Who are Chloe, Dianne, and Axel and Why Have They Taken Over Your Favorite Brands’ Accounts?

In the latest development that has taken the online world by storm, your favorite brands’ logos and names were replaced with hand-drawn art and children’s names overnight. Given the success of last year’s Shop2Give campaign, which has expanded across multiple Southeast Asian countries, Unilever and Lazada once again aim to invite millions of Filipinos to extend a helping hand with as simple as a click of a button. As you shop for your favorite Unilever products during this Super Brand Day on the Lazada platform, part of th proceeds from the sale will be donated to UNICEF. And although the online shopping event will be held on August 20 with an accompanying Facebook Live event, you can begin filling your cart with your Unilever staples as early as August 16.

For 24 whole hours, Unilever will also give Lazada a fun and adorable makeover, transforming the interface of this online shopping giant into what looks like a kid's art gallery. All participating Unilever product photos will be replaced by hand-drawn renditions of the product while product names will be changed to children’s names.

As an added treat, shoppers can cop the following deals:

Living My Best Me! 💫

Being healthy, inside and out.

Who says resolutions can only be made during the first month of the year right? Living a healthy life is a conscious effort, and I realized that I don't need to wait for another 8 or 10 months for me to start doing a habit that'll benefit me in the long run. And these habits don't necessarily mean that they should be these big scary commitments. Here are a few simple daily habits I incorporated into my lifestyle, with the help of Watsons.

1. Drinking vitamins. If you aren't able to go to the grocery all the time and prep yourself a nutritious meal of veggies, then I suggest you intake vitamins daily. They are a good way to invest on your health and help prevent you from getting sick! Nowadays, I'm currently taking Poten-cee Vitamin C and Enervon Multivitamins.

Turning 25, Adulting and Avoiding a quarter-life crisis 💫

There comes a point when a girl stops being a little less "excited" about her birthdays, because it usually brings up her age, which meant she's getting ~older~. For me, it was 22. After the year that iconically has a right-of-passage-song attached to it (if you've been living under a rock, Google Taylor Swift's 22), I feel like my age has stopped and I'm forever22, and I'm no longer aging LOL Now that I'm 25 this May 25, I wanted to share my thoughts about how I'm currently handling adulting and how I'm trying to avoid a quarter-life crisis, in the best possible way I could think of, by doing a fun shoot of course! 💁🏻‍♀️️

I could still remember, when I was 7 years old, I said to my mom that I couldn't wait to turn 20 and already be a young adult. She replied to me with a sigh, "wag kang nagmamadali anak, you won't notice how fast time will pass by." At that time, I didn't understand how that could be pagmamadali, as in my mind, turning 20 was like so so so so long from where I was before. But, come my 18th birthday, I had a traditional debut celebration here in the Philippines, 18 roses and all, that's when I realized what mom had said. That's when life was starting to shift gears and pick up the pace a lil bit faster.

18 was the year I decided to shift courses. From BS Applied Physics, I decided I wanted to do something else in my life. I just couldn't see myself in that path. A little back story - I only took up Applied Physics cuz it was a premed course in UP Manila, and I had an inclination to medicine, but again, I just couldn't imagine myself in that path anymore. I was always inclined to the arts. But I wanted a course that would challenge me (ohh and challenge me it did!) in terms of it not only being purely arts. I wanted it to have math and science too. That's why I chose BS Architecture!🌃

Okay, fast forward, I successfully shifted to UP Diliman, but there was a little bump in the road... Actually, it wasn't little. It felt like a big mountain that I had to hike over! Even though I passed all of my subjects from my first two years in Applied Physics, I had to go back to first year since Archi semesters required to have 1 Design class per semester, and they didn't allow them to have 2 or more in each sem! I WAS SHOOKT I TELL YA!! 😱Going in, I thought I could take all of these archi subjects together, but imagine my surprise during the general assemble when the College Secretary was explaining this. WHY wasn't this explained to us when we were shifting???

Come December of my first year in Archi, that's when I first started to feel it. The heavy feeling of being "late" in life. I know, it may seem OA for some, but really, it was so hard! You see your HS batchmates start to post grad pics of themselves (DLSU peeps have 3 year courses, and technically this is my 3rd year in college, so that's why they're already posting grad pics) and you're here, restarting your 1st year, one can't help to feel a little miserable (add to the fact that you're still finding yourself amidst the design insecurities that one might have, as expected of any art course!)

Fast forward again to third year aka hell year, and then fifth year which was thesis year, both years were difficult, the latter being the toughest! But I managed to graduate with flying colors and even bag a latin honor 💁🏻‍♀️

It was the start of a new chapter for me. Sure, it may have taken more pages compared to others, but I wouldn't tear off any page from those added 2 years in my life. If it weren't for those years, I wouldn't have met the people that are close to me right now, I wouldnt have experienced all of the fun things I enjoyed in college with them, and as cliche as it may sound, those years gave me character building.

