Level 1: breakouts, non-painful, a little scarring

Minimize your skincare routine, all you need is an oil cleanser (if you wear a lot of makeup) than a good foam cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen. Repeat the same routine before bed just without the sunscreen.

Always apply more moisturizer than you think you need.

Drink a lot of water (2-3LT)

Get consistent sleep

Take a multi vitamins to balance your hormones. I recommend the One-A-Day Woman’s Vitamins (get a real pill cause the gummies don’t have enough iron)

Work on your stress (breathe work, meditate, journal, yoga, walks, going out with friends, therapy, etc)

Look at what body oils/shampoo/conditioner you are using. Could be your akin reacting poorly to something in there.

Level 2: consistant breakouts, acne, scarring

All the stuff for Level 1 apply.

Minimize your skincare routine and than slowly add back in stuff like hydrochloric acid and retinol. Having an elaborate skincare will just make your skin worse. First, focus on healing your skin barrier.

If you are a teenager, it just might be your hormones/growing pains. It will go away eventually.

Pimple Patches work and are especially good if you are trying to stop touching your face.

Wash your pillow cases every 1-2 weeks.

Try to sleep on your back.

Fantastic Four Volume 1 Issue 4.

So this issue features the return of a Marvel Golden Age character, that being Namor the Sub-Mariner. He's a mutant, a human, an Atlantean, and the first hero to ever fly. Though he starts off his Silver Age debut as a villain. I was always curious as to why Marvel chose to do this, especially because later on he does become a hero. Though recently he's more of a neutral type of character. I've also come to notice a lot of water based heroes to this route. Coincidence maybe? Anyway on to our thrilling tale, and the return of the Sub-Mariner.

Alright so this issue is pretty fun. It takes place right after the events of the last issue with Johnny Storm leaving the Fantastic Four. Though I don't like that they blame the Thing for it I believe both are at fault here. Anyway they decide to start searching the entire city for the Human Torch with the Fantasticar. Though all of them fail except the Thing who finds him in his garage.

Johnny ends up fleeing from the Thing, due to him turning back into Ben Grimm. Honestly I feel bad for the guy, this tends to happen often to him, even later having Mister Fantastic make serums to help him turn back. Only for it to last a few measly minutes.

Well Johnny ends up staying at a very run down Men's Hotel. Where he finds a comic from the 1940s, which features, you guessed it, the Sub-Mariner. Then by sheer dumb luck guess who Johnny ends up running into at this shabby run down hotel. That's right, the Sub-Mariner. Johnny uses his flaming fingers to give him a hair cut, removing his long hair and beard. Then boom, classic Golden Age Sub-Mariner.

Anyway our other three heroes continue the search for Johnny, while he basically slips past them, well he slips past his sister. Then he takes Namor, and drops him into the Ocean. Which gives Namor back his memories and he then remembers that he is Namor the Sub-Mariner the legendary prince of the sea.

Namor then swims to what was once his undersea kingdom. Only to find it destroyed by humans radioactive weapons. I wonder if Godzilla was close by. Namor then swears his revenge and vows to destroy the surface world. Just a recap real quick that means, The Mole Man and his underground group wishes to destroy the surface, the Skulls from Space wish to conquer the Earth, and Miracle Man just wanted to have us fear him. Now Sub-Mariner and any ocean buddies also want to destroy the surface world. 616 earth cannot catch a break.

Anyway the Fantastic Four catch up with Johnny, and he tells them what all has happened. Sub-Mariner then summons a massive sea creature from the Depths known as Giganto to attack the surface world. The Fantastic Four attack only to learn that nothing can harm it from the outside, but what about inside. That's when they send in my man the Thing. They strap a nuke to his back and have him walk into Gigantos stomach to plant it and blow him up. What a Chad. Thing also battles some monsters while in Gigantos stomach so again he is without a doubt the best member of the team.

Well after Giganto dies, Namor resurfaces with his horn to summon another terrible monster in which Sue steals it from him. Though he instantly catches her, and she turns visible and Namor falls in love with her, and then she also finds him very attractive like he asks her to marry him and she genuinely thinks it over, and they first met seconds ago. You guys thought Disney was bad with it's quick love stories.

Well Namor then tries to steal Sue away beneath the Ocean, and none of the Fantastic Four can think of how to prevent this. Until Johnny uses his flying speed to create a whirlwind and transport Namor back into the Ocean without his horn. Like the horn just gets lost in the depths, and Namor "loses". Though the Fantastic Four swear if he returns he will have them to deal with.

Alright so this comic is alright, I feel like I say that a lot. Namor is a really good addition to the Silver Age of comics. Just he's really depowered so that the Fantastic Four can win. Also I don't like the Sue, Namor, and Reed love triangle. It to me is probably the weaker love triangle within comics. Also this comic and the last one really make me not like Johnny Storm.

Anyway onto our character analysis for this comic.

Alright my views on Mister Fantastic stay the same from the last issue. Though I don't know how he wouldn't have found Johnny with his superior intellect, but I'm also glad he didn't. He also doesn't do a whole lot this issue, again I'm not upset with this, I'm glad some other characters got to make the power play in this issue. So Reed buddy keep doing you.

Sue, why, why are you like this? Like I don't dislike her, some of her scenes are funny, and would be something id definitely do if I had invisibility. Like she take a sip of a drink at a diner and everyone thinks the place is haunted these are the shenanigans I live for. Just why did you fall for Namor so quickly I don't understand.

