Rock Lee x Reader
CW: good old fluff
Length: 3.6+
Summary: Rock Lee has been your not so secret crush for as long as you can remember. You’re determined to take it to your grave, but what happens when you’re drunk at a karaoke bar doesn’t stay at the karaoke bar...
Tumblr media
The music was loud, the room was dark, and everyone was there. How long had it last been since everyone was able to get together?
The life of a shinobi was a busy, dangerous one. There was little time for laugh and play, especially as you all got older. It was easier when you’d just graduated from the academy. All of the missions given to new genin were level D to C, little things like gardening or finding lost pets that didn’t take much time or require you to even leave the village. It was easy for everyone to find time to get together and hang out.
But as time passed, things changed. Everyone’s ranks were different, some people like Shikamaru took up more political roles in the village. It was easy to drift apart without even realizing it.
So tonight was one of those rare moments where the stars aligned and the old group was able to get together to hang out.
The venue of choice; a karaoke bar.
It was the first time you were all able to drink together… Well, legally at least.
“Thanks, Kiba.” You giggled, giving him a flirtatious wink as you took the drink he’d just bought you, sipping it. Did you like Kiba? No. But was he fun to flirt with? Absolutely. And if that flirting led to him wanting to buy your drinks for you, well, who were you to deny him?
Kiba was cute; that wasn’t the problem. Heck, most of the guys from the Leaf were cute and way too easy to get along with. You’d known them practically your whole life, grown up together even, but despite all their great qualities, it was only one shinobi who had your heart, and he didn’t even know it.
The first time you’d seen Lee was before the first test in the Chunin exams. He had easily taken on Naruto and Sasuke without batting an eye. He was so swift, so smooth, you’d watched him in awe. He was a bit eccentric, but had a focus and prowess you’d never experienced before. You thought he was amazing.
You were content to watch him from afar until the preliminaries. During his fight with Gaara, you’d held your breath, watched in horror and amazement as he took on the demon of the sand. You didn’t think you breathed once during that battle.
Lee lost, was almost killed by Gaara before Guy stopped him, but it was the best you’d ever seen someone fight in your life.
Timidly and nervously, you visited Lee in the hospital that day. He was unconscious, but in stable condition. You didn’t know what motivated you, but you began to visit every day, leaving flowers and small treats for Lee to wake up to.
When he finally had woken, you were trying to slink out of the room quietly when you heard him speaking, causing you to freeze in your tracks.
“Who are you?”
Apprehensively, you turned to face Lee with a small smile. You’d never been shy, but there was something about Lee that made you weak-kneed.
After introducing yourself, you went back to his bedside. “I just wanted to tell you that I think you’re very strong. You’re so skilled and quick; I think you’re the best ninja I’ve ever seen…”
You were only thirteen, didn’t have much experience in the ninja world, so the words you spoke were true. You didn’t know if telling him that, as a total stranger, would make him think you were weird.
Imagine your shock when Lee burst out in happy tears.
It was the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
You supported Lee in his recovery, and even when he couldn’t go on missions himself, he cheered you on from the sideline.
From the very beginning, it was evident to everyone in the village that you were head-over-heels for Lee. Your quiet bashfulness when Lee was around was a stark contrast to your usual loud and confident self. Everyone knew about your crush.
Everyone except for Lee.
“Why don’t you just tell him?” Tenten asked you once. “You never know.”
But you’d only shaken your head. “He loves Sakura. Everyone knows that.” You told her. “Besides. We’re friends. I don’t want to ruin that friendship.”
So despite your friendliness, your flirtatious nature, and the fact that you could have just about any of the rookie nine wrapped around your finger if you so pleased, you weren’t interested in any of them.
Rock Lee was the only one that had your heart and he didn’t even know it. He never would.
Instead of focusing on that, or the cute way Lee’s cheeks went red after he took a shot, or how Lee spent a lot of time that night talking to Sakura, you took shots with Ino and Tenten and let Kiba buy you drinks and danced with Choji when he asked.
Overall, the night was going great. Everyone was having a good time and getting along and so far only Naruto had gotten just a little too drunk; everyone else was riding a nice buzz.
Shikamaru had just finished a less than enthusiastic rendition of “The Lazy Song” that had left everyone doubled over laughing at the irony. “Who should go next!?” Naruto yelled, looking around to see who still hadn’t sung a song.
And okay, maybe Naruto wasn’t the only one who had drank just a little too much. Watching Lee sit and laugh with Sakura the past hour had left you feeling just a tad bit jealous, leading you to drink more than you normally would. He’d barely said anything to you that, and the two of you were supposed to be friends.
“What’s so good about Sakura anyways? She’s really not that great.” You swished the liquid in your cup, mumbling the words you knew you would regret the next morning. Sakura had never been anything but nice to you; you knew she didn’t deserve to be the target of your jealousy.
Ino snickered. “Geez you’ve got it bad.” She commented with a roll of her eyes before hearing Naruto’s question. Her eyes lit up, and, grinning, she hurried to the microphone, looking through the book of songs available to sing. She flipped through for a moment or two before turning to Naruto and whispering something to him.
All of this escaped your attention as you were drowning in the misery of your own thoughts before you realized: everyone was chanting your name. You blinked, looking around to see everyone staring at you, pounding on tables and counters as they encouraged you to get up and sing.
Laughing, you shook your head nervously, not wanting to go embarrass yourself before Lee caught your eye. Even he was encouraging you to go up and perform. Well, if he wanted you to, then you would sing your heart out!
You downed two more shots before pushing to your feet, which was an obvious mistake.
The alcohol always hit hardest after you stood up.
“Woah, there.” Tenten laughed, standing to help you. Somehow, you made it to the stage. Naruto snickered as he passed you the microphone. He couldn’t wait to see this.
You held the microphone tightly in your hands as your eyes scanned the room with all your friends staring expectantly at you and cheering you on. You felt good. Really good. Your vision was blurry, head dizzy, stomach warm, and everything about you was giddy. It was your turn, and you were ready to make a statement.
Glancing at the screen, you saw the name of the song appear. Heart Attack by Demi Lovato.
“I’m gonna dedicate this song to someone very special to me,” You slurred into the microphone, giggling. Your friends in the crowd whooped and cheered as the music began.
“This one’s for you Lee!”
With that, you closed your eyes to block out the reactions of everyone and everything, and you sang. You sang your little heart out, put on the drunken performance of a lifetime. Your years of pent up feelings and nerves and fears surrounding Lee all went into that song.
As you sang the last word, you opened your eyes again, taking in everyone’s reaction. Glee, surprise, happiness. You were grinning; you’d killed it.
That was when your eyes landed on Lee. It was hard for you to gage his reaction. More than anything he looked… confused. And that was when the weight of what you’d just done settled on you. Oh shit.
You’d all but confessed your feelings for Lee… Drunkenly… In front of everyone.
The realization was all it took for you to sober up. Quickly, you shoved the microphone back into Naruto’s hands and fled the karaoke bar.
You weren’t really sure how you’d even made it home. Everything was kind of blurry. You remember running from the karaoke bar, a girl’s voice, probably Tenten’s, calling after you. You remember vomiting. A lot. That’s actually what you were doing now. You’d woken up with your head basically in the toilet.
You could have gone for some blissful moments where you didn’t remember what had caused you to sprint home from the bar, but alas, you couldn’t forget.
You’d confessed your years long crush through song.
How were you ever going to face Lee again?
You wouldn’t, you decided. You would spend the rest of your life in that house. You could have your groceries delivered, you weren’t going to need new clothes if you never went outside. You would just lay in your bed until you withered away into nothingness.
~
“You can’t stay in here forever,” Tenten rolled her eyes, tugging the blanket that you were hiding under off the bed.
“Watch me,” you whined in reply, holding a pillow over your head. “I totally embarrassed myself! He probably thinks I’m so lame!”
Tenten could only snicker at that. “Lee? Thinking you’re lame? Right.”
It took a bit of convincing, and you were basically kicking and screaming, but Tenten was able to drag you out of your home back into the real world. “No one’s going to care,” She assured you as the two of you walked. “We were all plastered. I’m sure no one will even remember!”
If only that were true.
“Hey!” Kiba called as he and Naruto approached you and Tenten. “Have you guys seen Lady Tsunade around here? I have this pain in my chest…”
Naruto grabbed Kiba’s arm in mock fear. “Oh no! Kiba, are you having a heart attack!?”
The two of them doubled over in hysterics; tears were even streaming down their faces. You could feel your face burning red in embarrassment. You’d never wanted to disappear so badly.
“Beat it you two!” Tenten snapped, grabbing your arm and pulling you away. “Ignore them! They’re idiots!”
Head buried in your hands, you shook your head. “God! How am I ever going to live this down! I’m going home!” You pulled out of Tenten’s grip. “I’m going to move villages, change my name, and make sure Lee never sees my face again!”
“Uh, well, if that’s the case you better run…” Tenten said awkwardly, nudging you. “Because Lee’s coming this way…”
And there he was. In his green jumpsuit, bowlcut and all, Lee was heading straight for you. God you were sure you were going to vomit again.
“Good morning Tenten,” Lee greeted, though nowhere near in his usual upbeat tone. “Would you mind giving us a moment alone?” He asked. Tenten glanced over at you nervously.
“Yeah… Sure Lee…”
~
“I do not understand it, Sakura.” Lee sighed, toying with the drink in his hands as his eyes were locked on you drinking and laughing with Tenten and Ino. “I have never had any issue telling you that I think you are beautiful. But with her… It is different.”
Sakura giggled, feeling the drink in her own veins. “Because, Lee. You like her like her. You should just tell her!” Even drunk, Sakura would never betray your trust by telling Lee the obvious; that you liked him as much as he liked you. But it was infuriating to sit on both sides listening to the two of you cry over your feelings day after day and not tell you!
Lee shook his head, taking a gulp from his drink. “I cannot. I am not like Guy Sensei, as much as I try to be. I am not cool or good looking. I do not think I am smooth. I do not know how to talk to a girl I like.”
It took everything in Sakura not to burst out laughing. Guy Sensei? Cool? Good looking? Smooth?
“This is ridiculous. How much longer do I have to hear about how great you think she is before you finally tell her?!”
Rock Lee could barely hear Sakura; he was zoned in on you. Everything about you entranced Lee from the very first time he saw you trying to sneak out of his hospital room. You were beautiful, of course. Your hair always seemed to fall just right. Your smile brightened up a room. The kindness in your heart radiated from you. He loved how confident and outgoing you were and that you had an energy that could match his.
It wasn’t like Lee hadn’t tried to tell you before. There were plenty of times when it was just the two of you that he was tempted, but he could never get it out. There just weren’t many people that he connected so easily with. Guy Sensei was his idol; he wanted to be just like his sensei! But that wasn’t the same as having a friend. Even with his teammates, there was a level of professionalism to it all--maybe thanks to Neji--that kept him from feeling like he could truly be understood.
But with you, everything was so easy. Laughing came easily, talking and opening up about the things he struggled with… There was a naturalness to it he’d never experienced before. He was terrified to lose it.
So that night at the karaoke bar, he sat with Sakura whining about the same thing he had been for months now instead of doing something about it. That wasn’t like Lee at all, but that was what you did to him. You made him so nervous he couldn’t even be him.
He was sure you knew his eyes were locked on you all night, ogling like a total weirdo. He’d barely even talked to you. He had hoped that the alcohol would loosen him up and spur him into action, but he’d just shut down even more, causing him to wallow in his own self pity.
Why couldn’t he be more like Kiba? He was over there, so smooth and cool, grinning and chatting you up and buying you drinks. Lee wanted to be that guy to you!
“Oh, look! She’s gonna sing next!” Sakura nudged Lee, nodding at the stage where you were grasping the microphone. You were clearly inebriated, and the redness in your cheeks just made you look all the cuter to him.
“I’m gonna dedicate this song to someone very special to me!” Lee’s heart dropped into his stomach. He couldn’t even hope that he would be the one that you would devote a song to. So when it was his name that had left your mouth, he sat in there in a state of shock. It wasn’t even dawning on him. Sakura shook his shoulder excitedly as you belt out the lyrics to Heart Attack.
“Lee, she’s singing to you!”
It just couldn’t process. Was it the alcohol? Was it the absolute surprise at what was happening? Whatever it was, by the time you had finished, Lee had continued to stare at you, open mouthed. It was only when you’d sprinted out of the bar that Lee had come to his senses.
He’d done his best to follow you, but he was drunker than he thought and had stumbled around just a little too long. By the time he’d gotten himself straightened out, you were long gone.
He’d stayed up all night long thinking about it, thinking about you.
The whole night, he turned it over and over again in his mind; what else could that have meant other than you liked him back? It was too good to be true! But it was true? Lee drove himself mad.
The goal with his walk wasn’t necessarily to find you. Moreso, he had just wanted to clear his head, maybe get advice from Guy Sensei. But he’d ran into you and Tenten before he could do any of that.
As Tenten gave the two of you space, he stared at you bashfully. The longer the silence went on, the redder his cheeks became. Just as he was getting up the courage to say something, you broke the ice.
“Lee, look. About last night… I’m sorry. That was so embarrassing! I was just so drunk and… I wasn't thinking straight.” You were rambling on nervously, scratching the back of your head and avoiding his gaze, acting like you wanted to laugh the whole thing off.
Lee nodded slowly, letting your words sink in. So… He had misread the whole thing, then? The thought hit him like a blow to the stomach, taking the breath straight out of him. That sucked. “Right, of course!” He said quickly. “It is okay, really. I had drunk a lot as well!”
How did he get out of here? Lee was tempted to drop the weights from his ankles and take off running as fast as he could.
The discomfort was plain on his face, though. You knew Lee well; you could tell something was wrong.
You had to drop your playful facade. You felt like you’d really screwed things up. “Are… Are you mad at me?” You finally asked him quietly.
The question startled Lee. He frowned, tilting his head. “Why would I be upset with you? You are my friend.” You could only shrug helplessly. You were sad and embarrassed and confused, and now Lee was upset. Of course you thought it was your fault. You didn’t know that couldn’t be farther from the truth.
The silence was heavy, making you sigh and shake your head. “Well, uh, I should go meet up with Tenten again…” You mumbled, staring at the floor. After this, she definitely couldn’t drag you out of your bedroom again.
You lifted your hand, waving goodbye before turning away. You didn’t get more than a step away before Lee was grabbing your arm, his body reacting quicker than his mind. “Wait. Please.”
Of course you stopped, turning back to face him. You were too fearful to be hopeful, unwilling to get excited for something that wouldn’t happen, but you held your breath anyways as you stared up at him.
“I was not completely honest. I am upset, it is just not with you…” When you didn’t respond, only continued to stare at him with those earnest eyes, he had no choice but continue. He dropped your arm, his hand going to nervously rub at the back of his neck instead. He didn’t know how to do this, but he had the feeling it was now or never.
“The truth is, yesterday when you sang that song, and you said you were dedicating it to me, I believed it was because you had feelings for me. So just now, when you said you were not thinking straight, it made me upset because I have feelings for you. I was hoping that you would tell me that you felt the same…”
You didn’t think you’d ever seen Lee so red before. It was like a cartoon, the way it creeped up from his chin all the way to his forehead, shooting up like a thermometer. You could only imagine that you looked the same. Your face felt like it was on fire.
It took a moment for it all to sink in. There was a pause before it dawned on you; Lee just confessed that he had feelings for you! He liked you! The giddiness sent trembles through you as you broke out into a huge grin that you couldn’t stop.
“Lee, you idiot!” You laughed, smacking his arm. “I do like you! That’s the whole reason I humiliated myself in front of everyone yesterday!”
You know that look that Lee gets when he’s happy? His pupils dilate, glistening like googly eyes. The blush dusts the tops of his cheeks, he even gets a bit teary eyed.
All classic Lee and exactly what you got after your confession.
“I cannot believe it!” He cried, pulling you into a hug and twirling you around without hesitation. Now that he had confirmation about how you felt, any inhibitions he had been harboring were gone just like that. He wasn’t going to waste another moment not showing you exactly how he felt. “I have wanted to tell you for so long! I just did not think you felt the same way! This is fantastic!”
Lee’s enthusiasm was as contagious as ever. It didn’t take long before you were hugging Lee back and laughing along with him. When he finally calmed down, Lee released you, taking your hands in his instead and grinning at you.
“So does this mean you will go on a date with me?”
“Is that you asking me?” You giggled. Lee nodded enthusiastically. “Then yes; of course I will.”
Lee pulled you into another hug. “Would you like to know something?” He questioned, giggling childishly, so of course you nodded. “I almost had a heart attack asking you that question!”
The groan was immediate as you pulled away, smacking your forehead. “Lee!” You whined, cringing in embarrassment. “I am also having a heart attack trying to work up the nerve to do this…” For a guy that was so fast, he moved agonizingly slow as he leaned down to press his lips to yours. A heart attack, huh? Yeah, you were never going to live that down. But if this was the price to pay, well then, you didn’t mind all that much.

Idek if this is how asks are supposed to go but omfg how about tsukki, iwaizumi, and suna with an S/O that likes to tease them when watching practice?🥺

→ when the two of you start dating he felt a little iffy about the idea of you coming to practice.
→ one of the reasons was that he didn’t want to have to deal with questions about you from his teammates.
→ but when he realised how serious he was about you he knew he’d have to introduce you sooner or later.
→ the first time he did it felt kinda unnerving to be honest.
→ but over time he gradually got used to it, thankfully.
→ and his teammates absolutely adored you, especially hinata, noya & yamaguchi ofc.
→ he even started suggesting that you stay after school so he could walk you home because he’s soft at heart.
→ at first you told him not to worry about it because you didn’t want him to have to worry about you.
→ but when the winter months began approaching it got dark a lot quicker so eventually you came around, as he expected.
→ we all know that one of tsuki’s love languages is teasing which is something that you definitely also incorporate into your conversations with him.
you stood by the railing watching over your boyfriends teammates’ practice with a smile. it wasn’t very often that you would come and watch so when you did you were very attentive. but you were also very cautious about throwing tsuki off his game so you always choose to stand where he couldn’t see you just to make sure it wouldn’t affect his performance.
the ball dropped on the other side of the net signalling the end of the practice match, it was a 3 on 3 and to your boyfriends dismay he was teamed up with both kageyama and hinata. in more fortunate news they were the winners, it made you glad to know you wouldn’t have to deal with his sour attitude today that would often come out when he lost.
“kei.” you waved making your way towards him, he turned towards you with a deadpan expression but only you could notice the way his eyes softened the moment he saw you.
“how was it playing with the king hmm? it seems like you had a lot of fun, maybe you two should just kiss and makeup.” you spoke in a low whisper making sure only he could hear before giggling in his chest.
“shut up dumbass.” he rolled his eyes but brought you in his embrace nevertheless. you were very aware that the most tsuki would do infront of his teammates was hug you so you always took advantage of the fact whenever you could.
“so now you’re being mean to me? did i strike a nerve by talking about your boyfriend?” you coo’d in a teasing manner causing him to pinch the side of your waist.
“you better behave or i’ll make you regret it.” he pulled away with a smug look on his face, there was clearly amusement dancing throughout his eyes as he watched the shift in your facial expression.
“aww come on kei, don’t threaten me with a good time.” you smiled tugging on the hem of his shirt and he knew exactly what you were up to.
“don’t say i didn’t warn you.”

