Being Yourself
Online is always talked about as that place you can be whoever you want, and honestly it’s kinda true. It’s really fun to be able to be whoever you feel like being, I love the freedom in things like RP and just the fact that I can be completely me online and none of them can rat me out in real life XD
Then however, comes long distance relationships. That crosses the wires, on one hand there’s a freedom there that sadly even in real life relationships can be difficult to find in the beginning. But then on the other hand there is always that love and dream to come together in real life which means they get to see people you’re around every day and dang is the mixing of those words frightening sometimes.
One of the hardest things there is can be to be true to yourself, but I think that’s a blessing that comes with online relationships that people need to use. Online allows us to let down some of those barriers that can be hard in real life, it allows us a place where we can be ourselves. One of the best things you can give to a relationship is to be yourself honestly ♥

recent thoughts - week 7/52
your thoughts shape the way you act and feel. guard your mind. if you want to be positive, think positively, and feed your mind good things
reminder to self: I am not my anxieties. I am so much more than that. I am me - strong, smart, and courageous because I wake up in the morning and put my feet on the ground and tell myself I can make it through the day... I am the dimpled smile I find myself able to give others even when I don’t think I’m capable. I am the key strokes on my computer that form words I’m proud of and wish to give others hope with. I am the fight I’ll bring to conquer those negative thoughts - every single one of them, because that’s who I am, the person who won the fight with my own mind... This is me. I am fearfully and wonderfully made by our amazing God. I am not my anxieties.

what i've learned: i think we need to respect the opinions of other people. kung ano ang pinaniniwalaan nila respeto na lang. Wag nang mag bash sa internet o kahit sa pag -uusap. Kasi we're all entitled on our own opinion.

The death of the Advertising star...
For reasons that have not yet made themselves entirely clear I have spent the last few weeks slowly becoming increasingly fascinated with advertising. Thinking back, this was all kick started by the terribly sad passing of Lynda Bellingham to cancer. The reporting of her death was the thing that grabbed my interest though. Each time her name was mentioned it was followed by words to the effect. “Lynda was most commonly known for her role as the Oxo mum in the popular series of television adverts” This was interesting to me as I can’t think of the last time somebody was most famous for their appearance in an advert. I don’t think we will ever see that kind of thing again. The Oxo campaign featuring Lynda was successful and it stuck around for a long time without people switching off to it. That’s a hard nut to crack. Repeated exposure to the same things in this day and age when our society demands a constantly updated stream of fresh content is a big fat no. There’s a general consensus that for some reason everything online should be free, instantly accessible, constantly updated and fresh regardless of the quality of the media in question. This throw away online society is letting fantastic stories, pictures and even advertising campaigns slip through the net, fall off the end of the Facebook timeline or disappear from your twitter feed and onto the scrapheap that is time.
This fall from grace usually takes place before the content has even had time to hit it's correct target audience and be appreciated because the next big thing has already come along and taken it’s place. Advertising is an art form. I think it could be an art form that’s slowly dying.

What do I need to let go of?
What do I need to let go of?
Journal Prompt 2: What do I need to let go of? Stage fright: I want to be a great spoken word artist. If I’m going to accomplish that goal. Then I have to get over my stage fright. I’m not the first and certainly won’t be the last person to face this fear. But I will be one of the ones to overcome it. Toxic family members: I have to let go of situations that have passed. They were horrible and…
