Being apart of the BUA was amazing and all but knowing how each case they got was always saved made you feel some type of way. This feeling wasn’t innocent one bit it was hate but on a mission Reader encountered Jethro Gibbs who gave you a card if you ever wanna join. It was right after that mission that you snapped and quit without reason or a care who then immediately call up Gibbs with his fine ass job offer.

The BUA would be the most surprised about reader leaving to only join NCIS a organization that doesn’t even get respect! When they see all the cases that NCIS helped solved they only saw you.

Spencer would ponder for days wondering what made you so ticked off to join NCIS. He wouldn’t get an answer because he’d always have your help to find what made the unsub tick.

Derek and Penelope would feel a bit empty without you. You’d alway bring them food and engage in their playful flirtatious manners. You’d also brighten their day but now every little thing reminds them of you. To someone’s hair color to their coat it always goes back to YOU

The others how they felt the same but when they finally were forced to work with NCIS they saw how Reader acted with them.

Reader and Tony would flirt and pretend to be a couple!

Gibbs tooks hotch’s places as a father figure as he’d smack sense into both literally and metaphorically.

Reader listened to the rambles and stories of Ducky whose stories usually go unheard or fallen to the dears ears.

Caitlin would always get the silly nicknames Reader saved for the BUA but also was gifted amazing nick nacks that Reader was reminded of her.

Abby and Reader would act like siblings hilariously amazing while also being the best workers! You’d bring her food and drinks

The BUA hated how you replaced all of them. They wanted you back and they’d make sure to get you back but NCIS is known to be a stubborn assholes who aren’t easy to give up on their cases,property,or employees especially when that employe has became the heart of sanity there.

Chapter 9

At the top of the stairs in Gibbs’ basement, on the other side of the open door, the chill from the night air was even more noticeable.  Your boss didn’t look up from the area that he was focusing on the wooden frame of his boat but you knew that he had registered your presence.  Descending the stairs, you made your way to the opposite side of the boat to Gibbs and accepted the sandpaper that he thrust at you.

“You should be sleeping.”

“I can’t.”  You confessed after you identified where you needed to use the sandpaper.  This wasn’t your first time in your boss’ basement and it was an open invitation to any member of Gibbs’ team to visit Gibbs in his basement and talk through any problems that you were facing.  “The what-ifs keep buzzing around in my mind.  What if I hadn’t had breakfast that morning?  What if Barba’s second-in-command had gotten the dosage wrong?  Or what if he decided that Sonny and I weren’t worth the hassle of keeping us alive?  What if I hadn’t gone with Sonny to that warehouse?  What if Sonny had been hurt worse because I didn’t put together that Barba was the one we were really searching for?”

“What if you stepped off the path at the wrong time and you got hit by a bus?”  Your boss questioned without missing a beat.  “What if you fell down the stairs just now?”

The repetitive movements of your hand allowed your mind to drift back to the case and concentrate on the facts of the case while your mind absorbed what your boss was telling you. 

“I’m disappointed in myself,” you exhaled.  “I had all this training and experience from the BAU and from NCIS and I still didn’t see Barba’s betrayal coming.  I should have known better when he took an interest in me.”

Gibbs snorted sceptically, “It wasn’t just you that he deceived.”

“Yeah, I know.”  You responded.

You and your boss lapsed into a comfortable silence until you remembered something else.  “Barba’s now in a federal prison and Interpol has the relevant information.”

There was a slight displeased twitch of your boss’ lips at the mention of Interpol.  The less he had to deal with Interpol, the better.  Especially when it came to their boss, a former insurance salesman.  The dealings that he had had with them in the past were less than pleasant and Gibbs had promised himself that he would do whatever he needed to do to keep the interactions between you, Tony, Bishop, Torres, Ducky, Palmer, Abby, Ziva, and McGee to a minimum.  Gibbs was grateful for the fact that you had remembered about Rule 45 which meant that Interpol was up to date and wouldn’t be bothering his team unless there was a dire need.  Gibbs hoped that never happened.

“Rule 11?” Your boss quizzed.  His voice belied none of his thoughts.

“When the job is done, walk away.”

“Move to your right.  That panel needs more sanding.”

Meanwhile, Rafael Barba sat at a white circular table on a hard chair with his hands cuffed on top of the table after his trial in front of the Naval Court.  To no one’s surprise, he was found guilty on all accounts.  He had to give the officers in charge some credit; they were remarkably efficient and swift in dispensing justice when they learned that two of their own were impacted as a result of his actions.

Regardless of the fact that he had not been there very long, Rafael was still entitled to visits.  He tuned out the mindless chatter in the room and focused on his cuffed hands.  A shadow appeared on the tabletop and unhurriedly, he moved his gaze to the person who cast the shadow.

“I see you got my message.”