Adulting is a whole 'nother level from college guys. In fact, I can't say that I'm already 100% adulting. I'm still under the gracious house of my parents, so I don't have to pay my own rent, electricity and water. But it's the start of making a conscious effort of trying to make ends meet.

As a fresh grad of Architecture in the Philippines, I'm so mad at our industry. I know not everybody knows this but, architects are already so under appreciated in our country, imagine how they treat those who haven't had their boards yet? (archi grads are required to take 2 years of ~working experience~ before being able to take the boards) It's a sad pill to swallow, but we have to keep moving forward. One step at a time. I'm currently taking it one day at a time and keeping my eye on my next target, which is the boards gahhhh it gives me so much anxiety thinking about it! 😭😅😂

With all of these things, come turning 25, you'd start to think about exactly where your life is going... is this the right path? Am I on time? Can I save enough money to buy my own house by the time that I turn 30? Will I have enough savings for my future wedding?? CHZ 😂 And if you really delve into these questions, you'd start to have what we millennials like to call, a quarter life crisis! 🙃

Sure, it's good that you're thinking about these things and planning ahead, but the moment that your thoughts become toxic and it paralyzes you, that's when it becomes worrisome. Don't dwell on your problems. Try to make concrete steps on how you're going to solve them. No matter how big or small each step may be, it's still a step towards growth and self betterment!

Generally speaking here are my big goals for now, finish my 2 years of work experience, and pass the boards. After that, I'm still planning what to do next. As for my little steps, I learned to take care of myself more and not be too hard on myself.

1. Give yourself a breather

After graduating, if you have the time and means, give yourself a break before starting to find a job. I'm glad I had one, and all of my friends who immediately started working regretted not having one. It was the perfect way to detox and recharge yourself. And if you're already working now, do give yourself breaks where you get to relax and not stress about anything! Life's not all work.

2. Do what you love

In that period of break, try to do as many things that you love! Hobbies and activities that excite you. Things that you didn't have time when you were focused on your studies during college. For me, it was my b/vlogging. There were busy months wherein some of my friends and family thought I've fully taken on the b/vlogger life because of the back to back events, but as much as I'd love to, I know I wanna be an architect someday, so that's my main focus. And now that I'm working, I try to squeeze in my hobbies every now and then to make each week happier and more exciting. You have to have something to look forward to!

3. Take care of your body - Physically

Having 8 hours of sleep, eating healthy and exercising regularly can make all the difference to your mind and body! Okay so this part, admittedly I'm having a hard time as well. Having 8 hours of sleep is a struggle for me as I'm always busy, I try to eat as healthily as possible so that's why I bring baon to work so I don't have to buy fast food, and as for exercising, I'm too tired after work that I don't have time for it anymore. My goal now is to incorporate these more in my life and be a better version of me. Who says resolutions are only for new years?

4. - And emotinally/spiritually

Now, I don't want to sound all preachy, but I really do find peace whenever I talk to God. During those toughest times, I always prayed to Him and asked for his guidance and holy spirit to help me find my way. If you find going to church isn't your thing, try to find a quite and safe space where you can meditate. Clear your mind and just release all the negative energy.

5. Celebrate yourself!

Self love isn't selfish! Give yourself a pat in the back. You worked so hard, don't wait for anyone's appraisal. Treat yo self. With your fave food, drink, movie, or anything actually (in my case, a fun shoot with a creative photographer and hmua team hi josh, danica and camille 💁🏻‍♀️)

In Love with Lub D Hostel Makati🛌

As a broke millennial, whenever I'm traveling with friends, I'd want to save as much money as I can. Often times, this is apparent in where I'd sleep for the night. But also, I want to experience quality accommodations. I don't want to save a lot of money if that meant sleeping somewhere I'm not comfortable in. Basically, I want that perfect balance of price and the output I'm getting!

And boy did I find the cutest hostel in Makati that's super worth your money! Whether you're traveling from the province or other country and are in need of a place to crash in the metro, or are just in need of a quick staycation, Lub D Makati is the place to be! Continue reading to see the amazing (and super sulit) room I stayed in and the gorg amenities they have!

So my stay started off with me checking in at their lobby with their supper accommodating staff! Lub D is the biggest hostel here in the Philippines and is awarded as the best hostel also by travel websites like Tripadvisor!

And then going to my room for a quick nap. TBH I wasn't expecting anything going to this hostel, cuz I didn't search for any pics prior to the stay. I wanted to be surprised! 😜 HAHA When I opened the door to my Junior Room, the biggest kind of room they have in the hostel, I was delightfully surprised with how cute and spacious the space was! The bed was a queen sized bed that allowed so much room for me to roll over in my sleep! Lol!

