Long post, but I finally got around to drawing some Bad Batch fanart after forever! I love this series, and so far season 3 has been my favorite of the bunch, but I'm so sad it'll be ending in a few weeks....Hunter is my favorite of the bunch, but Crosshair is very quickly becoming my other main fave.

A headcanon I just got is that Crosshair would like to throw bits of food and Wrecker would love to catch them with his mouth.

Think about it! Crosshair would throw a chip or piece of meat and try multiple variants of parabolic trajectories, direct shots, maybe a trick shot with a cup, and Wrecker would just be so happy to catch whatever snacks Crosshair would literally throw his way.

They'd show it off in any gathering or outing, but I also like to think Wrecker and Crosshair would do this when they're by themselves as a cute little sibling tradition they have. I like to imagine the first time they did that after Crosshair returned from the Empire.

"Hey, Cross!"

Crosshair just stares blankly at Wrecker.

"Toss me that chip." Wrecker crouches and opens his jaw wide.

A little smile appears on Crosshair's lips for the first time in a bit. For a moment it's just like old times.

You ever think about Hunter taking care of everyone in the crew except himself?

Like to the point of forgetting to eat or refusing to if they are low on rations, taking that extra shift at night so everybody can sleep even though he’s been awake for the last couple days?

Idk as the leader he thinks everything is on him, he must take the blow for the crew, he must provide.

not to keep star wars posting, but I keep seeing a lot of posts talking about how Hunter didn't clock the shadow clone operative but Batcher did, and other things talking about his super senses not really being used much this season.

And it makes me think, I wonder if his senses are only as good as his mental health?

cuz i've seen a lot of older stuff (like s1 theories/posts) that talk about Hunter's senses being overwhelmed by exterior sensory stuff and him not being able to use his senses as well, and I wonder if his internal problems/mental health are stopping him from doing his job as well.

Because even with Omega back, he still is very stressed out and during the shadow clone scene, he had just figured out Omega was a target so that probably added more stress to what he was already dealing with.

Between season 2 and 3, Hunter had to deal with his grief and emotions, mourning both Tech and losing Omega. And I also think Echo being gone didn't help.

And there's only so much Wrecker could do to help him, and Hunter seems the type to not tell Wrecker what's wrong or let him help.

Hunter "losing" his abilities checks out for this season, what with Crosshair also having trouble with his own ability. Seems like everything is catching up to the Batch and they're going to have to start relying on more than their abilities.

Just a thought, idk.
