It’s Fantastic
Most of the team is hanging out in the common room, everyone doing their own thing. The silence of the room is interrupted when you look up from your phone, calling everyone’s attention.
“Hey guys? Do we have any plans tomorrow night?”
The question is clearly directed towards one of the older players, as you and the younger players have made it clear that you would not be memorizing schedules.
Alex scrolls through something in her phone for a few seconds before looking up and responding.
“Practice until 6, dinner at 7. After that, we have the rest of the night off. Why?”
“That’s literally perfect! There’s a movie theater not too far from here, can we please, please, please all go see the new Barbie movie?!?” you’re not ashamed to admit that you may be begging slightly.
The others chuckle at your enthusiasm, but all exchange glances. There really wasn’t a good reason that they couldn’t see the move. And judging by the looks on everyone’s face, you weren’t the only one who wanted to go see it.
“Tell you what, Y/N,” Pinoe levels you with a look, “if you can convince Vlatko to let us all go, we’re in.”
“Easy,” you say with full (false) confidence. “He can’t say no to me. Plus, I already rented out a theater.”
—-
It turns out, Vlatko has no problem saying no to you. But, again, you’re not above begging. You beg and plead, until he finally gives in. Honestly, it’s probably so he doesn’t have to listen to you anymore.
Your team was in, Coach had approved it, now you just needed to make it exciting.
—-
“It’s Lucy and Kiera, and Georgia and Le-“ you sing, skipping into the England common room. “Hmmm, I guess that song doesn’t really work anymore. And I didn’t even get to the bridge about Beth and Vivi.”
The England team is somewhat startled by the American who came singing an obnoxious theme song. You had made the song up almost four years ago, after you had signed for Arsenal. At freshly 14, in a new country and away from your family, some of the Arsenal girls had taken you in.
When they realized that going to camp meant leaving you behind, Leah worked some magic and managed to sort it out so that you could go and practice with the team. You clicked with the team instantly, becoming the annoying little sister that they couldn’t help but love.
“Anyway, mates,” you start. Leaning over to Georgia, you whisper to ask, “did I use that right?”
At her nod, you continue, “as I was saying, anyway, mates, I’ve come to extend an invitation for a once in a lifetime opportunity. It’s been called bigger than the World Cup. Who wants to go see the Barbie movie tomorrow night?”
You’re bouncing on your feet slightly as you speak, clearly excited.
Lucy lets out a small chuckle, “good luck convincing Sarina to let us skip recovery to watch a movie.”
You squint slightly at Lucy, somewhat questioning, “you seem to forget who convinced Sarina to let us have a Colin cake for dinner more than once. It’s on.”
“Meet in the US lobby at 7:45, and don’t forget to wear pink,” you shout over your shoulder as you rush out the door.
—-
Sarina agreed with very little convincing. You assured her that all of the girls were okay with starting recovery earlier so that they could go to the movie, and she couldn’t deny that team bonding is always a good idea.
She only had one stipulation, which you easily agreed to. After helping her pick out the appropriate pink outfit for her to wear the next night, you move on to your next project.
—-
You knock cheerily on the door a few times before swinging it open. Your face lights up as you see the two people you were looking for, and you rush towards them.
Rue and Katie pulled you in, hugging you tight. You hadn’t seen them in a long time, and you had missed the women who had watched out for you for so many years. Rue pressed kisses all over your face as Katie ruffled your hair. You pull away from them, giggling.
“Guys, I love you and I missed you like crazy, but that’s not why I’m here,” now, you turn to address the majority of the Ireland team that’s in the room. “I’m here to invite you all to come to a very exclusive cinema screening tomorrow evening. Meet at 7:45 in the US lobby and wear something pink. Don’t be late!”
You shout a quick bye to the two women before leaving the room, now onto your hopefully last task.
—-
“Oh, Sammy,” you say happily, trotting into the room where you found most of the Australian team.
You knew Sam from playing against her in London, but you had become even closer when she started dating Kristie. If she could be your possible future sister-in-law who’s not actually related to you in any way, you had to be best friends. If you asked Sam, though, she may say that she mainly tolerates you.
“Hi Ali, hi Sammy, hi rest of the team,” you rush out, “tomorrow night, 7:45, US lobby, wear pink, please come.”
You nod once, turning and waking out the door. The team sits in confusion for a second, scanning the others’ faces to see if anyone knows what you said.
—-
When dinner started at 7, you ate about two bites before trying to get out of your chair and clear your plate. You get about a dozen glares and a hand catches your wrist before you leave the table.
“I’m full, promise, I just gotta go. It’s almost time,” you protest.
The glares don’t lessen, though, so you slump back in your seat. You pout as you push the food around your plate, the others trying not to laugh as you through what is basically a temper tantrum.
“Y/N.”
Your full first name gets you looking sheepishly up at Alex.
“You don’t have to finish your whole dinner, but you do need to finish your vegetables. Then you can go get ready.”
You still squirm slightly, too excited to sit completely still. But you don’t make any move to bring your fork up to your mouth.
“You know,” Kelley starts in a way that makes it clear that you don’t actually know, “I bet Pressy and Tobs would love a call to hear about how the ‘golden child’ isn’t listening. I don’t think they’ll be asleep yet, how about we give them a call now?”
You stay silent, finally managing to still your body.
“It’s funny, I bet Tobin still has all the numbers of the Arsenal players. And I would also bet that she would not hesitate to call them and tell them the plans are off because someone couldn’t behave.”
She pulls her phone out, then hesitates, “that takes care of England and Ireland, but I’m not sure about Australia. I could have Kristie call Sam, or I could have Chris call Ali. Y/N, do you have any preference?” Kelley fixes you with a look.
Finally, you break, showing a bite of your dinner in your mouth. After chewing and swallowing, you look up.
“I’m sorry, please don’t cancel. I wasn’t trying to be bad, I’m just excited.”
The rest of dinner passes quickly, and soon it’s 7:30. You’re basically vibrating in the lobby, waiting for everyone to arrive. Soon enough, everyone’s arrived and the lobby is a sea of hot pink. With a giant smile on your face, you start leading everyone out of the hotel and over a couple of blocks to the movie theater.
“Was this planned?” Sam leans over to ask Kristie, “how did she have that outfit?”
You were wearing a fully pink outfit that would have made Barbie herself jealous. Meanwhile, the England girls were doling out their pink warm up gear after you insisted that you wouldn’t let anyone not wearing pink into the movie.
Kristie laughs, “no, that’s just how she dresses. Pink nails, pink dresses, sparkles, the whole deal. It’s easier not to question it.”
You were at the front of the group, talking to players you used to play with, players you currently play with, players you could only dream of playing with. There weren’t different countries, there weren’t rivals, there weren’t competitors. There were simply people following a girl dressed in far too much pink.

