You sat there disappointed in your dry phone. It was like looking at a blank screen. The night was cold, dark, and quiet. Everything was different now that you cut off your toxic-ass best friend. Deleting all the pictures and videos of you two. All the happiness and laughter y’all had shared just for it to be ruined in a few hours. The incident only happened a few days ago.

You decide to scroll through your alt account’s Instagram feed hoping to see something interesting. Something interesting indeed popped up. A little green circle around your ex-best friend’s profile picture. “Curiosity killed the cat ya’know?”, It surely killed you as soon as you clicked it. She was with your Ex. Your face scrunched in disbelief. You couldn’t help but muster up a pitiful laugh. What was going through her goddamn mind? Did she know the alt belong to you? Was the random pinterest boy profile picture not convincing enough? You nearly tossed your phone to the ground you felt tears bubbling up in your eyes. You remember the whole thing like it was yesterday. The horrible things you said to each other. But one thing she said in particular stuck in your head. “You aren’t even together anymore! Why the fuck do you care Y/n?”, Those were the last words she said to you, the last words you needed to hear to leave her alone. It hurt you so much, the girl you known from middle school betrayed you.

It was late maybe around 11 pm. Your mind was filled with anger. You couldn’t stop thinking about it. You told her everything and she did the same. You two grew up together. When you introduced your boyfriend and best friend they hit it off. They were so cool with each other that it seemed like a dream come true. Having your best friend actually like your boyfriend was extremely rare to come by. Your dream came short-lived after you found them fucking in a bathroom at a party. It hurt so fucking bad. You clenched your shirt trying not to cry. That night broke you, you lost everything in 4 hours. All it took was a couple of shots and one blunt to have your whole world crash. In a fit of rage, you decided to go through her entire Instagram feed. Scrolling through every single post. In a recent post from earlier today, you saw a dump of her stepbrother. All of the pictures were silly, cute pictures of him. You couldn’t lie, he was fine as fuck. You saw her stepbrother a couple of times when y'all were younger, but god did puberty hit him good. He was tall and muscular with a sharp jawline. He has white hair and beautiful ocean-colored eyes. He had a couple of arm tattoos as well. You sat there trying to remember his name. You looked over the caption trying to find something leading to him, the caption read: “HAPPY 19th BIRTHDAY @satoruxgxjo! I hope 19 treats you good lil, bro :).” That was his name! You finally remembered him. Satoru gojo, it was definitely moan-able. You DM’D him almost immediately.

(Y/n): “Hey! I saw your birthday was earlier and I wanted to wish you a happy 19th birthday!” You didn’t know what you expected him to say back to that. You didn’t know if you wanted him to immediately block you or text you back. Maybe if he blocked you would be able to move on and heal. But all you wanted was revenge. After two minutes you got a notification from Instagram. (satoruxgxjo): “Yo, I appreciate it. it’s been a minute. How have you been?” A smug smile arose on your face. You instantly texted him back. (Y/n): “I’ve been amazing. Recently I had just got some za from a friend and since it’s your birthday maybe we can roll up?” You watch as your text goes from Sent to Seen. Your heart immediately went faster.(satoruxgxjo): “Lmao? That was quick but sure. I don’t mind. Addy?” Your face was sinister. If he could see your face right here probably think twice about his current decision. You sent him your location, (Y/n): “I mean it’s not like we don’t know each other Saturo, just pull up :) We can catch up!”, You were so happy that this was gonna work out perfectly. (satoruxgxjo): “Who is Saturo? It’s Satoru* n I’m otw.” That happiness quickly faded into embarrassment. How could you forget his name already? You repeated it 10x to remember it, while repeating his name you quickly got up and rushed upstairs.