Rita Calhoun settled down opposite him, “Never thought I’d see the day when Rafael Barba sat in federal prison as a prisoner.”

Rafael cast his eyes around the spacious and poorly designed room.  He made eye contact with one of the guards and jerked his chin upwards.  The guard paled and gave the order for the room to be cleared.

When the room was empty, Rafael spoke again, “Though it is not the same as the outside world, I have a substantial amount of influence in this prison.”

Rita laid her briefcase on the table, “And I presume this is where I come in?”

Rafael inclined his head.

“Then we had better get started on your defence.  I believe the sympathetic angle would be the best bet.  You will have to assure the court that you are not a threat to society which includes you promising that you won’t seek any opportunities to take revenge on the NCIS and SVU teams that played a role in your arrest.”

Rafael was silent and a calculating gleam appeared in his green eyes that had dulled slightly from his time in prison.  While he was afforded some luxuries due to his position on the outside, nothing compared to the comforts of home.

“If the court senses that you will harm Special Agent (Surname)--”

“NO!” Barba thundered, “She is not to be harmed.  If anyone attempts to do so, they will deal with me!”  He thumped his hand on the table for added emphasis and he enjoyed the involuntary jump from Rita after his proclamation.

“The others are not to be harmed either.  I will not take the chance that (Name) might risk her life to protect one of them.”

“I’ll give the order,”  Rita promised.

“Good to hear.”  Rafael smiled but it didn’t reach his eyes, “With your assistance, I’m sure that I’ll be released very soon.”

EJ definitely wouldn't admit that he's constantly worried he'd break his smol Darling. Like let's be real. Them being that short and if he goes into heat. He'd be checking them over after he got his bearings straight. I'm putting money on him going full doctor mode, checking if nothing's torn, broken, infected, and even putting them in a wheel chair if they can't walk afterwards and keeping them in a sanitized room if his brain is still somewhat in the fog of heat.

Also, small theory/ idea : EJ when he is in pure heat and senses Darling is pregnant (be it demon magic or just scent --kinda like how dogs can pick that up) he'd full on control Darling's diet until his heat is gone. Purely to make sure everything is developing correctly. Think James Palmer from NCIS when his wife is pregnant. Woman couldn't even have a burger without that man having a panic attack. Has to check the PH levels of the water just to see if it's "safe".

Since EJ is a more cruel kind of yandere. So I can see his worry being pretty fake. If it's really severe he'll be worried because like, he still semi-cares about you.

Idk if it's just me, but I don't really like the whole idea of EJ having heat. Like, he's a demon, not really an animal.

Summary:Atlas Reid,the youngest member of the BUA. Atlas use to work at NCIS before going to the BUA,they became emotionally dependent on Gibbs,Kate,Ducky,Tony,and Abby so it was stuff when they quit to work for the BUA. They quit after they all thought Kate died. When no contact with any of them suddenly changes as her team is paired up with NCIS they see that Kate is alive and that their old team’s obsession hasn’t died down. How will her new teams obsession work with their old teams obsession?

Sighing as they sat on the cold titled floor they watched as the blood drip from their soft thighs. RING RING “hm?” Grabbing the phone they answered it and put it on speaker. “Yello?” “Hey At! Everyone needs to come in” “okay I’m on my way” they hang up as they wrapped their bandages around their thighs then cleaning up the blood making sure it won’t be found with a UV light. Soon they got changed into a good work outfit then ran to their car.

‘Yes saved by the hour!’ Atlas thought as they just made it in a nick of time. “DAMN IT! thought they were finally gonna be late” “think again my dearest Morgan!” Atlas chuckled feeling the blood still trying to stain their pants but they won’t,the bandages won’t let them. “So what was so important?” “We’re working with NCIS” hearing that Atlas’s heart stopped,all the memories they pushed back is back. Kate’s death was coming back to life which made them sit in their chair taking deep breaths. “Hey you okay?” “Y-yeah just lightheaded ya know?” “Yeah here’s some water” Morgan threw a water bottle at them which they caught perfectly and started to chug it.

Atlas was nervous scratching his wrist and looking all over the place,his breathing felt heavier. Atlas started to play with his long hair making him a bit feminine to the outsiders eye but people who knew him knew he was anything but feminine. Finally they got to NCIS as he started to hold Emily’s hand out of instinct which she knew that he was fearful and nervous. They walked in and he saw six familiar people. Gibbs the leader of them,Tony the so called Playboy,Ducky the amazing in Atlas’s words ‘Death’s helper’,McGee one of the recent or was when Atlas was around guys,Abby the tech savvy goth girl,and Kate…wait Kate!? ‘No no I’m having hallucinations again fuck! Did I forget to take my damn medication?’ That was going through Atlas’s head as he looked checked his memo pad it showed he took it.

