izuku really tries for you :((((( he tears up, inside his heart breaks a lil bit seeing you so happy with the stuffie, but he doesn’t want you to see him being upset. he pretends to be excited for you, but the smile doesn’t really reach his eyes. he knows it’s unreasonable to be mad at a pile of fluff and fabric… but… he js wants to be your favourite again 🥺

“y/n! …oh, you’re busy cuddling with the bear? …i guess i’ll just go over there then…”

bakugo absolutely loses it. you have no idea why he’s so pissy today, did you do something wrong? when class ends, he doesn’t wait for you to get your stuff like usual, and he doesn’t sit with you at lunch… it stings a lot bit more than you think, you feel so alone. ending up in tears, you call him sobbing, telling him you’re sorry for what you did wrong :( he comes barging into your room five seconds later and crouches over you, wiping a stray tear dripping down your face.

“listen dumbass, i’m… sorry. no, you didn’t do anything wrong. here, i got you your favourite chocolate so you’d stop your whining.”

todoroki’s confused. who gave you this giant bear? why didn’t they give it to you themselves? and most importantly, why does he feel his heart twist? he decides he doesn’t like this feeling. he tells himself it’s illogical to be jealous of an inanimate object, but after class, he takes you to the nearest plushie store and tells you to pick out whatever you want. or better yet, why not just buy the entire store? 

“hmm? what do you mean i’m insane? of course i can afford it, would i offer it if i couldn’t?” yes

kirishima is genuinely happy for you. of course you’d get a stuffie, he thinks you’re amazing and that you totally deserve it! he even hypes you up, telling you that you’re super manly n his favourite person. when you open up your locker after lunch, you’ll find a chibi crimson riot plushie and a polaroid camera photo of you and him during the sports festival 💗

“that bear is super cute! just like you <3”

kaminari hates it. he hates your attention not being on him, he hates that you hug the bear but not him. so what does he do? he tries to gaslight you into throwing it out 💀💀 throwing shade at the bear, getting offended when you defend it, and being all pouty when you huff at him. he squats in a corner, pursing his lips together, mumbling under his breath about how he’ll zap the bear in the balls later 🤩.

“stupid bear… who do you think you are, taking all of y/n’s attention?”

shinsou looks like he couldn’t care less, and for a while, he doesn’t. but when you start to no longer take naps with him because now you have a cuddle buddy, that’s when he has a problem. he physically snatches the bear off his delicately placed spot and tosses it carelessly on the ground. he wiggles onto your bed next to you, taking the place of the bear who was there seconds ago. he swipes the drool off the corner of your mouth before joining you in slumber.

“why the bear is on the ground? it must have fell off.”

tamaki is insecure of it. do you like it better than him? why do you call it your new best friend? have you replaced him? you clearly notice when he starts to get distant, but you can’t figure out why. is it because you’ve been spending more time with nejire? that must be it! when you apologize to him for accidentally ignoring him for your friend, he sighs in relief. at least you still want to be his friend and maybe more

“i-it’s really no big deal. i get it if you like nejire better than me. wait… nejire?” 

dabi doesn’t give a shit. i mean, he’s confident that you won’t leave him because you both have unresolved feelings for each other, but that doesn’t stop him from burning poor teddy into a crisp :( don’t worry though, he’ll just ‘buy’ you another one! he doesn’t mind another late night run with you, especially if it makes you happy. 

“hah? those ashes are from… my cigarettes. maybe shiggy or toga has your plushie.”

hawks juts his lips into a pretty pout. he’d make a really good stuffie too, y’know… if only you’d notice his feelings for you. but on another note, he leaves hints that he just released a new line of hawks chibi plushie, and he just happens to have a couple extra… pouts further when you suggest that he should hand them out to fans next time he’s at an event.

The man was pointing a gun at your boyfriend, and you saw red.

Nothing else in the world mattered as you charged towards him at full speed. The only thought on your mind was that you had to save Tangerine. No matter what.

Just as he was about to pull the trigger, you tackled him sideways, making him lose his balance and fire the gun, but it missed its original intended target of your boyfriends head.

Still, it grazed him in the side, but he would be fine. You both knew he had lived through much worse and this was merely a scratch compared to all those things.

Quickly, you delivered one swift kick to the man’s head, effectively knocking him out, and you barely even registered a young girl you didn’t know take off down and out of the cart.

Immediately, you dropped down to your boyfriends side, ignoring his spewing of curses, and began to examine his wound.

Sighing softly in relief, you ripped off part of your lower pants and used it to apply pressure to the graze, “You’ll be fine,” You reassured him, “We’ll just get it bandaged after we get off of this goddamned train.”

He groaned, shifting his body so that he was leaning upright against the wall and he slowly opened his eyes to look up at you.

“Hey there, love,” He greeted casually, “How’s it going?”

You rolled your eyes, “You need to stop making light of these kinds of situations.” You scolded.

“What kinds of situations?” He leaned his head teasingly to the side.

“The ones where you almost died.” You hummed.

“Oh, I see. I’ll just sit here cryin’ about how I almost got my fuckin’ brains blown out. Is that what you want, eh?” There was a playfulness in his tone that you had the privilege of knowing that he only used with you.

You hummed mockingly, “Yeah, that’s it.”

The two of you fell silent, you tending to his wound and him studying your every move with a look of adoration that could easily make your heart melt into a puddle of goo.

“Hey, love?”

“Yeah?” You were looking at what you were doing, not up at him.

“Look up at me for a second?” He requested politely.

You did just that, eyes widening and heart stopping at what you saw.

It was a ring. He was holding a ring.

“Yes,” Tears of joy had begun to fill your eyes and leak down your face, “Yes, yes, yes. God, yes, of course I’ll marry you.”