You dressed yourself in a loose shirt that hung off your shoulders, your chest was the only thing holding it up. Underneath you made sure to treat your guests to an easy reveal no bra and pink Victoria's Secret lace panties. Your hair was messy letting little strands of hair frame your face. You rushed downstairs to set everything up, you grabbed an open bottle of Hennessy and accompanied it with a jar of bud including a pack of Raw’s. Everything was set for the most part. You dimmed the lights and played some sensual music. You turned your TV on to some random Netflix show to make it seem casual. You soon turned your attention to the door as the doorbell rang. A wicked smile placed on your face, your hips swaying to the music. You opened the door and smiled at your victim—I mean visitor. “Heyy~.” Your voice filled with a welcoming tone. Luring him in like a fisherman. “Hey, Y/n.” He had a basic white shirt on, and his muscular body filled it out nicely. His lower half was hidden behind grey sweatpants, He had on white cross that were no longer white. His tall frame continued to tower over you. He sounded so nonchalant, but his blue eyes told a different story. He couldn’t stop looking at your bare shoulders. “Come in hun.” You moved out of his way and motioned him to the couch. The table caught his attention immediately. You made your way to the kitchen swaying to the beat of the music. “Henny? Whatcha got this for?” He picked up the bottle with an eager smile. “Why else Satoru?” You winked at him. Watching him open the bottle and pour himself a shot. “Well, Hopefully, it’s not for little ole me. God, you wouldn’t make such a silly mistake and give an underage boy Hennessy? Right?” He asked mocking you. A smug expression on his face. You couldn’t wait to wipe it off. “Oh of course not! I would never do such a disgraceful thing. But..I won’t tell if you won’t.” He threw his head back and he gulped down the shot of liquor. The burning sensation only made him crave it more. “You know I don’t kiss and tell.” He chuckled as he watched you sit down on the couch. He soon followed you and plopped down beside you. “You ever rolled before?” You looked at him as you picked up the grinder. “Nah, I’m more of a pipe or hookah person. Ya’know?” You giggled at him. He was falling into your trap without even knowing. “Lemme show you how to roll then.”. You took him through the basic steps. Letting your hands guide his. After a few attempts, he was able to get a good enough roll for a beginner. “And now ya gotta lick it.” You bent over his lap using his muscular arm to hold yourself up. You dragged your tongue over the paper making sure to seal it. You took the joint from him and began to light it. His eyes watched you dangerously. After a couple of pulls, you handed it back over to him. He pulled a heavy hit making him cough. You poured another shot for the both of you. Handing him a glass of liquor. “Oh? Is that for me? How kind.” Your hand sat between his thighs. “Of course.” He took the glass and knocked it back, and you followed his lead.

You weren’t slightly drunk nor were you high. But you couldn’t say the same for Satoru. He almost finished your bottle of Hennessy. His head was between your neck and shoulder. He was mumbling incoherent nonsense, you didn’t particularly care what he was babbling about. He was lying between your legs using your chest to keep him propped up. His hands rubbing your thigh, “Mm..please.” He mumbled desperately. “I told you not to drink too much Gojo. Now look at you.” You laughed as you rubbed his head. “.. I know. m’ sorry. Please y/n. Please.” You were confused you didn’t know what he was asking for to be quite frank. “You should get an Uber to take you home.” You nudged him to get off of you. He didn’t budge at all. His eyes looked up at you pleading with you. “I don’t wanna go. I wanna stay with you. lemme stay.” He was so whiny while he was drunk it was pissing you off. “Okay, you can stay.” He hummed softly in response. “upstairs?” You whispered in his ear, he nodded his head. You moved off the couch pulling him off with you. You walked him up the stairs to your bedroom. He was stumbling up the stairs you had to hold him up. Making it to your room in one piece was the hardest part. Opening the door his hands never left your body, If anything they became more needy. His fingers roamed around your back as he began to tug at your shirt.

You grabbed his hands telling him to stop. “I don’t know...if we should do this...I’m sure your sister wouldn’t like this.” You smiled as you pushed him on the bed. He hadn’t realised it because he’d been so caught up in packing and saying goodbye to everyone but now that it’s over he remembers his self-imposed countdown was meant to be up by now. It’s the end of the school year and five months ago, he thought he’d be dead by now.

Instead he has a team and a future and a home and Andrew.

JAMES

 Aaron James Blanc is his full name since 2002 or so. 

