a medic handles with care, just as how he gently presses the cloth to your eyes

it kills him to watch you cry alone, so he takes your hand and guides you to his lap where he can give you all his undivided attention

rubs your arm while you hiccup, and places a hand on his chest so you can calm down to the feeling of his heartbeat

when you aren’t in the mindset to vent or hear him talk, he’ll hum to you. especially if you’re so tired you’re about to cry yourself to sleep

once you’ve cried it out he insists on getting you some water, a snack, and a shower (or change of clothes) to make sure the basic post-cry needs are met

“love. when i say i care for you, i mean it. i want to hear everything you have to say no matter what, and i’ll never, ever get upset at you for it.” it looks like zali’s eyes are closed, but from where your head rests in his lap, you see a hint of gold peer through his lashes. a surgeon’s hand brushes underneath your own eyes, patting away the tears. “so let me take care of you for now. breathe in and out.”

your body feels heavy from exhaustion and emotion. you curl up closer to him as you breathe. “tired, love?” when there’s no response but a nod he rubs your shoulder and clears his throat. the melodies of your favorite songs lull your to sleep.

drops everything to stay by your side when he realizes you’re this upset

he wraps you into a bear hug the second you start tearing up. he’s not great with words and he’s scared of saying the wrong thing, but actions don’t lie

he’s not gonna break the hug any time soon while you cry, but he traces shapes along your skin and strokes you hair as he holds you

he knows you’re always doing your best and supports it, and if you did anything wrong, he’ll let you know once you’re in a state to hear it, not now when you need comfort

it’s hard to hear what vanta’s saying. it’s hard to hear your sniffles, too; it’s all muffled by fabric crinkling and the sound of vanta combing back your hair as you sob, careful not to let it get caught in your mess of tears and snot. his throat vibrates against your ear while he speaks.

“no one in their right mind would say you’re overreacting.” that’s the first thing you can decipher, and the only thing you need to hear. “no matter what. and i’ll remind you any day of the week that you’re doing fine no matter how you handle it.”

your sobs are interrupted by a squeeze as vanta holds you closer. reassurance that you’re his world even if you did everything wrong. “let it all out. i’ll be here every second.”

he lets you get it all out first before he even thinks of saying anything since he doesn’t want to cut you off. instead a lot of his responses are nonverbal. he nods and squeezes your hand when you need encouragement

your breath is haggard by the time you finish spilling your guts. the storm of choked sobs has passed but now emptiness has taken its place, a hollow, dreadful feeling lodged in your throat as you hiccup. the only warmth you can feel is wilson’s jacket over your shoulders and his hand in yours.

his eyes have been closed for a while as he took in your feelings. it’s unusual seeing him so composed, but right now? it’s a welcome sight when the world feels like it’s crashing around you.

when wilson opens them again he holds you a little tighter. “thank you for trusting me,” he says slowly. “i’m not going to forget it, and i’m not going to ignore it either.

“but you don’t need to be tough all the time.” with his free hand he reaches out. his palm cups your cheek as a thumb curls around your tears, gently wiping them away. the corner of his lips curves up as he tends to you. “it’s going to work out in the end.”

OK I HAVEN'T SEEN ANYONE TALK ABOUT THIS YET SO IM GOING TO ASSUME YALL HAVEN'T SEEN IT this is from total war: 3 kingdoms and I am fucking obsessed with all their game trailers because it is 100% made by people who Get It. Favourite things:

1/ the SONG. the FUCKING SONG. ok. this is based on the poem "Hard Roads to Shu" by Tang Dynasty poet Li Bai. The road to Shu was a treacherous mountain path that once led to sichuan and it's also a HOMOPHONE for the Kingdom of Shu Han, which Liu Bei creates with blood, sweat and tears. The first verse, as Liu Bei's army prepares to face Cao Cao: "The road to Shu is hard. As hard as climbing the great blue sky." the verse that plays when Liu Bei falls: "The ground splits, mountains fall, and stout heroes die."

2/ All the citizens are running while Liu Bei and his sworn brothers are walking towards the danger. 3/ Liu Bei helps a fallen man onto his feet. later on, it is the people who do not lose faith in him as his sworn brothers + zhao yun lift him back onto his feet (zhuge liang is also there!). the man lui bei helped before is the one who gives him back his sword.

