Rewatching Hazbin Hotel and in the first episode when Alastor makes the commercial and says, "Come place your fate in her inexperienced hands as she tries to work through her daddy issues by fixing you!"
Like, jeez, my entire personality didn't need to be called out by a show about singing demons

I have no idea where I am going with this, and this is not going to be a long post, but the thought just kinda came into my head last night and I need to write it somewhere.
There is a really weird...I don't know if dissonance is the right word, but a really weird something going on with who is given the time to have redeeming traits and who is not, especially in TCW. Like I know that Anakin is the main character of the prequel era, and I know that it is more than natural to focus on him, but the show just lacks in how it cares about anyone else, and who is allowed to have more of them shown and who the audience is allowed to have the time to care about. Like, Anakin is, of course, given the time to have his good and bad traits shown, he is allowed to be redeemed by this framing of the story, and people will write whole essays in his defense.
Then let's take someone like Fox (and this is not about fanon or his portrayal in the fanon, this is solely about what is shown on screen), who is given very little screen time, which is natural. He is one of the many, many very minor characters of the show. He gets a lot more than the majority of the clones, he gets to be named on screen and have some semblance of a personality. And we are shown him doing...nothing really bad? 90 percent of the time the things he does on screen are aggressively neutral in the context. Shooting Fives? That can be argued to be a bad thing, but we don't know if he did it because he was ordered to, because he was manipulated or controlled, or because he's just a trigger happy bastard. We don't know.
But still, the overwhelming majority of the fans absolutely detest him like he personally murdered their entire family, kicked their puppy and ate their goldfish raw in front of them. And this is because we are not given even one scene that shows anything else about him, be it good or bad, and the absence of the former is what makes all of his arguably neutral actions look bad. Because if there is nothing good, then it means that everything is bad. Fox isn't the one who turned fascist, but fans of the show still celebrate his murder by the one who did turn fascist.
Then we can take someone like Dogma, who does...you know, things that are again neutral in context. I'm not saying that he is necessarily right, or that others in the Umbara arc are wrong for their actions, but Dogma is someone who was raised in an extremely isolated environment where they were told that they need to obey and are only meant to be soldiers. But the other clones did differently so why didn't Dogma- because they are individuals. The whole show is about them being individuals. People respond to their surroundings and trauma very differently. Dogma got where the others were a little bit later. He, at least, got given the time to do the good thing in the eyes of the audience- and there he goes. Removed from the narrative, never to be mentioned again. Now back to the future fascist who puts his droid above the lives of his men being shown to be also good for seven seasons!
I don't know. Something about this just kinda rubs me the wrong way. I don't know what it is.
Why is Anakin suddenly likeable too cool for school instead of being a a wet scrunkly with anger issues OH because he can't be shown to have the profile of a serial killer because that would make him look bad ohhhhhhhh-

Reblog the fundraisers you mfs!!!!! I don't know why you all skip those to reblog some pic of a banner saying "FREE PALESTINE" or of news from Columbia University! Literally these people from Gaza have made an account on Tumblr and is writing in english to communicate what they need and you all are coming onto my blog or on the tag and not reblogging their posts. We have people both Palestinian and non Palestinian vetting the fundraisers! I mean more the reblogs, more the chance of the fundraisers gaining momemtum, the more there would be a chance of a donation. Please donate if you can and reblog!!! and follow them if it is possible.
@/mohammedayesh has posted about getting leaflets, telling them to evacuate Rafah. They are very low on funds. Go follow them and reblog their posts and donate if possible.
We have @/haneenatya too whose mother is suffering from eye stroke and need to evacuate. Please I have been following them for some days and it doesn't seem their own posts are getting much attention.
Follow them! They are on tumblr. Reblog their posts and donate. The protests in universities are being done on account of them. They should be our focus.
(EDIT: on re-reading my post it seems as if I am dismissing all that the students of universities are doing. I am not. I just meant, since all of it is to help Palestinians, we must not ignore them when they ask for help).

Imagine Nanami Kento waking up from anesthesia after surgery, his bleary and unfocused gaze landing on you (his wife) standing beside him and holding his hand in yours. You smile at him warmly, softly reassuring him that he's okay and that you're right here beside him as he stares at you silently.
Nanami looks down at your joined hands, his gaze seems to focus on the wedding band adorning his ring finger. He stares at it for a moment before looking back up at you.
"Who are you?" He slurs, his words sloshy and imprecise. So unlike him, and so very adorable. "Are you a nurse?"
You giggle at Nanami's question.
"No, I'm not a nurse."
Nanami seems puzzled at your response. His brows furrow as his fingers move against yours, thumb stroking across your knuckles in that gentle motion he always does to soothe you. Your smile widens. Looks like there are some things that even ketamine can't erase.
"Wow. You got the most gorgeous smile. Are you a model? You're the most beautiful woman I've ever seen in my whole life. You got really pretty teeth too..."
Kento's fingers tighten around yours, his voice falling into a groggy whisper.
"But...I think I'm married. We shouldn't be holding hands like this."
You bite your lip, fighting against the bubbling laughter in your throat and failing.
"O-Oh?"
Nanami nods, his expression shifting from one of appreciative awe to adorable seriousness.
"I want to be a good husband."
Well that just about melted your whole damn heart. Even the hospital staff in the background can't repress their "awww"s and "that's a keeper"s.
"Don't worry, you are a wonderful husband, Kento. I know that for sure."
He's confused again, those unfocused honey brown's searching yours, trying to figure out the situation as best as he can given the circumstances.
"How do you know?"
You raise your left hand, bringing it into his line of sight and wiggle your ring finger, the golden band surrounding it captures Nanami's attention in an instant.
"Because I'm your wife."
Nanami's eyes instantly grow wide, his expression morphing into one of childlike wonder.
"You're my wife?"
You laugh.
"Yes."
He squeezes your hand with a surprising amount of strength given that he was knocked out cold not that long ago.
"We're really married?"
"Yes."
"Wow..." Kento breathes, drifting off for a moment before asking you another question. "Have we kissed yet?"
His innocent yet hilarious question sends you into another fit of laugher.
"Y-yes! Many times."
Nanami rewards you with a dopey smile, his gaze so utterly loving, enchanted by your unrestrained joy.
"My wife." He murmurs adoringly, his fingers reaching up to caress your cheek.
"I love hearing you laugh." His palm cups your face. "You really are so beautiful. I hit the jackpot, didn't I?"
Grinning from ear to ear, you press a tender kiss to Kento's fingertips before guiding his hand back down to the bed.
"Alright sweetest man alive, you need to stop talking before you make every person in this room fall in love with you. I'm going to grab a snack for us for later. I'll be right back, okay?"
Kento nods.
"Okay. Can I get another kiss when you come back?"
