Henry awoke with a splitting headache. One of his eyes was crusted shut. Something felt a little off.

Eventually, his mind ticked round to the here and now, and...

He could feel a weight across him. It was an arm, thankfully still attached to its owner.

He wasn’t quite himself though. Something was still amiss.

That was it. He remembered the events of last night, and what had happened to him.

Eventually, the headache wore off, and he worked up the energy to move.

Turning his head, he was met with a frightening sight.

A raggedy rabbit face, faded from its bright gold to an almost mossy green. One ear was broken, the top half missing, the other ear was as it should be, twitching slightly.

The arm around him was in a similar condition, riddled with holes, and red-stained around the edges.

A low, gentle, rattling whirring filled the room. Are rabbits supposed to purr?

I never talked about What if...Zombies?!

On a purely objective level, I thought the episode was pretty meh. There were parents I really liked — Chadwick Boseman as T'Challa one last time, the whole thing with Vision keeping Wanda as a zombie was SUPER fucked and I loved it — but even for the MCU, everyone was WAY too glib about all their loved ones dying and becoming zombies. Like. You are now covered in your former friend's and ally's rotting blood and body. Could you show an emotion that is not "ewwwww!"

But with that said. I am going to rank this one higher than it probably deserves on a quality level, because it gave us one thing — and that was zombie ironstrange husbands.

It's like 2 minutes of content and pretty stupid. And I loved every second of it. I think it was the first direct ironstrange content we'd gotten since Endgame, and I soaked that in like a plant coming into contact with sunlight for the first time in a decade. Fucking love these messed up little guys. I hope they're still having little zombie adventures in their awful little universe.

Electric jolts of pain shot through him as the springlocks unwound, bringing his life closer to an end, one by one. Henry felt each one of them, and tensed as each bone broke. Not a sound.

Red stained the suit, and the previously friendly face of Fredbear turned dark and grim, its one remaining eye twitching in its socket.

Eventually, the agony dulled, and his vision started to cloud. Not long now.

There was a final snap and a wet-sounding noise as some vital organ was shot through, and everything went dark.

It would be a while before he came back.