Johnny, I'm still not a big fan of you buddy. You kind of caused the problem this issue and didn't really solve it, although you did. Just I know you'll get better but honestly my opinion of Johnny has stayed in the lower regions like in the last issue.

Thing, my man, the Goat. The more I get of you, the more you become my favorite member of this team. You strapped a Nuke to your back and walked into Gigantos belly. A true hero, and I'm sorry you keep changing from Ben to the Thing for basically a few seconds. I know your future is bright, keep being brilliant.

Namor the Sub-Mariner, I actually really like this character. I think his introduction is very forced, but hey it's comics. Also I just like the design, the swimming speedo, the wings on his ankles, the pointy ears. All very nice, I just don't see what Sue sees in him. Take out the love triangle and he's a really good antagonist. Also you where robbed of tpk, but hey that's comics for ya.

Alright so next issue we will be introduced to one of the Fantastic Fours most notorious villains, and possibly the most notorious in all of Marvel Comics. Until next time.

Bucky sat alone in his darkened apartment. The tv was on, casting eerie shadows along the walls and filling the room with the sounds of soccer game. His eyes were vacant, unfocused. He felt himself getting lost in the deep waters of his thoughts, drowning with no hopes of resurfacing. A deep ache had set up camp in his chest two days ago with no intention of leaving. It was unbearable, and nothing Bucky did could make it go away. It worsened with each passing moment, never relenting- but he was certain that he deserved to feel such pain.

A light knock pulled Bucky out of his ever-darkening thoughts. Every part of him wished it was you knocking on his door, but he knew it wasn’t. With a huff, he pulled himself up off of the floor and dragged his body to the door. He found Sam standing in the hall with a six pack and a pizza, and normally, it would’ve been a welcome visit. But he hesitated to let Sam in. The only person he wanted to see, the only person he wanted to talk to, was you. But he’d fucked that up royally.

Sam and Bucky ate and drank without talking, both men with their eyes focused on the game but not really paying attention. After the pizza was demolished and the beers emptied, Sam decided to broach the subject, “So…have you spoken to her?” Bucky sunk deeper into the couch and shook his head. He’d never felt so defeated in his very long life.

“I don’t think she wants to talk to me…” he muttered, “I think it might be over”. Sam didn’t know what to do. All he knew was that Bucky needed to be with you more than he needed oxygen, and right now, he was suffocating.

“So, the two of you fought, that’s normal for a couple…” Sam offered, but Bucky shut him down. He thought back over everything that had happened and hated himself so much that wished he could blip again. “We didn’t just fight- we got into an argument and when I got up to leave the bedroom…” he paused for a moment, letting the shame wash over him, “I ripped the door off the hinges. I didn’t mean to, I was just- I was upset…sometimes I don’t know my own strength”.

Sam cringed at the image of Bucky partially destroying your apartment. He hadn’t expected those words to come out of Bucky’s mouth, not when he knew how Bucky was around you. He was always gentle with you- always soft and kind and quiet with his best girl. Sam shifted uncomfortably on the couch with no idea what to say. All he could come up with was, “oh…I didn’t know that”. Bucky nodded. He replayed the incident over and over again until he thought he might throw up.

A grueling, throbbing pain cut through him with every beat of his heart. He’d been in agony for the two days since it happened, but admitting what he did out loud struck the final blow. His jaw clenched and his hands balled into tight fists as he sat silently, hating the serum than coursed through his veins. A scarlet trail began to ooze from his palm as his nails dug deep into the flesh, but he didn’t notice- he was too consumed with thoughts of you.

“You should’ve…” he eventually muttered, “you should’ve seen the way she looked at me”. He thought back on how scared you’d been, how terrified you were of him. Your wide eyes and open mouth haunted him every time he blinked. He’d seen himself as a monster for years, but never wanted you to view him that way. He’d worked so hard to shed his sharp, intimidating Winter Soldier exterior and be the kind of man you deserved, but he failed.

“It hurts so much- why does it hurt so much?” he asked, his voice utterly broken, “I just want it to stop”. Sam sighed; he hated seeing his best friend in so much pain. Bucky had never gone through heartbreak before- he didn’t know how to handle it. This was a completely new experience for him that made him want to rip his heart out of his chest with his too-strong metal hand. He'd never thought he'd have someone in his life to be heartbroken over, and now that he'd lost you, he wished someone could wipe his mind one last time.

“It hurts because you love her...” Sam murmured, “It’s kind of a good thing-means you actually care. Have you tried to reach out?” All Bucky could offer was a shameful shake of his head, prompting Sam to huff. He checked the coffee table, the couch, and the floor, but couldn’t find Bucky’s phone.

He asked where it was, and Bucky mumbled something about it still being in his bag. Sam rolled his eyes and strode across the room, rummaging through Bucky’s duffel until he unearthed his phone. “Oh, shit- okay, well, you’ve got twelve missed calls and twenty-one texts from her. So…I think she wants to talk”, Sam told him.

Bucky’s head snapped in his friend’s direction and was off the couch in seconds. He scanned your messages in disbelief:

“Buck, please come back. I’m not upset.”

“Please please don’t worry about this, babe. It’s not a big deal. Just come over.”

“I miss you. Can we talk?”

“Bucky, I love you. Please call me back.”

He couldn’t believe it- you still wanted him. You missed him. You loved him. Relief began to spread through him slowly, making him feel real again. “Shit, she’s been trying to talk to me this whole time” Bucky mumbled. Sam shot him a ‘duh’ kind of look and grabbed his jacket. “Once again, Sam Wilson saves the day”, he joked as he headed out the door, “you’re welcome”. In a flash, Bucky pulled on his boots and grabbed his leather jacket, knowing he had to get to you as soon as possible.