→ you were watching aoba johsai’s practice even before you were dating iwaizumi.
→ one of the reasons was due to his meddling bestfriend oikawa who insisted that you come as he knew about iwa’s crush on you.
→ he hoped that the ace would finally gain the courage to confess after all these months he’d been doting on you.
→ so when the two of you finally did get together he was used to having you watching and waiting for him after school.
→ he enjoyed having you there because we all know how protective iwaizumi can get when it comes to his s/o.
→ he wanted to make sure he could walk you home everyday so that you’d always be safe.
→ but regardless of how long the two of you had been together one thing he couldn’t get used to was how flustered he would get everytime you teased him.
“hajime.” you said in an almost song-like tone, there was no doubt from anybody that you’d gotten that habit from the likes of oikawa, who was finding your entrance amusing.
“y/n.” iwaizumi looked up at you, his figure was slumped against the wall, he was clearly catching his breath as the coach called for a 5 minute break. he reached out to your hand, urging you to sit down next to him against the wall.
“look at you all tired, luckily enough i brought some water.” you handed it to him watching the way his eyes lit up at the sight of it causing you to let out a chuckle.
“you’re more excited to see water than you are to see me?” you playfully pouted as he watched you between sips.
“that’s not true, i just—“
“you just what haji? don’t pay attention to your girlfriend? i’m wounded truly.” you feigned pseudo offence, oikawa watched from a distance holding back a laugh. you were truly a disciple of his.
iwaizumi sighed before bringing your face into his hands, he never shyed away from pda as long as it wasn’t overly explicit. and besides, he really enjoyed letting everyone know that you weren’t up for grabs because you were his. “thank you y/n, i appreciate it.” he smiled causing you to giggle.
“you’re so soft iwa-chan.” you pinched his cheeks jokingly causing him to scoff at the nickname, but the pink tint on his cheeks made his flustered expression quite obvious regardless of how hard he tried to seem calm and collected.
“i should stop letting you come to practice, i’ve had enough of you and shittykawa teasing me.”
“really? so why are you smiling?”

→ this man knows exactly how chaotic practice can get.
→ and he already deals with enough shit from the twins.
→ he’s always known how snarky you are and how you love to tease him.
→ which is why he doesn’t overly encourage you to come and watch him practice.
→ because the twins + you is a trio he doesn’t want to see happen.
→ but alas, he can’t stop the inevitable because that’s exactly what ends up happening.
→ & ofc the rest of the team took a liking to you too and were completely comfortable with you attending practices.
→ obviously you guys team on him, when you’re not bullying atsumu that is.
you rolled your eyes watching as atsumu jogged up to you, a smug smile on his face and a water bottle in his hand as practice was coming to an end. in all honesty, it was routine for him to bother you like this and as much as you pretended to hate your boyfriend’s friend the two of you knew that it was all a facade.
“oh now i see why suna was playing well today, you were watching practice.” he chuckled gesturing his twin brother over.
“really? does he slack off when i’m not here?” you peeked over atsumu’s shoulder to see both your boyfriend and osamu walking over in your direction.
the faux blonde nodded furiously at your words, kissing his teeth in fake disappointment at suna’s lack of effort sometimes.
“rin is this true? do you play better when i’m here? is it because you wanna impress me?” you walked over to him tugging at his shirt causing him to sigh.
“yeah rin, is it true?” osamu mocked causing the three of you to break out into laughter.
“i don’t know why i put up with you.” suna flung his arm over your shoulder pulling you closer to him as he attempted to scroll through his phone.
“yeah suna, just remind everyone in the room how single we are.” atsumu scoffed as he continued whining to osamu who stopped paying attention long ago.
“what are you doing?” you asked your boyfriend as you peered at his screen, he was scrolling through pictures of you he had taken on his camera roll from times the two of you had spent together.
“looking for a new wallpaper.”
“simp.” you and both the twins said in unison with another chuckle, this time suna rolled his eyes but you could tell he was amused.
“do you love me that much? you’re so cute rin.” you pinched his cheeks causing him to huff and flick you away.
“no, let me give you a hug.” you practically chased him around the gymnasium until it was time for the two of you to leave, let’s just say the twins were impressed at your stamina.

heyo~ i saw your kageyama and hinata in na poly relationsip headcanons and i was wondering if you could do that with kenma and hinata with a gn s/o? if his makes you uncomfortable in any way feel free to ignore this!
A/N: omg cutest trio going for sure! <3
Warnings: Polyamory
>>>>—————————>
Tumblr media
A Polyamorous Relationship with Hinata Shōyō and Kozume Kenma would include:
• You and Hinata are usually the ones to initiate physical affection, especially spontaneously, but Kozume readily accepts without protest. Unless he’s gaming then he might hold you back with his foot but that’s your boyfriend for you.
• If Kenma starts it, it’s usually very gently - like he’ll slowly snuggle into your side if you’re sitting next to each other and you only realise once you go to move and bam he’s cuddling you. How? When? Now you can’t move. (He’s like a cat.)
• Hinata is always so vibrant and it draws you into practicing Volleyball with him. He’s even managed to get Kenma to be his Setter (for a max of 5 mins) whilst you blocked. Hinata will teach you anything you wanna know about the sport, and just enjoys you both partaking in what he loves. He’ll return the gesture too.
• If you get bored, you’ll ask to play with Kenmas’ hair - he says no, but Shōyō is all for it and will sit in front of you for up to an hour without getting restless - wispy hums escaping every few minutes as he sparks conversation.
• Seeing this, Kenma reluctantly plonks himself in front of you once Hinata has moved and doesn’t say a word. He’s playing on his switch but hands you back a hair tie or something which is basically the ‘go ahead, do what you will’. Hinata will probably try and do yours bless him.
• Kenma is the one who judges you both the most, any antics that Hinata and you get up to is usually dissed - but somehow caught on camera the second you mess up.
• “I hate you both.” Kozume - after you’ve roped into something he deemed unnecessary.
“No Kenma, you love us.”
“...Do I though?” It’s his way of agreeing since he has a hard time saying ‘I love you’ when he’s flustered, how he hides his blush in his hoodie is all the evidence you need tbh.
• “Can you sponsor me?”
“No.”
“But you sponsor Shōyō, that’s favouritism y’know.” You’re smirking at him, a light nudge to his side as he shoots a subtle glare your way.
“I’ll show you whose my favourite kitten~” It’s unexpected from him and you’re blushing furiously once he kissed you - then Hinata bursts in and is offended at the attention he’s not receiving.
“That’s favouritism! We love equally in this house!” Then he tackles you both, and Kenma just mumbles either sweet whispers or profanity during the impromptu cuddle session depending on his mood.
• But don’t be surprised if you receive that item you were eyeing in the shops months ago the following day.
• You and Kenma team up to watch Hinatas’ games, if you go to the arena he’s got the best seats in the house and Hinata will always wave to you guys.
If they’re courtside seats, then he’ll kiss you both before the game for good luck. Then either seeks comfort or just jumps the barrier into your arms depending on the games outcome afterwards.
• Sometimes you stay at home to watch Volleyball though, the laptop in front of you and Kenma whilst sharing a blanket and snacks as MSBY play. In these cases Hinata either waves or winks directly at the camera for you guys - you both blush every time and swear he knows he has this effect on you despite being miles away!
• When Hinata comes back from Brazil, he always has new recipes with him and ropes you into the kitchen to help. The two of gave fun and make a mess sometimes, Kenma can hear the giggling screams and always comes out to a creative dinner prepared by his two favourite people.
• Kenma and Hinata will support whatever you do too, Hinata is enthusiastic to help you whilst Kenma has a variety of resources at his disposal if you need it. Very good boyfriends yes. Hinata has been known to fall asleep on your shoulder or in your lap if you’re working though.
• Most of Kodzukens’ followers know who you are, since you and Hinata have gatecrashed his live streams multiple times. An iconic one that haunts Kenma to this very day was when you both kissed each of his cheeks and he became so flustered he couldn’t utter a coherent sentence for 2 minutes. It was adorable - he kicked you out but worth it.
• Hinata always invites you into his workouts and you agreed to go running with him. Kenma went with ‘nah and you can’t make me either’ - you can, just plead a little and he’ll cave.
If you’re not a runner, you and Kenma give up mid-way and walk to the nearest Café for breakfast - Shōyō has lapped you guys by now and skids to a halt in front of the window like:
“What. Is. This?!”
Then you slide a protein shake and piece of fruit his way and all is forgiven, except that he made you and Kenma go on a longer run than agreed but... he’ll make it up to guys.
• Since Kenma established Bouncing Ball Corp and is wealthy, he’ll take you both on national or international business trips. Plus he’ll buy you gifts that he knows you really wanted but aimed to get yourselves.
“Kenma! It’s gorgeous but I can’t afford it right now.”
“I know, that’s why I brought it for you.” He’s incredibly nonchalant about it, and is avoiding your gaze completely - but doesn’t miss how they’re sparkling.
“Yes but I can’t acc-“
“It’s fine, you made dinner for us yesterday.”
“That’s not the same and you know it!”
“Its my way of saying I love you, now I need to trial this new game so just enjoy the gift ok.” Its muttered so fast as he leaves the room you don’t get the chance to catch him.
• Hinata will burst in later wearing this brand new Atlético San Juan Team hoodie that Kenma ordered and immediately meets your gaze.
“He got you too huh?”
“Yep~ I’m gonna bury him in hugs and kisses!”
“Wait Shō he’s gaming— let me help at least!”
Instant regret on Kenmas behalf, questions why he continues to do this whilst immobilised. Then he sees the bright grins on your faces and - ah that’s why.
• There’ll be gaming marathons when you can allow, and they can get quite rowdy and competitive depending on company.
• The house is usually full of life, either because of the resident sunshine or the familiar faces that constantly litter it. You’ll have Nekoma grads, pro Volleyball athletes and Karasuno grads over and sometimes at the same time since they’re all familiar with each other since High School.
It’s like home.
• But you can always count on collapsing into the warm embraces of Kenma and Hinata after a long night of entertaining everyone. It’s peaceful and you’ll laugh about what happened all whilst fingertips dance across skin and hug each other close. That’s what love is though isn’t it?