K-Pop Spotlight: ITZY
ITZY is back on the scene with their new mini-album <CHESHIRE> and a message: there’s no need to overthink if you always trust your intuition. After all, we’re all mad here. To celebrate the new release, we caught up with ITZY to talk about their four new tracks and their favorite tour stages. And, as winter approaches, of course, their favorite snowy day activities. Check out our full interview below!
Tell us about your new mini-album <CHESHIRE> and what you hope fans take away from it.
Lia: This album <CHESHIRE> consists of four tracks. The title song, “Cheshire,” conveys a message of trusting your feelings because there is no right answer amid numerous unclear questions and concerns. “Snowy,” “Freaky,” and the single in English, “Boys Like You,” which was pre-released in October, are also included. We hope you show us a lot of love!
How does the sound and concept of <CHESHIRE> differ from your last release, CHECKMATE?
Chaeryeong: The biggest difference is in the mood of the title song. “SNEAKERS” was refreshing and energetic, while in the new title track, our message blends with a more mysterious vibe.
Congrats on your English single “Boys Like You”—tell us a little about what it’s been like to get to sing that song with your fans on tour!
Yeji: I’m glad we were able to produce a song in the spirit of Highteen as a gift to our fans. We were so happy that the reaction was even more positive than we had expected.
Lia: Thankfully, we were able to show the live performance on our tour. Because the entire text of the lyrics was in English, many more people could enjoy it. It was tons of fun.
What were your favorite tour stages? Are there any solo songs you wish you had gotten the chance to perform?
Yeji: I like “Free Fall,” and it’s very popular among our fans, too. So I’m glad we got to perform it during our tour. Being on stage is an unending source of joy. I would also like to try Yuna’s “Maniac.” The performance is beautiful, and the song itself is exciting. It just makes me want to feel it firsthand. Of course, Yuna’s performance is just amazing.
Yuna: I personally really like “Free Fall.”
One of the new songs on your mini-album is called “Snowy”—what are some of your favorite snowy day activities?
Ryujin: I like to go for a slow walk when it snows. I also enjoy looking at the Han river when it freezes!
Lia: If there’s enough snow, I always try to make a snowman!
Yuna: I really enjoy riding on a sled. I always have had since I was a kid.
What are your must-have items when you’re on the road/abroad?
Chaeryeong: I usually watch videos or listen to some songs, so headphones are a must!
Ryujin: I really like ramyeon. So I take a cup of ramyeon with me wherever I go.
As we approach 2023, what are your biggest goals for next year?
Lia: I hope that next year, we will have the opportunity to take another step forward and grow and present our music to more people.
Chaeryeong: In 2023, we want to show that ITZY still has a lot to give, and our goal is to deliver our positive energy to more people.
Want more ITZY? Check out their new mini-album <CHESHIRE> and the music video for the title track “Cheshire,” both out now!

Halftime Update!
Fifteen days have gone by, and fifteen days remain! I’ve had a few quiet days with a lot going on in my personal life, but I’m back to share some more now that we’re at the campaign’s halfway point- Datewise, that is! Thanks to your wonderful support, we’re well past halfway when it comes to funding, at over a hundred percent! These fifteen days are still plenty of time to push ahead towards our stretch goals, but first, how about a preview of what you’re supporting?
Tumblr media
This is ‘The Hermit’, a witch who’ll be appearing in Letters To A Beloved Ghost. The DLC doesn’t have very many new characters, being mainly focused on expanding the lives of main and side characters seen in the first game, but there are a few and she’s one of them.
“The Tale Of The Secret Knowledge” by Guest Author Kinu Nishimura II
One year after the events in the Clock Tower, the McGermanottas arrive for a summer trip in the town of Mesteri, Washington, to visit the Nozomis. Despite the dreary, hopeless nature of the town, a new mystery unfolds before Stephanie's eyes—but is it a mystery that will allow her to win the battle against herself?
A tale of 'the bonds of family' unfolds in the world of Entropic Float! Though, that's not to discount the burning-hot young love, either... Perhaps it's a bit long of a diversion from your goal of reuniting with 'her', but it's up to you to choose to continue.
More info on the Tale here: https://pastebin.com/kJJDTFbb
That’s just one of the many side stories you’ll be able to find in the DLC- Which, I’ll reiterate, you get a key to download with any pledge above $5 USD! For Entropic Float 2 to be the best game it can be, it’s going to take some time, so I hope that the Letters To A Beloved Ghost will be a wonderful narrative snack in the world of Entropic Float before I can get you the main course.
Moving on to those stretch goals mentioned above!
We’re well on our way to the first stretch of $2,500 ! As a reminder, at this goal, we’ll be able to produce an official cover of the full version of Midnight’s Requiem~
If we surpass this goal, the next in line is musical as well! At $3,000 USD, we’ll get the opportunity to make an actual Renfield Future song- The guy whose design you can vote on if you’ve pledged at least $15 is a musician after all! This song would be featured in both the DLC and EF2, so it’s a stretch goal everybody can appreciate. Help us show off his personality with his band’s hot single!
If we manage to pass that goal, $3,500 waits on the horizon! Reaching this goal allows us to commission several more title screens from the artist Soyokaze, adding versions with different characters and allowing those characters to be added as acrylic standees! In addition, reaching this goal will add a poll for backers to vote between a few options for a bonus side story to be included in the DLC- These would be stories featuring characters from the second game, as opposed to the current lineup that mainly features those from the first, a great way to get another taste of EF2’s characters prior to its release.
Finally, with one last big jump, $5,000 is a stretch goal that would let us add a substantial amount more voice acting! It would still be limited to key moments, but we’d get a few more voiced lines from each of our wonderful VAs to help the characters feel even more alive. And if this goal is reached, every option that would have been included on the poll will be added to the DLC!
Tumblr media
See something that excites you, but you've already got your pledge in? Share this project with a friend or family member who might be willing to help us out! And whether we stretch it out or not, any and all additional funding is a more wonderful Entropic Float 2 and more wonderful ways to thank you for all of your support. Thank you, as always, for reading!

JEMJAMMER - Announcement: The Road Ahead
Announcement Transcript:
Hey everybody! Maq here.
Some big changes are coming to Jemjammer.
You may have noticed we did a LOT of one shots in 2022. We're not going to get into the nitty gritty, but the short version is that Kit has had A Busy Year and no longer has the time to give Jemjammer the attention it deserves. We’ve discussed it as a table, and we decided together that after five years and 100 episodes, Kit will be retiring from their role as Dungeonmaster for the campaign so they can turn their focus elsewhere. We're so proud of the stories we've told together over the last half a decade,  and we hope you'll check out their writing elsewhere going forward.