He spent the entire ride to your place working on what he was going to say, but he knew it was pointless- he was certain he’d fall apart immediately upon seeing you. When he reached your door, he knocked gently, not wanting to alarm you. His mouth ran dry when you opened the door with your tear-stained cheeks and red-rimmed eyes. “Buck…?” you murmured. Fresh tears pooled in your eyes and you wiped them with the back of your hand before falling into Bucky’s embrace.

“I didn’t mean to ignore you-I wasn’t looking at my phone. I didn’t think you’d wanna talk…” he muttered. You pulled away for a second and took his chin between your fingers, looking him deep in the eye. “If you thought I didn’t wanna talk to you,” you said with a sniffle, “then you don’t know me at all”. He chuckled a little and reveled in the feeling of you wrapped up in his arms. For the first time in two days, he felt the muscles in his shoulders begin to relax. It was amazing the effect you had on him, the way you could melt the tension from his body with just one touch.

He didn’t want to ruin the moment, but knew deep down he had to apologize. “Baby, about the other night- with the door…” he cringed as he brough it up, “I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to. I know I scared you, I just- sometimes I don’t know my own strength”. You could hear the shame coloring his voice. Your poor super soldier was always so gentle and sweet with you; he never wanted to expose you to the side of him that could snap you in half with ease. He was rambling, letting his anxiety get the best of him, when you took his face in your hands.

“You didn’t scare me”, you asserted, “Surprised me? Yeah. But I wasn’t scared…I know you’d never hurt me, Buck”. Bucky heard the sincerity in your words but remained unconvinced. His eyes flicked behind you to the hall that led to your bedroom, his gaze falling upon the broken hinges and bits of debris he’d left behind. “You sure about that? The look on your face told me otherwise…” he said as quirked an eyebrow at you.

“I’m sure. Honestly, Buck, the first thing that came to mind was that my landlord is gonna hate me- that's what you saw on my face,” you joked, “would you- would you just come in?” He let you take him by the hand and lead him inside, shutting the door behind you. “I want you here-I didn’t want you to leave in the first place”, you murmured.

He shoved his hands into the pocket of his jeans and tried to remember any of the things he'd rehearsed on his drive. “I feel normal with you, baby”, he said with a small smile, “when I’m around you, you make me feel like a regular person- and then I rip a door of the fucking hinges and it reminds me that I’m kind of a monster, you know?”

“Buck, you’re not a monster. You’re literally a super-hero. And all those years at Hydra, you were using maximal force all the time-" his jaw tensed at your mention of his Winter Soldier days. You saw his eyes darkening and quickly stopped his spiral, “but you’re always so gentle with me. You’ve never hurt me- not once. Skincare is a tricky thing, because everybody's skin is different and as such has different needs. What works for one person may not work for another.

Firstly, you should start with my top skincare tips post so you understand the basics, function of ingredients, and which products are essential or not. You can also check out my skincare tag if you're interested in additional reading.

That being said, here are the basics from my routine and what currently works for me:

Morning routine:

Vitamin C serum: La Roche Posay - Vit C10 This helps brighten complexion, softens skin and helps to fade any blemishes, scars, etc. Pro tip: keep your Vit C serum in the fridge, Vit C tends to oxidize and turn orange with time, even if i doesn't affect its efficiency.

Sunscreen: La Roche Posay - Anthelios for Face SPF50 This is what I've been using for 2 years now, it's popular for good reason. Although I will say they recently changed the formula from completely dry to a little oily, and I prefer the former.

Night routine:

Cleanser: CeraVe - SA Smoothing Cleanser This is a chemical exfoliant (with Salicylic Acid) which is great for acne or break-out prone skin, to be used 2-3 times a week. For daily use I recommend CeraVe's classic cleanser, the Hydrating Cleanser.

Moisturizer: Bioderma - Hydrabio Riche Gentle, moisturizing, rich but not greasy. I always go back to this. (It's for dry skin, but if other readers have oily skin, try the Hydrabio Legere version instead.)

Skin-barrier repair (optional): La Roche Posay - Cicaplast Baume B5 This is a holy grail if you have damaged skin from using too many products, exfoliants, sunburn, etc. It's very gentle and soothing, and really does improve skin overnight. You can use it for face, body, even lips, but for that I prefer the product below.

Skin-barrier repair for lips (optional): La Roche Posay - Cicaplast Baume for Lips This is my go-to for intense hydration and repair (ie. chapped lips, wore drying lipstick all day, etc). Leave it on overnight and you'll wake up with smooth, plush lips ready for the day.

Retinol: The Ordinary - Retinol 0.2% in Squalane, CeraVe - Resurfacing Retinol Serum, La Roche Posay - Effaclar Adapalene 0.1% Topical Retinoid Retinol essentially regenerates your skin, helps with fine lines, wrinkles, scarring, etc. I'm still looking for the best retinol product, but I would recommend either of the above, all of which are direct recommendations I've found by dermatologists via Youtube or IG.

Conclusions

The only essentials you need are: cleanser, sunscreen, moisturizer. Everything else helps, but isn't necessary.

If you choose to add new products to your skincare routine, always add 1 at a time. That way you'll know which one is or isn't working for you.

Create the skincare routine that works for you. Don't go running after trends and trying out a hundred different things. Only test 1 product at a time, and when something works for you, keep it in your routine.

If you can afford it, reach out to a dermatologist to recommend products that are tailored to your needs. Most of the products listed were recommended by my dermatologist for mine.

