A pullet with an interesting form of wry neck. It was like her neck was all loose and she couldn't control it. I told her owner to continue giving her vitamins in her water and to give her a tiny bit of vitamin E and Selenium paste. The pullet quickly made a full recovery the next day after being offered this and leafy greens.
Wry neck is easily treated at home and usually due to nutritional deficiencies caused by the feed or due to illness like coccidosis or parasites but some breeds like Silkies are more prone to it in general.
Another really cool buck I had the privilege of working on.
Not only are his antlers asymmetrical, but his muzzle veers slightly to (his) left. This is called wry mouth/nose. This was most likely a birth defect, and probably didn’t affect the buck in life, as it’s so subtle I didn’t even notice anything was off until I was taking photos!
