One of the best Voyager scenes to indicate Tuvok & Neelix's dynamic and how I think Tuvok is just as if not more 'annoying'(positive) than Neelix is when Neelix pours Tuvok a fresh squeezed glass of a fruit juice blend and Tuvok's like (paraphrased) "I don't want to drink this." and Neelix is like "Can you please try it?" and Tuvok's like "I don't want to, you're really bad at this sort of thing. It's going to taste bad." and Neelix says that Ensign XYZ said she LOVED it, she even had a second glass! And Tuvok says Ensign XYZ could drink poison without a second thought and Neelix is like "Tuvok could you please just TRY it? Just try a little SIP of it PLEASE??" and Tuvok sighs and rolls his eyes and sniffs it before taking a sip and it turns out he loves it. Turns out it tasted good actually. And then after all that Neelix tries to talk to him over eggs (which he's again cooking fresh for him) and Tuvok tells him he doesn't wanna hear "the life history of his breakfast." Absolutely insufferable this man I would have burned his eggs on PURPOSE!!!!

Your wedding was, to put it simply, extravagant. What else would you expect from the literal Crown Prince of the Galactic Empire?

Luke was initially against making the event of your marriage a spectacle for the entire galaxy to see; he would have preferred a small, private ceremony on Naboo with only your loved ones present.

Palpatine, however, had other plans. Not only would your wedding be a way to demonstrate the immense wealth of the Empire, it would also generate immense sympathy and support from the public.

Luke was without a doubt the galaxy's favorite bachelor--closely followed by the suave but scandalous Prince Han of Corellia--as well as the Empire's golden boy. By marrying a beloved member of the notoriously rebellious Alderaanian nobility, Luke would prove the unity of the galaxy under Imperial rule.

You and Luke were essentially engaged before you even had a chance to get to know each other. Palpatine had ordered for every eligible bachelorette from the galaxy's wealthiest and most powerful families to be presented to the young prince so he may choose a bride. Luke did not have a say in this, but he feared what would happen to the poor girls if he refused to take part, so he reluctantly agreed to it.

Choosing you was actually an act of rebellion. As a member of a lesser Alderaanian noble house, you were accompanying Leia as her aide, and neither of you truly wanted to be there. You weren't meant to be an option. When Luke held his hand out to you--not Leia, not any of the other princesses or heiresses, you--the galaxy stopped. This wasn't supposed to happen, but the look in his eyes told you it could.

Just because your marriage was arranged doesn't mean it was a loveless one--in fact, you were the power couple of the Empire. You were attracted to him the moment you first saw him in person, and you quickly fell for each other over the course of your wedding preparations.

Despite his mysterious exterior, he only ever treated you with kindness and respect--he was nothing like the entitled, spoiled prince you envisioned in your mind. You could tell there was light beneath the dark exterior the Empire forced upon him. He simultaneously respected your space while acknowledging your existence in a way that made you feel like you were more than just a 'lesser noblewoman.' And he was so, so, beautiful.

You were so genuine and real with him in a world where most people weren't. You didn't blindly worship or despise him--you treated him like a person, an equal. Because of this, he felt a strong desire to protect and cherish you, and as plans for the wedding were underway, he made sure you were treated like the beautiful, powerful princess you were meant to be.

You shuddered at the thought of just how much your outfit cost. Your hair was done up in elaborate braids decorated with pastel-colored flowers from your home planet. A tiara of pearls and diamonds encircling a corusca gem adorned the top of your head, and from it extended a veil of intricately woven Alderaanian lace. The dress itself was crafted from the galaxy's finest shimmershilk and embroidered with glimmering, crystal-encrusted designs. It hugged your figure beautifully, the skirt trailing elegantly behind you as you walked down the aisle.

Luke's outfit was equally as stunning: he wore a sleek black military uniform decorated with a crimson sash and various medals signifying his rank. A cape of cyrene silk draped across his shoulders, a reference to his Naboo heritage. As a final touch, a silver crown resembling rays of sunlight sat upon his head, reinforcing his almost deified status in the galaxy.

After over a year of planning, the time came for your wedding. It was the event of the century--every holonews station held countdowns to the day it would be broadcasted live. It felt like the entire galaxy was on the edge of its seat in anticipation.

The ceremony took place in the Senate Plaza as opposed to the Imperial Palace, as your marriage symbolized the unity of all nations, cultures, and planets under the influence of the Empire--even the rebellious ones.

Hundreds of thousands--if not millions--of spectators surrounded the venue, desperate to get even a glimpse of the royal couple. Security was tight due to fears of potential rebel interference. While there were handfuls of protestors in the crowd, nothing escalated beyond shouts of 'death to the Empire!'

As there had never been a royal wedding quite like yours in the recent history of the galaxy, there was no real precedent for how things were supposed to be, so the traditions you followed were amalgamations of ones from various cultures.

The two of you walked hand-in-hand down the aisle, followed by a procession of your family members and close friends: the Naberrie family behind Luke, and the Organa family behind you. Also present were Ahkelar and Arakhmil, his bodyguards; Sabé, his childhood governess; and Mon Mothma, your political mentor. The presence of your loved ones symbolized how your marriage would unite your two families--more importantly, assimilating them into the Imperial Family.

The premier Coruscanti philharmonic orchestra played a fusion of traditional Alderaanian and Naboo folk music as you made your way down the aisle, and onlookers cheered as they waved Imperial flags and showered you with flower petals.

