about.

My name is Cassian but I also accept Viscera as a nickname. My pronouns are he/him and I am rapidly approaching year 22 on this earth.

I have been writing since I was 8, so about 14 years now, but am still constantly evolving and learning and developing my skills - like any artist!

I've written primarily fanfiction for most of my life, but I have MANY ocs and original wips and I think 2025 is the year of finally focusing on them!

For original fiction, I write primarily fantasy, modern with magic, or hidden fantasy settings. I'm also discovering my love for writing erotica and filthy nasty sex, so that's ... what a lot of my wips feature or center around nowadays!

You can read my original work on AO3 here, and I am working to build a neocities site to cross-post on.

I still write a lot of fanfic, but the majority of it is rpf/band-based and not usually something I'm comfortable sharing here - though you're welcome to ask about it still if that strikes your fancy!

about me

I go by Space, my pronouns are they/he, and I’m in my third decade of existence, which is absolutely wild. I’ve been writing for most of it, so I like to think I’m pretty decent

i recently finished a litfic novel called dairy whiskey and am editing it right now, hoping to get it ready for agent submissions in a month or two. i put my heart and soul and blood and bones into it, so if you’d like to dive into the story and read a few excerpts, you can check out the intro here and every other excerpt here!

rock salt is my main wip since finishing dairy whiskey. it is the story of identical twins rain and norah as they move out for college and navigate their lives on their own, which ends up in them growing apart. if you like complicated sibling relationships and the struggles of growing up, you’ll love this book!

i so badly want to start writing it, but i don’t think i’ll be able to until dairy whiskey is in a more secure position. so, there probably won’t be any updates for a few months, but you can read the wip intro here.

this is a gay vignette novel that i started writing back in 2021 as a source of personal joy. this is the story of how a singer-songwriter desperate for normalcy meets a boy with a heart heavy with guilt. this is the story of how they fall in love and it’s honestly quite wholesome <3

i haven’t worked on this book in so long and i’ve been trying to sneak some words in, but it feels like the book needs a fresh start. i don’t know, i just might start it all over again. but until then, here’s an outdated wip intro.

green room is a literary/experimental memoir documenting my teenage years as a writer. it is a deep dive into craft and how it affects life, particularly how it moulds you as a person. i haven’t started drafting this yet, but here’s a wip intro for now.

what i write: really geared toward sff! i love multiverse, time travel, alternate dimension stories, but i also have some more classic fantasy wips!

my wips are numerous and time limited, but three wips i'm currently working on are to win a prince (a knight goes on a quest to be able to marry their best friend, but along the way, the past is dredged up and they realized that they can never return the same), in the name of a capitalized lord (in a world where reigning lords are gods, becoming a saint is both an honor and a fate worse than death. on the run, a mail carrier ends up in a sealed off lorddom and a even more mysterious--and perhaps sinister---lord), and the house creation, the house indifferent (short story/novella following a person who has lived all their life in an ever changing house and who starts to unravel the mysteries surrounding the only other two people there).

what i draw: mainly ocs but i'm currently planning on doing more art studies to #ImproveMyArt. if you're a fellow writeblr who draws, lm know!

I tend to write in quite a flowery language and in poetic prose, but since English isn't my first language it can come across slightly awkward (TL; DR I do plenty of updates and edits to my posted stuff)

My wips are inspired and sometimes directly refer to a certain mythology, such as Slavic (this one is also most widely used as I like to read local legends of Serbia, Russia, the Czech and Slovak Republic, Ukraine, Poland and so on), Chinese, Nordic, Japanese and Indonesian. HOWEVER I love to create my own mythos and so the world is a blend of characters directly based of a mythological figure exploring environement both familiar and completely new to them. (I've always been intruiged by a question what would happen if world mythologies bumped into each other and what would be the consequences of it.)

My own mythos are pretty much eldritch-like oriented with a significant touch of folk horror. I'm not going to lie, I'm a FromSoftware fanboi, I see Bloodborn or Kuon, I'm going feral and so is my inspiration.

There are many occuring themes about substance abuse, addiction, health issues, gore, extreme violence, sexual assault/rape and other strongly 18+ stuff, so I'd appreciate if only 20+ y.o. people (or be at least 18, really) follow this account. In other words - PLENTY OF NSFW THAT'S NOT DIRECTED AND INTENDED FOR MINORS.

WIPs

Not all from my wips have a proper introduction (a.k.a. there's no link for their Tumblr WIP intro). BUT I do plan on doing them, so expect the links to be updated. These are just quick summaries of them.

The Flight of the Western Crane - A dark retelling of Journey to the West where Sun Wukong tries to protect the young Buddhist monk Tang Sanzang while meeting a duo of a stranded Princess of the Great Tiger Kingdom and her foreign advisor Lady Wolf Witch. Their common journey starts out as an innocent one. However, it soon evolves into a dangerous chase where the Monkey King must face the worst of his opponents.

City of False Gods - Hybrid of wuxia, mystery and film noir genres set on a fabricated island near Hong Kong. The fiction evolves around the Monkey King who's, after his yet another imprisonment, woken up to a strange world of 1920s where his powers are under a radar by the local supernatural cop unit and is forced to live among the poorest while trying to solve strange happenings in the city. City of False Gods also serves as a sequel to The Flight of the Western Crane.