This is not a decision we make lightly, but it’s the one that will work best for everyone involved. In the meantime, folks who follow I Will Fight You and Date Me, Dammit! will still hear Kit on those shows (and if that changes in the future, we’ll keep you informed).
The wonderful Anna - who you have all heard as both Lachlan and our DM for some side plots - has been acting behind the scenes for a while now as sort of a stage manager and running DM support, so she was the natural choice to pick up where Kit will be leaving off.. She and Kit have already had plenty of discussions about the future of the campaign and its plot, and she’s been given all of Kit’s notes, so she’ll be able to do Kit’s story justice while bringing her own considerable storytelling prowess to a game she’s loved for years.
Now that our 100th Episode micro-arc is complete, you’ll be hearing the final session with Kit as the DM, and afterwards Anna will be picking up full-time. We thank you in advance for dealing with a little turbulence as we safely land this Taphos plane before taking off into the next story arc.
That's the biggest news. Our SECOND set of Jemjammer news actually involves Alexei, who plays Aelfgifu.  Ever since taking over the character from Vicki, Alexei always intended Aelfgifu to be a semi-regular character to account for her busy work schedule (hence the ring that makes her blip into the Feywild at random), but, well, we ended up pulling her into the game on a more frequent basis!
This is changing as well, because Alexei has had some wonderful and exciting new opportunities crop up that unfortunately require her to pull her attention away from the campaign. Because recasting the role again would be silly (and who can really follow Alexei’s perfect Chaos Gremlin Aelfgifu?), we’ll be sunsetting Aelfgifu as a series regular and transition the role to an occasional recurring guest so that Alexei can join the table once in a while. This won't be an immediate change, but we wanted to give y'all a heads up for what's on the horizon. We’ve got some plans for Aelfgifu’s story that we’re really excited about, and we hope you enjoy hearing what’s in store for our Ranger Warlock and her growing collection of Dads.
We know that's a lot to take in - but don't worry, we've got major plans coming, and Jemjammer, I Will Fight You, and Date Me Dammit will all continue goin' strong. We’re so excited for the future of these shows, and we hope you’ll enjoy the ride, like we do.
That's all! Have a good week!
Maq, signin’ off.

Hot Damn
An Everlark Drabble
Tumblr media
Katniss rounded the corner of the hotel hallway, towards the vending area, in search of ice for her cooler. She was on her way down to the beach, where Prim was waiting for her, ready to make the most of their first day of vacation. The annual Everdeen family trip to District 4 was something she looked forward to each year, but especially now that she and her sister lived in different districts and were busy with their respective careers.
I’ve been craving a getaway for awhile now. The past year has been nuts. I really want to relax and unwind.
This much-needed week away from her worries and responsibilities was sacred to Katniss, so though their parents hadn’t been able to join them due to mandatory work commitments, she and Prim had still made the journey to the beach.
I’m really glad we were able to come, even though it’s just the two of us. I’ve missed my sister. And I have an action-packed ‘bucket list’ of ten things I want to do while we’re here. It’s going to be awesome.
As she filled her cooler at the ice machine, Katniss grinned. A whole week with her sister at their favorite beach destination was exactly her idea of heaven. She had so many ideas for how to spend their time together. Massages, beachside yoga, boogie boarding, and surfing lessons were just a few of the things she planned to do while in District 4.
First, though, she wanted to spend some time relaxing under the sun, with a good book, and a cocktail in her hand.
Margaritas by the ocean, here I come.
She had just shut the lid of her now-full ice chest and turned to walk towards the elevator when she collided with a very solid, very sizable something.
“Oof,” she heard a deep voice say. “I’m so sorry! Are you alright?”
Katniss looked up and nearly fell over when she laid eyes on the most attractive man she had ever seen. Blonde and brawny with sky blue eyes, he was breathtaking. The fact that he was sweaty and shirtless, wearing only a pair of red swim trunks with the words “D12 Fire Department” on them, only made him sexier.
Well, hot damn. Hello, handsome.
She was stunned speechless by the stranger’s muscular physique and gorgeous face, likely making her look like some sort of creep as she ogled him, but she just couldn’t look away.
I’ve never seen a more perfect male specimen.
“I’m really sorry about running into you, Miss,” the most beautiful man in Panem said, sounding slightly embarrassed. He winced and looked at her in concern. “I swear I didn’t see you there. I was trying to get some ice for my water cooler, and in my hurry to get back to the guys I’m here with since we’re mid-workout, I completely spaced out.”
“It’s okay,” Katniss replied breathlessly. She was trying to gather her wits but failing spectacularly judging by how husky her voice came out sounding.
Get it together, girl. You’re not a virgin or a naive sixteen year old, so you shouldn’t be this affected by a member of the opposite sex. Take a breath and act normal, for crying out loud.
“Okay, well I’m glad you’re not hurt. I crashed into you pretty hard.” Sounding relieved, the man smiled at her and added, “My name’s Peeta. I’m here for a firefighter training convention with a group of guys from all over Panem.”
He paused, as if considering something, then grinned widely and said, “I’m here for the next five days, by the way, so if you see me around the hotel or the beach, don’t be a stranger.” He winked at Katniss playfully, causing her stomach to flutter with excitement.
I can’t believe someone as gorgeous as him is hitting on me, but I’m not dumb enough to waste this opportunity.
“I’m Katniss,” she answered with a smile. “And I’m here all week, too.”
“It’s nice to meet you, Katniss,” Peeta answered cheerfully. “Hopefully I’ll run into you again, although preferably not literally next time.”
Katniss took in the way he gave her body a very obvious once over, and mentally added one more activity to her bucket list.
Item number eleven: spend quality time with Peeta the firefighter.
She had a feeling it was going to be an amazing week.

I Spent A Night At The World's Most Exclusive Sex Party
It was an evening of luxury, art, and unforgettable erotic experiences.
byHayley Folk
Dec. 27, 2022
Tumblr media
Ibai Acevedo/Stocksy
“I love women, sex, and power,” a woman whispers to me as her fingers graze my mouth. She sits between her newfound lover’s legs, straddling a bench in the middle of a bathroom as he lustfully pulls on her maroon and black lingerie set. I tell her I’m a sex writer. With deep enthusiasm, she takes his hands and places them on her inner thighs, then inside her lace bottoms.
“You see,” she places her fingers in my mouth, “I have all the power here. Make sure to write that down.”
A few weeks ago, I was invited to attend a black-tie sex party hosted by SNCTM (pronounced “sanctum”), a members-only club with chapters in Los Angeles, New York City, Miami, and beyond that has been coined the world’s most exclusive erotic party. Men are required to wear tuxedos with bow ties, and women can choose to wear lingerie, a cocktail dress or both. Above all, the club emphasizes safety for guests by creating clear consent rules in the application process and vetting every guest. Per a SNCTM rep, they screen for “respectful, discreet” people interested in “celebrating and elevating the erotic experience” in a judgment-free atmosphere. Condoms are readily available at every party. Memberships for men run from $12,500 to $50,000 per year; selected women applicants are welcomed at no cost; non-binary people’s costs vary.