Super loved these throw pillows!! I would buy them and put it on my couch 😍

And the restroom is so sleek with its white tile "bricks". Plus, they have these signs that asked the guests to save water and energy by reusing our towels a few times (but it was only a suggestion, you can still opt to have your towels changed everyday) and notes to close the taps of the lavatory and shower head whenever they are not in use. So, plus points for trying to save the environment Lub D!

The lavatory area is located outside of the restroom, but the bedroom is still made private by the curtain separator dividing the room.

The room also has TV and lots of channels you can choose from for entertainment. Ohh, before I go further into detail about their amenities, "Lub D" by the way means "Sleep Well" or "Good Sleep" in Thai. So, just by its name, you're reassured to have a great night of sleep here.

I had an early dinner at Lub D's rooftop restobar, Essential Goodness. I did a separate review of them before, you can check it out HERE. This time, it was my first time to see it at night. It's still as swanky as it is at night. The yellow glow of the lighting sure put up a great ambiance for its guests. Plus the food is deliciously comforting as they are familiar but with added modern twists here and there. Pictured below are their "Chicken and Pork Adobo", "Mushroom and Truffle Cream Pasta", and "Cucumber Fresca with Pamplemousse Drink" 💖

After a great meal, I headed downstairs, as I was invited to play a round of beer pong at their activity area. Everyday, they have a special event that guests can join and can get to know each other with. Lub D, being a hostel, most of its guests are directed towards travellers and backpackers,so it's a really great initiative to have these events for guests to meet new friends!

Your girl won the beer pong game btw! Hehe 😉 Anyways, I decided I'd check out their other stuff tomorrow, and went to my room already to chill and call it a night. The next morning, I was recharged and ready to go back down to the recreation area and have some fun!

Apart from also having a bulletin board for travellers to check out for some FAQs about the metro, in this recreation area, are tons of games (they have classis retro games here like Pacman and Donkey Kong! And also lots of board games!) you can play, free wifi, computers for you to use, a lounge area with lots of adorable chairs, desks, seats and lots of plugs for you to be able to do work on your laptops! They also have a snackbar where you can order drinks, pastries and chips in case you get hungry. In this area is the Luggage Room, where guests can leave their stuff while waiting for their rooms to be ready. They have everything here!

Okay ang intense ng Pac Man game na to ahhh! Hahaha Look at my face when I died in the game lol

Ohh and they also have this mini theatre room, where they have Netflix! You do have to go there and share with other guests, so if you wanna be able to choose the movie you wanna watch, better get there early or make abang when the people inside are about to leave! HAHA And yes omg they have popcorn too!!

They have these special designated Skype rooms, where you can video chat with loved ones. Unfortunately when I was there, they were doing maintenance on the ipads, so it wasn't installed in these booths.

They also have 2 meeting/event rooms you can rent out! Plus, the 2 rooms can be combined to make an even larger room!

After that, I then went to have brunch at Essential Goodness. Again, the ambiance is so pretty here! This time I had "Half-Stacked Pancake", "Eggplant Omelette", "Signature Honey & Cheese Toasted Sandwich" and their "House Blend Iced Tea".

Before checking out, I was shown Lub D's other room types, which were the Barkada Room and the Dormitory Room. The Barkada Room can accommodate up to 4 people. Just like the Junior Room I stayed in, the Barkada Room has its own private bathroom. It's again really spacious. And the stair leading to the top bunks is very sturdy. The top bunks also provide a lot of head space, that it doesn't make you feel cramped up top.

And the Dormitory Room can accommodate up to 8 people! You pay per bed in the Dorm Room (very convenient for solo travellers) , but let's say you are travelling with your 7 friends, they can arrange to have you all in one room, depending on the availability of the said rooms. The Dorm Room shares a Dormitory Shower with the other Dorm Rooms in their designated floors. The male shower is separate from the female's. In the Shower Room is also a washing machine and ironing area where you can wash and iron your clothes.

Each guest had a closet space with locks. Plus each of their beds had mini closets, night light and plugs!

I found this sign so cute. The "No Durian" part reminded me of signs at the Singapore's MRTs hehe

The new It Resto Bar in Poblacion: Essential Goodness For The Pilgrims at Lub D Hostel 🥘🍹🥞🥃

Whenever I hear "Poblacion", the first thing that pops up in my mind is NIGHTLIFE. Poblacion is known for being one of the go-to places whenever you wanna have a good drink with your friends. It also has some of the best bars and restos in the metro. And a new addition to the lineup is Essential Goodness For The Pilgrims, a rooftop resto bar located in Lub D Hostel (the biggest Hostel here in the Philippines)! I'm so excited to share with you all of the amazing food and drinks we got to try at their launch!

First things first, lemme just gush to you guys about the interiors of this place! I just loooove how everything is put together. TBH, I wasn't expecting this kind of luxury for a restaurant in a hostel. Most of the time, I see restaurants in other hostels to be quite small, and minimally designed. I just love the whole warm and cozy vibe of Essential Goodness For The Pilgrims! It just invites you to have a seat, eat a nice meal and have a great drink while you're at it.