4/ SMASH CUT TO THE BATTLE OF CHIBI, WITH LUI BEI LEADING THE LAND ATTACK.

5/ ok. yknow. when Cao Cao's calvary is seconds from bearing down on Lui Bei, the dust of their hooves blotting out the sun, and the last thing lui bei does is glance behind him to look at the fleeing refugees???????????? im frothing at the fucking mouth.

5/ im so inordinately pleased with Cao Cao's single, wordless gesture commanding his men to charge. he gets like 3 seconds of screentime and it's used SO well.

6/ I just really, really, really like the overhead shots showing the battle formations ok??? im a slut for a good battle formation. (small nitpick, lui bei actually outnumbered cao cao 2-1. not that it mattered, they were still totally outmatched bc they were basically all footsoldiers. i get this is visual shorthand to show they're the underdog, but still.)

7/ *gasp!* guan yu if you're here at dangyang then who is at jiangling escorting the refugees? you know what, i'll get it slide just this once because it's just that badass.

8/ im such a slut for historically accurate battle tactics you have NO idea, like that little detail of the archers retreating behind the pikemen and see how the pikemen are all STANDING STILL, bracing their ji INTO THE GROUND and NOT CHARGING? pay attention john woo that's how you're suppose to use a polearm against calvary!!!!

9/ OMG these are crossbolt archers!!!! hell yeah!!! also has the implication that lui bei has a less skilled, run-down peasant militia

10/ zhang fei's little wink before the battle. god how do these people sum up their personalities in .5 seconds so well????? 11/ I SEE THEM. I SEE THE BOYS. THEY INCLUDED HIS BIG STUPID DUMBO EARS!!!!!!!!!!!!! 100000/10 NO FUCKING NOTES.

weekly reads (12/17)

the gentleman's gambit (#4) | evie dunmore: ★★★★☆

⤷ the last book in a league of extraordinary women series, which is about a group of victorian suffragettes who find love in their allies and specifically in the last two books, champions and activists of their own cause. so i was understandably feeling the gravity of it here. this one deals with an academic/linguist and a businessman posing as a scholar to retrieve stolen artifacts from his homeland. 

i feel like these all had the right ingredients for a well-developed romance but i think the execution of it still fell short of perfect. the main external conflict for example was riding on the heist, paired with the internal conflict of the leads overcoming their past experiences to trust in their love. however, i feel like the book was busy also being the Last Book of the series and just pulling in a lot of other threads that the resolution of the core story just feels a little unfinished.

like conceptually i understand the third act breakup (especially as a woman of color who lives in diaspora) but i don't know if it feels emotionally satisfying. and i think that could be rooted down to the fact that we learn a lot about elias and his perspective especially with regards to politics but we dont know the personal (and painful) context of his motivation besides an ill-fated love affair. what is elias risking by pursuing catriona? why is the betrayal so heavy as a man belonging to an oppressed class and as a man who's been disappointed by love before? and by asking these i mean how is the story showing us these answers rather than telling us?

for me, my political beliefs stretch over groups but they are no doubt rooted in very personal and very specific experiences. elias can say a lot about politics and the ethics of why he does what he does but as a character, where is the specificity? we spend a lot of the book with it telling us the history of his country and his people but not a lot of showing in why elias does what he does. i can see traces of it (especially in scenes of microaggressions and blatant racism) but the writing feels a little lazy in this regard by just applying a handwave-y "yknow 1800s-typical racism and xenophobia" as character motivations

if anything what we needed to learn more of was his family and his specific relationships with them besides some mentions and a few cameos from his cousin. a more cohesive way to tie external and internal conflicts from elias's side of things is to root his drive in his loyalty and perhaps complex feelings toward his family (and by extension his homeland) and have it face his burgeoning feelings for catriona (and his diasporic identity) and marry those together. hot take here but if the heist was going to conclude anticlimactically like that, it should have been placed halfway in the book. then dedicate the last half to catriona following elias back to his country and meeting his family and properly learning about them and what it means to have an interracial marriage in this time period. if we go by how the points are outlined, catriona's journey feels far more streamlined than elias's. a balance would have made the third act not feel so cut off and unearned. also we should have had two epilogues if it was going to end like that lol