Having heard rave reviews from other sex writers I know, I jumped at the opportunity to experience it for myself. My partner and I are decidedly in an ethically non-monogamous relationship and wanted to explore how attending could feel. It seemed like the high-end and exclusive nature of SNCTM would be appealing and offer a chance to meet like-minded people and experience new forms of art.
Standing next to my bow-tie-clad partner in an almost floor-length black silk gown and sparkly heels, we crowd eagerly into the elevator to head to the party in a penthouse overlooking Los Angeles. I look around, taking in the other guests packed in with us, including a brunette who I make eye contact with. The penthouse is lit with deep red lights and boasts floor-to-ceiling windows. Inside, topless SNCTM performers move seductively. There’s a naked woman being tied down to a circular couch using shibari — a Japanese form of bondage — and men in masquerade masks pass out Champagne. Another man collects every guest’s phone so they can’t take photos or videos. It feels like walking onto the set of Eyes Wide Shut — which according to Robert Artés, the managing director at SNCTM — has always been the inspiration.
Tumblr media
With a full Champagne flute in hand, I take in the massive space. We’re among the first to arrive, and as Robert had shared with me beforehand, the first half of the party is often just that: a party. It’s meant to start with a cocktail hour and “high-sensual art” — performances that feature eroticism in a tasteful way. As more guests wearing dresses and tuxedos trickle in, upbeat music fills the room. There’s a buzzing feeling in my body: a nervousness that feels exhilarating and fun. My partner and I notice that without our phones, we’re forced to explore our excited feelings about the unfamiliar space, make conversation with each other that feels a lot like first-date jitters, and eventually, approach others.
I see the brunette from the elevator. She’s wearing a sheer black lace bodysuit and carrying a white rose in her hand, and I smile at her. I ask her about the rose and she hands it to me. “It’s yours now,” she says, smiling. “Have you checked out the rooms yet?” We haven’t. I feel that nervous buzz again. She’s a member of the club and attends events regularly; she invites us to join her. Down a long hallway, there are three rooms containing a black latex bed slick with oil, another bed with deep red sheets, bowls of condoms, dildos, bondage rope, a bottle of lube, and a claw-foot tub filled with bubbles.
Soon after, we meet another couple who attends these soirées regularly. “I hope this isn’t too forward,” the man says to my partner, “but if she likes being flogged, there is an excellent performer here who specializes in that.” It’s strange how normal that sentence feels here.
As the night goes on, I notice fewer dresses and more stunning lingerie. I still have my gown on. Suddenly, the music stops and a woman begins to belt opera in the corner. As she does so, a nude blonde floats into the room carrying a vibrating sex saddle. She mounts it and grinds against the seat. Her moans are audible even against the singer’s voice. Finally, the singer goes quiet and the room cheers as the blonde’s moans get louder. It doesn’t feel fake or performative, but rather, a symbol of a woman owning her power. It’s exhilarating.
Tumblr media
Shortly after, I lead my partner back to the rooms. We look in the first, but it was empty, so we go to the second. The shibari rope artist ties a naked guest to the black latex bed with a vibrator strapped to her vulva. Guests pile in to watch. “Well,” the shibari rope artist says, “Is someone going to f*ck her? She’s begging to be f*cked.” It felt voyeuristic, all of us standing watching her lie there.
The woman in bed stares at me before reaching in my direction. Much to the surprise of my partner, and myself, I hand him my drink. My nerves dissipate. “Go Hayley!” another woman cheers. I get on top of the woman in bed, touching her lightly, then with more intention. I ask for her consent and she assents before I wrap my fingers around her neck. I slide my hand to the vibrator and then past it. She begs and I oblige. “You’re my dream,” she whispers. Afterward, I feel powerful, accepted, held, and free. I kiss my partner before we venture back into the party’s throng.
The night is still young. There are many more performances — such as a nude pointe ballet performance that resembles Black Swan and ends in woman-on-woman cunnilingus — and even the flogging expert we were told about earlier. I meet more guests and even engage with a few.
Every room is filled with a swarm of people in all variations: bodies on top of each other, 10 people in one bed at a time, people having sex on floors, guests being tied to door handles, couples looking to spice up their marriage, and even voyeurs having their own place. The rooms smell like sex, expensive perfume, and pure pleasure. Instead of judgment for others or myself, I notice myself valuing the transparency and honesty of guests who give into pure sexual energy. “You’re a natural here,” one member tells me. I certainly feel like it. I get a warm feeling inside, one of sexual liberation and acceptance.
That’s when I meet the woman straddling a bench in the bathroom. “Hey, you,” she points at me, “Why is your dress still on?” I smile at the question and immediately take it off. My lingerie— a black velvet balconette bra, a garter belt, and black velvet panties — wants to be seen. I notice that I want to be seen, too. Looking very serious, she grabs my face with both hands, and, in one sentence, makes me understand perhaps what this night is about: “Don’t ever forget your power.”

April 2023 Updates
Hello! I have some updates I’d like to share with you going into this month.
I have a lot to cover, so I’ve put it under a read more. Basically, I'm moving! And it's going to have a lot of positive changes!
I genuinely appreciate your patience and kindness with me during this hectic time. Here are some links if you're interested in my work! Thank you so much ♥

Updates below!
About my future:
Recently I mentioned I'm going to be moving. I'm trying to go near the end of the month, so this month will be a wild one for me! But this move is a very, very good thing that will have a positive impact on my well being and my workflow.
Preparing to move has had my hands full, which is why I've been inactive recently. After the move is done, my productivity should start to significantly improve. I would like to update you on my plans for my comic, my art, and my videos.
I know I've been very quiet, and that my workflow has been slow for a long time now. But there's going to be positive changes going into the rest of the year, and I hope you enjoy what's to come. Thank you so much for supporting me, for being patient with me, and for always being so kind to me!
About my comic:
My comic is very important to me, and something I love dearly. In recent years the rate of new pages has slowed down significantly, and this has by and large been because of stuff in real life making it difficult to work on it. This move will be a very positive change for me, and it's my hope that my comic can start picking up again this year.
I do plan to start updating it again this month, with the next page going up on my website on Monday (April 3). While I can't make too many pages this month because of the move, I want this to be the start of my comic getting back on track.
My comic means a lot to me, and I want to finish the current arc as a comic no matter what. We're approaching the end of chapter 6, and chapter 7 will be the final chapter of the arc (but not the end of the story!) We're right next to some major story developments, and I'm very excited! I hope you enjoy what's to come.