Now onto the food! Their dishes are really well thought out and the processes the chefs had to go through, just to achieve the revamped beloved filipino dishes with their own twists, were amazing! Each dish was cooked to perfection and plated so beautifully, each photo we took was very IG worthy!

Half Stacked Pancake. berry compote, lavender whipped cream, bacon. Lovely pancakes and bacon combo!

Eggplant Omelette. roasted eggplant, three egg scramble, minced beef. The absolute FLUFFIEST omelette I've ever tried!! It's like biting into a fluffy egg cloud. A must try for egg lovers!

Essential Breakfast. green eggs, english bangers, bacon, baked beans, rye. A hearty heavy breakfast!

Buffalo Chicken Sandwich. roasted chicken meatballs, buffalo sauce, blue cheese, sesame bun.

I gotta say, it was hard to choose a drink from their wide range of cocktails! I'm the type who likes to try out new and unique flavors, and boy did they have plenty!

Earl Grey. First drink is composed of earl grey tea, vodka, elder flower, lime and cointreu. It was a nice refreshing drink that paired well with the breakfast food!

Next was the Kaffir Lime. It had kaffir lime, vodka, chili, lemon and syrup. If you're familiar with tom yum soup, this drink definitely resembled that! It had all of the sourness, spiciness and kick to that classic soup! A drink for the more adventurous people!

Their drinks definitely shined and I can only imagine now how their bar would do well at night with all of these great drinks! Definitely inviting my barkada here next time!

Lastly, I had the Wasabi. Yup, this drink had wasabi in it!! Apart from that, it had whisky, lemon sour, syrup, angostura bitters. My top recommendation that you should try! Honestly was afraid to try this one, but surprisingly it's sooo good! Who would've known that wasabi would go well in a drink! Mad props to the creative genius who made these drinks! Def gonna try the other drinks next time.

Beauty On Call 💅🏼

Beauty On Call. As a blogger, I always want to look clean and presentable when going to events, meeting with a client and endorsing a new product. As such, part of the look I'm trying to achieve is "put together". And for me, nail care can leave a huge impact to whoever you're talking to. A well-groomed mani pedi can not only help you look the part, it can also boost your confidence. And I'm so happy to share with you guys this newfound treasure of a salon and clinic I discovered in Manila that gives quality output at a very affordable price!

Situated in Sampaloc (you can actually search them on Waze and Google Maps!), Beauty On Call is you're new go to salon for your nailcare needs! Not only that, they also have skincare treatments and do cosmetic surgery! Doctor Owen who is a certified licensed cosmetic sugeon, is the owner of the clinic. You can have consultations with her here, but for the actual surgery procedures, she has separate clinics in hospitals.

For my session at Beauty On Call I opted to have the full service for the hands and feet. I had the Foot Spa Treatment, which includes a foot spa soak in their massage chair, getting exfoliated, a sugar scrub, a peppermint mask, hot towel steam, basic mani pedi and a foot massage (wow the whole enchilada!) for only Php 498!!! Isn't that CRAAAZY?? And then I opted to upgrade to an Orly Gel Mani Pedi which only costs Php 898 pesos for BOTH hands and feet!! Like are you guys having hearts on your eyes now like the emoji? Wahaha (If you want to have an Orly Mani only, you can have it for Php 478 or an Orly Pedi only, you can have it for Php 518) LOOOVE! For those who are unaware of the "usual" prices of Orly Gel Mani Pedis in malls, they can go up to a whopping Php 1500+ just for the hands alone!

You might be thinking, "meh baka iba naman kasi quality nung nail polish nila or yung service ng paggawa..." GIIIIRL no! The attendants who did my nail treatments were very careful with my nails and did a beautiful job in shaping them. I just hate it when in other salons some don't listen to what I say na "wag ipudpud" the clippers/tools masyado in grooming my nails or when they accidentally cut my skin. Ate Lilac who did my nails was perfect in executing her art, perfectly trimmed, polished and bedazzled ang nails ko! Also, I wanna share the fact na she triple-coated my Orly gel polish! Hindi tinipid mga besh. In some salons kasi they only do 2 or sometimes 1 pa nga.

FOOT SPA SOAK AND BUBBLE MASSAGE

FEET EXFOLIATION Not your regular exfoliation session, they sprayed a special callous remover to soften the skin and make it easier to remove those dead skin cells. Can you guys tell I'm trying my very best not to laugh in these photos? haha I'm very ticklish in my feet!

SUGAR FOOT SCRUB Doc tells me that her treatments were created with her thinking as a doctor (beneficial to the body and no harmful chemicals) and as a customer (soothing and relaxing and must be worth the price you pay!)

PEPPERMINT MASK

CLING WRAP & HOT TOWEL STEAM to relax the muscles. The cling wrap is placed before the towel so as to not it be too hot on your skin.