When you reached the altar in front of the Senate Building, your entourage stopped to kneel behind you, and you and Luke turned to face each other, hands intertwined. The love in his eyes and gentle smile he gave you made your heart weep. Whatever your future as an Imperial Princess had in store, you would always find solace and comfort in him.

The officiant of the wedding ceremony was none other than the Emperor himself. You did your best to maintain your composure; his presence was absolutely sickening. Adjacent to him stood Darth Vader, the human incarnation of a shadow, if he truly even is human. Thankfully, you had your soon-to-be husband there to keep you focused and calm.

Palpatine began with a speech about the glory and righteousness of the Empire, how it brought together two people destined to rule the galaxy with the strength and power of their love. In typical Palpatine fashion, it was moving and captivating on the surface, but it was little more than thinly-veiled propaganda. His declarations of peace were merely metaphors for submission. The most obvious was how he spoke of a bride's devotion and duty to her husband, how she must remain obedient to him--a subtle but direct threat to the Alderaanians viewing the ceremony.

"Do you, Lady Y/N of Alderaan, pledge your life to Prince Luke of the Galactic Empire and take him to be your husband?"

"...I do."

"And do you, Prince Luke, Heir to House Palpatine and Crown Prince of the Galactic Empire, take Lady Y/N of Alderaan to be your bride?"

"I do."

Darth Vader stepped forward, presenting the rings that would cement your status within the Empire--by putting them on, you would exchange your freedom for limitless power. The rings had matching flamegems, glowing and pulsing with the heat of a miniature star. Taking your hand in his, Luke slipped the ring onto your finger, and you followed suite for him.

"May the two of you remain forever faithful to one another, and may you uphold the legacy of the Imperial Family with your benevolent leadership and a surfeit of children. With the power vested in me, I pronounce you husband and wife, Prince and Princess Consort of the Galactic Empire."

Luke placed his hands on the side of your face, whispering 'I love you' and kissing you deeply. The crowed cheered even louder than they had before as you and Luke embraced each other.

The wedding ceremony was followed by an even more extravagant reception within the Senate Building. You and your new husband had changed into attire more suitable for engaging in the festivities: you wore a sultry evening gown with a plunging neckline and striking slit along the side, and Luke wore elegant, loose robes showing off his toned physique. It was near impossible for anyone to keep their eyes off you; you were without a doubt the most attractive couple the galaxy had ever known.

The party was filled with lively music, dancing, exquisite food and drink, and plenty of company. Prince Han was causing quite the riot. The two of you spent time socializing with your friends and families, but you also had many, many guests to greet and thank for attending. You met with dignitary after dignitary, spending more time making small talk with strangers than you did partying. In a rare instance of kindness, Vader insisted on taking over to let you enjoy the moment. The greetings stopped shortly after.

In spite of how reserved he usually was, Luke absolutely adored getting to show you off on the dance floor. You were his gorgeous bride, his beloved princess, his first and his only love--the one person he never had to worry about losing. The smile on your face and the sound of your laughter as he waltzed with you was enough to keep him happy for the rest of his life.

Representatives of every star system were responsible for presenting the royal couple with a wedding gift unique to the resources and cultures of their planets. Naboo had gifted a Guarlara mare and stallion named Veré and Set, whose names were taken from a famous folktale about eternal lovers. Aside from being exclusive symbols of nobility, Guarlaras mated for life and therefore represented true love; as you and Luke were avid lovers of animals, you were elated to receive such beautiful creatures.

Your adoptive aunt and uncle, Queen Breha and Viceroy Bail of Alderaan, presented you with a pair of droids who had served Padmé Amidala during the Clone Wars: R2-D2, an astromech droid, and C-3PO, a protocol droid. "They will serve you well on your new adventures as a married couple," Princess Leia told you. You understood what she meant--the droids were specially modified for untraceable, clandestine communication.

Much to your horror, Orn Free Taa of Ryloth presented you with an enslaved lethan twi'lek woman in what was to be the scandal of the century. You had no choice but to accept; not only would rejecting her create a rift between the economically important planet of Ryloth and the Empire, but it would have her thrown back into the treacherous slavery underworld. Luke ensured you and the woman, whose name was Yuna Dawani, that he would arrange to have her become a free and fully paid employee of the royal household.

The festivities lasted deep into the night, and by the end of it all, you were exhausted. However, that didn't stop you from enjoying your wedding night--as soon as you returned to your shared chambers, you relished in spending the rest of the night in each other's arms, passionately making love to one another.

When one if the most famous Hollywood celebrity goes MIA the media goes on after them for weeks and everything fizzles out eventually. But when it's two, creates a huge stir on media and internet.

YN and Harry had been very lowkey about their relationship since the very beginning. They met in Japan when he was vacationing there and YN was there to promote her new album. It did not took either of them to fall for each other.

It was very easy decision to move into her flat in London during quarantine, everything made sense.

Though it felt rushed to get married but it was to respect her culture, honestly none of them would change a thing about it. As soon as the lockdown was lifted, it was the first thing they did. Got married with just their families present at Harry's villa in Italy.

It was amazing feeling.

Especially for Harry. Not having to explain himself that people might hate her just because she is with him, not having to explain to her that they might have to be on watch for lurking cameras. She's all too aware of it all. Being in the industry her whole life, she knew exactly what came with it. She could careless about what people think of her.

Though it is not very subtle with Harry and YN liking and sharing each other's posts and going to each other's concerts. Everyone just thought they're good friends.

YN found out she was pregnant with by the end of her tour. It was the best decision she had made to pull out of touring again and taking a long break when she has been working since she was six. It was only fair for her.

