#@ tumblr get with it bitch #maison speaks #throwing this unrelated bit on the end bc i dont feel like making a whole other post BUT #i spent most of yesterday afternoon and evening in the emergency room after my body had some weird #kind of fit that was absolutely terrifying while i was leaving emdr. i had to text my mom to come get me bc driving wasnt safe #turned out to be a good decision bc by the time they had me sitting on a bed in er it was just.. not good #at some point i took a nap and my mom said later that it continued while i was asleep and i kept getting really close to violently #twitching my dumb ass off the bed. limb control?? yeah i've heard of her. we've had a falling out of sorts apparently #GOOD NEWS HOWEVER - its nothing really serious. they think its new medication side effects + caffeine (it was a med that could be #affected by caffeine take and nobody thought to tell me that until i felt like i was going to die?? coolcoolcool i guess #the whole thing has been put on hold until my next psych appointment at least #oh yeah!! and i'm anemic!! which i already knew but i didnt realize just how bad it was until today #my hemoglobin should be between 12 and 15 #its 8 #hematocrit should be between like 35 and 45 i think??#yeah mine is 11 #im really out here filling the role of pre-serum steve without the skinniness huh

Lmao. For someone w/ such crippling perfectionism, Bakugo absolutely hates it when you’re mean about something you made. He’ll fight and fight and fight you over it until you at the very least admit you did your best and it’s okay for him to like it in your place.

And it’s a little hard to believe him. He can’t fake a smile for shit nor lighten his voice much less... express things with any couth. YET it’s honestly very sweet the way he pouts, crosses his arms and refuses to change his stance about something very clearly... wrong. Something he very honestly wouldn’t like if he made it himself.

Snatching the lopsided crocheted hat right out of your hands, putting it on his head, and refusing to give it back. Eating a slice and a half of deflated soufflé then having leftovers the next day. Keeping the shitty (joke) birthday card you made him before you were even dating at the bottom of his bedside table dresser until the moths start to eat it (and even then).

i don't make resolutions, but if i did

it would be to finish this fic

(and to be kind to myself for however long it takes to actually do so)

#i'm finishing it if it kills me #i know i've been writing this makeout scene for 3 weeks but baby that can't last forever #if we want to get deep and dark and serious for a second i do think a lot of my struggles to write lately have to do with engagement #and how incredibly low engagement has been on the last few things i've written #which like. is what it is. i'm not entitled to anybody's time or comments or kudos.#but when you write stuff you're proud of and it feels like it's barely getting read it's hard to keep momentum.#this isn't intended as a woe is me or whatever it's just kind of like. there. hovering.#happens enough times you start to wonder if it's you. am i just writing for the wrong fandom/ship?#(too bad if so. they're in my bones i'm writing for them and no one can stop me.)#but yeah. if you ever wonder if authors do care or notice about hits. comments. kudos. buddy i am here to tell you #not only do we care and FLOURISH we also notice when those things drop off and readers vanish #and it is a giant bummer. and sometimes makes us wildly paranoid about why that might have happened.#so if you liked a fic today--not even one of mine. just. anybody's. share it. comment on it.#kudos at the VERY least (cuz frankly kudos is there to be an 'i got to the end and this was nice' feature.#so when you get 500 hits and only like 30 kudos? it feels like 470 of those people hated your work)#anyway. that got out of hand. lil' too raw lil' too honest. happens when you let yourself ramble at 11:30 instead of sleeping #to sum: let your local fic writer know if they've made you happy #and as we go into 2024 i am swearing to myself that this fic (and probably several others) are getting finished #come hell. high water. or dishearteningly low engagement numbers.#(and then maybe we...actually work on something original. cuz why not. new year same old me but i'll do my best.)

Current thoughts: Scarecrow henchman who is super into scaring people and analyzing them and chemical stuff way more than Scarecrow himself and spends so many missions abandoning whatever they were supposed to be actually doing to go harass other henchmen

Anyways they have a huge crush on Henchman 11 (riddler henchman oc) and always say stuff like “only I’m allowed to traumatize them” and thinks of their relationship as enemies with unresolved romantic/sexual tension who’d do anything to “take the other person out” in both senses, but because of their crush they’re actually super sweet to Henchman 11 and at most they just tease H11 about their fear of needles, absolutely no one thinks of those two as enemies

Henchman 11 is someone in their early 20’s who can’t fight for shit and has no where near the level of intelligence that the Riddler has (they’re a lil bit smart but they’re definitely not a genius, more average with great pattern recognition and great at bullshitting), they’ve only survived as a henchman so far because hardly anyone notices they’re there, their main job is usually breaking into abandoned warehouses beforehand to make sure there’s tv’s and computers set up so that the Riddler can taunt Batman through them

Their job wouldn’t be so tough at all if it wasn’t for that really terrifying Scarecrow henchman who seems like they want to help? But then says stuff like “I wanna hear you scream” while taunting them with needles. it just makes their job harder.

#one day I’m gonna do little ‘introducing my ocs’ posts #but it’s so tough to come up with names #and have the energy to draw #but especially the fycking names #henchman 11 is the only one I have picked out because it’s a joke on ‘Elle Vaughn’#a fake name they go by #anyways they bounced around a lot of villains before settling in as one of the Riddler’s #just complains about other people bullying them cause they can’t fight and the Riddler picked them up by the back of their neck #and was like this one is mine now hell yeah bullies suck #Batman #the riddler #scarecrow #those two are more just mentioned since this is a post about my ocs #I love these two specific ones but I’m so bad at coming up with names 😭#calling the other one ‘Nightmare’ is just stupid right?#I feel like that might have already been used anyways I gotta check at some point #I think I mentioned henchman 11 before #I always change around their story a bit but they always end up a riddler henchman #batman ocs

Bea had told him before that Henry sometimes gets into these moods, where he vanishes into his mind for hours or days, not talking, barely eating, hardly existing. She’s asked him, way before the whole shitshow with the leak of the e-mails happened, whether he would stay with her brother during those times, too, whether he would love those moods exactly like he loves the other parts of Henry.