Look at Me, Senpai - Hinata x Reader x Daichi
Summary: Reader starts to see Hinata in a different light once he returns from Brazil. It turns out Hinata’s inability to give up isn’t just something restricted to the court. (~3.6k words)
Warnings: fem!reader, nsfw, infidelity, a touch of the yandere
A/N: This got really long so I split it in half lmfao, expect part 2 in a couple of days.
Part 1|| Part 2 || Part 3 || Part 4 || Part 5
---
Senpai, I like you.
As you continued to sit courtside, watching Karasuno’s team overtake the opposition led by your boyfriend Daichi Sawamura, your eyes briefly settled on Hinata, the orange-haired first year. When the ball finally sailed over to him, and he hit it with an inhuman speed, the middle blocker’s signature, you thought briefly about his frank and surprisingly serious confession earlier in the day. How bold! You hadn’t taken it seriously of course - your affection towards him was nothing short of motherly. Plus, he was well aware of how serious you were about Daichi.
What an odd joke, you thought, but you had played along with it despite the fact that you knew he meant what he said, dismissing him with a laugh and a pat on the head.
I like you too, Hinata! You’re very fun to be around!
His smile had only wavered slightly at your words but you could feel his eyes get just a little darker as the twang of rejection set in.
But he was just a baby and this was just puppy love. He’d get over it eventually, right? He’d eventually find someone his own age.
Suddenly across the court, you could feel Hinata’s gaze fall on you again, and he smiled again, but this time it was different. Maybe it was bleed over from the boundless confidence and determination he had whenever he stepped on the court, but something about the way his eyes flashed just for a moment as he looked at you made your face grow just a little bit warm.
[Years pass.]
“So when’s the wedding?!”
Your grandmother’s voice blared through the phone in raucous joy as you laughed and tried to field her many follow-up questions. She, like almost everyone else you had told, was incredibly excited about your proposal, and despite the fact that it was only three days later, the high was already starting to fade and you were getting tired of answering the same questions.
When’s the wedding? Where’s the wedding? How excited are you? Are you already pregnant? Are you going to move into a house?
Between your grandmother, your parents and siblings, your wonderful friends, your neighbors - honestly, literally everyone and their mother - you were feeling incredibly supported during this time. But still, somehow, something felt wrong, and you couldn’t exactly place why.
Once you had finally answered Grandma’s questions to her satisfaction, you hung up the phone and flopped backwards back into your bed with a sigh. Holding up one hand in front of you to display your engagement ring, you inspected the stone carefully, letting it glimmer in the slowly fading sunlight beaming in through your bedroom window.
“Mrs. Sawamura,” you tried out the name in a soft whisper. It had a nice sound to it,  ____ Sawamura. This was what you had always wanted, ever since you had met and started dating in high school. You’d always wanted to support his dreams, whether it was excelling at schoolwork, volleyball, joining the police force… and what better way to do it by agreeing to be his wife and spending the rest of your life with him? So many years had passed with you by his side, this was only the next natural step.
So what exactly was this reticence inside of you? You knew he would be good to you, no matter what, even if you felt that something about your relationship had already started to lose its spark. He had been working longer days and later nights, leaving very little time for you, and with all this time left alone, sometimes you regretted not having spent more time in high school or even later on making friends outside of those people he knew. The problem was that the volleyball team was so warm from the start, and you were so invested in caring for them as Daichi was… maybe this was some form of delayed empty nest syndrome, solidifying as the members all grew up and grew apart.
You checked the time on the small wall clock before you. Daichi wouldn’t be home for another couple of hours, and again you couldn’t fault him for this. The ring on your finger looked quite expensive, so he’d clearly worked hard to afford it.
Maybe you would draw.
Minutes passed, maybe even an hour, and as the sun finally set, you set down your pencil and reached over to your window to close the curtains so that the neighbors couldn’t peer into your home once you turned on the lights. Clicking on the bedside lamp, you settled back into a cross-legged position before your large sketchbook again, now taking a second look at your drawing.
An ordinary but hyper realistic-looking crow now peered back at you, almost as if it were wondering why you had decided on putting it to paper out of all the things that could have come to mind. You looked at it carefully and remembered a single fact about crows:
Crows never forget a face.
---
The next morning was Sunday and Daichi was fortunately off work for the day so you sat with your new fiancé at the kitchen table, listening to him talk excitedly about the week as the two of you shared a large omelette and munched on toasted bread.
“Honestly, you wouldn’t believe some of the stuff I see, babe, it’s really something.”
His laugh was always hearty and you couldn’t deny the sparkle in his brown eyes as he shared work shenanigans with you, so while you were uncomfortable with the idea of him being in harm’s way so often as a police officer, you couldn’t help but smile with him whenever he did. His happiness was infectious, especially when he held your hand tightly and squeezed it just like this very moment, interlocking his fingers with yours as he ate with his other hand.
Once he finished eating, he leaned over to kiss you on the forehead, threading his fingers through your hair.
“Thanks for breakfast, baby,” he whispered, his voice smooth and lowered an octave. With his gaze, he drank up the image of you only in his oversized t-shirt and panties before pulling you towards him so that you straddled his hips as he sat on the chair. With you pressed close to him like this, between his hardening cock and the edge of the table, you could feel your breath hitch ever so slightly in your throat. Years had passed and you were still like this - you were still the shy, bashful girl who dared to date the captain of the volleyball team.
“Daichi…,” you trailed off, as he started to litter soft kisses on your collarbones.
“Do you want to uh…,” he paused and pulled back, a smile spreading across his features, as one of his hands found its way up your shirt to palm your breast, “... start off our morning right?”
He didn’t bother waiting for your reply before his lips met yours for dessert.
---
Parted thighs and many soft sighs later, the two of you lay side by side in pleasant exhaustion. You stared at the ceiling, your cheeks flushed as you pulled air into your overworked lungs. Daichi’s head found its way to rest in the softness of your abdomen and you languidly caressed his hair, your body still buzzing from lovemaking.
Daichi was clearly apologizing for passing out the moment he came home, you knew, and you appreciated his thoughtfulness. As you continued to softly scratch his scalp, the soft glow of the late morning sun warmed the two of you up even further and you knew that this feeling had to be what ballads were all about.
Love.
You loved Daichi. Right?
His fingers traced up and down your thighs, just barely avoiding the dampness of him releasing inside you just moments earlier slowly leaking from your center.
“You’re so beautiful,” he whispered, as his fingers traveled your skin. He always told you this, reminded you were the most wonderful girl in the world.
And he was the most wonderful man on Earth. How incredible it was that you had found each other, you thought, as you lay together for what felt like hours and found yourself dozing off in each other’s embrace.
Yes, this was enough.
---
“You don’t have to go all out babe, it’s just the guys!” Daichi’s loud voice carried from outside the bathroom as you perfected your mascara. You ignored him with a playful roll of the eye even though you couldn’t see him, focusing on perfecting a winged eyeliner sharp enough to kill a man. It had been a while since you had dressed up, and it didn’t hurt to really go all out. This was a sort of mini-reunion anyway and what better way to make your fiancé proud than to make all his friends jealous?
“I thought you said I was pretty this morning,” you called out, as you dabbed perfume behind your ears and at the center of your chest. “Don’t you want everyone else to know?”
With that you posed dramatically at the end of the hallway, cat-walking with a face so straight it was ridiculous until you reached Daichi who stood at the front of your door, holding in a laugh. You burst into laughter once you reached him, falling into his chest.
“Let’s go see your old team!” You said, quickly pushing him away playfully when his eager hands settled too comfortably on your ass. He nodded, deciding to grab your hand instead as your cab approached.
Your car ride was short and your mind started to wander as you idly rubbed the knuckles of Daichi’s hand with your thumb. You remembered him telling you vaguely about one of his teammates returning to Japan, prompting the reunion, the orange-haired one named Hinata who you recalled was nothing short of a ball of sunshine and had confessed to you once.
Senpai, I like you.
Well, he would probably have gotten over that crush by now. It had been years.
The restaurant was loud when you entered, following Daichi closely. A table full of young men almost erupted in praise once the two of you approached.
“Captain!”
Tanaka, who you recognized easily from his shaved head and brash attitude came sailing over to essentially crush Daichi in a headlock, but before he could reach him, the orange-haired boy who had just graced your thoughts a couple of minutes earlier beat him to it, slapping him heartily on the back.
“You finally made it! Did you miss me?” Hinata said, with a grin and for a split second, you thought you saw his eyes flit to you. Without warning, your mind started to race, realizing that immediately your face had started to warm as you watched your goofy little underclassman with a crush talk and tease your fiancé animatedly-
And to your dismay, you realized you couldn’t take your eyes off of him.
---
You couldn’t pinpoint exactly what had you unsettled throughout the lively dinner - was it the fact that even though you sat by Kiyoko, the previous team manager, she seemed to be more focused on eating quietly, a smile on her face as she basked in the glory days with the boys? Or was it the fact that you could see Hinata’s rare but noticeable furtive glances towards you, the ones that Daichi seemed to miss now that he was more than a little drunk judging by how red he was in the face? Maybe it was the fact that you were trying to understand what was this sudden gravitational pull you felt towards Hinata at first glance, something that made very little sense to you and seemed oh-so-very-wrong.
Was it the fact that while he was still shorter than average for a volleyball player, his time in Brazil had tanned his skin nicely, bringing out the well toned muscles in his shoulders or arms? Or that while his eyes were still bright and kind, the angles in his face had grown sharper and his smile had made the very slight shift from determined to confident and almost even cocky?
What the hell was it that had you suddenly so distracted?
You fiddled with the ring on your finger above the table between bites of grilled meat and poured sake, trying desperately to make small talk with Kiyoko, only to be disappointed by how unsuccessful you were in engaging yourself in meaningful conversation.
Eventually you decided to get up for some fresh air, giving Daichi a little nudge on the back to let him know you were stepping out and took a seat in a small chair set outside the chilly restaurant meant for smokers. It was nice to have a little more quiet, and you briefly pondered if Daichi would be okay with you going home first.
Something was terribly, terribly wrong, and it was about to get way worse since it turned out that Hinata had followed you out.
“Heya!” Hinata’s voice startled you as he approached, quickly taking a seat beside you. Your face flushing for the second time today (you blamed it on the alcohol, of course), you eked out a hello, mentally shaming yourself for being so awkward.
“You were quiet in there...”
“A-ah, yes! It’s just I haven’t really seen any of you guys in a while and we weren’t close, so it was a bit hard to follow the conversations…,” you trailed off, not making eye contact. You decided that a good way to politely add distance would be to re-introduce yourself even though you knew exactly who he was now, and you knew he remembered you.
You stuck your hand out to greet him formally with a handshake.
“I don’t know if you still remember me but I’m ____ -”
“I know,” Hinata interrupted curtly, without looking directly at you and your hand fell to your side slowly and returned to your lap. He stared out at the street with his face unsmiling, a look that appeared almost unnatural for someone like him and then turned back to you to give you a wide smile anew.
“How have you been? I didn’t think I’d see you here again!” He was cheerful again and polite as always, but for a moment you felt mildly insulted, as though he’d implied that maybe he didn’t expect you to be with Daichi for this long.
Maybe you were just overreacting.
...
Yeah, you were just overreacting.
“Mmm, things have been great!” You replied earnestly, fiddling subconsciously with your engagement ring again, only to catch him laying eyes on it but making no comment. For some reason, you didn’t feel like it was worth mentioning either.
Silence sat between the two of you as you stared out into the road again together. Two strangers who’d known each other briefly. You wished he would go back in and the night would be over and you could forget the fact that you were suddenly attracted to him.
Ah, that was it. And that would be it.
Hinata spoke again and your heart thumped at his simple question, “Are you happy?”
You gave him a look of confusion but you could already tell what he meant just by the look in his eyes. The same look he gave his opponents on the court, the one that demanded to be taken seriously.
While, it wasn’t exactly the same look that he gave you when you brushed his confession off those many years ago, it was pretty darn close.
“Y-yes?” You asked, feigning incomprehension. He smiled in response but not with his eyes.
“When’s the wedding?”
The shift of his tone back to excitement was jarringly unnatural, especially since you hadn’t even brought up your wedding, and now you wondered how one person could be confident enough to appear out of nowhere and ask bold questions to a complete stranger.
“I’m not sure yet… we haven’t planned yet.”
“Great!” He interjected suddenly, and rose to his feet. “I still have time!”
Time?
He turned to re-enter the restaurant as you looked at him in shock and incredulity. “Excuse me, time to do what?” You asked, immediately questioning why those words had come out of your mouth the moment they did.
Hinata turned to face you, his smile only mildly sinister when compared to the seriousness of his gaze.
“Time to convince you, of course. I've always liked you from the start, ___, and I think… actually I know that I can treat you better than Daichi does.”
And with that he turned the corner, re-entering the restaurant and leaving you in a complete and utter shock.
---
Who would believe you?
Sweet little Hinata threatening to break up your upcoming marriage?
Sweet little Hinata planning to steal your heart right under his senpai’s nose?
Sweet little Hinata texting you suddenly at 11pm the next day while you got ready for bed just to let you know that he was “thinking of you”?
You looked at the phone incredulously, your other hand still holding your toothbrush wondering how to best respond to the message. The obvious answer was to block his number - you weren’t exactly sure how he’d gotten it anyway, but as your finger hovered over the button, you paused.
Then Daichi turned the corner of your bathroom door and startled, you fumbled and dropped your phone.
“You okay, Shakes?” He joked, as he reached for your phone, but you grabbed it quickly, locking it and placing it facedown on the bathroom sink. You quickly nodded, continuing to brush rapidly.
“Can you believe he grew taller?”
Your eyes rose.
“H-he?”
Daichi laughed. “Hinata, of course. He was such a shrimp, remember? I mean he’s still not that tall, but he definitely looks a lot more like an adult, right?”
“Y-yeah…,” you agreed, sheepishly, as Daichi hopped into bed, leaving you to squirm at the sight of your own reflection in the bathroom mirror.
---
The next morning, you woke up to no new messages on your phone and breathed a sigh of relief, assuming that your non-response had sent the point across to the young volleyball player. With that odd guilt now off your shoulders, you occupied yourself with the first steps of wedding planning, spending most of the day browsing through websites and calling companies. You were determined to do this mostly yourself and do it right.
You weren’t exactly sure what you were trying to prove but over the next couple of weeks, you dove headfirst into flowers and venues and elaborate table accents and fancy invitations and ignoring Hinata’s messages that had now upgraded to thirst traps that kept your eyes lingering on the phone way too long, while Daichi spent more and more time at work, and less and less time with you, until suddenly…
“Daichi!”
For the fourth night in a row, Daichi had come home in the middle of the night and wordlessly crawled into bed beside you as you tossed and turned waiting for him to come home, because that was all you did: waste time until he returned to you, of course. What else could you do? Your world was so small, after all.
And it would only get smaller once you got married. Your miniscule sphere of existence centered around Daichi and you were beginning to resent it.
Was that the reason you were starting to save every one of Hinata’s dirty pictures?
Dirty was an overstatement - you had seen everything up to his V-line and while your artist’s eye could now trace every single bit of his anatomy from memory, you couldn’t say anything he sent you was truly risqué, could you? Maybe he sent those pics to every girl on his phone, or maybe you were different...
That was besides the point. The point was that suddenly the man who lay beside you every night was no longer doing it for you.
“___,” Daichi whispered groggily, revealing that he really had just passed out the moment his head hit the pillow. “I really need to sleep… what’s the problem?”
You faltered, unable to come up with something to explain why you’d just thrown a mini-tantrum.
“... there’s no problem, I was just… never mind.”
Too many things bubbled inside you and were left unspoken that night, and so in order to express yourself, you settled on, or rather on top, something way worse.
“I have to admit, I didn’t expect it to be this easy.”
Hinata didn’t mean to be offensive - howcouldhebehewassuchasweetboyafterall - but the pang of guilt in your chest said otherwise, as you inhaled and exhaled softly under the weight of his muscular body pressed against yours.
Maybe you felt bad, but the feeling was short-lived because once Hinata’s fingers dug into the flesh of your hips and gripped you tightly, firmly, so much so in fact you were sure it was just to prove that for all these years you had really belonged to him, he thrust into you so sharply and precisely that you let out a gasp as the intense pleasure blinded you.
“S-Shoyo!”
“Say it louder,” was all he whispered as he flipped you over before slamming you down onto him hard, sending another wave of intense stimulation through you.
You screamed his name again, tears now coming to your eyes as he bucked his hips against you, bouncing you up and down his deliciously large cock at a brutal, energetic pace, knowing very well that you couldn’t keep up from the short, unintelligible sounds now leaping out of your throat.
“You’ve always been mine, ___. You just didn’t know it yet.”
Warm wetness streaming from your face almost as much as from the space between your legs, you couldn’t find the words to protest. Did you want to protest? Was he right? Wasn’t he right?
Your mind was too hazy for thought, and instead you let selfish desire overtake you for the rest of the night.

It wasn’t like Kageyama to ever hurt himself during a game. He’d always taken the necessary precautions to avoid that: staying hydrated, stretching religiously, and always being mindful of how he moved his body when setting a ball.
But something had gone wrong this game. Maybe it was the nerves of playing in his first college match. Maybe it was the unfamiliarity of not having Hinata there to receive his set. Whatever it was, he was off his game the moment the match started. Fortunately, he had a strong team behind him, and they’d racked up a good amount of points throughout the game. Towards the end, Kageyama had set the ball toward the wing spiker, lifting his arms up and back to hit it toward him in what used to be he and Hinata’s signature move.
But he’d hyper-extended his arms too far, resulting in a pulled muscle near his right shoulder blade. He’d tried to play it off, but you could tell by how he clenched his teeth and rolled his shoulder that he was in pain.
Both coaches noticed as well, and had it have happened to any other player, they would have pulled them out of the game; but Kageyama was stubborn as a mule, and quite frankly they needed him. They were in the home stretch at that point, only needing a couple more points to win; and if anyone could pull it off, it was him.
They made the right decision, the team winning by two points.
The coaches had dismissed Kageyama while the rest of the players were assigned to clean up the court. You watched worriedly as he stalked off toward the exit, twisting his back as he did so in a failed attempt to relieve the pain.
Seeing as no one else was going to, you went after him to make sure he was okay. You were the team manager after all and it was the least you could do. You’d found him in the club room, reaching across himself uncomfortably to rub at his back. He hadn’t even noticed you come in until you cleared your throat.
“Oh. Hey y/n.” He immediately dropped his hand, not wanting to give away how much discomfort he was in.
“You’re hurt,” you stated, frowning in concern.
“I don’t know what happened out there,” Kageyama huffed, disregarding your comment. “I couldn’t get my damn head in the game!”
He threw his arms up in frustration, regretting it immediately as he only put more strain on his injury. His face contorted in pain as he rolled his shoulder in an attempt to relieve the discomfort.
“But you won,” you reminded him. “You set the ball that scored the winning point to be exact.”
He sighed, shaking his head. “It doesn’t matter. I screwed up almost every set before that.”
Kageyama lifted his arm to run his hand through his damp hair, once again being reminded of his injury as he strained the muscle. He audibly expressed his pain this time, wincing as he lowered his arm.
“You’re obviously in a lot of pain...maybe you should go the nurse?” You suggested, concern clear as day in your voice.
“No! I...I can’t. If I do, she’ll tell Coach how bad it actually is; and then I won’t get to play next week.” He knew it was irresponsible to hide the extent of his injuries, but he couldn’t bear the thought of being benched so early in the season.
You rolled your eyes, disapproving of him prioritizing his performance over his injury. “Kageyama, if you play with it in this condition you could make it worse.”
“Don’t you think I know that!” He snapped, shutting his eyes and taking a deep breath soon after. “I’m sorry,” he apologized. Though it wasn’t necessary. Not only were you used to his short temper, but you were attracted to it.
“It’s fine. I didn’t mean to rub it in your face. But at least...let me help you.”
He looked over at you with a quirked brow, wondering exactly how you’d be able to help him. “What do you mean?”
You chewed on your lip, not sure what the best wording would be. Your idea suddenly seemed a lot better in your head.
“Well um...” you murmured, looking at anything but him. “I could try...massaging your shoulder...if you want? I mean, I don’t know if I’d be any good, but...I guess it’s better than nothing.”
Kageyama blushed ever so slightly, his eyes widening as he stared at his feet. You instantly regretted suggesting it, your face growing just as hot as his. Your lips parted to apologize and tell him never mind when he began to grumble.
“Well...I suppose if I can’t go to the nurse then that’s the next best thing.”
Your eyebrows raised slightly in shock. You really weren’t expecting him to say yes. The two of you had become pretty good friends over the summer practice season but you’d never really touched one another before; besides maybe a friendly pat on the shoulder, or high-five after a good game.
“O-okay, um,” you looked over at the couch that was nestled in the back corner of the club room. “Hold on.”
You walked past him and removed all but one of the small pillows from the couch, leaving it for him to rest his head on. His eyes widened when you grabbed the sleeve of his team jacket and pulled him towards the sofa before gesturing for him to lay down. He glanced at you hesitantly before sitting down. You weren’t expecting him to take anything off, which is why you nearly squealed when he slid down the zipper of his jacket and threw it over the arm of the couch. He turned to lay on his stomach, the couch being just long enough to accommodate his tall frame.
Kageyama tensed when he felt you climb on top of him, your legs on either side of his torso as you straddled his lower back. He wasn’t sure what he was expecting, but it wasn’t that. Though, he didn’t have any complaints; especially not when your hands traveled up his back and almost immediately found the spot that was troubling him. You massaged the area so expertly, so diligently that you’d think this wasn’t your first time doing this. You were so focused on the task that you hadn’t even noticed him trying to get your attention.
“Y/N.”
You stilled your hands to signal that you were listening.
“A little harder,” he requested, voice muffled by the pillow.
You nodded as if he could see you before digging the heel of your palm into his back, tracing slow circles over the pulled muscle. Upon doing so, Kageyama exhaled a long sigh that unexpectedly turned into a groan, and you immediately pulled your hands away from him.
“Sorry!” you squeaked out. “Am I hurting you?”
“No, no,” he assured you. “Keep doing that.”
Your stomach fluttered at the command as you hastily returned your hands to his back. A series of grunts, groans, and sighs fell from his lips as you kneaded into his shoulder blade, and you cursed yourself as you suddenly had a revelation.
You were getting wet.
“Roll my shirt up.”
Your eyes widened as you were pulled from thought. “Huh?”
“My jersey,” he muttered. “Push it up so you can massage my shoulder properly?”
“Oh! Right, okay.”
With trembling fingers you grasped the light material of his jersey, sliding it up his back. Your mouth watered at the sight of his back muscles flexing under his skin, and you prayed that he didn’t feel your thighs clench around him. You resumed rolling your knuckles into his back, trying desperately hard to calm down; though it was incredibly difficult with the sweaty man below you moaning like he was receiving the best head of his life.
“Yeah,” he groaned. “That’s better.”
You hadn’t realized how close you’d been leaning over his back, and neither did Kageyama until you let out a shaky breath, the warmth fanning over his neck. You were also unaware of how you’d been rolling your hips into his back ever so slightly, and it wasn’t until you heard him click his teeth that you noticed that he was chuckling.
“I can’t believe you’re getting off on this.”
Your hands froze and your stomach dropped as you registered what he said.
“W-what? What are you talk-”
“You think I can’t feel you grinding your pussy into my back?” he inquired, his tone bored; as if he was asking you the time or something. “Speaking of, I don’t recall telling you to stop.”
You weren’t sure whether to be mortified or turned on, but you were both, and your body immediately obeyed him. Your palms rested on his back for stability as you continued grinding into him. He chuckled again, craning his neck over his shoulder to throw you an amused grin.
“That’s it,” he encouraged. “Such a dirty girl. Have you no shame?”
“Kageyama,” you whimpered, your face growing hot as he watched you with feigned disapproval in his eyes.
Suddenly he was getting up from under you, causing you to fall back against the armrest of the couch. In seconds he was on top of you, one of his knees between your thighs as he peered down at you.
“Is this why you offered me a massage? You wanted to touch me that badly, huh? Wanted me to touch you?”
He leaned down to nuzzle his head into your neck, pressing soft kisses against your skin.
You shook your head furiously. “N-no! I just wanted to-”
“Never knew you were such a pervert,” he continued, taunting you. “And now you’ve gone and made my cock hard, so...”
The knee between your thighs pressed up against your crotch, grinding into you.
“What do you think I should do to you, club manager?”
He began to place wet kisses all over the expanse of your neck, one of his hands roughly gripping your thigh, and you wondered how on earth he expected you to answer him when he was touching you like that. Every lash of his tongue against your skin had you squirming, and caught up in the pleasure of it you blurted out the first thing that came to mind.
“Use me,” you breathed. “Please.”
Kageyama chuckled darkly against your throat before hovering his lips over your ear.
“You sure that’s what you want? After today I have a lot of pent up aggression to work through.” He caught your earlobe between his teeth, tugging gently. “Might break you, baby.”
You had to stop yourself from moaning at the mere thought of him putting you out of commission. His sudden change in demeanor already had your head spinning, and him threatening you with a good time wasn’t helping that. He smirked against your skin as you nodded fervently.
Kageyama pulled away from you and sat back in the couch, resting both arms over the top and being mindful of the one adjacent to his injury. He spread his legs just far enough for you to fit in between, his obvious erection straining against his shorts.
“If that’s the case then why don’t we start with that pretty mouth of yours? I think we can put it to good use, don’t you?”
You nearly threw yourself at his feet, kneeling between his legs and resting your hands on his knees, awaiting instruction. Kageyama appreciated how obedient you were, admiring how you gazed up at him while he pushed down his shorts and boxers in one motion. An inaudible gasp fell from your lips at his size, his cock standing at attention, and clearly you weren’t the only one getting off on the massage.
“Touch me,” he commanded, tone laced with authority.
You propped your elbows up on his thighs and grasped his length with both hands. He hissed as you began to work your hands up and down his cock, squeezing every so often. You leaned closer to lick up the trail of precum that dribbled out of the tip.
Kageyama’s hips involuntarily bucked up toward your face, his cock pressing against your lips. “Fuck,” he groaned. “Spit on it.”
You opened your mouth, letting the saliva drip off of your tongue and onto his cock before spreading it around with your hands.
“Mhm, such a good little slut.” He pet your head as he lifted his hips once more, this time purposely nudging your lips with the head of his cock. “Open.”
You parted your lips in compliance, allowing him to push himself into the warmth of your mouth. Immediately you swirled your tongue around the head of his cock, humming as you savored the taste of him. The hand atop your head grew heavier as he pushed to encourage the rest of his length into your mouth. Moaning as your throat constricted around it, you began to suck.
Kageyama’s head fell back, and his fingers tugged at your roots as you pleasured him. The sound of you choking around his cock each time you attempted to take all of him in was enough to have him ready to cum in your mouth. You yelped around him when both of his hands entangled in your hair, gripping it tightly as he fucked your mouth.
By the time he reluctantly pulled out, you were an absolute mess. Tears streamed down your cheeks, saliva glistened against your chin, and your hair had been ruffled from Kageyama’s rough pulling of it.
He couldn’t recall a time that you looked more beautiful.
Grabbing your shoulder, he pulled you up from the ground with his good arm. He stood up along with you before pushing you onto the couch where he previously sat. His fingers dug into your hips as he flipped you over so that you were on your knees, your upper body leaning against the top of the couch. You could hear him get down on his knees behind you before he gripped the waistband of your track pants, dragging them down to around your thighs. Your ass wiggled as you squirmed in anticipation of what he might do.
“Club manager,” he mused, one of his hands gently caressing your ass before he brought it down harshly with a loud smack. “If only you could see how much of a needy whore you look like right now.”
He rubbed at where your skin bloomed red, soothing the area; only to spank you once again in the same spot.
“Kageyama,” you whined, burying your face into the cushions. “Make me cum. Please.”
He sighed, the warmth of his breath against your rear apprising you of his proximity. “I thought you wanted me to use you?” he taunted, his fingers gripping the waistband of your panties.
Despite his teasing tone, he still slid them down your legs, cock twitching at the sight of your glistening cunt. You gasped when he dipped two of his fingertips into your dripping entrance and gathered some of your wetness, spreading it across your slit. He pressed his thumb against your needy clit, grinding the digit against it.
“Don’t you worry, baby. M’gonna make you cum nice and hard for me, and then I’m going to fuck you as a reward for sucking my cock so well. How does that sound?”
Nodding eagerly, you tried to push back against his hand but he pulled it away. You winced when he brought his palm down to spank you again.
“I asked you a question.” Another slap. “Where are your manners, club manager?”
Something about the way he wouldn’t even call you by your name was so exhilaratingly degrading. “G-good! It sounds good...please, make me cum.”
Kageyama hummed, content with your response as he returned his hand to your pussy. He offered you no warning as he pushed in two of his fingers, immediately curling them to press against that spongy spot inside of you.
He began to fuck you with his fingers, driving them into you relentlessly. You moaned out his name, though it was drowned out by the way you buried your face into the couch. Kageyama didn’t like that, and made it known as he grabbed a fistful of your hair and pulled you away from the cushion so that he could hear you properly.
In fact, anyone within a fifty foot radius of the club room could probably hear you properly, along with the lewd sounds of your wetness gushing around his fingers.
“Kageyama~” you moaned. “G-gonna cum...”
He didn’t need you to tell him that. He could tell by the way you clenched around his fingers, and how you bucked your hips against them, that you were close. Bringing his other hand underneath you, he rubbed at your neglected clit, pushing you over that edge. You cried out his name as you came around his fingers.
Only when you stopped convulsing did he withdraw his fingers from you, and had you been facing him you would’ve known that he brought them to his mouth, cleaning them off with his tongue. He’d also pulled off his jersey, laying it carefully over the top of the couch.
While you caught your breath he stood up from behind you, gripping his leaking cock in his hand and pumping it a few times. You’d expected him to at least give you a minute or two to calm down, which is why you were caught off guard when you felt the head of his cock pushing into your entrance.
He didn’t stop there, filling you up until his hips were pressed against your ass, and enjoying every whimper that escaped your lips as he did so.
“Yes,” he groaned, staying still just to relish in the feeling of your walls contracting around him. “So fucking tight.”
He pulled out halfway before slamming back into you, beginning a relentless pace as he fucked you. He really wasn’t lying when he said that he had a lot of pent up aggression to work through. As scary as he could be sometimes, he was never anything short of nice and respectful toward you. And now here he was, taunting you and pounding into you as if he had some sort of vendetta against you. Nonetheless, you were honored to be the one he unleashed his frustration upon.
“Mm, you feel so good,” he moaned, hands kneading into your flesh. “What a tight little slut you are. Fuuuck.”
He thrust into you faster and harder, your needy whines egging him on.
“The door’s not even locked,” he grunted, his voice shaky as he slammed into you. “Any one of my teammates could walk in right now and see our slutty little manager taking my cock so fucking well.”
His fingers dug into your hips as he fucked you, not caring if he left any bruises. Who else would see you like this anyways? You were his now.
“You really should- ah~ be ashamed, club manager. I mean really: where is your professionalism?”
Your face flushed at his teasing as you whimpered. He already had you so close to cumming, your stomach tightening along with your aching cunt. “K-Kageyama...”
You yelped when he gripped your hair roughly in his fingers, pulling until your back was pressed up against his chest.
“What is it? You wanna cum already, hm?”
You could only moan in response while he growled into your neck, licking and biting at the skin there as his rhythm began to fall apart. “Do it, then. Fuck, cum all over my cock baby girl.”
That was all it took for you to let go, a series of swears followed by his name falling from your lips as you came.
He bit down on your neck as he chased his own orgasm, not having to try very hard as your cunt fluttered around him. After just a few more thrusts, he was moaning into your neck, hips stuttering as his cum flooded your insides.
He released your hair, allowing your upper body to fall against the top of the couch. He leaned over you and pressed soft kisses onto your shoulder as he came down from euphoria. The two of you stayed like that for a couple of minutes before he pulled his softening cock out of you. He watched in awe as his cum dribbled out of you and down your thigh.
He scanned the room for his gym bag, and upon finding it, pulled out a tattered tee shirt with the words ‘Karasuno’ printed in worn letters on the front. Returning to you, he used the shirt to clean you up.
He cleared his throat as he wiped at the mess between your legs. “Sorry if I was...too much. I uh-”
You could barely keep your eyes open, but you looked back to give him a reassuring smile.
“You don’t have to apologize,” you assured him. “It was good. You were good.”
He blinked at you, setting aside the tee shirt and turning your body around to face him.
“Really?”
It was strange how unsure he sounded of himself, considering how he’d just been pounding into you with the utmost confidence just moments before.
You nodded, propping yourself up to press your lips to his in what would be your first kiss. His hands immediately shot up to cup your cheeks, humming against your lips as he kissed you passionately. His fingers traveled toward your hair, rubbing circles into your scalp to soothe any soreness he may have caused with his merciless pulling.
You reluctantly broke the kiss, pecking his lips once more before gazing up at him.
“You played really well today, too. And even if you aren’t, I’m proud of you, okay?”
He nodded, unable to hide his smile as he thanked you.
The two of you helped each other get dressed, and just in time too. It wasn’t long before you heard the whooping and hollering of the rest of the team from down the hall, signaling that they had finished cleaning up the gym.
When the club door was thrown open, you and Kageyama had been seated on the couch as far away from each other as possible, trying your best to be inconspicuous.
“Hey, there he is!”
The players flooded the room, and your eyes widened when they made a bee line for Kageyama. Two of the wing spikers pulled him up from his seat before hoisting him up on their shoulders.
The way they all congratulated and cheered for him warmed your heart, and you hoped that if your words from earlier hadn’t made him feel any better, then at least this would. Though you could tell from the growing smile on his face that he was already in better spirits.
“Alright, settle down you two. Don’t forget, he did hurt himself out there.” The team captain looked to Kageyama as his teammates carefully set him down. “We’re going out for ramen to celebrate the win. You’re more than welcome to come if you’re feeling up to it- you too, y/n!”
You and Kageyama looked at each other before agreeing, the two of you needing some kind of sustenance after what had just transpired.
You didn’t know what would become of your relationship after that day; but it went without saying that you’d definitely grown closer because of it, and you were both eager to see what the future held in store for the two of you.