but still. i have much love for this book and im sad to say goodbye to these characters. overall, my final thoughts for this series: best book overall is still probably the first one but my fave couple is the second. third and fourth book have perfect individual elements that i wish melded better with each other. which makes me think about them a little more than the first two because im always thinking about the could-have-beens. elias could have been my favorite mmc here if he was just a little more cohesive as a character

tokyo ueno station | yu miri: ★★★★★

⤷ the ghost of a homeless man reflects on his life, family, and poverty and the thin line that separates him and the most powerful man in his country. a re-read and still just as emotional as the first time. perhaps even more on a personal level since la is getting ready for the olympics, which make me reflect on how much my own streets have changed and displaced its own people. and how much more it will do so in the coming years. the final passage of the book is beautiful and agonizing. life does goes on, with or without you. for the better and for the worse.

Eddie was currently going off about how we (the dnd kids) are always getting picked on by the media. the lunch table erupted with laughter as y/n put their head down, begging for class to start so they could leave the booming cafeteria.

"y/n?" Gareth asked, putting a hand on their shoulder. Y/n looked up at him. Gareth spoke again, "were all going to practice later, and we were wondering if you could sing for us-"

"sure!" y/n chirped. Gareth was flabbergasted (i love that word so much).

"that was easier than i thought it was going to be" Eddie chimed in.

Y/n rolled their eyes at their brother before the bell rang. They picked up their bags and speed walked out of the busy cafeteria.

eddie and y/n were on their way home, "so practice will be around 6, so if i were you i would eat-" y/n tuned eddie out as they leaned their head on the window, the could glass soothing their skin.

when they got home Y/n went to their room and put on a metallica t-shirt, with a black skirt/ pair of jeans , white socks and converse.

they brushed through their hair and waited for 6.

the way to gareths house was silent besides from the music on the radio, eddie was head banging his heart out any time he could. y/n smiled seeing their brother. when they pulled up to the juniors house y/n suddenly felt their nerves. "why did i agree to do this?" thoughts ran through their head, "what if my voice cracks-"

"Y/N" eddie called out their name. caching their attention, "are you gonna get out the car or yu just gonna sit there."

Y/n composed them self, "coming!" they hollered.

"hey Y/n" Jeff called, "whatcha doin here?"

How I fell into this I don't remember now. I vaguely remember reading a crackfic of this and then everything just went sideways.

This was also the fandom that helped me realize that I wasn't exactly straight and that it's okay to not be loud about my sexuality, that I can just be.

I think that explains my attachment to this ship, not to mention just the movie's Grantaire (played by George Blagden) also shipped the characters and played his character like how he thought it should be, Grantaire loving and pining after Enjolras without the revolutionary knowing it.

Except in the fan fics, Enjolras returns his feelings and they work it out, even though it's not easy because they're both stubborn as mules. Ah, ultimate fantasy I guess. And the number of great fics here, *whistle*

Also, the Les Amis? Is amazing? Especially in the modern AUs? Like they're great friends? I love this fandom so much! Permets-tu!

C'mon, Zhu Yilong & Bai Yu's performance and emotions? Plus just the fact the fanfic writers of this ship are absolutely amazing? Please, escape from this pairing is impossible!

Best opposites attract trope for me. An academic by day, superhero by night in love with a roguish police chief who has no powers but whose charisma, wit, and heart can get him to toe to toe with the legends.

Loki x Tony Stark a.k.a. FrostIron - Avengers

How did I honestly get to this ship? I really can't remember what started it all. I think it must have been a Loki redemption fic where Tony Stark and Pepper broke up and something something happened. Let me tell you, the writers of this ship have written sagas and ballads of epic and sometimes confusing proportions, and that is why I fell deeper into the pit. I mean, they gotta give justice to two brilliant but chaotic characters, right? Angst. This ship has sooooooooo much angst.

Erwin x Levi aka Eruri - Attack on Titan / Shingeki no Kyojin

Not to be confused with Ereri, which is Eren x Levi, which I don't generally ship except for that one time when a writer wrote an epic fanfic series with Eren in his mid 20s and Levi in his late 20s/early 30s, reincarnation AU. Boy was that one a surprise. I did not expect that.