Harry was ecstatic to hear YN give him that news and surprise him in New York when he was due to perform at MSG.

"Okay, we're not going with traditional pink and blue this time. It is going to Purple for girl and Green for boy. YN and Harry cut the cake now!" She handed a wooden knife to the couple.

It was then when everything became so much more real for both of them.

It was a busy day for Harry at studio. He was trying to get his new album finished as soon as he could just so he can spend time with his girls until everything is all produced. "Okay, we'll go to the hospital now yeah? I'll get the hospital bag and a chage of pants for you." He ran upstairs and gathered everything in one trip. He helped her change her pants, it's been something he have been doing since she couldn't bend to pull up her pants. He also put on a pair of socks on her feet and her flippers.

She rather calmer than Harry expected her to be. She was freaking out not even two weeks ago getting Braxton Hicks and rushing to hospital on a false alarm. But this was clearly not false.

"Oh my god this is so weird," she chuckled.

"Why so?" Harry wondered.

"We're going to the hospital and we'll return home with a baby, it's like we're going to baby shopping." She laughed but winced when another contraction hit. "It is like baby shopping, with all the bills."

"I can't believe you can joke whilst being in so much pain." Harry laughed.

Once in the hospital, YN was hooked to iv and monitors. She was just 7 centimetres dilated whivh was not enough so they had to stay longer. It was already eight at night, none of them have eaten anything and her progress was slower than expected.

"Did you call Anne and Gemma?" YN asked.

"Just called your parents first, going to call them both now." Harry informed her before called his mum and sister.

It was nearly early morning when doctor came in to check in on her, they were up all night waiting for their baby girl to finally decide to come home. Harry and YN were nothing but giggles and smiles.

"I've never seen first time parents as calm as you in my 30 years into this field." Doctor said, "it is nice."

"I am not, I literally saw my you ger brother being born at home when I was eight. It was traumatising, but I know what to prepare for." YN answer making Harry chuckle.

"Was your mum having a home birth?"

"No, she'd had four kids, so her fifth dilevery was pretty quickly. Very quick actually." YN said. She's had an epidural at this point so she could at least drink some water without being in pain.

"It gets easier with each kid." Doctor nodded, "you're ready, we'll get the labour and delivery room ready for you, yeah?"

"Yeah." YN nodded.

"It's going to be easier for our next babies." Harry smirked.

"Oh my god Harry, let's have this one first." YN threw her head back on her pillow in defeat.

He was raving about the idea of having twins as to how fast YN started showing. But turned out Baby Styles is just a chunky baby. She weighs over eight pounds and ten ounces already on their last ultrasound.

Baby girl was born safely and everything went so smoothly. Doctor put the baby on YN's chest, she was a crying mess. Showing off her vocals chords and already challenging her dad that she could potentially sing higher notes than him.

"She is," Harry nodded in agreement, feeling his eyes well up with tears. "She is all ours. This is so real now." He brought her up to his face to snuggle her. The the same way he did when YN first told him she was pregnant.

"It is," YN said. She gave him a moment with their baby. Letting him soak in all of his feelings for her the best he could. YN even sneaked in a Polaroid picture of two of them for herself (she is sure he's going to steal it and put on his with a clear case). Luckily for her he posed for another one. A nurse was nice enough to take a family picture for three of them.

"Harry, it's your birthday!" YN realised. "Happy birthday!"

"This is the best birthday." Harry chuckled, looking at his baby sleeping in her cot now. "Thank you baby!" He went to hug his wife.

"I'm sorry I forgot Harry, I promise I will make upto it." She hugged him back.

"You don't have to, I wouldn't want to change a single thing now that I got a birthday twin." He mumbled, "thank you for the best present ever, she is the best thing."

"She really is." How could she not agree.

"Nurse gave us the documents to fill in, need our signatures on it." He informed her, picking up the notepad from the side table.

"Oh, can you fill it? I can't write with a needle in my hand." She suggested.

"Sure." He nodded and they filled up the documents together and wrote her name. He wrote her first and middle name which both of them settled on pretty quickly.

Juno Robin YLN-Styles.

"Harry, she is fine with just one last name." YN told him.

"She is also going to carry her mum's name with her." He said as he signed under his part.

YN didn't change her last name after getting married, she just added his after her maiden name. It was only fair for Juno to carry both their names. It warmed her heart.

"You can sign on it when they take this out yeah?" He kept the notepad aside, seeing her struggle tro grip on the pen.

Most of their families decided to go see the baby when she's at her home and safe to not overwhelm her, but only the Grandma's were going to visit the hospital as YN and Harry had so nicely asked for their help for this postpartum stage. It didn't look like it was anytime soon that they could get to go back home as YN was bleeding a little too much which doctor and nurses were taking care of. She just needed loads and loads of rest a bit was walking as her epidural wears out.

Harry leaned in to press a lingering kiss on her chapped lips, "thank you."

"For what?" YN feel him hold her free hand and lace their fingers together on her lap.

"For this." He said obviously pointing at their Juno, "my love for you only grows from here darling. I am so grateful you chose to give me a pleasure to be a dad. I always wanted that. Thank you for giving our Juno home to grow in your body for nine months. You're so strong for that."

"Harry's stop you're gonna make me cry." YN whined chuckled, he was already crying his happy tears. "I love you Harry. And it takes two to make a baby."

"Oh how I enjoyed every moment of that process," he said, his voise was low afraid Juno might hear him as he leaned in closer to nudge his nose against her softly.

"I bet you did." YN nodded. "I am hungry now. And it's starting to hurt now."