Kate’s smile was thinner as she saw that Atlas was believing he was going mental. “Atlas” “Kate…” “you know them?” “Used to work here…before what I thought was Kate’s death…” Hotch knew as he took Atlas and held his hand while silently asking if he’s okay which Atlas just nodded at. Atlas saw their old desk was empty as always so they checked everything to see all the art they drew on the desk remained. “Was the janitor not giving a shit that I left my artwork” “No,we made them leave it alone” Atlas was shocked but felt the pain of the blood bleeding. “I’ll be back I need to use the restroom I know my fucking way” Atlas started to walk to the restroom limping slightly but not noticeable. As soon as they were alone in the restroom they started to change the bandages quickly while hiding the bandages. Atlas had one thing in his mind that Ari told him after he kidnapped him.

“I’m so glad I travelled in the car with you two,” you yawned as Torres finished parking the car.  Ellie had woken you up by prodding you with her finger until you stirred from the front passenger seat.

“Because we’re the most charming of the team?”  Torres grinned.

“Not just that.  If I were in the car with Tony and Ziva, I probably would have a few more bruises and I wouldn’t have been able to get any sleep at all.”

Torres shuddered, “I’ve heard about her driving.”

“I haven’t.  What’s it like?”

“Effective.”  You eventually answered.

“That’s the best way to describe it,” Torres agreed.  “I think Gibbs is the only one who can beat her in the driving category.”

“You have no idea,” you stretched.  “Being in a car with both of them is not on my to-do list.”

“I’ll tell them you said that.” Bishop winked after she’d opened her door.

You gaped at her in mock betrayal, “And after I fed you.”  You gasped dramatically.  “Is there no decency in the world anymore?”

“None.”  Torres deadpanned as the two of you climbed out of the car.  “That’s why we’re here.”

Your amusement evaporated instantly, “Right.” You exhaled, stepping onto the footpath.  Abby had done some digging and brought up the fact that this case shared a few similarities to three others around the tri-state area.  There didn’t appear to be any pattern yet but you knew Abby would keep digging until she found something that connected them all.

Within minutes you saw another two cars approaching you.  One was a dark blue sedan and the other was a white station wagon.  It wasn’t hard to make out the faces of Ducky, Palmer, Abby, Gibbs, Tony, Ziva, and McGee in the different cars.  As soon as Abby saw the three of you, she waved.

You felt some of your previous amusement returning as you noticed that Ziva was driving the dark blue sedan.  You nudged Bishop with your elbow and she smirked before nudging Torres with hers.  The agent coughed and focused on the pavement for a few moments.

Once Ziva had finished parking and the car was stationary, Tim opened his door and bolted out of the car, “Never again.”  He vowed, standing next to you.  “I would rather experience another pointless department meeting than be forced to endure Ziva’s driving again.  Not only that, but I had to spend three hours and forty-five minutes listening to Tony ramble on about classic movies and listen to him doing impressions of his favourite characters for the whole drive.”

Bishop struggled to conceal her sniggering and McGee peered around you to glare at her, “You think that’s funny Bishop?  Just for that, we’re swapping.  You’re riding with Ziva and Tony and I’m riding with (Name) and Torres.”

Bishop controlled her laughter as the other members of the NCIS team joined you on the pavement.  Gibbs looked at you, “What are you waiting for?  This case isn’t going to solve itself.”

Recognising the order in that sentence, you turned to face the building that had been behind you and your team walked towards the entrance.

As expected, the 16th precinct was a hub of bustling activity.  The second you stepped into the squad room; many heads turned to face you.  This may have been because a woman with long brown hair and a sergeant’s badge clipped to her belt had come over to you.

“Welcome to Manhattan.  My name is Detective Olivia Benson.”

Your boss stepped forwards, “I’m Special Agent Gibbs.  This is Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo, Special Agent Tim McGee, Special Agent Ziva David, Special Agent Nick Torres, Special Agent Ellie Bishop, and Special Agent (Name) (Surname).  Our ME team are Abby Sciuto, Dr. Donald Mallard, and Dr. Jimmy Palmer.”

“Call me Ducky,” Ducky ordered as he stretched out his hand to Olivia.  “Everyone does.”

Olivia shook Ducky’s hand with a smile, “I’d like you to meet my team.”  She beckoned them over.

The first man to reach you nodded in greeting and held out a hand to shake, “Detective Fin Tutuola.  Call me Fin.”  He had brown skin; one pierced ear and his dark hair was tied in a ponytail that rested on the back of his neck.  Your first impression of the man was that he had a very low tolerance for bullshit and called things as he saw them.

Next to introduce themselves was a tall man with slicked back blond hair, “Names Dominick Carisi Junior, but everyone calls me Sonny.”  He said with a grin.

“You don’t happen to be from Brooklyn do you?”  Tony probed.

“As a matter of fact I do.  How did you know?”

Tony shrugged, “I’ve always been particularly good at identifying accents.”