Anyway, I'm an Eruri fan through and through. Especially with that promise that Levi made to Erwin. And the reason he gave the serum to Armin. HE DIDN'T DO IT FOR THE KIDS YKNOW. HE DID IT FOR ERWIN. Plus, Levi, Erwin, and Hange are my special trio. Erwin's batch was really amazing.

Also, I really like the fact that the shorter and slighter person is the more badass fighter while the taller, bigger one is the more calculating and strategic one. Rocks the boat of stereotypes and all that. Bonus: how these two met. My god, what a meet-cute! 😂

Dani x Jamie aka The Au Pair and the Gardener - The Haunting of Bly Manor

It really is more of a love story than a ghost story. I dunno how to feel about this. I loved these two characters so much and I wished they had a better ending but I wasn't SO surprised because it was a horror series (Like, I was still hoping at the end that they'd be together forever but yknow...). In any case, Jamie was just awesome. And her nickname for Dani? Poppins?! God, what a lover and fighter. She was not afraid to cock a gun in a ghost's face.

Merlin x Arthur aka Merthur - BBC Merlin

Yeah, my brain is so chaotic multiple OTPs and BROTPs of the same pairing exist at the same time without clashing with one another or having major identity crises.

I actually really like BROTP Merlin and Arthur and also like reading OTP Merthur.

And when Merlin is paired with Morgana or Freya or sometimes even Gwaine, that's fine with me too. As long as his bromance with Arthur stays intact, because that's what drew me to the show in the first place. Personal preference. I see them as platonic soulmates.

*Shout-out to the Merthur writers though, you kept me sane during my "Post-Merlin Depression," which is actually a term thrown around in the fandom because of that horrid final season (not saying it's a good term but it's what it was called). A lot of amazing fics here, too, both Magic Reveal and Modern AU ones. Full of action and adventure too! I mean, there are boy-band-looking Knights and magic-wielding badasses!

Tim Drake x Conner Kent/Kon-El aka Red Robin x Super Boy - DC Comics

More like flexible otp. I dig Stephanie Brown and Tim Drake BUT I really really also dig Tim Drake and Conner Kent. When they're TimKon, it's like an entirely different entity from TimSteph. Ugh, hard to explain.

I mean, Kon telling Tim, "You'll always be my Robin" and Tim telling Kon, "And you'll always be my clone boy" is the shit. Also when Kon could pick out/recognize Tim's heartbeat. And when Tim nearly went mad scientist trying to bring his bestie back. Like, dudes, wtf. And at the same time, hell yeah.

Liu Kang x Kung Lao aka LiuLao - Mortal Kombat

- I see these two as more like ride or die best friends connected by fate/platonic soulmates. But also like their dynamic is so awesome, cute, sweet, badass, can't-live-without-you vibes.

Basically the same way I feel about Merthur. I like reading both romantic and platonic relationships between these two characters. Like, the LiuLao fan creators peeling off the layers of this relationship and exposing every raw nerve is beautiful.

They love diving into the characters' psyche, emotions, motivations, fears, and doubts and you get really amazed because... Aren't they just characters from a video game, you ask? Well yeah, but MK video game has several interesting storylines and the Mortal Kombat 2021 movie was just the perfect jumpstarter to this beautiful blaze.

I mean, "We swore that if we were to die, it would be together"? Hell no, you're not dropping that on us and not expecting us to create our very own spin-offs and 12-page essays on that shit. That's what we fans do, baby. And also, really, we need a shaolin monks/white lotus spin-off/prequel. We're starving here.

As this ship is the newest one on my list, it's the one I'm looking forward to the most. Not enough fan content, I tell you. Not enough. One of these days, I just might add my own.

Albert has acne prone skin ever since puberty first hit him (about the age of thirteen). It used to be all over his face, mostly his forehead, and sometimes on his neck, back, and chest. 

Some kids like to poke fun out of it, with no means to bully him but his feelings still get hurt and has made him grow up to be very insecure. Not only in his looks, but just Albert being himself in general

All his friends (the newsies) will defend him to no end. Not to say that he can’t fight, it’s just hard punching people when your head is beating yourself up too. Other occasions, his eyes gets watery a bit too quick to be able to punch a straight line.

It’s one thing when other ppl insult him. It’s a whole other ppl when parents do it. Most of his friends don’t really know abt that but Race, Spot, Hotshot, Davey, and Jack does.

