Overheard my red neck neighbor complain about all the leaves he has to clean up because "they" neglect their yard.

I'm 80% sure I am the they in this situation and I honestly, do not care. My lawn has wild flowers and a tulip bloom in the spring time. His yard looks sad and is a chemical dump of "Suburban living".

I like the leaves and let them sit.