FOOT MASSAGE What foot spa is complete without a foot massage?? Very relaxing indeed!

PS Don't mind the "sandy" particles in the foot tub, those are the remnants of the Peppermint Mask washed off from the feet.

Now the Orly Gel Mani Pedi! I chose a translucent pearl white Orly Gel polish for my nails.

You can even have nail art added for an additional Php 50! I choses to have an accent index finger, with silver dipping powder added to make it sparkly. And we topped it off with a pink rhinestone and pearl bead. Don't fret that it'll just fall off right after, because they use a special adhesive polish! And just look at Ate Lilac's nails! She tells me that her nails have undergone intense paglalaba and washing the dishes, and they are STILL this perf! Wow!

They also have a regular foot spa area, no bubbly massage here but you can still have a good soak, scrub, mask and massage here!

AND I'M DONE! My hands and feet are sooo happy I pampered them at Beauty On Call!

Acacia Hotel Manila Staycation 🌳

Last weekend, I got to stay at the luxurious 5-star hotel, Acacia Hotel Manila. From its chic interiors, delicious selection of food, and the amazing hospitality of their staff, it truly made my staycation weekend unforgettable! Check out the AMAZING things I got to do at Acacia Hotel Manila!

Situated in the south, Alabang area, Acacia Hotel Manila is the perfect staycation spot because I truly feel like the south has that certain ambiance that is more "chill" and less hectic compared to the north. But it's also close enough to the metro that you won't feel too disconnected with the city life. (and because yes, Alabang is technically in Muntinlupa city haha)

Just a 1 hour drive from Quezon city, you can already go to Acacia and be immersed in a relaxing vibe.

I love the intricate details of their driveway area. You can already see themes of their "Acacia" motif. The patterns on the wall are the plan view (top view) symbols of trees and I also think the swirls on the ceilings as well mirror the same aesthetic as well. And the structural columns are like trunks and branches of trees, spreading out at the top to support the building. How cool that they thought of these right? #architecture! hahaha

Inside the main lobby, we're greeted with more of these patterns, and a gorgeous seating area for guests.

In the left side of the main lobby, we get a view of their A Steakhouse restaurant where meat lovers can rejoice! Indulge in a wide range of USDA prime beef along with the freshest catch of the day. Aside from its perfectly grilled steak menu options, A Steakhouse also offers juicy Angus Prime Burger and Surf & Turf (a combination of King Prawns and Rib Eye Steak) as bestsellers. Pair your steak cravings with well-curated wine list and a selection of signature soups and salads, appetizers and desserts that will surely make for a sophisticated dining experience.

And walking to the reception area, to the left, is their The Lobby at Acacia restaurant, where we spent our first lunch of the weekend. Here is the perfect place to enjoy a sumptuous meal or a drink any time from morning to midnight. Make it your go-to spot for casual or business meetings. Hearty breakfast sets, main entrées, light snacks, and desserts are all available in the a la carte menu. Its wide list of non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages will not disappoint either.

It has beautiful view of the staircase that goes up to the function halls. Can you already imagine yourself striking a pose here as a debutante, or couple? Or you know, just like me just taking a nice ootd for the gram? HAHAHA

Okay after having these nice shots, we were already famished and were excited to try out their food at The Lobby! Everything was so gooood and our tongues and tummies were thanking us throughout the whole lunch because the food DID NOT DISAPPOINT!

One of the crowd favorites were the clubhouse sandwiches, salmon entree and the sashimi bento box! Flavorful and filling, each bite is heaven to your mouth!

These cute milkshakes look like strawberry, but they were actually watermelon, and they were so good! It was a good choice because it was very refreshing to sip with the food. They have a wide selection of drinks that you can try.

And for dessert, we had matcha mouse which made it a perfect way to end this heart lunch. Sweet with a hint of matcha.

Before heading up to our suite, we walked upstairs para magbawas ng kinain, jk to check out their funtion halls. Unfortunately, their grand ballroom had an ongoing event and we weren't able to go inside. But from a few meters away, I can already see the ornate detailing of some metal tree branches that I can guess would look lovely on a shindig!

On that same floor, you have a bird's eye view of the main lobby area.

And now let's go to my room, which was the Junior Suite, one of the biggest rooms in the hotel. Upon entering the suite, we see the living room area, where guests can chill, dine and chat.

And to the right is the toilet & bath, where it is spacious enough to include a separate shower and bath tub area!

And aaaahhh the creme de la creme, the bedroom area! I cannot tell you how much I loved their bed! It was actually a Dream Bed – a customized orthopedic bed with memory foam tops designed to give you quality sleep. Sounds blissfully wonderful right? I had a hard time getting up in the morning because of it felt like a big soft hug to my body!

