"the problem is men, not trans women!"
ok but what is a man? what is it about this group of people that makes them a problem? is it the identity of 'man' that's the problem? and if all men stopped identifying as men would the problem go away?

So uh... remember that Lancer crossover I was working on for Spookami? And how I put this tag on the original post?
Well that's actually happening for real now, because our GM is not only running a oneshot separate from our main campaign this weekend, but also very encouraging of letting us pull expy nonsense. Joke's on him if he think I'm not committing to the bit, though, so have the portrait I drew for the "Pilot" section of my character sheet.
Most refer to Waka in this AU by his callsign "Onmyōji". Those that don't usually just call him a pain in the ass.

Larry is great, he's straight, he's bi/pan, he's gay, he's married with a kid(s), he's divorced with a kid(s), he's just divorced with no kids at all, he's aroace, he's in an old man yaoi trouple, he genuinely just never thought about being in a romantic relationship once in his life.
I <3 him.

Okay but real talk though
Like on one hand, Yu shapeshifting into a half-elf in order to appeal to Orym is pretty dang mindfucky and holy shit Erika that was a masterful play, massive props to you
But on the other hand.
How in the hell did Yu know about Will?
Like as far as I remember Orym didn’t say anything about Will around them. And given how they shapeshifted into Imogen to manipulate Laudna, them shapeshifting VERY SPECIFICALLY INTO A HALF-ELF FOR THE SOLE PURPOSE OF MANIPULATING ORYM was definitely on purpose.
So they definitely knew about Will, but how? Orym never said anything about him to them.
The only real way Yu would’ve known about Will was if they were in Zephrah before/during the attack.
Or better/worse yet.
YU WAS THE FUCKING ASSASSIN THAT KILLED WILL IN THE FIRST PLACE.
Either way.
*flips table* AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

honestly one of the most annoying things with the whole "media literacy discourse" (if you want to coin a name for it) is how the discussion is reduced to the characters and the viewers as if the characters were sentient in some fucking way which is the most media illiterate thing ever because sometimes you just gotta acknowledge the writer is shit. We act like authors have no involvement in their creations for some reason like sure depiction isnt glorification but you NEED to be able to realize when an author is just pushing their beliefs thru a character or not treating said thing with the respect it deserves. Art is intentionally or not a mirror to the author and we need to be critical of that too. Hell, even if its not meant to be glorifying or whatever the author's ability to get the point across should be taken into account too. And this doesnt just expand to fiction even in posts where people complain about pissing on the poor, have you stopped to think "hey, maybe i am simply not expressing myself correctly"? Like the speaker is as responsible as the listener in every situation, this is a two way road.