"You mum asked me to not to give you any outside food." He told her, "she's coming over with food for both of us. Apparently your confinement begins this very moment." He announces.

"No, I was going to ask you to sneak me some icecream." She pouted making a sad puppy face.

"I know, I will get you all the icecream you want baby, but after your confinement is done. It was your choice to go by the Indian Confinement for your postpartum time." He reminded her. "We're going by every word your grandma and mum says now. It seems so much better for you and out bean."

"I wanted icecream." She whined.

"I can get you ice for now, no ice cream sorry love." He felt bad turning her down but it was a better option than being killing by his mother and mother in law if she falls sick. Everyone seems to love YN a little too much for his liking.

He's a narcissist. But he loves her.

"You're lucky I love you," she huffed.

"And I love you more." He chuckled and gave her a quick peck on the cheek. "Are you hurting anywhere?"

"Yeah? I just pushed a 9 pounds and 6 ounce baby out of my vagina. But my legs hurt a lot." She nodded.

"You want me massage your legs for you?" He asked.

"Yeah please, thank you." She wasn't going to turn down a nice a massage.

"Try getting in some sleep yeah? I'll be here when you wake up."

YN's mum had just left, she brought in a tons of healthy food for YN and of course Harry got to have some too. She also showed YN a few trick on how to help Juno latch on better jf she doesn't sometimes.

Doctor on the other hand recommended baby to have a skin to skin time her dad too. Harry loves cuddles so he jumped to it. Juno was halfway awake by then again. The first time was her Nani was there and she had her second meal and a diaper change.

She blinked open her big doe eyes trying to adjust to bright lights in the room. She had his big green eyes which were super dilated now but a ring of ring around her pupils was enough to tell them she has his eyes too. She is very calm so far, she slept through her first diaper change.

Harry was much more comfortable with holding her now. He held her tiny hand in between his pointer and thumb gently to see long fingernails on her tender fingers. He was afraid she is going to scratch herself for sure and they have to clip those soon. There was so much to admire of her, her tiny wrist, she was already a Michelin Man baby, her little belly full of milk, the dimples on the back of her hands as she flexed her delicate joints around his finger to grab his hand.

In that very moment he made a promise to never leave her hand no matter what.

He didn't know he was swaying slowly until his wife pointed out as she came out of the rest room, "are you two having your first dance?" She asked.

"Mhmm, we are." He nodded proudly. "Proud to say, I am her first dance."

He started humming to Just The Way You Are by Billy Joel and he swayed Juno who was blinking her eyes softly, already trying to keep up with her dad's antiques.

And that was the truth. No matter what she chose to be when she grows up he would encourage her and lover her for who she is. Like he does in the moment. He had made an unspoken promise that he's never going to leave her hand if she needs him, even if it's in bad times to come even though he wants from all the best this universe has to offer his girl.

Although I might not seem to care

He's for sure going to be one those annoying dads. Who seem not to care just to get under their kids' skin. He was going to have his fun being a father. But ahe wants her to know already that she doesn't need to change herself for anyone. As soon as they start is better, because she deserves the moons and stars.

Now he understands why his mum says he is her baby even though he's passed his thirties. He can never imagine to see her past this phase now. Here in the moment holding onto her tiny frame, protecting her from everything wrapped up in a blanket close to his heart. He whispered every night to her when she was in her mum's womb that he loves her, and he wants her to believe that.

He hums along just for the two of them, creating his own little bubble to realise he was crying, again, and Juno was fast asleep, again. He sniffled on his tears and looked her and brought her up to press a kiss on her cheek.

"I love you so much," he mumbled. He have never felt this love before for sure. He set her down in her cot and wrap her up in her blanket again.

It was the next morning when they got to take Juno home with them. YN was feeling a lot better and could walk around good, her bleeding was controlled and she was all healthy to go back home and rest with her baby.

"Welcome home Juno," he whispered to the baby in his arms who was a bit awake for her home coming.

"We're home." YN cooed watching her baby blink at her from her dad's embrace.

"I'm gonna give you a little home tour." He said, tapping onto her tiny chin and making her squirm.

YN sat on the sofa there watch him go around the house.

"Okay, were not going to live here. We have a new home being made right now. But whilst we here. This is where we make all the good food, it's mostly your Mummy cooking because I am shit at cooking." He went on from kitchen, "this is where we wash you poopy clothes." He said making YN laugh in the living room.

"This is meant to be your room but you're going to sleep with Mummy and Papa until you're a little more big." He showed her the empty room. Her nursery was being put together at their new house so they didn't bother to do anything to this flat, "this where you will be sleeping at night. You Mummy did an amazing job at picking out this cot for you."

YN heard him talking to Juno from their room, "we're going to move this to my side eventually. Your mummy says it's going to be on her side."

"I heard that Harry." YN called out.

He just laughed, "this is our balcony. We can't go out now." He continued, "this is the bathroom, it's not going to be interesting for you for sometime now. Just don't go playing into toilet water like your Mummy when you're a little big."

"Hey!" YN whined, "I still don't know why my mum told you that story!"

"Yeah, and how she washed you three times after that." He had a great laugh.

"I was two years old!" She defend herself.

"Sure."

He walked around the living room, showing her little nooks and bits. He definitely tired her out that she fell back asleep.

"Can I have her for sometime?" YN asked.

"I'm gonna go take a shower. Do you need me to bring you something so you don't have to get up?" He asked.

"No, I'm fine. Doctor has advised me to be up and walking." She shook her head, "I just want some time with her."