If that's not an option currently, start following board-certified dermatologists on social media instead of taking advice from random people online as fact. You'll learn so much from their tips, plus it's free! I like watching Dr. Dre and Shereene Idriss, they are both entertaining and educational.

You knew you should’ve left your phone out in the kitchen. You knew, and yet you didn’t. 

Technically nothing bad would’ve happened if you hadn’t. Technically Helmut Zemo was supposed to be in prison. Neither of those things were what actually happened. 

So, instead of grasping the glass you were reaching for, you took the ringing phone instead. Grumpy at the prospect of talking to someone while you were enjoying your bubble bath, you made it clear to the person on the other end that you really were… grumpy. 

“You have five seconds, if you don’t explain the purpose of your call in that time I’m hanging up.” 

“That’s not the greeting I’d expect you to give your fiancé.” 

“Ex-fiancé.” A beat passed, as if the weight of your correction hadn’t hit until now. “You have gall calling me, you know that?” He hummed.

“Yes well,” he said. “Oeznik said you’d broken into my place at Riga, and have taken residence there for the past five years.”

“I didn’t ‘break in’, no one moved the key.” you said, swishing some bubbles around your knees. 

“You hid the key, no one else knew where it was.” That made you giggle, sinking yourself further into the warm water. 

“I did.” you said, “Is that why you called, to kick me out now that you’re on the run again?” 

“Yes, and no.” You could almost hear a grin on his face too. “I’m outside, with a few... Friends. I figured you’d appreciate the knowledge that you are about to get invaded.” You groaned. 

“Really?” 

“What, are you not home?” he asked. “We don’t have a key so I’d appreciate it if you came back.” 

“No, it’s just,” you sighed, “I just got into a bath, Zemo. You have the most awful timing.” 

“Normally I’d be rather happy to hear that, but considering the company I’d rather you hadn’t done that.” 

“Oh yeah right, as if you told me you were coming before now!” Silence passed after your little outburst, and you could hear someone talking to Helmut on the other side of the phone.

“Does that mean we can’t come in?”

“Just come in.” you said, hanging up and almost throwing your phone over onto the countertop. You rubbed your fingertips into your temples, then submerged into the water. 

It was peaceful under the water, but your ex was outside - soon to be inside - and you weren’t sure whether to feel anxious, annoyed, happy, or all three. No matter what you felt, the peacefulness wouldn’t last. Especially since you did need to breathe. When you resurfaced, you were met with eyes - and a head - poking out to greet you from behind the bathroom door. 

“What, missed me so much that you can’t wait until I look presentable?” 

“I think you look fine.” he said. Of course he thought that.

“You aren’t allowed to think about what I look like.” you said, “Now hand me that towel.”

Luckily for you, and probably for the others in the room also, you didn’t waste time in getting from the bathroom to your bedroom. You decided, for the sake of spite, to dress up for the occasion. 

Nothing too fancy, of course, but enough to make you look a million bucks. 

So when you stepped out of your room, hair still wet and a little messy, you had the attention of the room. 

“(y/n), these are the boys. Boys, this is my fiancé (y/n).”

“Ex-fiancé, Zemo.” you said, glaring over at the man, “And you don’t get to call me by my name anymore.”

“Great, back to square one with Bloody Mary.” he mumbled. 

You ‘tsked’ him, ignoring his comment, and turned to the other two men. 

“Hi,” you said, smiling and holding a hand for them to shake, “You can call me Bee.” 

“I’m Sam, that’s Bucky.” One said, standing to shake your hand before nodding his head over at the other. You looked over his shoulder to Helmut. 

“I didn’t know you had friends fresh out of prison, let alone such handsome ones.” you said, reeling in amusement as he shook his head at you, “Are they as deadly as their looks?” 

The room went silent, and you laughed to yourself. 

“So you and him, were…” Bucky broke the quiet, meshing his fingers together.

“Unfortunately yes.” you said, smiling with a sickening sweetness over at your ex. “The love of a lifetime and then he decided to go get himself thrown in prison.” 

“Sounds romantic to me.” 

“Mhm, very.” 

“So what are you all doing here anyway? I doubt you’re just on holiday.” You said, sitting yourself down on the end of the couch. Helmut came to your side, placing a glass full of amber liquid in your open palm. 

“It’s a long story.” 

“This is a big glass.” you said, swishing said contents in front of Sam. “I’ve got time.”

Super soldiers were back. 

Helmut wasn’t happy about it. Neither were Sam, and Bucky was much the same even if he didn’t say it himself. No matter what they thought, or your past, you didn’t want to get involved. It seemed awfully messy for being something so apparently simple. 

It wasn’t simple. 

So when they came back after an outing to try and talk down Kari Morgenthau, and Helmut had a sore head, you weren’t entirely surprised. 

This time you handed him the glass of amber. 

“Thank you.” he said, taking it and the wet cloth from your hands. 

“You know, I’ve never met this new Captain America, but I can’t say I trust him.” 

“Why?” Sam said, turning in his seat to look at you as you sat at the desk behind the couch Helmut was reclining on. 

“You want the serum destroyed, right?” you said, “And Zemo was doing that. So why did this Walker guy throw his oversized metal frisbee at him?” you finished, pointing your pen over at Helmut. Both you and Sam watched him as he took a sip of his drink, then put it down again. 

“I don’t know why he did that.” Sam said, turning back to the computer again. 

“You do.” You said. “We all do.”

