i am extremely disconnected and out of all loops, so I only recently (today) found out about the existence of "WaterTok" and if my use of scare quotes doesn't tell you how old and out of touch I am? well.

I know this mess has been mocked into the ground already but I still find this hilarious because I am someone who unironically totes around a COMEDICALLY LORGE PASTEL PURPLE HALF-GALLON METAL JUG covered in lefty stickers and when I drink out of it I look like a ridiculous 6-ft-tall adult baby

While some lampreys turn to a parasitic lifestyle as adults, drilling into the sides of bigger animals to feed on their flesh and blood, lamprey larvae, ammocoetes, are actually filter feeders! The lamprey larva life stage can last up to a decade, and they spend their time being half-buried in sandy substrate, consuming whatever tiny organic particles float to them. Ammocoetes' feeding rate is the slowest of any suspension-feeding animal, and due to this they require a habitat very rich in nutrients.

Y'all are gonna think I'm so weird.

But I'm running with this idea I've had for a while for my mcl ocs. Well, other than the actual other mcl ocs I've made.

It's part lazy, part bizarre.

Clones.

Yep, clones.

My MCL NG oc is a clone of the original Puku, but different. I haven't figured out the details yet, but it's like what I did with Pukun, Puku's male clone. It has the idea of a type of clone theory idea of nature vs nurture. The DNA and nature of the puku clones is the same, but the nurture is always a bit different depending on circumstances. Puku "prime" is the parent of all the clones made, but Puku "prime" had a different parentage and upbringing than the clones. Not to mention, the events of each mcl game has different outcomes for clone Puku.

This Puku has -teal- hair and is a zoomer, I guess. Raised by Puku "prime" and has the existential grappling of dealing with being a clone in general.

There's... still a lot of ironing out to do. Like... Where does Kentin fit into all this? How should I incorporate the family given to Puku 2.0 in New Generation?

Why am I giving this plot to an MCL OC!??

Then she'll be dropped off at the door step of the #family in NG with the instructions that she needs them to be her new family #yeah it's perfect!#just... so many of those gen z starter packs that I seen around #like minecraff and fortnite and the wii... yeah it's perfect #i need to remember how much aging happens in one year that I must have decided at one point. like a dog.#i think it was 1 year = about 4 years of growth but I can't member rn #but as per usual that growth cycle only goes on until reaching the age of the dna sampled. then it goes back to normal puku dna human growt #so actually 1 year of zoomer childhood programming #wait... the plot holes... are still.. Sometimes I wonder why cold symptoms always get worse in the evenings there has to be a logical explanation for that

Okay I've been thinking about the lil cute therian fic I've been writing, and I think I know how I wanna end it and it's like. Very much self indulgent not really accurate to the mechanisms canon and way too cute but the thing is I can do whatever I want forever so I think Im gonna do it (I'm only like idk 1/3 done tho so don't get too excited fjdnfjndn)

#okay like im gonna spoil it in tags #this is my warning there will be nothing else in the tags #so basically in the fic youre a dog that got kidnapped by the mechs with a bunch of your coworkers #a heist just for fun and to kill some random people out of boredom #but you survive on the ship bc you hide #but then Tim finds you and at first jonny tells him to kill you like the rest #but tim is like. hold on. that person is not a human i dont think. i don't wanna kill an animal #and jonny is like this is stupid. but whatever. were gonna put it back on earth were not keeping it timothy #and thats pretty much all i have for now #but then you just kinda. hang around on the aurora while youre going back to earth and you meet a few of the other mechs #they all have different reactions to you but in the end everyone somewhat accepts that youre a dog #and i wasnt sure how to end it #one option was to just go back home and be done with this silly little adventure and go back to living a normal life as a person #but youre happy you finally met some people that accept you for what you are even if for a moment #the other option would be to stay on the ship kind of as a pet #but that felt a bit off to me because youre not a literal dog youre a human that is a dog yknow. and that feels a bit too. idk weird #but i think i got the solution #what if. you get mechanized #and your human body is replaced with an anthro dog. so you can still be a thinking person you were but with a body that makes sense #like kind of like a permanent fursuit but more metal #and yeah that doesnt make much sense in the mechs canon like thats too nice of them and ill have to think of a good reason for that #but wouldnt that be just. so cute #like thats honestly the dream #i love robots and i am a dog so. if i could get mechanized to be a steel furry id agree right away like not even think about it #kind of like in that one love robots and death episodes with the kitsune #that scene where she transforms into a robot fox is my favorite in the whole ep i think and it honestly gives me species euphoria #so yeah i think im gonna ignore canon for that one but and give the reader/mc a sweet happy ending #and now youre a doggy pirate in space surrounded by people who are okay with that!!! isnt that the best #therian #bee buzz