after setting a ball to your friend, you noticed a short boy by himself in the corner of the gym with bright orange hair, setting and receiving against the wall. you made your way over to him, observing that he actually wasn’t too bad.
“oi, redhead,” you called out playfully. he turned around with a look of confusion on his face, as if to say ‘me?’ “yeah you. i couldn’t help but notice you’re playing all by your lonesome over here. any particular reason for that?”
his cheeks tinged pink at the callout, but he responded nonetheless. “w-well there’s not enough boys for the school to create a boys volleyball club, so i’m trying to get as many hours of practice in at school as i can.”
you nodded in recognition of his situation. “well, sorry to say you won’t get very far if the wall is your only opponent. but you’re certainly welcome to practice with me when my practice is over. if you’re interested, of course.”
“woah, really? you’d do that for me?” he asked in astonishment, eyes going wide as saucers.
“of course i would. i may not know much about you, but i can tell you have a passion for the sport, and it’d be a real shame for that to fizzle out,” you smiled genuinely. “i’ll help you practice...”
it took him a moment to realize you were waiting for his name. “oh! hinata! shoyo hinata.” he introduced.
“well shoyo hinata, i’m y/n l/n and i look forward to practicing with you.” you grinned. a whistle blew behind you, pulling you from your conversation with the boy. “sorry, i’ll see you later!”
sure enough, you found him waiting out by the baseball field, spinning a volleyball in his palm. after a short while of practicing, you realized you had underestimated this kid and the power he can pack in his spikes. it was clear he needed to improve in his receives, but he was in remarkably good shape for playing against a wall every week.
the two of you quickly became good friends, shoyo becoming your number one supporter - aside from your parents, of course. he attended all your games, cheering obnoxiously loud when it was your turn to serve.
over the summer from 8th to 9th grade however, the two of you didn’t see each other nearly as often as you used to. you had to admit it made you sad; the sweet redheaded boy had carved a special spot in your heart and you missed him dearly.
you attended karasuno high school, hoping to join the girls volleyball club and make some new friends. upon examining the club applications, much to your dismay, it appeared that such a club didn’t exist.
volleyball was your passion, and it hurt that you had no way of pursuing it anymore.
hanging your head in defeat and crumpling up the paper, you heard footsteps approaching rapidly from in front of you. before you could look up, a body suddenly collided with you, nearly knocking you over with the momentum they had built up.
“y/n!” a familiar voice cried out. you quickly realized the voice belonged to hinata, who’s arms were currently wrapped around you.
“hinata! i can’t believe you go to school here! i’ve missed you so much!” you squealed, hugging him back.
he pulled away, a look of surprise on his face. “are you kidding? i can’t believe you go to school here! you oughta be wherever the best girls volleyball club is! speaking of that, have you joined yet?”
you glanced down to the crumpled paper that still pressed against your palm. “well that’s the thing, it’s not even a choice on the club application form. unfortunately, i don’t think karasuno has one.”
shoyo gasped dramatically, jaw falling open in shock. “so what are you gonna do? you can’t just not play anymore, you’re so good!”
you smiled at the compliment from the boy, but your expression grew sadder. “thanks, shoyo, but i’m not sure what i can do. this seems like it’s out of my hands.”
a look of determination painted his features as he grabbed you by the shoulders. “no, i’m not gonna let this happen to you. don’t worry, y/n, i’ll find a way for you to play.”
he ran off, leaving you alone with your thoughts in the deserted hallway.
despite having absolutely no idea what he was planning, you trusted the boy. you knew he had your best interests at heart and would do anything to help you succeed, and you adored him for that. you just hoped whatever method he had to allow you to play wasn’t too embarrassing for you; you weren’t too keen on begging some team to let you play for them, but you had a feeling hinata’s plan wouldn’t involve that.
——————————
“please?” hinata begged.
“a girl? join the team? i don’t know hinata, you’d have to run it by the coach.” daichi uttered hesitantly.
“but you’re the captain, daichi, you have the final say!” he reminded him.
daichi sighed. “yeah, you’re right. what’s so special about this girl?”
he watched as hinata’s eyes lit up in excitement when he spoke about her. “well she was the setter in middle school, but that was only because no one else was good enough to play that position. she’s really versatile and she taught me practically everything i know about spiking! she’s also got some mean overhand serving skills; she’d be a great addition to the team! please, daichi, pretty please?”
he looked down at the boy to see him glancing up with a pair of puppy eyes, intent on winning him over. daichi felt he was powerless to do anything but give in, though his description of you did sound pretty great if he was being honest.
“alright, i’ll talk to the coach and see what he thinks. bring her to our next practice and introduce her to everyone.” he said, not missing the bright grin that donned the redhead’s face at his words.
“thank you so much, sir! you won’t regret it, i promise!” he ran back towards the basket of balls to practice serving once more.
——————————
“where are you taking me, shoyo?” you muttered. “can you take your hands off yet?”
he had cornered you back in the main building, insisting you accompany him to some unknown destination he had in mind. since then, he had been walking directly behind you, his hands covering your eyes.
“i’ll show you...” he waited until you took a few more steps. “now!”
you blinked your eyes open to find yourself outside of the gym building. “the gym? what are we doing here, hinata?”
you turned to him and he grinned. “volleyball practice is about to start.”
“volleyball - as in boys volleyball? what am i doing here? am i here to watch you practice?”
he donned a soft smile at your confusion. “no, you’re gonna practice.”
your eyes widened. “i am? i don’t even have any athletic clothes, shoyo, i just have my uniform!”
“i wouldn’t worry too much about that today,” he pushed you towards the doors. “i’ll just be introducing you to everyone today.”
“introducing...? what is going on here, hinata?” you questioned. he pushed the door open to reveal a large group of mostly tall boys, all staring down at you.
most of them looked friendly and approachable, but several of them looked rather intimidating. “everyone, this is y/n. y/n, this is your new team.” shoyo announced.
you gasped, turning towards hinata. “m-my new team? you got me a spot on the team?”
the look of gratitude in your eyes had him blushing a bright pink and he scratched the back of his head nervously. “it was nothing, really. y-”
he was cut off as you hugged him tightly, thanking him for allowing you to continue the sport you loved. “you don’t have to thank me, it’s not a huge deal or anything.”
“are you kidding? it’s a huge deal! i can’t believe you did this for me!” your smile nearly reached your ears.
he walked you around the gym, introducing you to his teammates. sugawara and asahi were incredibly sweet, even offering to set you a few balls to test your spiking abilities, though you declined since you were still wearing a skirt.
the intimidating one you saw earlier - tsukkishima, you had learned - was not as sweet as the others you had met and seemed rather distant, though you hoped that would fade as you got to know him.
tanaka and nishinoya were full of energy and practically gushing over you even though they hadn’t yet witnessed your abilities.
the one shoyo introduced as kageyama shot you a nasty glare. “what position did you play?”
“setter,” you murmured, slightly on edge from the look of intensity in his eyes. that intensity morphed into fury after your words, intimidating you further.
you quickly remembered this was the incredible setter hinata had mentioned several times before. “o-oh! don’t worry, i don’t plan on taking your spot or anything, i’m sure you’re far better than i am!”
“good.” you smiled at him nervously. “if you’re good enough, maybe i’ll send you a couple sets.”
and of course you met daichi, the captain to whom you owed your spot on this team. he was very friendly and personable and you suspected he was the type to give inspirational speeches before games.
kageyama pulled hinata aside, practicing quick attacks with him, leaving you with daichi.
“hinata talks about you quite a bit, y’know,” daichi murmured, catching your attention.
“he does?” you queried. “all good things, i hope.”
the captain smiled down at you. “he speaks very highly about you and your skills. i think he’s got a bit of a bias since you taught him what he knows, but i don’t doubt you’ll really prove yourself on the court.”
your eyes went wide at the faith he already had in you, despite never seeing you play. “thank you, daichi, that really means a lot.”
the boys divided themselves into teams, starting a practice match as you and daichi observed from the sidelines. your eyes found hinata in the back row, who gave you a wide grin and a wave.
you waved back, your heart warming at the gesture. you had only just met the boys, but you couldn’t wait for the next practice.

