Does anyone else get a random urge to prepare for the apocalypse? Like, you’ll be eating breakfast or rewatching your favorite show when the idea hits you. For example:

I am used to having to disguise my views in real life and elsewhere online. I hope, as long as it can, Tumblr stays a place where people can talk outside the walls of the duopolic electoral cage. I hope the blogs of my mutuals, even the ones with widely different political views than mine, aren't slowly turned into dead sunglasses emojis. It is a proper shame, Tumblr is such a beautiful nexus of not just politics you can't get much anywhere else but art, insanity, and truly personal glimpses into our humanity online unfettered by the civil showmanship of Instagram, the character limits of Twitter, or the like.

I suppose everything good in this society dies and it will get much worse before it gets any better. So many stories will be flushed down the drain as USA becoming more nakedly fascist leads to a new Dark Age where so much is lost forever. I suppose all I can say is, I love you, and I enjoy your blog now, and though many of you I will never meet in real life, I feel I have glimpsed your souls and feel our friendship is just as real as those I see at work or on the street. We are so different and yet so similar. Tumblr really is the greatest party ever thrown. It is a shame the hosts are setting the walls on fire.