I spill some because my hands can have problems with stability

My cat: *licks the stuff up like a kid who just discovered what powdered sugar was*

Me: “is this flavored?”

My cat: begs me for more powder and momentarily forgets his food

Me: “this has to be flavored”

#emma posts #sometimes him getting excited about new flavors for kitties is good #but other times his love of flavor exploration will lead him to eating a food he’s allergic to #and I can’t figure out what he’s reacting to right away because he just keeps eating the thing that makes his tummy hurt #at least I stop using things I realize cause allergic reactions #you’d think a little guy who doesn’t even know what allergies are would be even more off put by them #he’s so finicky about so many random things! but he loves new foods. especially more expensive ones. and that food was more expensive #this time he is getting a food for upset hairball tummies and has been enjoying it more than his old stuff too #I just hope that him traveling back and forth between his old food at my parents house and new food here causes problems #his old man tummy is getting more sensitive than it used to be and he’s getting a different food now… hopefully. and vitamins while he gets #these probiotics to hopefully make the change easier. I don’t want to jinx it but so far it seems to be really helpful #he hasn’t even gotten one hairball since starting the hairball food! and he loves his new vitamin treats #hopefully he’ll keep doing well with the old kitty vitamin treats #I want him to get his old man vitamins #even if he’s super healthy for his age. it’s good not to get worse!#i would know. as someone who dealt with not eating enough from medication side effects #I’m better now though! I switched meds and take more vitamins just in case #anyway. eating food is important for humans and kitties if you can get it it’s important!#and if your cat doesn’t get or absorb enough food they could get permanent damage to their bodies. never let your cat go more than three #days without food! try to make sure that they eat at least every 12 hours #they might not need as much food as you. but they can get a lot sicker a lot faster than humans usually do #I can ramble on and on about cat health though 😅 I just love my little guy so much #combo of better food formulated for hairballs and not giving him an allergic reaction with the probiotics too seems to be helping a lot #i knew cheap food wasn’t usually quite as good as the slightly more expensive stuff but holy shit. since moving out and now switching food #it’s been going so well for him! maybe I should ask my family to change the other cats food. I just hope that an extra 9$ a bag isn’t #off putting for them. i feel like fewer hairballs should be a great selling point

I just think that many people who design feminine characters are fking cowards, and they should make funkier designs and characters. You should make them problematic. You should make asshole women.

Also I’m so fking tired of all women looking the same, like silhouette is always vaguely hourglass shaped and traditionally hot or some shit while the guys are shaped like a fucking pineapple. I WANT INTERESTING SHAPES STOP BEING BORING.

Right? Yeahhhh #But then also thinking about how DAX especially prefers to cover one eye and then I was like #Wait. It's not uncommon for cats to have just one eye anyway - from fighting or birth defects or what have you #So just put him in a cat body like that lol #I guess it'd have to be a ''birth'' defect or else he'd have switched bodies with a cat?? No he's just a cat lol #I also thought he'd suit a cat because he's very aloof and opinionated and sometimes petty and wants attention but in subtle ways haha #He's very catlike!#It was mostly the middle minicomic idea - DAX specifically going out of his way to knock the Captain's glass off a table - that convinced me #''Oh that was yours was it oh well'' lol #It's the Garfield pipe comic all over again haha #I also thought ZEX would get something of a kick out of it - his Sub-Commander keeps turning into weird creatures!