PART 3 OF ITS YOUR FAULT PLS !!!! I LOVE IT EKDBJSHD
Tumblr media
Well since y’all asked so nicely-
——————
Kuroo x reader - it’s your fault (pt. 3) (final)
⚠️warnings - angst
Pronouns - male, he/him
Tumblr media
part 1 can be found here!
part 2 can be found here!
——————
Sports sucks. That’s what Kuroo knew about (y/n), yet he still egged him on to play volleyball with him. He had a choice to say no, which was what younger him was hoping for, yet he still did it in hope of gaining his affection.
All his life he thought he was annoying. All his life he’d been in the mindset of how annoying he was, and how blissful it would’ve been for him to just disappear off the face of the earth.
So when (y/n) suddenly stopped showing up to practice, Kuroo didn’t expect himself to get worried.
He was starting to miss all the clingy touches, or the ‘good morning, Kuroo-kun!’ every single morning practice. He didn’t realize how quiet the walk was to his classes, or to and from home, when (y/n) wasn’t there to fill the noise on random things he found cool or how his day was. He didn’t know how expensive the drink (y/n) religiously bought him from the vending machine was, even though he bought him the drink with a smile plastered on his face like it was nothing.
“Oh, (y/n)? He quit the team.”
Kuroo dropped the volleyball he was holding. He’d gone up to coach nekomata to ask where (y/n) was, and why he wasn’t showing up to practice. But he was regretting asking in the first place. Nekomata gave him a sympathetic look.
Kuroo picked up his volleyball, gave him the best smile he could afford, and walked away. Why was he so devastated? Why did his heart feel like it sunk into his stomach? Why was his chest hurting like that? He should’ve been glad that (y/n) was finally gone.
So why does his heart hurt so much?
————
Kuroo figured he’d stop by his apartment to see what was going on. It’s been weeks, yet he couldn’t find him anywhere in his classrooms, and he nor Kenma could reach him on his phone.
When he walked up the stairs, looking for the ever familiar door to his apartment, he was nervous. For once in his life when going to talk to the boy, he was nervous. It wasn’t a good feeling, he never felt nervous to talk to him before.
When he noticed the door slightly ajar, he clutched the apology basket of sweets in his hand tighter. He wasn’t sure what he wanted to apologize for, though. Maybe for yelling at him, or maybe for something else.
“...hello? (Y-y/n)?” When he opened the door, he was met face to face with construction workers, and a blank apartment. Kuroos heart stopped beating. A man, who Kuroo believes was the apartment owner, looked at Kuroo, to his schools jacket, and down to his basket saying “I’m sorry (y/n) :(“
“Oh? Are you here for that (h/c)-haired kid?” Kuroo nodded vigorously.
“Sorry bud. He moved out a few days ago.” Kuroo couldn’t hide the devastated frown from tugging at his lips. He mumbled a small “sorry” and spedwalked out of the building.
He spammed (y/n’s) phone, probably texting more than he ever did his whole life combined, with “where are you’s” and “hey look I’m sorry, okay? Please answer me’s”
None of them were even read.
Kenma didn’t react well to knowing one of his best friends moved away so suddenly. Unlike Kuroo, (y/n) was good friends with him, practically attached to the hip. When Kuroo told him he couldn’t find (y/n) at his apartment, Kenma clutched his ds harder and glared at the screen like it was it’s fault for making him disappear.
But as much as Kenma blamed the ds, they both knew it was Kuroos fault.
———
Kuroo strived to be a better person. He came to terms with his feelings for (y/n), and how he could never repeat his mistake again.
He grew to love (y/n), and he messed it up so bad.
He’d be sure to never lead anyone on again, minus when he’d lead his team to victory as their new captain. He’d try and hold less grudges, tell someone when he doesn’t like them, as to let them down easy instead of blowing up in their face, and even bought his team snacks and filled up their water bottles during practice.
Kuroo walked around the unknown streets of miyagi, scanning his eyes for a mop of bleached hair. He knew Kenma got distracted on his phone, but this was excessive, even for him.
Eventually, his eyes landed on two bright figures. Kenmas usual bright blond hair, and a tuft of orange next to him.
“Kenma!”
Kenmas head whipped up, and he shut off his phone, but then a flash of (h/c) came into his peripherals. He looked a little further down and locked eyes with someone who made his throat close up.
(Y/n).
He looked older. Not in the way that he looks physically older, but he carried himself with a somewhat mature, grown stance that made Kuroo so a double take. His hair was slightly longer and he was wearing a black team jacket instead of the red Nekoma jacket he used to wear. Shocked (e/c) colored eyes morphed into an expression of pure resentment, making Kuroos shocked happiness short lived. Kenma walked up next to him, about to ask what happened when Kuroo turned his head away, walking with his head down.
Kenma waved bye to Hinata, when his eyes landed on (y/n). He was talking to a silver headed guy, with a distasteful frown directed at Kuroo. He didn’t say anything though, just ducked his head and walked beside his captain.
———
(Y/n) kept his eyes fixed on the ground, as Nekoma and Karasuno stood in a line, facing eachother. Kenma was practically standing in front of him, shocked to the core, but also averting his gaze. Not just because (y/n), but Hinata next to the boy was staring at him with his mouth agape.
Eventually everyone filed into the gym, Hinata stopping Kenma to talk, while taketora eyed him menacingly. (Y/n) side-eyed the little interaction with an unwanted jealousy. He wanted to talk to Kenma, he WAS his childhood and best friend. But it soon dissipated when he felt a hand on his shoulder.
That jealousy turned into hatred.
“Can we talk, (y/n)?”
(Y/n) slapped Kuroos hand away and stepped past him, pushing him back slightly with his shoulder.
“Don’t call me that. You have no right. It’s
(L/n).”
Kuroo watched as (y/n) stepped into the gym, his lips pressed into a fine line.
—————
(Y/n) sat on a bench in the corner with an obviously closed off aura, watching as people set up the net or the players from both schools talked to eachother. He walked as Kuroo shook hands with Daichi, not noticing the mop of bleached hair sit himself next to him. (Y/n) flinched when he felt something brush his shoulder.
He whipped his head around to find Kenma, sitting right next to him, but looking straight in front of him. He said nothing, and fiddled with his fingers. Guess he didn’t change, even after a new school year.
(Y/n) relaxed a bit and went back to stalking his team and old teammates with a somewhat less intimidating aura. They sat in heavy silence for what seemed like forever, until (y/n) coughed into his Karasuno jacket.
“S-so how you been Ke-“
“So you’re just not gonna tell me why you left?”
Kenma was looking straight at (y/n), with his normal, neutral gaze. It looked like his normal face, but (y/n) knew how hurt he was. He understood, though. He would be hurt too if his best friend moved without saying goodbye.
“I’m...I’m sorry.”
“It’s fine.”
More silence consumed them. Sounds of sneakers squeaking and the rustle of the net being hung up seemed to vanish under the cloud of quiet sheltering them. Kenma stood up.
“I’m not mad. But I know why you left. And I’m not saying it’s a stupid reason, but you should talk to him.”
Kenma walked away without another word, leaving (y/n) to trail his eyes over to his old teammate, now captain. The frown that summoned up on his face came naturally, despite taking Kenmas words to heart.
He also stood up, brushing himself off and turning his cheery attitude back on. Why play a game with a frown when you’re about to destroy your old team?
—————
(Y/n) wasn’t mad he lost. He was actually quite satisfied with ticking off some of his old teammates by receiving spikes or feints no one saw coming. He sort of felt like an inside man. A spy even. It wasn’t enough to secure a win, but (y/n) never really cared for that.
Everyone was bidding their new friends goodbye, or just idly standing by. He promised Kenma to unblock his number, but only if they never talked about Kuroo again. (Y/n) knew he was being petty, but if it meant never talking to that piece of shit again, so be it-
“Stop ignoring me.”
Speak of the fucking devil. (Y/n) didn’t turn around, choosing to clutch the edge of his black jacket instead.
“Then stop trying to fix a friendship that never existed, Kuroo.”
“Oi!” Kuroo grabbed onto (y/n’s) shoulder harshly, pulling him back and making him stumble a little. (Y/n) pried and clawed at Kuroos iron hard grip. As much as he hated to admit it, he missed Kuroos touch, a lot.
“Can we please have a civilized fucking conversation? I’m fuckin begging you here!”
“Stop fucking cursing and let go of me you fuckass scheming bitch!”
(Y/n) swung at Kuroos head, but avertedly missed. He wasn’t sure if he missed on purpose, or if Kuroo ducked. Kuroo grabbed onto (y/n’s) waist, earning a choked squeak, and hauled him over his shoulder. Kuroo looked for a secluded area, ignoring the fists digging repeatedly into his back and the confused stares he got passing by his team and (y/n’s) teammates.
Kuroo practically threw (y/n) off his back, him stumbling down and hitting the back of a wall a bit harshly, and trapped him between his body and the wall. Both of his hands were on either side of (y/n’s) head, and his legs were long enough to trap him in if he tried to escape.
(Y/n) shrunk back into the wall ever so slightly, but kept the scowl present on his face. Kuroo pursed his lips and sighed.
“(Y/n)-“
“Let me go. I don’t wanna tal-“
“GODDAMNIT (Y/N) IM BUSTING MY BALLS HERE TO TELL YOU THAT IM SORRY!” Kuroo slammed his hands against the wall again, earning a surprised flinch from the smaller boy. “FUCKING LISTEN TO ME! PLEASE!”
Kuroos eyes softened a bit when he finally met eyes with (y/n’s) petrified form, cowering against the wall with his arms tucked in shakily. (Y/n) was quick to push past Kuroo though, diving past him and turning around, free from the wall.
“You see-this is what I fucking hate about you! You act so slick and perfect to the point where you lead people on to think they mean something important to you! I wanted to be a writer, Kuroo! I gave that up to spend my time bouncing a fucking volleyball around with you, and what did I get?! Nothing! I only did it for your stupid friendship, yet I didn’t even get that!”
(Y/n) practically had steam rolling out up his ears, and his words dripped with pure hatred with each retort. Kuroo opened his mouth to speak, but (y/n) beat him to it.
“So if you really want to apologize, give me back the blood sweat and tears I wasted on this stupid volleyball shit!”
(Y/n) punched at Kuroos chest with trembling hands. He kept punching and hitting Kuroo until Kuroo gently grabbed his wrists and pulled him into a hug. Kuroo felt him balling his fists into his back, trying to push him away, but he knew he was stronger. (Y/n’s) mouth was muffled by the cloth of Kuroos shirt, yet he still kicked and screamed at the top of his lungs.
“LET ME GO! I WANT MY CHILDHOOD BACK! I WANT ALL THE YEARS I COULD’VE BEEN WRITING OR LITERALLY BE DOING SOMETHING I ACTUALLY FUCKING LIKE BACK! ITS YOUR FAULT! ITS YOUR FAULT THAT MY ARMS HURT EVERYDAY! ITS YOUR FAULT I GAVE UP ON WRITING! ITS YOUR FAULT! I HATE YOU! I HATE VOLLEYBALL! I FUCKING HATE YOU! I hate you! I-I hate...I....”
Yelling turned into incoherent sobs as (y/n’s) punches died out into love taps. Kuroo said nothing, rubbing circles onto (y/n’s) back, who finally gave up and weakly wrapped his arms around Kuroos waist. He stained Kuroo with his salty tears, choking out half assed “let me go”s in between hics and sobs like a broken record.
They stood like that in comfortable silence, Kuroo combing fingers through (y/n’s) hair while the smaller boys sobs turned into occasional sniffles. Kuroo rocked gently from side to side, attempting to calm him down until he was ready to talk.
“I just wanted to be your friend, stupid Kuroo...” his words were barely understandable through the cracks and sniffles of his voice-also being muffled by Kuroos chest-but the taller boy heard every word as clear as day. He rested his chin on top of (y/n’s) head, looking off to the side.
“Sorry. If it means anything, I was stupid enough to hold a childhood grudge against you. You did nothing wrong. I just...i was dumb and disliked you because I thought you were lazy and annoying even though you were anything but that and...yeah. Sorry.”
Kuroo pulled away from the hug, the cold air hitting (y/n) like a truck. He silently whined at the loss of contact, wiping away stray tears with his team jacket. Kuroo awkwardly held his hands behind his back, his tongue suddenly feeling too big to fit comfortably in his mouth.
“...I’m sorry too.”
(Y/n) averted his gaze, his eyes half lidded and puffy from crying. Kuroo looked at (y/n) with a blank expression.
“Why?”
“For um...being annoying or something. And like...bitching a lot. I’m sorr-.”
Kuroo grabbed hold of (y/n’s) shoulders and shook him violently. “Don’t apologize! You don’t have anything to be sorry for! It’s my fault! Let me take the blame!”
“God shut up you’re gonna make me cry again.”
“...sorry.”
Kuroo looked like a kicked puppy, which made (y/n) burst into a fit of laughter. Kuroos ears perked up as he was graced with the sight of (y/n) wiping happy tears off his face and clutching his stomach. It was a beautiful sight, so beautiful that it made Kuroos chest tighten.
Chuckles died out into snickers as (y/n) huffed and leaned against the wall.
“So-what are we? Friends?”
Kuroo hesitantly nodded, watching (y/n’s) face intently for any sign of protest. When (y/n) broke out into a smile, Kuroo felt like he was on cloud nine. Like a weight had been lifted off his shoulders after so long. He felt like he was flying.
“We should probably head back. I gotta go back to my schoo-“
“Yeah. Yeah that’s probably..smart...”
It was kind of bittersweet knowing you had to say goodbye to someone you just got your hands back on, but after (y/n) unblocked his number right infront of him before enveloping him in a hug, he supposed it was alright.
“Bye~! call me~” (y/n) mouthed out, stepping onto the bus. People started asking him if he was crying, or what that meltdown was about, but he just shrugged and put some earbuds in with a reserved smile.
Sports sucks. That’s the mindset (y/n) has, and probably will have forever.
But not when I’m with you.
——————
Epilogue:
“(Y/n)!” Kuroo ran up behind the boy and picked him up, twirling him around before setting him down. Tsukishima visibly gagged while Yamaguchi snickered behind him, stepping off the bus and preparing for the training camp.
“Yo! What’s up! God I missed you and your stupid hair.”
“I missed you too~”
...
“So...are we-“
“Yeah, that’s what we said on video chat right? I mean-if you meant it and all.”
“I DID!” Kuroo picked his new boyfriend up, this time placing a chaste kiss on the bridge of his nose.
“And god I love you so much.”

Pops of color burst across the night sky as everyone cheered below. Sparks drifted from the sky and loud applause as well as the traditional oohs and aahs followed right after. You sat on the sand, knuckles clenched tightly around your yukata, so tightly the bone was just about ready to burst from the skin. You flashed a weak smile at anyone who paid attention to you, yet you fixed your eyes to the ground, clenching your jaw tightly. You sorely regret allowing your friends to drag you out for Ibuki’s special surprise. Why, why did it have to be fireworks?! Why couldn’t you all have sat in a circle and...spun a bottle around, you didn’t know!!
Sighing, you flinched as another one was shot into the sky. Just a little bit more, then you could say you didn’t feel good and could head back to your room and shove your face into a pillow, allowing yourself to cool down from all the excitement and loud booms that resonated within your eardrums-
“Y/N?”
You knew that voice. You looked up to see them looking at you, concern written on their face.
“Are you ok?”
—————
Hajime Hinata
We all know this man has attitude and more anger issues than the other protagonists
He’s got some walls built up due to not knowing his talent and feeling insecure about it, but you were one of the few people like Chiaki who he found himself relaxing around
You both had recently started dating so he didn’t know whole lot about you
When Ibuki had dragged Hajime to the supermarket, he had no clue what she was planning
And he had no idea how you would react
Hajime had been the one who helped Ibuki set up this event, despite not knowing at all what she was scheming when he went to the supermarket with her. He had thought this would be a good couples thing you two could do together! After all, what’s more romantic than sitting together, hand in hand, under the starry sky watching the fireworks?
Apparently, you didn’t feel the same way.
He looked up from where he was crouching down, setting off the explosions, expecting to see you cheering along with the gang with a bright smile on your face. What he didn’t expect was to see you practically curled up in a fetal position, clearly not having fun.
“Hey Ibuki, can you trade off with me for a little?”
“No prob, Hajime!!”
He made his way over to you, noticing the way you flinched as the next firework was launched.
“Y/N? Are you ok?”
“Ha-hajime!! Y-yeah I’m fine! Nothing to worry about!”
“...You don’t look fine. Are you not enjoying this?”
“What are you talking about?? I’m having loads of fu-”
You yelped as another firework was set off, not prepared for the sudden noise.
“Y/N, do you...not like fireworks?”
You didn’t answer but you didn’t have to. Hajime gave you a sympathetic look and took you by the hand, lifting you off your feet.
“Hajime? What are you doing?”
“Just trust me on this. Ibuki! Me and Y/N are going for a little walk!”
“Wowie! Are Hajime and Y/N going to get up to some naughty business??”
“Wh- NO!!!”
You held back a laugh as Hajime shook his head and led you away from the commotion. Side by side, you walked along the shore, the echoes of the celebration fading in the distance.
“Hajime?”
Once he felt satisfied you both were far enough, he stopped and knelt onto the ground. He looked to you expectantly and you sat beside him.
“Ok...what now?”
“Now, we use these.”
Reaching into the back pocket of his pants, he pulled out a pack of what looked like...sparklers?
“I got these at the supermarket when I was with Ibuki. I didn’t actually think anyone would use them, but I thought they’d be fun you know?”
He handed one to you, with a small smile. “We can have our own fireworks right here.”
You nearly burst into tears. “Awwwwww, Hajime~~.”
“Wh-why are you acting all weird about this?!”
You laughed and gratefully took a sparkler. Using the lighter Hajime brought with him, the two of them lit up the metal sticks and watched the sparks fizzle and glitter in the dark. It was peaceful, quiet. You stole a glance at your boyfriend.
“Hajime?”
“Yeah, Y/N?”
“Thank you. I’ve...never been comfortable with really loud noises and I was about to leave, honestly. I didn’t want any of you guys to think less of me, especially you, Hajime. I couldn’t ruin everyone’s fun because of me. But this...this is nice. So thank you.”
“D-don’t mention it.”
You turned to see Hajime averting his eyes, face and the tips of his ear practically on fire, as he muttered under his breath, “A-anytime you need to get away...j-just come to me..I mean, couples are supposed to depend on each other right?”
“Right! Thanks again, Hajime.”
The two of you used up nearly all of the sparklers yet you were grateful you had come out that night. Turns out Ibuki’s special surprise was pretty special after all.

Gundham Tanaka
Funny how you don’t like loud noises, yet your boyfriend has no clue what an inside voice is
It startled you at first, but you quickly grew accustomed to the sound of his voice and you started looking forward to talking to him
One of the things that immediately drew you to him was how much the Dark Devas liked you, therefore you must have had the great power of the dark forces just like him!
You never gave him weird looks and allowed him to talk to you about breeding and the occult
Initially, he was going to stay in his cabin that night, but you insisted on going to Ibuki’s special surprise together so he relented
He cheered and whooped along with the others as the next firework shot into the sky. This was truly spectacular!! The bursts of color across the darkness of the night was a remarkable sight to behold.
Yet he heard the meek whimpers of his beloved as though you had been injured. He looked down to see you were curled in on yourself on the ground beside him, evidently not having a good time like the others.
“Y/N? Whatever is the matter?”
“H-huh? Oh, Gundham it’s nothing, I’m fine rea-”
“Of course not! Have you seen the state you are in? What is bothering you, dark one?”
You didn’t answer, but as another firework exploded and cheers rippled through the air, he saw the way you flinched and how white your knuckles were. He recalled the uneasiness you had first displayed when he first met you and how he had to coax you to tell him you were fearful of loud noises.
He immediately took action. What kind of partner would he be if he allowed his beloved to continue to suffer like this?
“Beloved,” Gundham called out to you as you met his heterochromatic eyes. He crouched down beside you and allowed the four Dark Devas to scurry towards you. Grateful for the distraction, you smiled as they practically ran on top of each other, climbing up on your arms, Sun-D placing himself on your shoulder and rubbing against your neck happily. As you played and cooed at the adorable hamsters, Gundham took his scarf and carefully wrapped it around your head, taking great care to secure it around your ears.
Turning to him with a surprised look, he leans close to your face for you to hear him clearly.
“I apologize that this is the best I can do for you currently. I wish...I wish for you to be able to enjoy the earthly festivities as well, Y/N. The fireworks are quite beautiful to behold. Allow the Dark Devas to keep you company...and I as well.”
You blinked, speechless, but smiled and quietly leaned forward to give him a light peck on the cheek.
Without his scarf, Gundham couldn’t effectively hide the blush enveloping his face.
“Thank you, Gundham. Really.”
“Do not mention it!! It is merely a sworn duty of someone of my caliber to care for my partner!!”
You laughed and snuggled into his side, eyes drifting to the sky. He cautiously put an arm around you and squeezed your shoulder in a reassuring manner as the two of you watched the fireworks inside your own little bubble.
Gundham was right. They really were quite beautiful.