Listen, do not call him Aaron. He’s James. Not Jamie. JAMES, with the affricate sound. Make an effort, because he’s learned Buenos Aires Spanish and could pass as a born and raised in the south of Buenos Aires if he tried. He doesn’t try, but that’s not the point. Point is you can and will call him by his proper name, unless you’re Cris or Ani, who call him other things. But that’s private.

See, after his father’s demise in a freak accident James deemed “karma”, he just grabbed whatever he could use of what his father left him (aka money), and ditched his father’s family name in favour of his mom’s. Because fuck that guy. That was the first year in Buenos Aires.  

Sarah Blanc sounds French, but she’s Argentinian. James’ mum left Argentina during the dictatorship to study in Europe, where she met Charles, an American business man she fell in love with. They got married and moved to Boston, where James was born on October 31st 1986.

By the time he was to start kindergarden, they moved to the west coast, where they lived a quiet suburban life until the summer of 2001, when Sarah found out Charles had a whole other family, with children and all. She packed up, grabbed 14yo James and left for Buenos Aires, where her whole family was.

James is an only child. He knows there are two guys in California who wish James would consider speaking to them, as half-siblings. And he knows they are not to blame, but he also doesn’t care. His mom is all he needs. 

Real talk, tho. The thing with Buenos Aires in October 2001 is that the whole country was about to go up in flames, and the main action was to take place right there in the city centre. You’d think James would have been horrified, but not riot could have distracted him from the San Telmo cobblestone and narrow sidewalks. James fell in love with San Telmo as fast as he fell in love with his new classmate Catalina, who lived there in the middle of the area. He decided he was going to live the rest of his life in San Telmo the day he walked its street for the first time. With Cat, preferrably. Fate had other plans, though. 

(Sarah says that the Boston area where they lived when James was born looked a lot like San Telmo. James wouldn’t know)

Catalina and he had in common that part where they both used their middle name instead of their first. Cat’s first name is Anita, by the way. You’ve heard of her.

He already spoke Spanish when he moved to Buenos Aires. Sort of. He relied a lot on Argentinian rock and folklore music (which are oddly entwined, fucking weird place, this one) to improve it. Poetry too. Mario Benedetti was a god send. He still treasures the first two Inventarios that Ani gave him.

He adapted. By the time he’d finished highschool, he already could pass for a porteño for a whole hour before getting too tired to roll the consonants properly, and he had decided his future was in restaurants, or bars, and music. When Anita left for England, he rented her place, and started his bar, where they both met Cristian almost a decade later.

James is bisexual. The type bisexuals hate, because he’s the disaster slut no bisexual wants to be mistaken for (Anita insists he’s pansexual. But pan is bread in Spanish, and it sounds funny. Bi it is, as far as James is concerned). He had a couple significant relationships in his 20s, and the fact that as good as they were, they ended without James feeling strongly about them went to reinforce the suspicion that his one true love was always his first (you guessed, that’s Anita). The cruel irony of falling in love with her boyfriend is not lost on him. It ends well though, after a lot of sleepless nights, tears and pining. Thank god for music, right? 

He’s a musician, like his father. Not that he’ll ever mention that asshole anyway. But it was his father who gave him his first guitar. He’s more fond of the piano now, though, and one hell of a singer, too. He knows Anita fell for that back in highschool, and then Cristian years later. He wishes he could say the seduction was conscious. It wasn’t. He just fell in love, and played the piano and sang to distract himself from his broken heart during the whole of 2015, when he realized he’d let his heart fuck up big time, and half of 2016, when he thought he was going mad. Thank god for music, indeed, because as it turns out, Anita and Cristian both decided they’d make room for him in their bed. Actually, that wasn’t that simple. But that’s how it ended.

His bar, where bands play and he plays with them regularly, is in the building where Anita used to live. It has regular patrons and does well even in hard times. They also have the bakery now, at the San Telmo market. It belongs to all three of them, even if James is the heart behind it. 

James is as handsome as he’s beautiful. And tall. One eighty-four meters tall (6′1′’) is Very Tall, especially if compared to Anita. But Cristian makes him feel small, which he finds extremely arousing. His eyes are grey-blue, and his hair is dark brown. He starts growing it out in 2014, so when he meets Cristian, he already has a decent ponytail, which turns into a manbun for a couple years. 