Comic updates will always be up first on my Patreon and uploaded publicly to the website later. Thank you so much everyone who has supported my comic through the years! I honestly couldn't have gotten this far without you.
I have one more important thing about my comic. While I fully intend to finish drawing the current arc, I am unsure if I can continue running the website it's hosted on. I've been having issues with it recently, and I don't know if I will be able to continue affording to host it after this year. This is something I'll have more information on later when I have a clearer picture, but for now I wanted you to know that it's possible the website could be going away, and I've started uploading the comic to some mirror sites to be safe.
About my art:
I really want to be more active with my art going into the rest of the year. It's been difficult for me to draw, but I love to draw very much, and I want to get that drive for it back. I hope to be able to draw a lot more once my move is finished.
And on that note, I also hope to open commissions again later this year! I haven't taken public commissions in a really long time, so I'm nervous, but excited! And I'll have a lot more information about that once I'm ready.
I've also mentioned for a while now that I hope to open an online store this year. This is something I can more seriously pursue once I've moved. To be honest, the biggest reason I haven't opened a store yet is because I'm not comfortable doing so in my current location. Moving will give me the opportunity to open a store proper, and I'm extremely excited for that!
One of my first goals after I've settled down is to create some new physical merch to test the waters with. I have some fun ideas for what I'd like to do, and I'm excited to share them with you all!
About my videos:
Last year I started uploading my playthrough of FFXIV: Endwalker to my game channel. This was a lot of fun to work on! It got me more interested in video content creation, and started my journey into learning video editing.
My Endwalker videos are up to date, and I haven't had the chance to make any new videos since then. This has been because of the upcoming move, and I won't be able to create any new videos until after the move is done. But this is something I'm excited to explore further! And I have a lot of things I want to do!
While my channel currently focuses on Endwalker, this isn't the only thing I'd like to create for it. I have other games I plan to upload to the channel in the future (including a lot of Final Fantasy games), as well as some shorter videos separate from my playthroughs. I hope you enjoy them!
And finally, something really big coming from this move is it will afford me the opportunity to start streaming! This is something I haven't been able to do because of the internet speed in my location, so I'm very excited to start exploring this more seriously soon!
Again, thank you so much for all your kindness, patience, and support. It’s been a rough few years for me, and I couldn’t do this without you all. Thank you for everything ♥

[INTERVIEW] MAMAMOO @ KPOP.FLEX by BA NA NA
Tumblr media
Q: It's your first time in Europe! We are sure that your fans were looking forward to this moment. How do you feel about it?
Solar: I was very happy when I heard that we were performing in Germany. It was a bit surprising but it had been so long since we had a chance to meet our fans we were really excited about it. Since we haven’t been able to meet our fans in a long time, we were really thought a lot about what songs we should play that the fans would enjoy. Since we haven’t seen each other for a long time, we worked hard to show the fans a passionate performance full of energy, but I don’t know if that was well delivered!
Tumblr media
Q: This is your first big event after the pandemic, but we know that you haven't stopped working on your individual projects. How did you experience those years? What does it mean to be back on the international stage after such a long time?
Moonbyul: We’ve released album non stop and we’ve had performances in music show as well but since the seats in front of us were always empty, it has been a bit hard. Even though we’ve been able to do video calls and online fan meetings, it’s not the same as being in the same venue singing and making eye contact with the fans, so because of that our energy hasn’t being as high as it usually was.
While performing in Germany, I thought that the situation got better and I hope we could go back to how things were before. It’s been a while since we received so much energy from so many people, so I think we will be able to work hard once we get back to Korea thanks to that.
Tumblr media
Q: I say... MOOMOO. Your fandom is very strong and always there to support your career and decisions. Can you dedicate a few words to your fans in Europe and to all the people who have come to Frankfurt to enjoy your music?
Wheein: Europeans Moomoo! The day we finally meet it’s here! Thank you so much for coming to see us and we will try hard to make more opportunities to meet like this happen soon! Performing in Germany been such a happy experience for me and I hope it will be a good memory for our MooMoo too!
Tumblr media
Q: The image you project in each of your works and on stage is very powerful. How has your music evolved in these 8 years?
Hwasa: I think that we’ve become more mature during these past eight years. I’m sure that our age is one of the reasons but we also have achieved a lot as soloists as well as with as a group, so I think our charms are reflected little by little in our group activities. I feel like I’ve become stronger as I’ve gained more experience?
Q: Eight years together! MAMAMOO has been through a lot as we have seen in your documentary "MMM Where Are We Now". But... do you still have any dream or goal that you would like to achieve together as MAMAMOO?
Moonbyul: I hope MAMAMOO stays together even if there’s only 1 MooMoo left. I think all four of us have the same dream. I want to walk with MooMoo for a long time, even if it’s not fast. Especially, I want to meet our fans more and more often than before.
Tumblr media
Q: Are we going to see any new MAMAMOO project soon? How does your future look like?
Solar: We’re talking a lot about many different things so that we can greet you as MAMAMOO again! It's still a secret but we will be back in time for MooMoos. Until then, please don’t go anywhere!
Q: In some of your songs we can appreciate latin touches and some spanish words (we love Bicho Malo!) Do you know more spanish expressions that you can tell us? Would you like to learn this language better?
Wheein: MooMoos! Te quiero! (Laughs) I only know this kind of things, I will study hard for the next time we meet!

The After Show - Episode 4
Welcome to the after show Octavia, your seventh season! Haha, thank you for having me. I am so excited to do this, we finally get to talk about the season while it’s airing... Took 7 seasons, but here we are.
Exactly! We’re about to get into the episode, but first we wanna ask. How did you feel going into filming this season? I was ready to film, especially since we didn’t have a reunion last season. I felt like there was a lot to talk about & a lot of changed dynamics. This was always gonna become a great season.
Talking about great seasons... What is your least favorite season so far? Uhm... That’s kinda easy. Season 2 for sure, because it was gang up on me. I don’t like that at all, I almost left after that season.
Well, we’re glad you stayed. Let’s get into the episode shall we? I am ready, let’s do this.
We start the episode in your home, you just visited Saffron after her home invasion... How was finding out what had happened for you? It was horrible. I remember waking up and having a million text messages, from everyone I knew. They we’re all asking how Saffron was doing & if I knew more... It was a surreal moment for I think all of us.
I can imagine. You went by her home with Judith & Courtney, how was that? Seeing her for the first time. Very emotional, she was broken... Like I don’t wanna say too much, since you’ll see a lot of her process and stuff on the show. And I wanna give her the chance to tell her story. But the year didn’t start of good for her, that’s for sure.