"You have about 20 minutes, I need to shave too." He said, glanced at the watch on the wall behind her briefly, "get all the time you can before I'm back clinging beside you two."

With that left Mum and Juno alone.

"You came on your Papa's birthday," YN told her, "we missed celebrating, didn't we? We should order a cake for him."

Juno let out a sleepy sigh. She is just two days old, it's turing to plan a last minute birthday celebration for her dad. But she agrees.

YN ordered a small Lunch box cake to go as it was just going to be him and YN. He took longer than he would and that was perfect as the cake in by that time. Their lunch and dinner was already made by her mother this morning before both of them came back home. YN had placed a frosting candle on it which came along so it wouldn't ruin the cake.

Harry came back downstairs all cleaned up, clean shaved though YN was in love with his stubble but she's sure he won't be able to shave it anytime soon again. He had changed out of the dirty hospital clothes into a comfy white shirt and grey sweats.

"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Juno's Papa. Happy birthday to you." YN sang to surprise him, holding the cake in one hand and Juno in other. She was still in and out of her sleep, she let put a other sigh, her small mouth shaped in a shape of O.

"Where did you get this one from?" Harry gasped taking the cake from her hand so she can hold Juno comfortably. They sat on the sofa and blew the candle making a wish. With the fork he scooped up a bite and brought it upto YN first. It was his thing since he has met her now, everything he gets she easts first, at least one bite. All the while Juno stared at both of her parents with big doe eyes as they shared the cake.

"You'll get it in a few hours through your milk." Harry chuckled looking at her, as if she wanted to have a bite or two herself.

"She has got your eyes." YN said, now her eyes appearing more and more clearer.

"She does." Harry agreed, admiring the girl they made together. Seeing her made his love for his wife grow even more, even if that was possible. "You want to go change up now?"

"Yes, please." YN agreed. "Can you change her up too, please?"

"Mhmm," he nodded, "you want me run you a bath?"

"Please. Thank you." YN agreed. "Can I have a bath though? Doctors had to put stitches up my hoohaa."

"Oh my god, you didn't had to say it like that." He shuddered.

"Hey!" She whined in defeat, "you said I can share everything with you. You're so mean."

"You can baby. But you didn't had to word it like that." He chuckled helping her stand up slowly. "Just take a shower for now, yeah? We'll as your mum or doctor tomorrow about it."

"Yeah."

It was going to be long momth and half staying at home for YN in confinement. It was going to be fun yet annoying to stay inside. But anything for Juno.

In honor of this fine April month, what are your favorite things about Adrinette?

So

This ask is like 2-3 years old I think, but I never forgot about it. I just needed time to assemble my thoughts, and I think now is the best time to answer it because hooooo how far they've come since this ask was sent.

I'm going to break this up into sub-categories so that it's not 8 pages of me just rambling about how cute they are, though I will probably still ramble a lot about how cute they are. But we're going to look at the entire span of their relationship from Origins through Revelation in s5. So, if you haven't watched the out of order episodes from s5 or are waiting for everything to air before you watch, this is your spoiler warning. Let's get into it.

Enemies speedrun

We all love a good enemies-to-lovers story. There's just something inherently satisfying about seeing two people go from hating each other to falling in love. One aspect of their relationship that I appreciate is that sparks didn't fly immediately when they met as civilians. It's not a true enemies-to-lovers, more of a speedrun if you will, because Marinette did lowkey kind of hate him at first. It wasn't until she realized there had been a misunderstanding and saw Adrien's true character that she fell in love with him.

Y’all know the umbrella scene has me in a chokehold always and always will because that moment is just imprinted into my brain. The moment when she truly sees him. Not a marketing image or magazine cover. Not a spoiled rich boy that's friends with her bully. Him. She sees his vulnerability, his desire to be accepted, his kindness. That's what she falls in love with. That was the moment when Adrinette became my favorite side because it was just so raw and genuine and beautifully crafted, and I think that moment has only become more impactful as their relationship has progressed. To see two people who started off at odds, even for a short time, grow to love each other so much is just *chefs kiss*

Seeing beyond the mask

Another thing I love is how Marinette has always been the person to see Adrien for more than what is presented. Yes, she spends a lot of time ogling over his pictures in magazines throughout the show, which some people seem to think is a cardinal sin because how dare a teenage girl think the boy she likes is hot apparently, but when push comes to shove, she has always been the one to look deeper. The umbrella scene is the first instance of that. From the beginning, people wrote him off as being a rich daddy's boy model. Alya literally calls him as such in Origins. They make assumptions based off of his image/status. The difference is Marinette eventually sees past it, and she continues to see past it.

And I know some people are going to say, "What about Nino?" But Nino has taken a huge step back since s1 when it comes to their friendship. Yes, Nino is the first person to give him a chance, but any other time he just waves stuff related to him away. Oh, his dad said he can't come? Oh well. Everyone, including Nino, always writes Marinette off when she's worried about him as Marinette just being Marinette, but she has always seen more than other people when it comes to him. And that's no shade to Nino or saying Nino isn't still his best friend because Nino has tried and failed to help Adrien before. He understands Adrien's life is complicated, but he doesn't think anything more than that. (that we have seen on screen anyway) It's a winless fight that can't be helped.

