Yeehawgust Day 13: Yee-caw!
Just a quick little Kenku cowboy gunslinger. 🐦‍⬛
Currently learning Procreate and hopefully I’ll get the hang of it if I do some more prompts with it. I’ll go back and pick up the prompts I missed eventually, I’m very excited about Wicked Horns!

Was this the right thing to do?
Shepherd Book sat in the shade of an old oak tree, idly watching the other brothers tending to the great garden.
Was leaving the Abbey the right thing to do? And even if it wasn't, what other choice did he have? If he stayed bad thing would happen. Of that, he was certain.
He sighed and pulled out his old and battered Bible, reverently tracing the faded gold lettering. His rough skin caught on the broken leather, the fraying ribbon fluttering weakly in the wind.
'Send me a sign,' he thought and glanced up at the leafy canopy. 'If this is the right thing to do, send me a sign...'
A flutter of wings nearby brought Book out of his reverie.
Two crows were playing near the base of the tree, chasing each other through the exposed roots.
The Shepherd smiled.
Pocketing his Bible, he stood and took one last look at the garden. Shaking his head, he slowly started to walk back to the Abbey, feeling lighter than he had done in a long time. An old nursery rhyme his mother had taught him years ago came back and Book quietly hummed it under his breath, savoring the sunshine for the last time.
"One for sorrow, two for joy..."

The fun thing about weird settings is that I can just go ham on the characters. They hate each other <3

Every year there’re prompts focused on nature, and starting today Yeehawgust sets out on adventure in the great outdoors, with the weekly prompt Flora and Fauna.
Starting the week off is the spiritual successor to the Meowdy prompt from last year: Yee-caw! The talons are out, let’s fly, pardner!

Yeehawgust Day 13 - Yee-caw!
Corvies (or Corvys, or Corvis, etc) are similar to the Crows that used to be native to the region, but like many of the local flora and fauna have developed unique mutations over time thanks to constant exposure to radiation. The green color of their beaks and talons are a fairly common feature in animals these days, and remind some historians of the uranium glass that was popular once upon a time.