Victoria comes by your home, why did you invite her? I felt bad about how Judith’s diner went, she left very upset. So I originally invited her to talk about how she was doing. But logically, the conversation changed...
Victoria makes some very insensitive comments, did you expect any of that from her if you look back? Never, I swear. I knew Saffron & Victoria weren’t great friends. But in my mind, in a situation like this, that doesn’t matter. You’re a sim, you have feelings. What had happened to Saffron was beyond the shows feuds. To say your stuff is just as important, that's just horrible.. I have no words for that.
Next scene is Heather having lunch with Courtney & Lilly. That lunch doesn’t go well... Lilly shares her theories about the home invasion with the ladies. How did you feel hearing about this? I only heard about this quite late... But I was shocked. Like I know you needed to deliver to stay full time Lilly... But there are boundaries... And let's just say, she overstepped.
How is your relationship with Lilly Feng now? We have no relationship. There is no friendship, there never really was. Because she wasn’t really open to it. She was just a coworker.
Then we see Mila & her husband having diner... That seemed... Interesting.. Yeah, it didn’t look very nice... He doesn’t seem to really... Respect her? I know this will be brought up by other ladies later in the season too. So I guess we’ll see it play out then.
You visits Judith & tell her what Mila said about her... Why? Because she said it on camera, so it’s already gonna be out there. The only thing I really did was give Judith an opportunity to defend herself.
Why did you bring Thorn to Courtney’s party? Because she had mentioned that she had some leftover spaces at the table, because of others not coming. So I said why don’t I bring my husband, then he can get to know yours... She liked that idea.
You tell Courtney how you think she is a good fit for the group, still agree? Definitely, I think Courtney is one of the best castings so far. She fits into the group very well, isn’t scared to speak up & is fucking funny too! I love her.
Judith shades Heather in her confessional for wanting her office filmed. Do you think she has a second motive for wanting to film there? Well... I was the one who kinda told Judith Ward. I know some information, that makes me believe she does have a second motivation.. But we will get to that.
You bring up Victoria’s insensitive comments at the diner table. Why do it there instead of in private conversation? Because we’re filming a reality show honey. We need to bring things up on camera, because we need the story to roll... Like if I wouldn’t ever bring stuff up on camera, y’all would be bored to death. I think that if you say stuff on camera, you need to own it. Own the mistakes, fix them. I give you that chance.
So Victoria should be grateful you brought it up? Yes, because by bringing it up. We talk about it and that gives you the opportunity to publicly apologize for what you have done.
Victoria walks away from the conversation... You & Courtney decide to follow her, why did you do that? She can’t keep walking away. She has already left 3/4 cast events because there was drama. She creates the drama, so finish it. You want the screen time with drama, then have the time.
Victoria ends up calling Courtney soulless. That went too far for you? 100%! Who says that to someone, your coworker. Have some respect for your colleague even if you are feuding. Victoria had too much to drink that night and was very emotional. She was a mess honestly.
Do you agree with Judith? Is Heather enabling Victoria’s behavior? For sure, it’s very clear. Heather always chooses Victoria side, even against someone she has been friends with for years. That’s... Wrong. Because Victoria is clearly wrong.
You say you’re seeing another Victoria this season, explain? Uhm.. I have known Victoria for 4 years now, since she joined the show. She has always been messy & dramatic, she loves creating moments for herself. But this season she has a different vibe around her. She is always in a negative mood and bringing others down, she has a lot of low blows. This isn’t a side of her I like.
Any clue on why she is this way? No, I have no clue. But I would love to hear her explain at the reunion. However, she is probably just gonna deflect.
Guess we’ll have to wait & see... Thank you for being here and hopefully we’ll see you again soon! Yes, I liked doing this very much. Hope to be back soon, if I have time haha.

Chapter 3: First Performance
Narrated by Nikki.
Narrator: [Your Name], actually... I’ve had some great experience on the stage.
Narrator: When designing costumes for Yoyo, I did a little bit of a cameo appearance.
Narrator: I was clumsy. Nevertheless, a great memory it was.
Narrator: Yoyo’s college hosted a music festival in her sophomore year.
Narrator: She formed a band right upon entering the college and bought a set of drums. Can you imagine that?
Choose either “Even Yoyo has moments like this, Nikki?” or “Yoyo always has her own opinions.”
If “moments,” ...
You: That’s a big surprise.
Narrator: It’s cool to be a rebel sometimes, right?
If “opinions,” ...
You: Yoyo is an independent soul.
Narrator: Yes. She’s always after her passion, including having a band. That never changed.
--
Narrator: She prepared a song for the music festival, rehearsing and revising day and night.
Narrator: One day, she dragged me into her room.
Yoyo: Hey, design some stage costumes for us!
Nikki: Why...?
Yoyo: What do you say? Time to prove yourself!
Narrator: With her hand on my shoulder and a burning gaze meeting my eyes, I just couldn’t say no to that passion.
Nikki: Ok. I’ll try.
Narrator: The next day, Yoyo took me to a rehearsal. She looked small behind that full set of drums.
Narrator: But everything changed when she started playing.
Narrator: A storm of beats, it was. Her powerful style was the backbone of the entire band.
Narrator: Yoyo shared an approving glance with other band members, smiling.
Narrator: I never knew Yoyo could be so cool before, although now she’s somewhat ashamed of having a band.
Narrator: I was motivated by the rehearsal. I must have Yoyo and the band appear in the most appropriate fashion, with my own design.
Narrator: So I became an observer of their rehearsal sessions, to analyze their motions, positions, and ambient lighting.
Narrator: I had a front row seat, so close to the energetic action on the stage. Sometimes I even sing along, totally unaware.
Yoyo: Come up here and sing!
Nikki: What? Me? No way.
Yoyo: Why?
Narrator: I was refusing out of habit, but Yoyo came to the edge of the stage and crouched down.
Yoyo: Didn’t Mom take you to fashion photography and TV drama production sites back then? Why are you afraid of being onstage now?
Nikki: That’s not the same...
Narrator: Have you ever felt your own voice be unfamiliar, like, out of control, when it passes through speakers?
Choose either “That’s how I feel” or “It’s good to get the hang of it.”
If “feel,” ...
You: Yes. The song ends up not quite like what I imagined.
Narrator: Exactly. I’m afraid the voice of not-quite-me might cause me to freeze onstage.
If “good,” ...
You: Because you’re too nervous. Try a few more times and you’ll get it.
Narrator: Maybe if I have the opportunity to practice.
--
Nikki: Facing a camera and actually being on the stage, they’re different!
Yoyo: Why?
Nikki: Because! I belong in an audience seat.
Narrator: Yoyo slightly tapped my head and shook hers in exasperation.
Narrator: Then she returned to the center of the stage. Watching her go, I was somehow feeling a little bit down.