He’s the only one in his family that has shown signs of having acne prone skin since an early age. His father and two older brothers doesn’t. His mother does but the symptoms didn’t start until she first got pregnant.

Albert’s mother is hell bent on tryin to clear his skin. And both his parents have indirectly called him ugly and disgusting. It always hurts Albert the most when it came from his parents. 

It has ruin his self image so bad to the point he has accepted his faith that he’ll be single forever. Until Finch Cortez happened.

Albert knew Finch since high school. By then, his skin has gotten slightly clearer but it wasn’t ‘clear’ enough. Albert can’t deny how attractive he thought Finch was when he first got a one on one interaction with him and he felt quite embarrassed bcs at the time he forgot to do his nightly skincare routine the day before which resulted in more pimples and dry skin than usual. 

Finch was charming and mysterious on the surface. But what made Albert crush on him was what’s under the surface. A caring, bold, passionate, soft, and surprising person emerged and Al was head over heels for this boy.

He could only dream of having someone like him to be his boyfriend. So naturally, in sophomore year, he was surprised when Finch asked him out on a date in the middle of a Monday. Albert tried his absolute best to make his skin appear as presentable as possible, telling Finch that he’s only free on Friday bcs he needed to make a skincare appointment the day before.

And then there was the second date, since the first one was declared as a success. Then the third, the forth, and the fifth. Albert thought he was dreaming. Their dates were sooooo cute. (if i try to elaborate it will make this longer and also requires more energy and so i decide not to) 

On the sixth, Finch was for sure he wants them to be in a committed relationship. Al was unsure because despite after six dates he still believes that his faith is to be single forever. 

After hearing his explanation, Finch explained how handsome he thought Albert was and Al pulled him into a kiss bcs no one has ever called him handsome before. (akjdfaljkfblkjsfmcjkhfjlkscghjsh) 

Since they’re in high school, they just do the ‘go with the flow’ sorta relationship. Whatever happens will happen and whatever feels right will feel right. That relationship actually continued on even after high school. (till marriage actually :))))) 

Like abt a year or so in their relationship, Albert brought Finch home for the first time. His brothers knew that Al has a boyfriend named Finch (when his brothers are home they do a lot of catching up and basically never keep secrets and all) but has never met him. His parents had no idea he has a boyfriend in the first place, or the fact that he was gay. 

So Al’s like, ‘surprise i’m gay, i’ve been dating this guy for about a year, and he’s going to eat dinner with us tonight :)’, and his parents are like, ‘oh........ okay.......’ (this was his compulsive decision to bring Finch home one day after school) 

His family likes Finch instantly. They had a peaceful dinner. Until his mom mentioned what Albert looked like in middle school and just downright embarrassing his son in front of his boyfriend. 

Al didn’t say or do anything. He just sits there, trying to ignore her reading a list of all the things Albert hates about himself. Finch noticed his silence and, in the most respectful way, defended his boyfriend. 

Finch knew about Al’s insecurity ever since that sixth date but never knew what happened at home. So now he carefully watches his boyfriend. Anytime he picks up body language that indicates he’s feeling bad about himself, he will be sure to be there to remind Albert how handsome he is.

Finch would kiss the textured parts of his skin that he hates and Albert would blush and giggle and get all soft. He reminds Albert how handsome he is. Some days Albert actually believes it himself. 

Finch loves caressing Albert’s textured skin. One of his many love languages towards the boy. There are other times when Al felt bad abt himself and didn’t like the hand touches, so Finch diverts it by intertwining their fingers. 

When Finch catches Albert staring at a mirror for too long while focusing on one of his huge pimples, Finch will remind him how handsome he is. Al would laugh, seeing Finch being all sweet while tugging on his arm and move on from the mirror.

So Finch has memorized Al’s skincare routine. Sometimes he does it with him and by the end of it all they’d be wearing Korean sheet masks in Al’s bed and watching some movies while bundled up in a blanket and cuddling. Snacks will come after the sheet masks are taken off. (yus very soft much fluff can you tell that i’m pining?)

When they’re in college, they became roommates in their college dorm. Sometimes Albert comes home too tired or too drunk to do his skincare routine so Finch does it for him. 

He earns hundreds of face kisses the next morning.