He has his nipples, left eyebrow and tongue pierced, and several tattoos he didn’t quite plan, but his favourite is the octopus on his forearm. The rest are all rather small. He loves huge tattoos but the idea of sitting down for hours puts him off enough, so he ended up with dozens of small ones. Like the star he got years ago, without telling Ani he just wanted her on his skin, so he went and got a star because she has one, too. Or the small feather,  identical to the ones on Cris’ shoulder, that he and Ani got for Cris’ 33rd birthday.   

He wishes he was a more patient man, see if he could get his hair to waist lenght, but after all, same as he one day he comes back home with both his partners’ names tattoed on the inside of his left wrist, where he can see them all the time, he also one day just shows up with short hair, which has Cristian fucking him into the floor the minute he gets over the initian surprise. Ani, on the other hand, stares longingly at him, because it reminds her of the boy she fell in love with in 2001.

Thing is, after bottling up whatever he felt about Anita for years, being able to be openly, stupidly in love makes him want to show it off. He will forever deny that he always knew he was in love with his highschool sweetheart and best friend since he arrived in Buenos Aires, but is glad Cristian never quite bought it. Thank god because James is a chatterbox who never did well with brain-to-mouth filters. After a around a year of angst and will-they won’t they, the three of them are happily together now. It’s a good thing they all fit comfortably in their king size bed.

ETA: I can’t believe I never considered that Harry Styles actually grew up, because grown-up Harry Styles has the best James energy, and the long hair and the random stuff tattoed.

This is Marce, Eric’s player and I forgot how to make intro posts so here goes nothing!! I took a second child, her name’s Dinah Moon and she’s the sweetest thing you’ll ever encounter. I actually played her a whiiile ago back in the day when she was Dinah Beaumont so I’m pretty excited aaand I hope you love her just as much as I do <3

A few things about her (super short because if I get into any detail this post will go on  f o r e v e r )

She’s 20 years old and a Junior at Carthay University.

Collects beautiful illustrated books since she was a child.

She loves to read and does own some proper literature but it’s not really rare for her to walk around town with a children’s book (Dr. Seuss is one of her favorites).

She spent a year as undecided until her dad finally pushed her into business major. She’s not hating it but she sure won’t talk about it outside of class. The whole thing is honestly kind of boring.

She LOOVES flowers and has a little garden on her window from which she’ll collect a couple to wear on her hair.

It’s a low-key dream of hers but she could see herself owning a flower shop one day. She just needs to properly take care of them first.

Her room is a mess. It’s not dirty, but it’s a mess. Only Dinah and maybe Alice can manage to navigate through the room like pros.

Not good with technology AT ALL. She often leaves her phone abandoned for days, the only effective way to reach her in case of an emergency is to call her and pray she didn’t silence her phone.

She does a lot of watercolor paintings and collages and flower pressed art but never really shows it to anyone. She doesn’t really see herself as an artist so why even bother? they make her happy and that’s enough.

But despite her not showcasing her work, she loves to admire other people’s work ( famous or not ).

Dinah has a tattoo on her right ankle. It’s a handful of colorful and delicate-looking daisies. She loves it but she doesn’t really think she’d get another one.

She's a bit of an introvert. Once you approach her it’s like she’s known you for half of her life, but she’s rarely ever one to approach anyone first. Which is probably why she sticks like glue to the town’s weirdo, dear Alice Lee.

But her adventure time is not strictly reserved for Alice only, she loves to do new things with new people– as long as it’s nothing boring like attending an economy conference bc she was once tricked into one and that’s never happening ever again.

One thing she loves more than going on adventure is sleeping. She loves it so much and you’re delusional if you think she’ll wake up before 10am on weekends and vacations.

She’s a little afraid of large bodies of water and sticks to the shallow end of the pool. Doesn’t really trust her poor swimming skills.

She also isn’t a fan of pets. She’s fine with dogs and cats walking around town, and will admit some are very cute indeed... but she’ll kindly refrain to pet anything and will continue to appreciate them from a distance.