Chiaki Nanami
Sweet and sleepy, she keeps to herself a lot and really only talks when she has something to say
The two of you most likely hit it off talking about video games
You always answered her questions about the world with great patience and zero judgement, and she’s probably fallen asleep on you more than once leading to you two cuddling whether in your respective cabins or the hotel lounge she frequents often
She considered you trustworthy like Hajime
Y’all were practically inseparable, someone has asked you more than once if you two were dating before you had even started
The two of you were curious about what Ibuki was planning so you went together
Chiaki stared wide eyed at the sky, in awe of the pops of color sparkling in the dark. She’d never seen anything like it before…
Oddly enough however, you didn’t seem to be enjoying the fireworks like everyone else was. You looked uncomfortable and she took in the way your body slightly jumped as the fireworks exploded one by one.
“Y/N?”
You looked up to see Chiaki face level with you, her bubble gum pink yukata loosely wrapped around her frame. She tilted her head as her eyes scanned your face.
“Are you not having fun, Y/N?”
“Chi...Chiaki, I-I’m fine, don’t worry about-”
“Are...are the fireworks bothering you?”
“J-just a little, but I’ll be ok, promise! Just enjoy this, ok?”
She didn’t respond, her brows knitting together on her forehead. She seemed to be in thought, but then rising to her feet and holding a hand towards you.
“Let’s get away a little ok?”
“But Chiaki-”
“Come on,” she gave you that beautiful smile, the smile that you had fallen hard for. How could you say no?
“...ok, let’s go.”
The two of you quietly left the others, letting the sound of the waves breaking on the sand and the fading pops of the explosives fill the silence between you.
Once Chiaki was satisfied with the distance, she sat down on the shore, feet brushing against the damp sand the waves had touched. She patted the spot next to her and you flopped down beside your girlfriend. She pulled out a gaming console, the one Chiaki constantly carried on her person.
“Here. You can play this if you want.”
“But...won’t I ruin your score?”
“I’ve already beaten the game twice.”
“Of course you did…” You sighed and shook your head good humoredly, while you watched the screen light up and the soft background music began to play. Your girlfriend nestled her head on your shoulder, her body resting against yours as her eyes drifted shut.
“...Chiaki? Are you sure this is ok? You can go back if you want to, you’re missing the fireworks-”
“I’d rather be with you than some explosives, Y/N. I really care about you...there’s nowhere I’d rather be right now than here.”
You could have cried. How did a girl like her end up with you? Despite the bleakness of your situation on the island, you counted your lucky stars that you were able to meet Chiaki.

“You haven’t even wiped your sweaty backs and you both think you’re good to go?” you narrowed your eyes at the two boys who sheepishly gave you a smile as you lightly scolded them for not taking care of their health, the boys had decided to join a mini sports club after class where you could play for an hour any sport you’d like in the gym. They had promised it wouldn’t affect their studies.
Bending down to their level, you signal them to turn around. The pair furrows their brows, not wanting to be coddled by you in public, when you noticed that they were about to complain, you cocked a brow at their actions and tighten your lips. Begrudgingly they slowly turned around, not wanting a lecture from you.
You first wiped Yuuto’s back and handed him a t-shirt he could change on. As you were wiping Youta’s back with another towel, he suddenly spoke out, “Kaasan, that Atsumu-guy’s looking at you again.” he frowns.
Yes, apparently Miya Atsumu had the time to lounge around at a kids sports club and accompany his friend Hinata who would occasionally be there to help around because he was bored and they were ordered to rest (judging from your past conversations with Hinata these days, you noticed that the young man did not know the meaning of what resting was).
You thought that the little scene at your workplace would be the last time you saw him but these past days, you saw him a lot. It seemed to be getting too frequent to the point where you wondered if it could even be called a coincidence at all, “Do you want me to spike at him, kaasan?” the oldest twin asks as he turns to you, a small pout on his lips.
“Now, now, do you remember the story I told you about the bully last night?”
“Don’t throw stuff at people?” He blinks innocently.
You let out a soft and gentle laugh, the one only reserved for your boys, “Yes, Yo-chan. Don’t throw stuff at people.” you leaned in to give him a peck on his nose in which he immediately moved away and wrinkled his forehead in disgust.
“Stop doing that, kaasan. I’m a big kid already!”
“Hai, hai.” You patted his head and stood up while handed him his t-shirt, “Hurry along and change now, you big baby.”
Atsumu watches the bizarre interaction from afar, he’s never seen you this soft in public. Even when you were dating back then, the most public display of affection you two would have when you were dating was just you playing with his fingers and drawing small circles on his thighs unknowingly under the table (save for that one time where you wiped blood off his nose in public but then again you guys weren’t dating that time so that didn’t count) yet seeing you laughing, wiping the sweat out of the little boys back, and even giving a small peck on his nose was a very different sight to behold.
Daresay, it suited you.
“You’ve been staring at her for quite some time, Miya-san.” Sugawara comments as he puts the last grade-school volleyball on the cart. Atsumu jumps on the spot and rubs the back of his head nervously making Sugawara laugh in reply, “Funny, isn’t it? Whenever I talk to L/N-san, she’s always like ‘okay.’, ‘that’s nice.’, ‘good.’ yet when she’s with the kids, she’s the softest person ever.”
“Yeah…” The blonde mutters, “definitely funny.”
“Heard from Hinata that you and L/N-san used to be together back in college.”
That damn orange haired snake-
“Yeah, two years.” Atsumu clears his throat, “We, we fell out of love though.”
‘You fell out of love.’ he corrects in his head.
“Oho,Fates a fickle huh? Anyways, Me and Hinata are actually planning on inviting Y/N and the boys for dinner, do you want to come with us?”
“I have a girlfriend.” he replies in defense.
Sugawara looks at him, completely baffled by his reply then immediately bursts out into laughter, “I doubt Y/N would care, really…” He paused, “No offense.”
“None taken.” the blonde deadpanned.
Tumblr media
You don’t know why you ended up at a chinese restaurant that night with one kid animatedly chatting Hinata Shoyou’s ear off while the other was openly glaring at Miya Atsumu, “Youta please swallow your food before talking.” you frowned, taking a napkin to wipe the rice off the mouth of the younger twin.
The blonde kept glancing at you but whenever he did, he’d receive a very harsh glare from Yuuto, “Hey watch where you’re looking at, jiji.” Yuuto suddenly spat out loud, catching him in the act this time as he stabs his chicken with a fork.
Sugawara sweat drops at the interaction unfolding in front of him while you try to tell your oldest son to be more kind to the man sitting in front of him, “Yeah. Listen to your mom, brat.” Atsumu frowns, in which the child retaliates with a tongue out.
“Yuuto, eat your food and stop disturbing Miya-san.”
Yet their stare-off seemed to continue as soon as you turned away from the pair  and Sugawara had to intervene before Yuuto would pounce at the professional volleyball player across the table, “You should be nicer to him, Yuuto-kun. You want to be a setter right? He’s a better setter than I am.” Sugawara tries to ease off the tension between the two.
“He’s not,” Yuuto frowns, “I don’t even know why Kaasan says you’re the best setter in the whole wide world, Adler’s Kageyama Tobio’s obviously better!”
You feel yourself freeze up at Yuuto’s innocent babble, Atsumu seems to be taken aback by it too but he immediately regains himself, “Your mom’s got taste that’s all.” He leered at the six year old boy, not daring to back down from the brat’s challenge. Sugawara pales when the tension rises even higher and tries to get Hinata to ease it up but the orange-haired is too engaged into the conversation with the other twin.
“Baby, just eat your veggies and stop disturbing Miya-san.” You snap back to your senses as you evenly try to get him to calm down once again but he refuses, another trait he got from his father.
“Hey troll, the jiji won’t stop staring at kaasan!” he calls for his twin, trying to get him to back him up, “I told ya he was a crackhead!”
Your eyes widen at your son’s attitude and his uncouth table manners, “L/N Yuuto, that’s it!” You suddenly raise your voice, Yuuto’s scowl deepens as he crosses his arms. Everyone in the table turns silent by your outburst.
Anger, Miya Atsumu realizes how many different emotions you manage to muster out today. It was a lot more than what he had experienced with you, he’d usually take these emotions by crumbs back then since it was rare but it seemed that these boys had it easy with you. You were so open to them, so vulnerable.
“We’re going home right this instant after you apologize to Miya-san.”
“I don’t wanna.”
“Yuuto…”
“Y/N, it’s alright-” Atsumu tries to ease up the kid's burden, suddenly feeling bad since it was his fault in the first place and the kid was probably just trying to protect you.
“I said I don’t wanna!” The oldest twin immediately stands up and runs away, you grab your youngest son by the hand who was sadly saying goodbye to his idol as you placed the payment for your meal on the table.
“He’s not usually like this.” You bowed your head, “Sorry Miya-san, I really am.”
He watches you dash away to the direction where your younger son ran off to, Youta trailing behind you as he waved goodbye to his two favorite men and a tongue out to Miya Atsumu, signaling that he too, like his brother, hated him.
“Way to go, atsumu-san” Hinata grimaced, openly judging him for picking a fight with a kid as he munched on his sweet and sour pork.
Later that same evening, you stood outside your sons room, regretting how you handled the situation. Of course, Yuuto was wrong to say that but you should’ve been more mindful with your tone and words. You were their mother and an adult for crying out loud!
“Yuuto?” You knock on the twins shared room, “Baby? Would you mind opening the door for a sec?”
“Kaasan, Yuuto says he don’t wanna!” Youta replies in his older brother's stead.
“Okay,” You calmly reply, expecting that,  “Then can you tell Yu-chan that there's a glass of milk on the counter? I know he wants to drink some after that heavy dinner.”
“He says big boys don’t need milk, kaasan…” Youta paused,  “But he says he’ll drink it later since we shouldn’t throw food.”
“Okay, goodnight boys.”
You slowly head to the couch and lay there, basking in the silence of your apartment and waiting for your son to come out of his room to be ready to talk. As you hear the door creak open, you see Yuuto slowly waddle his way towards the table where his milk was on, “Yu-chan? Can we talk?” you ask, your voice is soft as you slowly made your way to the oldest twin, bending down to his level so you could see him eye to eye, “Oh, baby...Kaasan is so, so, sorry…” You apologized, taking his small hands and resting your head on top of it.
“I don’t like yelling.”
“I know.”
“I had to protect ‘kaasan,” he frowns, his nose wrinkling, “He was looking at you badly.”
“Kaasan deserved it.”
“No one deserves to look at you badly, kaasan!” he exclaims, “You’re the bestest, kindest person in the whole wide world!”
You wondered if they’d still say that when they’d find out you were lying to them about how their father was just right in front of them tonight.
“ ‘Kaasan had hurt miya-san really bad before,” You try to explain to your son in words he could understand and digest as you run your hands through his silky black hair, “That’s why he’s like that…”
“B-But…” he tries to stammer out an explanation but you cut him off with a kiss on his cheek.
“You’ll understand what ‘kaasan means when you’re older,” you smile, slowly standing up and handing him his glass of milk, “Sometimes we hurt people really bad that even saying sorry can’t fix it.”
“W-was it really bad, ‘kaasan?” the boy asks, taking the milk to his small hands and drinking it slowly whilst trying to discern what you were saying. After placing the glass down, he asks,  “Did you break his favorite toy or something?”
“Mhm,” You hummed, picking him up as he stifled a yawn and slowly nuzzled on your neck,“ ‘Kaasan broke something so important, she couldn’t fix it with just saying sorry.”
Tumblr media
“Babygirl, aren’t you looking better these days?”
“You call me that one more time and I swear I’m disemboweling you.” You deadpanned, meeting his dark eyes. Aomine Daiki lets out a boisterous laugh right after when he sees your blank expression, “Still the same as ever, Y/N-chan, you really love breakin’ my heart.” he teased, clutching his heart in fake pain.
“Tch,” You clicked your tongue at the tall basketball player, “Tell that to the women you play around with.”
“I take it the boys are at school today?”
“They begged me to skip it since they heard you were back in japan.” You replied, recalling the twins fake sickness this morning just so that they could see the navy blue-haired giant.
“I’m surprised you even took the time off to see little ol’ me.”
“Don’t kid yourself.”
“Hn,” He hummed, leaning in closely as he rested his head on his palm, “I got news by the way, I was at our hometown and I bumped into obaasan.”
You cross your legs and lean back on the chair, the mere mention of your mother had you automatically on edge and annoyed.
“What did she say?”
“She asked me a favor,” He shrugged, taking in a sip of his banana milk, “Says that she wants to meet up with you… She mentions that ojisan’s gonna make time too, I think they’re going to try to make amends with you.”
“That’s nice.” You dryly remarked, clearly you didn’t care about their apology or their willingness to ‘talk’ it out.
“Don’t shoot the messenger,” Daiki frowns, raising his hands in reply, “And judging by the look on your face, you’re not going to see them?”
Flashes of your childhood and the event that transpired six years ago wormed its way back to your head, it had been so long but its had severely affected and haunted you to this day, “I don’t think I’d ever want my kids near them, who knows what they’ll say around them.” you responded truthfully.
Daiki’s gaze turned soft as he noticed how tightly you were holding the coffee cup, “You got overtime again, right? How about I’ll take care of the boys in the meantime? You know how much they love the huge fridge and pachinko machine in my apartment... I’m also sure they miss their favorite ojisan.”
“Just make sure you hide your porno magazines.”
“That was one time, Y/N.”
You and Aomine Daiki go way back the tall boy lived right across your house and had been your companion since you were the tender age of six. He knew what went around your house, why you were so quiet and expressionless most of the time. At some point, the tall man tried to cross the line of friends to lover but he was only met with the very familiar blank gaze and harsh words of, “I don’t think I’ll ever see you that way.”
The man had no choice but to accept the scraps he was given, he couldn’t really blame you though. After the messed-up emotional trauma you experienced growing up, he knew you wanted nothing to do with the idea of families or lovers.
Yet one winter night while he was in the middle of his training for the national team, he received a phone call from you with two words he never expected to hear from you at all, “I’m pregnant.”
It’s been three years since he last saw you that time and he’s puzzled, who took advantage of you? Where was that asshole so he could beat him to a pulp? Why couldn’t the father be a man and face you? He becomes even more confused because apparently you knew this man very well and you had an intimate relationship with him, something he never imagined from you,  “I broke up with him.”
“W-what?”
“I broke up with him,” you repeated, clutching the ultrasound picture on your hand tightly, it probably looked unrecognizable at that point, “I told him I never wanted to see him again.”
“You didn’t tell him?” He bellowed, he placed his hands on your arms and held you while shaking you lightly, “Y/N are you out of your mind? How are you going to raise a kid in this state? You may have graduated early but you’ve got student loans and yourself to fend for! How are you going to do it? Your parents disowned you for cryin’ out loud!”
“I don’t know.”
“You don’t know? What do you mean? Do you want to have it aborted, Y/N?”
“I don’t know.”
Daiki lets out a frustrated sigh as he lowers his head, realization slowly dawned upon him at that moment, you were running away. Your defense mechanism had always been to run away. Ever since Aomine Daiki met you, he always noticed that whenever you had problems, you’d run towards the opposite direction and never meet them head-on.
They’d pile up to the point that he was worried you’d burst one day.
It had happened once before and it was something he prayed he’d never see again.
“You know you can’t keep running, right?” He manages to croak out softly, looking at you dead in the eye, your face was blank but your eyes held so much emotions in them; grief, anguish, misery, and what pained him the most was that you drowned yourself in these emotions that you probably didn’t know how to express them anymore because you were used to it.
“I can try.”
“You have to tell him, what’s his name? Where does he live? Y/N-”
“Don’t.” You replied, contrasting to the blank tone you were using moments ago, your voice was now soft. He notices that you’re inching closer to him and he observes you as you melt on his arms just like that moment eleven years ago, you’re shaking uncontrollably,  “Please don’t tell him.”
“Y/N-”
“I-I- you-shouldn’t- can’t tell him, please just this one time,” You stammer, begging him with whatever strength you have left, he feels his jacket getting wet. He holds you tight, not knowing what to say anymore, whoever this jackass was, you must’ve really loved him because he’s never seen you this scared before, “just this one time, let me run away from this again.”
Tumblr media
Miya Atsumu feels a tick on his forehead when a very tall, dark, and daresay, handsome man appeared to pick up the boys during the club activity today. He wouldn’t openly admit it but he wanted to talk to you after that little fiasco that he had with that brat but when this guy appeared out of nowhere instead of you.
He was beyond annoyed.
He couldn’t pinpoint where he actually saw this guy but he was very familiar.
“Oh, is that Aomine Daiki?” Sugawara gasped, completely surprised by the tall man’s presence.
“Wow, He’s way too tall to be japanese.” Hinata pointed out, “Is he a volleyball player? I wanna match him!”
“Shoyou no, he plays basketball for the NBA.” Sugawara comments, “I didn’t know Y/N knew him, he’s pretty big internationally and in japan too.”
Atsumu clenched his fists as he watched the brats easily cling onto him and ask him if they brought some gifts for them from abroad, judging by their body language, this guy must’ve been with you since the beginning.
“Oh, ninja shoyou was it?” The tall man suddenly exclaims, going up to Shoyou eagerly with no shame, “I watched some of your matches while I was in Brazil! I’m Aomine Daiki.”
Miya Atsumu wished this guy was an asshole but he was nothing like that, in fact, he looked like an excited kid when he started talking to the little orange-head, telling him how good he’d fit in at basketball with his jumps, “You must be the teachers?” he glanced towards Atsumu and Sugawara, the latter nodded but the blonde didn’t seem that amused by him.
“I’m Hinata’s teammate.” he said through gritted teeth, offering his hand to shake, “Miya Atsumu…”
“Nice to meet you, pal.”
“Daiki-ojisan, jiji’s an old friend of ‘kaasan back when she was studyin!” Youta exclaims randomly, Atsumu wants to snap at the brat for calling him jiji once again but he holds it back because he was still at odds with the other one and he didn’t want to strain whatever he had left with the excited one.
Daiki, on the other hand, feels his body stiffen at Youta’s random fact outburst. You had never told him who the father was until today, all he knew was that he was with you in Tokyo university and that you were very much in love with him.
Did this guy perhaps know who the boyfriend was?
“Friend, huh?” He laughs, taking his hand and shaking it, trying to lighten up the mood, “I heard she even got her first boyfriend there.”
The trio fell into silence at what Aomine said while the two kids tilted their heads at the new word they heard. The basketball player felt confused by the sudden silence and when he noticed the red ears of the blonde in front of him, realization finally dawned on him.
“That…” Atsumu clears his throat, ears tinged red by the man’s forwardness, “That would be me.”
Aomine’s eyes widen, no fucking way, “Wow,” he throws his head back, howling in laughter, were you a masochist? How could you lounge around the father of the kids without him knowing jackshit about what happened and still be alright? He immediately regains his composure, this poor blonde bastard was probably confused since he heard you just ghosted him and left him out of the blue, “You definitely get my respect, Miya-san.”
Atsumu doesn’t know why the man in front of him is so amused or why he’s taking out a scratch paper on the kids notebook to write his number on it, “I hope we can be friends, it's definitely an interesting story to hear how you two got together. Y/N never entertained me and I’ve been chasing her since we were thirteen.” he grins, as if he just hadn’t nonchalantly revealed that you had rejected him more times than Atsumu back in college.
The blonde setter is confused as the navy blue-haired man slaps a phone number on his palm, “Call me when you need a drinking company, alright? Let's talk, I’d love to hear how you ended up together.” the smile on his lips turning wider by the minute.