In short: Finch loves every part of Albert. In time, Al has learnt how to love himself. He’ll still continue to do his skincare routine but he’s okay with his textured skin. t h e  e n d

Impatient- restlessly eager

You trailed up and down the confines of the underground base of the Hassaikai, carelessly running your fingers along the walls while being careful to not run into Overhaul as well. It wasn’t like he’d ban you after all. You had a certain charm about you that made you too likeable towards all the people you interact with. This was why you probably landed Hojo but also why his boss allowed you to visit him so often while working. No one seemed to say anything bad to you because they all had a good opinion of you. Perhaps it was a quirk (or maybe its just y/n fanfic ability yknow). This being said, yet and still you didn’t feel like hearing a long-winded lecture from Overhaul about why the walls had filth and why you shouldn’t be touching them so carelessly.

You sighed in bordem before heading west in search of Hojo. When you found him you immediately went to annoy the shit out of him. 

It was your favorite past time after all.

“C’mon Y/N, I know it’s you so just cut the shit already.” He groaned in annoyance while you used your fingers to pretend to walk across his head. “It’s bald as hell. It’s like the moon without craters or a milk dud that someone sucked all the chocolate off of.” You teased him and he sighed. Hojo stood up and quickly towered over you (unless you’re tall af, then disregard this reader), enclosing you between his arms after placing both palms on either side of you on the wall. You simply smirked at him unbothered and he shook his head. “Why do you gotta be so damn annoying all the time, huh?” You knew he was annoyed but not upset. Despite being so well-received by those around you, you were still a nuisance sometimes. A menace to society but he loved it. “Cut the shit and go sit over there in the corner until I’m done will yah?” He moved away from you and dropped down to the floor to finish the repairs on the vent he was working on. You darted your tongue out to his turned back and flipped him off with double fingers before turning to sit in the chair across the room from him. After a while of mindlessly scrolling on your phone and rereading the same page of a book over and over again, you could feel yourself almost melting away from the bordem of it all. There was literally nothing else to do but to fuck with him. Usually when you were here, it wasn’t so boring. Sometimes he would even allow you to help with business to which Overhaul was keen on allowing the extra hands working for free as well. But today was just one of those dead days you suppose.

You were plotting on the next way you could pull him from his work until you noticed your eyes getting drawn more and more to his upper back. The direction of your appeal dramatically shifted when he stood up to take off his shirt for a moment. He kneeled back down and started working again while you started to drink in the sight in front of you. Muscles clenching while a thin veil of sweat began to appear, no doubt from the work. His cologne was wafting its way through the room and the nail in the coffin was the way he grunted when he finally got a bolt unscrewed from it’s spot. “Damn thing...” Hojo grumbled as he worked away. Now it was too much for you so you found a way to get his attention in the most annoying way possible. You started slipping off clothes. By the time you finished, he peeked back at you to see why you were so quiet. His eyes caught your form to check that you were still sitting there. Then he turned back to his work before swiftly turning back around and staring. He dropped his tools and immediately scooped up your clothes with one arm and pulled you gently yet firmly with his other. 

Hojo lead you quickly to a utility closet and glared at you. “ Y/N have you lost your mind! Put these back on right now!” He whisper yelled. You laughed quietly and began tracing his broad chest with a single fingers. “Oh? Why should I? You took your shirt off so I figured it must be a party.” You teased him and he groaned. “Stop fucking around before someone catc-” His words got stuck in his throat when he noticed your knee had travelled up his leg and was resting comfortably against his junk. You pressed into him for good measure and his fists clenched. “Hojo?” You gazed up at him with a type of false innocence. In all honesty it was insulting that you were trying to pretend to be a sweetheart right now when you were literally making him hot and bothered.

At work of all places, nonetheless!