Empire of Dust - Historical dark fantasy with horror elements set in 330 Constantinople. The story follows two little sisters one of whom is considered neither dead nor alive. One day, Ulfrika sets out for a strange task in order to provide for her dear little sister. Her pure-hearted intention, though, may lead her down the rabbit hole which may devour her sanity.

Ratpeople - An outline idea for a standalone story involving Ulfrika and her time in the Wild West, where the soulless hybrid discovers an eerie town in the desert while chasing after a man who stole one of her horses. The story is related to weird western (mostly its horror and fantasy elements and no sci-fi stuff) and mystery genres and also mythology related things.

Boy Who Chased a Dragon - Another outline story outside the universe of The Legends of No-man's Land. The story takes place on an island of eternal summer and flower bloom, where mythical creatures live peacefully. One day, Dado* loses his pet dragon, a creature his sister gave him for his 8th birthday, in a harsh storm. Now, he sets out for a long journey to retrieve his best friend from the claws of the cruel Ember King.

Writeblr Re-Intro

Hi folks, it's been a while. Life has been pretty hard the last few months, but I'm ready to come back to the community and get back to posting. I apologise for the readmore here, but this is quite lengthy. I'm up for tag games and asks of all types, though I may take a bit of time to respond at times. Please DM me if you want to be added to any of my taglists.

I'm Aquadestiny, or Aqua for short, I write almost exclusively fantasy based on an old D&D campaign that took place in the world of Fighting Fantasy. Said campaign has been given the title 'Destiny's New Servants' and was the second D&D campaign I ever took part in as a player, then halfway through it became my first experience as a GM. The campaign was played using 3rd edition D&D as the ruleset, so much of the way I write has been partially informed by the mechanics of that system. I have been given the blessing of several of the other players of that campaign to use their characters in my writing and the full blessing of @druidx to use her characters and referencing some of her writing in my work as we both write for the same setting. Full credit will always be given if this is the case in any given piece of writing I do.

My work goes through the whole spectrum of experiences from cute and fluffy to heart-rending angst and pretty much everything in between. A good amount of the things I write are either: Dramatisations of campaign sessions, or pre/post-campaign stories that help to further character development and/or the worldbuilding.

Although all of the work I post here is interlinked in some fashion (my masterpost contains links to everything) my WIPs can be split into 5 main camps:

The Wizard's Tale: The story of the Destiny's New Servants campaign as seen through the eyes of my very first roleplay character, Selene Frigidwake, who became an important NPC. Expect a whole lot of angst and unresolved trauma stemming from my first campaign as a player with this one.

The Trouble with Meredith: The backstory of my second roleplay character ever, Meredith Gruksdottir. This story is a little more light-hearted and tells the story of how Meredith even ended up becoming a Player Character in the Destiny's New Servants campaign. There's still some drama and angst, but it's not quite as prevalent.

Destiny's New Servants- Fangthane's Folly Edition: Contains dramatisations of the Destiny's New Servants campaign story from Meredith's perspective, as well as other stories detailing the goings on back in Fangthane during the campaign that happened 'offscreen'. This one runs the whole gamut, but there's a lot of angst and drama seeing as this is based on a D&D campaign where the original GM was a huge fan of both.

Titan Fighting Fantasy Modern AU: This is currently a working title. This is basically what it says on the tin. This is an alternate universe story set in a modern version of Titan, taking place around the 90s.

The Ouroboros of Destiny: This is a collection of stories based around the current campaign I'm running in the setting. The series mostly follows Meredith's youngest son, Llachlan, and covers mainly the backstory of this current campaign and some of the goings on behind the scenes of events occurring during it. This has angst galore, so buckle up.

this is a reintroduction only in technicalities, because even though i made an intro for writeblr, i did absolutely nothing. fortunately i've since graduated hs, so now i can actually do stuff 👍🏽 yay!

i've been drawing and painting for longer than i've been writing, so this blog is a general basket of all things i create. my bigger writing projects are mostly worldbuilding-heavy fantasy, and these motherfuckes do take their time to develop. i also dabble in poetry-writing and short stories, which i do post here. usually. sometimes .

my recurring themes are an insight in culture, its artefacts and cultural dynamics, the human condition and how to navigate it, grief and love (intristically tied), the little rituals of everyday life that keep us together, gender, and post-colonialism.

CHAOS THEORY 🏗 ⚖ is a webcomic in works with a few novella / short story off-shoots. 𓇢 on a continent wherein the human has married the machine not so soon after she began her discovery of the surrounding world now grows a tumor of a nautical empire, slowly digesting the land alive with its dreams of Carbon and asciension to the higher self. a group of workers inside the so-called Furnaces decide to up the stakes, causing a strike aiming at the root, which might either swallow them whole... or who knows. ━━━━━━━

TEGUMENT 🧿🐟 is... it's own thing. a narrative with drawings and stories written in-between. set in a cassette-futuristic world and centers on insanily codependent lesbians who want to reach godhood as one, while also dealing with a growth spurt of fake idols and a growing gap between their identities.