To Die For (Wanda Maximoff/ Reader)

Hello! It is with great joy and a little bit of sadness that I present you all with the final part of “Love Goes”. This part in particular is inspired by Sam Smith’s “To Die For”. Pieces from Endgame are used but very little. 

Summary: The aftermath of Endgame, how will Wanda navigate and what will happen to Y/n. 

“I long for you, just a touch of your hand. You don't leave my mind. Lonely days I'm feeling like a fool for dreaming… Sunshine living on a perfect day while my world's crashing down.”

Hope. That was all Wanda had left. She knew that she couldn’t let it waver for even a moment. Allowing the hope within her to waver would be the same as accepting defeat. Accepting that you weren’t coming back. That was something she would never allow herself to believe. 

Like you told her, you and her were a happy ending. It’s the only ending she could ever envision for herself. The only life she wanted. The only life she’d accept. You and her. Together. Happily.

It had only been a week since the fateful battle and you had been transferred to a S.W.O.R.D. facility since. What worried Wanda most was that you still hadn’t woken up and hadn’t shown much progression since arriving. 

She could still feel you though. 

Wanda would allow herself glimpses into your mind and could see the vibrancy that still existed within. Your heart was still beating, and your mind was still your own. Even if you weren’t awake, you were still you.

The thought brought comfort to Wanda despite the circumstances. It kept hope alive in her heart.

It was only a matter of time until you were awake and in her arms again. At least that’s what she kept telling herself. 

The situation could have been worse though and she knew that. Shortly after you were transferred to the facility she learned the full details of how exactly Thanos was defeated. How Tony and Natasha had given their lives in exchange for the outcome. As much as the news saddened her, she couldn’t help but feel a selfish sense of relief that you hadn’t been dealt the same fate. 

Her life – her heart - felt as though it was hanging in the balance. You were all she had. All she wanted. If she lost you she knew there would be no recovery for her. She’d drown. Sink to the bottom with no chance of resurfacing if you weren’t there to pull her back up. 

The warmth of your hand in her own anchored her. It always did, but not as much as being in your arms, or hearing your voice. “I’m drowning.” She whispered against your hand. “I’m drowning, Y/n. I need to hear your voice, see you open your eyes, and have you hold me and tell me everything is going to be okay. I’m drowning, and you can’t save me until you wake up.” Her lips trembled slightly against your hand as a single tear fell down her cheek.

The days and nights had blurred together for her. Both of which were spent unwaveringly at your side. The only disruptions often came in the form of varying people in the facility checking your vitals or injecting new medications into your IV that they informed her should wake you up soon. 

Besides the worry and fear she constantly felt, there was a sense of bitterness that the only one who had come to see you or her during your time in the facility was Fury. That was only when you were still at S.H.I.E.L.D’s location. It was upsetting to her that Steve had yet to visit you considering the history you two shared and how close you two had always been. Considering how you had been willing to risk your life for him on multiple occasions. 

Today was Tony’s funeral and she was reluctantly leaving your side to pay her respects for a short while. Also, to give Rogers a piece of her mind.

When the funeral concluded she wandered over to the lake to collect her thoughts and emotions. Taking in the beautiful day around her, a stark contrast to how she felt internally. The perfect day felt wrong when it still felt like her world was crashing down within her. 

As she was staring out the lake, preparing herself for what she wanted to tell Steve, Clint walked up to her. “Hey, kid.” 

Wanda kept a neutral face and merely nodded at him. “Hello.”

There was hesitation in the way Clint stopped at her side. “You have every right to not want to talk to me right now.” He began seriously, his head ducked shamefully. “I wanted to go visit Y/n… Check on you. I did. I just-… It’s been hard accepting that Nat’s gone, you know? It’s not an excuse for not being there. It’s just where my head was. I’m sorry, Wanda.” 

As much as Wanda wanted to ignore him, she knew she couldn’t. “I understand.” She replied softly, her gaze still on the lake before her. 

“I wish there was a way that I could let her know that we won. That we did it.” Clint admitted quietly to her.

Wanda shifted her gaze to him. “She knows.” There was a small pause. “They both do.” Despite not being awake, she liked to believe that you knew.

Clint wrapped a comforting arm around her and she leaned into the embrace. 

“Wanda.” A somber voice caught her attention as she turned to find Steve standing there with his hands folded behind his back. “A word?”

Clearly not wanting to be caught in the crossfire, Clint stepped back. “I think that’s my cue to go.” He pressed a kiss to the top of Wanda’s head. “I’ll do better, okay? Let me know if you need anything. I’ll be by to visit Y/n soon.” Wanda nodded slightly at his words as he walked away. 

When Clint was out of the vicinity, Steve stepped into his place. Wanda’s jaw clenched. She was more upset at him than anyone. She knew if roles were reversed you would have been uncompromisingly by his side.

“What do you want?” She asked, her tone cold.

Steve’s face remained neutral despite her tone. “How is she?”

A bitter laugh escaped her lips at his question. “How is she?” she shook her head in disbelief. “You have a lot of nerve asking that when you’ve had a whole week to go see for yourself.”

A heavy sigh escaped his lips. “Look, Wanda, I understand you’re upset with me but I-“

Wanda rounded on him, her eyes livid. “Upset? I am far passed upset, Rogers. I’m furious. Y/n needed you and you abandon her. She would have done anything for you! She idolized you!”

