Geen broodjes aap over We are food
Afgelopen woensdag was het wereld vrouwendag. Nu vraagt u zich misschien af ‘Wat heeft dat te maken met de titel van deze blog?’. ‘En waar gaat die titel eigenlijk over?’. Nieuwsgierig geworden? Ik vertel u graag wat mij afgelopen woensdag inspireerde.
Om te beginnen ben ik een ontzettende liefhebber van lekker en vooral verrassend eten. Vooral buitenlandse keukens vind ik erg inspirerend, van Afghaans tot Braziliaans. In de kruisbestuiving ontstaan weer nieuwe, spannende gerechten. Ik was dus aangenaam verrast door de kennismaking met Broodje Aap en Linke Soep. Dit is een initiatief van twee vrouwen om mensen (vooral ook vrouwen) uit verschillende culturen samen te laten koken. Mensen die zijn gevlucht uit diverse landen en die in Nederland mogen blijven, leren hier al kokende de Nederlandse taal en gewoonten. En wij worden geïnspireerd door hun kookkunsten, maar zeker ook door hun ervaringen en vaardigheden op andere vlakken.
De naam ‘broodje aap en linke soep’ refereert aan de vele broodjes aap die er verteld worden over vluchtelingen. Je ervaart dat het helemaal geen linke soep is, maar juist ontzettend lekker, leuk en inspirerend om samen te koken en te eten. Want aan tafel is ruimte voor ontmoeting, vinden goede gesprekken plaats. Wat ook geen broodje aap is, is de titel Europese regio van de gastronomie die Brabant in 2018 mag dragen. Dat bleek ook afgelopen woensdag tijdens de kick off met meer dan 250 aanwezigen: boeren, ondernemers in agrofood, bestuurders en andere betrokkenen.
Het programma voor 2018 krijgt de titel We are food en staat in het teken van beter eten. Woensdag is de kapstok voor het programma gepresenteerd: ‘laten zien wat we doen’ en ‘doen wat we zeggen’. De invulling wordt vooral door Brabanders zelf aangedragen. En dat deden de aanwezigen in de zaal massaal: aandacht voor insecten eten, mannetjes (bokjes, stiertjes en haantjes) niet vergeten, kwetsbare groepen zoals ouderen, kennis over voedsel bij kinderen, beter eten op festivals en festivals over beter eten, de positie van de boer, plantaardige eiwitten, samenwerking over de grenzen van Brabant heen en onze bevoorrechte positie ten opzichte van derde wereld landen.
Vanaf 1 april kunnen foodinitiatieven zich aanmelden. Het lijkt mij ontzettend leuk als ook initiatieven zoals Broodje Aap en Linke Soep dit themajaar benutten. Wie weet is er een verbinding te leggen met de Brabantse landbouw of komt er een stadstuin bij de lunchservice. Wie weet vinden nieuwe Brabanders een baan bij onze boeren of beginnen onze boeren een neventak in integratie. Of gaan nieuwe Brabanders onze keukenbazen inspireren met verrassende recepten.
Natuurlijk was er woensdag van alles te eten. Vooral Brabantse producten met een bijzonder verhaal over innovatie, ondernemerschap en duurzaamheid. Als laatste wil ik hun bijdrage via deze blog nog even in het zonnetje zetten. Het geeft een sneak preview van wat we in Brabant in huis hebben als het gaat om beter eten. WE ARE FOOD - OVER DE KUNST VAN VOEDSELZONDAG 25 FEBRUARI T/M ZONDAG 16 SEPTEMBER 2018 Over de kunst van voedsel Zonder voedsel kan niemand leven. Maar hoe vaak staan we nou eigenlijk stil bij wat we elke dag weer eten? Met de tentoonstelling WeAreFood wil Museum Jan Cunen zijn bezoekers op een nieuwe en ongewone manier naar voedsel laten kijken. Een ruime selectie kunstwerken, van schilderijen, foto’s en beelden tot installaties, videokunst en design, maken de kijker op originele wijze bewust van onze weliswaar dagelijkse maar desondanks gecompliceerde omgang met voedsel. De tentoonstelling met werk van voornamelijk Nederlandse en ook enkele buitenlandse kunstenaars is verrassend, ontregelend en prikkelend, soms bloedserieus, dan weer humoristisch of relativerend. Er wordt niet geoordeeld en ook geen loftrompet gestoken. Wel worden er vragen opgeroepen. Wat zegt ons voedsel over onszelf? Bewustwording, daar gaat het om in WeAreFood.

Deeper into the rabbit hole.....