Here is a view of the bedroom connecting to the living room. It truly is spacious, making your mind feel more relaxed with a more spcaious place, it makes it delutterizes your brain as well, and makes it easier for you to unwind.✨

Ample closet space for your clothes and luggage. And look! Comfy bathrobes to make your staycation extra special!

And of course, they have cable tv to provide you with the utmost selection of entertainment.

Had a restful siesta nap and poof it was already dusk! Feeling recharged, had a few more snaps with the floor to ceiling glass windows, that perfectly framed the street lights with the cars and buidlings, before heading out for dinner.

We had dinner at Acaci, their buffet restaurant which offers a bountiful buffet spread of international and Asian dishes. Dinner was again, of course AMAZING! What I love about dining here is that apart from the selection of food served in trays, they have cooking stations where you can request to have all sorts of food grilled and cooked for you.

After a delightful dinner, we then went up to the Tree Top Lounge to have a few drinks. This al fresco lounge is a great place to chill out to good music with your favorite drink in hand with your friends and family. The spectacular view of the city sets the mood to a great nightcap.

After a few drinks, we then went to their Lurra Wellness Spa

to have a nice massage to end this amazing night. We had the Aromatherapy massage, and HANDS DOWN, it was the best massage I've ever had so far! I can feel every tension from my body being removed by the masseuse! There were some massage moves that were new to me, that were able to reach pressure points that were really stressed! I am definitely going back to their spa!

And when we got back to the suite, we were surprised to see these cakes they prepared for us! We snacked on these decadent chocolate cakes while watching a movie before calling it a night.

Next day, feeling recharged and ready to continue our staycation, we decided to have a quick dip before having breakfast. But first, a few bathrobe shots! hehe

The natural lighting was perfect for shooting!

Going to the pool area is this function area where you can have an outdoor party! This huge wall actually functions as a waterfall when turned on, and it has a stage and mezzanine area for the guest/s of honor! To the right side, you have a nice view of Alabang.

They also have a super nice gym complete with all the equipment (that I unfortunately forgot to take a picture if because I snapped this selfie #facepalm, but you can check it out on my Stories Highlights on my Instagram where I toured the whole hotel if you'd like! IG: @tellemaywhy)

Now onto the pool area! It was a nice way to start the day with a splash! It has a kiddie pool area and 5-feet pool. They have fresh towels and refreshments for guests, and lounging area where you can get that perfect tan!

After a relaxing swim, BREAKFAST BUFFET AT ACACI!!! Wahhh when staying at a 5-star hotel, my favorite part is trying their breakfast buffet! Unli bacon, eggs, sandwiches, cereal bar, dried fish, champorado, lugaw, (lots more of ulam!) ohh and did I mention UNLI BACON?!

No make up me, after a quick shower to hurriedly rush for the buffest before it closes! HAHAHA

TelleMayWhy Tip: Apart from preparing your own movies and series you'd wanna watch one other tip that I'd recommend you doing is prepping a nice soothing bath! You can prep by buying bath bombs and bubble bars from Lush (not a sponsored ad haha I just really love their products! Smells soooo good and their environmentally friendly - they use eco-friendly glitter that dissolve and don't harm the seas, and they're anti animal testing!) Research whether your hotel has a bath tub, in Acacia's case, ALL of their rooms have bath tubs! I swear, splurging on a bath bomb or two will make you staycation level up a whole lot more! For this set of pics, I used the Sparkly Pumpkin bubble bar from Lush's Halloween limited edition bath bombs and bubble bars. It was soooo bubbly and smelled so good. It felt like fall, even though we don't have fall here in the Philippines! HAHAHA

It was a fun weekend of staycation getaway here at Acacaia and I'm for sure going back to recharge and relax!

Staying at Cinderella’s Room in Disneyland Hotel Japan💙

Ever since I was little girl, there wasn't a time that I could remember when I didn't love fairytales and Disney Princess movies. I just love being whisked into another world filled with magic and wonder! And admittedly, when asked who's my all time favorite Disney princess, I couldn't give a specific one, because it changes all the time! HAHA It depends which movie I watched the most recent 😛 But I do have a top 5, and one of them is Cinderella. I know, some think of her as one of the boring ones, but Idk, it's something about her gracefulness and charming personality that attracts me to her character. And of course, who could forget about that ball gown transformation Fairy God Mother bippity-boppity booed on her! ✨ That is why when we stayed in Tokyo's Disneyland Hotel, I was so ecstatic to choose the Cinderella-themed room! Check out this blog post for all the details about our very posh stay at one of Disney's OG princesses room! 💖

So first of all, I'd just wanna share to you guys that we went to Disneyland & Disney Sea on our 5th and 6th day in Japan. I just felt the most excited to write about this post the most so I skipped ahead HAHAHA But rest assured that I will be sharing with you all of my #TelleMayWhyTips and secrets that I learned from our Japan Trip from Planning to Day 8!

*I'm going to have a separate post showing you guys the exterior of our hotel and the lobby, but for now let's focus on the actual Cinderella room.