Each of Wanda’s words impacted Steve, she could see that, but she didn’t stop. He took it. “She thought you were her family and you couldn’t even be bothered to go see for yourself if she’s okay! You don’t even care-“

“Enough! That’s not true!” Steve roared. The accusation that he didn’t care seemingly being the final straw. Wanda recoiled in surprise. “I feel guilty, okay? I feel like the only reason that she’s in there in the first place is because of me. I couldn’t face her. I didn’t deserve to.” His volume didn’t lower as the emotions he was holding in finally boiled over. 

“You know she wouldn’t have blamed you.” Wanda eventually replied, her tone still clipped.

Steve rubbed a hand down his face. “I know, but I do. I blame myself. She was trying to protect me, and she only felt like she had to protect me because I couldn’t stop him the first time. She got hurt because I couldn’t get to her fast enough. She’s my family too.” 

As much as she wanted to be angry with him, she found it much more difficult when she learned of the guilt that seemed to be weighing heavily on him. “You know Y/n would have done that either way.” She confessed quietly. “She would have tried to stop him regardless of who she was defending. That’s who she is.”

A weak nod was his only response. Wanda wasn’t sure if he believed her. “How has she been?” Steve repeated, hoping for a genuine answer this time.

“She still hasn’t woken up.” Wanda began unsteadily. “They keep injecting her with new serums everyday saying that each one will wake her up, but it never does.”

Steve closed his eyes at the information, his expression distressed for just a moment until he schooled his features and put on a brave face for Wanda. “She’s going to wake up. I know she will.” 

Hearing the words she had been telling herself from someone else brought Wanda a small sense of comfort. “I know she will too.” She turned to him. “I’m going to get back to her now, she needs me. Go see her.” 

“I will.” He nodded firmly, his words definitive. “I have to return the stones in an hour and try and see if I can undo something. As soon as I do that I’ll be immovably by her side. I’ll stay with you until she wakes up. You have my word. She has my word.” There was purpose in his voice. 

Wanda quirked her lips up slightly at him and nodded without a word. She knew he meant what he said. She walked off to her car to begin the drive back to S.W.O.R.D’s medical branch of the facility. ___________________ Her heart dropped when she entered your room, only to be met with an empty bed. On numb legs, she ran out and stopped the first worker she saw. “Y/n Y/ln. Where is she? She was here just an hour ago.” 

The employee looked around nervously. “She’s been moved. I believe it would be in your best interest to speak to the director.”

Wanda’s brow furrowed in confusion. “The director? Why?”

“His office is located on the second floor, third door on the left.” The employee informed her meekly before scurrying away. 

Practically running, Wanda reached the office in minutes, throwing the door open. “Ms. Maximoff.” The man who she presumed to be the director greeted her, an unnerving smile on his face.

“Where is she?” Wanda demanded, not caring about anything other than being reunited with you. “Is-is she okay?” Anxiety began to build within her and press against her chest making it harder for her to breath. Her nails dug into her palms.

The man gestured for her to sit in an empty chair, she ignored the request. “My name is Tyler Hayward. I am the director of S.W.O.R.D.”

Wanda merely stared blankly back at him, her jaw clenched tightly. “Where. Is. Y/n?” She enunciated sharply, her patience fading. 

The unnerving smile never faltered on Hayward’s face. “That is the unfortunate part, Ms. Maximoff. You see, while you were gone Ms. Y/ln suffered from some brain hemorrhaging. We were able to stop it, but it seems her brain has suffered an extensive amount of damage. We ran some tests and it appears she has lost all cognitive function. She is just a shell now. She only has another day or two at best. I’m sorry.”

Wanda’s world stopped at his words. She immediately shook her head. “That’s not true.” She said shakily as tears began streaming down her cheeks, the weight on her chest getting heavier, forcing her under. She couldn’t breathe. “That’s not true. Let me see her.” 

Hayward gestured forward to the large window in his office. “They’re running some tests on her now, but so far the data has remained conclusive. There is no longer brain function.” Numbly Wanda walked up to the large window and glanced down, feeling the life drain from her at the sight of you. Pale and on what looked like an experimentation table, surrounded by several S.W.O.R.D. scientists.  “I’m afraid it’s time to start talking about letting her go.”

Wanda spun around to face him angrily. “Let her go?” she cried, her voice cracking. “She’s all I have.”

Hayward held his hands up slightly. “It’s only a matter of days before she’s unable to breathe on her own and her heart stops being.”

Empty. That’s what she felt at his words. She wanted to scream. Her powers reacted to the emotion she was feeling before her mind did as the glass she was leaning on shattered. Without hesitation she floated down to where you were. Her heart hammering in her chest the closer she got. 

The world around her went dark and the only sight she was able to take in was the way your chest weakly rose and fell with each breath. With shaking hands, she raised them to your temple as feeble wisps of red floated from her fingertips and disappeared into your mind. 

All she saw was darkness. 

“I can’t feel you.” She whispered brokenly, the pain in her chest overcoming her. The sensation composing her entire being as everything within her collapsed. She was alone, and she knew she wouldn’t recover. Then everything went dark around her. ________________________________

“Darling, have you seen my notebook? I’m running late for my meeting with my editor and I can’t seem to find it anywhere.” You questioned hastily as you rushed into the kitchen and skidded to a halt in the entry way. Looking around the area with a frazzled expression on your face.

Wanda looked over from her place by the stove and waved her hand, the notebook floating from under your arm to directly in front of your face. “You mean this one, dear?” She asked with an amused smile. 

Sheepishly you plucked the notebook out of the air as you made your way over to her. “What would I do without you?” You leaned forward so your lips rested gently against her own.

“Mmm,” Wanda mumbled with a smile as she spoke against your lips. Her arms resting comfortably over your shoulders. “I believe your mind would fail you, sweetheart.”