Captain and Coach
Some time ago, @blueboltkatana requested this to be written: Hey uh, I'm embarrassed to be writing this cuz I feel like I'm telling you what to write, but I've had this prompt in my mind for so long. I was thinking how Daichi wasn't just captain for the crows he had to act like a coach as well for quite a while and so he is used to giving advice and helping his teammates but didn't have someone to do that for him and Ukai of course notices and tells him he can leave the team to him now it's ok, and Daichi breaks down because he didn't even realize how much that responsibility weighed on him all this time. I mean Dadchi deserves a dad sometimes too! If u don't like if u don't have to write it it's ok I don't want to seem like I'm telling u what to do!!
Now it's written 😉 On AO3: https://archiveofourown.org/works/32628205Or, read below ----
When Ukai Keishin became Karasuno high school’s coach, he thought he would be expecting a chaotic team that doesn’t know how to behave with a coach in the room. Turns out, he was wrong.
Sure, the kids could be rowdy as hell and would screw around but they had drive. They put in the effort. They expected a result and in order to get that result they put in as much work they could as possible.
One thing Ukai regrets, though, is the amount of time it took him to realize why the kids are always so much of a team without his interference.
The realization comes after his first Interhigh with the team. The clue came when he was watching his team return to the sidelines after losing, getting ready to line up and thank Aoba Johsai for the game. In his head, Ukai was planning to say words of comfort and a good job. Calm them down a bet, maybe offer a few hugs.
He had to do exactly none of that.
Sawamura already had an arm around Nishinoya, his free arm raised so he could rub Tanaka’s head. He moved around so quickly from one player to the other, patting the heads of the first-years, hugging the second and third years, pulling Yachi and Shimizu into a small group hug. It’d be only a week later when Ukai would realize that even though Sawamura had dealt out comfort and kind words he hadn’t gotten any in return.
It’s not long until exam day comes. Practice continues but only every other day in the afternoon. Ukai decided to test a little theory out.
During practice after his little revelation, he gave a few commands for drills but left the rest to Sawamura. By some stroke of luck, Takeda wasn’t here to ask Ukai what he’s doing and why he’s staring at Sawamura so intently. Just like Ukai expected Sawamura easily steps into a position of command and support, telling his teammates what to do, suggestions of improvements, and words of motivation that make even Tsukishima move a bit faster.
Sawamura is always moving around. Most people don’t notice this with Hinata and Nishinoya constantly running around but even they stop. Not Sawamura. Always looking around to see if his teammates are good, briefly checking if shoelaces are tied, tracking movement, provided perfectly timed words. At times Ukai wonders if there’s something otherworldly inside of Sawamura. No, he’s just a kid who cares a lot more than most.
“Sawamura-kun!” Ukai calls at the end of practice. “Can you stay behind for a few minutes? I want to talk to you about something.”
“Okay,” Sawamura replies, a smile of agreement on his face with no hint of the annoyance or slight fear of having done something wrong that would have been on Ukai’s own face if his grandpa had asked the same of him back when he was still in school. Maybe there was once a time Ukai would have thought of Sawamura as too trusting of a kid with his response but now he knows better. In his own way that doesn’t have to do with education Sawamura is the smartest kid he knows.
Twenty minutes later the volleyballs are back in their cart and hidden in the storage room. The net has been taken down and it’s too quiet. Ukai and Sawamura are the only two left now, the boy’s jacket zipped all the way out with his hands stuffed in his pockets.
“You wanted to talk to me, coach?”
This already feels weird. He’s used to having to pull Tsukishima or Tanaka aside, sometimes Asahi to remind him to be confident, and all three of them have Ukai tilting his head up just a bit. He has to move his gaze below eye level to make eye contact with Sawamura.
“Don’t think you’re in trouble, kid.” He knows that Sawamura doesn’t think that. “I just wanted to give you a tip like you give your friends.” Sawamura’s eyes widen with interest. Ukai clears his throat. He hopes this doesn’t come out awkward. “You’re an amazing captain, the best I’ve ever seen. And even though you’re captain it doesn’t mean you have to pick up everyone’s slack and carry all the responsibility.” That sounds too much like an attack, gods help him.
“What I mean,” he tries again, running a hand through his hair while closing his eyes “is that I’m here to help, kid. I’m not going to steal your spot or anything. Just...you work so hard and I don’t want you stressing too much. So it’s fine if you want to take a step back every once in a while, sit on the side and just take a few sips of water or something. And if-” his rambling is cut off by a wet sniffle and a shaky breath.
Oh hell no.
Suddenly he’s panicking. He never expected this, never in a million years.
“Hey, are you okay?” Sawamura’s head is bowed, a steady hand out of his pocket which struggles to stay steady as it wipes at tears. Ukai quickly moves closer, placing his hands on the boy’s shoulders. “Hey hey, shh, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean anything bad by that.”
“N-no, I’m fine.” The kid contradicts himself by sniffling again. His voice is wet and forced, too small. Ukai already knows that after this he’s going to open a new pack of sigs with how bad he feels. He made Sawamura cry. “It’s just that, just...thank you.”
Ukai freezes.
“I...no one’s ever tried to take some of the responsible,” Sawamura explains. His voice sounds so small, shoulders hunched forward and arms wrapped around himself like a hug. “I don’t want to complain. I don’t want to sound too lazy.”
“Kid, have you ever cried before now?” Ukai can’t help but say. Sawamura’s laugh is humorless and cuts into Ukai. The sniffles are louder and little sobs can’t be muffled anymore. Sawamura shakes his head. A burden, by definition, is something heavy. Generally too heavy to carry on one’s own. And here’s Sawamura not just carrying his own but those of others, making sure that the rest of his team doesn’t feel the pain and hurt and disappointment that can come at any moment.
Gently, Ukai unfolds Sawamura’s arms so that he can properly hug the kid, bringing him close with a hand wrapped around his back and the other on the back of his head, lightly rubbing circles along his spine. Sawamura’s hands, so small, grip the front of Ukai’s shirt, tears quickly soaking into his shoulder.
“You’re a wonderful captain,” Keishin says, choosing to do for Daichi what he does for his team. He’s going to make sure the kid hears these words, understands, and accepts that they’re facts. “You are an amazing defensive and offensive player. You’re willing to dive for the ball at any moment, to try new plays without the fear of failure. Or even if you do have that fear you don’t let it control you. From what I’ve heard from sensei you’re also a really good student.”
He doesn’t know how much time has passed. His throat is starting to feel a bit sore and his eyes had prickled with heat at some time but the words of positivity and support never stopped flowing.
“Thank you,” Daichi mutters at long last sounding utterly exhausted. Keishin ruffles his hair and pulls him back in for a tighter hug.
The next day, Daichi is one of the last people to arrive at practice, his walk leisurely. The hoops are still down from the basketball team’s morning practice. The gym isn’t chaotic at the moment, with most of the players talking to each other or bumping a ball to each other.
Keishin watches as Daichi ignores Sugawara’s greeting. This pikes his interest. He leans forward on the bench and watches as Daichi heads to the ball cart, grabs a volleyball, and walks to where the basketball court’s half-court line is. The boy draws his arm back and launches the ball at the hoop on the other side of the gym. By some miracle, it falls through the hoop.
The gym is silent.
Hinata, Kageyama, and Nishinoya openly gape.
Tsukishima and Ennoshita look like they’re about to go into shock.
Without looking away from the hoop, Daichi points at Tanaka, who is standing by the cart.
“Give me another,” he says, finally looking over his shoulder with an expression of childish glee on his face. Nishinoya beats Daichi to getting a ball and completely fails at getting the ball even close to the hoop. The rest of the team may be confused but Keishin is happy.
This is one of Daichi’s visibly happiest moments. How can he not be happy about that?

Nishinoya had always had a fixation on your chest. From even before you two had started dating he’d sneak peeks at them anytime he could, and once you were dating, he couldn’t keep his hands off them. He would always hug you a little too long, insist on resting his head on your chest with an excuse that it was to hear your heartbeat, or try and be the big spoon where he could drape his arms over them.
The first time you two had sex, he had immeditaly fixated on your chest, sucking and nipping at your nipples until they were sore and you had to push him away. You had continued on that night, but any chance he got he was either touching them or had his face pressed into them.
After, it only got worse. No longer was he happy with clothing covering you, and any chance he could get, his hands were sliding under your shirt, groping at your breasts or pushing your shirt up where he could suck on them.
It became a pastime for him; any chance he got he was sucking at your nipples. Tongue running over it as you relaxed on the couch, or pressed against them as you two slept. He was obsessed, and although you didn’t mind his attention, there were times when you wished he would just calm down with his risky behaviors.
He didn’t seem to care if others could catch you, and his confidence only increased with time. He had started with just gentle touches, wrapping you in hugs from behind where his hands gently cupped your breasts, to sliding them up your shirt even in public.
You had gotten used to telling him to ‘knock it off’, to leave it for when you two were at home where he was quite happy with you walking around without a bra for easy access. However, this silent agreement of “if you were home, it was fair game” often became a problem when you had others around and Noya still insisted on the same amount of contact.
Occasionally you could persuade the man with just soft touches, or allow him to steal you off into a room where he could suck at your chest in comfort for a moment before returning together as if nothing occurred.
Yet as time went on, he started becoming more bold. Especially when it came to his friends being present. Which is exactly how you ended up in your current situation; you two were cuddled up on the couch, your back to the corner as his head leaned on your chest while you watched a movie.
Across from you, Tanaka and Hinata sat on the other loveseat. Their eyes were glued to the screen as images flashed across, but you couldn’t focus on anything other than persistent nuzzling from Noya into your chest.
“Knock it off.”
Your voice was low, refusing to turn to look at him as you forced yourself to continue staring at the movie, even as he pressed his face firmly into your breast.
“Why?” he whined back, matching your volume and you knew if you looked down you’d see wide brown eyes staring up at you as he shifted to look up at you.
“They’re right there,” you responded back, and he let out an irritated huff. His face turned back into you, his mouth ghosting over your shirt.
You could feel his lips moving carefully over your nipple, hot even through the thin layer of your tank top. Bras had long since been banned in the house at his request, and now, you had started to regret agreeing to it when you felt his hands slide up your side and push at your shirt.
Your hands flew to grab his, glaring at him as he pouted out his lower lip in annoyance at being stopped. “No,” you repeated and he nipped at your breast then in objection causing you to shove at his head.
“Why not?” he repeated and you frowned in frustration, eyes flicking to where the others observed the movie, still unaware of what was happening a few feet from them. “They won’t care.”
His words were muffled in your skin as he stared up at you with pleading eyes, his hands shaking yours off as he once again attempted to pull your shirt down where he could have access to it unrestricted.
“Yuu,” you hissed out in frustration, grabbing at his hands even as they pulled at the side of your tank again.
“They won’t care.” He repeated, “they all stare at your tits anyway.” He stated voice low, his voice further muffled in your chest as nuzzled into your body. “They’ll be jealous.”
His hands rubbed at yours, moving to again pull at your shirt and you, again, considered pushing him off.
You thought about making some excuse to why you wanted to move so dramatically, or even go to the other room (and why Noya would without a doubt follow you) but as his tongue flicked at your nipple yet again, you realized you’d also have to possibly explain the wet spot he was attempting to leave on your shirt also.
Which is why you let out your let out a still annoyed huff as you shifted slightly, turning to try and focus on the movie even as your boyfriend accepted your resignation at his actions and finally pushed your tank top to the side, revealing your breast to him.
If his touching and licking hadn’t already made your skin pebble up, the cool air rushing over it certainly did. Especially as Noya pressed his face into your warm skin, then wrapped his lips around it.
He was gentle as usual. His eyes focusing back onto the movie as he sucked lazily at your skin.
His tongue ran over your nipple occasionally, teeth nipping from time to time but over all, he just lighty sucked on it. Just enough to keep your skin taut and your body on edge in excitement at the treatment to it.
Despite Noya’s relaxed demeanor, you couldn’t relax, body tense with the knowledge that at any moment, his friends could look over and see clearly that your shirt was pushed to the middle of your chest with Noya’s lips on your breast.
You knew the three of them were all pretty close friends, but the idea of them catching you two still filled you with dread, unsure of how they’d respond to the fact that Noya was blatantly sucking on your nipples in such close proximity to them.
Especially with the fact he wasn’t even trying to hide his suckling from view with his head turned slightly to the side so he could still watch the movie.
His other hand slid up your stomach. Rubbing at your skin lightly as he felt your muscles tense while he groped at your other breast over your shirt. He was content with this for a moment before his hand dipped in your shirt.
He palmed at the skin, kneading at it in appreciation for a moment before he pushed the shirt aside so both of them were in view.
Noya continued the lax playing with your tits, his mouth occupied with the one closest to his face as he pinched and tugged with his hand on your other. As he squeezed particularly tight, you winced, shifting as you pushed at him in objection.
You could feel the smile on his face as he repeated his action, unashamed as you rolled your eyes in annoyance. Your eyes flicked back to the screen at the same time a sharp gasp of “Oh!” sliced through the room.
You felt as if a glass of ice water had been dumped over you, embarrassment turning your body too warm as you looked back at Hinata who seemed just as startled as you were by the sight in front of him.
As you started to move to readjust your clothes, Noya’s hand spread out firmly across your chest, holding you in place as he continued his actions. His teeth dug into your skin in silent warning as you let out a squeak of objection.
Your eyes flicked to Tanaka then, who looked rather curiously at you two before you glanced back at Hinata who seemed just as red as his hair as he made eye contact with you. His eyes dipped down to your chest which was still partially on display.
“Noya-san, what are you doing?” Hinata’s voice was strained, but you could hear something extra brimming in it even if you couldn’t identify what exactly it was.
“Nothin’,” his response was muffled, his lips still pressed to your chest as he held you.
“Oh.”
Silence filled the room as Hinata and Tanaka both stared transfixed at your chest as Noya continued his lazy movements, as if he was just resting on you rather than actively lapping at your nipple under their eyes.
Your cheeks were burning, embarrassment filling you even as Noya rubbed at your skin soothingly, reassuring you that he was right and the two of them truly didn’t care.
Hinata seemed utterly fascinated by Noya’s actions, leaning forward in his seat while Tanaka’s face remained blank while he watched, not giving any hint to his thoughts.
“Noya-san,” Hinata began again, voice trembling, and this time you recognized what he was hiding in his voice: excitement. “Can I try?”
He seemed almost shy at his request, and you couldn’t help the soft squeak in surprise and objection at the idea as Noya paused his playing with your other tit, considering the request.
His lips popped off your chest with a slight pop from suction, and you couldn’t help but blush as he looked up at you adoringly before his eyes flicked back to Hinata. He shrugged lightly, looking back at you patiently.
“Sure, I don’t mind. She has two. Babe?” he questioned, and you swallowed under his watchful eyes, looking back at Hinata who looked ready to vibrate out of his seat at the idea.
Briefly, the question of if he had ever even seen a woman’s tits in person crossed your mind, but you were drawn from your thoughts just as quickly when Noya rubbed at your chest soothingly.
It was a comforting touch, a reminder that you didn’t have to let Hinata try if you didn’t want to. That, if you voiced your concerns, Noya would just as quickly kick both of his friends out and follow you to bed as if nothing had ever happened.
Yet you knew at the same time, that wasn’t what Noya wanted. If it was, he would have never let it get this far. He would have denied Hinata’s request before he even voiced it, and he certainly wouldn’t be watching you like he was right now.
That fact alone was the reason you found yourself nodding, even as more blood rushed to your cheeks in embarrassment.
“It’s ok,” you promised and both boys grinned at you in excitement.
As Noya gestured to Hinata, the red-head bounded over before he hesitated at your side. Noya shifted then, sitting up as he pulled you up with him.
A pointed look from Noya had Hinata sliding onto the couch next to you, his eyes still glued to your chest as he waited for further instruction.
Noya’s hands found the bottom of your shirt, waiting until you nodded before he pulled it over your head and draping it on the side of the couch as he reached out to knead at your chest with his hands in appreciation.
You could feel Tanaka’s and Hinata’s eyes on you as he played with your chest, Noya’s eyes flicking up to you as he smiled in excitement. He leaned forward to kiss a soft kiss to your side.
His eyes darted back to Hinata, who was watching quietly, leaning forward on his legs with his lips parted. As Noya’s lips closed around your nipple, Hinata took it as his permission as well. He leaned forward, his lips eagerly attaching to your other side as his eyes fluttered shut.
The contrast between the two men was immediately clear. Noya had long since gotten over his eagerness, usually favoring a slower approach and treatment knowing he’d have plenty of time at your breast, but Hinata was the exact opposite.
Hinata sucked eagerly at your bud, teeth grazing it as he nipped impatiently, excited as he was.
You couldn’t help the soft tenses against the rough treatment and Noya immediately sensed it, smacking the back of Hinata’s head with an open palm as he yelped, “oi! Shoyo, be nice.”
A snort of laughter suddenly reminded you there was another man present in the room, who now looked quite amused even as Hinata apologized to you. Eyes flicking up from your chest where the two men were still bickering, you looked at Tanaka in concern.
Sensing your worry, Tanaka smiled softly at you.
“It’s okay,” he promised before you could speak. “I just want to watch.”
Noya hummed in response to Tanaka, rubbing his face against your breast, drawing you back to the men below you before his lips returned to your breast, this time watching Hinata as he carefully imitated Noya.
Hinata’s lips slowly wrapped around your nipple this time as he laved at it with his tongue.
“Better,” Noya responded, voice muffled by your breast--which he refused to give up as he pressed you back slightly with his face, and Hinata chased after it.
Your hands idly came up to both men’s hair as you played in it lightly, smiling as they both sighed happily into your skin while they played with your tits.
Your attention flicked back to the now-forgotten movie for a moment before they flicked down to Hinata’s hips, which were now rocking slightly at their own pace into the press of his hands onto his clothes.
Again, you felt your cheeks heat softly in embarrassment, you don’t know why that action would get that response from you. Surely it was a normal response; much more normal than Noya’s content attitude to just simply want to suck at your chest.
Yet you couldn’t look away from Hinata’s relaxed face as he nuzzled further into your breast, sucking at it firmly as he pressed his own palms deeper into the bulge of his pants. The idea that Hinata was getting aroused by the simple action had a pit swirling in your stomach, alongside the gentle sucking of the two men.
A quick glance up at Tanaka showed you he was also palming himself through his jeans at the sight, and meeting your eyes, he smiled bashfully, dropping his gaze to avoid your glance.
As if he could sense the other men's reaction to you, and your quickened heartbeat, Noya pulled back from your chest. As he looked at you with puffy lips from his sucking, he smiled.
A sight that caused you to squirm under the glaze which had Hinata pulling away from your chest in confusion. He looked between you both, unsure what the issue was.
“Oi, Shoyo.” Noya mused, “Wanna see what else is fun?”

