But Kinn lets himself be pulled into the warm, crowded bar full of the human scent of veiled desperation and longing, written on the hypnotic music that beats like a heart beneath it all. Oh, death-defying happiness, Porsche thinks, gently pulling Kinn closer to him in the middle of the dancefloor, winding his arms around his neck and putting his head against it. And driven by the old urge for destruction, he presses his lips to the vein pulsing blood beneath Kinn’s warm, damp skin, reminding him of hot Bangkok summers and sheets sticking to their backs. And then, taken swiftly by a ravenous, hopeless desire, they sway softly against the beating currents of time, taking solace in each other’s arms, knowing that if all was proven wrong in the world tomorrow, they would at least have this to call truth.

Day Dress

This type of widely protruding skirt that appeared around the middle of the 19th century came to be known later under the name of the "crinoline style." As can be seen with this dress, large design motifs proved immensely effective on these voluminous skirts. The border pattern here is wood-block printed and repeats every 20.6 cm. Compared to small-scale designs, large patterns require a solid technique to avoid misalignment of the print colors. Considering that this mixed fabric of silk and wool is a material hard to print on, this dress with its bright and cheerful colors is a particularly fine example on how much cloth printing techniques had evolved.