Narrator: The costume design was a breeze. Yoyo found someone to help speed up the process.
Nikki: Hey, Yoyo, you got the number wrong. We have one set extra.
Yoyo: No, I didn’t.
Nikki: But...
Yoyo: The extra clothes are for you, during the music festival.
Nikki: Huh? But I’m not going on the stage.
Yoyo: We’re in this together.
Narrator: Yoyo forced the outfit upon me, and left with the rest of the band, leaving me there on my own. I was clutching the costume.
Narrator: The venue was packed on the day of the festival. The passionate crowd was getting excited.
Narrator: All those hands, waving light sticks, made a glowing sea, girting the isle of radiance that is the stage.
Narrator: A spectrum of young souls.
Narrator: I was thrilled to see the costume of my own design shining in the spotlight. It was a visual representation of the music.
Narrator: The stage is a place of power, where my design shone in a special light.
Narrator: Yoyo’s band prepared two songs for the event. In between, she pointed at me without warning, and announced...
Yoyo: This is Nikki, our costume designer.
Narrator: All those gazes focused on me, almost instantly.
Narrator: I was dumbstruck, looking at Yoyo for help.
Narrator: That’s when she extended her hand and invited me to the stage.
Narrator: Thundering applause, from a galaxy of light sticks. My heart felt a surge of power and urged me toward the stage.
Narrator: Yoyo held my hand tight, and pulled me up there.
Narrator: As if breaking through an invisible barrier, I popped up in a whole new world and lost myself.
Narrator: Yoyo passed over the mic. I took it and realized the audience had been eerily silent.
Narrator: I could hear every sound, from my own heartbeat to my amplified voice booming over the venue.
Nikki: Hi, everyone. I’m Nikki, the costume designer.

Crash Bandicoot 4, Spyro Reignited Trilogy Dev Toys For Bob Is Splitting From Activision
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Toys for Bob, the studio behind games like Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, Spyro Reignited Trilogy, and Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, has announced it is splitting from its owner Activision Blizzard to go independent. It is also exploring a partnership with Microsoft.
Toys for Bob announced this in a statement released today, which explains why now is “the time to take the studio and our future games to the next level.”
[embedded content]
Here’s Toys for Bob’s statement, in full:
“We’re thrilled to announce that Toys for Bob is spinning off as an independent game development studio.
Over the years, we’ve inspired love, joy, and laughter for the inner child in all gamers. We pioneered new IP and hardware technologies in Skylanders. We raised the bar for best-in-class remasters in Spyro Reignited Trilogy. We’ve taken Crash Bandicoot to innovative, critically acclaimed new heights.
With the same enthusiasm and passion, we believe that now is the time to take the studio and our future games to the next level. This opportunity allows us to return to our roots of being a small and nimble studio.
To make this news even more exciting, we’re exploring a possible partnership between our new studio and Microsoft. And while we’re in the early days of developing our next new game and a ways away from making any announcements, our team is excited to develop new stories, new characters, and new gameplay experiences.
Our friends at Activision and Microsoft have been extremely supportive of our new direction and we’re confident that we will continue to work closely together as part of our future.
So, keep your horns and your eyes out for more news. Thank you to our community of players for always supporting us through our journey. We can’t wait to share updates on our new adventure as an indie studio. Talk to you soon.”
Toys for Bob did not disclose a price (if there is one) associated with its split from Activision Blizzard, which arrives just a few months after Microsoft purchased the company for a colossal $69 billion.
Toys for Bob joins another studio leaving the hands of its owner today: With a $500 million deal, Embracer Group has sold Saber Interactive to a group of private investors, as reported by Bloomberg. Kotaku is also reporting today that Gearbox, the makers of the Borderlands series, is looking to break away from Embracer Group as well.
What kind of game do you hope Toys for Bob makes first? Let us know in the comments below!

How Flutterwave and Olugbenga Agboola Are Laying the Groundwork for a Startup Boom Across Africa
As the new year kicks off, many experts are predicting economic downturns. Thanks to a constellation of factors, including the Russian invasion of Ukraine and lingering supply chain issues caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the bright spots seem few and far between. Luckily, Olugbenga “GB” Agboola sees a sunnier picture.
As the CEO of Flutterwave, an African payments company recently valued at $3 billion, he’s accustomed to seeing potential in places and ideas that others overlook. To him, the African tech scene is ready to make returns on the foreign investments that have poured into the continent over the past few years.
In other words, the best is yet to come.
“Everywhere you look, there is untapped potential in Africa,” Olugbenga Agboola said. “The current state of affairs hasn’t dampened that. Africa’s digital economy is still set to expand over the next several years, more than five times its current size by some estimates. When you look at that, it’s hard not to be excited, no matter what the immediate future looks like globally.”
He envisions a future for African startups that follows the model Flutterwave pioneered. By beginning small, constantly upgrading offerings, and taking full advantage of its domestic and international partnerships, the company managed to break almost every record in African startup history.
“Our biggest strength as a company has been partnerships. It takes a village to make this work, and now that Africa is rising in terms of investment and startups, there is a much bigger village,” he said. “When you have companies like Flutterwave that have achieved unicorn status in Africa, it attracts the attention of top Silicon Valley investors and partners, which also increases the population of the village. So now that we have shown to the world that African startups are legitimate investment opportunities, the seeds for future growth have been planted.”
Olugbenga Agboola is firm in his commitment. He pointed to trend lines from the past few years — how startups in Africa raised more than $4 billion in 2021 after raising only $2 billion in 2020 — as the best way to think about the future.
“The thing about technology startup companies like ours is that we can move quickly. The act of pivoting is baked into our DNA. When we notice a problem, we possess the agility to be responsive to it,” Agboola said. “Of course, we did not predict the Russia-Ukraine war and all of the consequences it has caused around the world, but shocks like that can be absorbed when you have the ability to look around and make quick changes.”
In those terms, Flutterwave has been an inspiration. The company was founded in 2016 by Olugbenga Agboola and Iyinoluwa Aboyeji as a simple payments option for Africans, but it quickly expanded its offerings to cater to a broader and more diverse range of clientele. Now, it’s a juggernaut that’s transformed the landscape of online payment in and to the continent.
“When we began, we understood the need for an online payment processing service in Africa because we had worked internationally and seen how financial technology benefits people and companies,” Agboola said. “But what we did not foresee was becoming the infrastructure of all African online payments. Right now, there is not a fintech company in Africa that does not use our service.”
Its latest pivots — launching products like Flutterwave Market and Send, as well as acquiring the creator platform Disha — show the broad vision and foundational belief that Flutterwave and Olugbenga Agboola have in their market space.
“Every day we’re seeing African companies scaling to the U.S. and vice versa. This is the beginning of the seeds growing into fully mature companies,” he said. “We are very proud to have helped show other African entrepreneurs the way to grow smartly and to show foreign investors the true potential that lives here.”
