Been enjoying the ProZDPlaysGames playthrough of VLR. I like to think Zero III is the one calling everyone dumb dumbs whenever there's an announcement.

Virtue’s Last Reward is easy to think of jokes for. I don’t understand it either.

In "Less Than Zero," Robert Downey Jr. and I both decided that our two guys had been lovers at one point. It wasn't referred to at all, but that was the one choice made in that film that I ended up being pleased with, because it informed everything that happened. There's a certain understanding between two people who've been lovers, that's not there in two people who haven't.

Jegulus wedding where Barty objects specifically so he can propose to Evan. while Regulus and James are at the altar.

Barty did this out of spite. 5yrs ago Regulus told Barty he'd object at his wedding to save Evan from the hell that would be marrying Barty (Barty stole the last cup of coffee that morning)

Regulus and James are not impressed. Regulus just wanted to marry James without anything going wrong. James' romantic side isn't winning over the part that's incredibly pissed that they ruined his beautiful perfectly planned wedding

Evan thinks it's the funniest thing Barty has ever done.

Sirius is horrified that they would ruin the wedding between his brother and best friend. He gets in a fight with them.

Dorcas remembers the coffee incident and is considering forcing Regulus to stop drinking coffee.

Remus is crawling out of his skin from secondhand embarrassment.

There are many things that fascinate me about Dave as a character and all he represents, but one thing in particular that I've been musing on is how the conflict between he and Maddie was pretty much unavoidable given the circumstances.

Because the thing is, Maddie's worldview is shaped by incredible amounts of pain and grief that've all twisted up inside her and made her terrified of loss and eternity. But Dave? He was sheltered from all that pain. He never experienced grief, because people like David and Caspian died before he could ever meet them. He got to grow up with a much kinder life than his mother did, which was a good thing and probably what Maddie wanted for him, but that meant that he would never really understand her.

And yet, he did grow up to have the same fear of being left behind as his mother, just different. He grew up watching everyone around him upload to a better world—his grandmother, his aunt, his friends. Scared of being left behind in a world that was growing more and more lonely and angry, he wanted to follow them. It was all so inevitable.