ANGSTCEMBER MASTERLIST (feat. haikyuu!! and bungou stray dogs)
━━━━━━━━✿ ━━━━━━━━
going on a date wasn’t sakusa’s idea, rather, it was a whole conspiracy created by atsumu, hinata, and bokuto, who all had the ‘good intentions’ to get sakusa to get out and mingle with more people. in other words, go on an actual date. his hair was uncomfortably slicked back, his shoes pinched too tightly, and despite how un-crowded the cafe he waited in was, sakusa could feel the discomfort of having to breathe in other people’s air.
‘if this person isn’t going to show up in ten minutes, i’m leaving,’ he ultimately decided. except, that’s exactly when you decided to show up. sakusa’s eyes automatically glanced up when you walked in, searching the cafe, before spotting him at one of the tables.
“i’m so sorry about that, traffic was terrible,” you sat down with a huff. “you must be sakusa-san, right?”
“...right,” he nodded slowly, studying you intently as you quickly checked your reflection in your compact mirror.
“atsumu-san told me about you,” you smiled, lacing your fingers together on top of the table. sakusa observed that your nails were cut short and filed down neatly, something that he approved of. he honestly didn’t understand why people purposely glued long, plastic nails on their real nails.
“yeah? what did he say?” he asked.
“some stuff but...” you shrugged. “does it matter what he thinks? i’m the one you’re dating, after all.”
sakusa raised an eyebrow, slightly impressed at your quick judgement. with that, he tugged his mask down, folded it, and placed it neatly on the table. “you’re right about that. shall we order then?”
first impressions meant a lot to sakusa. he knew people wouldn’t normally use first dates as ‘testing grounds’ but that’s exactly how he saw it. and why shouldn’t he? people dated for a reason and if it didn’t work out, sakusa wouldn’t feel too bothered by it.
part of him did want the date to be unsuccessful because that meant he’d be back in the safe territory he knew so well. second dates, third dates, and everything after were uncharted territory for him. sakusa knew he’d only get more uncomfortable, except for the fact that your first date did go well.
despite the fact that you were late, you made up for it by offering to buy him a coffee. you didn’t shirk away at sakusa’s bluntness, in fact, you seemed to take it in stride as just a part of him. you didn’t comment on or make fun of how he’d wipe his utensils with a clean napkin before eating with them, instead listening intently to what sakusa said about bacteria and utensil storage.
he went into the date with the expectation that he wouldn’t enjoy it as much, a prediction that he thought was fair enough for him to make. but when you asked if you could hold hands as he walked you home and sakusa looked uncomfortably at your hands, you smiled and held your hands out to him. sakusa stared at them for a moment before pulling out his pocket sanitizer and spraying your hands. he searched for any signs of slight annoyance on your face but there were none as you waved your hands to dry them.
“if you’re not too comfortable about holding my hand we can do this,” you offered, raising your pinky at him.
“isn’t this what children do?” sakusa quirked a brow.
“it can be something that we can do,” you smiled, your eyes an invitation to the uncharted waters that had started drawing sakusa in.
it was a risk. but sakusa knew if he was careful, it could be a calculated one. so, he looped his pinky around yours and resumed walking.
as far as first dates go, this wasn’t so bad.
...
“another text omi-omi?” atsumu teased. sakusa scowled, ignoring his annoying teammate as he continued to type on his phone. the annoying part was that his annoying teammate was right and sakusa wondered if he looked too eager to check his phone right after practice
[from: y/n]
5:30 pm: hey sakusa! you’re probably still at practice but just wanted to wish you a good day. let me know if you still want to get dinner :)
it was just a short message but sakusa could still feel that uncomfortable stir in his stomach. the first time he felt that, back when you held pinkies on your first date, sakusa grew paranoid and looked up ‘strange stomach feelings’ on webMD the first chance he got. but it wasn’t anything physical, rather, it came from something else.
“shut up, atsumu,” sakusa drawled, trying to look disinterested as he typed up a quick response to your message, saying that he would be htere.
“what did i tell you guys?” atsumu chided their fellow teammates. “i just knew y/n would be the one to capture our omi-omi’s heart.”
“awww, they must be real special! when can we meet them!” bokuto begged, popping up beside sakusa.
“they didn’t capture anything and even if they did, i think they have better things to do,” sakusa gritted his teeth.
although, he knew that eventually he would probably ask if you’d like to meet his teammates, probably after he’d invite you to watch one of his games. sakusa knew he wasn’t going too fast for his own liking and as he watched you enter the restaurant, once again late and slightly out of breath, he felt that slowly letting you into his life wasn’t such a bad thing.
“sorry i’m late, again,” you sighed, smoothing down your windblown hair with a sheepish smile.
“it’s alright,” sakusa said, removing his mask. “i took the liberty of ordering for you, if that’s alright.”
“is that so?” your bright eyes locked onto his. “well, let’s see if you’ve read my mind.”
“i could just ask the waiter to change your order,” sakusa offered.
“no, no! it could be like a game!” you shook your head. “don’t you want to play?” sakusa didn’t quite understand you, nor your game, but he couldn’t help but feel slightly apprehensive as he waited for your order to come. you took one look at the food on your plate before flashing him a smile.
“well, what do you know? it’s exactly what i wanted.”
sakusa didn’t why hearing that made him particularly happy. “this wasn’t much of a game, to be honest,” he murmured.
“is it because there aren’t really stakes?” you asked.
“precisely.”
there was something playful in the way you looked at him. “if you really like someone, there are always stakes.”
...
sakusa knew just what you meant, he was in uncharted waters after all. but that didn’t mean he couldn’t learn how to sail in such places. he also came to realize that it wasn’t just him letting you into his life, but you letting him into yours. sakusa expected that you were a bit of an extrovert with how openly you talked to him, only to find that you did have a secretive side. the most you’d talk about were your co-workers who got on your nerves or how you wished there were more hours in a day. sakusa noticed that you often dodged around questions, focusing on him instead. knowing how much he valued his own privacy, sakusa let you have your own.
which was why he knew that the two of you had gone through a certain ‘dating milestone’ after you introduced him to your friends. sakusa didn’t really like how everyone focused on him being a germophobe and how the conversation seemed to revolve around just that, which was why he appreciated you being there to steer the discussion topic away. but sakusa made an effort not to be his usual self because he knew how important it was for you to bring him into your world.
“i bet you’re glad that’s over,” you chuckled after the two of you left the cafe. once again, sakusa offered to walk you home.
“it wasn’t that bad,” he murmured.
“that’s a compliment from you,” you giggled, linking your pinky with his as you walked. sakusa would rather die than let anyone on the MSBY Jackals team see him like this, but for you he’d take that risk.
“hey,” sakusa suddenly stopped, tugging you to look at him. curiously, you obliged. “i... know i’m not really the gentle boyfriend type but... you can ask and expect for things, you know? people tend to side-step around me knowing the kind of person i am, well except for my teammates but, you don’t have to all the time.”
you blinked in mild surprise before asking. “so, can i be selfish then?” your eyes gave away your intentions and sakusa loved how he was able to read you and already pulled down his mask from his face.
sakusa had always been creeped out by the thought of kissing people but as he kissed you, it didn’t feel like he was missing out. rather, it was as if it was happening at the right moment.
“can i be selfish again?” you whispered after you and sakusa parted.
“i already have half a guess as to what you’re going to ask,” sakusa smirked.
“can i stay over at your place?”
...
sakusa knew that things would be a little different after you spent your first night together, but he didn’t think they’d be like this. for one, your messages to him dwindled into one-line sentences or phrases, before disappearing completely. sakusa wondered if he had done something wrong. no, he was absolutely sure that he had done something wrong and had no idea how to fix things.
he wasn’t much of a social media user and sakusa didn’t want to be the type of person who’d get angry at someone for tweeting while waiting on a message from them. he thought it would be low of him to call you out in a semi-public space so he’d end up liking your tweets in the hope of getting your attention to no avail.
what had happened?
“hey, sakusa...”
“atsumu, i don’t need this right now,” sakusa grumbled, scrolling through his unanswered messages again before realizing that atsumu didn’t use his usual nickname. he looked up from his phone to find a look of regret on his teammate’s face.
“listen, i... i’ve only heard about y/n from a friend of a friend so i really didn’t know about this...”
“know about what?” sakusa asked, despite the feeling in his gut that he wouldn’t like what he was going to hear.
“i... don’t know if it’s better for me to show it to you--”
“do it,” sakusa clenched his jaw and nodded resolutely. “i want to see.”
atsumu took his phone out of his bag and opened what appeared to be instagram. sakusa didn’t have one and he quickly realized that it was to your advantage.
if he had known about the things you’d post on your stories, sakusa would have broken up with you a long time ago.
...
the club where you were in was miles different from the cozy, little cafe where sakusa first met you. it felt like some sick parallel twist and this only fueled sakusa’s anger and motivation to squeeze past the moving bodies until he finally made his way to where you were.
now all his questions and suspicions had been answered and sakusa was practically beating himself up for not realizing things sooner. when he reached the bar counter where you were seated, engaged in more than just a deep conversation with another man, sakusa didn’t even hold back.
“you’re a bitch, you know that?”
“ah, sakusa,” you regarded him calmly. “what are you doing here? this doesn’t seem like your kind of place.”
“yeah, and you knew that, didn’t you? you took advantage of it,” sakusa practically spat, hoping that his words would deal a blow but your face remained expressionless.
“i’m sorry but it was just all too easy,” you chuckled, crossing your legs over each other.
as angry as he was, sakusa couldn’t help but feel the cold reality of despair. he didn’t want to be right about his suspicions. he wanted to be optimistic after your first few dates went so well. he desperately searched your face for the person he had linked pinkies with and exchanged messages with and had his first time with.
they weren’t even real in the first place.
“you never did love me, did you?” sakusa asked aloud. your laugh was the only response he needed.
“if it’s any comfort, you were one of my favorites,” you cocked your head at him. “oh, and maybe try not to be so guarded around the next person you’ll date. it’s a bit of a turn-off, really.”
sakusa narrowed his eyes as he looked down at you. “the next one won’t be like you.”
“how can you be so sure?”
sakusa scoffed and turned around. the pain was overwhelming, but the spite even more so. you were the kind of person who thrived off toying with other people and giving in to rage would only satisfy you further. sakusa wasn’t inclined to grant you that.
“because...” he stuffed his hands back in his pockets and turned around. “lowlifes like you surely are one of a kind.”

headcanon : they feel jealous
✧˖*°࿐ headcanon of hinata, kageyama and bokuto feeling jealous (the manga has ended today....( ´•̥̥̥ω•̥̥̥` ) </3 )
Tumblr media
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ shoyo hinata
ɞ you were in the gymnasium in which the karasuno high volleyball players were practicing in
ɞ you were close friends with the second years, nishinoya and tanaka
ɞ (the inseparable best friends)
ɞ but, you were also quite well acquainted with the rest of the team
ɞ as you continued to watch their practices and matches
ɞ a certain orange haired male found himself liking you
ɞ i mean, who wouldn’t like you?
ɞ whether he saw you in the bleachers or sitting by yachi in the gym, he instantly became pressured to look good in front of you
ɞ this resulted to him missing a lot of spikes
ɞ anyways,
ɞ coach ukai was throwing volleyballs towards the players as a form of practice
ɞ hinata heard your laughter ring through his ears and he wondered as to why your laugh sounded so gleeful
ɞ he took a step forward as the line shortened and he was able to get a view of you from the behind of kageyama’s shoulders
ɞ you were standing beside nishinoya, chatting animatedly with a smile on your face
ɞ “nishinoya is able to make y/n laugh like that?”
ɞ a bubbling feeling envy rose from his stomach
ɞ the next interaction he saw made his envy bubble evenn more violently
ɞ your hand was ruffling nishinoya’s black hair
ɞ nishinoya had a faint but a definite noticeable blush on his cheeks
ɞ hinata : ∑(O_O;)
ɞ he wondered if the bubbling anger he felt was because of nishinoya
ɞ but instead, it was because you looked so happy with him
ɞ heart ❤️been broke 💔 so many times ⏰ i i don’t 🤷‍♀️know what to believe 💭
ɞ he wanted to be the only person who could make you smile and laugh the way nishinoya did
ɞ suddenly,
ɞ he felt the ball come in contact with his face
ɞ the next thing he knew, he was on the ground with a red cheek and a bloody nose
ɞ “oi bOKE you’re supposed to catch the ball with your hands,”
ɞ “maybe if you weren’t staring at y/n...”
ɞ “w-what? i wasn’t!”
ɞ hinata stood from the ground, slightly dizzy from the impact of the ball
ɞ he saw you running towards him with a concerned face
ɞ he couldn’t tell if he was fantasizing about it or if it was real until he heard your worried voice
ɞ “hinata! are you alright? oh my god i should take you to the nurse,”
ɞ “coach ukai! i’m taking hinata to the nurse,”
ɞ you grabbed onto hinata’s wrist and hurried outside the gymnasium, heading towards the nurse’s office
ɞ once the two of you arrived, you gently knocked on the door, but there was no reply
ɞ “sorry for the intrusion,”
ɞ you slid the door open and to your dismay, the nurse wasn’t in the office
ɞ “sit down hinata,”
ɞ and hinata sat on the bed as you said
ɞ once you had found the items you needed, you made your way back to hinata
ɞ you took the tissue and gently dabbed on his philtrum where the blood from his nose ran down
ɞ at that moment, hinata felt all his bubbling anger and jealousy die down
ɞ the close proximity of you two made him flustered
ɞ it also made him freak out because you had seen him in his bloody state
ɞ “y/n, do you like nishinoya?”
ɞ you took a step back to chuckle
ɞ “him? of course not! he’s my best friend. besides, i wouldn’t like to date someone who finishes half a container of hair gel a day,”
ɞ hinata felt relieved
ɞ “why did you ask?”
ɞ “i-uh oh nothing!”
Tumblr media
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ tobio kageyama
ɞ you and kageyama have been officially dating for a few weeks
ɞ the two of you were able to get close as you were recruited to become their new volleyball manager
ɞ once their practice match had ended, you waited outside the gym for kageyama to exit
ɞ “let’s go,”
ɞ the two of you walked together, exiting the school grounds and exchanging sentences
ɞ “you and hinata were so cool! hinata jumped and he went like bam! but then nishinoya saved it and it went whoosh!”
ɞ kageyama chuckled at your sound effects and hand movements as he found them cute
ɞ you then felt a vibration in the pocket of your track pants
ɞ your eyes brightened at the sight of the caller id
ɞ unluckily for kageyama, he wasn’t quick enough to see who it was as you instantly swiped on the phone to pick up the call
ɞ “hello?”
ɞ “oh my god~ i miss you so much yuyu!”
ɞ “yuyu?”
ɞ “how’s my baby doing? that’s great! you should come visit here sometime,”
ɞ kageyama’s eye twitched at the nickname, baby
ɞ as you continued to talk to the person on the phone, kageyama couldn’t help but frown at the sight of you talking so happily
ɞ his jealousy level sky rocketed when your cheeks turned into a shade of pink
ɞ “w-what? no! o-of course not! when did yuyu learn to say things like these?”
ɞ “what the hell? i thought i was the only one who could make her blush,”
ɞ you side glanced kageyama, “yeah he’s beside me right now. oh! alright, call me back sometime. love you!”
ɞ you ended the phone call with a smile on your face
ɞ you turned your head to kageyama who had a slight pout on his lips
ɞ “why are you so pouty?”
ɞ “nothing,”
ɞ kageyama fastened his pace
ɞ “tell me kageyama,”
ɞ you whined, catching up to him
ɞ but he didn’t answer
ɞ you sighed and ran past him, stopping right in front of him
ɞ you crossed your arms, “were you jealous?”
ɞ the tips of kageyama’s ears turned red
ɞ “no i wasn’t. why would i be?”
ɞ aware of his bad lying, you gave a teasing grin
ɞ “oh that’s good. i wouldn’t want you to be jealous of my four year old nephew,”

˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ kotaro bokuto
ɞ you were standing in the bleachers, attending the match in which your crush would play in
ɞ that’s right.
ɞ crush.
ɞ your crush happened to be the captain and ace of fukurodani academy’s volleyball team
ɞ and he had so happened to have a crush on you
ɞ winkwonk
ɞ akaashi had noticed your presence in the bleachers and he gave a hard nudge to bokuto
ɞ “hey! why did you do that for?”
ɞ akaashi simply pointed to you
ɞ you waved ecstatically to them
ɞ bokuto’s eyes gleamed and he felt a pump of adrenaline
ɞ whenever he sees you in one of the practice matches, he’ll feel more confident as ever
ɞ like he’d play even better
ɞ your power dude/dudette
ɞ you felt a small tug on your jacket and you turned to face a small teary eyed child
ɞ “where’s my sister?”
ɞ “did you lose her?”
ɞ the tear eyed male nodded his head, tears spilling out
ɞ you looked around the bleachers,
ɞ “can you tell me what your sister looks like?”
ɞ “pretty,”
ɞ you gave a small sigh and picked up the male in your arms
ɞ “there’s a lot of people here. i don’t think your sister would’ve gotten far. maybe she’s searching for you! so let’s stay right here alright?”
ɞ the small boy nodded his head
ɞ thankfully, you had brought a few snacks in your bag
ɞ you handed the boy an onigiri you had been saving for lunch, hoping that it would calm him down
ɞ and it did
ɞ and so, you watched the first half of the match with the boy sat next to you
ɞ “y/n-chan, do you have a favorite player?’
ɞ you nodded eagerly and pointed to the grey and black striped headed male
ɞ “his name is bokuto and he’s the team captain. he’s really cool,”
ɞ the small boy beside you tilted his head in a cute manner, “cool? is he your boyfriend?”
ɞ your cheeks instantly turned pink and you shook your head
ɞ while the team were having a small break, akaashi’s eyes squinted at you and he was about to give another nudge at bokuto until he realised that he was already staring at you
ɞ “who is that little boy? why is y/n blushing? is this even allowed? damn that boy! i should be the one making her blush,”
ɞ the tips of bokuto’s hair had peaked downwards
ɞ which meant that he was feeling pretty sad
ɞ “i’ve never seen her blush so hard before. you have some good competition,”
ɞ akaashi immediately regretted his words
ɞ "h-how did i loose to a boy?” bokuto spoke in his pouty voice
ɞ this
ɞ was
ɞ the return of bokuto’s emo side
ɞ bokuto stared at you and the boy with disheartening eyes
ɞ he turned away dramatically
ɞ “no! i can’t bear to see y/n with another man,”
ɞ “akaashi what the heck did you say to him?”
ɞ this was troubling
ɞ the break was going to end in a few minutes
ɞ if nothing was done now, bokuto’s emo side would remain for the entirety of the game
ɞ “bokuto-san!”
ɞ the loud voice of a small male caught the attention of bokuto
ɞ he turned around, with a sad expression and his eyes moved to the source of voice
ɞ it was the child who had been sitting beside you
ɞ “y/n-chan has something to tell you,”
ɞ his eyes then moved to you
ɞ your cheeks were practically glowing red
ɞ because 1. the whole team was staring at you 2. probably everyone on the court and 3. you were sure that the people in the bleachers were staring at you to
ɞ you took a gasp and shouted, “YOU’RE DOING GREAT BOKUTO!”
ɞ there was a faint blush on his cheeks
ɞ by the end of the second half of the match, bokuto had scored majority of the points
