Eddie's back on bed rest, and Steve's over to keep him company on a rainy day. When he goes digging around in Eddie's room, he finds what Eddie's been working on for the past month, and he does something about it.

--- Laying around in his bed became old as soon as he was healed enough he didn't need a minute to recover when he stood up, so onto the porch he went, because he's capable of learning and decided to skip the whole eternal agony thing. Sure, he misses sketching and writing lyrics and strumming out new melodies, but it's fine. He was satisfied with whittling dicks.

He even ended up getting pretty good at it. It's a creative stretch without being so difficult he can't just zone out while he's doing it. He's seen a lot more early summer sunsets this year than he usually does. ---

“I thought you said I wasn’t old!” Roy argued over the music. Jamie turned to face him once they were in the middle of the floor.

“Only I can call you old, grandad,” Jamie explained with that cute little squint in his eyes, scrunch of the nose, and quirk of the head. Roy accepted that for what it was, letting his increasing buzz, the loud music, and Jamie’s intoxicating movements take over his mind instead.