Your hands fell to her waist as you pulled her closer. “That’s for certain.” You replied easily with a loving smile. “Have I told you how beautiful you look today?”

A small blush spread over her cheeks. “You have not but thank you. You look beautiful as well, darling. I’m beginning to get jealous that your editor gets to spend the day in your presence. Speaking of…” she trailed off and glanced pointedly at the clock.

“My meeting!” Your eyes widened as you pressed one last loving kiss to her lips. “I’ll be going now. I love you, darling. I’ll be home soon!” You shouted as you began running out. 

Wanda shook her head at you, the smile on her face never faltering. “I love you, too, dear!” She called after you, pretending to catch the kiss you blew to her as you rushed out the door. She sighed happily and leaned against the wall of the kitchen. 

The end.

“Glad you were able to make it, Rogers.” Fury said seriously as he shook Steve’s hand. “And Ms. Romanoff. Welcome back.” He shook her hand as well. 

Steve nodded easily in response. “Of course. You know that I’d be here in a heartbeat for Y/n. Wanda as well.” Both followed Fury into a large make-shift tent located in the woods. 

“What exactly are we dealing with?” Natasha asked, confusion lacing her words.

For a moment Fury seemed to ponder her question. “We’re not entirely sure.”

“Does Wanda even know that she saved Y/n? That she was never gone?” Steve questioned seriously, his arms crossed as he stared at the screen before him. 

Fury shook his head. “No. It seems Hayward convinced Wanda that Y/n was gone, no brain function. What Wanda didn’t know was he had gone rogue. Every serum they injected in Y/n kept her in her comatose state rather than attempt to wake her up like they were telling Wanda. I’ve looked at the files that my inside contacts gave me, and it seems Y/n should have been up in the first day or two to recover from minor brain swelling.”

“Why are they doing this though?” Natasha questioned as she looked over the chart. Steve’s jaw was clenched as he listened to each detail.

Taking the chart from Natasha, Fury turned the pages until he found what he was looking for and handed it back to Natasha. “Right there. It seems that Y/n carries a rare mutant gene that they could extract and essentially build an army with. They believed that if they removed Wanda from the picture they could continue the experiments and eventually wipe Y/n’s memory to use her as a weapon. Turn her into a super solider… but much worse because of her powers.” There was an edge to his tone. “They are very interested in her ability to manipulate earth and metal. They had considered Wanda briefly as well, but the perfect opportunity presented itself with Y/n. That’s why they insisted on her transfer to their facility.” 

“How do we get them back before Hayward gets to them?” Steve questioned quietly, a dangerous tone to his voice.

Instead of answering Fury gestured to the woman who had been sitting and listening to the conversation. “Wanda isn’t letting anyone with ties to your past in. Fury already tried. She won’t let you or Natasha in.” They both stared at her. “I didn’t introduce myself. Sorry, my name is Darcy Lewis. Astrophysics. Big fan.” The bespectacled woman rambled. 

Natasha smirked, an amused glint in her eye. “Okay, Darcy Lewis, what’s our next step?”

“We’ll do whatever it takes.” Steve finished powerfully as they all watched you and Wanda share a sweet kiss before the credits began to roll on the screen before them.

Well, that’s all folks! 13 parts completed! It’s been a journey writing this and it is by far the longest thing I’ve ever written. This story has become my baby and it always brings me so much joy to read your comments and seeing others enjoy it. I had a plan for this chapter since the moment I began writing this story but it was so hard when it came down to writing because of the most recent episode of Wandavision, so I tweaked it a little. Was it a sadder or happier ending? You may never know. Thank you all so much for taking this journey with me. I hope you enjoyed.

here's a question about your Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde interpretation! will you be accurately portraying the relationship between Jekyll and Hyde? (AKA Hyde is, and always has been, a part of Jekyll, and not Jekyll's "evil alter ego" like we normally see in interpretations)

Yes! I’d say that’s one of the main driving points of my adaptation lol. And also one of the plot twists, of sorts, since plenty of characters (Henry included) would rather keep on believing Jekyll and Hyde are not one in the same. Even if they’ve seen him do that.

You know, the thing. But yes. Our dead beloved and totally normal Dr. Jekyll uses the asshole Mr. Hyde persona to indulge in sex, drugs, and violence, and just be an absolute raging DOUCHEBAG. Hyde, as is, doesn’t exist, not more than a fictional character you LARP as.

One that makes you have mischief on the mind and a terrible temper whenever you slip into character, but still.

As the “experiment” goes on, however, Henry’s only now-resurfacing repressed aggression + the disorienting effects of the serum + a safe secret identity that nobody can recognize him as… well. Even they are surprised of how cruel he can be under the influence of the potion- which does indeed make him angrier and way more vicious than he usually is, but not more than Henry could ever be.

By the time Jekyll realizes Hyde, or rather the choices surrounding it, has turned them into a monster, well, he no longer wants to be associated with that name, but unfortunately his endocrine system ends up making sure he transforms at sunset, and back again at sunrise.

So… At the end of the day, Henry doesn’t want to admit he’s responsible for what they do as Edward, but deep down he knows they have no excuses. No matter how much they resort to the third person, or how much he distances himself from that part of him… it’s still there, and it’s just as alive as he is, and it doesn’t want to be ignored. He hates the fact that a natural part of his personality has ended up warping him so much. Of course, on the other side of the issue, whenever he transforms, he’s aggravated that his “true” form, if it can be called that, has been turned into a weak husk of itself, one they can only use as a hiding place, pun intended.