Marinette always pushes further, like in the NY special when everyone is like oh, Gabriel doesn’t want Adrien to come to NY, what a shame, and Marinette is like I will fight that man myself if I have to, and she does. People have mixed feelings about the canon-ness of the Specials, but I deeply appreciate the Adrinette we got in the NY special, even if it was angsty in the end. I love when Adrien expresses his gratitude to her for sticking up for him because it’s truthfully the first time he’s really gotten to see it happen out of all the times she’s stuck her neck out for him. I think that moment aided his confession in Risk because Adrien feels like he can confide in her and be understood rather than dismissed. Because why should the rich boy complain about having nice things and money and girls falling all over him and getting to travel the world? But Marinette pays attention to him, not just the shiny filter everyone else sees. He's unhappy, and she sees that when all of their other friends don't.

Season 5 has given us a lot of insight into Adrien's home life and how he feels about it. A key moment I think a lot of people have glossed over is in Transmission when he tells Marinette that the Adrien most people know is just a marketing image, and how the two of them can be different. He is inviting her into his world that other people have only scratched the surface of, and as their relationship progresses, she gets to see how thin the glamour really is. I know her speech in Emotion went to the wrong person, but the message still rings true. She doesn't think less of him for being trapped and doing what his father asks. She knows he doesn't have another option and feels stuck, and she wants him to know that she loves him and will always be there for him until they figure it out together.

Another key moment along that same vein is when Marinette goes to talk to Gabriel about their relationship after Emotion, and they have the pancake conversation. Gabriel literally offers her fame and fortune, a successful career in the business she's always wanted. He could hand that to her, but she says no. She sees beyond the shiny glimmer Gabriel presents to the rest of the world, and she values Adrien more than anything. That whole scene where she fights back and disobeys Gabriel's order to find Adrien and tell him it will be alright shows how deeply integrated she's become in his life. She doesn't care if it's hard. She wants to fight the dragon with him, and she's not giving up until they can have their happily ever after. I just think their whole narrative where Marinette is the knight fighting to save the prince is incredibly sweet, and it makes me want to root for them. They're made for each other because they fight for each other and see sides of each other that no one else sees, and I think that's beautiful.

Learning how to love

I absolutely love the way they’re approaching their relationship this season, and how we can see the impact of Adrien’s past loves in the way he approaches her. With Kagami he wasn't decided enough. With Ladybug he was too decided. I've talked about how Glaciator 2 completely changed things for him before, so I won't rehash that too much, but we can see it in the way he approaches Marinette gently and patiently this season. He doesn't push his feelings onto her or demand that she hurry up and decide her feelings. In Migration Adrien isn’t pushing her to open up to him completely right away. He knows she has things she’s not telling him, but rather than focusing on what he wants or thinks their relationship should look like, he worries that she is stressing herself out and hurting herself for his sake, and he doesn’t want that. In Derision, he is patient and constantly checks on her when she’s not doing well. When he finally learns what’s wrong, he listens to her about what she needs and comforts and supports her instead of insisting that she hurry up and figure it out. Both of those things came from his prior loves. With Marinette, he's finally figured out the right amount of push and pull, and the two of them are learning together what they both need and how to love each other in the ways they need to be loved.

One of the reasons Protection is one of my top episodes so far this season is because Adrien realizes that Marinette needs more out of him than he’s been giving, and he puts in more effort! He wants her to feel comfortable with him and puts in the work to help her overcome her anxiety around him. The whole picnic set up is so incredibly thoughtful and sweet and clearly tailored just for her. I love that a message of their love is that you don’t need anything flashy. Adrien is filthy rich and could provide a lot of flash, but instead he sets up a romantic picnic in his backyard. They play games and talk and laugh and watch the clouds in their pajamas. And it’s so sweet! Even the song he sings her in Perfection is about how he doesn’t care about any of those things. He just wants to be with her. Their love is beautifully simple, and I love to see that after several seasons of Marinette making everything overcomplicated. They care about each other, and that’s enough.

She fell first, he fell harder

I am so obsessed with how once Adrien realized he loves her, he was all in, immediately asking her out, swooning over her. She literally spouts nonsense around him half the time, and he's just like aww, she always knows what to say. I love her sm! I dunno. It’s just refreshing after seeing Marinette have zero chill for 4 seasons to see him having absolute heart eyes at her now. When everyone else is shaking their head at her Marinette-isms, Adrien just smiles and laughs with her. One of my all time favorite things when writing their pairing is portraying the moment Adrien realizes he loves her and seeing how his perception changes after that, so seeing that be canon is everything I could have ever asked for. And he doesn’t hesitate to let her know how he feels and how deeply he cares for her. We love to see it.

Love built from friendship, trust, and mutual respect

I know this aspect is hotly contested and controversial in fandom, but I don’t care. Other people’s inability to watch media with their eyes open and understand what’s happening on screen isn’t my problem. Their development from being uncertain and even hostile to each other to being so supportive and caring toward each other is so sweet and satisfying. Seeing Marinette go from barely being able to get a coherent sentence out around him and constantly being jealous of every girl that talked to him to confidently holding his hand, telling him she loves him, and not being threatened even when his father’s marketing campaign is coupling him with his ex-girlfriend is such satisfying character development.

Marinette fell in love with Adrien for his kindness and sincerity. Slowly but surely they became friends, then good friends, and along the way they developed a sweet love and respect for each other. When people challenge Marinette’s honor, Adrien speaks up. When their friends think Adrien sent a mean message, Marinette knows it couldn’t possibly be from him. They see each other, even when others don’t, and I love that about them.