Tangerine grinned wider than you had ever seen him and he barely had time to slip the ring on your finger before you had thrown yourself at him, kissing him hard and throwing your arms around his neck. Yet, still careful of his injury.

Candles. Several of them, actually, adorned around your room—your dresser, your nightstand, a few small ones on the bookshelf.

Rose petals. Those were the first thing you felt instead of the hardwood floor as you stood up from bed. A trail of them leading you into the hallway, where several more candles were lit.

Quickly getting out of your sleepy daze, you followed the trail of flames and petals to the kitchen, where you were welcomed by Mickey, already dressed in the nicely fitting t-shirt and jeans that you loved on him, and cooking up his special chocolate chip and strawberry pancakes. Your favorite mug—a custom design you got with ‘you're it for me’ written in his handwriting, a note from when he asked you to be his girlfriend—was steaming with freshly brewed coffee, sitting on the middle of the counter.

He turned as he heard the mug being dragged from the middle of the counter. “G’morning, mi amor,” he greeted as you walked up to him. He handed you a forkful of pancakes as he kissed your lips, cheek, and forehead. “And happy first Valentine’s Day to us!”

Your eyebrows crinkled in confusion as you glanced at the calendar. “Good morning to you, too, babe. But Valentine’s isn’t for another week,” you mused after you swallowed the bite and drizzled more syrup.

“That’s true,” he laughed, “but I figured that since I ship out in a few days…” He bit his lower lip slightly, the way he always does when he’s nervous.

That was all you needed to know.

Hello! It's Winter. I know it's not Valentine's Day yet, but I wanted to share this short piece I wrote. Enjoy!

A Special Gift

“Manu, why did you bring us here?” Tiphaine asked, confused as to why their stepfather asked her and her sister to meet him at a high-end jewelry store on a Sunday afternoon. 

Emmanuel grinned at his two daughters. “I need your girl's help. I want to buy your mother something very special for Valentine’s Day” 

The sisters ooohhh and awwwed at each other. They had the most romantic and charming stepdad. Money was no issue when it came to spoiling his wife. Lavishing Brigitte with expensive gifts was something he enjoyed doing, even if she said it was the thought that counts.

“Maman has a lot of precious pieces so how about something more personal?” Laurence suggested. “Oh! I know! I know! How about a ring with your birthstones!?”  

Emmanuel nodded with approval. He knew he made the right choice by asking his daughters for help. They had speculator taste - just like their mother. 

“I got it!” Tiphaine slapped his arm. “How about a ring engraved with your initials -  E & B?” 

“Or a charm bracelet with your zodiac signs” Laurence added “Sagittarius & Aries” 

Emmanuel loved all the ideas Tiphaine and Laurence were suggesting. Unfortunately, after talking to the girls and the sales clerk, he left empty-handed. 

“I’ll come up with something” He promised them. After kissing both of their cheeks, he promptly travelled home. He didn’t want to raise suspicion with Brigitte. Glancing down at his watch, he realized he had been out of the house for 2 hours. Luckily, Sebastian was keeping her busy (another one of Emmanuel’s plans). 

Finally, the time had come for him to pick up the gift at the jewelry store. Two weeks ago, Emmanuel had come up with an idea on his own. He got busy drawing a mock-up of how he wanted the special piece to look. Once he was satisfied, he took his sketch to the jewelry store. He was assured his design was feasible.

The jeweller returned from the backroom holding a red velvet box. 

“Mr. Macron, would you like to see the piece before I wrap it up?” The woman asked. 

“Yes! Please” He was ready to see how the necklace he designed turned out. 

Seeing his creation come to fruition took his breath away. “It’s amazing. Thank you! Thank you!” Inside a gold heart were the letters: B, E, S, L, T 

“If you don’t mind me asking, Sir, what does it stand for?” The jeweller asked. “It’s not a real word, is it?” 

“The B is for my wife. I’m the E. And the S, L and T are our three children’s initials” Emmanuel beamed with pride. “You met my beautiful daughters. I brought them with me two weeks ago” 

“Wow, that’s a very thoughtful gift. Your wife is a lucky lady.” 

“I’m the lucky one”

and about my fanfics, hmm is it fine to say i love writing smut a lot? 😭😭 the thing is i really like incorporating lots of characterization in a smut piece, making it just slightly more realistic and hopefully a little genuine. and i’ve gotten some of comments complimenting that about my writing so i think i do a pretty good job at it!! when i’m not writing smut though, i tend to gravitate towards multichaps because i love building characters and their interpersonal relationships. my stuff usually ends up more detailed than i planned them to be but i do love seeing the end result of my work.

and yes i really love miniature pieces actually!! i bought a mini lego thing a while back and i keep it as a little decor thing for my desk!!! it’s so cute. i really hope i can get more into it in the future

hehe, thank you so much. absolutely -- like, horror, fantasy, romance and contemporary can all have immensely different ways of representing the same theme, like family dynamics, for example. so, I mostly write contemporary, but I really wanna get more into writing horror and historical. during quarantine, I had started this sapphic historical romance story, and I got so far into it, but haven't worked on it in forever 😭

hehe, more than okay! stop omg smut with characterization and fleshed out characters and/or situations is seriously the best. like, when I read it and get invested in the characters, it makes their sexual tension even more exciting. I remember I read this sapphic princess-and-general story, and because it was a longer piece and also had characterization, the smut was so, so, so exciting to read, and I felt so invested in their tension asdfghjkl. omg, if you'd ever be down to show me, I'd love to read your writing, I love how much care you have for character development and details. like, stories that ate character and relationship driven, along with carrying so much nuance and detail, are so beautiful to read, so I think it's so wonderful that you write in that style