Now, onto the room! So for my Japan trip, I came with my family. This trip was actually my grad gift for finally graduating college and with pa-bonus latin honors pa! HAHAHA #HumbleBrag chz thank you mommy and daddy for this!

We were a family of 5, myself, mom, dad, big sister and her daughter. I was the one assigned doing ALL of the planning, which included booking the hotels and airbnb we stayed at. TBH, the most stressful one to book was this Disneyland Hotel room! Whenever I went go to Tokyo's Disney Resort page (tokyodisneyresort.jp) on the first try, the screen would go to the notification site that says that the site is "too crowded", and I'd have to refresh it every 5 seconds or so.

SOBRANG KASTRESS MGA BESHIEMAY!!! I'm not sure if it was because our internet was slow (shoutout sa PLDT di pa rin nila inaayos net namin for 5 months na! wew so I just load pocket data --hassle maging blogger without internet guys wahaha anyways nagrant na dito??) or if Disney Resort's website is just qeueing me with the other site visitors.. But yeah, when you get stuck in that notification site, better prepare yourself to keep on refreshing for about 10-20 minutes!

#TelleMayWhyTipWhen the website finally opens, be quick to use your time and keep on browsing their website! It has a time limit and when you leave it (let's say you went to have a potty break) there's a high chance that they'll kick you out because you weren't using it anymore.

You have to create a Disney account in order to book a room. There are actually packages that include the room and park tickets already, but they are also limited. When we booked our room, those packages were already sold out! I booked the room around June and our trip was still on September, so I thought that was enough time to get a room and tickets. I should've known better, we're talking about DISNEY here.

We weren't able to book the package (btw, the package also includes some other perks like unli refill refreshments in the park, special Disney memorabilia etc you can check it out on their website-- but because of all this "perks" the package is also more expensive versus buying tickets & booking a room separately), and there were only a few rooms left available! The room choices were standard deluxe rooms (also quite luxurious, but it wasn't a Disney character-themed room), Alice in Wonderland room, Beauty and the Beast room, Tinkerbell room, and Lilo & Stitch room.

I was already attached to the thought of staying in a Cinderella room, and upon seeing that most of the Cinderella rooms (good for 2) were already sold out, I got a bit disheartened. But yay at the very last option, there is a Cinderella suite that can accommodate all of us and is STILL AVAILABLE! (we were originally planning to book 2 rooms +1 bed for the other room but since this one's available and technically priced the same if we booked 2 separate rooms, we opted for this one instead) My heart was pounding so loud as I was clicking and typing my info on the website, afraid that the time limit my kick me out of the site! HAHAHA

Aaaaand booked! #TelleMayWhyTip Once booked, you'll have a "travelcase" on your Disney account, which summarizes your itinerary for the 2 days. You have privileges there wherein you can click the plus sign (+) and get to book theme park tickets, special reservations to the hotel restaurants and selected park restaurants. You also get a "15 minute" early bird access to the theme parks if you're a hotel guest!! I cannot EMPHASIZE this enough, UTILIZE THIS PERK TO THE EXTENT OF YOUR POWERS! hahaha why is this so important? Disneyland has "fast passes" that gives you a selected time frame wherein you can go to that specific ride and NOT have to line up at all! All you have to do is scan the qr code on your park ticket (all theme park goers can have fast passes, because the qr code is on the theme park ticket), and the fast pass will get printed on the spot. There is a catch though, you don't get to print your fast passes whenever you want. The flow goes like this, get a fast pass from one ride, go back to that ride when it's time, enjoy the ride, go to your next ride that you wanna have a fast pass and repeat. So it's only after each ride you accomplish you get to have another fast pass. If you're a bit confused, don't worry, on your first fast pass (and the following fast passes), it will indicate at the bottom what time you can have your next fast pass. While waiting for your next ride, you can always have a snack or line up for the other rides. Ohh and did I mention fast passes are limited? So that's why the 15minute hotel guest perk is very important because you get to have first dibs on some rides!

Now fast forward to September, and Disneyland Night! Walking into the fresh, clean and super pretty room, I got soooo kilig! The interiors was so well-thought out! Every intricate detail has a lil bit of Cinderella.

Our Cinderella Suite has a living area where the couch bed is located. (The suite is standard for 4 people, and stictly needs to have a +1 bed if you're 5 people staying). Living area had of course TV and spacious room for everyone to hang out, and it has a coffee table on the side with two seats as well.

And then there's the other room with two pastel draped beds. UGH SO CUTE! And those "C" emblems on the headboards? For me pala talaga tong room guys hehe "Christelle" 😉

And it has it has it's own coffee table area as well and beside it a tv and steror system.