Now in less serious terms, their “relationship”, if it can be called one, is literally this ancient meme:

Just lots of regrets, mixed feelings, a VERY twisted form of self hatred, and “uuuuugh, whyyy did I do that…”s.

And “fuck YOU sober me, I do what I want!”s. Because sometimes the persona you methodically created to cover up for your horrible and unhealthy coping mechanisms doesn’t really agree with the persona you methodically created to interact with people in public.

So there’s that.

because nobody wants to hear about me rambling on and on about Jekyll & Hyde: The Gothic Musical Thriller i’m doing it here. this is a really long post and I’m not even done I just got tired and need to go do my medications lol.

Starting off, quick explanation of the plot and important characters for those who don’t know

The plot itself is this: a man named Henry Jekyll had the bright idea to create some potion or something that will separate the Good part of a human, and the Bad part. With enough work, the plan was to separate them and gain control over the Bad part, and thereby destroying it.

This fucks up though, of course, and Henry creates his alter ego: Edward Hyde. Edward is creepy and cruel and easily pissed off, he kills like... seven people? Despite the fact his alter ego is quite literally evil personified and murdering people (Henry KNOWS this might I add, they share memories, it’s basically just if you injected someone with a serum that reeeally pissed them off and deleted their morals), Henry doesn’t stop there.

He continues to make more of the potion, modifying it in the hopes of controlling Edward while admitting that he finds it exhilarating to be Edward and that he doesn’t want to stop. I do believe he only stops after he realizes he can’t fix Edward or delete him.

In the end, Edward kills a bunch of people, scares the shit out of London and then ON HENRY’S WEDDING DAY, IN FRONT OF HIS WIFE, suddenly comes out (putting Henry in a lot of pain and generally making a big scene), kills someone (i think?? or someone shoots him in a non-lethal place, I don’t know), and then holds Lisa (henry’s wife) at gun point. A man named John (i think) tries to talk him down, and only when Lisa pleads for Henry to come back to her does Henry finally resurface, give John his gun (?) and convince the man to kill him. He does, Henry dies to three bullet wounds.

Overall, it’s a neat story! 

There’s a woman named Lucy, who’s my favorite because she’s delightful. She’s essentially a prostitute (her wiki page thing says she “Works as a whore for money” or something along those lines) who works at a bar. She has a song where she meets Henry titled ‘Lucy Meets Jekyll,’ where Henry is (i think) drinking at the bar because in the pervious song the Board of Governors denied providing supplies and test subjects for his research. This takes place before Henry actually creates Edward.

Later, Lucy meets Edward in the song titled ‘Lucy Meets Hyde’. She starts the song off with “I know you, don’t I?” and Edward vaguely replies by telling her “After tonight you will never forget me.” Edward also has a line where he sings “A toast to the night. A toast to... Romance! To those unafraid of taking... a chance,” which is him repeating what Lucy says in Lucy Meets Jekyll (which I think is super neat). When she asks his name (after he goes on this rant about how he’s her guardian angel, her guide to salvation, whatever) he goes “...Hyde... Edward. ...Hyde,” and both Hyde’s are said in this really creepy, whispery kinda voice but he says Edward so much clearer and I think that’s funny. 

Also if I could just choose my name as fast as he did that’d be great because his name crisis lasted like two seconds and mine has lasted 4 years uwu

Anyawys, Lucy has this other song about nobody knowing who she is (her voice is pretty and I love listening to it but the song kinda makes me zone out so Im missing some context lol) and then the song ends with Edward showing up going, “...I know who you are,” and she replies “Oh, for a moment I thought you were someone else,” and Edward pauses then goes, “...For a moment, it almost was,” and that makes me UNREASONABLY happy. Like I don’t have a reason I just get very pleased when I hear those lines.

Also anybody and everybody tells Lisa not to go through with her marriage to Henry, mostly because she’s like apparently the prettiest woman in town and every man wants to marry her but also because Henry is a doctor, which is apparently a bad thing or something?? ( "Lisa's marrying a Doctor, instead of an earl! Poor girl!” ) and when I was listening to the playlist in full trying to pay attention I kept being like “LISTEN TO THEM- PLEASE, YOU’RE GONNA GET TRAUMATIZED ON YOUR WEDDING DAY!” so that’s fun

Also I don’t think I said this: I didn’t watch the musical. I found it on spotify and didn’t have the braincells to actually watch it, so I’m missing the context from in between songs, but i’ve got most of the plot as far as I know.

oh- the song “His Work and Nothing More,” makes me very depressed because it’s a song about some people (i forget who exactly) singing about how Henry is obsessed with his work and he doesn’t hang out with people anymore.

the song “The Engagement Party” has a line where John finally sees Henry show up (because he was late) and goes “Henry, at last! What could possibly be more important than your own engagement party?” and he sounds so normal and then the musical gets all dramatic and Henry sings about being close to a breakthrough. I don’t know why this line pleases me so much but it does :>

Oh and Confrontation? a masterpiece. Anybody who’s done it and done it well is amazing that’s ONE PERSON singing TWO PEOPLE in a fast paced song like that. Not only do they have to sing it all in one take but they also have to switch the physical look and position between the characters and it’s amazing. 

and if you didn’t know, that tiktok audio “I live inside you forever! With Satan himself by my side!” is from this song, and my friend (who doesn’t give a SHIT about Jekyll & Hyde and always cuts me off before I start rambling for hours because xis attention span is buckets) thinks it’s amazing and belts it out with me. It’s the only song from the entire musical xe will listen to.