She DOES NOT LIKE DRUGS. Hates them so much, don’t ever consume any in her presence please and thank you.

the last of the daly girls was the biggest surprise: tiny at birth (smaller than regina and grace) with bright blue eyes and hair of gold--the perfect contrast to her sisters. her parents were enthralled, her sisters were less so (because she was just another undeserving person to steal the attention, the gifts, the fawning). her gentle disposition earned her a loving nickname of principessa from her father and golden-girl from her sisters, but all was good for the mild-mannered catherine.

The Witch Challenge

Saw this going around, figured I’d poke at it... keep it going with your own answers and enjoy!

1. Are you solitary or in a coven? Can I say both?  I practice with my coven and I also practice as solitary - to better myself and for magick or intent that I cannot share with others.

2. Do you consider yourself Wiccan, Pagan, witch, or other? Pagan… witch...

3. What is your zodiac sign? Pisces (Sun and Rising) Sag (Moon)

4. Do you have a Patron God/dess? Yes, Cerridwen.

5. Do you work with a Pantheon? Yes - a couple actually.  I work closely the Welsh/Celtic pantheon, but I also work with Greek and Norse gods as well.  I’m eclectic at heart, so I am open to any of the god/desses that call to me.

6. Do you use tarot, palmistry, or 
any other kind of divination? Yes - tarot, astrology, mediumship are my go to’s.

7. What are some of your favorite herbs to use in your practice? (if any) Rosemary, Cedar, Mugwort

8. How would you define your craft? Eclectic at heart, and it has morphed over the years.  Right now, it seems to be a form of Celtic Shamanism with a dash of Strega (which surfaced over the past year as I started to study where exactly I came from).

9. Do you curse? If not, do you accept others who do? This seems a rather personal question and in my honest opinion, is only the business of the practitioner… that being said, I do accept others that do, as long as they do responsibly.

10. How long have you been practicing? Actively practicing, 10 years - although I did start dabbling closer to 20 years ago.

11. Do you currently or have you ever had any familiars? Yes… he’s a black and white ‘water’ cat - his name is Boo. :)

As in what exactly?  A witch is a magick practitioner - there are categories and types of magick, but if you practice magick, you’re some type of witch.  

26. What got you interested in witchcraft? The husband - he grew up Pagan.  And my folks never really liked him because he identified as a witch and, you know, that’s bad.  So, after we got married, I figured, well he can’t be all that bad and did some research.  Nothing has ever resonated more with me in my life!

27. Have you ever performed a spell or ritual with the company of anyone who was not a witch? No.

28. Have you ever used ouija? Yes, often.

29. Do you consider yourself a psychic? Yes.

30. Do you have a spirit guide? If so, what is it? A couple actually - my animal guide is an otter.

31. What is something you wish someone had told you when you first started? I don’t really know - don’t have an answer to this one.

37. How do you incorporate your spirituality into your daily life? Meditation, almost daily.  I also have crystals/herbs and other magickal items placed throughout and outside of the house for various magick things.  I also do a lot of candle work, at least once a week.

39. What is your favorite witchy book, both fiction and non-fiction. Why? Nonfiction is a toss up between Crone Magic and Cauldronborn… fiction, I enjoyed Harry Potter and the Witch and Wizard series.

40. What is the first spell you ever performed? Successful or not. It was a banishing - and it was successful.

41. What’s the craziest witchcraft-related thing that’s happened to you? When I was researching Paganism, trying to decide if it was horrible or not, I put a call out to the Goddess - told her, if she wanted me, she would have to give me some kind of undeniable sign.  That night, I woke three different times, to a woman’s voice yelling my name.  My husband heard nothing.  That’s when I decided to dedicate myself to the work of the Goddess.

42. What is your favourite type of candle to use? All of them, I’m really not prejudice ;) I’m a candle maker myself...

43. What is your favorite witchy tool? Again, all of them - I don’t use anything for my Craft that I don’t love.

The hypocrites… those who claim to be a witch just because it’s trendy or they’re a rebel.  Those who walk around like they know everything there is to know, and and look down their nose at others because they’ve practiced longer/trained in whatever/older/younger/different path/etc.  