Naturally, I prepared for this special occasion and brought a powder blue dress and my "glass" slippers to have a Cinderella moment in our suite. Hihi

I want drapes over my bed at home as well! LOOOOVE

I repeat, glass shoes not included in the room. HAHAHA

Cinderella is a boss babe, and I'm channeling her inner princess! YAS! hahaha

Even the closet had cute wall papers! Look at Jaq and Gus!

And this vanity mirror is located at the very first part of the suite, upon entering. So cute! *omg guys I wasn't able to take a photo of the vanity mirror pala, but it'll be in my vlog! Here's the seat na lang to the vanity mirror haha*

Directly in front of it is the lavatory area, which has all of these cute toiletries.

And to the left of the lavatory area is the toilet room, and to the right of the lavatory area is the bath and shower area. Yup, they're separate like most Japanese bathrooms are set up.

I regret not taking a photo of the toilet. You know how cool Japanese toilets are haha, seat warmers, built in bidets and music stereo to mask your "duty" sounds hahaha But yeah, here is a shot of the toilet room, when seated on the toilet. HAHAHA

And this super nice bath tub room! I love the tiles on the walls! There's actually a nice Disney convenience store at the ground floor of the Disneyland Hotel, and they have bath bombs there! So I bought some bath bombs and some snacks so I could enjoy my bubble bath. Enjoyed these wasabi Calbee chips and peach beer over a lavender bath bomb. 💜

A Cozy Staycation in QC 💜💙

Sometimes, we just need an escape from our busy everyday lives, away from all the stress and just have a relaxing breather. We need a staycation! But we often shrug off this idea because we feel like having a staycation would entail spending lots of our hard earned money. Fear not! This isn't always the case! I'm so happy that I discovered Airbnb! Believe it or not, I was only introduced to this website 3 years ago, when I was looking for a good place to stay in one of my out of the country trips. It has now grown more popularly in our country in the Philippines, and more Airbnbs have been popping up! Take a look at this cute and cozy (not to mention affordable) Airbnb my friends and I stayed in!

This Airbnb is located in Quezon City. And might I just add that I JUST ABSOLUTELY LOVED our staycation here!!

I cannot tell you guys how happy we were to find this cozy airbnb! It truly felt like we were staying at a chic hotel.

The interiors were very pretty, very Instagrammable! I loved the touches of character in every part of the airbnb (the beautiful paintings, the ornate candle holders, the fascinating collection of books, the purple carpet, the rubber ducky haha)

The place was sparkling clean, had tv plus, and she even prepared a usb full of movies you can choose from! Very thoughtful ❤️

The place also has fast wifi and hot water for the shower (2 things I personally look for when staying at an airbnb lol) It has a cute nook for dining and/or working space. As you can see I had my laptop with me, and was so grateful that the place had fast internet!

The host was very easy to contact, responded really fast to my questions. Overall, the price (only Php 1,300/night) is very worth it for the quality of this airbnb! Would definitely go back to have another staycation here. 5 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Himalaya Botanique Tooth paste 🍃

IT'S TIME TO CHECK YOUR LABELS!

Tayo na ba?? Char lang! HAHA Not that kind of "labels". Himalaya sent me this fun and informative package about the ingredients in our toothpaste. We seldom check the back of our products for its ingredients info, hence we unknowingly put harmful chemicals into our bodies when applied on a regular basis. Check out this fun blog post where I did a diy homemade organic tooth paste and compared it to Himalaya Botanique Tooth paste!

When I got this huge package, I was so excited to open it to see what's inside. And when I finally did, I was so confused why it had some common grocery items, when I thought it was from a brand selling tooth paste?

Upon reading, I realized they were challenging me to go organic and make my own tooth paste and compare it to theirs. Being a crafty person, I was G to do it and test it for myself!

So first thing's first: the ingredients. You'll need:

1. Two tablespoons of baking powder

2. Two tablespoons of salt

3. Six tablespoons of coconut oil

4. Two packets of Stevia

5. Six drops of your favorite essential oil (optional)

Then it's pretty much just measuring and mixing all the ingredients together until it turns into a paste. Then apply onto your tooth brush like you normally would.

And voila! Here's the end result of my tooth paste.

As you can see, it's really not that visually appealing. I tried mixing it reaaaally hard but it just won't become into a "paste".

And when I did try it, there were still particles and it was not that really a pleasant experience, as I felt that I was just applying oil onto my teeth.

Then I lifted the top portion of the package to reveal their tooth paste, and compare it to the one I made.

I can definitely say that the feeling was fresher and pleasant, just like the conventional tooth pastes we're used to!

Why make your own organic tooth paste, when you can buy an affordable one that does the work and work just as well as you natural and home made one!

I'm really enjoying brushing my teeth every night with Himalaya Botanique Tooth Paste! Been using it for 2 weeks now hehe

Out and about in BGC 🖤

One of my favorite places in the metro is BGC. This urban jungle is filled with picturesque tall buildings and lots of beautiful wall murals! Here's a quick lookbook from one of my BGC trips with some fellow blogger friends. 🖤