A very informative documentary that identifies the concepts of domination, control and energy vampirism linked to paedophilia here on Earth as learned behaviors from ancient negative ET races. These are the races that have inspired the ritualistic abuse and occult practices within the Cabal as part of their agenda to dominate, control and feed from Earth's populace.
These are not things we WANT to think about. But we NEED to be aware that this is very real. It's not a new concept. Every person who has made similar claims can't all be lunatics, liars or misinformation agents. Positive ET races are working tirelessly to do as much as they can to help us. But ultimately only WE can free ourselves by raising our vibration, being of service to each other and recognizing that we are all part of the One.
As a side note, my first blog post was entitled "Down the rabbit hole...." which I find to be an interesting example of synchronicity.👽

Cholesterol is waxy substance found in our blood and cells. Your liver makes most of it, actually over 80% of the cholesterol found in the body is produced in the body! The other 20% or less comes from how and what you eat. Think about that one! Cholesterol is not bad as your body needs it to produce hormones, Vitamin D and digestive fluids. The medical industry claims its bad, maybe that’s why we are seeing so many people with hormonal issues, low Vitamin D and digestive issues!? How does it get to be high? Stress: Anytime we have more stress in our life or inflammation in our body, cholesterol goes up. That should be a marker for you to realize that something deeper is going on. Not blame cholesterol and take a statin to lower it. The healthier our daily habits, the healthier our cholesterol. High cholesterol is a marker for thyroid issues: Your body needs thyroid hormones to make cholesterol and to get rid of the cholesterol it doesn’t need. Its that simple! When thyroid levels are low, your body cannot make cholesterol nor can it break down and remove LDL cholesterol. LD cholesterol can build up in your blood. Remember, this is a sign – there is stress in the system, which is affecting the conversion of thyroid hormone, which is affecting the production of cholesterol and the break down of LDL. That is why your cholesterol goes up and LDL is high. No other reason! Statins and thyroid health: If you have an under active thyroid or conversion issues and take a statin, they most likely won’t work. If anything, resulsts will be delayed until the problem with the thyroid is treated. If you treat the thyroid, your cholesterol levels will regulate. This is a huge topic. Besides the normal thing that most gluten containing grains are GMO grains, processed grains, etc. They cause inflammation in the lining of the small intestine, which leads to an immune response, the inability to break down food, absorption of food, cause a host of symptoms and lead to osteoporosis, infertility, nerve damage and more. But lets understand what gluten is because I feel there is a ton of confusion around it and other grains. * Gluten is a prolamine which is a group of plant storage proteins that have a high proline content and found on plant materials such as wheat. But there is the thing, gliadinin is a prolomine that is found in wheat only. Barley contains hordeins, rye secalins, etc. So remember that wheat is the ONLY grain that contains gliadin. Oats do not contain gluten. So all that marketing to say gluten free oats is false. They do contain a prolomine but contain avenin. * The grains of today are not the same grains when we were even children, when our parents were growing up, etc. Most people wonder when they go to foreign countries why they can tolerant grains better. It comes down to this, Americans being superficial, as the flour bleaching agent used to whiten our flour also oxidizes the surfaces of the flour and helps with developing of gluten. Hence gluten intolerance from the bleaching agent would answer the question of what has happened to your wheat supply. Sorry guys' but it is not the pesticides etc etc. When water and flour mix, gluten is produced. Other reasons: US wheat contains glyphosate (toxic ingredient of Round Up) which not only causes GI issues, but also is a chelator. * What to do? I recommend all clients, humans and other the like to eliminate gluten from their diet and refrain from eating it at all cost. There are so many other gluten free choices in our world today but you even have to be careful with those as some or poor quality foods. The answer is, because your mitochondria in your cells are not producing energy (CO2, ATP, water) and producing lactic acid (inflammatory) instead. Why? Because you are not storing glycogen, allowing your liver to convert thyroid hormone to be used in the cell to produce energy. * In August 2014, I read an article published in the Integrative Medicine: A Clinician’s Journal titled “Mitochondrial Dysfunction and Chronic Disease: Treatment with Natural Supplements”…… the loss of function in mitochondria will result in fatigue. * Your cells and mitochondria are the energy producing parts of the cell. They give your systems and your…energy! They are in all your tissues and we have over 100,000 trillion in our bodies. They are the place where metabolism occur. * Fatigue is the most common sign of an under-active mitochondria within the cell. What causes this? Well it can be many things, for one its oxidative stress. This is like rust on the engine per say. Things like under eating, over eating too many calories, smoking, environmental toxins can create oxidative stress.