It was hard to trace exactly where things shifted, but now you were bent over in the cramped closet while he was slowly pushing in and out of you. The space warranted just enough for him to pound you but this was just his way of torture for you behavior. “H-hojo please...” He smirked at just how compliant you’ve become to behave when cumming was on the line of it all. “Oh now you want to be good for me? I don’t think that’s gonna fly with the way you acted today.” It was his turn to tease as he slowly slid into you all the way until your hips met. His grip on your ass was firm, and he leaned down every so slightly to nibble at your neck just the way you liked it, before he pulled back slowly and repeated the process. “Hojo...please I can’t~” He ignored your plea and kept the pace strict, relishing in the way you shivered and begged for him. Hojo was considering fucking you harder when suddenly the door swung open. Poor Irinaka was just looking for the damn mop but instead he caught an eyeful. “Look you two, as much as I enjoy the free show in front of me could yah please get a fucking room, ugh!” He groaned and rushed out of the room leaving you two to scatter and get yourselves together. You were lucky it was Mimic that found you instead of Nemoto. Surely he would’ve snitched to the boss immediately lol.

“Where do you think you’re going huh?” Hojo grabbed your arm on the way out of the room. You were heading to get something to munch on when he met your eyes with the most lust you’d seen him carrying in a while. “I just want you to know I get off in about 30 minutes. When we get home, I’ve got a real situation in store for you~”

the chaotic energy is strong as fuck with this one LOL i swear, whenever i talk to cal, i smile and she makes me laugh all the time. when we first talked, tbh i didn’t know what to expect and ngl i thought she ignored me on purpose because we were talking and she suddenly stopped replying for like a couple of weeks and i was like ... did i say something wrong (it turned out to be dumblr’s fault so). I was super intimidated by her but honestly, we’re really just the same level of clown and i think another thing that ‘shocked’ me was the amount of things we had in common. like dude, we can talk about EVERYTHING. literally everything. i tell her most stuff and even sensitive topics, we are able to talk it out and respect each others opinions without judgement. I don’t feel like im walking around eggshells around her now and im rly comfortable with her which is funny bc when we first started out i was kinda scared of her lol

there’s just so many good things about nabi that i’ve discovered, i don’t even know how to start. so when i first started talking to nabi, i don’t think i realised how deep of a friendship would blossom from our first conversation. i don't think i realised just how much i would come to see nabi as someone i can rely on and like trust my secrets with. when i say tumblr’s my support system, nabi is really one of main reasons. she really helped me through my toughest time in college and for that, i’m just so extremely grateful to her? i always prided myself to solve my own problems without asking for help but i think i first found someone i can be vulnerable around in nabi. she’s the first person i really talked to about how shitty uni is even tho i wanted to try my best to look like im doing ok. i guess i’m just ‘shocked’ at how much i feel like i can tell you stuff without feeling insecure.

ok, yu is another big sister to me but more of the big sister who’s quiet, shy and just so fun to tease because she’s so cute with her reactions. like everyone else, i was also a little afraid of yu at first and i didn’t rly know what to say or do around her. i used to think she’s like the ice queen type but i guess the shock came in when i found that she’s actually quite soft? like ice queen who? not yu, for sure. she’s so incredibly full of wisdom and if i turn to dana and nabi for advice, i turn to yu for philosophical nuggets of wisdom.

i’ve 100% mentioned this before but i’m mentioning it again. my first impression of anie is someone who is just so sweet, so kind and just extremely soft (she still is btw but hear me out). like i rmb when she first talked to me on kkt and talked to me discord when i felt so invisible, i was just so grateful to her and i was like she’s so nice omg >< i must say i didn’t expect her to have such a fiery, fiesty side? it’s like looking at an angel with that delightful streak of mischief and darkness in them. she’s super vocal about what she likes and doesn’t and is extremely outspoken about what is right even if it means she might have to bear the consequences for it. i think that’s something about her that makes me like woah omg i like her even more now. you get?

i first met ley when i joined her neo summer collab ( which was also my very first collab ^^ ). i rmb i was just like kinda intimidated by her because she just seemed so cool and like yknow ‘up there’? unreachable in a way? i was relatively new to writeblr tumblr then so i mostly kept to myself and didn’t dare to like say anything for fear that i’d unknowingly say something wrong. though, when i actually started talking to ley, i realised that she’s actually really soft and kind? i think in my mind, i was just so caught up with the idea of accidentally offending people that i never gave a chance to people before placing them in that box you know? like oh idk i might not approach them bc im scared. but talking to ley kind of dashed that and i rmb being like so awestruck and happy when she told me she would feature me in one of her fics because that had to be one of the kindest thing anyone has ever done to me. i guess the ‘shock’ here is that i didn’t expect her to be so sweet and receptive to a peasant like me lmao