53. Do you like incense? If so what’s your favorite scent? Yes, but I usually make my own - love frank and myrrh resins tho!

55. What has been your biggest witchcraft disaster? Doing magick during a voc moon - smoke alarms blaring at midnight, almost set ablaze my altar!

56. What has been your biggest witchcraft success? This is a tough one, and there’s a few that come to mind… but I think the biggest ‘success’ is me.  As I get to know myself and better myself, the stronger I become, and with magick, that makes all the difference!

57. What in your practice do you do that you may feel silly or embarrassed about? Not really - I have my practice, you have yours.  I don’t judge others, and could care less if they judge me.

58. Do you believe that you can be an atheist, Christian, Muslim or some other faith and still be a witch too? Indeed!

73. Do you celebrate the Esbbats? If so, how? Yes - with coven when they have ritual and at home during the full moon.  We light up the candles, make offering to the nature spirits, re-ward and cleanse the house, sit out crystals in the moonlight and sometimes sing to the moon herself.

75. Do you think witchcraft has improved your life? If so, how? Yes - I’ve done A LOT of self work in my Craft, not that I’m anywhere near done!  My confidence has improved greatly, ,my understanding of people and the world in general has shifted, I’m empowered, I’m a healer, and I am free, spiritually.  I’m still working thru physical and mental health issues, but it’s easier now - and I have a family that supports my growth.

76. Where do you draw inspiration from for your practice? My daydreams, walks out in nature, and late nights - after a certain hour, I’ve found that I think and perceive things a little different… and I’m more comfortable with myself as well.  

77. Do you believe in ‘fantasy’ creatures? (Unicorns, fairies, elves, gnomes, ghosts, etc) Yes.

79. Do you use blood magick in your practice? Why or why not? Yes, and just began recently - not for just anything tho.  It started because someone gave me an idea, so I did my research and tried it.  Blood magick is a powerful tool and it works, so I use it when needed.

81. In what area or subject would you most like your craft to grow? Right now, my magickal goal is very personal.  

82. What’s your favorite candle scent? Do you use it in your practice? See, I make candles, so this is a rough one :/ I have one called Witches Brew, which is a blend of amber and ylang ylang,,, that’s probably my favorite… and yes!

83. Do you have a pre-ritual ritual? (I.e. Something you do before rituals to prepare yourself for them). If so what is it? Bath or shower with salts/oils/incense

84. What real life witch most inspires your practice? I don’t really have one.

86. How do you like to organize all your witchy items and ingredients? Drawers and boxes - organized so that I know where everything is and disorganized enough so that others can’t ;)

87. Do you have any witches in your family that you know of? After a bit of research, I found a few on both sides of my family - but my family did a decent job hiding it, to the point where I’m not even sure my parents know about them.

88. How have you created your path? What is unique about it? Tbh, I believe everyone’s path is pretty unique - and yes, I do not follow a particular path because I’m eclectic.  My path shifts and changes when the need arises… kinda like that river thing, you never step in the same river 2x because it’s always moving and changing?  That’s kinda what my Craft is like.

89. Do you feel you have any natural gifts or affinities (premonitions, hearing spirits, etc.) that led you toward the craft? If so what are they? Empathy and premonitions are things I grew up with and evolved naturally into my practice.  Spirit communication, energy healing and divination came very easy to me, once I woke up to them.

90. Do you believe you can initiate yourself or do you have to be initiated by another witch or coven? It’s a personal decision, really.  I believe it can be done either way.

91. When you first started out in your path what was the first thing or things you bought? Candles

93. What’s one piece of advice you’d give someone who is searching for their matron and patron deities? Let them come to you - meditate and pray, keep an open heart and mind - then do your research!

94. What techniques do you use to ‘get in the zone’ for meditation? Not a lot, noise cancellation headphones work well tho (don’t even need the music, just the silence)!

95. Did visualization come easily to you or did you have to practice at it? Visualization comes very easy to me.

96. Do you prefer day or night? Why? Late night; it has been my experience that the mind works better the later it gets.

97. What do you think is the best time and place to do spell work? Dusk; outdoors

98. How did you feel when you cast your first circle? Did you stumble or did it go smoothly? Well, I clearly remember feeling the shift - whether or not it was ‘smooth’, I have no idea lol - but I considered it a success when I felt the shift.