The momentum that Flutterwave has started can’t be stopped by a few bad months in the global economy, he added. The potential of African startups has always been great, but now that Flutterwave has demonstrated a realization of that potential, more money and ambition will be poured into other startups.
In 2021, Time magazine named the business one of its Most Influential Companies, thanks in part to its ability to inspire. Not only has Flutterwave given new hope to African entrepreneurs, opened the eyes of a generation of students, and commanded soaring investments, but it’s also worked alongside governments to change regulations on interstate commerce to become more business friendly and economically stimulative.
“Our goal is not to simply create a company. We want our legacy to be much greater than that,” Olugbenga Agboola said. “We want to inspire others, to make things greater for Africans, and to help the world see the true potential of the amazing people we have here.”

Confirmed: The Sims 4 to Continue After Project Rene is Released
Lyndsay Pearson, the Vice President of The Sims franchise on EA/Maxis, was a guest on today’s Behind the Sims to talk a few details regarding the future release of Project Rene – the upcoming new title on The Sims series.
She confirmed The Sims 4 will still go on after Project Rene is released, saying that both titles “are gonna continue to exist side by side. We plan to support both at the same time and we’re gonna continue to bring even more exciting content to The Sims 4 for the foreseeable future”. Advertisement
Lyndsay also explained how they may approach new game content differently for Project Rene, mixing new free features to the base game (which is confirmed to be free at launch) as well as paid DLC.
You can watch the whole interview starting at 8:34 on the latest Behind the Sims. Project Rene, which is a working title for the next The Sims game, has no release date confirmed yet.
Behind The Sims Transcript
We have the full transcript of that interview right here. So you can read it for yourself. Lyndsay shared a lot on the upcoming game, Project Rene during Behind The Sims Episode 3. One being that Project Rene will not be a Sims 4 replacement, the two games will co exist side-by-side and both will receive regular content alongside each other for the foreseeable future.
Also, what was mention is that the next Sims game will be free to download?! This may not be too surprising, given that The Sims 4 base game is now free to play; however, this information does mark a pretty big shift in the way Maxis and EA are planning to market and sell future releases.
MERSEA: Okay, I’m super excited to have The Sims™ Queen Mother herself, Lyndsay Pearson, back today to chat with me about Project Rene and the future of The Sims™. Sul Sul, Lyndsay.
LYNDSAY: Hey, Mersea. I am very excited to be here today. And Sul Sul to our community. I am thrilled to be back and sharing what we are working on. I think it’s a really good time to be playing The Sims™.
MERSEA: 100%. Maybe it’s just the way I play, but my game really hits different each time. Can you tell us more about how your experience over the years is shaping and setting the stage for Project Rene?
LYNDSAY: Yeah, over the years, you’ve seen us introduce so many versions of Sims experiences, from The Sims™ to The Sims™ Online, The Sims™ Castaway, The Sims™ Medieval, Urbz. We’re always looking for ways to bring The Sims™ to more players and keep that charming character and creation center at the heart of what we make. What must we preserve to make this still a Sims game. And what can we do in this game that we couldn’t do before.
MERSEA: Right. During the last episode of Behind The Sims™, the team shared a look at a whole lot of work in progress with Project Rene. Is that how you’re trying to find that new vibe?
LYNDSAY: Exactly. And with Project Rene, we want to do things from the start that The Sims™ hasn’t ever done and try to do familiar things in a new way. Project Rene will be a new way to play The Sims™. Now, we’ve shared a few of those differences that we’re already exploring, such as the ability to play with friends and across devices, and we can’t wait to show you more of the gameplay itself. And I’m really excited to be building this new and different approach.
Project Rene and The Sims™ 4 are going to continue to exist side by side. We plan to support both at the same time, and we’re going to continue to bring even more exciting content to The Sims™ 4 for the foreseeable future.
MERSEA: Don’t get me wrong. I’m super invested in my Sims 4 storylines, but thinking about the different opportunities we’ve seen in like The Sims™ Castaway and Urbz which, by the way, one of my absolute favorites, it just makes me excited to think about how I’ll pop into Project Rene to play with friends.
LYNDSAY: We want to make it super easy for your friends to come and join you. We’ll actually have more to share about what multiplayer will look like in Project Rene in the year ahead, but I want to talk about one way specifically that we’re going to make it as easy as possible to join.
We intend for Project Rene to be free to download, and that means that when it’s ready and fully open to our players, you’ll be able to join and play and explore Project Rene without a subscription, without core game purchase or energy mechanics. We want it to be easy for you to invite or join with a friend, and that means extending an open invitation for everyone to play.
MERSEA: Really? Bombastic side eye?
LYNDSAY: We’re developing this game in a different way, and we’re bringing everyone along with us, and that means a lot of different phases of development, which can include everything from closed invites and small public tests to large-scale early access options. And yes, when Project Rene is ready, it’ll be available to download for free.
MERSEA: What does that mean for content in the game, like updates?
LYNDSAY: We want to focus on building something strong and cohesive from the start. It definitely won’t start with everything you have in The Sims™ 4, but we’re going to add new experiences and content to Project Rene over time.
MERSEA: Okay, so what might that look like? We talking DLC, packs?
LYNDSAY: Well, beyond regular updates to the core game, we will sell content and packs, but we want to change that mix a little bit. Let me give you a theoretical example. In The Sims™ 4, the only way to experience any weather was if you purchased Seasons. Now, in Project Rene, we might introduce basic weather to the core game for free for everybody. And then a pack for purchase might be focused on winter sports and could include activities like ice dancing or a snowman-building competition.
Building this way means that down the line, we could use wind or rain or clouds for other pack themes as well. Now, it’s a little early to know exactly where we’ll draw the lines, but it’s important for us to lower those barriers to play and give everyone the broadest shared systems because that feels like the best foundation to grow from.
MERSEA: That’s really interesting. I will definitely need to think about this some more and I’ll need to review this all again on The Sims™ Newsroom. Shout out to that team for the recap.
LYNDSAY: As we shared last time, we’re still exploring a lot of different ideas and we haven’t settled on all the details of everything, but it’s important for us to keep sharing. Stay tuned for more updates as we go. But for now, how about a quick summary? Project Rene and other Sims games, including The Sims™ 4, will coexist for the foreseeable future. It means Project Rene is not setting out to replace your current awesome Sims experiences. And because we want everyone to join The Sims™ party when it’s ready, Project Rene will be free to download.
MERSEA: Thank you so much for your time, Queen Mother. I can’t wait to keep learning more about Project Rene, so know that you are always welcomed on our couch.
LYNDSAY: Thank you, Mersea. Pleasure to be here.
