Figured I'd elaborate on witches
So there are natural witches, ones born into the witch species and have witch blood. And trained witches, which are witches who do not have witch blood and are training to hone their magical abilities
also, side note. Being able to make potions doesn't make you a witch. Anyone can make potions as long as they have the stuff. However witches can use their magic to make the potion more powerful; which is why a lot of witches are in the medical field, or energy/tech field(I've talked about the crystals before)
Natural witches- a lot more in tune with their magic, and their magic has a lot more variation and is more powerful and they can control it easier. Must have witch blood.
Trained witches-they need to train and unlock their magical abilities, this requires a lot of schooling/training. And they well never fully unlock the full variation that natural witches do, considering they need to take in their genes and species into consideration. Whoch is why they typically are out into groups of magic. Cannot have witch blood
They are treated mostly the same by outsiders/none-witches. Inside though there is a obvious biased for natural witches, I'll explain this later in a future chapter but essentially if a natural witch did a crime they would be given leniency no matter what that crime was, meanwhiel trained witches would be given the appropriate punishment. Sometimes even more then what is called for.
People who have witches blood bit also none witches blood are treated like natural witches, since they have witch blood. But are also given a harder time or more work.
Anyone can be a witch as long as they have magic, so like a human couldn't be because they have no natural magical abilities. They can make potions and cats spells that don't require magic but magic items but can't do actual magic.
Alsi, not every hybrid can be a witch, but a witch can be a hybrid. A lizard doesn't have any natural magic, so a lizard hybrid couldn't be a witch. Nit an ekytrin does have natural magic so they could be a witch.
Really as long as you have magic and go to school to train that magic you can be a witch.
Funfact: Cat hybrids are a 50/50 chance, as they DO have life/healing magic but it's not strong enough to use on other people entirely. They can make a relationship good healing potion but can't directly use healing magic on a person, other than themselves.
I'll have to talk about the groups/category the trained witches are put into later as this is getting rather long. Feel free to ask me any questions!!

Idk who needs to hear this but telling people they'll curse themselves for hexing or creating karmic spells toward their abuser is not helpful at all.
Not everybody works on toxic positivity.
Not everybody's "forgive and forget" is actually authentic and true to their spirit, energy, and intent. That includes any of you and your friends who may use it to seem more woke than the others, aka only using it to be competitive.
And if you can't really feel it, it doesn't really matter what performative bs you try to portray.
Not to mention:
Most people use the concept as a fear tactic for some type of gain, on top of being competitive which is as unkind, judgmental, and morally wrong as you claim "karma spells" to be.
There are many old cultures and traditions that practice forms of hexes and karma such as hoodoo/voodoo, your 5 minutes of googling the popular witch concept, most of the time filled with stolen christian based fear propaganda (and the appropriation of closed cultures) does not override what has worked for these cultures for centuries.
So in conclusion.
People will not just start dropping dead or suffering even worse by hexing their abusers. It does not make them "as bad as their abuser" (another fear tactic that most people use), it will not make them overly bitter, it will not make them automatically "obsessed with revenge". It will not keep them stuck and unable to heal.
And it does not make them encourage anybody to curse just anybody over silly minor things, if you're afraid people will start just hexing for no reason, it's probably because you personally need that reign to hold you back from taking advantage of the power and you think others do too. Don't project onto others.
Bad people will always use anything they can find to destroy people they hate. This is one form of fighting back.
Sometimes it's to heal, sometimes it's just to get justice. At all times it's none of your business. Have fun using spirituality to pass about as much judgment as a "regular, normie" religious person though.

Hi, can anyone who has spoken to the fae/sídhe/etc. Please let me in on any mundane conversations you've had with them? I'm writing a story and I want to get down how they speak as realistically as possible.

Just a quick not friendly reminder: someone who has apologized for past mistakes, made amends for past actions, and clearly no longer holds past beliefs, is a far better person than one who digs up old dirt and uses a person's past that no longer exists against them.
