caught up on the new Ranma 1/2 which I wasn't going to watch but caved to the nostalgia and god. I missed my ridiculous kids. so happy to see that they've kept true to the characters and that Akane is the most badass teenager to ever live and Ranma is a little bitch

But I ultimately might would go for the house #JUST becuase it would be my Dream House which means it would already meet mostly all of my specifications #and what I might be looking for. which would save a lot of time searching or customizing/rennovating.#Also because I could use that as a way to leave the US lol.. like .. if I get to choose my dream location.. couldnt I just choose some othe #country?? But I wonder how that works. Can you legally 100% have full ownership of a property in a country yet not be a citizen of that #country?? Would you show up and be like 'erm.. i own this house.. so i shall now live in it' and theyd be like 'uh no. you cant live here #despite owning the house. leave.' ??#So I think the initial process of 1. scraping together funds to actually MOVE myself and my most valuable belongings physically #TO another country. and 2. figuring out how to STAY in that country . might end up being difficult.. BUT. if I could just work that #part of things out then.. dream house?? security for once in my life?? stability?? :0 #Though the $1mil is enticing it's also like.. I feel .. with the way housing prices are now... that's not much???#it's a lot I guess if you plan on like.. investing half the money and staying in an apartment for 5 years while you grow your wealth #or something. but if you're a 'I Need Stability NOW' ready to settle down person who would be most interested in owning a property rather #than nice clothes or a car or whatever other investments you could make then.. eh..?? It seems like unless you're okay with living in #a small town or kind of far away from the city - even some SMALL houses in majorly populated areas in the US will be like #$600.000 - $900.000 or something. like that would be MOST of my money. Which I know you could just pay partially and make #payments on it but idk.. in the option of just outright owning the house it seems like it'd end up being cheaper.#Plus I would want to own it fully asap because I'd be afraid of losing it somehow otherwise. like it being taken for medical bills or #something. which I thought was supposed to be - not IMPOSSIBLE - slightly more complicated legally if you actually have #paid off the house in full. I guess the issue then would be utilities and property tax and such. But I feel like thats overcome-able??#Like I could just stipulate that my Dream House has a little furnished addition or something and then find someone #with money and be like 'Look you can live in this extremely nice area with amazing ameneties and updated everything and ALL you have #to do is give me money to cover the utilities and property tax.'' or something like that. Like the little furnished addition is nicer #than the actual house. they have their own pool and spa and movie room or something and Ill also cook all their meals for them #or whatever (how luxurious it would be depeneds on how high the property tax actually is/how much I would need to entice them into #why it's a good deal for them to pay it for me lol). idk... something like that.. ANYWAY #I asked a few people I know though and one of them answered they'd rather have a romantic partner. the other one said they'd like #to be able to choose someone to die lol.. i really do think there’s a huge disconnect on here w/ people who have never used tiktok as to what it actually is and who actually uses it. the number of people i’ve seen call it a “teen dancing app” is actually insane. it has not been a teen dancing app since i was in high school, around 2016 - 2020. the main communities i saw on a daily basis were 1) black history/anti-racism educators, 2) high school & college teachers sharing in-classroom strategies and frustrations with the education system, 3) local/state political leaders giving real-time updates on behind-the-scenes government decisions, & 4) community activism & leadership. like tiktok is an adult platform. almost every person i interacted with was my age or older. and yes it completely depends on your fyp and how you interact with the app, yes there’s still teenagers and dance videos and literally anything else you can think of. but these communities of adults aren’t insubstantial at all, they have literally millions of interactions on a daily basis. there’s about a million other types of communities that i could name just off the top of my head, because the range of users was SO diverse and thriving. it’s a long-distance community tool, just like any other social media—and honestly much better than any other social media, because it relies primarily on the kindness of strangers. i saw at least 5-10 videos today of queer people in rural areas panicking because they don’t have any access to queer community on any other platform or in real life. and before i end this i do want to say i think tiktok is coming back, i think this is a highly orchestrated political move, etc., but i do know it won’t ever be exactly the same. people are panicking about free speech violations because tiktok was a place where people fucking SPEAK. i have never seen mass mobilization and communication in this same way for as long as i’ve been alive. it is the people’s app, not just a silly teenage thing. if you’re not on tiktok and never have been, please stop talking about it like you know anything at all😭

Part 16!!!

To everyone that guessed Leo was gonna feel guilty about smthn that hasn't even happened yet, here's a heart <3 good job! He is predictable this time around :)

Yeah I do think Leo would feel guilty both about it happening in the past and the idea that Raph WOULD DO IT AGAIN IF HE THOUGHT IT WOULD WORK!!

Side note I am gona try and start adding prev links, but only to upcoming updates cause the amount of time it would take to go back and do it to the entirety of Kid Leo is just wayyy too much and I have a day job :) But I will try them from now on, since they've been requested! If I end up thinking it's too much trouble in the future I may stop, but we'll just see how it affects the posting process.

Cowl for my friend :> This is my favorite color palette I've worked with so far

Finished: 1/14/25

Warp: Araucania Huasco Aran Kettle Dyes- Blacksmith 75% superwash merino 25% nylon, Yarn Dragon American DK- Harvest Pilaf 100% superwash merino

Weft: Araucania- Blacksmith, Malabrigo Rios- Siri 100% superwash merino

Dent: 8

Structure: plain weave

Notes: I used the weft blown hero cowl pattern for this one. I let my friend pick out the yarn he wanted paired with the indigo from some potential options i picked up. The light blue with orange specks wasn't originally intended for this project but I wasn't going to have enough of the dark indigo to finish it so I did alternating blocks of random sizes but I ended up loving how the orange flecks interacted with the rust. I bought the variegated rust color from Yarn Dragon while I was in Seattle and I definitely want to pick up more, there was a really nice selection of hand dyed yarns. This was also my first time working with superwash and it was interesting not getting the shrinkage/tightening I'm used to when wet setting but I was able to get the weave to tighten by doing a short cycle in the dryer on the delicate setting.

Quick edit: Caught an anatomy mistake on the leg that has been fixed. I can't believe I somehow missed this until after I posted it, going to leave the step by step shots with the mistake because I don't want to retake all of those pictures.

Finally finished my Rella's study of her Hatsune Miku on the beach! I wanted to learn how she handled lighting and I learned quite a bit working on this piece. Started this piece around 1 am one night just trying to figure out the method to her lighting and the following day I sat down and actually fixed the anatomy and cleaned everything up.

I sadly can't link Rella's twitter sadly as I don't have an account and it is just not letting me open it. >:/