Protective/Sacrificing

Along that same vein, I love how much they protect and sacrifice for each other. Since s1, we’ve seen Marinette sacrifice chances to impress him for his ultimate happiness. When he thinks her scarf came from his dad, when she quietly returns his father’s book so he can come back to school, when she gives up her feelings when he’s in love with someone else. Marinette has always wanted him to be happy, even if that’s not with her. She swallows her feelings when he’s with Kagami, and even tries to help Kagami reignite her feelings after they break up.

In Adrien, we see a protective nature come out in him when it comes to Marinette. How many times has he tackled her away from danger and cradled her head? When she gets bumped to the back of the class, he goes back to join her so she’s not alone. When trouble breaks out, he tells her specifically to find somewhere safe. He took on a statue Hawkmoth with an umbrella to protect her. When he thought she was sad, he tried to cheer her up. When he found out another boy broke her heart and felt no remorse, he snapped. When he realized how bad Chloe used to bully Marinette, he cut ties with her. When Kagami got the wrong impression of Marinette, he set the record straight. They both pay so much attention to each other and are always trying to keep the other one safe and happy. They’re so sweet.

Literally the softest ever

Okay, this is my section to gush about how cute they are. I mean look at them.

You could make several collages of all of the soft looks Adrien has given her over the course of the show.

They are the cutest couple! Literally soulmates, made for each other, perfect in every way for each other wow.

Two absolutely unhinged halves of a whole idiot

Even with as cute as they are, these two are still a chaotic duo, and I love that for them. She literally had him pick up constipation capsules for her once, and he didn't bat an eye. She kissed him when she thought he was a statue, and that was the moment he realized he might like her. She full on panicked about sitting next to him on an airplane, and he was totally unfazed. Even hugged her the next morning and talked about how grateful he was to have her as a friend. When she couldn’t figure out an automatic door, he stayed with her the whole time and jumped to catch her when she fell. We stan two halves of a whole idiot.

Slow Burn

Listen, I know that we were going crazy over the will-they-won’t-they all this time, but seeing them together now has made it all worth it. Watching season 1 again knowing that someday Marinette does confess her feelings and get the boy is just everything. All of their little moments, the soft looks Adrien always gave her and how much we clowned on him for being in denial about his feelings for her. How he finally wised up and realized he loved her. Watching their relationship grow and develop over the last several years has certainly been a journey, but looking back at it now, all of those little hints and pieces we picked up but didn’t know if they’d ever pay off have finally paid off. They’re canon. Like actually, properly canon. And I’m loving that they didn’t wait until the very end for them to confess, but instead are continuing the slow burn by addressing their trauma and Adrien’s complicated home life. They’re dating and still fighting to be together. I love that their love wasn’t just an end-all-be-all prize to win in the very end. They got together and things weren’t perfect. All of their problems didn’t magically get solved. They still have to work together to figure things out and are continuing to grow together. It’s the goodest shit.

Carving their own path

The last thing I want to talk about is how much I appreciate that they are carving their own path for their relationship. Their friends all have this image in their mind of what they need to be happy. Adrien’s father has his own image for what Adrien needs to be happy, but the two of them? They’re like thanks but no thanks. We’re gonna figure this out on our own. Their fairytale love story has been anything but since they got together. Marinette was still having nervous breakdowns around him and running away. Adrien’s father was constantly trying to keep them apart. But despite all of that, they continue to work together to sort through all of the messes and be there for each other. After Adrien learns that Marinette has unresolved trauma that he’s been unknowingly triggering all this time, he makes a change to help her work through that. When Adrien is stuck between what he wants and what his dad wants, Marinette promises not to give up on him.

They’ve told us since the very beginning that these two are made for each other, and we’ve gotten bits and pieces over the course of the show demonstrating the ways they work together in perfect sync, but this season is really showing us why these two are made for each other. It’s because they work for it, and they work together for it. Yes, they have undeniable chemistry and are a perfect team, but when things get hard, they don’t give up on each other.

I dunno. I just think they’re neat.

How do I tell you guys about the unhingednessnessness that is this game without spoiling it?

Well, for one, I can tell you that it's pretty damn crazy. Like always, it starts off so cutesy and "Oh, this guy isn't toxic at all! What do they mean 'yandere'?" to "WHAT THE F--K. IS HAPPENIIIIING?!". Okay, maybe not that unhinged -- actually, it isn't as unhinged as I'm suggesting at all -- but it still gets pretty crazy pretty fast.

This review is going to be way shorter than the other ones that I've done because the game itself is pretty short. It's only like 15 - 20 minutes long, maybe a 5 minute difference if you get the same "What the hell?!" reaction that I had at a very specific part that I'm going to try to avoid telling you.

That being said, the intro is about as long as I can make it considering the game is so short, so let's cut the bullshit and start summarizing.

So, boom.

We get off of work, and we are greeted by our man~

His name is Takuya, and...meh, a little basic lookin' but he still cute or whateva. I'd let him hit it.

Anyways, so Takuya and us are making small talk. In the midst of this small talk, he goes on this weird mini rant about technology, and basically, how he feels that it shouldn't really be a thing because it ruins relationships. We just kind've brush him off, like "Yeah, I know", end the conversation there, and eat dinner.

During dinner, we're talking again, and here he comes with the heavy stuff again. He drops the whole "Do you love me?" question because he's like really, really, really insecure about this, but we reassure him, and he's good again; however, now we're like:

"Aha, time for dessert, knowwhatlmean~?" Oh lawd...

And he's just "Shiiit, okay! But let me do the dishes first". Wack...

So, we put our little flirt session on pause for a second for household chores because he's just got to be the perfect house boyfriend, but it's paused for more than a second because we start feeling real dizzy and pass out.