99. Do you believe witchcraft gets easier with time and practice? Yes.

101. Do you eat meat, eggs and dairy? Yes to meat, no eggs or dairy (mostly because I have crappy reactions to them)

1. smiling right now? No. Does anyone sit here grinning while taking surveys? < Hahaha the visual made me laugh so I am smiling now, indeed. I don’t usually smile when taking surveys though, unless someone sent me a funny text or something.

 3. What’s irritating you right now? My wireless headphones are charging and I really want to use them now.

 4. when did you last eat pizza? End of Feb-ish. JM called for a meeting at 5:30 on a Friday, so to make up for it he bought three party-sized pizzas and a box of mojos for all of us. He was starving that time so that was definitely a big influence on his order which was unnecessarily too big, considering that we were only five people in the meeting.

 5. do you drink beer? Only if I really have to, otherwise I hate the taste. Some parties or social events only serve beer, so. I always have to mask the disgust on my face for every sip too, lol.

 6. what do you want? For me to stop overthinking. I can do that about everything, and it’s not fun. It’s just tiring.

7. do you have any television obsessions? Friends. Save for seasons 1 and 2, I’ve watched every episode at least a dozen times and even keep it playing on Netflix to help me fall asleep.

8. last spoken words you heard? “You ok?” My puppy was whining in his sleep so I called him and asked him that.

9. when was the last time you cried? Couple of days ago. I was watching this soldier dad surprising his kids for Christmas. Am a big sucker for dads being gone a long time and going back home their family, given that my dad has been an overseas worker for as long as I can remember.

10. is your sister a slut? She is not. Not that it would be a bad thing if she was; she’s just not one.

 11. pepsi or coke? I don’t like soda but my parents would sometimes buy one of the lighter versions of Coke and when I tasted those, it was actually a bit pleasant. Still didn’t enjoy the fizziness but at least it burned my throat a lot less.

 13. what is your favorite sport? Pro wrestling, if it counts. I havent’t watched an episode in years and I truthfully don’t recognize half the top wrestlers in the world right now, but I’m still very much attached to it. Wrestling’s been in my life in so long that it would be dumb not to name it as my favorite.

14. do you enjoy piercings and tattoos? I don’t actively look for them in other people but when I come across someone with a tattoo that has a cool story behind it, I’d love to hear about it.

15. do you enjoy taco bell or mcdonalds? Yes. Taco Bell slightly more, because I barely get to have it whereas there’s a McDo every five kilometers where I live and it’s easy to get tired of it.

16. are you restless? Lately yes, more than usual. Finally got around to joining several job-hunting websites just so I can get acquainted with this new environment that I’ll be in for pretty much the rest of my life, so naturally I’ve been overthinking a lot - about whether I’m good or skilled enough or not, if my resumé’s good enough even though mine is objectively stacked...the mind is not a healthy place, y’all. Sigh.

The EIC likes acting as if he’s in charge of everything and never asks for my opinion or assigns me anything as the associate editor, so much so that I’ll sometimes take up certain crucial tasks all on my own and just inform him afterwards. Get Closer With Me

Hi guys! I was supposed to work on my articles today but I ended up procrastinating the whole day. Is there such thing as a productive procrastination? I guess, this must be a great example of such. 

Quarantine has made me think of some worthwhile activities, including this. The other day, I found myself looking through my cabinet and discovered a bunch of nostalgic things. It made me realize how simple life was way before. Indeed, life is a never ending cycle of going through changes. Sure, we can never turn back time but at least, we have these things that would help us reminisce our past moments. 

I also remembered a note I published on my Facebook wall way back 2011. I got to scan and copy its content here and figured I could compare my perspective 9 years ago to present time.

52. First  surgery=  Way back 2016. My first and hopefully, only surgery. It’s termed as Small Bowel Resection wherein a  part of my intestines where a tumor has grown was cut and removed. It was a  life-changing moment and I could not be more thankful to God for giving me  another chance to live. Life is precious!