The next and last person to introduce themselves was a blonde woman, “Detective Amanda Rollins.  Everyone calls me Amanda except for the boss when she’s angry.”  She whispered conspiratorially.

You liked her immediately.  It seemed to be a long running joke between Amanda and Olivia because the lieutenant simply raised her eyebrows and stared at the detective.

Sonny gazed around the bullpen, “Barba’s not here.  He must--”

“I would rather you didn’t speak for me when I am here and quite capable of talking for myself, Detective Carisi.” A voice cut in smoothly.

“It’s obvious that you don’t have a problem with talking.” Sonny snarked.  The other man pretended not to hear him.

“Barba,” Olivia said in a mixture of surprise and relief.  “I thought you weren’t coming in today.”

The smirk that the new arrival wore seemed a little forced to your eyes, “Yes.  Circumstances fortunately changed.”

“Sorry to hear about the death in your family.”   Sonny offered sympathetically.

Now you were certain that the smirk was forced, “Unfortunately, it was just a matter of time.  Let’s move onto other things, shall we?”

Olivia quickly introduced you to Barba and then she introduced Barba to you.  The moment when she mentioned that Rafael was an ADA that worked alongside them, you knew Gibbs’ opinion of the man took a nosedive.  And you knew why.

You shared a meaningful glance with Ziva, Tony, and McGee.  You knew you were all thinking about Rule 13.  You wondered if Bishop and Torres were doing the same thing.

“We understand that you found one of our people of interest,” Fin stated.

“Yeah.  But he wasn’t exactly in a talking mood when he was found.”

“And that is where we come in!” Abby stated energetically.

“Indeed.” Ducky agreed, “Could you please direct us to your ME’s office?”

“Of course.  I’ll take you there now,” Sonny voiced.  You noticed Abby’s fingers wiggling in excitement and just knew that it was a matter of time before she was in command of the machines in the department.

“There are other things that we need to discuss in my office.”

Gibbs stared at you all before he followed the lieutenant, “Play nice.”

Tony put on his most endearing grin, “Always do boss.”

From the look on Gibbs’ face, it was clear that he disagreed with that statement and he was choosing not to argue with it right now because the case was more important.  The door to Olivia’s office closed silently but the blinds let out a rattle as the door closed.

“I get the feeling your boss doesn’t like our ADA.”  Fin spoke up.

“It’s nothing personal,” McGee assured him.  “It’s just that the boss has a list of rules.”

Amanda frowned, “What rules could he possibly have that make him dislike Barba?”

“Rule 13.”  You, Tony, McGee, and Ziva chorused.

“Is anyone going to explain to me what that means?” Barba huffed.

McGee, Tony, and Ziva all focused on you.  You glared at them, making sure that they were well aware of your displeasure when it came to being forced to answer this question before facing Barba and preparing yourself for the inevitable explosion, “It means “Don’t involve lawyers”.”

“Isn’t that nice?  I’ll be in my office if anyone needs me.”

“Sorry about him,” Amanda apologised when she was certain he was out of earshot.  “He seems abrasive but Barba’s a good guy.  He’s passionate about what he does and he’s nearly unstoppable in court.”

“I’d be pissed off too if someone insulted my livelihood without knowing me as a person.”  Fin added.

“It’s a specific rule because we had a lawyer intercept a report from one of our team.”  Tony argued hotly.

Wanting to ensure that the collaboration between the SVU and NCIS teams continued to run smoothly, you jumped into the conversation, “There’s also Rule 51.”

“And that is?”

“Sometimes you’re wrong.”

“You might want to tell Barba about that rule if you want his continued cooperation.”  Fin advised.

“Good point.”

“Out of curiosity, how many rules are there?” Amanda asked.

“Ninety-nine.”  Torres answered.

“Ninety-nine what?” Sonny asked as he reappeared in the room.

“Of their boss’ rules.”  Amanda explained, pointing at the six of you.

“Most of us have our own rules as well.”  McGee revealed, “(Name)’s #1 is don’t piss off an expert in their field.  And yes, that includes Ducky and Abby.”

“All the more reason that I should explain the reasoning behind Rule 13 and mention Rule 51.  How do I get to Barba’s office?”

“I’d take you.”  Sonny offered, “But I think it’s better if you let Barba cool off first and have some coffee.”

i saw your post about how you wanted Poseidon to kidnap as a child and it reminded me of my ‘yandere lover awakening’. the Ncis episode called ‘the good wives club’, basic summary form my shity memory is the ncis team investigating a case where a women is chained and held captive in a small vintage inspired room and made to be a good wife or something, i mostly remember watching it as a kid and fantasizing about being held captive in a similar way far to often for it to be at all normal… i sent this because i think it’s really interesting how many people have similar experiences with odd childhood fantasies i hope you don’t mind!