For the sake of not ruining it, we have this pretty gnarly dream and wake up in a cold sweat because of it, but we are pretty damned disoriented because the dream was super vivid which was super weird because it felt so real. Takuya sees/hears us kind've freaking out and was just like "Don't even trip. I got you. Just go back to bed." but it's like, nah, son, because why are you just brushing me off when I'm trying to confide in you?

You already know that this started a whoooole bunch of shit, and it starts to rapidly go downhill from here. No, I am not telling you what happened or even going to give a synopsis because I can't! Lol don't look like that! You already know that I wasn't going to tell you how it ended nor all the juicy details because I need you to play this for yourself! But I will leave you with this very concerning screenshot from the game.

Like I said, 100/10 I would give you more details, and believe me, I really, really, REALLY want to but also like I said, the game was super short and pretty much to the point. It damn near went from 0 to 100 without much warning -- it lowkey did, to be real with you. You deadass just have to play the game yourself, and I promise you'll see what I mean when I say it truly is short and psycho.

For it being so short, this visual novel is pretty damned intense, and it is good!

The best part about this game to me is the visuals of Takuya's sprite. As per usual, you'll know what I'm talking about when you play it yourself. There has been quite a few times that, when I read a visual novel, the imagery around the sprite will startle me, especially if it was meant to be a jumpscare or something, but holy shit, seeing Takuya's sprite change was extremely unsettling this time around. And then--! What made it all the more effective was what he said when the personality flip happened.

Ugh! It's so frustrating because I want to tell you guys about that scene so bad, but it'll ruin a crucial part of the story, and it's burning me not to include it in this review. I'll leave you with this though, and for like the third time at this point, you'll know what I mean if you choose to play this:

• The way that you THINK his sentence is going to end is not the way it ends, and it ran a literal shiver down my spine the execution was so good • That scene alone made that entire game. It was pretty good, but then that scene carried it on its shoulders. It really solidified the tone and creepiness and suspense of the game

That's pretty much all I have to say! Like I said, definitely play the game yourself, because explaining it without the really intense part just does not cut it. You honestly have to play it because you are missing out on a short, intense little gem of a game. Just as a fair heads up, it's a touch bit predictable, but at the same time it's not. If you're like me, you'll have a very clear suspicion during a specific part, and while you're right, it's not exactly going to pan out the way that you think nor for that particular reason. There's still some surprise to it, so don't let that deter you!

- this goes back to the hc of them sharing a bed, every morning afo would wake up on the ground due to yoichi pushing him off cuz he "took too much space", which is why their parents ended up buying them that big 2 people bed

- when yoichi was a baby/toddler/kid he was one of those annoying ass children that will pull your hair so hard for no reason, and he would pull afos hair and his dads beard or chew on it but he never did it to his mom cuz he loves his mama, and their parents kept like a chunk of afos hair in a box to remember the time when yoichi was a baby and pulled way too hard on afos hair💀💀💀

- afo will sometimes sit next to yoichi, then grab one of his feet and pull on his toes to crack them cuz that's a older siblings evil nature, and yoichi would just scream and kick him in the face cuz that shit hurts 💀

- lowkey I feel like yoichi was spoiled and bratty up until after he finished middle school, mostly cuz his parents spoiled him since he was that "sick, weak youngest of the family", and yoichi wasn't necessarily bratty to his family but to outside people, but he would still always get his way

- afo was never actually jealous when his parents spoiled yoichi more than him, it made him feel more confident and stronger knowing he dosent need to be spoiled so he never was jealous of yoichi

- they used to watch teen titans together. (Afo's favourite was starfire and probably still is cuz she's similar to yoichi or am I delulu😍)

- one time yoichi threw up on all for one while he was trying to feed yoichi his medicine cuz ew medicine, yoichi did nothing but laugh while afo just "🧍🏻‍♂️😨" (I may or may not be projecting)

- yoichi and afo actually looked very alike when they we're kids, afos hair was curly when he was little and whenever yoichi had his hair short it would curl the same way afos hair does, they stopped looking alike after afos body became more muscular(?)

- yoichi was one of those babies that were born with a whole ass set of hair and by the time he was 2 his hair was above his shoulders by a little bit, his mom would cut it but figured he looked cuter with long hair

- afo had small freckles that disappeared as he grew up

- afo will pick up yoichi and toss him on his shoulder for no reason, he'd do this as kids too since it would scare little yoichi😭

- all for one nicknames yoichi as "chi-chi"

- actually don't know if this counts as hc for the shigaraki brothers, but I feel like their parents were never abusive or mean but rather gentle and caring, and their dad was more sweet meanwhile their mom was like the low tempred one, not towards them but like towards other people I mean, you bully yoichi or afo? She makes a riot about it and does bad things to the children or people who hurt her babies, and I like to think shes the one with the all for one quirk that..afo💀 inherited, other than that she was a caring parent along with the dad, but then they died😞 how? Idk, I also like to think of their mom's personality like alices personality from genshin impact (you can search up on her if you wanna know how she's like and what she's done)

- yoichi dosent support afos actions and will necessarily not forgive him, but he'll never bring himself to say he hates his older brother despite what he's done

- yoichi was the more feral brother growing up (hehe feral yoichi I love it) and afo was the one that had to keep him from running around and destroying things for no reason like a cat

- when they were kids, all for one would make yoichi watch those jumpscare videos for no reason, idk why but I like to think that all for one loved to scare yoichi for no reason as kids despite having to make unnecessary promises that he'll regret for yoichi so he can stop crying so their parents don't get mad like
